Shortly after Boris Johnson’s speech last night, the polling firm YouGov did a massive phone-round asking people for their opinion on it.
They reported their findings:
‘An overwhelming 78% of Britons support the new lockdown measures announced today, including 44% who “strongly support” them. Just 17% of Britons are opposed…’
There was no loaded question. They made no mention of ‘tackling’ Covid, in fact no mention of Covid at all.
Support or Oppose?
YouGov simply asked: ‘The Government has announced new lockdown measures including pubs and restaurants closing at 10pm, limits on attending weddings, limits on indoor sports, and office workers being advised to work from home if they can. In general, do you support or oppose these new measures?’
In response, 44% ‘srtrongly’ supported the measures. 34% showed ‘somewhat’ support. Those two added together give the 78% support figure.
In opposition were the ‘Somewhat oppose’ who came out at 9% while ‘strongly oppose’ were 8%. Those two added together come to 17%. 6% didn’t know.
Political party affiliation made hardly any difference. EU Leavers were more in opposition than were Remainers, but both were still in the minority.
Figures show only 5% of new infectuions were acquired in the hospitality trade.
Younger people were more opposed than older people, but a majority of those under 25 were still supportive of the Prime Minister’s announcement..
In vox pops, people were blaming pubs and restaurants, even though the figures show only 5% of infections are being acquired in those settings. 45% are being acquired in care homes.
It’s all your own fault
The general public are also blaming each other, following the lead of both the Prime Minister last night and Foreign Secretary Dominic Raab this morning. Newspapers are reporting: ‘Dominic Raab today warned the UK ‘could end up in a national lockdown’ if Boris Johnson’s new coronavirus crackdown fails to get the disease under control.
‘The Foreign Secretary said a second shutdown ‘is what we want to avoid’ but the nuclear option remains in the Government’s ‘arsenal’ if all else fails.
‘Mr Raab said he hoped ‘if everyone plays by the rules’ then the nation will be able to go into the Christmas period without a national lockdown being imposed.’
‘It’s all your own fault’, the Mail sarcastically headlined their article.
Cases are not rising ‘exponentially’
On Monday, obviously co-ordinated with the Government, Prof Chris Whitty and Sir Patrick Vallance unveiled their sensationalist scaremongering graph. This predicted 50,000 ‘cases’ by mid-October ‘if’ they doubled every seven days.
Cases are not rising exponentially and if they follow France and Spain, nor will they.
The same experts were saying a week ago that they were terrified the UK would follow France and Spain.
Yet if the UK follows France and Spain, as the Mail’s graph shows, infections reach 10,000, not 50,000, while deaths remain in double figures, not in the 200 bracket.
Even in his broadcast, Boris Johnson said: ‘The virus has started to spread again, in an exponential way.’ It hasn’t. Surely a Classics scholar knows what ‘exponential’ means? ‘It’s no less fatal than it was in Spring’, he said. That too, is not true. It is only a third as fatal, say the doctors treating it, because treatments are now smarter..
My people love it so
The false prophets, Ferguson, Whitty, Vallance together with Covid Project Fear have done their job. People are terrified of a disease which is not even in the UK’s August top twenty as a cause of death. More people are dying of influenza at the moment than of Covid-19. Yet the facts make no difference. It is just as the Prophet Jeremiah said in his day:
Jer 5:31 The prophets prophesy falsely, and the priests (or ‘officers’) bear rule by their means; and my people love to have it so: and what will ye do in the end thereof?
What indeed will we do? The previous worst recession was at the time of Queen Anne’s War & the freezing of the Thames in 1709. We have only had a prime minister since Robert Walpole took that role in 1721. If we rate our Prime Ministers by economic success, Boris Johnson is not just the worst Prime Minister in 300 years. He is the worst Prime Minister in history.
All this will impact on health, well-being, family incomes, for generations to come. Forget a V-shaped recovery. If the threats of Mr Raab come to pass, the ‘recovery’, so to speak, will be pear-shaped.
Real experts write
Professor Carl Heneghan
On the bright side, a group of real experts have written to the Prime Minister calling for an end to the restrictions. The open letter was written by Oxford’s Professor Sunetra Gupta and Professor Carl Heneghan, Professor Karol Sikora, and by Sam Williams, director of the consultancy firm Economic Insight. Signatories include Professor Sucharit Bhakdi (JG University of Main) and Prof David Paton, both known to us already.
In the letter (text here) they say: ‘In summary, our view is that the existing policy path is inconsistent with the known risk-profile of Covid-19 and should be reconsidered.
In the US a ‘spike’ of infections or cases was not followed by a significant rise in deaths.
‘The unstated objective currently appears to be one of suppression of the virus, until such a time that a vaccine can be deployed. This objective is increasingly unfeasible (notwithstanding our more specific concerns regarding existing policies) and is leading to significant harm across all age groups, which likely offsets any benefits.’
They call for ‘targeted measures that protect the most vulnerable from Covid, whilst not adversely impacting those not at risk.’
‘Backlash’ among Tory MPs
And nor was it in Sweden.
The other hopeful sign is a claim in the Mail online, echoed in other outlets, that Conservative MPs are increasingly unhappy with the anti-Covid restrictions. There is a ‘furious backlash’, says the paper.
Telford MP Lucy Allan tweeted: ‘Measures to tackle #covid must be proportionate to the risk. The virus is a serious threat to certain vulnerable groups.
‘We must protect these groups with targeted measures. Shutting down society causes massive damage to health, lives, and livelihoods of the whole population.’
Sir Graham Brady, Chairman of the 1922 Committee
The Telegraph reports that Sir Graham Brady, chairman of the influential 1922 Committee of Tory MPs, has accused the Government of ‘ruling by decree’. Sir Graham, has tabled an amendment requiring ministers to put any new measures to a vote. He argues it was ‘entirely possible’ to push through emergency laws quickly through Parliament in the normal way.
‘The British people are not used to being treated like children,’ he added.
Let us hope and pray he is right. The polling seems to indicate they love it.

Health Secretary Rt Hon Matt Hancock misled the public.
Health Secretary Matt Hancock was interviewed by Julia Hartley-Brewer on TalkRadio on Thursday 17th September. The video is HERE.
Julia H-B asked him if there was going to be another national lockdown for two weeks in October.
This is what Mr Hancock said: ‘It is a very serious moment. The virus is clearly accelerating. Unfortunately, the number of people in hospital has doubled every eight days in the last few weeks.’
Really, Secretary of State?
Here is what Toby Young said two days later on Lockdown Sceptics: ‘If you go to the Government’s COVID-19 dashboard and look at the data for daily Covid admissions to English hospitals (see below), it increased from 143 to 199 in the eight-day period to September 17th, the day Hancock was speaking. That’s not ‘doubling’. What about daily admissions for the whole of the UK? It increased from 196 on Sept 10th to 241 on Sept 17th. Again, not “doubling”.
‘What about the last few weeks? Let’s go back 32 days from September 17th (4 x 8), which takes us to August 17th. There were 46 Covid admissions to English hospitals that day, according to the dashboard. If that figure doubled every eight days in the period leading up to September 17th, it would have reached 96 at the end of the first eight days, 184 at the end of the second, 368 at the end of the third and 736 at the end of the fourth. In fact, the number on the 17th was 199.
Ditto for the whole of the UK. On August 17th, that number was 96. If that doubled every eight days, the total on September 17th would have been 1,536. In fact, it was 241.’
He goes on: ‘Either Matt Hancock is looking at different data to that on the Government’s COVID-19 dashboard, or…’
How Matt Hancock did it
I can now reveal the clever illusionist trick Matt Hancock used to both make his claim and stay (almost) on the right side of the truth. Firstly, he only took the figures for new admissions to hospitals in England. The other nations spoil the claim. In Wales in particular, the figure for new admissions has bobbed around 40, 50, 60 since the middle of July. Here are the figures for England:
Firstly, he takes the figure for 17/09 of 199 and then goes nine days back to 08/09 when it was 99. That’s doubled. Or he could cite the figure for 15/09 and go back eight days to 07/09 which was 84. That’s more than doubled.
Secondly, he takes the figure for 08/09 of 99 and goes back eight days to 31/08 when it was 52. Almost double. Or he can use 09/09 which was 136 and compare with 01/09: 58. More than doubled.
Thirdly, he seizes the anomalous figure of 25 on 22/08 and goes forward seven days to 29/08 or nine days to 31/08. On both those days it was 52. Doubled. Or he can have 28/08 which is 44 and go forward eight days to 05/09 when it was 94. There: More than doubled.
That is all true, more or less. But if we are honest, we start from the same figures and concede new admissions were around 50 on the 17th or 18th of August, and four and a half weeks later on 16th or 17th September they were nearing 200. So the greater truth, the real not-quite-so-scary truth, is that they were doubling, in England only, every fifteen days or so, not every eight days as Mr Hancock claimed.
Truth is fallen
We are in a dangerous place as a nation when we cannot trust Ministers of the Crown to tell us the truth. Equally, where HM Ministers do not trust the public to make their own decisions based on reality but must be duped by falsehood into compliance with unlawful diktats.
Isaiah 59:14 And judgment is turned away backward, and justice standeth afar off: for truth is fallen in the street, and equity cannot enter.
Mr Hancock was appointed to be Her Majesty’s Secretary of State for Health and Social Care. He has damaged the nation’s health through his lockdown, sent death into care homes and paralysed the NHS. He must believe he is Her Majesty’s Secretary of State for eliminating infections of coronavirus. In such a role he thinks he has permission to mislead and bully the public for the greater good. But the word of God says:
Psalm 52:3 Thou lovest evil more than good; and lying rather than to speak righteousness.
As the BBC reports: ‘Hancock: “Follow Covid rules or they will get tougher”.’

Project Fear on Steroids

Mr Hancock seems to given a cue to Government advisors to ramp up Project Fear.
The BBC reports on the headline claim from the government’s chief scientific adviser, Sir Patrick Vallance, of ‘50,000 cases of Covid-19′ in two or three weeks’ time.
It goes on: ‘Speaking at Downing Street alongside chief medical adviser, Prof Chris Whitty, Sir Patrick stressed the figures given were not a prediction, but added: “At the moment we think the epidemic is doubling roughly every seven days. If, and that’s quite a big if, but if that continues unabated, and this grows, doubling every seven days… if that continued you would end up with something like 50,000 cases in the middle of October per day”.
‘”Fifty-thousand cases per day would be expected to lead a month later, so the middle of November say, to 200-plus deaths per day”.’

Chris Whitty also said the UK “risks 200 coronavirus deaths a day”. … Prof Whitty said there was a “very difficult balance” to be struck between preventing the NHS from being “overwhelmed by a huge spike” in cases and a second economic lockdown that could cause unemployment, poverty and deprivation, outcomes which would bring their own “long-term health effects”.’
Oh, he’s noticed. He claims ‘he extraordinary efforts of the population” stopped ‘the NHS and emergency services’ being ‘overwhelmed by a huge spike’, ‘in the first wave’. No, they didn’t. There was exactly that huge spike in deaths, many of which came about because of inappropriate treatment such as intubation and ventilation.
At the end of last week, hospitals across the UK were being told to clear beds and brace themselves for an influx of Covid patients in two weeks’ time. In two weeks’ time we shall see.
But this from Prof Whitty is priceless: ‘If the NHS is having to spend a large proportion of its efforts in trying to treat COVID cases, it will lead to a reduction in treatment for other areas such as early diagnoses for disease and for prevention programmes.’
That is exactly what lockdown achieved: Cancelled operations, missed disagnoses, people dying at home because they were afraid to call 999 or go to A&E. Cancer treatment in particuilar is now in crisis. People are dying precisely because of his lockdown.
Covid-19 out of the top twenty
Embarrassingly for the Governmentthe Daily Mail reports that Covid-19 has fallen from being the leading cause of death in the UK in April to lying in 24th place in August. One third of all deaths in April were attributed to the disease. Today it’s 1.4%. The paper reports:
‘Covid-19 was to blame for a third of all deaths in April. It was still the third most common way to die in June and remained in the top 10 in July. But it has dropped massively down the table over the summer, despite Britain still living under restrictions designed to curb the spread of the virus.
‘ONS data also shows fewer people died of any cause in August since 2000, when records began. A total of 746 deaths were registered for every 100,000 people last month, more than half of the 1,859 in April – the highest on record.
‘Experts say that because the coronavirus is the most severe in vulnerable people, deaths were “front loaded” to the start of 2020 when the elderly and people with underlying conditions caught it.’
Real figures from the ONS
In plain figures, the Office for National Statistics reports: ‘The number of deaths registered in England and Wales in the week ending 11 September 2020 (Week 37) was 9,811; this was 2,072 deaths higher than in Week 36.
‘In Week 37, the number of deaths registered was 5.4% above the five-year average (505 deaths higher).
‘Of the deaths registered in Week 37, 99 mentioned “novel coronavirus (COVID-19)”, accounting for 1.0% of all deaths in England and Wales.
‘This is the second lowest number of deaths involving COVID-19 since Week 12; this is an increase of 21 deaths compared with Week 36 (26.9% increase).’
Doing the maths
Looked at in the light of the real figures, even Chris Whitty’s scary ‘200 Covid deaths a day’ is not as huge a rise as he pretends. The ONS reports a week in which deaths from all causes were 2,000 higher than the week before.
Cases of Covid or just infections? Either way, the projection is at best speculative and at worst fear-mongering.
The graph the duo presented carried the current levels of supposed ‘infections’.
These included all their false positives.
In addition, they showed a down-turn in the previous few days.
Sir Patrick’s ‘50,000 cases’, really meant ‘infections’. If it were cases, then there would be ten times that, 500,000, actual infections. Factor in the false positives, and 5,000,000 would be testing positive per day. The Mail reports that the percentage of positive tests is now 2.5%. 5 million testing positive per day equates to 40 times that number tested.
But 200,000,000 is three times the actual population of the UK. Perhaps he has made a small mathematical error, but he still believes the whole population is going to be tested every day, day after day? He must mean ‘infections’.
Figures don’t stack up
OK, suppose it really is 50,000 ‘cases’. The Centre for Evidence-Based Medicine estimates that the current Case Fatality Rate – The World Health Organisation tells us that’s the ‘proportion of deaths among identified confirmed cases’ – was 1.5% as recently as August. That would mean 750 deaths per day out of the pair’s 50,000 cases. That’s way higher even than the scary 200.
So their ‘cases’ might not be March-and-April-type cases.. We may be misleading ourselves with the CFR. Let us pump in some other figures we know. Infections and cases today are moving into lower age groups. Perhaps 10%, 5,000, will be in vulnerable age-groups or those with pre-existing morbidities. And of that 5,000, well, let’s assume half end up in hospital. That will be just over ten per week on average in every one of the UK’s 1660 hospitals.
That is 150 people. Furthermore, the Daily Telegraph tells us that death rates for Covid-19 in ICU’s have fallen by a third from 60% in March down to nearer 20% today. So out of Sir Patrick’s 50,000 ‘cases’ there may be fifteen deaths. That’s tragic, but it’s not 200, let alone 750. Alternatively, if the 50,000 were infections, not cases, its about ten deaths per week. Looked at any way you wish, the figures simply do not stack up.
Complete over-reaction
Courtesy Financial Times. What the graph does not show it that Spain has now topped off and infections there are declining. NOt that they made much impact on deaths from the ‘killer virus’.
Let’s work back from Profs Vallance and Whitty’s 200 deaths per day. That would mean 1,000 daily admissions to ICU, and 33,333 Covid-19 admissions to hospital. Clearly, out of 50,000 cases, even real cases, that is preposterous.
Above all, the experience of Sweden shows that even with a second bump in infections, deaths from Covid-19 continue on their relentless downward way.
The new lockdown measures, curfews, rules of this that or the other the Prime Minister and the national First Ministers announce today will be a complete and destructive over-reaction to a non-problem. Infections might continue up before turning on to a Sweden-style downward curve. Deaths will continue to fall. And in a month’s time the Prime Minister will announce, ‘There, you see, the measures we took, tough though they were, worked!’
It’s like the man who always carries a shotgun, he says, to ward off tigers. ‘But’, you protest, ‘there are no tigers around here.’ ‘There, you see!’ he replies.
Will the public stand for it?
According to The Sun, Boris Johnson himself claims a ‘second wave of coronavirus’ is “inevitable” amid ‘surging cases’. The ridiculous ‘Nightingale Hospitals’ are again on standby, and the new lockdown could last six months. And all this just a month or two after we were urged to ‘eat out to help out’ and days after workers started plodding back to their city-centre offices.
Will the public stand for it? That depends partly on whether a majority continue to fall for it. Writing in the Telegraph, Janet Daley asks ‘whether the total elimination of Covid is a realistic or essential goal’. She quotes Prof Whitty’s remark about one’s own decisions not to distance, wear a muzzle, etc, could ‘put others at risk’. She replies:
‘This might be true but, again, it misses the larger moral question of whether Government diktat should be permitted to deprive whole populations of what are usually regarded as unassailable liberties in order to protect a very small minority of people who might – or might not – be in danger of what might – or might not – be seriously illness.’

The Government want to distribute vaccines against Covid-19 which are unlicensed. They have issued a Consultation and invite responses by this Friday 18th September 2020.
After entering your details, the Consultation is very short. There are just five blocks in which you can place a response. They are headed: ‘Temporary authorisation of the supply of unlicensed products’ ‘Civil liability and immunity’ ‘Expansion to the workforce eligible to administer vaccinations’ ‘Vaccine promotion’ and ‘Provisions for wholesale dealing of vaccines’
The UK’s Regulator
Medicines are licensed in the UK by the Medicines & Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA). Furthermore, from 31st December the UK will be on its own and not subject to additional EU regulations on medicines.
Stephen Lighfoot, the new Chairman of the MHRA
The MHRA is a quango, an ‘executive agency’, of the Department of Health and Social Care.
The Government website says its chairman is Stephen Lightfoot. He succeeded Prof Sir Michael Rawlins GBE only this month. Sir Michael held the post for just under six years. MHRA chairmen seem always to be knighted after a year or two in the job.
Mr Lightfoot is an NHS insider. He says he wants MHRA to develop ‘new regulatory processes which are proportionate, evidence-based and transparent, so that patients can gain earlier and safer access to new medical products than ever before.’ That sounds good, so long as corners are not cut along the way. Maintaining a reasonable degree of public safety, as we read in the Bible’s book of Leviticus, is the responsibility of government.
From it, we see the new chairman, Mr Lightfoot himself, is a shareholder in giant vaccine manufacturer Glaxo Smith Kline. Two other members, Amanda Calvert and Anne-Toni Rodgers, are shareholders of AstraZeneca Pharmaceuticals, another huge vaccine manufacturer.
Big Pharma
The world has many manufacturers of vaccines. Here is a list of them. However, Glaxo Smith Kline is probably the biggest. It boasts on its website that it has teamed up with Sanofi to be selected to supply the United States Government with 100 million doses of COVID-19 vaccine under ‘Operation Warp Speed’.
Meanwhile, AstraZeneca is looking to Europe and the Far East. The BBC reports that AstraZeneca is planning to make two billion doses of a coronavirus vaccine. It’s CEO, Pascal Soriot, said manufacturing was beginning already because, ‘we want to be as fast as possible’.
The HQ of Chinese vaccine firm BioKangtai, now teamed up with AstraZeneca.
Fierce Pharma reports AstraZeneca has done a deal ‘with Chinese firm BioKangtai to help provide its adenovirus vector-based COVID-19 vaccine candidate’. This is the vaccine ‘created by the University of Oxford’. That’s the vaccine whose study was recently temporarily put on hold owing to an ‘adverse reaction.’
AstraZeneca themselves claim to be about to ‘supply Europe with up to 400 million doses of Oxford University’s vaccine at no profit.’
Consultation Introduction
Turning to the Consultation , we’ll first look at its introduction. It starts by claiming: ‘COVID-19 is the biggest threat this country has faced in peacetime history…’
No, it isn’t. We have had worse post-war influenza epidemics. But certainly the absurd, destructive lockdown has been the biggest threat this country has faced not just in peacetime history but for over 300 years. It goes on:
‘… the UK government is working to a scientifically led…’ Hollow laugh.
‘… step-by-step action plan …’ Lurching from one incoherent decision to another.
‘… for tackling the pandemic …’ The UK epidemic has been over since May.
‘… taking the right measures at the right time …’ Like the ‘Rule of Six’?
And then: ‘Effective COVID-19 vaccines will be the best way to deal with the pandemic.’
We disagree. Building up immunity in the population will be the best way. In fact it may be just that happening which has spooked the vaccine enthusiasts. That’s because if the efforts of the younger element succeed in developing collective immunity we won’t need the vaccine. The epidemic is over. It could soon be all over for the vaccine too. And then millions of pounds of research money will have been poured down the drain.
Rigorous
‘Any vaccine must first go through the usual rigorous testing and development process and be shown to meet the expected high standards of safety, quality and efficacy before it can be deployed.’
Bill Gates has invested billions in vaccines since year 2000 through the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation.
It must simply be tested for the length of time they anticipate there could be problems. Vaccine supremo Bill Gates himself told BBC’s Nicky Campbell earlier this year that if you want to know a vaccine is safe against possible reactions for two years you test it for two years. Even then, you will never pick up the one-in-a hundred-thousand adverse reaction.
‘A temporary authorisation of the supply of an unlicensed vaccine could be given by the UK’s licensing authority under regulation 174 of the Human Medicines Regulations (see below). A COVID-19 vaccine would only be authorised in this way if the UK’s licensing authority was satisfied that there is sufficient evidence to demonstrate the safety, quality and efficacy of the vaccine. ‘Unlicensed’ does not mean ‘untested’,’ says the Government.
Another stupid decision
That is weird. Either the MHRA approve the vaccine or they don’t. If they are satisfied it’s safe and efficacious, what stops them licensing it? It’s an authority. It authorises a license. How long does that take? Can you imagine a meeting during which the MHRA board agree to ‘authorise’ a medicine rather than license it? So it’s not quite safe and efficacious enough for a license but we’ll put our name to it all the same?
The MHRA blog says: ‘new applications typically take 90 working days to process.’ But surely they don’t have to take that long. If it really is that urgent, why can they not send the inspectors around a bit quicker and then have a Zoom meeting?
Some of us won’t take this vaccine under any circumstances. But do the Government seriously believe anyone is going to take a vaccine which is unlicensed? Not only will folk be worried about the vaccine, but slackening off the rules will undermine public confidence in the whole regulatory framework. This has the makings of another very stupid decision.
Policy Objectives
These are the five headings in the Consultation to which you will be responding: You can follow our lead but put it into your own words.
Under the heading of ‘Policy Objectives’, the Government say: ‘1. … clarify our approach to a pre-existing provision (regulation 174) in the HMRs, that enables the licensing authority to temporarily authorise the supply of an unlicensed medicinal product for use in response to certain specific types of public health threat, including the suspected spread of pathogens.’
This is short-sighted and driven either by panic or vaccine vested interests. We say: No. Either license it or don’t. Do not invent a lesser category where a medicine may be ‘authorised’ but not ‘licensed’. That risks destroying public confidence in the whole framework for safety of medicines. Who will ever trust a medicine in the United Kingdom again? The vaccine should not be licensed unless it has been rigorously tested for two years. Meanwhile, any ‘public health threat’ from Covid-19 is vanishing day by day.
‘2. Clarify the scope of immunity from civil liability which regulation 345 of the HMRs puts in place for certain products whose unlicensed use is recommended by the licensing authority …’
The UK grants immunity to companies in return for the UK itself compensating those adversely affected by a vaccine. It doesn’t mean those adversely affected would not be compensated. Compensation is in another place. It’s the reverse side of the immunity coin. But clearly this all boils down to the licensing again. So we say The taxpayer must not pick up a compensation bill If companies are granted immunity for an unlicensed product.
More Policy Objectives
‘3. Ensure that the UK has the available workforce to administer the COVID-19 vaccine and influenza vaccine.’
This means hastily training up non-medical people to administer the vaccine – and indemnifying them if something goes wrong. The Government have convinced themselves that tens of thousands of needle-wielders will be needed to inject millions of us queuing up for the vaccine. In reality, demand for an unlicensed vaccine will be low, even before the anti-vaxxers get going (they will be barred from Facebook and Youtube of course.) We say: This is cutting corners and must not happen. Demand for the vaccine may well be lower than expected, especially as we build up collective immunity and the virus, like all SARS infections before it, peters out. An army of hastily-trained needle-wielders will not be required.
‘4. Ensure that the vaccines and treatments used in response to certain specific types of public health threat, such as a COVID-19 vaccine, can be promoted as part of national vaccination or treatment campaigns.’
Of course they will want a ‘national campaign’. The problem is, ‘Currently there is a prohibition on promoting an unlicensed medicine to healthcare professionals and the public.’ We say: The prohibition on promoting unlicensed medicines is quite right and must remain, to maintain public confidence in the safety of medicines.
‘5. Make short-term provisions for wholesale dealing of COVID-19 and flu vaccine …’
This seems to all about ensuring the NHS and / or armed services can move the vaccines around swiftly. But we may not have seen all the implications of it. We say: If the current system is there to maintain public safety and confidence, it must stay in place.
Nature of the consultation
They say: ‘1. Timing … having to move quickly means having less time than we would like to consult on these proposals – indeed, we are asking for comments by the end of Friday 18 September 2020.’
‘Therefore, please do not refrain from commenting simply because the official period for receiving comments is at an end. If you have something that you want to say about these proposals, the UK government wants to hear it.’
All the same, let us who are responding please try to keep to the official date.
2. Targeted discussions: ‘Even though we are happy to receive comments from anyone, the purpose of this consultation exercise is to engage directly with specific stakeholders that we have identified.’
Just who are these ‘stakeholders?’ Don’t you and I have a stake in this nation? How do you become a ‘specific stakeholder?’
Conclusions
But seriously, if you are a complete anti-vaxxer, it might be wise not to say that. After all, the opinion of those who won’t take the vaccine anyway is of little value to the Government here. Concentrate on how this proposal will undermine public confidence in the whole regulatory regime.

Just as you thought that maybe the Lord had begun to lift the spirit of stupidity with which he appears to have afflicted our various Governments in the UK, along comes another decision even more stupid than the rest, the irrational, oppressive ‘Rule of 6′.
The UK’s public-spirited young people went out to build up the population’s Covid-19 immunity on Friday and Saturday. Some may have celebrated their last weekend of modest freedom rather too enthusiastically, but what did the Government expect? Naturally, the police and officials were out on the streets looking out for breaches of social distancing.
The fun police even evicted patrons from a pub in Carmarthen because too many people were enjoying themselves. The Licensing Authority then slapped a 48-hour closing order on the Golden Lion in Lammas Street. More about that HERE.
Wales Online reports ‘the same punishment’ was meted out to the Railway Inn in Ammanford together with Ammanford and District Miners Welfare Club. Seriously. The Miners’ Club.
The hospitality trade
Deserted streets on Sunday evening.
But on Sunday evening an eerie calm descended. Streets were deserted, hostelries empty.
We celebrate that during the Revival in Wales, pubs closed because their regulars were found in church.
But all the same, everyone has to earn a living. Public houses provide a place to meet up and socialise. Bar staff need – and deserve – their wages. For the Government to deprive them of their money is a sin which cries to heaven.
Moreover, the hospitality trade is ancient. Joseph’s brothers discovered their returned money in an inn as recorded in Gen 42:27. In the New Testament, our Lord’s Good Samaritan in Luke 10:34 took the man who had been beaten up and robbed to an inn. He would have found such altruism banned in the UK for three months of this year. In a third reference, although it was the brethren rather than the taverns who (not ‘which’!) encouraged the Apostle Paul, nevertheless, the Bible refers once again to a thriving hospitality sector at a staging post on the road to Rome:
Acts 28:15 And from thence, when the brethren heard of us, they came to meet us as far as Appii forum, and the three taverns: whom when Paul saw, he thanked God, and took courage.
Be good children

Returning to the new and arbitrary ‘Rule’, the Institute for Government explains that no more than six people can congregate indoors, and even outdoors in England. So if there are more of you than six, you have to separate into groups of six, a bit like we Christians used to do in some of our larger prayer meetings. It’s groups of thirty allowed outside in Wales, fifteen in Scotland and Northern Ireland.
Furthermore, in Scotland and Wales, children under 12 are exempt from the rule. But not in England, or in Northern Ireland, unless I am very much mistaken.
According to the BBC, Transport Secretary Grant Shapps MP said if everybody follows the rules ‘we may well be by Christmas in a position to look at it again’. So if you are good children you might be able to have both pairs of grandparents over for Christmas dinner. But if not, and if you already have three or more children in England, you won’t see any of them. And you can have Auntie Dora, but not Uncle Clive.
Terrified of the R-number
Boris and the rest of the Government have it seems taken fright of the ‘R-number’. This is the number of new people infected by any one already-infected person. Interviewed on LBC, Mr Shapps didn’t know the figure for the dreaded ‘R-number’, except that it was ‘above one and we won’t be able to let up unless we can get it below.’
He evidently doesn’t realise that the majority of those now being reported as ‘cases’ are just asymptomatic ‘infections’ with a good deal of false positives mixed in. If you go to the doctor (that’s if you actually could go to the doctor) and said you had an infection but no symptoms, the doctor would not record you as a ‘case’. Well, he might think you were a nut-case.

Added to that, Birmingham is the latest city to fall victim to the ‘local lockdown’ sweepstake. An area with a combined population of more than 1.6 million people is affected. From tomorrow, Tuesday, separate households will not be able to mix in homes or private gardens. The restrictions will not affect schools, workplaces or public transport. No expiry time has been set. Once more, this is because of a ‘spike in cases’. Furthermore, all the new ‘Rule of 6′ regulations will apply.
And why? A rise in ‘cases’ or rather, infections, which as the chart shows, have shifted and are now seen in a much younger demographic than in March and April.
Seek and you will find
The Telegraph reports: ‘The World Health Organization (WHO) expects Europe to see a rise in the daily number of Covid-19 deaths in October and November, the head of the body’s European branch has said.
‘More than 51,000 new cases were reported on Friday alone in the 55 countries monitored by WHO Europe, which is more than the highest peak in April, according to the organisation.’
Well, of course it is! In April, only those going in to hospital with symptoms were being tested. Now, countries are testing hundreds of thousands of Toms, Dicks and Harrys. If you go looking for it, you will find it. The words of our Lord do not just refer to the Kingdom of heaven:
Matt 7:7 Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:
Swedes and Phillipines not bothered
Clearly the phlegmatic Swedes do not regard anything happening in the UK as a cause for concern. The Telegraph also reports:
‘Sweden has taken Britain off its red list of countries it advises citizens not to travel to, despite an uptick in new coronavirus cases and restrictions on public gatherings.’
And of course the UK has taken Sweden off its quarantine list. The list of countries is arbitrary and ridiculous anyway. People’s holidays have been curtailed, the travel sector ruined, because host countries were doing too much testing and finding consequent ‘positives’. However, Sweden’s refusal to do lockdown has brought the benefit of almost full immunity in the population. There’s little call for a vaccine in Sweden.
Meanwhile, in the Philippines, social distancing is cut to 30 centimetres on public transport. That’s under a foot. Moreover, it comes despite 259 new confirmed deaths, a record for the second time in three days. Total fatalities have increased to 4,630, while infections have doubled in the past 35 days to 265,888, Southeast Asia’s highest number. Anthony Leachon, ex-president of the Philippine College of Physicians, thinks it’s ‘risky, reckless and counter-intuitive and will delay the flattening of the curve.’ In reality the virus just runs its course everywhere, no matter what governments do.
The False Prophet Speaks
False Prophet Professor Neil Ferguson
One would think Professor Neil Ferguson would be lying low, possibly with his married mistress, not because of his previous failed predictions on foot and mouth and swine flu, but because he ‘broke the lockdown’ knowing full well he was immune after catching the Covid. We reported that here.
However, BBC’s Today programme regard the false prophet of doom as an oracle.
‘And then if that is not sufficient to bring the reproduction number below one so the epidemic starts shrinking again, then yes, we may need to clamp down in other areas.’
Clamp down? For how long will the British people put up with this despotism?
False sense of insecurity
The media can of course find plenty of other epidemiologists and public health people keen to spread a false sense of insecurity. The Telegraph reports here on highly-specific doom-laden predictions from one Dr John Ashton. He used to be president of the UK Faculty of Public Health.
Dr Ashton told Sky News: ‘We’re seeing day on day now about 3,000 reported new cases. We feel as though it’s back in March,’ he said.
The former north west regional director of Public Health was not finished. He went on: ‘In a week’s time you’ll get people getting sicker, in two to three weeks’ time we’ll see an increase in people being admitted to hospital. And then almost certainly the deaths will pick up after that. This is a desperate situation.’
Is it ‘desperate’? We must remember to come back in two to three weeks time to check there was hardly any increase in hospital admissions. ‘Back in March’ one, then two, then three hundred people per day were dying from – or ‘with’ – Covid-19. Today, it’s single figures. Pace Dr Ashton, ‘almost certainly’ deaths will not ‘pick up’ to anything like those levels.
Look across the Channel
Professor Sir Mark Walport – spooked by looking across the Channel.
Professor Peter Openshaw (of Imperial College) intones that the public must ‘act fast’ and fall into line with ‘Rule of Six’ or face a second lockdown. If you invented a character like that in a book, no-one would believe it.
Here is another one. The excellent Lockdown Sceptics website quotes Professor Sir Mark Walport who is on the SAGE committee. He warns the UK is ‘on the edge of losing control’ of the rise in infections. So what? Well, apparently losing control of is scary.
‘You’ve only got to look across the Channel to see what is happening in France and what’s happening in Spain,’ says Professor Walport. ‘The only way to stop the spread of this infection is to reduce the number of people we all come into contact with.’ Excuse me, what is the point of living?
What’s happening in France and Spain?
So what’s happening in France and Spain? Just like us, there is a huge rise in positive tests, and little else. ‘Hospitals in some areas such as Madrid have seen a gentle rise in COVID-19 admissions, but nothing they can’t handle or to indicate runaway growth like in March,’ says Will Jones of Lockdown Sceptics.
You would expect Christian Voice to look at the figures, and that’s what we’ve done.
The France Coronatracker shows Covid-19 deaths there running just under a fairly constant 30 per day. To put that in perspective, in 2018, deaths in France from cancer averaged out at 431 per day. Deaths from all causes were 1,647 per day.
The Spain Coronatracker shows Covid-19 deaths there running just under a fairly constant 50 per day. That’s more than in France. But again, in comes the perspective. In 2018, deaths in Spain from cardio-vascular disease averaged out at 395 per day. All deaths was 1,172 per day.
Prof Walport can read. No doubt he even manages to navigate the Internet. So why would he, and all these experts, who advise the Government, pretend that ‘what’s happening’ in France or Spain is cause for anything other than a shrug and a reason to lift all lockdown, scrap ‘social distancing’ and get back to normal? Why?
Has the Lord sent them all a lying spirit like the one Prophet Micaiah accused Ahab’s prophets of having?
1Kings 22:23 Now therefore, behold, the LORD hath put a lying spirit in the mouth of all these thy prophets, and the LORD hath spoken evil concerning thee.
Well, if you can think of a more plausible reason …
Lockdown causes Covid deaths
The UK has recorded 41,628 deaths from, or ‘with’ Covid-19 to date. (Just a few weeks ago the figure was over 46,000. It had to be revised downward after the redoubtable Dr Carl Heneghan found it was recording as a Covid death anyone who had an infection and recovered.) Our population is 66.65 million. So 0.06245% of us have died. It’s 625 deaths per million. That’s in the ball-park. 0.9% or thereabouts – 900 per million – is now reckoned the upper limit of deaths.
Peru, says Mr Jones, ‘is currently the worst hit with 925 deaths per million (even though it has the world’s most severe lockdown), while most others are well below that.’
Health Secretary Rt Hon Matt Hancock has decisions to make. We must pray for wisdom to avert even more economic disaster.
We know lockdown has caused tens of thousands of collateral deaths. In the UK cancelled operations and scans have resulted in a death toll beginning to be measured in tens of thousands. The ‘fantastic’ NHS, which we were supposed to ‘protect’ and applaud every Thursday, has, under hapless Health Secretary Matt Hancock MP, let the nation down in a spectacular fashion.
Moreover, lockdown has brought and will bring yet more starvation upon millions in Africa, where governments stupidly thought the West knew best.
But perhaps lockdown itself exacerbated deaths from the very thing it was supposed to prevent. If so, not only has lockdown across the world destroyed people’s lives, livelihoods, reasonable expectations and legitimate ambitions, but it has failed its own test.
It’s over, Matt Hancock
Even now, according to the Standard, Tory Policing Minister Kit Malthouse has suggested people should snitch on neighbours who break the new rules by ringing the non-emergency police number 111. Come on, man, it’s serious. Why not 999?
Meanwhile, Matt Hancock has completely lost the plot of his brief. It’s to safeguard the nation’s health, not to eliminate infections among the young of a now fairly innocuous virus in Solihull. Can he bring himself to admit ‘It’s over’?
In Sweden, a spectacular rise in infections has made no impact on Covid-19 deaths. Deaths in black, infections in red. Year 2020 to date
Sweden trusted their people. They relied exclusively on voluntary measures. There was no ‘lockdown’. And the chart from Sweden shows how ‘cases’ (probably just ‘infections’) shot up in June and July and made no subsequent impact on deaths whatsoever.
Trapped in a lie
Writing in the Mail on Sunday in his usual highly-readable acerbic style, Peter Hitchens suggests Boris Johnson has been trapped in a lie. There was never a need for a lockdown, but he was spooked by Neil Ferguson’s talk of half-a-million deaths. Having bought the lie, he had to terrify the population to make a majority accept it But now he cannot get out of it, because that would involve an admission he was wrong. In turn that would rely on wisdom, honesty and humility. Mr Hitchens is not convinced Mr Johnson is overly blessed with any of them.
But let us pray nevertheless that the Lord would send our Prime Minister that wisdom which comes from the fear of the Lord. Pray he will simply lift all restrictions and start the job of rebuilding this United Kingdom.
The nation of Judah under Rehoboam was devastated by raids from Egypt. They ended up, as we should say today, bankrupt. But the king and his cabinet humbled themselves, and sought the Lord. The Lord heard and ended the oppression. Then bit by bit the prosperity returned:
2Chron 12:12 And when he humbled himself, the wrath of the LORD turned from him, that he would not destroy him altogether: and also in Judah things went well.

It is instructive when the Christian Voice Lamplight Bible Reading Plan takes us through the Bible’s books of First and Second Kings and Second Chronicles.
There are massive lessons in these ancient history books for us today. If the politics of king David’s court in the books of Samuel and First Chronicles were not thrilling enough, we moved on to Solomon and his successors.
SOLOMON
It was tragic to see that Solomon started so well and then fell far away. The author of Chronicles in particular, believed to be Ezra the scribe, is at pains to show us that obedience to the laws of God results in spiritual blessings which are manifested in economic success. Solomon began by following the ways of the Lord, and brought great prosperity on his people as a result. But his many wives led him astray, we read, to the extent that he even enacted human sacrifice :
1Ki 11:6 And Solomon did evil in the sight of the LORD, and went not fully after the LORD, as did David his father. 7 Then did Solomon build an high place for Chemosh, the abomination of Moab, in the hill that is before Jerusalem, and for Molech, the abomination of the children of Ammon.
It appeared the people were prepared to put up with the high taxation Solomon needed for his various projects, not least building the temple, so long as they felt they were part of something big and blessed. But when Solomon went away from the Lord, wars broke out with Edom and Syria and the economy must have come under strain. These latter days seem to be when the grumbling started. The Bible states:
Prov 29:2 When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice: but when the wicked beareth rule, the people mourn.
‘BE A SERVANT KING’
The people seem to have cut the son of David some slack in his years of physical and spiritual decline, but when Solomon died, they decided they had had enough. They called upon Solomon’s successor Rehoboam for a reduction in the tax burden. Rehoboam first consulted the old men who had served his father:
1Ki 12:7 And they spake unto him, saying, If thou wilt be a servant unto this people this day, and wilt serve them, and answer them, and speak good words to them, then they will be thy servants for ever.
It is such good advice, even bringing forth, possibly for the first time, the notion of the servant king. In serving the people, he will find they will willingly serve him in turn. This idea would find its fulfillment in the Lord Jesus, but he himself intended to set an example for all time:
Mark 10:42 But Jesus called them to him, and saith unto them, Ye know that they which are accounted to rule over the Gentiles exercise lordship over them; and their great ones exercise authority upon them. 43 But so shall it not be among you: but whosoever will be great among you, shall be your minister. 44 And whosoever of you will be the chiefest shall be servant of all.
FOLLOWED THE WRONG ADVICE
In any event, Rehoboam did not follow the wisdom and godliness of his father’s advisors:
1Ki 12:8 But he forsook the counsel of the old men, which they had given him, and consulted with the young men that were grown up with him, and which stood before him:
He took advice from his peer group, from the younger men. They advised him to take firm action and lay down the law, start as he would mean to go on, not give an inch but rather tell the people:
1Ki 12:11 And now whereas my father did lade you with a heavy yoke, I will add to your yoke: my father hath chastised you with whips, but I will chastise you with scorpions.
When the people cam back after three days to hear the decision, they had a shock:
2Chron 10:13 And the king answered them roughly; and king Rehoboam forsook the counsel of the old men, 14 And answered them after the advice of the young men,…
The prophet Ahijah had already told Solomon’s right-hand man, Jeroboam, that he would lead the ten tribes of Israel, those to the north of Judah, so we know at this point that the Lord is firmly in control.
STUPID DECISIONS
Nevertheless, Rehoboam’s decision is ridiculous and stupid. The account goes on:
1Ki 12:15 Wherefore the king hearkened not unto the people; for the cause was from the LORD, that he might perform his saying, which the LORD spake by Ahijah the Shilonite unto Jeroboam the son of Nebat.
There are times when we read the Bible we just want to cry out, ‘Oh, no!’ at some of the stupid decisions people make. Righteous king Jehoshaphat still went to war in alliance with Ahab even though Micaiah the prophet told Ahab they would lose and that the Lord had caused every single one of Ahab’s prophets to prophesy falsely of victory as judgment against the king of Israel:
2Chron 18:22 Now therefore, behold, the LORD hath put a lying spirit in the mouth of these thy prophets, and the LORD hath spoken evil against thee.
Here is the point for our day. Leaders are surrounded by contradictory advice. Some advisors say one thing, others another. The UK has a Scientific Advisory Group for Emergencies, SAGE, consisting mostly of scientists, there to give advice.
BAD DECISIONS FROM THE LORD
But the Bible shows us that sometimes, advice can be plain wrong. It also shows us that rulers can make patently stupid decisions. Above all, sometimes, wrong advice and stupid decisions are directed by the Lord as judgment for sin. And the sins of much of the West, where stupid decisions have been at their height, are many. The government of the UK have made the worst and most stupid policies of lockdown and are now making more and more. Coincidentally, the rebellion of this nation away from the laws of God will be hard to surmount for enacting evil anywhere in the world. Our sins are deep and growing day by day.
There is hope, but it lies in repentance. In Second Chronicles 12 and verse 5 we read of the prophet Shemaiah explaining to Rehoboam that the reason they have lost treasure to Egypt is because they have forsaken the Lord. By the grace of God, we read:
2Chron 12:6 Whereupon the princes of Israel and the king humbled themselves; and they said, The LORD is righteous.
REPENTANCE BRINGS SUCCESS
Then and only then did the Lord grant them ‘some deliverance’ as the King James Bible puts it (v7). Furthermore, even though Judah had lost of lot of money to Egypt, economic success began to come back:
2Chron 12:12 And when he humbled himself, the wrath of the LORD turned from him, that he would not destroy him altogether: and also in Judah things went well.
Some wag has observed at a national level, ‘The wages of sin is debt’. The economic devastation on our nation and its citizens will be felt for generations. We need politicians who will humble themselves, turn from finding ever more ways to encourage national sin, so that the wrath of God will turn from us and things can begin to go well. They can do all they went, but as Solomon himself wrote:
Psalm 127:1b … except the LORD keep the city, the watchman waketh but in vain.
And conversely, when the Lord does keep the city, things go well. There is another uplifting example of God’s mercy from the book of Second Kings. Jehoahaz king of Israel was not even a good man. He had not brought back worship of the Lord. Nevertheless, when the Syrians were attacking, we read:
2Ki 13:4 And Jehoahaz besought the LORD, and the LORD hearkened unto him: for he saw the oppression of Israel, because the king of Syria oppressed them. 5 And the LORD gave Israel a saviour, so that they went out from under the hand of the Syrians: and the children of Israel dwelt in their tents, as beforetime.
FULL OF COMPASSION
This national deliverance came about despite their continued worship of the calves which Jeroboam made. Those verse give us hope for quite a few of those we know, and maybe even for some of us who have been slow to give up aspects of our past life. The Lord still demands repentance and obedience, but above all:
Psalm 86:15 But thou, O Lord, art a God full of compassion, and gracious, longsuffering, and plenteous in mercy and truth.
King Manasseh of Judah might be an even better example. We shall not be reading about him in the Lamplight Bible Reading Plan until the end of September, but he had encouraged child sacrifice, of which abortion is but our modern-day version, and instituted sodomy and temple prostitution. Injustice and bloodshed ruled the day, so much that the Lord gave Manasseh as a captive into the hands of the Assyrians. Far from home, in accordance with the prayer of Solomon in 1Kgs 8:46-49, he repented, prayed and made his supplication:
2Chron 33:12 And when he was in affliction, he besought the LORD his God, and humbled himself greatly before the God of his fathers, 13 And prayed unto him: and he was intreated of him, and heard his supplication, and brought him again to Jerusalem into his kingdom. Then Manasseh knew that the LORD he was God.
HOW TO MAKE WISE DECISIONS!
Our politicians need to know that the Lord is God. With the fear of God before their eyes, he will bring them to make wise decisions, not stupid ones, cause them to turn away from evil and oppression and begin to see things not as they appear, but as they really are:
John 7:24 Judge not according to the appearance, but judge righteous judgment.
PRAY: To the Lord for national repentance and in particular for repentance among our ruling class. Browsing Facebook, I recently came across an impassioned video made by one Kate Worsford, still reeling from the shock of discovering lingerie, bondage wear and strange tattoos on her daughter’s dolls, revealed after being soaked in ice cold water. The outraged Aussie Mum, seething with disgust and with a few Aussie expletives to drive the point home, gave the ‘dolls’ the sort of indignant review any decent parent in their right mind would – perhaps minus an expletive or three, though her anger is wholly understood in the circumstances. Striking a note with concerned parents worldwide, the video generated 8.7 million views in a matter of hours and has drawn invitations for Kate to share her story on Australian TV networks.
The range of ‘L.O.L Surprise’ dolls, acronym for ‘Little Outrageous Little Surprise’, is extensive and the types of markings varied and disturbing. Before even being submerged some display fishnet stockings and red lipstick. When submerged they reveal, to name but a few examples: shackles on wrists, faces turning blue, knee high boots, bandages around private parts reading ‘caution’, an anchor tattoo on leg, luciferian occult symbolism of a Baphomet head and horns over private parts, suspenders, checker (occult) patterns and a boy with a pizza on his back. These dolls are targeted at ages three and above! (Not all dolls reveal markings of this kind but a significant number do.)

WikiLeaks, many of these are out of context and combined betray a well grounded
suspicion of ‘pizza’ as a form of code for the sexual exploitation of children.

professor and writer Susan Sandler to John Podesta reads as follows:

John, The realtor found a handkerchief (I think it has a map that seems
pizza-related. Is it yorus? They can send it if you want. I know you’re busy,
so feel free not to respond if it’s not yours or you don’t want it. Susaner” (WikiLeaks)
Paedophiles are looking to avail themselves the same ‘legitimacy’ and rights following on from those afforded to the LGBT movement. They believe they ought not to be discriminated against either and have armed themselves with an acronym of their own, MAP, or ‘Minor Attracted Persons’ and have twitter feeds named, MAPpride# and MAPpositivity#, MAPlivesmatter# and borrow slogans such as ‘age doesn’t matter’ or ‘age is just a number’. Referring back to the email, the handkerchief had a message about a ‘minor attracted person’ that ‘seems pizza-related’. There is enough coded evidence here to raise alarm bells, of course many mainstream news sources consider these arguments ‘conspiracy’ and ‘fake news’ material so expect that when conducting your own research. But does it not seem totally out of place to show images of pizzas on children’s toys backs, like those on ‘LOL Surprise’ and might this provide an explanation? Whether or not I am accurately putting the pieces together here there is definitely something clandestine and seriously malevolent taking place under our nose, hidden in plain sight.

There is no apparent clear warning as to what parents can expect when purchasing these disturbing and demonic items. They are packaged in a ball with very little to no clear explanation as to the contents. Another concerned parent, Lisa McBride of Glasgow, as reported here complained also that at the time of her purchase she hadn’t realized there were hidden and evil messages on the product, not noticing anything disclosing this on the packaging at the point of sale.
Perversion meets popularity
As welcome and necessary as Kate’s heartfelt opposition is, one wonders how these dolls grew, year on year, in popularity without any notable objection till now? The ‘L.O.L Surprise’ dolls are manufactured by MGA Entertainment Inc. The company, which also produces the slut-like garb of the Bratz range, aimed at young teens, has experienced tremendous worldwide success with the product which is hugely popular. Focusing on the UK, ‘LOL Surprise’ scooped first prize for ‘UK Toy of the Year’ for a third consecutive time this January. Prompting CEO and founder Isaac Larian to sqeal, “What an incredible fete – it’s a threepeat!!”

“I request an official press release in response to the strength of protest expressed by concerned parents on social media platforms like Facebook and Youtube recently. These relate to the MGA ‘L.O.L Surprise’ doll products. Some of the dolls reveal totally inappropriate undergarments, when soaked in ice water. Our readers would like to hear how MGA could possibly defend this blatant and disgusting sexualisation of children.”

Kate Worsford’s expose drew many expressions of love and support, but also, as might be expected she stirred a few snakes, who, rejecting the shame that is rightfully theirs chose to attack her and her family instead. Her website was hacked and turned into a porn site in an attempt to destroy her reputation. More serious are the death threats, duly reported to the authorities. On the back of the threats to her family, bullying and intimidation she decided to delete all her social media presence by 21/8/20 to protect her family. In her final live message, Kate tearfully expressed deep concern for the safety of children worldwide in light of the dangers of exposure on social media platforms and in the disgusting practices of the toy industry. Her brave stand has already yielded positive results, with Australian chain of discount department stores ‘Big W’ pulling the dolls from their shelves within hours of this post – as reported here.
There is a war on our children’s innocence and the predators tentacles are more and more blatantly stretching out into all forms of commerce and media aimed at the children’s market. In one of her last posts Kate asked for prayer. Please do pray for Kate and her family and raise your own heartfelt objection in the strongest terms to MGA Entertainment Inc, and to distributors of toys throughout the UK. I sent a similar message of objection to ToysRUs, but, of course, there are numerous others to target also. Hopefully, we too will see success, God willing, as consciences are stirred and these disgusting ‘toys’ removed from shelves.

The Kenyan senate has published a call for memoranda on the Reproductive Health Bill.

The Senate in the Parliament of Kenya is calling for written memoranda by email on the Reproductive Healthcare Bill currently before it.
This submission comes from Christian Voice, a research and prayer group based in the UK.
We believe It will be of value to the Republic of Kenya to hear from those with experience of how legalised abortion has operated in the UK and the Western world. Law-makers also need to know how legalised abortion has led to disrespect for human life and restrictions on freedom of assembly.
This is also a spiritual matter and we are able to bring the Biblical witness to bear on the debate.
NOT A ‘WOMEN’S ISSUE’
The first thing to observe is that abortion is not a ‘women’s issue’. Just as some feminists try to browbeat men out of the debate, other men absolve themselves of responsibility. Neither argument holds water. There may be issues, particular cancers perhaps, which affect just men, or just women. However, even there these matters affect those around them. In ‘Psychology Today’, Liz Stillwaggon Swan PhD writes:
‘Abortion is distinct from all of these issues in one special regard: It involves the life of a human being other than the woman. … It’s not just about the woman at all. It’s crucially also about the developing fetus inside the woman. I find it very misguided, and even disingenuous, to refer to abortion as a women’s issue for this very reason.’
As it happens, the Gallop polling organisation in the US found women were more likely to identify as pro-life (51%) than men (46%). Women were less likely to be pro-abortion (43%) than men (46%).
However, that slight gender difference hardly matters because elective abortion is a matter of human rights, crucially of the right to life.
This baby at six weeks already has a beating heart. Abortion involves two human beings, one of whom is dependent on the other.
It is similarly disingenuous to propose that abortion is merely ‘health care’. By including a clause legalising abortion in a ‘Reproductive Healthcare Bill’ this is precisely what Nakuru Senator, Susan Kihika, has done.
Again, Dr Swan writes that the ‘notion that “abortion is health care” is misguided … abortion is not on par with access to toxin-free tampons if for no reason other than the former involves two human beings, and the latter involves only one.’
She goes on: ‘It’s not at all clear why the question of whether or not to end a human life would be considered “a health care issue,” at least not to me. (Bernie) Sanders argues that “a woman has a right to control her own body,” which misses the point – the other body.’
Dr Swan does not quite say it, but the reason why those in favour of it try to present abortion as ‘health care’ is actually quite simple. They do it to shift the parameters of the debate. It is a calculated mis-use of language for political ends.
THE PROPOSED ABORTION CLAUSE
Clause 26 of the Reproductive Healthcare Bill seeks to legalise abortion carried out by a doctor, nurse or midwife acting alone, that is, by just one ‘trained health professional.’ It lays down no gestational age limit, meaning abortion could be carried out up to birth. It lays down no requirement to anaesthetise a baby about to be killed. It would amount to one of the most extreme abortion enactments anywhere in the world. It says:
‘PART V – TERMINATION OF PREGNANCY
‘26. (1) A pregnancy may be terminated by a trained health professional where in the opinion of the trained health professional— ‘(a) there is need for emergency treatment; ‘(b) the pregnancy would endanger the life or health of the mother; or ‘(c) there exists a substantial risk that the foetus would suffer from a severe physical or mental abnormality that is incompatible with life outside the womb.’
The phrase ‘incompatible with life outside the womb’ is not defined.
THE UK ABORTION ACT 1967
The grounds for an abortion in the Kenya Reproductive Healthcare Bill bear an uncanny resemblance to those in the UK’s Abortion Act 1967. The authors even euphonise abortion as ‘termination of a pregnancy’, just as in the 1967 UK Act. Of course the UK Act insists on two doctors (not just one and not nurses or midwives) agreeing to an abortion.
The UK Act also speaks in its text of ‘medical termination of pregnancy’ rather than ‘abortion’. Firstly, it allows it if ‘the pregnancy would involve risk, greater than if the pregnancy were terminated, of injury to the physical or mental health of the pregnant woman or any existing children of her family.’

Secondly, it also allows abortion ‘to prevent grave permanent injury to the physical or mental health of the pregnant woman.’
We agree an abortion could be carried out to save the life a pregnant woman, which is the third ground. This could occur, for instance, in the case of an ectopic pregnancy, or if the mother were to develop a life-threatening condition.
However, the fourth ground is ‘if the child … would suffer from such physical or mental abnormalities as to be seriously handicapped.’ In the UK we insist on ramps and special public toilets for the disabled, but we try to kill them before they are born.
‘MENTAL HEALTH’ OF MOTHER
The proposed Kenya Bill would allow abortion if ‘the pregnancy would endanger the life or health of the mother.’ The UK Act speaks of the ‘physical or mental health’ of ‘the pregnant woman’ or ‘any existing children of her family.’
It is good the Kenya Bill describes ‘the pregnant woman’ as ‘the mother’ because that is what she is. She is already the mother of the child she is nurturing in her womb. The Bill does not however define ‘health’, so that word could be interpreted in the courts, if it ever came before them, in a wide rather than a narrow sense. In the meantime, when such a mother arrives at a Marie Stopes clinic, she will of course find there a trained nurse who will agree that her mental health is in danger from carrying her baby to term.
THE UK EXPERIENCE
Marie Stopes abortion ‘clinic’ in south London – we killed 595 unborn children, legally, every day in 2018 in GB. In America, they murder 3,700 each day.
In the UK, there were 207,384 abortions for women resident in England and Wales in 2019, the highest yearly number since the Abortion Act was introduced. There were also 640,370 live births in England and Wales in 2019. Just over 75% of all pregnancies made it into the world as a live baby. 73% of abortions were medically induced and 27% conducted surgically. In 2009, 40% were medical and 60% surgical.
The UK Government reports that 98% of all abortions in 2019 ‘were reported as being performed because of a risk to the woman’s mental health.’ Either the UK has discovered a strange psychological condition in pregnant women which can only be cured by abortion or these were ‘social’ abortions, carried out for convenience.
In the UK, Christian Concern reveals abortion provider British Pregnancy Advisory Service (BPAS) has recently been caught sending medical abortion pills by post to a woman who rang them up claiming she wanted to end her pregnancy to maintain her ‘beach body’.
WOMEN’S ATHLETICS
On Saturday 15th August 2020 a story appeared on the BBC website reporting that just over 4% of elite British sportswomen have had abortions because they felt a baby would adversely affect their sporting careers.
One said: ‘I was 21. I knew life would be over for me doing what I wanted to do in my sport.’

Three years ago, American former Olympic champion Sanya Richards-Ross revealed she had a termination a day before leaving for the 2008 Beijing Games. She won a gold medal in the 400m relay and bronze in the individual event.
She later said ‘every female athlete she knew’ had had an abortion but the issue was ‘not talked about’. She felt she had ‘helped other women’ by speaking publicly about it.
Would she end the life of an unrelated human being just to win a medal? Then why do that to her own child? Yes, it is true a man would never face the same problem, but that argument gets us nowhere. There is something very sick about women’s athletics in countries which permit abortion if a child can be literally sacrificed for a sporting career.
Shockingly, the BBC’s reporter, Sonia Oxley, did not even acknowledge there was a right-to-life issue involved. The humanity of the baby did not occur to Ms Oxley.
HARDENED HEARTS
So we see that enacting abortion has changed the way people think about human life in the West. The prophet Isaiah said to the Lord:
Isa 26:9b … when thy judgments are in the earth, the inhabitants of the world will learn righteousness.
Conversely, when they are not, the people learn wickedness. The unnamed athlete mentioned above said: ‘It was a very easy decision to make. The day after the operation, I won a race.’ Legalising abortion in the West has hardened our hearts. We find ourselves making an ‘easy decision’ to put our own child to death. What have we become?
Kenya can expect a similar outcome if abortion is legalised at all, let alone in the extreme form proposed by the Reproductive Healthcare Bill. Kenyan babies will be killed in the womb simply for someone’s convenience. That ‘someone’ need not be the child’s mother. It could be the baby’s father, whose illicit affair would be exposed by the birth of a baby, pushing his child’s mother into an abortion she will regret, if she has a shred of humanity, to the end of her life..
FREEDOM OF ASSOCIATION
Furthermore, the UK Abortion Act has resulted in Christians being denied their lawful rights of assembly.
Peaceful pro-lifers witness outside the Marie Stopes abortion facility before being banned by Ealing Council.
Christians have been banned from witnessing outside an abortion facility in Ealing, West London. Ealing Council implemented a 100-metre exclusion zone at the Marie Stopes centre.
The Good Counsel Network had been holding vigils outside the clinic. The council imposed a public spaces protection order (PSPO) in April 2018 after failed attempts to find a compromise between the Christian protesters and pro-abortion groups. The latter had staged counter-demonstrations. Both the entirely peaceful witness and the noisy counter-demonstrations had taken place on a grassy area on the opposite side of the road from the Maria Stopes facility.
Nevertheless, three Court of Appeal judges dismissed a bid to overturn the ban on protests directly outside the facility.
GESTATIONAL TIME-LIMIT
Unborn baby at 16 weeks gestation.
The UK Human Fertilisation and Embryology Bill 1990 lowered the gestation limit for abortions from 28 weeks to 24 weeks. This was at that time the accepted point at which a baby was considered ‘viable’ outside the mother’s body. The Act came into effect on 1 April 1991.
However, even at that time, the record for a premature birth had already been set by James Elgin Gill, born in Ottawa, Ontario, on May 20, 1987, delivered around 128 days early or at 21 weeks gestation. He remains, so far as we are aware, the world’s most premature baby. James was born so early he was expected to die at birth or, if he survived, to have multiple and severe handicaps. James beat all the odds, growing to be a healthy adult.
With no gestational limit specified in the Kenya Reproductive Health Bill babies could be killed well after the time when they could survive, albeit with medical assistance, outside the womb.
DEPENDENCY
However, this issue of ‘dependency’ is not the only way of looking at gestational time-limits. Of course a baby depends on the mother who is carrying and nurturing him.
Moreover, if we apply the utilitarian principle that those dependent on others have no right to life, where would society end up? It would lead to a mentality of the survival of the strongest and may the devil take the hindmost.
In truth, in human society, each of us is dependent on others. Furthermore, Christian ethics demand society should establish a principle that the weakest should be looked after by the strongest, even sacrificially. As the Lord Jesus himself said:
John 15:13 Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.
This is the altruism of‘women and children first’. It cannot be that ‘reproductive health’ is the only sphere when this Godly principle is set aside.
HUMAN DEVELOPMENT
Ironically, campaigns for legalised abortion are intensifying just at a time when we know more than ever about human development pre-birth. No reasonable person can deny that every child in the womb of whatever gestational age is a human being. If that is so, then killing any one of them is a crime and a sin which cries to heaven.
We read in scripture that when Cain killed his brother Abel,
Gen 4:9 And the LORD said unto Cain, Where is Abel thy brother? And he said, I know not: Am I my brother’s keeper? 10 And he said, What hast thou done? the voice of thy brother’s blood crieth unto me from the ground.
The number of those murdered in the womb in the UK since 1968 to date total almost 10 million. That is an appalling amount of blood which has cried to heaven.
HOW WE GROW
This author is not a doctor, but an engineer. That means he takes an interest in how things work. We are all now aware that from day one of our life, at that miraculous moment of conception, before our cells even start dividing and specialising, all genetic information is laid down, from gender to blood group. It’s sobering to think that each one of us is unique and that we all started life like that.
This tiny but recognisably human baby was just 10 weeks gestation when he had to be removed to safe the life of his mother.
Human Life International reports that just over three weeks after conception, dear reader, your own heart began to beat. It won’t stop until the day you die. Three weeks later, your skeleton, reflexes and all major organs were present. Two weeks after that and all your organs were working (except for your lungs, obviously) and your brain waves could be detected. All you had to do now was grow, sustained by the food coming from your mother via the placenta which separated you from her.
At ten weeks you could make a fist, feel and respond to touch and jump up and down in your mother’s womb with co-ordinated movements. You were tiny, dependent and vulnerable, but perfectly formed. And in today’s wicked Western world, expendable, allowed by law to be ripped agonisingly from what should be the safest place on God’s earth, and flushed away as human refuse.
FEARFULLY AND WONDERFULLY MADE
Clearly we recognise our common humanity in the baby in the womb. And if we weren’t human when we were there, what were we?
The Psalmist was given an astonishing insight into human development in the womb three thousand years ago (‘lowest parts of the earth’ is Hebrew poetic language):
Psalm 139:13 For thou hast possessed my reins: thou hast covered me in my mother’s womb. 14 I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well. 15 My substance was not hid from thee, when I was made in secret, and curiously wrought in the lowest parts of the earth. 16 Thine eyes did see my substance, yet being unperfect; and in thy book all my members were written, which in continuance were fashioned, when as yet there was none of them.
TERMINOLOGY
We should briefly look at terminology because abortion depends upon euphemisms and using language to obscure rather than to clarify.
Firstly, ‘termination of pregnancy’. When a pregnancy is, to use the expression, ‘terminated,’ a real, live and in most cases sentient human being loses his or her life. If the ‘termination’ was deliberate, what word do we normally use for ending the life of an innocent human being?
Secondly, ‘foetus’ or ‘fetus’ (US). This is the Latin for ‘offspring.’ People only use the Latin word ‘foetus’ when they are embarrassed about killing a child in what should be the safest place on God’s earth. However, at ante-natal clinics in the UK, a pregnant mother who smokes will be advised to stop smoking ‘for baby’, never ‘for foetus’.
Never ‘part of a woman’s body’. A baby of eight weeks gestation, just a month younger than the typical age for abortion
Thirdly, ‘choice’ as in ‘pro-choice’. This usage pretends that exercising a ‘choice’ to kill another human being is morally acceptable. Some ‘choices’ are simply not morally valid. This is one of them. And what ‘choice’ does the baby have?
‘My body’. A baby is never ‘part’ of his mother’s body. He has his own body and his own blood group. His blood never mixes with his mother’s. He is separated from her by the placenta. You may have some rights over your own body. You have no rights over another’s..
‘Uterus’ instead of ‘womb.’ ‘Uterus is Latin for womb. But ‘uterus’ seems to put it at arms length. An abortionist will refer to the ‘contents of your uterus,’ when speaking to a young mother rather than about ‘the baby in your womb’. The latter usage could mean a lost sale.
CULTURAL IMPERIALISM
Western governments and UN bodies and a phalanx of NGOs are doing their best to impose anti-life policies on countries around the world. We shall see below that pro-abortion lobbyists in Kenya are funded from outside the country. Furthermore, even abortions currently performed illegally in Kenya are susbsidised by the West. It is a form of cultural imperialism.
Governments promote the legalisation of abortion by using strings attached to overseas aid. This means trying to bribe poorer countries to force anti-child policies like abortion, sterilisation and chemical contraception on vulnerable populations whose children are their most valuable resource.
Then there are the NGOs who finance pro-abortion and pro-sodomy lobby groups within destination countries in the developing world. If there are not enough local ‘civil society’ groups of their liking they set up new ones.
FUNDING PRO-SODOMY GROUPS
The ‘National Lesbian and Gay Human Rights Commission’ in Kenya is awash with LGBT funding from Western donors.
The Sigrid Rausing Trust, based in the UK, is heavily pro-gay and pro-abortion. They gave the so-called ‘National Gay & Lesbian Human Rights Commission’ in Kenya £180,000 during 2016-2019.
The unrelated but still pro-homosexual Kenya Human Rights Commission received £100,000 from Sigrid Rausing in one year (2019) alone. Sigrid Rausing also fund the ‘Gay & Lesbian Coalition of Kenya’ through an East African pro-sodomy funding body called UHAI-EASHRI which in turn receives all its money from the West.
Not one African pro-sodomy NGO is locally-funded. Every single one receives its money from Western foundations and governments.
FUNDING ABORTION GROUPS
The Kenya Federation of Woman Lawyers (FIDA) is financed by Western pro-abortion NGO’s.
The West has a death-wish. We are not replacing our population. A pensions crisis is in the making. We shed the blood of innocents made in the image of God and wonder why our young people are shooting and knifing each other. Who would export – and who in their right mind would import – such a mentality?
MARIE STOPES
Marie Stopes Kenya (MSK) operate openly all over Kenya by pretending they only offer contraception and post-abortion care.

However, a young British doctor, Linden Stocker, admitted taking part in illegal abortions in Kenya. Dr Stocker wrote this on the website of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists in 2011: ‘Whilst I was in Kenya I managed to organise spending 2 days a week at the Marie Stopes clinic in Kisumu. … They perform safe, completely illegal abortions for a cost equivalent of about £30.’
The cost in Kenya of a Marie Stopes abortion has since risen to around 10,000 Kenya Shillings. MSK is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Marie Stopes International, just ahead of International Planned Parenthood Federation (IPPF) as the world’s biggest abortionist. Moreover, KSh 10,000 is a fraction of the true cost of an MSK abortion. Marie Stopes abortions in Africa are heavily subsidised by the West. The UK Government leads the rest of the world with a grant to MSI in 2018 of £48 million of taxpayers’ money.
MONEY TO BE MADE
Marie Stopes Kenya – Clinic in Malindi. MSK stays open in Kenya by pretending they only offer contraception and post-abortion care. Marie Stopes abortion clinics operate openly all over Kenya.
Among the supporters of abortion who will be filing memoranda with the Kenya Senate are some for whom this is an ideological issue. But there will be others, like Marie Stopes International, like IPPF, for whom there is money to be made out of killing the innocent. The Bible says:
Deut 27:25 Cursed be he that taketh reward to slay an innocent person. And all the people shall say, Amen.
And in another place:

In Old Testament times, the Canaanite pagan deities demanded human sacrifice. People even sacrificed their own children by throwing them into the fiery mouth of the Molech idol. The Lord told Moses:
Lev 18:21 And thou shalt not let any of thy seed pass through the fire to Molech, neither shalt thou profane the name of thy God: I am the LORD.
The Almighty told the people of Israel to have nothing to do with these pagan rites:
Exod 23:24 Thou shalt not bow down to their gods, nor serve them, nor do after their works: but thou shalt utterly overthrow them, and quite break down their images.
However, as time went by, the Israelites turned away from the Lord and took part in these self-same rituals. The Bible records:
Psalm 106:37 Yea, they sacrificed their sons and their daughters unto devils. 3 And shed innocent blood, even the blood of their sons and of their daughters, whom they sacrificed unto the idols of Canaan: and the land was polluted with blood.
NOTHING NEW UNDER THE SUN
It is an important principle that the shedding of innocent blood pollutes the land and brings judgment on a nation which legalises it. The prophet Jeremiah spoke the word of the Lord about the people of Judah:
Jer 32:35 And they built the high places of Baal, which are in the valley of the son of Hinnom, to cause their sons and their daughters to pass through the fire unto Molech; which I commanded them not, neither came it into my mind, that they should do this abomination, to cause Judah to sin.
Innocent blood pollutes the land. Hands and feet of an African-American baby aborted at 9 weeks. The American dollar shown in the photo is an inch and a half across.
Human sacrifice, the shedding of blood of their sons and daughters, caused the entire nation to sin. We may regard the people of those times as primitive. We may think we should never do such a thing. But king Solomon wrote:
Eccl 1:9 The thing that hath been, it is that which shall be; and that which is done is that which shall be done: and there is no new thing under the sun.
They appeased ‘the gods’ with their human sacrifices; they thought things would go well with them if they did it. We sacrifice our babies for convenience, or for our lifestyle. We saw above that 98% of abortions in the UK are done for such reasons. We think things will go well with us if we get rid of the thing, the tiny person, causing us inconvenience or embarrassment. There is truly no new thing under the sun.
OBEDIENCE BRINGS BLESSING
If abortion remains illegal, it brings its blood-guiltiness on the individuals involved. They need to repent and make themselves right with God. Christians believe the way to do that is through believing in the forgiving power of the saving blood of Jesus.
However, if abortion is legalised, the blood-guiltiness descends on the whole nation:
Psalm 9:17 The wicked shall be turned into hell, and all the nations that forget God.
The nations which forget God end up in a hell of their own making. By legalising abortion in 1967, Britain placed herself under the judgment of God. We sowed a wind and now we reap a whirlwind, where respect for life and for elders has vanished. Kenya must learn from the UK’s terrible mistake. The word of the Lord to Israel resounds down the ages. Obedience brings blessing:
Lev 26:3 If ye walk in my statutes, and keep my commandments, and do them; 4 Then I will give you rain in due season, and the land shall yield her increase, and the trees of the field shall yield their fruit. 5 And your threshing shall reach unto the vintage, and the vintage shall reach unto the sowing time: and ye shall eat your bread to the full, and dwell in your land safely. 6 And I will give peace in the land, and ye shall lie down, and none shall make you afraid: and I will rid evil beasts out of the land, neither shall the sword go through your land.
God promises economic success together with peace internally and internationally to the nation which keeps his commandments. But legalised abortion, the taking of the most innocent of lives, brings down his judgment.
NOT A TIME TO INCUR THE WRATH OF GOD
This is an unprecedented time. Covid-19 would have wreaked havoc in any case, as people cut back on travel and spending. Hospitality, travel and tourism would have taken a huge hit. But the various lockdown measures which governments around the world have found themselves enacting are going to bring economic devastation which will be felt for years, even decades.
In the midst of such an economic environment, Kenya will need the wisdom of God and the blessing of the Almighty to survive, let alone to thrive.
This is simply not a time – if there is ever a time – to be spitting in the face of God. It is not a time to be incurring the wrath of the Almighty. It is a time for seeking the Lord, leaning on his ageless wisdom, turning to him in repentance, crying before the Lord, fasting and praying for his mercy and gracious provision:
Joel 2:18 Then will the LORD be jealous for his land, and pity his people.
We must always remember these words of Solomon:
Psalm 127:1 A Song of degrees for Solomon. Except the LORD build the house, they labour in vain that build it: except the LORD keep the city, the watchman waketh but in vain.
We pray that Kenya will resist the temptation to mimic the immoral self-destructive West and maintain its laws prohibiting abortion and (for that matter) sodomy, defend the innocent and vulnerable and trust in the Lord for the living of the challenging days ahead.

The Kenyan senate has published a call for memoranda on the Reproductive Health Bill.
The Senate in the Parliament of Kenya is calling for written memoranda by email on the Reproductive Healthcare Bill currently before it.
The deadline for responding is Monday 17th August. The published notice does not specify that only Kenyans can respond. Accordingly, we can guarantee that international abortionists and their NGO allies will be emailing in droves. There is a lot of money to be made:

It would be of immense value to the Republic of Kenya to hear from those with experience of how legalised abortion has operated in the UK and the Western world. They also need to know how it has opened the door to campaigns for complete decriminalisation of murder in the womb. The email address is at the bottom of this post.
There has been an outcry among Kenyan Christians over this Bill. It seeks to legalise abortion carried out by a doctor, nurse or midwife acting alone, a ‘trained health professional.’
Kenyans were already energised by the Summit in Nairobi held by the United Nations Fund for Population Activities, UNFPA, in November 2019. See our report HERE. That called for Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights, SRHR, worldwide. SRHR is code for abortion on demand and legalised sodomy. It also wanted Comprehensive Sexuality Education, or CSE, to indoctrinate schoolchildren in immorality.
The grounds for an abortion in the the Kenya Reproductive Healthcare Bill bear an uncanny resemblance to those in the UK’s Abortion Act 1967. The authors even euphonise abortion as ‘termination of a pregnancy’,
UK Abortion Act
The UK Act also likes to speak in its text of ‘medical termination of pregnancy’ rather than ‘abortion’. Firstly, it allows it if ‘the pregnancy would involve risk, greater than if the pregnancy were terminated, of injury to the physical or mental health of the pregnant woman or any existing children of her family.’ Secondly, it also allows abortion ‘to prevent grave permanent injury to the physical or mental health of the pregnant woman.’
We agree that an abortion could be carried out to save the life a pregnant woman, for instance, with an ectopic pregnancy, which is the third ground.
However, the fourth ground is ‘if the child … would suffer from such physical or mental abnormalities as to be seriously handicapped.’ In the UK we insist on ramps and special public toilets for the disabled, but try to kill them before they are born.
Kenya grounds
Similarly, in clause 26 of the Kenya Bill:
‘PART V – TERMINATION OF PREGNANCY
‘26. (1) A pregnancy may be terminated by a trained health professional where in the opinion of the trained health professional—
‘(a) there is need for emergency treatment;
‘(b) the pregnancy would endanger the life or health of the mother; or
‘(c) there exists a substantial risk that the foetus would suffer from a severe physical or mental abnormality that is incompatible with life outside the womb.’
Moreover, there is no definition of what constitutes ‘incompatible with life outside the womb.’ It should mean the child will immediately die upon birth, but who knows what lawyers are capable of arguing? And it’s a baby, by the way. People only use the Latin word ‘foetus’ for one reason. It’s when they are embarrassed about killing a child in what should be the safest place on God’s earth:
Psalm 139:13 For thou hast possessed my reins: thou hast covered me in my mother’s womb. 14a I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made:
Post-abortion counselling
It is only when the Bill moves to post-abortion counselling and unsafe abortion that the ‘A’ word is used: Firstly:
‘29 A trained health professional shall provide postabortion care and counselling for cases of incomplete abrtion or complications arising out of the abortion procedure.’
And secondly, under clause 32, adolescents are to be told about the ‘consequences of unsafe abortion’.
The Bill also provides for access to ‘family planning’, ‘assisted reproduction’, sterilisation and – ‘reproductive health of adolescents’. The is not time to go into those right now. Please click on the link to the Bill and make representations on those to the Kenyan Senate if you have expertise.

Professor Chris Whitty, Chief Medical Officer for England wants ‘to close pubs if schools re-open
We are opposed to local lockdowns and taking away the jobs of people in the hospitality industry to allow schools to re-open, as if there is any need for such ‘trade-offs’, as Covid-19 peters out in the UK.
Firstly, The BBC reports the shocking news that ‘since the easing of lockdown restrictions, hundreds of young people have been gathering, drinking alcohol in large groups in Cardiff Bay.’
They were gathering out of doors last weekend because pubs and cafes have only been allowed to re-open indoors since Monday.
But it is good that young people are meeting, building up immunity in the population against the not-now-so-deadly Covid-19.
Rules ‘unclear and conflicting’
Meanwhile, in Manchester, The BBC says people are struggling to understand the new ‘lockdown lite’ rules, let alone observe them.
Their reporter asked: ‘so, after a weekend under the new measures, are people in Greater Manchester respecting or ignoring the new restrictions? And is it clear who you can meet in a beer garden but not in your back garden?’ After weeks of confining people to their homes, now they can meet up outside. But can they form a short-lived ‘bubble’ with another family? Who knows?
Abbie Chadd from Manchester: ‘rules unclear’
The BBC quoted Abbie Chadd, 35, an education consultant in South Manchester. She ‘said the rules are “so unclear and somewhat conflicting:
‘”I was gutted to see the new restrictions put in place but I fully understand the need to prevent the further spread of the virus.
‘”Having visited the same park nearly every day since the start of lockdown, this weekend it was by far the busiest it has been throughout.
‘”People were clearly trying to adhere to the guidelines about being outside of their homes when meeting others, but I am not sure how this situation is better than small groups meeting in private gardens”.’
In fact, Abbie is wrong. There is no ‘need to prevent the further spread of the virus.’
He wrote: ‘It was one of the more curious aspects of last week’s warnings that the government seemed so ready to embrace the concept that infection rates were on the up.
‘This is a government that all along the way has been trying to mount a vigorous defence of its record.
‘The surveillance programme – run by the Office for National Statistics – did suggest they were rising.
‘But there has to be heavy caveats around these findings – they are based on just 24 positive cases among nearly 30,000 people over the course of two weeks. Drawing conclusions from such smaller numbers is fraught with difficulties.
‘The other key source of data – the cases found by testing – shows numbers have started going up. They are now more than 40% higher than they were in the second week of July on a rolling-seven day average.
‘But that masks the fact the number of tests being carried out is increasing and being targeted at areas where infection rates are highest.
‘If you test more, you are likely to find more … so if you look at the percentage of tests that are positive, the rise is marginal once you iron out the daily fluctuations.’
More testing means more cases
Let us understand this. the Government are finding more cases because they are testing more people at random. And many of those who test positive are asympyomatic. They aren’t even ill. There is no increase in hospital admissions.
Professor Carl Heneghan
These points are also made by Professor Carl Heneghan. This man of sense heads the Centre for Evidence-Based Medicine at Oxford University.
He says it is essential to adjust for tests being done and is concerned about what he calls ‘poor interpretation’ of data. Covid cases, he says, simply aren’t rising in any meaningful sense.
Common sense like that has not stopped Nicola Sturgeon closing all pubs in Aberdeen after what she thinks is a ‘significant outbreak’ of, wait for it, 54 cases.
That is fewer than the number of pubs of Aberdeen. People are being told not to travel to the city. Because of 54 cases, most likely among young people, and probably mainly asymptomatic, people may not socialise, travel, or earn a living. It is oppression.
ONS says deaths below average since June
Furthermore, the death rate in the UK is has been below average since mid-June. The NHS is currently distinctly under-whelmed. Nevertheless, The Mail reports on ‘The full health cost of lockdown: Doctors warn of a devastating toll on non-virus patients who still face delays in diagnosis and care’.
‘The number of deaths registered in England and Wales in the week ending 24 July 2020 (Week 30) … was 1.8% below the five-year average (161 deaths fewer). This is the sixth consecutive week that deaths have been below the five-year average.
‘The number of deaths in care homes, hospitals and other communal establishments remained below the five-year average in Week 30, while the number of deaths in private homes continued to be higher than the five-year average (727 more deaths).
‘Of the deaths registered in Week 30, 217 mentioned ‘novel coronavirus (COVID-19)‘, the lowest number of deaths involving COVID-19 in the last 18 weeks and a 26.4% decrease compared with Week 29 (295 deaths), accounting for 2.4% of all deaths in England and Wales.
‘In Wales, the total number of deaths was similar to the five-year average (one death fewer) for Week 30, while the number of deaths involving COVID-19 decreased to seven deaths registered (from 11 deaths in Week 29), the lowest number registered since Week 12 (16th – 22nd March – just before lockdown) when there were two deaths.‘
Limits and ‘trade-offs’
And yet we are still hearing Professor Christ Whitty drone on about ‘the limits of opening up‘. Meanwhile, the BBC’s One Show last night asked people in the street about the sort of ‘trade-offs‘ they would accept to allow schools to re-open. The reporter suggested closing pubs and restaurants.
Nick Gibb MP, Minister of State at the Department for Education
Even today, as the Express reports, Schools Minister Nick Gibb has confirmed all children will return to education in September including in areas under local lockdown. But he is ‘warning pubs and non-essential shops could be closed again as a result.‘
With Coronavirus in retreat, this Government minister still speaks of ‘keeping children in .. class-sized bubbles in primary schools, year-group bubbles in secondary schools – making sure children aren‘t unnecessarily mixing with other children in the school, staggered lunch breaks, staggered play times, doing everything that we can to minimise contact – one-way systems through schools and so on – so that children are safe in school.‘
‘Safe‘ from LGBT propaganda?
‘Bubbles‘ are dystopian. One-way systems are not practical. Nor are staggered lunch breaks and play times. As for ‘children are safe in school‘, it would be good if they were indeed safe from the homosexual and trans propaganda he still believes schools should be ramming down their throats. But if he means safe from Covid-19, Mr Gibb is a trained accountant. He must have enough familiarity with figures to know children are the lowest risk group. No child has died of Covid-19, virtually world-wide.
Moreover, Mr Gibb is clearly not on the same page as the Prime Minister. The Guardian reported just two days ago: ‘No 10 also argues that closing pubs or other parts of the hospitality industry would not necessarily be effective, given the importance of transmission between households in local outbreaks, such as those which prompted emergency restrictions for millions of people in the north of England.‘

School closure give parents an opportunity to inoculate their children from the LGBT propaganda circulating in schools. Lockdown is bringing much hardship, but LGBT activists must be distraught at their lack of opportunity to promote ‘two mommies’ and ‘born in the wrong body’ Opportunities for ‘Mermaids’ and other transgender lobbyists, as well as ‘Drag Queen Story Hour’ have been much reduced, thank God.
The first thing to say is that school closures were unnecessary, despite the BBC running interviews with parents who think it was very sensible. It is puzzling why the Government did not spell out loud and clear to us all that school children in general are the lowest risk group for even catching Covid-19, let alone becoming a serious case?
For example, a 16-year-old girl interviewed by the BBC about the cancellation of examinations let slip she had been self-isolating. ‘Oh really’, said the presenter, ‘Was that for corona virus?’ ‘Yes,’ replied the girl, ‘I had a bit of a cough and a temperature for a couple of days. Not very nice.’ That was it. For the under-tens in particular, there have been minuscule cases and not one death in that age-group worldwide, so far as we can ascertain.
However, explaining the lack of risk from Covid-19 might not have chimed well with Covid-19 Project Fear. In any case, it is probable teachers were more worried about themselves than about their charges. However, data from China shows the few children who have fallen sick appear to have caught the virus from adults, not from other children. Children are not transmitters. There was absolutely no need to close schools.
University College London
The media have reported on a study from University College London published in The Lancet.
The academics say ‘school closures have little impact on spread of coronavirus’. The ‘small benefits’ should be ‘weighed against profound economic and social costs’.
One of the research authors, Professor Russell Viner, said: ‘Data on the benefit of school closures in the coronavirus outbreak is limited, but what we know shows that their impact is likely to be only small.
‘Additionally, the costs of national school closures are high – children’s education is damaged and their mental health may suffer, family finances are affected.’
He said policy makers should ‘weigh up the possible harms and reopen schools at the earliest opportunity’ – and not necessarily wait until September if it can be done safely sooner.
School’s out for how long?
However, Education Secretary Gavin Williamson has there will be no imminent return and head teachers have described pressure for an early return as ‘irresponsible’. School’s out for May at least. Moreover, if you choose to keep your child off for the rest of this academic year, ministers have said there will be no penalties.
If school really is out for summer, the new RSE guidelines will take effect in September this year as children do return. We are losing valuable time to hold meetings and make parents aware. ‘Gay lessons’ are right at the heart of Government plans.
Recruit-proof Your Child
7 Steps to Recruit-proof Your Child is the title of a book by Scott Lively. It was published in 1998 but is still relevant, except there is obviously no reference to the horrors of transgenderism.
The seven steps are Get Serious, Take Authority, Inform Yourself, Strengthen Your Family, Improve Your Parenting Skills, Clean House, and Be Active in Your Community.
Get Serious
Under ‘Get Serious’ Dr Lively reminds us that ‘gays recruit’. But they need a social softening-up exercise first. That is where books like ‘And Tango Makes Three’ or ‘King and king’ or ‘Two Mommies’ come in, in primary school. Mention of homosexuals as ‘minorities’ or equating opposition to homosexuality with racism also works as a pre-grooming tool.
You also need to find out what the school is teaching your child in the are of Relationships and Sex Education and demand to see materials and curriculum details. Never regard teachers as benign on this subject.
Take Authority
In this chapter, Dr Lively reminds you that you have the authority to protect you child from homosexuality. Remember Protocol 1, Article 2: Right to education states:
‘In the exercise of any functions which it assumes in relation to education and to teaching, the State shall respect the right of parents to ensure such education and teaching is in conformity with their own religious and philosophical convictions.’
Don’t be intimidated by political correctness, don’t let gay activists claim any moral high ground, don’t go on the defensive, don’t use the language of the gays, never say you are ‘not homophobic’, don’t defer to ‘experts’ and don’t think activists will ever be reasonable.
Inform Yourself
The title of this chapter speaks for itself. A book like my own ‘Sexual Dead-End’ will inform you about the reality of the homosexual lifestyle. However, you must also get right into the word of God and be solid about how the Almighty has designed us and given us structures of society for our good.
No, homosexuality is not ‘normal’, no geneticist will agree that anyone is ‘born that way’ and for that matter no-one is ‘born in the wrong body’ either.
Strengthen Your Family
The Lord Jesus said: Mark 10:6 But from the beginning of the creation God made them male and female. 7 For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and cleave to his wife; 8 And they twain shall be one flesh: so then they are no more twain, but one flesh.
Even if you are for whatever reason a single parent, you are still part of a God-designed system in which a man and a women join together to become one flesh and by God’‘s grace produce children.
Strengthen your family by worshipping together. That means not just praying together, although this would be a good time to build a daily rhythm of prayer, but talking together, eating together and generally doing things together. Both parents are important in a child’s life, but as children move into puberty, a father’s influence on children becomes stronger. A daughter looks to him to see what a man is supposed to be like. He affirms her femininity. When he does things with his son, story-teller Robert Bly said: ‘something almost like food passes from the father to the son.’
The lockdown will provide us even more opportunities to do things with our children. You need also to shield your children from exposure to gay propaganda and gay characters in the media, especially on TV, and teach chastity and faithfulness.
Improve Your Parenting Skills
Improving parenting skills will start with our attitude and approach to our wife or husband. Children learn by example, so Scott Lively recommends you build an atmosphere of virtue and discipline in your own life. Always build up and encourage each other and your children, never belittle, always look for something to compliment. Recognise we are all different and there has never been anyone like you or your child in the whole history of the world.
You need also to set an example with your gender roles and embrace these as God-given. Make sure your children know acting as a man or as a woman, doing man things and woman things is not a social construct but reflects the complimentary way we have been made for each other.
Clean House
Cleanliness may be next to Godliness, but it is spiritual cleanliness Dr Lively is talking about here. Build that thorn hedge of protection around your house and do not allow anything of Satan any room in your house. Be protective, know your adversary, monitor TV viewing (if any) as well as mobile phone and social media use.
Instead of using the home-schooling material from the BBC, look online for Christian teaching materials. I saw the BBC promoting David Attenborough, so never forget part of recruit-proofing your child is sharing about the wonders of God’s creation. Here at Wernlwyd we are always amazed at how God has designed our animals, plants and the whole of our environment. We long to share that with visitors, but that will have to wait for now.
Be Active in Your Community.
Lastly, Dr Lively urges us to be active in our community. He means being prophetic, and sets out a number of issues on which Christians need to be informed and vocal. This will be second-nature to members of Christian Voice but we can all benefit from Scott Lively’s wisdom and experience of the battles he himself has fought.
The Bible shows that we should never miss an opportunity to point out how much better are the ways of the Lord to those of the world. Whenever your child asks you a question, always ask ‘Why do you ask that? to find out what is at the root of the question. David says ‘How are the mighty fallen’ three times in his lament for Saul and Jonathan, ‘the beauty of Israel’. But the expression has passed into our culture.
And none has been mightier in recent weeks than the false prophet of doom, Imperial College’s vaccine-modeller, Professor Neil Ferguson. It was his report dated 16th March 2020 which persuaded the Prime Minister to move away from his sensible ‘mitigation’ strategy towards ‘suppression’ or ‘lockdown’.
Sharpest recession on record
Thus it is that today the Bank of England has warned of the sharpest recession on record if lockdown measures last into June. To put that into context, it will be worse than the recessions after World War I and WWII when the economy shrank by 10%, aided and abetted by Spanish Flu, and 4%, respectively. It would be the sharpest downturn since the time of ‘Queen Anne’s War’. That lasted from 1702 – 1713 against the French for control of North America.
Britain was also dragged into the War of Spanish Succession in 1706. Three years later, Western Europe’s great frost set in and the river Thames froze over, bringing what trade still remained to a standstill.
The Bank’s analysis, published today, is based on the assumption that social distancing measures are gradually phased out between June and September.
More money could be printed
The Bank’s latest Monetary Policy Report showed the UK economy plunging into its first recession in more than a decade. The economy shrunk by 3% in the first quarter of 2020, as travelling fell by 80% during March and the lockdown on 23rd March did the rest. If lockdown continues, the Bank sees an unprecedented 25% decline in the three months to June.
This would push the UK into a technical recession, defined as two consecutive quarters of economic decline. The Bank said the housing market had come to a standstill, while consumer spending had dropped by 30% in recent weeks.
As the Chancellor borrows even more money to pay half the workforce, which again is unprecedented, two of the Bank’s nine members voted to increase the latest round of quantitative easing by £100bn to £300bn. It did not go through, but in the end, that money will have to come from somewhere. ‘Quantitative easing’, simply printing the stuff, will impoverish us all in inflation.
Neil Ferguson immune
So back to the learned Professor Lockdown, whose adulterous flame visited him on two recent occasions. According to The Sun, ‘the UK government scientist met with married Antonia Staats, 38, twice during the lockdown – despite leading the government advice to put the country into quarantine to stop the spread of coronavirus.’
Miss Staats (she is Mrs Chris Lucas) works for Avaaz, the ultra-woke clicktivist website with its petitions, money-raising and headlines like: ‘Just five days to save all the elephants in Africa,’ and ‘If Trump wins, the sky will fall down.’ Well, not quite, but they fanatically support environmentalism, Greta Thunberg and oppose ‘populism’. Here are their suggestions for petitions right now: Example: “Paid leave for parents during coronavirus pandemic”, Example: “Coronavirus: Shut down all schools in Manchester”, Example: “Commit vital funds to a green recovery”. You get the idea.
Avaaz is also pro-vaccine, so long as they are not produced by ‘Big Pharma’. How else are they produced? One Avaaz petition is ‘demanding an affordable Coronavirus vaccine for all’. Meanwhile, Avaaz has taken down another petition, ‘We say “NO” to Coronavirus Vaccine in Africa’, because it ‘was found to contain false or misleading information’. However, this petition is a stunner and needs your support. It refers both to the lockdown and to a tonic from Madagascar. It urges: ‘Africa Purchase COVID ORGANICS And End Restrictions To Save Millions From Starvation’.
The Telegraph turned up tweets from Dr Ferguson himself, opposing Brexit and supporting the LibDems, so we can see Mrs Lucas and Dr Ferguson have a lot of politics in common. How such an avowed statist as Neil Ferguson came to be advising a Tory Government is a very good question. Professor Ferguson immediately resigned from the Government SAGE committee.
Catch the virus, don’t need the vaccine
The best reaction was from Health Secretary, Matt Hancock MP: ‘It’s extraordinary. I don’t understand.’
Well, I do. It’s called human nature, sin, arrogance, passion, even knowledge, all rolled into one.
Furthermore, the professor’s defence of his conduct reveals something else really important. He said:
‘I acted in the belief that I was immune, having tested positive for coronavirus, and completely isolated myself for almost two weeks after developing symptoms.’
You have it from the horse’s mouth. Despite all the gloomsters saying they don’t know if catching the virus makes you immune, it could go on infecting you for ever, you could pass it on, etc, etc, the vaccine-man at the heart of it all knows they are wrong. The truth seems to be, after you have had Covid-19, you are immune, you cannot catch it again, you cannot transmit it and, crucially, you don’t need a vaccine.
Leaks from the Bunker
Yesterday and today, the Daily Telegraph has been saying #StayHomeSaveLives is history. They claim that the Prime Minister will announce on Sunday that we can go out after all. We all knew already the truth of this word:

And how much wiser would have been the Prime Minister decisions had he the fear of the Lord before his eyes, able to trust God for the truth of that word over the whole United Kingdom. But we are where we are. In need of prayer, hope, repentance and to lift the lockdown.
But today, we are being warned not to expect too much. The madness may continue, we hear. The Scottish and Welsh First Ministers are both opposed to any easing of the ruinous lockdown.
No ‘Second Peak’
The Prime Minister says he dare not risk a ‘Second Peak’. Even the CBI is wittering on about businesses opening ‘safely’.

Well, right here we shall pray and declare there will be no ‘Second Wave’ or ‘Second Peak’.
The epidemic is following the standard curve. It started with the first death on 6th March. It hit the peak on 8th April.
Moreover, the rolling seven-day average has slipped below the daily death-toll from abortion, 595, for four days in a row at this time of writing, looking at the figures for 6th May. In short, it’s over.
And even if there were a ‘Second Peak’, when would they like it? In June, July and August, at the height of summer, or in December, January and February, to coincide with the annual Influenza epidemic? Talking of which, I saw lockdown being touted as a counter-measure to that as well. It’s madness.

Damning evidence about the effects of the lockdown, how the lockdown is not itself evidence-based, how the Imperial College Professor Ferguson paper is not even science, not even speculation, but intended to elicit a particular response from governments, is now emerging.
But first, you need to watch a video. Greece was being held up as an early-lockdown success story last night by the BBC. Just more pro-lockdown propaganda, of course.
Here are the facts about Greece as presented on the amazing video below: On Sunday 22nd March 2020, the Greek governemnt under prime minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis of the center/right wing party announced some of the most draconian social distancing measures in the world, even though only 15 Covid-19 deaths had occurred thus far. People have to carry a special signed form with them to leave their house. Walking alone at the parks, sitting by the beach, swimming, even scuba diving, were all banned.

Greek church told to shut
The initial announcement did not include the church because Mr Mitsotakis did not want to carry the political cost of pressing the church to close down. On that day, the Greek Orthodox church held a council and decided to bring services two hours earlier, so they would end before 8am. They hoped that would appease the government. However, 45 minutes later, Mr Mitsotakis issued a decree banning all church congregations.
So the Greek church, in common with churches everywhere, went along with it, issuing an internal order to all ministers to keep churches closed and perform the Sunday and Eastern Easter services without a congregation. The Traditional Good Friday processions were all banned.
Church ministers obeyed the directive. But this one, priest of a church in Athens, delivered this straight from the heart sermon to an online-only congregation slamming the lockdown and the ban on meeting for worship.

Ventilators ‘killing people’
Meanwhile, in the Daily Mirror and at more length in the Daily Mail, a Californian doctor, Cameron Kyle-Sidell, says that ventilators, rather than helping to heal Covid-19 patients, are killing them. Only one third survive being on a ventilator. Just give them oxygen in one of those CPAP masks like the ones being made by Mercedes Formula 1, he says. Don’t expect the medical establishment to change its treatment patterns any time soon …

Meanwhile, another doctor from US, one Dr Erickson, has filmed this damning video showing the lockdown strategy is not ‘led by the science’ as ministers here like to claim.

Softening us up for more lockdown
Another 684 hospital patients are announced today to have died from or with Covid-19. That takes out UK total to 19,506. It will top 20,000 over the weekend. But these figures, while still above the daily death-toll of unborn children in the UK from abortion, are not rising any more.
I must just add that the UK Covid-19 daily deaths are not the true daily tally, they can include deaths from days, even weeks earlier. Furthermore, that Off-Guardian article above shows the mere mention of Covid-19 anywhere on a death certificate adds the death into the Covid-19 stats. For example: Patient with chronic coronary disease dies from heart failure while being treated for Covid-19 (possibly on one of those deadly ventilators): Covid-19 death.
Project Fear prepares us for more Lockdown against nebulous Second Wave
But just as we thought the end was in sight, we have that Professor Chris Whitty popping up in the last few days warning of a nebulous ‘Second Peak’ and that the lockdown might have to stay for weeks. Even if it doesn’t, it will be ‘social distancing’ and a ‘new normal.’ It is yet more Covid-19 Project Fear. If the people are to continue under house arrest, they must be made to feel afraid. Covid-19 is the enemy. Your neighbour, even your son or daughter, might be harbouring the enemy!
The BBC dutifully ran a piece on the ‘second wave’ on the northern Japanese island of Hokkaido where quite liberal measures were relaxed further a few weeks ago and cases are now rising again. Not that the liberalisation helps Hokkaido much. The people rely on tourism for their income.
As does my part of West Wales, as it happens. Incidentally, if Chris Whitty, Prof Neil Ferguson or that nice Health Minister Nadine Dorries MP thinks we are all going to stay indoors for eighteen months until their vaccine has been tested and they can ‘safely’ let us out, they are in dream-world.
The good news is that more people are getting out, aware that sunlight tops up your Vitamin D, which is great for your immune system. For the same reason secure some 200mg Vitamin C tablets and some Zinc tablets from Wilko this weekend. Lastly, get your trainers on and start running. Half-an-hour’s cardio-vascular exercise a day really builds your immune system and your general fitness.

And I shall leave you with a question. How can NHS workers find the time to make all those videos of whole cohorts of them dancing in corridors. You know, with the crisis of being overwhelmed with patients and all?

Professor Neil Ferguson models vaccines at Imperial College
Yesterday, the UK Government continued its unjust and irrational shutdown of major sectors of the economy and, incidentally, of large areas of the NHS. They intensified Covid-19 Project Fear. Why does the UK persist with a policy which the rest of Europe is now abandoning?
Social distancing ‘indefinitely’
A comment from the false prophet whose biased modelling spooked the Government into starting the lockdown gives us a clue. According to the BBC, Professor Neil Ferguson of Imperial College said we should expect a “significant level” of social distancing “indefinitely”. It would continue until a vaccine for Covid-19 is rolling off the production line. And that could be later this year, or maybe not until 2021.
Dr Ferguson went on: “And I should say, it’s not going to be going back to normal. We will have to maintain some level of social distancing, a significant level of social distancing, probably indefinitely until we have a vaccine available.”
Health Minister Nadine Dorries (@NadineDorries) tweeted last night: ‘Journalists should stop asking about an ‘exit strategy.’ There is only one way we can ‘exit’ full lockdown and that is when we have a vaccine. Until then, we need to find ways we can adapt society and strike a balance between the health of the nation and our economy. #COVID19’
Incidentally, Nadine Dorries is supposed to hold the brief for mental health and suicide prevention. Only this morning says the BBC the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge were warning how stressful the lockdown is on mental health.
Vaccines save lives
Now, before you dismiss this article as yet another anti-vaccine tirade, let me make my position clear. I have evidence that vaccines save lives. Years ago, we used to lose young lambs every year on the farm. Just as they were starting to put on weight from the spring grass, they would keel over and die. It was always the best ones, the biggest.
What was going on? What was killing them? When I shared the problem with a neighbouring sheep farmer, he told me it was most likely pasteurellosis pneumonia or a clostridial disease such as pulpy kidney picked up with the spring grass. And what was the answer? Heptavac, he said. As the name suggests, the solution contains seven vaccines in one dose.
That very day, I started a vaccination programme for the whole flock. Subsequently, we vaccinate all new lambs and give the ewes a booster just before lambing, which they pass on in colostrum to the lamb before the lambs receive their own dose of Heptavac. The result? No more dead lambs. Vaccination works. World-wide, the return is said to be $44 dollars of productivity for every $1 spent on vaccines as people stay alive for longer.
Ferguson is vaccine modeller
But compulsory vaccination is another matter entirely. We also need to remember vaccination, particularly on a large human scale, makes pharmaceutical companies a lot of money. The vaccine market is worth more than $35 billion today, according to AB Bernstein. Four big players account for about 85% of the market — British drugmaker GlaxoSmithKline, French pharmaceutical company Sanofi, and U.S.-based Merck and Pfizer.
So is Professor Ferguson a mere dispassionate observer of human vaccines and vaccination programmes just like you and me?
The VIMC looks at ‘the impact of vaccination programmes worldwide’. It’s data helps ‘inform potential future investments and vaccine scale-up opportunities’.
Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation
Imperial College London – taken from a page on which they advertise their ‘Master of Public Health (MPH) course.
Now who is the world’s biggest vaccine enthusiast? Step forward Bill Gates, late of Microsoft, now putting all his energy into vaccination programmes.
So it comes as no surprise, as this breakdown shows, to find the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation have given Imperial College $184,872,226.99 (yes, nearly $185m) from 2006 to 2018. Only Wellcome Trust has given Imperial College more down the years.
If we narrow the money trail down only to Imperial College’s VIMC, its ‘About us’ page reveals ‘The Consortium is funded by Gavi, the Vaccine Alliance and the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, and the data generated by the Consortium will support the evaluation of the two organisations’ existing vaccination programmes, and inform potential future investments and vaccine scale-up opportunities.’ There are those ‘scale-up opportunities’ again.

Gavi, the Vaccine Alliance
Now we have an appearance of ‘Gavi, the Vaccine Alliance’. GAVI (Global Alliance for Vaccines and Immunisation) apparently started up twenty years ago at the World Economic Forum with a $750m donation from Bill Gates. Bill and Melinda were looking at the time at projects in which to invest. The year 2000 Gavi donation started the Gates’ passion for vaccines. Today, Gavi claims to have vaccinated half the world’s children.
However, although Gavi boasts partners such as Unicef, the World Health Organisation (WHO), the World Bank, vaccine manufacturers (what a surprise) and donor country governments, its biggest contributor is now the UK Government, providing 23.44% of its income as against a mere 19.66% from Bill & Melinda.
This 2015 webpage from Gavi reveals their CEO, Dr Seth Berkley, seeking to ‘raise billions of dollars to ensure Gavi Is fully funded between 2016 and 2020’.
ID2020
Here is where it all becomes somewhat creepy. Gavi, the Vaccine Alliance, is a founding partner of ID2020. This body ‘supports digital identity programs’. It claims ‘The Need for Good Digital ID is Universal’. The ID2020 ‘digital identity’ webpage even tries to enrol human rights as it tries to expand digital ID. ‘The ability to prove who you are is a fundamental and universal human right’, it says. Meanwhile, its manifesto begins by stating ‘identity is a human right and that individuals must have “ownership” over their own identity.’

Other ‘Founding Partners’ of ID2020 include Microsoft and the Rockefeller Foundation. Gavi’s Dr. Seth Berkley sits on the Executive Board of ID2020.
Why? It is because, as the Biometric Update website reveals, immunization can be ‘leveraged’ as ‘an opportunity to establish digital identity’. A pilot programme in Bangladesh ‘was unveiled by ID2020 in partnership with the Bangladesh Government’s Access to Information (a2i) Program, the Directorate General of Health Services, and Gavi.’
Biometric Update go on, helpfully, to explain: ‘Digital identity is a computerized record of who a person is, stored in a registry. It is used, in this case, to keep track of who has received vaccination.’ Gavi want ‘to use biometrics to improve vaccine coverage in developing nations.’
It is not just in developing nations that ID2020 biometrics will be useful to the authorities. In the city of Austin, Texas, we read how homeless people will be ’empowered’ with ‘their own’ identity data. How good is that?
Rapid Vac
In September 2017, the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation together with the Wellcome Trust and the governments of Norway and India launched The Coalition for Epidemic Preparedness Innovations (CEPI) at the World Economic Forum in Davos. Pronounce it as ‘Seppy’.
The CEPI website, ‘New vaccines for a safer world’, says CEPI is ‘a global alliance financing and coordinating the development of vaccines against emerging infectious diseases.’ It has headquarters in Oslo. Its website lists its ‘investers and partners’ who include the UK and the EU. Charlotte Watts, Chief Scientific Adviser to the UK Department for International Development sits on the CEPI board as does Jeremy Farrar of Wellcome Trust and Peter Piot of the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine. LSH&TM also provides CEPI’s Scientific Advisory Committee with Dr John Edmunds and Dr Peter Smith.
Charlotte Watts, Jeremy Farrar and John Edmunds also sit on the UK Government’s Scientific Advisory Group for Emergencies (Sage) as does Neil Ferguson. So don’t expect SAGE to come out strongly for ‘herd immunity’ as a preferred policy.
Professor Robin Shattock develops vaccines at Imperial College
CEPI is, as you will already have guessed, awash with money. In December 2018 it gave $8.4m to Imperial College London as this IC webpage shows to develop a rapid vaccine against new unknown pathogens, ‘Disease X’. It says: ‘Through this partnership, the Coalition for Epidemic Preparedness Innovations (CEPI) and Imperial aims to develop vaccines against new and unknown pathogens within 16 weeks from identification of antigen to product release for clinical trials.’ It is the latter stage which takes the time.
Professor Robin Shattock is the Head of Mucosal Infection and Immunity within the Department of Medicine at Imperial College London. He said ‘Vaccines are needed more than ever—essential to outbreak response, biosecurity, and the ever-present threat of a Disease X scenario.’ Professor Robin Shattock is a colleague of Professor Neil Ferguson. Professor Shattock develops the vaccines. Professor Ferguson models their impact. Both are funded by Gavi and Bill & Melinda Gates.

So why was Dr Neil Ferguson saying social distancing, for which read a version of lockdown, must stay until there is a vaccine? The answer lies in an interview Bill Gates gave on 24th March reported on the Off-Guardian website. In it:
‘Bill Gates outlined that, despite the comparatively small threat of Coronavirus, he and his colleagues “don’t want a lot of recovered people” who have acquired natural immunity. They instead are hoping we become reliant on vaccines and anti-viral medication.’
On the population developing their own immunity, Mr Gates said: ‘We don’t want to have a lot of recovered people […] To be clear, we’re trying – through the shut-down in the United States – to not get to one percent of the population infected.’
It is exactly the same approach as that of Neil Ferguson. Both want to ensure that as few of us as possible develop immunity, so as to maintain the market for the vaccine, when it eventually arrives.
Now we understand why Professor Ferguson had to produce a mathematical model, with the ludicrous half-a-million deaths, designed to scare the politicians away from Boris Johnson’s entirely sensible initial response, built on keeping calm, carrying on, isolating the vulnerable, taking health precautions and allowing ‘herd immunity’ to build up. It was nothing to do with public health. It was all about money. Nor did Professor Ferguson at any stage declare his conflict of interest. And make no mistake, this profile of a member of his Imperial College team confirms his Gavi funding and shows how deeply Neil Ferguson is embedded in the vaccine industry.
This may also account for the slow roll-out of antibody tests. If those show Covid-19 antibodies in half the population it really is game over for the vaccine.
Digital immunity proof
Off-Guardian says: ‘Shockingly, Gates also suggests people be made to have a digital ID showing their vaccination status, and that people without this “digital immunity proof” would not be allowed to travel. Such an approach would mean very big money for vaccine producers.’
So now the link to ID2020 and biometric data comes closer to home. Mr Gates said: ‘Eventually what we’ll have to have is certificates of who’s a recovered person, who’s a vaccinated person […] Because you don’t want people moving around the world where you’ll have some countries that won’t have it under control, sadly. You don’t want to completely block off the ability for people to go there and come back and move around. So eventually there will be this digital immunity proof that will help facilitate the global reopening up.’

Dr Neil Ferguson has been exposed already as a false prophet. Now we know what is driving him. And the Government have bought it hook, line and sinker.
Bear in mind also how the UK Government has shown from its funding programmes how wedded it is in any case to vaccine programmes.

Note we say people should take obvious health precautions, and those at risk can remain in isolation. But the general economy must now return to normal, if it is not already too late.
In particular, ask your MP to ask the Government to confirm Professor Neil Ferguson works for the vaccine industry, ask them why he has never disclosed that conflict of interest and demand getting us all back to work must not depend on some vaccine.
I said to my MP: ‘I am shocked by the comments from Nadine Dorries and Professor Neil Ferguson that your constituents have to wait for a vaccine against Covid-19 before we can all return to work.
‘That is an unreasonable and unjust demand. And may I ask you to ask the Government to what extent Professor Ferguson has disclosed his financial links to the vaccine industry?’
