Scottish Parliament removes MSPs' gender data after trans row

The Scottish Parliament has responded to controversy over how two “trans-identifying” Green MSPs were classified on its website with a bold solution: removing references to sex altogether. Until this week, voters could search for MSPs by party, region, and whether they were male or female. Apparently, even that proved too controversial for modern Scotland.

The dispute emerged after the election of Q Manivannan, who identifies as “non-binary”, and Iris Duane, a biological male who identifies as a “woman”. Holyrood first attempted to solve the problem by adding a “non-binary” category while listing Mr. Duane as female, despite the Supreme Court ruling that sex under the Equality Act refers to biological sex. Rather than clarify matters after the ruling, Parliament authorities simply removed the gender search feature entirely. Problem solved.

The episode perfectly captures the institutional paralysis created by gender ideology. Public bodies are now so terrified of stating biological facts that even identifying elected representatives as male or female has become administratively hazardous. Women’s visibility disappears, language becomes meaningless, and basic reality is treated as offensive — all in the name of inclusion.

“A Legacy System”

A Scottish Parliament spokesman said: “As part of the Inclusive Parliament Review, our systems and processes are currently under review. The online filter function on our website is a legacy system and we have taken steps to remove it.

“The review will also consider what personal information on Members we need to publish and in what format.”

Meanwhile, Susan Smith, co-director of For Women Scotland, which successfully challenged the Scottish Government at the Supreme Court condemned the move. She said: “It’s outrageous that the Scottish Parliament thinks there is something progressive about erasing women’s participation in public life.

“Women count, so must be counted, and if women are to be visible in politics, it’s essential that accurate data is collected.”

The decision has also sparked political backlash at Holyrood. Two female Conservative MSPs have reportedly written to Parliament’s Presiding Officer demanding clarification over why the website changes were introduced and whether the removal of sex-based data will now be reversed.

In a letter to the Presiding Officer, Kenny Gibson, Rachael Hamilton and Meghan Gallacher said: “The removal of female as a distinct category risks undermining the visibility of women’s representation in public life and makes it more difficult to accurately assess progress relating to female participation within Scottish politics.

“At a time when there is ongoing discussion around the importance of sex-based data and representation, we believe the Scottish Parliament should lead by example in ensuring that women are not erased or obscured within official systems and reporting mechanisms.”

How Q Manivannan became an MSP despite having a temporary visa

As Christian Voice previously reported, the election of Q Manivannan answered a question nobody in Scotland had apparently thought to ask before: how exactly does someone on a temporary student visa end up helping shape the laws of the country? In modern Holyrood, it seems temporary residency is no obstacle to permanent political ambition.

Mr. Manivannan’s rise became possible after Scotland loosened election rules in 2020 to allow more foreign nationals legally residing in the country to stand for Parliament. Supporters praised the reforms as “inclusive”. Ordinary voters may be forgiven for assuming elected lawmakers would at least have long-term constitutional ties to the nation they hope to govern. Clearly, that assumption is now terribly outdated.

The MSP has reportedly spoken about remaining in Britain through future graduate and Global Talent visa routes while continuing a political career. It is an extraordinary snapshot of modern politics: immigration status appears flexible, biological reality is negotiable, and raising perfectly reasonable public concerns is treated as the real scandal. Apparently, today’s political establishment finds questions more offensive than absurdity itself.

How an Immigrant Became an MSP on a Temporary Visa

The appointment of an immigrant student-turned-politician who publicly rejects being identified as either a man or a woman would once have sounded like political satire. Yet this is now the reality of modern Scottish politics. What should be a serious national parliament increasingly resembles a bizarre Netflix parody of Western decline, where ideological symbolism appears to matter more than competence, credibility, or public confidence.

Q Manivannan was elected to the Scottish Parliament last week after securing a seat on the Edinburgh and Lothians East regional list for the Scottish Greens. Manivannan, who describes himself as a “queer Tamil immigrant”, identifies as “non-binary”, uses “they/them” pronouns, and is currently living in Scotland on a student visa. But he is clearly a man.he is currently living in Scotland.

Just days after the election, further questions emerged when Manivannan confirmed plans to apply for a graduate visa to remain in the UK for a longer period, alongside a Global Talent visa in order to continue a parliamentary career. The question remains how someone still navigating immigration routes and future visa approval was elevated into one of the country’s highest legislative institutions in the first place.

For many ordinary Scots, the issue is not race or nationality, but what the entire episode reveals about the state of Britain’s political class. A generation ago, candidates were expected to demonstrate competence, professionalism, and credibility before entering public office. Today, activist credentials alone often seem enough to secure a seat in parliament.

Call for Investigations

The Scottish Conservatives are calling on the Home Office to investigate a newly elected Green MSP accused of breaking immigration rules. Recent eligibility changes to become an MSP meant Manivannan could stand in the election. But the Scottish Conservatives have accused the new MSP of breaching the terms of their visa, saying the guidance was “clear that holders of student visas are only permitted to work for a maximum of 20 hours per week, whether voluntary or paid”.

One of the party’s 12 MSPs, Stephen Kerr, has written to Home Secretary Shabana Mahmood, urging her to investigate the alleged breach of rules.

“I’m calling on the Home Office to look into this case, because I can’t see how Q Manivannan can fulfil the duties of an MSP without breaching the strict terms under which a student visa is issued,” he said.

“Being an MSP is a demanding, full-time job that can’t possibly be carried out effectively by working less than 20 hours per week.”

Public Reaction

Former senior SNP figure Ian Blackford publicly questioned whether the Scottish Greens should withdraw the MSP entirely, arguing that uncertainty surrounding visa eligibility risked undermining confidence in parliament itself. Others asked how someone potentially requiring future visa approval could realistically guarantee the ability to serve a full parliamentary term.

Additional controversy emerged over past social media activity and activist positions linked to Manivannan, including criticism over comments involving Auschwitz-related social media content and support for highly controversial political activism.

Much of the public frustration stems from the perception that ordinary people are held to increasingly strict standards in daily life while public officers appear willing to relax scrutiny for candidates who align ideologically with progressive causes.

Failed Vetting

The Holyrood controversy has reignited broader concerns about political vetting failures across Britain. Increasingly, parties appear more focused on diversity optics, factional loyalty, and ideological alignment than on rigorous examination of candidates before elections.

In Sunderland, Labour previously faced criticism over candidate selection disputes and concerns around transparency within internal political processes. Questions were raised about how effectively parties investigate and scrutinise those standing for office before they are approved as candidates.

More recently, serious controversy emerged surrounding newly elected Sunderland Reform councillor David Barker. Reports resurfaced detailing Barker’s 2019 conviction for assault occasioning actual bodily harm against his former girlfriend, with prosecutors describing injuries that left the victim “black and blue.” Further allegations circulated online relating to abuse claims involving a child, leading many critics to question how such issues were not identified or addressed before his election campaign.

Across the UK, councils and political parties have repeatedly faced embarrassment after candidates were later linked to allegations involving sexual misconduct, abusive behaviour, racism, or extremist comments. In Aberdeen, councillor Alan Donnelly was suspended after being convicted of sexual assault and placed on the sex offenders register, yet initially resisted calls to resign from public office.

These repeated controversies point to a much deeper issue: Britain’s political parties increasingly appear more interested in winning elections and filling seats quickly than conducting serious vetting, safeguarding, accountability checks and finding a Godly leader.

How Did This Happen?

The recent election of the student migrant has also exposed how Scotland’s electoral system allows candidates to enter parliament without directly winning the support of a local constituency. Manivannan entered Holyrood through the regional list system, where party leadership and internal structures play a major role in determining who ultimately secures seats.

Recent reforms in Scotland expanded eligibility rules for election candidates, allowing more foreign nationals with valid immigration status to stand for office, even without British citizenship or permanent residency. Supporters framed the changes as “inclusive and democratic”. Critics, however, argue that the reforms weakened scrutiny and opened serious questions about long-term accountability and public trust.

The issue is not whether legal migrants can contribute positively to society, many already do across Britain but whether temporary visa arrangements should intersect with full-time legislative office. Whether someone who is neither a man or woman can understand policies relating to gender.

Which Way, Britain?

Britain is shaped by Christian values such as truth, responsibility, service, humility, and moral accountability. Leadership is expected to carry a sense of duty and sound judgment, not simply activism, symbolism, or personal identity. Modern politics is increasingly moving away from those foundations and replacing them with ideology-driven culture wars that leave many voters feeling disconnected from everyday concerns.

The growing frustration is not only political but cultural. Many believe Britain is now gambling with important leadership positions by prioritising representation, identity, and headline politics over experience, wisdom, and character. Questions are increasingly being asked about whether public office is still rooted in competence, stability, and service to the nation.

For Christians, the issue ultimately points back to the need for moral and spiritual restoration. A country cannot thrive when truth becomes blurred and leadership loses its moral foundation. Scripture repeatedly stresses the importance of righteous leadership because leaders shape the direction, values, and stability of a nation.

Campaign group calls courts’ inaction absurd as single-sex provision remains unenforced

Major firms across the UK are continuing to allow “trans” staff to use women’s toilets based on self-identification, despite the Supreme Court ruling on biological sex.

An investigation by Sex Matters found that companies including NatWest, The Co-operative Bank, Coventry Building Society and Admiral have yet to update policies on single-sex spaces more than a year after the judgment.

The businesses reportedly said they were waiting for further government guidance before making changes, even though the court had already clarified that the terms “man” and “woman” in the Equality Act 2010 refer to biological sex, requiring single-sex facilities to correspond accordingly. However, Sex Matters, a gender-critical charity, found that City institutions had failed to update their policies on single-sex spaces since the ruling a year ago.

The gender-critical charity contacted 15 banks, insurers, consultancies and building societies, but none confirmed that their single-sex facilities were exclusively reserved for biological males or females.

‘Unable to Raise Concerns’

Sex Matters, which also spoke to anonymous employees at some of the companies, said in its report: “Female staff concerned about this have been left feeling angry, unvalued and cynical.

“Finance is a highly regulated sector and on any other topic, a Supreme Court judgment would result in a rush to ensure all policies were brought into line with the law as speedily as possible and to communicate all changes clearly to staff.”

The group said some staff “felt unable to raise concerns for fear of adverse consequences for their careers”.

Meanwhile, Coventry Building Society explicitly allows workers to use single-sex areas based on the gender they “identify as”. Other firms, including HSBC and NatWest, have opaque guidance on the issues. NatWest said it was “awaiting workplace guidance by the EHRC and its approach was consistent with evolving case law.”

“Should workplace guidance be issued, we will review and update our position accordingly,” a spokesman said.

HSBC, Coventry Building Society and the Co-operative Bank declined to comment. Meanwhile, the NHS continues to defy the Supreme Court by allowing transgender patients and staff to access single-sex spaces in English hospitals.

The Secretary of State for Education and the “women’s minister”, Bridget Phillipson, delayed new guidance last month from the EHRC on the creation of women-only spaces, claiming it could impact local elections.

Baroness Falkner of Margravine, the EHRC’s former chairman, said the delay “betrayed” working women’s right to single-sex spaces and accused Ms Phillipson of putting her “personal ambition” before her duty as women and equalities minister.

In February, Ms Phillipson also stated that the anticipated EHRC guidance “doesn’t apply to workplace regulations”, which could mean that companies continue to allow biological men to use female toilets.

An Admiral spokesman said: “While we await the release of the updated EHRC code of practice, our policies and procedures will remain the same and we maintain our approach to colleagues having a respectful workplace.”

Councils Accused of Ignoring the Supreme Court

Several councils and public bodies across the UK have faced criticism for continuing policies that allow people to use single-sex spaces based on “gender identity” rather than biological see. The City of London Corporation said it was still “reviewing” the judgment regarding access to the women-only bathing pond on Hampstead Heath rather than immediately changing policy.

In Scotland, the row has also affected public institutions linked to the Scottish Parliament. Holyrood eventually changed its toilet policy to biological sex after the ruling, but only after growing pressure and legal scrutiny over previous self-identification practices. Perth and Kinross Council came under criticism after a Freedom of Information request revealed the council still allowed employees to use facilities based on self-identified gender following the ruling.

West Lothian Council is currently facing legal action from the parents of a schoolgirl who reportedly avoided using gender-neutral toilets because she felt uncomfortable sharing facilities with boys. Angus Council confirmed that gender-neutral toilets in some schools would remain in place even after the Supreme Court ruling, arguing that their overall facilities still complied with legal requirements.

In Northern Ireland, Fermanagh and Omagh District Council faced controversy after announcing plans to review toilet and changing room policies in line with the ruling, before later apologising amid backlash and protests.

A Daily Mail, investigation cited by multiple outlets claimed that more than half of councils in England were still waiting for guidance nearly a year after the Supreme Court ruling, despite ministers describing the judgment as “crystal clear”.

What Ignoring the Ruling Means for Women’s Spaces

Failing to enforce the Supreme Court ruling risks undermining the purpose of single-sex spaces altogether. Women’s toilets, changing rooms, hospital wards, and refuges were created to provide privacy, dignity, and safeguarding. Those protections become blurred when access is determined by self-identification rather than sex.

The debate has intensified concerns among some women who say they no longer feel fully comfortable or certain using public facilities if biological males are permitted access to female-only spaces. This is not about hostility towards “transgender people”, but about maintaining clear boundaries in places intended to remain single-sex under the law.

The Supreme Court ruling was intended to provide legal clarity after years of confusion surrounding self-identification policies in workplaces, schools, hospitals, and public services. Continued refusal or delay in implementing the judgment risks creating inconsistent safeguarding standards and further public distrust in institutions meant to uphold the law.

A high school athletics meet in California has reignited debate over transgender participation in women’s sport after transgender athlete AB Hernandez won three girls’ jumping events at the CIF Southern Section Division 3 preliminaries held at Yorba Linda High School.

Before the competition began, demonstrators gathered outside the venue for a “Save Girls’ Sports” rally led by former NCAA athlete Sophia Lorey, who raised concerns about fairness and the impact on female athletes competing against biological males. Protesters argued that girls are increasingly being placed at a competitive disadvantage in school and collegiate sports.

Inside the stadium, Mr. Hernandez finished first in the long jump and triple jump and tied for first place in the high jump. In the triple jump, the bloke recorded a distance nearly three feet ahead of the second-place competitor, further intensifying criticism from campaigners who argue biological differences continue to create unfair advantages in female sport despite gender identity policies adopted by sporting bodies and schools.

Several sporting bodies in the UK and internationally have tightened or banned transgender participation in female categories following growing concerns over fairness in women’s sport. Organisations including World Athletics, FINA (now World Aquatics), and the Union Cycliste Internationale introduced restrictions preventing athletes who went through male puberty from competing in elite women’s competitions. In the UK, sports such as rugby, cycling, athletics, and swimming have also adopted policies prioritising biological sex in female categories, arguing that safety, fairness, and competitive integrity must remain central to women’s sport.

Government Sits on “Trans” Guidance

It is exactly one full year since the Supreme Court delivered a unanimous ruling that sex means biological sex.

The judgment was clear. It settled a question that had been left muddied for years. What has followed, however, is not implementation but delay.

The Equality and Human Rights Commission (EHRC), the statutory regulator, has already completed its role. It produced updated guidance, its code of practice setting out how organisations, from hospitals to sports centres, should apply the ruling in real-world settings.

That draft was submitted months ago, revised after Government feedback, consultation responses, and additional legal advice. Yet the guidance has still not been published.

In practice, this means public bodies are left without formal direction on how to comply with a binding Supreme Court judgment. The legal position is settled; the operational framework is not.

Bridget Phillipson Blocks Guidance

Phillipson accused of putting career ahead of women’s rights in trans war

Baroness Kishwer Falkner has accused Bridget Phillipson of blocking the guidance on upholding women’s right to single-sex spaces over personal interest.

Baroness Falkner, who drew up the equality law changes said Ms Phillipson was putting her “personal ambition” before her role as women and equalities minister over fears that pro-trans backbenchers would scupper any chance of promotion if she published the guidance.

She has accused Equalities Minister of holding back the process, suggesting the issue is not one of complexity, but of reluctance.

Meanwhile, Bridget Phillipson has indicated that the delay in publishing guidance on single-sex spaces was influenced by electoral considerations, claiming it may sway voters.

The Education Secretary said she could not release it until after the Scottish and Welsh ballot on May 7 because of “purdah rules”, the pre-election period restricting government announcements.

That gap is already visible. Without published guidance, organisations continue to interpret the law inconsistently, particularly in relation to single-sex spaces.

Shout Out After Victory

It is quite telling when a group of women win a landmark case, yet cannot even get a seat at the table with the minister responsible for acting on it. Bridget Phillipson has come under fire for refusing or perhaps carefully avoiding a meeting with For Women Scotland, the very group that secured the Supreme Court ruling on the definition of a woman.

You would think a government serious about the rule of law would welcome such a meeting. Instead, attempts to engage have reportedly been “blocked,” leaving campaigners questioning who exactly is standing in the way, whether it is the minister herself or an overly convenient Civil Service barrier.

Susan Smith, one of the group’s directors, has rightly called the situation “outrageous.” After all, this is not a fringe request. This is a group that went all the way through the courts and won. Yet despite writing formally and requesting a meeting weeks in advance, they were met with nothing more than a holding reply no date, no discussion, no accountability.

The irony is hard to miss. The Equality Act 2010 was clarified by the Supreme Court nearly a year ago, affirming that the definition of a woman is based on biological sex. Clear, simple, settled. And yet, here we are—still waiting for guidance, still waiting for action, and now, it seems, still waiting for basic dialogue.

To highlight the government’s inaction, Kemi Badenoch has ordered Tory councils to enforce women’s right to single-sex spaces on the first anniversary of the Supreme Court ruling on the definition of a woman.

The Conservative Party leader has told Tory-led councils to draw up plans to ban biological men from women’s toilets and changing rooms, and said that if she were to become prime minister, she would force all local authorities to do so.

Ms. Badenoch accused the Government of selective respect for the law, embracing it when convenient and ignoring it when not.

“Betrayal” of Women

Among those speaking out about the enforcement of the Supreme court ruling, is Sex Matters, joined by Bethany Hutchison, Lisa Lockey and Karen Danson—the Darlington nurses who had to fight through an employment tribunal after being required to share a changing room with a trans colleague.

Government departments, local authorities, NHS organisations, and regulators—all are, according to them, dragging their feet. And the consequence? A vacuum of clarity that is “harmful for everyone,” not least because uncertainty breeds conflict, confusion, and inconsistency. When the law says one thing but practice reflects another, trust in both institutions and leadership begins to erode.

The irony is stark. The EHRC had already done the groundwork, submitting updated guidance months ago. Yet it remains unpublished, gathering dust while institutions continue operating in contradiction to the ruling. In the meantime, hospitals and sports centres press on as if nothing has changed.

And then comes the official response: assurances that the Government “supports” single-sex spaces and is “carefully considering” the guidance. Careful consideration, it seems, has become the refuge of delay.

Trans Ruling Ignored by Hundreds of Quangos

Nearly 400 public bodies across England and Wales remain in breach of the ruling. A Daily Mail investigation revealed widespread non-compliance among NHS trusts, police forces, local authorities, and Whitehall departments.

Some of these bodies retain outdated policies permitting biological males who identify as transgender to access female-only facilities, including changing rooms and toilets.

Women’s rights campaigners have condemned the findings as “inexcusable”, accusing institutions of demonstrating “complete disregard for the law” that has caused “untold harm to women and girls”.

Shadow Equalities Minister Claire Coutinho said: “The Supreme Court ruling was meant to put an end to this madness. Cowardice, obfuscation, and a complete lack of grip. That is all the Labour Party has to offer women’s rights.”

Digital ID’s

This government is now proposing digital ID cards that will not record whether a person is male or female.

Yes, in a world where identity is supposedly everything, the most basic and God-ordained reality of human existence has been quietly erased.

According to Government consultation documents, sex and gender are deemed “not necessary” for identification. Instead, citizens will be reduced to a collection of biometric data points, fingerprints, scans, and codes but stripped of the most fundamental truth.

Apparently, in Starmer’s Britain, even that is now optional.

A System That Cannot Tell Man from Woman

We are told these new IDs will be “trusted” and “inclusive.” Yet what kind of system cannot distinguish between a man and a woman? This is not progress, it is absurdity dressed up as innovation.

If an identification system cannot identify something as basic as biological sex, one is left to wonder what exactly it is verifying. The Government insists such details are unnecessary, as identity will be confirmed through “biometric authentication.”

In other words, you are no longer a man or a woman, just a scan.

The Logical End of Gender Ideology

This is not an oversight. It is the logical conclusion of years spent dodging the simple question: what is a woman?

Having tied themselves in knots trying to appease competing ideological demands, ministers appear to have settled on the easiest solution — abolish the category altogether. As one critic rightly noted, if you cannot define a woman, why bother recording one?

Scripture, however, is not confused.
1 Corinthians 14:33 reminds us: “God is not the author of confusion.

And yet confusion now appears to be official policy. The Government claims these IDs will make services “quicker, easier and more secure.” But security built on the denial of reality is no security at all.

An identity system that ignores biological truth is not inclusive, it is dishonest. This raises serious concerns, not only about practicality, but about the deeper direction of a society willing to erase truth for the sake of ideology. When truth is negotiable, everything else soon follows.

A Farce and a Warning

Even some politicians have admitted the obvious: this makes a mockery of the entire system. They are right. An ID card that cannot state whether someone is male or female is not just flawed — it is fundamentally unserious. But more than that, it is a warning.

A society that refuses to recognise basic truths will not stop at ID cards. The erosion of truth in one area inevitably spreads to others — law, education, family, and faith.

As Isaiah 5:20 warns: Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil… that put darkness for light, and light for darkness.

What we are witnessing is not merely a policy misstep, but a cultural moment. When a government can no longer bring itself to acknowledge that human beings are male and female, it is not simplifying identity — it is abandoning reality. And that is not progress. It is decline.

The scenes in Trafalgar Square last Saturday should give serious observers pause, not just for their spectacle, but for what they reveal about the fragility of the so-called Together Alliance.

It was not a show of strength. It was a slow-motion unravelling—set, rather bizarrely, to a backing track of techno beats and ideological incoherence.

The Together Alliance had promised a mighty stand against “far-Right extremism.” What it delivered instead was a spectacle so muddled, so culturally schizophrenic, that it bordered on parody.

At the centre of it all was the now widely shared image, highlighted with relish by Brendan O’Neill, of Green Party figurehead Zack Polanski enthusiastically “dad-dancing” alongside drag performers and leather-clad exhibitionists. It was the kind of scene that demands a double take. Not because it was shocking, but because it was so revealing.

Because this—this awkward fusion of causes, costumes and contradictions—is the Together Alliance in microcosm.

A movement that stands for nothing… except opposition

Strip away the slogans, and the Alliance quickly loses coherence. It is not united by a shared moral vision, nor by any serious programme for national renewal. It is bound, almost entirely, by what it opposes.

And chief among those shared hatreds is Israel.

This is the glue. Not justice. Not peace. Not truth. But a visceral hostility that has, for a time, papered over vast ideological cracks. Cracks that are now widening. Where was Zack Polanski’s deputy, the observant bearded Muslim, Mothin Ali himself, as his leader danced away in the company of the depraved and perverted? Him and his Islamic war-cry was nowhere to be seen. Where were the Muslim Council of Britain, Muslim Aid UK, the Muslim Community Association, the Imam of East London Mosque or the Iran-backed Islamic Human Rights Commission? They are all listed as supporters of the Together Alliance. (It’s revealing just reading the list.)

Delusion Not Diversity

The fundamental problem is simple: the Alliance asks mutually incompatible worldviews to march in lockstep.

On one side, progressive activists who champion gender ‘fluidity, sexual libertinism’, and the dismantling of every inherited norm. On the other, religious conservatives, particularly within segments of Muslim activism whose beliefs are rooted in moral codes that explicitly reject those very ideas.

This is not diversity. It is delusion.

And moments like Trafalgar Square expose it brutally. One is left asking: what exactly are socially conservative Muslims meant to make of public displays that celebrate everything their faith prohibits? And conversely, what do progressive activists imagine awaits them in societies governed by the very ideologies they so casually align with? What do singer Paloma Faith and Leigh-Anne Pinnock from Little Mix think would happen to them if they pitched up in ‘Palestine’ dressed like that? Or the dirty boys on stage?

Mr. O’Neill distilled this contradiction into a line that has cut through the noise precisely because it is so uncomfortable: “Should any of these activists set foot in places like Hamas-controlled Gaza, their pronouns would very quickly become ‘was’ and ‘were’.”

Crude? Yes. But it lands because it points to a reality too many would rather ignore.

Selective Outrage and Moral Blindness

There is another, deeper hypocrisy at play. The Alliance claims to oppose extremism. Yet its definition of extremism appears… selective. The “far Right” is loudly denounced—often defined so broadly that it includes ordinary, working people who dissent from progressive orthodoxy.

Meanwhile, far more immediate and tangible threats are met with silence, equivocation, or outright denial. This is not principled opposition to extremism. It is ideological convenience.

Numbers and Message that Don’t Add Up

Even the much-trumpeted scale of the march has been called into question. Grand claims of mass mobilisation sit uneasily alongside far more modest estimates and visibly thin crowds. Organisers of the Together Alliance march claimed 500,000 people attended. A police estimate put the figure closer to 50,000.

But the deeper issue is not how many turned up. It is who turned up—and what, if anything, they actually share beyond a vague sense of grievance and a common list of enemies.

Because once the music stops, once the placards are lowered and the ‘celebrities’ have applauded themselves for their supposed great virtue, what remains?

A coalition that cannot agree on basic questions of morality.
A movement that cannot define the society it wants to build.
An alliance held together by resentment, not conviction.

The Beginning of the End

From a Christian standpoint, the spectacle is not political, it is cultural and spiritual.

A society untethered from truth will inevitably descend into contradiction. When alliances are forged without reference to moral coherence when truth is sacrificed for tactical unity, the result is precisely what we witnessed: noise without substance, energy without direction, and unity without foundation. You cannot build anything lasting on that.

The Together Alliance may continue to march. It may continue to issue statements, to chant slogans, to perform unity. But what Trafalgar Square revealed is this: the alliance is not solid. It is strained, brittle, and increasingly absurd.

A coalition built on shared hostility—however intense—cannot survive the weight of its own contradictions.

After Years of Chaos, Common Sense Returns to Women’s Sport

Common sense has finally returned to women’s sport.

For years, the world has been asked to celebrate what should never have been lost. Now, as the International Olympic Committee begins to restore fairness to women’s sport, many are expressing relief, but also deep frustration.

Why should anyone be grateful simply for the return of what was always right?

The idea that men and women are interchangeable in physical competition was never grounded in science, but in ideology. The suggestion that biological reality could be ignored in favour of self-identification led to a dangerous erosion of fairness, one that placed female athletes at a clear disadvantage.

If there is no difference between men and women, then the very existence of separate sporting categories becomes meaningless. Yet everyone knows that such differences are real, observable, and significant.

When Truth Is Replaced by Ideology

For decades, governing bodies abandoned clarity for confusion. Since the removal of sex-based safeguards in the 1990s, women’s sport has endured more than 25 years of uncertainty, compromise, and, ultimately, injustice.

During that time, decisions affecting men’s sport were handled swiftly and decisively. Yet when it came to protecting women, delays stretched into decades. The contrast is striking—and revealing.

Instead of evidence-based policy, rules were increasingly shaped by feelings, identity claims, and social pressure. The result was a system that prioritised inclusion at the expense of truth.

For years, we have seen female athletes having to push through sports with men who now claim to be women. Some have walked away right in the middle of a game. Others not willing to compete against men. Can you blame them?

In August 2024, Italian Angela Carini took only a couple of hits from Algeria’s Imane Khelif before withdrawing from the match and falling to her knees in tears- an extremely unusual occurrence in Olympic boxing.

Mr. Khelif was previously banned from competing in the world championships by the International Boxing association because he failed testosterone and gender eligibility tests.

In April 2025, the UK’s Ultimate Pool Women’s Pro Series Event 2 concluded with a final match that had no women.

The all-male final between Harriet Haynes and Lucy Smith, both “transgender-identified male”s, marked yet another grim milestone in the unravelling of women’s sports under the weight of trans ideology.

The Cost of Silence and Compromise

The consequences of these decisions have not been theoretical—they have been deeply personal and, at times, dangerous.

Allowing male-born athletes to compete in female categories has raised serious concerns about safety, fairness, and integrity. In some cases, governing bodies have been accused of acting with negligence, ignoring clear risks in pursuit of ideological alignment.

For those who spoke out, the cost has often been severe—careers damaged, reputations attacked, and voices silenced for defending what was once considered common sense.

Justice Delayed, Justice Denied

While recent policy shifts signal a return to biological reality at the elite level, concerns remain that fairness is not being applied consistently.

If it is acknowledged that mixed-sex competition is unsafe or unfair at the highest level, then the same principle must apply across all levels of sport—from grassroots to professional.

Anything less risks creating a system where fairness is reserved only for a select few, while others are left exposed.

A Failure of Leadership

The crisis in women’s sport did not emerge overnight, but was the result of years of poor leadership and ideological compromise.

Scientific truth was sidelined, while decision-makers chose to listen to activists rather than evidence. Only when the consequences became visible to the public—through widely broadcast competitions—did meaningful change begin.

The damage, however, has already been done, and in many cases, cannot be undone.

A Labour-run council is facing mounting criticism over plans to fly the “Progress Pride flag” outside the city’s Guildhall, with campaigners warning the move may be unlawful.

Christians and women’s rights groups argue the Plymouth council’s decision breaches the requirement for political neutrality under the Local Government Act 1986, raising serious questions about whether public institutions are overstepping their legal boundaries.

What is presented as a gesture of inclusion is a clear departure from neutrality into ideological endorsement.

This flag is far from neutral. Instead, it is a loaded political symbol, one tied to contested ideologies and ongoing legal debates surrounding gender, identity, and the protection of women’s spaces.

Legal Warnings and Growing Opposition

For Women Scotland warned the decision is “reckless” and legally questionable, particularly in light of recent rulings affirming the biological definition of sex under equality law.

Public bodies should not be used to advance contested ideologies at the expense of legal clarity and public trust.

The Progress Pride flag is an amended version of the 1978 rainbow-coloured Pride flag and includes black, brown, pink, pale blue and white stripes, which represent people of colour in the LGBTQ+ community, the trans community, and those living with HIV/Aids.

Under the plans submitted by the council, the flag will be flown during LGBT+ History Month in February, the International Day Against Homophobia, Transphobia and Biphobia in May and Pride in June.

A Pattern Emerging Across the UK

Similar disputes have emerged across the country, including challenges to councils displaying transgender symbols and markings in public spaces.

A Labour-controlled council faced mounting criticism after announcing plans to fly a ‘trans-inclusive Pride flag’ outside its town hall for 30 days every year until 2030.

Ipswich Borough Council said it intends to raise the ‘Progress Pride flag’ annually, despite objections from women’s rights organisations who argue the gesture violates the Local Government Act 1986, which requires local authorities to avoid political campaigning.

This reflects a broader trend of institutions aligning themselves with ideological movements, rather than maintaining impartiality. Concerns have also been raised that such actions risk marginalising those who hold differing views, particularly women who argue their rights and spaces are being eroded.

Council Defends ‘Inclusivity’

In response, Plymouth City Council defended its plans, insisting the flag is not political but a representation of people and diversity within the city.

Officials stated the move reflects a commitment to inclusion and ensuring all residents feel “valued, respected and represented.” However, we maintain that neutrality is being sacrificed in favour of ideological signalling, raising concerns about the role of public institutions in shaping cultural narratives.

A Call to Discernment

At the heart of the controversy lies a deeper question: should public authorities act as neutral bodies serving all citizens equally, or as platforms for advancing contested social ideologies?

As debates intensify, the need for clarity, conviction, and righteousness in public life has never been greater.

Olympics see sense but “TransWoman” Represents UK Endometriosis Charity

The International Olympic Committee has said only real women may now compete in women’s events, but here in the UK, Outrage has erupted following the appointment of a “transgender woman” to a parliamentary engagement role at an endometriosis charity. Steph Richards, 73, who the media say ‘was born male’, is a bloke. To clarify, he wasn’t ‘born male’ or ‘assigned male at birth’, he IS a man. And he has been tasked with liaising with MPs on behalf of Endometriosis South Coast. Here is its ‘team’. Despite last April’s Supreme Court ruling the sex is biological, whole swathes of the Establishment persist in spitting in the face of God. His word says:

Indeed, the Lord Jesus himself asked the Pharisees:

Trustees ‘have not read’

No, the trustees of Endometriosis South Coast (who include Michaela Saunders-Hall, who works, almost inevitably, at the woke National Trust), ‘have not read’, and are now at war with reality.

The charity is financially supported by public money through Portsmouth City Council and by insurance giant Aviva. And it is a great shame that what could be a good work is undermined by the pro-trans fanaticism of its leadership.

The appointment has reignited fierce debate over representation in issues uniquely affecting women, particularly as endometriosis is a condition rooted entirely in female biology.

How do they think it is remotely possible for a man to represent a cause he has absolutely no idea about? Placing a fellow who thinks growing his hair, dabbing on some lipstick and pitching up in dress makes him a woman in such a role undermines the lived realities of women suffering from the condition.

Endometriosis is a chronic, often painful condition where tissue similar to the lining of the uterus (endometrium) grows outside the uterus—commonly on ovaries, fallopian tubes, and pelvic tissues.

‘Steph’ Richards previously served as chief executive of the organisation, seriously, but stepped down in 2024 following a backlash from women’s rights campaigners, who described the leadership as “insulting.” The return in a parliamentary-facing role has intensified concerns, particularly given Mr Richards’ founding of TransLucent, an organisation campaigning for the “gender-diverse community.” How can a ship of fools who just cannot learn basic biology possibly run a serious health charity?

“An Absolutely Ridiculous Appointment”

Novelist Amanda Craig, who personally suffered from endometriosis, described the appointment as “absolutely ridiculous,” adding that it was “fundamentally discordant and wrong.”

She emphasised the deeply personal nature of the condition, stating that such roles “absolutely need to be represented by someone with lived experience.” Her criticism reflects wider concerns that ideological considerations are being placed above biological reality.

Similarly, Rosie Duffield branded the appointment “inappropriate,” echoing the growing unease among those who argue that women’s issues are increasingly being redefined through the lens of gender ideology.

The controversy comes against a backdrop of frustration among women who have long struggled to have conditions like endometriosis taken seriously. The suggestion that representation can now be detached from biological experience has only deepened that frustration.

Judges Trained by Activist Groups

Alongside these developments, concerns have also emerged over the influence of gender ideology within the judicial system.

Employment judges across the UK have received “trans awareness” training delivered by activist organisations, including Scottish Trans and Gendered Intelligence.

In two sessions, they were told how to refer to trans people during proceedings and what issues they faced in the workplace.

These sessions instructed judges on how to approach cases involving trans-identifying individuals, including guidance on terminology, workplace issues, and what were described as their “responsibilities” regarding “trans identities.” One such session, delivered by Gendered Intelligence, lasted 90 minutes and challenged the idea that biological sex is a fixed category.

Gendered Intelligence, an English charity that claims that biological sex is not a “settled scientific category”, delivered a session in 2018 to employment judges in England and Wales.

Such training risks embedding ideological assumptions into legal processes, potentially compromising the impartiality expected of the judiciary.

In 2019, a representative from Scottish Trans gave a presentation to Scottish employment judges to “raise awareness” of “protected characteristics”. The group is part of the Equality Network – an LGBT charity funded by the SNP that supported former Scottish first minister Nicola Sturgeon’s controversial self-ID reforms.

According to the Telegraph, it is possible that Sandy Kemp, the judge who presided over the Sandie Peggie tribunal, could have attended the Scottish Trans session in 2019, as he had been appointed the previous year. However, a spokesman for the judiciary would not confirm which specific employment judges took part in the sessions.

Fears over the influence of pro-trans groups have been raised after a string of gender-critical claimants saw their claims dismissed by Scottish judges in recent months – including Ms Peggie, who had most of her claims against NHS Fife dismissed last December.

Maya Forstater, the chief executive of sex-based rights charity Sex Matters, said: “Training by Scottish Trans, as well as other engagement with transactivists, raises questions about the influence of gender ideology on the Scottish judiciary.

Scottish Tory MSP Pam Gosal said that the trans groups’ involvement confirms “how deeply embedded the SNP’s dangerous trans ideology is across our public institutions.”

Beyond the courts, Scottish Trans has also advised prosecutors and contributed to prison policies allowing men to be housed in female prisons under certain conditions—policies now facing legal challenge.

Dismissed Cases

In February 2026, an Edinburgh judge dismissed the claims of a prison custody officer who had been dismissed for refusing to refer to male inmates as “she”.

In the same month, an engineer at a defence firm lost her case after challenging a policy that allowed trans-identifying men access to female bathrooms, while, by contrast, a group of NHS nurses in Darlington successfully brought a similar claim in January.

This growing disparity has fuelled concerns that the Scottish judiciary is diverging from its English counterparts, which can be attributed to the influence of activist groups such as Scottish Trans.

The organisation’s reach extends beyond judicial training; it has advised legal authorities across Scotland, including the Crown Office and Procurator Fiscal Service (COPFS), where in 2021 it contributed guidance on the use of preferred names and pronouns in criminal cases.

While officials insist such guidance remains under review, Scottish Trans has also played a role in shaping controversial 2023 prison policies permitting male-born individuals to be housed in female prisons if deemed not an “unacceptable risk”—policies now subject to legal challenge by For Women Scotland.

Former prison governor Rhona Hotchkiss further revealed that the group’s influence was significant during the drafting process, describing them as effectively “friends” of those shaping the guidelines due to their alignment with the policies of Nicola Sturgeon’s government.

Trans Ideology in Public Institutions

The developments in both the charity sector and the judiciary point to a broader trend: the growing influence of gender ideology across public institutions. From healthcare representation to legal training, critics argue that biological truth is increasingly being sidelined in favour of ideological conformity.

The political backdrop is also significant. Policies and advisory roles linked to organisations such as Equality Network have been supported by the government of Nicola Sturgeon, raising concerns about how deeply embedded such views have become.

I read that Sir Keir Starmer has reiterated his apology for appointing Peter, Lord, Mandelson to be our ambassador to the United States and another friend of a paedophile to the Lords, that’s Matthew, now ‘Lord’, Doyle, at a meeting of the women’s Parliamentary Labour Party (PLP).

He told the women MPs that an apology “must come with action”. Resignation, perhaps? No, he is looking forward ‘to working with them to tackle misogyny and Violence Against Women and Girls’.

I see. In sporting events, like the 100 metres, male dominance is going to be difficult to eradicate, even if it is described as a ‘national emergency’ or a ‘constitution of hate’, I tell you, ‘normalized in everyday life, work, and institutions’, as AI puts it.

I mean, there’s an embedded inequality in child-rearing, isn’t there? Only men can sire children and only women can bear them. Good luck with an emergency appeal to our Creator for ‘real cultural change’ on that one, Keir. It’s a creation ordinance.

Violence Against Women and Girls

Apparently, Violence Against Women and Girls, always with leading capitals, and often reduced to VAWG, is the prime establishment example of this ‘structural misogyny’.

And before you ask, no, violence against men and boys is of little to no consequence to our leaders. AI tells me: ‘Roughly one woman is killed by a man every three days in the UK.’ And that is called ‘Femicide’, as if they were killed simply for being women.

It’s the sort of nonsense only well-placed establishment beings could take seriously. But here’s interesting. The statistics show that, in the year ending March 2024, males made up 73% of murder victims (414) and females 27% (156) in England & Wales. In round figures that’s almost three males killed for every one female.

Men are nearly three times more likely to fall victim to violence than women in our land. In times of war the figure shoots up. Around nine million young men died in the First World War for example. Do you hear men moaning about that inequality?

So why is violence against women seen by the godless left as worse than violence against men? Well, they excuse the partiality because they claim there is a power imbalance involved. They are obsessed with identity politics, you see.

The Bible does fairness and justice instead of godless leftist fashion. It says, near the start of the law-book of Deuteronomy:

On the subject of misogyny, if it is a trans-woman, in other words, a big hairy bloke, shouting in the face of a real woman, the left excuse it because a transgender can only ever be oppressed and can never be an oppressor.

So I suggest Sir Keir can start with his own MPs, with the misogyny they refuse to acknowledge, that of allowing men to muscle in on women’s spaces and women’s sports, that of allowing worthless surgeons to cut off young women’s healthy breasts because the girl thinks she’s a boy.

With those like Bridget Phillipson, who still will not sign off on new guidance months after the Supreme Court ruling in April 2025 that sex is biological, and has just approved pro-trans guidance for schools.

Or with his critic Anas Sarwar, who supported the SNP’s ‘Self-ID’ policy. With himself, having told us all in September 2021 that it is ‘not right’ to say only women have a cervix.

Or with Labour MP Stella Creasy, who told the Daily Telegraph, ‘Do I think some women were born with penises? Yes, but they are now women and I respect that.’ She was talking about blokes pretending to be women and about those like herself who indulge the fantasy that you can choose what ‘gender’ you are.

Don’t get me going about the leader of the LibDems, Sir Ed Davey, or the Green Party’s Zack Polanski, or Zara Sultana and Jeremy in the Your Party outfit. None of them will acknowledge Almighty God as the fount of justice.

All part of the human race

Which takes us right back. If we have no choice over what sex we were born, then we are all part of the human race God has ordained, made ‘in the image of God’, made male or female. We are all in it together.

It is pointless and heretical to start squabbling over how much of society’s cake each sex is allocated or dividing us one from another, trying to set women against men, or men against women, invoking ‘misogyny’ when you discover more boys than girls like science subjects and engineering, or not enough women in your eyes are on the boards of companies.

Neither law nor Royal Decree can stop nature as God has ordained it. — King Canute demonstrates that neither law nor royal decree can stop nature as God has ordained it.

Pray for leaders who are humble enough to see things as God sees them and to work with his created order, not pretending they have the power to change it. This year’s theme titled, “Give To Gain”, emphasises the power of reciprocity and support. According to IWD, “When people, organisations, and communities give generously, opportunities and support for women increase.” However, this support is impossible in a society where women are constantly worried if they may be sharing women-only spaces with men disguised as women.

That is why, as God has made us male and female in his image, our divine duty is to glorify our Creator by honouring each other as men and women.

“The idea for a ‘women’s day’ stems from feminism and identity politics, in which women are seen as downtrodden by men by default. That’s another idea we don’t find in the Bible.

“However, in a day when trans ideology is so prevalent in Western elites, it is necessary to proclaim that only women are women and that ‘trans-women’ (ie ‘men’) are not.

“For that reason, until the stupidity abates, we must use ‘international women’s day’ to stand up for real women, and their need for women-only spaces and sports, and to reject the conceits of dodgy men with fetishes who will be intent on highjacking ‘women’s day’. Also to reject the demands of LGBTIQA+ (sic) activists like Professor Paula Gerber. She even claims ‘we need to recognise and celebrate that … international law recognise(s) that trans women are women’. No, it doesn’t, and nor does the Supreme Court of the United Kingdom.

“A man can don a frock and slop on all the lipstick he wants, but that is not being a woman. He will never have XX chromosomes. International Women’s Day provides an opportunity to proclaim biological and scriptural reality loud and clear.”

The Supreme Court Ruling and Institutional Resistance

In 2025 a landmark Supreme Court ruling clarified that under the Equality Act 2010, the words “woman” and “sex” refer to biological sex.

Despite this clear legal direction, many councils, schools and public bodies have continued to extend policies that treat gender as purely self-defined.

Gender-neutral toilets, policies allowing unrestricted use of sex-segregated spaces, and guidance that prioritises identity over anatomy stand in tension with the court’s explicit judgment.

NHS Spending Priorities and Women’s Safety

The case of County Durham and Darlington NHS Foundation Trust,reveals the practical cost of institutional decisions.

Rather than investing constrained public funds into frontline care and staffing to serve patients, the trust spent more than £600,000 of taxpayers’ money defending itself in a tribunal after eight nurses objected to sharing changing facilities with a male colleague.

The court found the nurses’ dignity had been violated — yet the financial and managerial response raises questions about prioritisation and common sense in the NHS.

Common Sense Not Common

In Febuary 2026, a High Court judge dismissed a challenge to guidance issued by the Equality and Human Rights Commission (EHRC) concerning the use of single-sex toilets and changing rooms.

The legal action, brought by the Good Law Project, argued that the EHRC’s interim guidance was flawed. The court disagreed. Mr Justice Swift found no error of law and rejected the claim that the guidance unlawfully compelled “transgender” individuals to use facilities aligned with their biological sex.

The judge also criticised “polarised language” in submissions, urging lawful compliance combined with “common sense and benevolence”.

The court reaffirmed that if a service is genuinely open to both men and women, it is not a single-sex service. The implication is clear: where single-sex facilities exist, they are grounded in biological distinction.

The Christian doctrine of embodiment rejects the idea that sex is fluid or self-defined. The body is not incidental to identity; it is integral to it. God’s design is not arbitrary or mistaken.

The debate remains heated, but Christians must distinguish between compassion for individuals and endorsement of ideology. To love our neighbour does not require affirming what Scripture does not.

It is worth remembering what the exposure of Jeffrey Epstein ultimately revealed: not merely the depravity of one man, but the chilling ease with which wealth, influence and reputation can shield the powerful while vulnerable girls are ignored. From grooming gang scandals to failures of safeguarding closer to home, the pattern is painfully familiar, institutions hesitate, reputations are protected, and women and girls are left to carry the cost.

Across local authorities and educational settings, policies continue to promote gender self-identification and gender-inclusive facilities, often ahead of safeguarding provisions for girls and young women.

Campaigners point to guidance that urges schools to avoid “rigid gender rules” and treat social transition requests with minimal parental involvement. But we argue that such approaches conflict with both legal precedent and the lived reality of biological sex differences, creating confusion for pupils and families.

Amid mounting waiting lists and chronic funding pressures across the NHS, County Durham and Darlington NHS Foundation Trust spent over £600,000 defending a legal case brought by eight nurses who objected to sharing changing facilities with a ‘trans’ colleague.

An employment tribunal found the trust had violated the nurses’ dignity, ruling that its actions amounted to harassment, a stark reminder that resources meant for patient care are being diverted into ideological disputes.

Employment judge Seamus Sweeney also said that allowing the nurses’ ‘transgender’ colleague – Rose Henderson whose real name is Tyler, to share changing facilities had created a “hostile, intimidating, humiliating and degrading environment”.

A report written by Steve Russell, the trust’s chief executive, presented to the board has revealed that the trust spent hundreds of thousands of pounds on defending itself in the case.

The total cost of the tribunal was around £603,000, the report says, which is the equivalent of more than 19 annual salaries for newly qualified nurses on around £31,400.

In other words, funds that could have been channelled to hiring more professionals to help reduce the workload on staff and the system was invested into pursuing woke ideologies.

NHS tells 9m people to get therapy for ‘anxiety’

Around nine million people in Britain with anxiety or related conditions are being urged to seek therapy through the NHS as part of a state drive to tackle rising worklessness.

Mental ill-health is now the leading cause of long-term sickness, with referrals to talking therapies surpassing seven million in three years.

What is presented as compassionate outreach also exposes the scale of a deeper national malaise. When almost a quarter of adults under 45 carry a diagnosable condition, this is no longer a marginal health issue but evidence of a society under profound strain.

The language of “epidemic anxiety” hints not merely at individual fragility but at cultural instability, a nation medicating symptoms while avoiding root causes.

Meanwhile, the number of people referred to NHS talking therapies has increased by 26 per cent since 2018, with more than seven million referrals in the three years to the end of 2025. But NHS officials say that millions more are “missing out on available support”, with an estimated 9.4 million people affected by a common mental health condition.

Therapy as Economic Policy

The campaign is explicitly framed as labour-market intervention. Health Secretary Wes Streeting argues that restoring mental health will “power the labour market,” tying personal wellbeing directly to productivity. Adding that saying “the health of the nation and the health of the economy are inextricably linked”.

Government messaging suggests therapy is not only treatment but an economic lever. Such framing risks reducing human distress to a workforce variable. When healing is measured by return-to-work metrics, the line between care and social management becomes blurred.

Mr Streeting told The Telegraph: “We cannot sit back and ignore the rise in mental health problems in our society. Doing so would leave a generation of people to suffer alone, and leave our economy and society deprived of their talent and potential.”

A society that treats the soul primarily as an economic unit may relieve symptoms while leaving deeper spiritual and communal fractures untouched.

The push for therapy expansion follows political turbulence, including welfare reform reversals under the government of Keir Starmer. Planned benefit restrictions were softened after backlash, underscoring how mental-health policy now sits at the intersection of economics, welfare, and electoral risk.

The result is a landscape where compassion, fiscal pressure, and political survival intermingle. Britain faces not only a clinical challenge but a moral one: whether healing will be pursued merely through services and spending, or through rebuilding the social, familial, and spiritual foundations that sustain resilience.

A gunman who identified as a woman reportedly killed his ex-wife and son and injured three others at a high school hockey match in Rhode Island on Monday.

The Pawtucket police chief, Tina Goncalves, told the press that the gunman used the name Roberta Esposito.

Police said Rhonda Dorgan died at the arena while Aidan succumbed to his injuries in hospital.

Diversity scrapped

Goldman Sachs is removing race, gender and other diversity-related considerations when evaluating prospective candidates for its executive roles.

Leading global investment banking, securities, and asset and wealth management firm, Goldman Sachs is planning to scrap diversity rules for its board of directors amid a wider retreat of so-called diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) initiatives in corporate America.

The Wall Street bank will reportedly remove requirements related to race, gender identity and sexual orientation from the guidelines used to select directors later this year.

David Solomon, the chief executive of Goldman Sachs, once said DEI was a “top priority” but the bank has recently cut back policies related to the issue.

In 2025, it dropped a rule saying it would refuse to take companies public if they did not have diverse enough boards, saying the policy had “served its purpose”.

President Donald Trump has called DEI policies “un-American”. Elon Musk, whose rocket company SpaceX is preparing for possibly the year’s biggest Wall Street flotation, has called them “just another word for racism”.

Social Media, the Weapon Fashioned Against Children

Social media has misled children into thinking they are transgender, Dr. Hilary Cass has suggested.

According to the author of Cass review, some children felt they did not fit the gender stereotypes they saw online and concluded they must be trans.

The British paediatrician’s 2024 inquiry into NHS gender care for under-18s led to significant changes including a ban on puberty blockers.

She spoke to the media on Sunday after Bridget Phillipson, the Education Secretary, published guidance confirming that primary school pupils would be allowed to change their gender at school.

‘Children have been weaponised’

Dr. Hilary asserts that Children have been weaponised by both sides of a toxic debate about ‘transgender’ rights.

In an interview, she said there was a “lack of realism about what transition would really mean and how hard it would be” – pointing to “quite intensive medical treatments” and “sometimes quite brutal surgeries”.

She added: “There are a tiny number of people who will never be comfortable with their biological sex, with the gender associated with their biological sex.

“And for them, a medical pathway is the only way they’re going to live their life comfortably. And we don’t understand why that is, but we have to try and help those people thrive as much as the young people who are going to grow out of this.”

For many years, Christian Voice has consistently raised the alarm about the medicalisation and mutilation of children. ‘Unrealistic images on social media’

Dr. Cass told the BBC’s Sunday with Laura Kuenssberg programme: “I think children and young people were being given a narrative that it’s not OK to be anything but absolutely typical of the other girls on Instagram.

“I think what has misled children is the belief that if you are not a typical girl, if you like playing with trucks, or boys who like dressing up or that you have same-sex attraction, that means that you’re trans.
“And actually it’s not like that… Those are all normal variations.”

She also warned of “unrealistic images and expectations on social media” when it came to the realities of “what transition would really mean and how hard it would be”, including “quite intensive medical treatments” and “sometimes quite brutal surgeries”.

“That’s a real shame that children have been weaponised.”

‘ Why is gender dysphoria increasing?’

Dr. Cass said social media and gender stereotypes had both contributed to the rise of cases.
She welcomed the draft guidance published by the Department for Education late on Thursday but said it was impossible for it to be “completely foolproof”.

She added: “There are a tiny number of people who will never be comfortable with their biological sex, with the gender associated with their biological sex.

The Government’s draft guidance states that schools should consider avoiding “rigid rules based on gender stereotypes” and should take time to understand children’s feelings while being aware of “potential vulnerabilities”, such as children facing bullying or needing mental health support.

If a child or their parent makes a request for them to socially transition – to have their preferred pronouns respected in the classroom, schools should take a “careful approach”, the guidance says, and discuss it with families, taking account of any clinical advice that may have been received.

Schools should seek parents’ views, only under “rare circumstances where involving parents or carers would constitute a greater risk to the child than not involving them”.

“Watchful waiting” rather than harmful drugs seemed to be a better way of dealing with little boys who thought they were female (but often turned out to be gay), as well as distressed teenage girls who did not want to have female bodies (a massively growing cohort).

The power of online narratives over children

Social media platforms curate images of identity that reward conformity to aesthetic and behavioural norms. Children who feel different, whether because of personality, interests, or emotional struggles can be drawn toward the conclusion that their discomfort signals a mismatch between their body and identity.

Research cited during the review highlighted how online communities can reinforce these beliefs through affirmation loops, presenting transition as a solution to ordinary developmental struggles. This dynamic risks reframing normal variations in temperament and interests as evidence of a fixed identity crisis.

The result is a generation navigating adolescence under intense ideological pressure, often without the maturity required to evaluate long-term consequences.

This doctrine affirms both the dignity and the givenness of biological sex. From this perspective, the cultural narrative that identity is self-constructed stands in tension with the biblical understanding that personhood is received, not invented.

Safeguarding Children

If social influences are contributing to confusion, then safeguarding becomes a moral imperative. Children require environments that provide stability, truth, and patient guidance rather than ideological affirmation of every feeling.

Protecting minors does not mean dismissing their distress; it means recognising their vulnerability. Developmental psychology consistently shows that adolescence is a period of identity exploration, making premature medical or social conclusions particularly risky.

The Church, families, and institutions therefore share a duty to prioritise long-term wellbeing over cultural trends.

For Christians, this moment underscores the need to articulate a coherent vision of human dignity rooted in creation, community, and moral responsibility. The task ahead is not merely to critique culture but to offer a hopeful alternative grounded in truth.

Bank of England’s wave of wokeness

For generations, the Bank of England symbolised sobriety, discipline, and seriousness, an institution where professionalism was reflected even in the understated dress code of the Square Mile. Tradition held that junior staff wore navy, senior figures wore grey, and decorum reinforced confidence in the nation’s financial stewardship.

Today, that sense of institutional gravity appears to be giving way to cultural experimentation.

Under new internal guidance, male staff are told they may wear high heels or make-up, while employees are encouraged to adopt “masculine and feminine presentation within the same outfit.” The document, part of a broader “Trans Equality and Transitioning at Work” policy, suggests that clothing and appearance should reflect fluid identity rather than professional convention.

This shift raises serious questions about priorities. At a time when the Bank itself admits its inflation and wage forecasts have repeatedly proved inaccurate, and when Britain faces what economists warn could be the weakest decade of growth in a century, many households are struggling with mortgage costs and the lingering effects of high interest rates. Public confidence in the institution depends on its focus, competence, and credibility.

The deeper concern is not about clothing itself, but about what it symbolises: a cultural shift in which long-standing norms of professionalism are replaced by ideological frameworks that may have little connection to the Bank’s core mission.

Synod Slams the Door on ‘Same-Sex’ Marriage

In a significant development, the Church of England’s General Synod has formally abandoned proposals to introduce stand-alone blessing ceremonies for ‘same-sex couples’ in churches.

Although Synod voted to continue reflecting on the issue in the future, the bishops had already concluded that substantial theological and legal barriers prevent such ceremonies at present. The process exploring these proposals, following a decade of internal debate, is now effectively at an end.

This decision marks a long-awaited moment of clarity.

After years of uncertainty

In 2023, after ten years of intense and often painful debate, the Church of England resolved that it would not redefine marriage to include same-sex unions, unlike other Anglican provinces such as the Scottish Episcopal Church.

Instead, it proposed “blessings” for ‘same-sex couples’, a compromise that satisfied neither theological conservatives nor campaigners seeking full liturgical recognition. A process was launched to explore how such blessings might be conducted, at a reported cost of approximately £1.6 million.

Now, that process has been halted.

For many believers, this is not a retreat, but a restoration, a recognition that Scripture cannot be reshaped by cultural pressure.

Compassion not compromise

The Church’s historic teaching has always been clear: marriage is between one man and one woman.

Genesis 2:24 Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh.

Marriage is not merely a social contract, it is a divine ordinance established at creation. To introduce blessing ceremonies for relationships Scripture does not recognise as marriage would have created doctrinal contradiction, blessing what the Church has historically not affirmed. The Synod’s decision signals that biblical authority remains foundational.

Meanwhile, there was emotional testimony during the debate. Some ‘gay’ who claim to be Christians expressed deep hurt. Others warned that liberal members and ‘LGBT’ worshippers were leaving the Church.

Church leaders apologised for the pain felt “on both sides.” That acknowledgement of pastoral distress is appropriate. Christians are called to love all people with genuine compassion. But compassion must never become compromise.

The Church’s calling is not to mirror the culture, but to bear witness to truth, graciously, patiently, and without hostility.

Common sense and theological integrity

It is encouraging that Bishops recognised there are theological and legal obstacles to proceeding. In effect, they acknowledged that the Church cannot invent new rites without undermining its doctrinal foundations.

The Anglican formularies, the Bible is not ambiguous on the nature of marriage. To move beyond them would not be development, but departure. A Church untethered from Scripture becomes indistinguishable from the age in which it lives.

Britain needs a Church that stands on Scripture, not shifting sand.

May this decision mark not the end of a process, but the beginning of renewed confidence in God’s Word, renewed commitment to biblical marriage, and renewed courage to proclaim truth with both clarity and grace.

SNP spent more than £1m of taxpayer money on defending gender self-ID

The Scottish National Party has spent more than £1.1 million of taxpayers’ money pursuing and defending legal arguments that biologically male transgender individuals should be defined as women in law.

According to the Telegraph, more than £550,000 was spent contesting the landmark 2025 Supreme Court ruling on gender. A further £550,000 was incurred in two additional court battles relating to gender self-identification policy. These sums do not include further legal costs tied to ongoing litigation concerning prison placement policies.

At a time when public services face strain and families struggle with rising costs, the expenditure of over £1 million defending an ideological position raises serious questions about stewardship.
Public funds are not political playthings. They are entrusted resources.

The Supreme Court Ruling — Biology Affirmed

For Women Scotland (FWS), the feminist group that challenged the legislation, secured a decisive victory in April 2025. The Supreme Court ruled that the term “woman” under the Equality Act 2010 refers to biological female.
The refusal to accept biological distinctions places women at risk, particularly in custodial environments.

Meanwhile, Tess White, Scottish Conservatives’ shadow equalities minister, accused the Government of squandering public money on what she termed a “reckless and unlawful” policy.

For Women Scotland has now confirmed that a “full and final settlement” has been reached regarding its costs. The recovered funds will support ongoing legal action to ensure compliance with the law.

The Scottish Government was subsequently required to reimburse FWS £392,500 in legal costs. When combined with its own legal expenses, the total cost to the public purse exceeded £550,000 for that case alone.

Despite this judicial clarity, additional legal battles followed. The Court of Session had already ruled in 2022 that the Scottish Government exceeded its devolved powers when legislating that transgender women should count as women in measures designed to increase female representation on public boards. That ruling cost a further £216,182.50. The repetition of legal defeat did not halt further spending.

The Self-ID Veto and Continued Costs

A separate legal challenge was mounted against the UK Government’s veto of Nicola Sturgeon’s gender self-ID legislation. That proposal would have allowed individuals to change their legal gender through statutory declaration alone.

The petition for judicial review was lost. The legal bill reached £370,474, including £170,000 in UK Government costs.

Even more concerning is ongoing litigation regarding the placement of biologically male transgender prisoners in women’s prisons — a case that could add further cost to the taxpayer. The pattern is clear: defeat, appeal, defeat again — and escalating public expense.

Stewardship, Truth, and the Role of Government

The Scottish Government has stated that it accepts the Supreme Court ruling and is undertaking necessary work to comply.

Yet acceptance after repeated defeat does not erase the financial and societal cost. Government exists to uphold order and justice — not to redefine created reality. When ideology supersedes biological truth, legal coherence unravels.

Canada school shooter was transgender teenager

A school shooter who killed eight people during a rampage in a remote part of Canada has been identified as a transgender teenager.

Jesse Van Rootselaar, who was born male but identified as female, shot and killed his mother and brother at home on Tuesday before killing five students and one teacher at Tumbler Ridge Secondary School in British Columbia.

Van Rootselaar, 18, opened fire on police when they arrived and “rounds were fired in their direction”, said Dwayne McDonald, deputy commissioner of the British Columbia Royal Canadian Mounted Police.

Van Rootselaar, who police had earlier described as a “gunperson” wearing a dress, died at the school. He was not a student at the time of the shooting.

According to police, the killer began transitioning six years ago.

The death toll was downgraded from ten to nine on Wednesday afternoon. Police said they mistakenly reported a female victim as dead after she was airlifted to hospital in serious condition.

Who Approved the ‘Trans Pride Flag’ at This Council?

A Labour-controlled council is facing mounting criticism after announcing plans to fly a ‘trans-inclusive Pride flag’ outside its town hall for 30 days every year until 2030.

This move breaches political neutrality laws and promotes a highly contested ideological position on sex and gender.

Ipswich Borough Council says it intends to raise the ‘Progress Pride flag’ annually, despite objections from women’s rights organisations who argue the gesture violates the Local Government Act 1986, which requires local authorities to avoid political campaigning.

“Nothing neutral about ‘pride’ flags”

Susan Smith, co-director of For Women Scotland, has condemned the council’s proposal, describing the flag as “not neutral” and warning that it represents “an adherence to an anti-scientific position on sex and gender”.

Fiona McAnena, director of campaigns for the sex-based rights charity Sex Matters, echoed those concerns, stating that councils should not fly symbols that demonstrate allegiance to what she called “a highly contested ideology, that of transgenderism”.

“This goes much further than normal support for gay rights,” she said. “Elected councillors and local authority officials have a public duty to treat everyone fairly, but flying this flag signals that the council favours all things LGBTQ+, since that’s what the flag represents.”

She added that the symbolism sends a chilling message to women and others who raise legitimate concerns about the erosion of sex-based protections.

“It has been obvious for years that some trans demands are not compatible with women’s rights,” McAnena said. “Here’s a local authority flying the flag that says, in effect, women’s rights don’t matter.”

Her concerns follow an April 2025 Supreme Court ruling that confirmed sex under the Equality Act refers to biological sex.

Public bodies and businesses are now awaiting fresh guidance from the Equality and Human Rights Commission explaining their legal duties to protect single-sex spaces in light of the ruling.

The Council’s Response

John Cook, portfolio holder for communities on Ipswich Borough Council, defended the proposal, saying: “It’s never been an issue in the years we’ve flown the flag. There’s no cost to taxpayers here.”

However, that cost is not the central concern, principle is.

They claim that councils exist to provide services, not to signal ideological alignment or enter into culture-war symbolism that divides communities and marginalises those who hold traditional or faith-based views.

These controversies point to a broader trend: local authorities increasingly using public spaces to advance ideological positions rather than serve the whole community impartially.

This trajectory reflects a nation drifting further from its Christian heritage and moral foundations.

Midwives within NHS hospitals are now being instructed to record the “gender identity,” “pronouns,” and even “sexual orientation” of newborn babies. This is an extraordinary development that has provoked outrage and disbelief.

According to The Daily Sceptic , under a newly adopted £450 million digital patient record system called Epic, hospitals are using default registration templates that ask ideological questions wholly incompatible with infancy.

Midwife raises alarm

One midwife at Torbay and South Devon NHS Foundation Trust was brave enough to blow the whistle, saying staff are “worried” by the forms, but don’t want to raise the issue with NHS managers.

She described being “shocked” during training to discover there was no straightforward option to record a baby’s biological sex. Instead, staff were presented with fields for “assigned sex at birth” alongside identity-based categories.

The midwife warned that these records form the backbone of a child’s legal and medical existence, following them for life and underpinning birth certification. That such foundational documentation now prioritises ideology over observable biological reality has been described as deeply troubling.

Foreign software, foreign values

The Epic system is produced by US technology giant Epic Systems and has been rolled out across at least ten NHS trusts, including major London hospitals such as King’s College Hospital and Guy’s and St Thomas’.

Rather than customising the software for newborn clinical reality, NHS trusts appear to have imported ideological fields directly from American templates.

Experts have condemned the decision to embed concepts such as “gender identity” into neonatal records as “farcical,” warning that the NHS has adopted activist categories without any serious ethical or biological scrutiny.

Beyond identity labels, the Epic system also requires staff to complete an “organ inventory,” listing organs present at birth, organs currently possessed, surgically constructed organs, and hormonally altered organs.

This mechanistic and experimental framing treats the human body as a malleable construction project rather than an integrated creation.

Quiet clamp down

In 2023, NHS officials claimed the system would be updated to record biological sex only after complaints from frontline staff. Yet the underlying problem remains: NHS leadership approved the purchase and deployment of a system containing these ideological assumptions in the first place.

No senior figures have accepted responsibility. Instead, Britain’s national health service appears to be drifting further into cultural experimentation while parents, clinicians, and children bear the consequences. What should be a moment of joy, the recording of new life, has become yet another battlefield in an ideological war against created truth.

A health service or gender war zone?

In August 2024, NHS staff at multiple hospitals in England were told they must check whether all patients aged 12 to 55 are pregnant, regardless of their sex. But the NHS claimed it was part of its ‘inclusivity policy’.

The guidance, which followed an incident where a ‘transgender man’ unknowingly underwent a CT scan while pregnant, required staff to ask about pregnancy status without making assumptions about a patient’s gender identity.

Some hospitals even went further, asking patients to complete forms stating their sex at birth, preferred name and pronouns.

With the chaos and ideological confusion engulfing the NHS in recent years, many Britons are now asking unavoidable questions: Who is really directing policy inside the health service? And why does the NHS appear willing to sidestep the Supreme Court’s judgment on gender in favour of imported ideology?

Celebrities are set to perform at a concert of shame, known as “Trans Mission” openly defying the Supreme Court’s ruling on gender.

Artists including Sugababes, Sophie Ellis-Bextor, Wolf Alice, Christine and the Queens, Beverley Knight and others, will gather at Wembley Arena in March 2026 to promote sodomy.

What is being hailed as a glittering celebration of “trans rights” is, in reality, a brazen attempt by Britain’s entertainment elite to normalise ideological falsehoods under the guise of charity.

Organised by Olly Alexander and Mighty Hoopla, the event drags the nation’s youth into a fantasy world where feelings outrank facts and celebrity dogma takes precedence over God’s Word. They are not offering compassion, they are selling confusion.

False claims and factual errors

Organisers claim the concert answers “hate crimes” and protests the UK Supreme Court ruling confirming that “sex” in law means biological sex.

That ruling simply reaffirmed objective reality. No one’s dignity was removed, only ideological overreach was restrained.

Yet celebrities brand biological truth as “hate.” This is tone-deaf, dishonest, and dangerous.

When the Good Law Project says “To be trans is to celebrate infinite possibility,” it declares a doctrine directly opposed to Scripture.

Follow the money: Activism in disguise

Funds will go to the Good Law Project and Not a Phase, both pushing for gender self-identification, legal erasure of sex-based protections, and policies affecting schools, prisons, healthcare, and parental rights.

This is not charity. This is political fundraising disguised as entertainment, using pop culture to bankroll a movement that undermines safeguarding, women’s sports, single-sex spaces, and the well being of children.

Christ warned of those who “draw nigh unto me with their mouth” while their hearts pursue another agenda.

The smiles may be sincere, the mission is not.

Meanwhile celebrities congratulate themselves for being “brave” from corporate-funded stages.

When disagreement is smeared as “hate,” honest conversation becomes impossible and truth becomes the first casualty.

A cultural warning for Britain

Tickets go on sale at £28.50, promising a night of “solidarity” and “community action.” But solidarity built on falsehood leads only to deeper division.

Britain is not suffering from a lack of concerts, it suffers from a lack of truth.

Real compassion is rooted in clarity, not in ideological coercion. Real unity is found in Christ, not in secular liturgies performed under spotlights.

King Charles Endorses Sodomy

The opening of the memorial was marked with an unveiling ceremony attended by King Charles: Reuters.

The LGBT Pride memorial disgraces the National Arboretum.

His Majesty the King is badly advised to lend his authority to promoting homosexuality. When King Charles III unveiled the memorial to “lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender” military personnel at the National Memorial Arboretum in Staffordshire, it marked his endorsement of sodomy in the UK.

The bronze sculpture, named “An Opened Letter”, honours those who served when being homosexual in the armed forces was illegal and those now serving who identify as “LGBT”. They constantly seek honour, knowing in their hearts that what they are doing is wrong, and His Majesty has given it.

The King’s endorsement sends a signal that the whole establishment are aligning with and even promoting a worldview that redefines sexuality and gender, rather than upholding biblical truth as our Christian constitution demands.

Needless to say, there is no memorial for young men and women in the forces who have been seduced into homosexuality or interfered with by a senior officer. Nothing negative can be said about the destructive, predatory lifestyle of homosexuality. This is worse than his late mother giving her royal assent to same-sex ‘marriage’. The sovereign has lent his prestige in public to an ideology that equates marriage with unbiblical sexual behaviour. The cultural and moral compass of the nation has been reset.

For children growing up in schools and youth programmes, the signal is clear: identity and sexuality are fluid, institutions endorse them, and tradition is set aside. Our elite have taken the people and their children another step down the road to Sodom and Gomorrah.

Children, Identity and Sexuality

Young people today are being told that identity is whatever they feel, and that sexuality is a spectrum to be explored and affirmed. When the highest office in the land symbolically embraces such empowerment, it influences policy, education and public norms.

For children in Britain, this means the era of stable, binary sex and lifelong marriage is replaced by an agenda that elevates expression and self-identification above biological reality. If even the monarchy signals approval, then dissenting voices may feel sidelined.

As the Apostle Paul warned,
1 Corinthians 7:31 And they that use this world, as not abusing it: for the fashion of this world passeth away.

Where does the state’s duty lie? Beneath the veneer of inclusion lies the question of whether children are being protected or experimented upon. If boys or girls are encouraged to “become who they feel they are”, the Church must inquire: What has happened to the creation order.

The Woke Advisers Surrounding the Throne

The King is surrounded by people steeped in “woke” ideologies: diversity officers, gender-identity consultants, and progressive cultural managers.

These advisers promote a narrative that “inclusivity” means rewriting centuries of moral teaching. By aligning the Crown with such advisers, Britain signals that tradition, faith and biological truth are subservient to identity politics.

The Christian Church will find that when the sovereign endorses a narrative reversing biblical teaching, it weakens the Gospel voice. The Muslims in our midst will notice.

Why the UK Keeps Leaning Towards Destruction

Britain’s moral trajectory is troubling. Western nations increasingly see marriage, family, sexuality and gender as mutable rather than fixed.

The UK’s laws, education and public policy have shifted accordingly. When the highest institution endorses that shift, the decay of public morality accelerates.

The broad way is attractive, socially praised, publicly funded, but ultimately leads to loss of meaning, identity chaos and weaker families. Britain appears to be walking that broad way, and when the King endorses its underlying assumptions, scripture shows the people follow.

Nations Taking a Stand Against Sodomy

Some nations still resist the tide of sexual revolution. A pro-sodomy website complains that ‘a total of 65 nations still have laws against homosexuality.’ Nor is the trend completely towards decriminalisation, despite the efforts of western-funded pro-sodomy NGOs.

They say: ‘The latest nation to adopt an anti-gay law is Burkina Faso in West Africa, on Sept. 1, 2025.’ That francophone nation has only recently cast off its ties to the West.

But sadly, from a biblical perspective, ‘About a month earlier, same-sex intimacy was made legal in the Caribbean island nation of St. Lucia when the Eastern Caribbean Supreme Court on July 29 struck down laws against consensual sodomy and “gross indecency” in private.’

These nations illustrate the counter-cultural but scriptural position: that sexual activity outside the created order is deemed unlawful by God himself and a threat to public morality. They provide a reminder to Britain that legal affirmation of chosen identity and sexuality in the face of the created order is neither inevitable nor free of consequence.

A Call to Church and Nation

In this moment, the Church and all who value truth must ask: where will we stand? The King’s public endorsement of LGBT+ memorialising is not merely symbolic, it is a marker of a deeper cultural alliance.

If Britain continues to lean into identity politics and detatch sexuality from created order, the consequences for children, families and national life will be profound. Yet Scripture offers hope:
Proverbs 14:34 Righteousness exalteth a nation: but sin is a reproach to any people.

The Church must not shrink back. We are not without voice. We are not without power. We are called to speak the truth in love. Christians will need to stand firm on God’s word and the truth of the Gospel in our day.

Bristol City Council loses fight over Freedom of Information cases - BBC News

A woke council has plunged into a “transgender” row after insisting that women should be called “people with ovaries”, according to the Times.

In a 39-page submission to the Equality and Human Rights Commission (EHRC), Bristol city council maintained that defining sex as biological “misgenders trans people” and risks discrimination.

The council has been accused of offending women with “virtue-signalling madness”.

Greens want to protect ‘people who chest-feed’

The “woke” council whose Green Party leader Tony Dyer has criticised the Supreme Court ruling, raised a number of objections, including urging the EHRC to drop gendered language when referring to pregnancy, maternity and breastfeeding.

It wrote that “not all pregnant individuals would use the pronouns ‘she/her’” so it could lead to “emotional and psychological distress” for “trans men, non-binary, gender diverse or intersex individuals”.

“We strongly advise the use of more inclusive language such as using ‘they/them’ to refer to all individuals, or include other identities to reflect the diversity of individuals who access maternity or paternity services.

“This could include ‘people with ovaries’ or the term ‘people who use paternity services’. We also recognise that individuals may not identify with the word maternity and prefer paternity as it is gender neutral.

“Additionally, it is unclear what support will be available to trans people who chest-feed to ensure they are protected from discrimination.”

Protections based on biological sex are “too vague”, the response added, as: “It is unclear whether it refers to anyone capable of pregnancy, or only those who were assigned female at birth.”

Council officials complained that the new guidance implies that “trans women are not ‘really’ women” and risked “creating a hostile environment in public services”.

This raises medical questions, ethical concerns, and deep unease about robbing mothers of their unique God-given role.

To strip away the words “mother” and “breastfeeding” in favour of “chest-feeding” is not inclusivity but an assault on motherhood itself. It denies the created order and confuses children about who brings them into the world.

Defying the Supreme Court

Across the UK, organisations are resisting the Supreme Court’s clear ruling that sex in equality law means biological sex. Instead of adjusting policy, they seek ways around it.

NHS Fife Tribunal (Scotland): At a tribunal involving nurse Sandie Peggie, who objected to sharing a changing room with a trans-identifying male, NHS Fife’s barrister appeared to undermine the Supreme Court ruling, suggesting that trans women may not legally be male under the Equality Act.

The Labour Party cancelled its women’s conference after the ruling, fearing legal risks if “self-identified women” were admitted to spaces reserved by law for biological women. Instead of embracing the clarity of law, the Party chose to appease activists.

Battle against womanhood

In August 2025, UK’s first transgender judge, Jason Williams, who now according to the Telegraph goes by the name ‘Dr. Victoria McCloud’ launched a legal challenge against the United Kingdom itself in the European Court of Human Rights.

Supported by activist lawyers, the retired judge is contesting the April ruling of the Supreme Court which affirmed that the word “woman” in the Equality Act 2010 refers only to biological women, not to men who identify as female.

This landmark judgement brought long-needed clarity, yet we are now faced with the question: Why should anyone defy the authority of the Supreme Court of the United Kingdom?

Why did an MP side with disgraced ‘Surrey Pride’?

A feminist campaigner has spoken out after being ejected from the recent ‘Pride in Surrey’ event.

Jo Bartosh, a veteran journalist and long-time advocate for women’s rights, said she was ordered to leave by four security guards after raising safeguarding concerns. Ms. Bartosh had been recording conversations for a podcast when security closed in and escorted her from the premises.

The Spiked Online journalist maintains she was calm and respectful, speaking with attendees and Zöe Franklin, Liberal Democrat MP for Guildford. It was shortly after her exchange with the MP that ‘security staff’ insisted she leave.

“This is what ‘no debate’ looks like in practice,” said Jo Bartosch. “Asking polite questions about the safety of children should never be treated as a threat.”

Political intervention raises questions

Zöe Franklin- Liberal Democrat MP for Guildford.

So what was the role of MP Zöe Franklin in the expulsion of Jo Bartosch? The journalist alleges that her removal followed the intervention of Ms. Franklin, both present at and supportive of the event. A Liberal Democrat spokesman said: “This is entirely false – Zöe did not ask officials to remove anyone from the pride event.” She may not have ‘asked’ but she appears to have reported her conversation to them. The Bible condemns those who side with the wicked:

Psalm 71:10 For mine enemies speak against me; and they that lay wait for my soul take counsel together,
Rom 1:32 Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, … have pleasure in them that do them.

The MP insists she has no official ties to ‘Pride in Surrey,’ so her intervention is an even more worrying sign of politicians protecting the wicked from scrutiny.

Why are our elected representatives more concerned with protecting the reputation of an event like ‘Pride’ where pederasty became embedded? The same attitude among our arrogant elite has also put multiculturalism ahead of protecting young girls in the Muslim grooming scandal. Has MP Zöe completely lost her moral compass in departing from the ways of the Lord? The Bible says:

Isa 29:15 Woe unto them that seek deep to hide their counsel from the LORD, and their works are in the dark, and they say, Who seeth us? and who knoweth us?

Disputed claims on safeguarding

The row has been fuelled further by conflicting statements about police oversight. ‘Pride’ organisers declared on their website: ‘Surrey Police have made it explicitly clear that there are no concerns’ about the organisation.

Lisa Townsend, Surrey’s Police and Crime Commissioner, swiftly corrected the record, stating that Surrey Police had never made such a declaration. That clarification is welcome, especially as the force previously welcomed ‘Pride’ predator Stephen Ireland into their operations and painted patrol cars in rainbow colours. The Lord Jesus said:

Luke 15:7 I say unto you, that likewise joy shall be in heaven over one sinner that repenteth, more than over ninety and nine just persons, which need no repentance.

It remains to be seen whether Surrey Police are truly repentant, while ‘Pride’ event organisers are prepared to lie about safeguarding assurances and throw out anyone who dares them questions. Truth, transparency and accountability appear as vanishingly small among the LGBT network as those qualities are among today’s elite in general:

Isa 59:14 And judgment is turned away backward, and justice standeth afar off: for truth is fallen in the street, and equity cannot enter.

A legacy of scandal

The backdrop to this controversy cannot be ignored. ‘Pride in Surrey’ returned this year despite the jailing of its co-founder, Stephen Ireland. He was convicted in March then sentenced in June 2025 to 24 years for buggering a 12-year-old boy he groomed on homosexual contact site Grindr. This predatory history should place safeguarding at the centre of discussion. That it is instead used to silence those who raise legitimate questions speaks volumes about the extent of the web of depravity in Surrey Pride.

Stephen Ireland’s conviction should have dealt a devastating blow to public confidence in the organisers’ commitment to safeguarding. Even Surrey County Council withdrew its support in July, saying the event could not credibly claim to represent the entire LGBTQ+ community. Yet despite these concerns, the festival went ahead, buoyed by the support of Guildford MP Mrs Franklin. For survivors of abuse and those campaigning for child protection, the decisions of both ‘Pride’ and the MP are a slap in the face.

Free speech and the fight for safeguarding

At its core, the Bindel incident speaks to a broader climate where legitimate safeguarding concerns are branded as hostile, and campaigners are vilified rather than heard. In an age which professes heightened awareness about child protection, this reversal of priorities is hypocritical and alarming.

Instead of dismissing critics, organisers and their allies in Parliament should welcome scrutiny as a sign of accountability. But they don’t. Nevertheless, the Lord Jesus said:

Luke 8:17 For nothing is secret, that shall not be made manifest; neither hid, that shall not be known and come abroad.

And the psalmist assures us that judgment will fall on all those like Zöe Franklin and her many colleagues who think they know better than the almighty lawgiver:

Biological realities

The retired judge claims his right to a fair trial was breached because the Supreme Court did not hear directly from him or other transgender individuals.

But courts cannot possibly hear from every interested party in every case, or justice would never be delivered. What he is really demanding is not fairness, but special treatment.

The Supreme Court was right to listen instead to established groups representing ordinary citizens, such as For Women Scotland, Sex Matters, and the LGB Alliance, who presented evidence based on reality, not ideology.

The wider struggle for truth

This case comes as For Women Scotland continues to battle the Scottish Government for failing to implement the Supreme Court’s ruling in schools and prisons.

The group and many individuals have rightly pointed out that young girls must not be compelled to share toilets or changing rooms with biological males, nor should vulnerable women in prison be put at risk by the presence of men identifying as female. Such protections are not cruelty but common sense.

This is not an optional belief for Christians, but a foundational truth of God’s creation. To discard it is to undermine the very building blocks of society.

Ms. Nandy has often positioned herself as an ally to ‘trans’ activism, regardless of the implications for women’s safety and biological truth.

‘Protect the dolls’

The slogan is not as harmless as it looks. ‘Dolls,’ according to its designer and promoters, refers to men who claim to be women.

It has been paraded by celebrities such as Pedro Pascal and Madonna, and hailed by glossy magazines as an affectionate term within queer communities. Yet the very word is patronising, reducing women to playthings, while simultaneously demanding that men dressed as women be treated as though they truly were female.

Christian Voice warns that this ideology opens the door to dangerous consequences, particularly when male-bodied individuals are given access to women’s spaces, sports, and protections.

Government’s blindness on biology

Lisa Nandy’s choice of clothing is just the latest sign of government’s refusal to confront reality.

She has argued that male criminals who declare themselves female should be housed in women’s prisons, and has supported the idea that men compete in women’s sport.

Last year, Jess Phillips, supposedly tasked with safeguarding women, declared she would happily call transwomen “women.”

Meanwhile, Andrew Western fretted about the “fear and distress” men might feel if told to stay out of women’s toilets. This is not progress but delusion, and it is women and girls who will pay the price.

A call to defend what God has ordained

At stake here is not merely a legal technicality but the future of truth in public life. If the Supreme Court of the United Kingdom—our highest legal authority—is undermined by appeals to foreign courts, what message does this send? Should unelected judges in Strasbourg overturn the authority of the land and the will of the people?

James 4:17 Therefore to him that knoweth to do good, and doeth it not, to him it is sin.

We are called to speak truth, defend righteousness, and uphold the institutions that God in His wisdom has allowed to stand.

The ruling of the Supreme Court should be honoured, not challenged, for in so doing Britain affirms reality, defends women, and resists the tide of dangerous ideology.
