In a culture increasingly hostile to God-ordained distinctions between male and female, the erosion of women’s protected spaces has become a predictable tragedy.
Newly released police statistics from England and Wales expose the cost of such ideological folly. At least 16 rapes, 80 sexual assaults, and 65 acts of voyeurism took place in mixed-sex changing rooms in 2023.
When women’s private spaces are opened to any man who simply asserts he belongs there, wicked men exploit the opportunity.
This should surprise no sober-minded person. Yet, according to research from the Women’s Rights Network, up to a third of Britain’s leisure centres now maintain changing rooms “open to everyone,” thereby placing women and girls in needless jeopardy.
Scripture teaches clearly that: A brother must not see his sister’s nakedness, likewise a sister must not see her brother’s nakedness. Such exposure is called wickedness and iniquity.
Leviticus 18:9 The nakedness of thy sister, the daughter of thy father, or daughter of thy mother, whether she be born at home, or born abroad, even their nakedness thou shalt not uncover.
Ephesians 5:11 Have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them.

The law allows protection, yet ideology discourages It
British law does not forbid single-sex changing facilities; indeed, when a space is labelled women-only, biological males must legally be excluded. But because institutions seek the praise of a secular culture intoxicated with gender confusion, many avoid creating single-sex provision altogether, opting instead for “gender-neutral” facilities to appear compliant with fashionable dogma.
The consequences are clear: in 2023, an average of three crimes per week were committed against women and girls in these mixed-sex spaces. Disturbingly, in nearly five per cent of cases, the perpetrator was a male staff member—the very people women might reasonably expect to trust.

Isaiah 5:20 Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil.

The human toll: Fear, violation, and withdrawal
The testimonies of victims reveal the deep emotional and spiritual harm produced by this reckless social experiment.
One teenage girl assaulted in a shower room admits that the scent of chlorine now triggers physical panic. Another woman, secretly filmed while undressed, fears that images of her naked body may now circulate online.
In 2024, two men were convicted of covertly filming more than 6,000 individuals, including children, across London and the south, trading those images on the internet. Women who simply wanted to swim or exercise now speak of abandoning these activities altogether, feeling disgraced and unprotected.
This is what happens when society refuses to guard the vulnerable.
John 10:10 The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy.
A crisis of trust and a culture of denial
According to the Women’s Rights Network, reported cases likely represent only a fraction of the real problem. Many victims no longer trust the police—relationships strained by years of poor handling of sexual-abuse cases.
Even when incidents are recorded, police data is often compromised by ideological pressure: officers frequently fail, or refuse, to list trans-identified offenders as biologically male. Thus, crimes committed by men are sometimes misleadingly categorised as “woman-on-woman” assaults.
A culture that prefers a comforting lie to an uncomfortable truth cannot properly protect its citizens.
Isaiah 59:14 Justice standeth afar off: for truth is fallen in the street.
The moral mandate to restore single-Sex spaces

Women who speak up for their dignity increasingly face institutional retaliation. Nurse Sandie Peggie, with 30 years of NHS experience, was suspended after objecting to sharing facilities with a male doctor while dealing with menstruation.
Likewise, Eight Darlington nurses, were disciplined for expressing concerns about a biological male in their changing room—even though one of them was a prior victim of sexual abuse. They were told to “re-educate” themselves. This is not compassion. It is coercion.
It is not bigotry to insist upon the preservation of single-sex spaces, it is the minimum a just society owes women in terms of safety, privacy, and dignity. A culture that asks women to swallow fear in order to placate confused or predatory men has lost its moral bearings.
Christians and all who value truth must champion rightful boundaries, speak plainly about biological reality, and defend the vulnerable without apology.
A society that abandons women to appease ideology is a society already in moral decline.
Psalm 82:4 Deliver the weak and needy: rid them out of the hand of the wicked.
