Government’s mask slips on grooming scandal

1
Lucy Powell, Leader of the House of Commons
Lucy Powell, Leader of the House of Commons

Last week, Lucy Powell, Leader of the House of Commons, delivered what may go down as one of the most revealing moments of the party’s relationship with Britain’s most harrowing child abuse scandal.

On BBC Radio 4’s Any Questions, Ms. Powell dismissed concerns about the grooming gangs crisis as a “dog whistle” tactic, sneering at journalist Tim Montgomerie’s mention of a new documentary exposing the decades-long horrors faced by thousands of working-class girls.

Rather than acknowledge the pain or discuss accountability, Lucy reached for sarcasm: “Oh, we want to blow that little trumpet now, do we” and “Let’s get that dog whistle out, shall we?”

The backlash was instant – and deserved. Yet instead of sacking Ms. Powell, Prime Minister Keir Starmer backed her “apology,” claiming her words “did not reflect her true views.” An insult to national intelligence. Because the truth is – they did.

Sneers, deflections and familiar lines

The most damning part of Ms. Powell’s outburst wasn’t just its cruelty. It was how closely it echoed Mr. Starmer himself. Back in January, when the grooming gang scandal re-entered the public sphere, the Prime Minister accused opponents of wanting to “jump on a bandwagon of the far Right.”

One can’t help but note the symmetry: Powell with “dog whistle,” Starmer with “far-Right bandwagon.” Neither attempted to address the legitimate outrage of families or the documented failures of state institutions.

Instead, both insinuated that concern itself was suspect – perhaps even racist. This isn’t a one-off gaffe. It’s party orthodoxy.

Ask us to come and speak at your church →

The government’s pattern of contempt

Powell’s comments join a long line of dismissals from the government’s figures who can barely contain their irritation at having to discuss the rape gangs.

Jess Phillips, the government’s safeguarding minister, visibly scoffed when Conservative MP Katie Lam demanded answers on why promised judicial inquiries were downgraded to council-led probes – the very councils often complicit in previous cover-ups.

Phillips all but accused Lam of caring about “one kind of victim.” Yet it’s Labour that continues to minimise this particular scandal. Why? Because it’s politically inconvenient.

Return to the UK’s Christian Constitution →

The culture of cowardice and denial

It is not new for this government to shrink from the grooming gang crisis. As far back as 2003, Ann Cryer – a Labour MP herself – was labelled a racist for daring to speak up.

And in 2014, Alexis Jay’s report laid bare how authorities in Rotherham failed to act for fear of “being seen as racist.” That fear still rules today.

Not because it protects communities, but because it shields Labour from accusations it has come to dread more than failing the vulnerable: being seen as “right-wing.” What does that say about their moral compass?

A national scandal, a national betrayal

For over two decades, thousands of girls – overwhelmingly white, working class, many of them in ‘care’ – were groomed, raped, trafficked, and in some cases, murdered. And yet to this day, this government appears to treat the scandal as an electoral headache rather than a national tragedy. When Ms. Powell sneered last week, she wasn’t merely offering a personal misjudgement.

She was channelling the latent condescension of a political class that finds the victims inconvenient and the outrage embarrassing. The mask slipped, and behind it: indifference.

The price of political expediency

It is no surprise the party has resisted every call for a full statutory inquiry. Because such an inquiry would shine light not just on the criminals, but on the enablers: local councils, social workers, police departments – and yes, politicians.

In choosing to turn inward, to defend itself instead of seeking justice, Labour has placed its reputation above the lives of abused girls. Even now, the PM claims this isn’t the time for scrutiny. When, then, is the right time?

A reckoning still to come

The government can paper over this moment with mealy-mouthed apologies and hollow clarifications, but the public sees through it. The anger is not partisan.

It’s human. When safeguarding collapses and institutions cover their ears, citizens demand answers – not accusations of dog-whistling.

Lucy Powell’s sneer was a moment of clarity.  Mr. Starmer’s defence of her, a moment of cowardice. Until the government confronts the moral decay that enabled these crimes to persist, it forfeits any rightful claim to the trust of the British people.

FA bans men from tackling women

The Football Association (FA) has finally confirmed it will ban transgender women—individuals who have undergone male puberty- from participating in the women’s game, in a long-overdue admission of biological reality.

The policy, which takes effect from 1 June 2025, follows a Supreme Court ruling on 16 April, compelling the FA to align its practices with the law.

After years of placing inclusivity above integrity, fairness and player safety, the FA’s U-turn has been cautiously welcomed by campaigners as a long-awaited correction to a deeply flawed policy.

The governing body has now, under legal duress, conceded what many in the sporting world have argued for years: “that biology—not identity—must be the basis for female competition”.

Stop Transgenderism Now!

A tardy shift that others made long ago

The FA’s about-turn, though appreciated, stands in stark contrast to the timelier responses of other sporting bodies. Rugby union and hockey acted years ago to restrict female categories to those born female, prioritising fairness and safety in contact sports.

England Netball too has now announced a ban on trans-identified males in its female category, with a new policy effective from 1 September 2025. The sport will instead offer a “mixed netball” category for men pretending to be women

And in a notable development aligning with the FA’s new position, English cricket,  which had previously allowed “transgender women” to participate in grassroots female games, confirmed it will follow suit on the ban with immediate effect. These changes demonstrate a slow but growing recognition among governing bodies that fairness for women and girls is non-negotiable.

A climb-down disguised as compassion

Meanwhile, even in FA’s retreat, the body seems desperate to retain a veneer of moral high ground. Announcing the change, it promised to “reach out” to the approximately 20 transgender women currently playing, stressing the emotional hardship of those “who simply want to play the game they love.”

This belated sensitivity might ring less hollow had the same level of empathy ever been shown to female players forced to compete against biological males.

Nowhere in its statement is there any acknowledgement of the harm done: the compromised fairness, the safety risks, or the erosion of public trust in women’s sport. Instead, we’re offered the same weary messaging about inclusion, while biological females have been expected to stay silent or be labelled bigots.

Ask us to come and speak at your church →

Political endorsement with a caveat

Downing Street cautiously welcomed the FA’s revised policy, pointing out that while individual sports can set their own guidelines, these must comply with the law.

A government spokesperson reiterated a simple truth many in authority have tried to ignore: “Biology matters when it comes to women’s sport.”

While the support is appreciated, this statement also exposes a gaping hole—namely, why has the Government allowed this confusion to persist for so long? Instead of clear legislative direction, policymakers have largely tiptoed around the issue, leaving female athletes to carry the burden of activism while institutions dithered.

Ideology above objectivity

While many athletes and women’s sports advocates have welcomed moves to restore fairness in female categories, some Members of Parliament and NHS Trusts are aggressively opposing the Football Association’s (FA) recent decision. Instead of acknowledging the long-standing concerns of female athletes who’ve raised red flags about competing against biological males, critics of the FA’s stance have painted the move as discriminatory, ignoring the broader implications for sport and women’s rights. Some NHS Trusts, stepping outside their core healthcare remit, have suggested that the policy could impact transgender mental health, as if the feelings of a small minority should override physical safety and equal opportunity for women in sport. Similarly, MPs voicing opposition have used the language of “inclusivity” while failing to address the inherent imbalance such “inclusivity” introduces to competitive fairness. This reaction reflects a troubling pattern where institutions seem more focused on signalling virtue than grappling with the consequences of their positions. If politicians and NHS bodies wish to defend fairness, they should be standing with women who have been sidelined, silenced, or forced to compete under unequal conditions. Instead, they are lending their authority to a cause that is increasingly at odds with both scientific reasoning and public opinion.

Campaigners say ‘too little, too late’

Groups such as Sex Matters and SEEN in Sport welcomed the FA’s eventual shift—but not without critique. Fiona McAnena, campaigns director at Sex Matters, described the decision as “welcome but long overdue,” a sentiment shared widely across the grassroots sporting community. SEEN in Sport went further, slamming the FA’s prolonged inaction as “a failure of leadership.”

Indeed, while this is the correct course, they do not erase the years of neglect during which female athletes were left vulnerable—physically, emotionally and professionally. Campaigners have been vindicated, but their frustration remains palpable: it should never have taken a court ruling to affirm that women deserve their own sporting category.

Meanwhile, Olympic swimming star Sharron Davies, who has led a ten-year fight to stop biological men taking part in women’s sport, told The Sun she was delighted, and disgusted, by the FA’s “too little, too late” move.

Stonewall’s dissonant chorus

Predictably, LGBT+ charity Stonewall denounced the FA’s decision, lamenting that it was made “too soon” and before the legal implications had been fully digested. Yet this ignores the reality that the law has now spoken—and more importantly, that the conversation on fairness and sex-based rights is no longer dominated by slogans and sentiment.

Stonewall’s rebuke also sits awkwardly against its longstanding influence over the FA through campaigns such as Rainbow Laces. But support for inclusion cannot come at the expense of reality.

Advocating for “inclusion at all costs” has brought women’s sport to the brink. The FA’s reversal marks a necessary, if overdue, recalibration. Others would do well to follow—quickly and unequivocally.

Francis: The Globalists’ Pope

The late Pope Francis
The late Pope Francis

I thought it would be good to look at the last day and the funeral of the late Pope Francis and see if we can bring scripture to bear on some of the views expressed both by him and at his funeral.

Morality and internal security

You might ask: ‘What is an organisation which supports the Protestant settlement of the United Kingdom doing commenting on Roman Catholicism?’

Well, I suggest that what the leader of the world’s one point four billion Catholics says matters. It has an effect on both the cultural and spiritual environment.

I’m not talking about internal doctrine. I could go there, but I’m focussing here on matters of morality and internal security.

‘Build bridges, not walls’

Cardinal Battista Re
Cardinal Battista Re

It’s all very well for Cardinal Battista Re to tell mourners at Pope Francis’s funeral to “build bridges, not walls”, echoing the late pope’s own words.

But that exhortation would give rise to fewer accusations of hypocrisy were the Vatican itself not surrounded by a very big wall.

The Pope’s Swiss Guards are not known for welcoming in migrants to bed down for the night.

So if the Vatican does not want to let in any old Ahmed, Abdullah or Mohammed, why should the rest of us do so?

’Unfamiliar customs

The late Pope Francis
The late Pope Francis

On Easter Day, hours before his death, the late pontiff said: “On this day, I would like all of us to hope anew and to revive our trust in others, including those who are different from ourselves, or who come from distant lands, bringing unfamiliar customs, ways of life and ideas – for all of us are children of God.”

Well, we may all be made in the image of God, but I read in the Apostle Paul’s Letter to the Ephesians in chapter two, that unbelievers are not the children of God but the children of wrath:
Eph 2:3 Among whom also we all had our conversation in times past in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind; and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others.

And in chapter five that they are the children of disobedience.
Eph 5:6 Let no man deceive you with vain words: for because of these things cometh the wrath of God upon the children of disobedience.

Writing to the Galatians, he explains:
Gal 3:26 For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus.

Faith in Christ Jesus

The Rochdale grooming gang
The Rochdale grooming gang

Faith in Christ Jesus, the pre-condition of being ‘children of God’, is not an open characteristic of the Muslim immigrants swarming in to Europe and crossing the English Channel.

They certainly are ‘bringing unfamiliar customs, ways of life and ideas.’ Not half they are.

Customs such as antisemitism and contempt for non-Muslims, all of which is written into the Mohammedan religion. I don’t think much of their idea that poor indigenous girls in care are easy meat for their sexual depravity either.

On top of that, they are working, migrating and increasing in order to replace our Christian constitution with an Islamic one.

King Charles gives his Easter message
King Charles gives his Easter message

In Bible times, those who snuck in to a country intending to overturn its religion, and with that its laws, did not last long:
2Chron 15:13 That whosoever would not seek the LORD God of Israel should be put to death, whether small or great, whether man or woman.

The comments of King Charles at Easter suggest he, like most of the Establishment, simply doesn’t get it and urgently needs your prayer. Celebrating Islamic festivals in our Cathedrals? The BBC promoting Islam at Easter? Our elite have a death-wish.

’Marginalised and migrants’

“How much contempt is stirred up at times towards the vulnerable, the marginalised, and migrants,” the late Pope wrote. By ‘vulnerable’ and ‘marginalised’, I understand he meant those of an LGBT disposition, those who according to the Bible need repentance of wicked activities and vile affections:

1Cor 6:11 And such were some of you: but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God.

In fact his big mistake is to start with the pastoral, not with God’s righteous laws. You can temper justice with mercy, but start with mercy and justice won’t get a look-in.

Prince William and Jacinda Ardern at, once again, the World Economic Forum in Davos
Prince William and Jacinda Ardern at, once again, the World Economic Forum in Davos

Psalm 89:14 Justice and judgment are the habitation of thy throne: mercy and truth shall go before thy face.

And then to equate ‘migrants’ with these alleged vulnerable and marginalised folk who appear to run all our British institutions and quangos is beyond.

Funnily enough, pro-gay, pro-trans and pro-migrant are also articles of faith at the World Economic Forum, the WEF, in Davos. It is hard to escape the conclusion that Francis was the globalists’ pope.

Cardinals will meet

The Cardinals will now meet to elect a successor. As I maintain, this matters. What the pope says affects us all. Pray for his successor, who is a mere man like the rest of us, to seek the Lord in his word and stand for the family, for righteousness, for Christianity.

I’m sure you will tell me in the comments whether that is too big a prayer for our miracle-working God. But be polite. We don’t diss dignitaries here, we pray for them.

King and Queen attend Royal Maundy Service in Durham

In a solemn service attended by clergy, veterans, and members of the public, the King  distributed Maundy money, a ceremonial coins gifted to pensioners in recognition of their Christian service and community contribution.

The tradition dates back to the 13th century and is rooted in Jesus Christ’s act of humility when He washed the feet of His disciples before His crucifixion.

For believers, it serves as a reminder of the servant leadership Christ exemplified,a striking contrast to the self-serving posturing we often witness in today’s corridors of power.

Faith or Another Media-friendly Moment?

While the King’s public show of allegiance to Christian values is welcomed, it raises serious questions: is it enough? The monarch’s role as the “Defender of the Faith” carries a weight that must go beyond ceremonial participation.

Is this annual pilgrimage to a northern cathedral a heartfelt affirmation of faith—or another media-friendly moment designed to deflect from the erosion of Christian freedoms under this government?

Support NCCSS / Christian Voice →

Defender of Which Faith?

KIng Charles and Queen Camilla attends the Royal Maundy Service in Durham.
KIng Charles and Queen Camilla attends the Royal Maundy Service in Durham.

King Charles may bear the title “Defender of the Faith,” but in a nation increasingly hostile to Christianity, the title begs scrutiny. When Christian employees are disciplined for citing scripture, when schools cancel church services, and when government offices celebrate everything but Christianity—one has to ask what faith is he defending?

The monarchy, though largely symbolic, holds immense cultural sway. The King’s choice to visibly support other faiths is commendable in a diverse society. But equal visibility should not mean diluted allegiance to the Christian tradition that has shaped the moral and legal fabric of this country for centuries.

It is not enough to attend cathedral services or distribute Maundy money once a year. Defending the faith involves speaking up when it is being trampled upon, not just honouring it when convenient.

The King must decide whether he will truly stand for the Christian faith or simply be a ceremonial custodian of its relics.

“Not My King”

Anti- monarch protesters chanting "No my King"!
Anti- monarch protesters chanting “No my King”!

As King Charles arrived in Durham for the Maundy Thursday service, he was met not only by cheering crowds and loyal subjects but also by vocal anti-monarch protesters chanting “Not My King.” The  group, known as ” Republic” has been gaining traction, consistently challenging the legitimacy of the monarchy in a modern democracy.

Graham Smith, the leader of Republic, told Christian Voice: “We oppose the monarchy, and the ‘Not My King’ slogan comes from the fact that we don’t recognise him as the head of state.” He emphasised that their protest is not a personal attack on King Charles but a challenge to the institution itself.

“The monarchy is disrespectful to our institutions, it’s out of our constitution, and in a democracy we have to protest against things that are undemocratic.”

Mr. Smith acknowledged support from people of faith, despite his own non-religious stance. “There should be no king between Christians and God. God should be the only king,” he added.

Graham Smith- Leader of the anti-monarch group- Republic.

In a kingdom where the monarch is both head of state and nominal defender of the faith, that contradiction is becoming harder to ignore. This growing resistance exposes a deeper constitutional and spiritual tension: is the British monarchy a sacred symbol of continuity and faith, or an outdated emblem of inequality that stands in opposition to both democracy and biblical truth?

Inclusivity or Erasure?

Recently, a primary school in southern England made headlines for cancelling its annual Easter Bonnet Parade and accompanying church service. The reason? To be “more inclusive” and not offend non-Christian families. Instead, children were invited to participate in a generic spring-themed celebration stripped of any overt religious significance.

What was once a joyous, faith-rooted event has now been rebranded into a hollow performance of secular appeasement. Easter, the most significant event in the Christian calendar, reduced to nothing more than a seasonal aesthetic.

Schools, once partners in moral and spiritual development, now tiptoe around Christian expression in an attempt to avoid litigation or backlash.

What message does this send to children raised in the Christian faith? That their beliefs must be hidden to avoid offending others? That their celebrations are somehow less valid? Inclusivity should never come at the cost of erasing Christian identity from Britain’s public institutions.

Silenced for the Truth

Across the UK, Christians are being marginalised not just socially, but professionally. Individuals have lost jobs, been suspended, or faced public vilification for expressing views that align with Christian doctrine. Whether on social media, in private conversations, or even within religious institutions, speaking Biblical truth has become a dangerous act.

Take the case of a Christian teacher reprimanded for stating that marriage is between a man and a woman. Or the nurse suspended after offering prayer to a patient. These are not extreme fundamentalists, they are everyday professionals living out their faith quietly, yet now cast as pariahs by a society that preaches tolerance while practising selective outrage.

The government remains conspicuously silent as these injustices multiply. Laws purportedly designed to promote diversity are being wielded as tools to persecute Christian thought.

Christianity is not a hate movement, yet it is increasingly treated as such by those in positions of power. The silence from Downing Street and Whitehall is deafening, and speaks volumes about where this government truly stands.
The double standard is impossible to ignore. If a Muslim or Jewish teacher were suspended for their faith-based views, it would rightly cause uproar. But a Christian in the same situation is dismissed as outdated or intolerant.

The UK Government must remember that Christianity is not a fringe ideology. It is the historical and cultural backbone of this nation. Ignoring its erosion is not progressive governance—it is cultural vandalism.

Common Sense Restored – The Supreme Court’s Definition of a Woman

In a rare victory for biological reality and Christian ethics, the UK Supreme Court recently ruled in favour of defining a woman based on sex rather than self-identification. This decision brings much-needed clarity and puts to rest years of ideological confusion that has undermined legal protections for women and girls.

The ruling was a triumph for reason, science, and truth. It also vindicates those who have been relentlessly attacked for defending these truths—many of whom are Christians. Individuals who lost jobs, were de-platformed, or branded bigots for refusing to bow to a subjective, fluid definition of womanhood can finally breathe a sigh of relief.

This victory, however, did not come from the government, but from the judiciary. Politicians, for the most part, lacked the courage to take a stand. It was left to ordinary citizens, campaigners, and principled judges to do what Parliament would not.

Christians can find encouragement in this ruling, but it must not breed complacency. We must continue to engage, speak truth, and defend the dignity of all as image-bearers of God—male and female, made with intention and distinction.

A Call to Courage

The King and Queen leaving the Cathedral.
The King and Queen leaving the Cathedral.

Britain’s Christians are not asking for privilege. They are asking for the right to exist freely, to speak truth, and to live out their beliefs without fear of penalty. This is a basic freedom, enshrined in law, yet increasingly violated by cultural cowardice and governmental neglect.

Now is the time for the Church to speak boldly and for Christian politicians, journalists, and everyday citizens to push back against the soft persecution unfolding before us. We must not be lulled into silence by token gestures or ceremonial affirmations.

As we reflect on the King’s visit to Durham Cathedral, let us be reminded of Christ’s example. He did not retreat from confrontation, nor did he flatter the powerful. He spoke truth with compassion and clarity.

It is time for Britain’s Christian community to do the same. Our silence will not shield us. Only courageous, unwavering faith will preserve the truth for future generations.

Secular School Axed Easter for ‘Inclusivity’

A secular primary school in England has been criticised for cancelling its annual Easter Bonnet Parade and church service.

Norwood Primary School in Eastleigh, Hampshire says the decision to cancel the event was made to create a more “inclusive” environment.

Around fifty Christians gathered outside Norwood Primary School in Eastleigh, Hampshire on April 4 to protest the school’s decision, according to The Telegraph.

Protesters from a Disciples of Christ church held signs that read, “Christ is King,” “End the persecution of Christians,” and “the one true faith.” They also held a banner that read, “Headteacher Stephanie Mander wants to cancel Easter – let’s cancel her!”

Meanwhile, Headteacher Stephanie Mander stated the decision was made “in the spirit of inclusivity and respect for the diverse religious beliefs represented” in the school’s community.

Instead, the school plans to celebrate Easter within the classroom setting, aiming to create an environment where all children feel included.

Suella Braverman- Former Home Secretary

The decision has met with significant opposition from parents and community members.

Former Home Secretary Suella Braverman labelled the move as “cultural surrender,” emphasising the importance of preserving Britain’s Christian roots.

Dr. Gavin Ashenden, a former chaplain to the Queen, criticised the school’s leadership, describing the cancellation as an act of “Christianophobia” and a failure to uphold the nation’s cultural identity.

Many parents shared that they only learned of the cancellation through a quiet notice and felt blindsided. A few parents expressed frustration that their children had spent days preparing for the Easter Bonnet Parade, only to be told it was no longer happening.

Inclusivity or Exclusion?

While the school maintains that Easter will still be acknowledged through classroom activities, we argue that removing public celebrations diminishes the significance of the holiday.

The situation at Norwood Primary reflects a broader trend in the UK, where traditional Christian observances are increasingly sidelined in public institutions under the banner of inclusivity.

For instance, Adderley Primary School in Birmingham reportedly renamed Easter eggs to “chocolate eggs” to avoid Christian connotations. Such changes raise questions about the balance between “inclusivity” and the preservation of cultural traditions.

Who’s Steering the Ship—Kier or the Woke Team?

Who’s really in charge of this government? Is it the elected leaders, or the unelected cultural forces that seem to be pulling the strings behind the scenes? While this administration talks about unity and stability, it is clear that the ideological undercurrents shaping public life run far deeper than any manifesto.

From schools to media to corporate training rooms, a new orthodoxy dominates—one that prioritises identity politics, erases tradition, and dismisses dissent as bigotry. Under this climate, even long-standing Christian customs like Easter parades or nativity plays are deemed too controversial or “exclusive.”

And what has this government done to challenge it? Very little. Instead of reasserting Britain’s heritage and values, it appears to be tiptoeing around cultural radicals who demand endless appeasement.

Rather than defending common sense, the state has become a quiet accomplice in the redefinition of everything—from gender and family to faith and national history.

The concern is not only about who occupies 10 Downing Street, it is about who controls the narrative.

What’s Going On with Children and Education?

Christians protest outside primary school over 'disgraceful' scrapping of Easter service to 'respect' other religions | Daily Mail Online
Christians protest outside primary school over ‘disgraceful’ scrapping of Easter service to ‘respect’ other religions | Daily Mail Online

Today’s children are growing up in an education system more focused on pronouns and cultural sensitivity than literacy and national history.

From early years, they’re taught about gender identity and diverse family structures, but what about traditional values, the Bible, or national heritage?

Confusion, not clarity, now defines childhood education. When Christmas, Easter, and even gender are treated as “offensive,” what morals do children develop? When schools preach the virtue of “self-identification” over self-discipline, where is the foundation for resilience and moral character?

The Bible says,
Isaiah 5:20 Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness

Children need stability, clarity, and truth, not ideology dressed as education. If we fail to give that, we fail the next generation.
The Bible says in Proverbs 22:6 Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.

But today, it seems we are training children not in the way they should go, but in whatever direction feels politically correct.

A Nation at a Crossroads

Britain stands at a cultural and spiritual crossroads. Will it reaffirm its Christian roots and protect its children from ideological confusion, or will it continue down the road of cultural self-erasure? The time to decide is now.

The church, parents, and community leaders must reclaim their voice. Christianity is not an outdated relic—it is the moral and cultural bedrock of this nation.

In 2 Timothy 4:3-4, Paul wrote: For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears…And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.

We are in that time. And unless this generation begins to speak boldly and clearly, Britain may soon forget who she is—and who she was meant to be.

The women’s pool final with no women

In an extraordinary turn of events, the UK’s Ultimate Pool Women’s Pro Series Event 2 concluded with a final match that had no women.

The all-male final between Harriet Haynes and Lucy Smith, both “transgender-identified male”s, marked yet another grim milestone in the unravelling of women’s sports under the weight of trans ideology.

Haynes and Smith each eliminated four female opponents on their path to the championship, which Haynes ultimately claimed. But this wasn’t a triumph of talent, it was the predictable outcome of allowing biological men to compete in women’s leagues.

Stop Transgenderism Now!

“Cheating bulls***”

Piers Morgan’s response was swift. He branded the match-up “cheating bulls***”, while former Olympic swimmer Sharron Davies called it “grossly wrong in every way.”

Not only is fairness compromised, but so is the very integrity of women’s sport. The public saw a final that was meant to showcase top-tier female talent reduced to a mockery of the division it claimed to represent.

To add insult to injury, Haynes is no stranger to winning by default. In 2023, he was handed the Women’s Champion of Champions title after female player Lynne Pinches walked away from the table in protest. Her powerful words still ring: “Even if you win against a trans player, in your heart you know it’s unfair.”

With male height, reach, and physical leverage — all derived from male puberty — the field is skewed before the first ball is even struck.

When biological men are allowed to dominate women’s categories, women’s sport ceases to be what it was built to be: a level playing field for women.

Legal weaponisation of ‘gender identity’

Mr Haynes’ dominance in women’s pool is not just physical, it is also legal. After the English Blackball Pool Federation (EBPF) restricted its women’s division to biological females following the 2023 debacle, Haynes responded not with introspection, but with a lawsuit. He accused the federation of violating his rights under the UK’s Equality Act, citing discrimination against his “protected characteristic” as a transgender person.

Therein lies the tension: legal protections designed to prevent genuine discrimination are now being weaponised to dismantle the very concept of sex-based categories.

While Haynes bemoaned the loss of his “hobby and passion”, he showed no regard for the women displaced from their rightful spots. Women who have spent years training, funding themselves, and battling gender-based barriers — only to face a new form of exclusion.

The threat of legal action has had a chilling effect. While EBPF held firm, the Ultimate Pool Group and the World Blackball Pool Federation buckled, lifting their restrictions on “trans-identifying males”. This gave Haynes a green light to continue steamrolling through the women’s division, unchecked and unchallenged by those too afraid to defend fairness.

If a man can identify into a women’s category and then use anti-discrimination law to shut down opposition, we are not protecting minorities — we are silencing women. In what world is that progress, let alone righteous?

Disc Golf Protest

Across the Atlantic, another woman decided she’d had enough. At the Music City Open in Tennessee, disc golfer Abigail Wilson took a dramatic and public stand. Faced with competing against a “transgender” opponent, Natalie Ryan, Wilson mimed her opening throw, then turned to the crowd and declared, “Females must be protected in our division. This is unfair. I refuse to play.”

Her walkout, met with applause, echoed past protests in other women’s sports. On Instagram, she posted: “Today I most likely ended my career and that is OK because this is bigger than me.” Her words were not for clout. They were a raw, personal sacrifice to preserve what little fairness remains for women in sport.

Wilson described how she worked long, dirty hours as a tile mason to afford her spot on the Disc Golf Pro Tour, only to be ignored when she voiced safety concerns about playing with a male athlete who now claim to be a woman (trans). No security, no accommodations, no care. Just another woman expected to endure anxiety, discomfort, and danger to avoid offending the status quo.

The Disc Golf Pro Tour praised her right to protest but rejected her safety claims. No rule was broken, they said. But that’s the problem: the rules themselves are broken. And until they’re fixed, women like Wilson will keep walking away from a sport they love.

‘Disc Golf’

Disc golf.jpg - Wikimedia Commons
Disc golf.jpg – Wikimedia Commons

Disc golf—sometimes called frisbee golf, is a sport where players throw a flying disc (similar to a frisbee) at a target, usually a metal basket with hanging chains that catch the disc. The goal is to complete each hole in the fewest number of throws, much like traditional golf.

Instead of golf clubs and balls, players use different types of discs for driving, approaching, and putting. The game is typically played on outdoor courses with 9 or 18 holes, and players follow fairways and “par” like in regular golf.

Women Walking Out to Be Heard

Abigail Wilson is not alone. In recent years, walkouts by female athletes have become a desperate but necessary tactic to draw attention to their erasure. In American fencing, a female athlete was disqualified after ‘taking a knee’ rather than compete against a trans opponent. In pool, Lynne Pinches chose to forfeit a championship. In powerlifting, swimming, and cycling, similar acts of protest are mounting.

These are not women afraid to lose. These are women who know they cannot win — not in a game rigged from the start. And so they walk, because staying would mean endorsing a lie: that male and female bodies are interchangeable, that feelings override facts.

The backlash to these protests is telling. Female athletes are called transphobic, accused of bigotry, and shunned by their governing bodies. They are punished for asking for what every male athlete takes for granted — a fair competition.

Protests like Wilson’s are a warning shot. If sports bodies do not listen to the women in their ranks, they will lose them. And when women stop showing up, what’s left of women’s sport?

In pool, women are now competing for second place before they even chalk their cues. In disc golf, they enter tournaments under the shadow of unfairness and fear. In athletics, records are being shattered by biological males — and the women who speak up are punished while the system shrugs.

For decades, women fought for protected categories to ensure fair competition and opportunity. Now, those safeguards are being dismantled, not by better female players — but by men who claim to be women.

Sports are not just games. They are cultural mirrors. And right now, that mirror is cracking, showing us a reflection that no longer includes women.

What Comes Next?

The final in Wigan should have been a celebration of female excellence. Instead, it was a spectacle of ideological overreach. But moments like these are waking people up. The backlash, from the public and former athletes, shows a growing demand for change.

Women must be heard. Governing bodies must draw a clear line: sex matters. Self-identification cannot and must not override biological reality in sex-segregated sport. Legal frameworks need to be clarified to protect fairness — not just feelings.

Abigail Wilson’s stand, Lynne Pinches’ walkout, and the uproar in pool halls across the UK are not isolated. They are the early tremors of a movement reclaiming the ground women once won. The question now is whether sporting authorities will listen — or whether women will have to keep walking off the field to make their point.

Because the endgame of trans ideology in sport is clear: if left unchecked, it won’t just rewrite the rulebook — it will write women out of it completely.

Covid-19: ‘Criminals’ Dragged Through Courts Five Years Later

Covid-19 Jab

Covid-19 Jab

A new investigation by the Telegraph. has revealed that ordinary citizens are still being prosecuted for alleged Covid regulation breaches, years after pandemic restrictions were officially lifted.

The findings have raised fresh concerns about the enduring legacy of emergency powers and what Christian Voice describe as continued authoritarian overreach.

According to the report, more than 130 people have appeared in court over the past six months for infractions tied to outdated Covid rules—many of which were unclear or inconsistently enforced at the time.

This relentless pursuit of individuals for minor infractions underscores a government more interested in control than justice.

Isaiah 10:1 Woe to those who make unjust laws, to those who issue oppressive decrees.

The Perversion of Justice

One of those fined exorbitantly for a simple misunderstanding of convoluted regulations was Dodi Wexler, 55, an American expat who has lived in the UK for the past 25 years.

In December 2020, Mrs. Wexler and her three teenage sons travelled to Massachusetts for what was meant to be a brief Christmas holiday. However, their return was unexpectedly halted when the UK entered its third national lockdown in January 2021, effectively trapping the family abroad.

It wasn’t until March, after the easing of restrictions, that they were finally able to make their way back to the UK—having tested negative for Covid-19 via PCR tests conducted on February 26th in Manchester-by-the-Sea, Massachusetts.

The judiciary, rather than serving as a bulwark against tyranny, appears complicit in perpetuating these injustices.

With an average of 11 people still being sentenced monthly for coronavirus offences well into 2024, the courts have become instruments of state-sanctioned persecution.

This perversion of justice betrays a fundamental abandonment of moral and ethical principles.

Psalm 9:16 The Lord is known by his acts of justice; the wicked are ensnared by the work of their hands.

The Deception of the Masses

The Covid-19 pandemic has been exploited to propagate fear and manipulate the populace into compliance.

Government narratives, amplified by complicit media, have sown division and suppressed dissenting voices. This deception has led to widespread acceptance of draconian measures under the guise of public health.

Matthew 24:24For false messiahs and false prophets will appear and perform great signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect.

Shockingly, some religious leaders have aligned themselves with oppressive state mandates, betraying their sacred duty to uphold truth and protect their congregations.

Figures like the Archbishop of Canterbury, Justin Welby have framed vaccination as a moral imperative, coercing the faithful into compliance and stifling legitimate ethical and theological debate.

The Erosion of Civil Liberties

The introduction and enforcement of vaccine passports and mandates represent a significant erosion of civil liberties.

These measures create a two-tier society, discriminating against those who exercise their right to bodily autonomy. Such coercive tactics are antithetical to the principles of freedom and equality.

The Bible says,
Galatians 5:1 It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery.

In the face of such pervasive injustice and deception, there is a clarion call for righteous resistance. Christians are compelled to stand against tyranny, advocate for truth, and protect the vulnerable from exploitation.

Ephesians 5:11 Have nothing to do with the fruitless deeds of darkness, but rather expose them.

The Unjust Targeting of Faithful Christians.

The prolonged legal actions against individuals for alleged Covid rule breaches have disproportionately affected Christians who sought to practice their faith.

This selective enforcement reveals a troubling bias against religious communities, undermining the principles of justice and equality.

Meanwhile, the introduction of vaccine passports has raised significant ethical concerns, particularly among Christians who view them as a form of discrimination and control. These measures not only infringe upon personal liberties but also create a divided society, contradicting the Biblical call for unity and love among neighbours.

Galatians 3:28 There is neither Jew nor Gentile, neither slave nor free, nor is there male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus.

The Suppression of Dissenting Voices

Media regulators have penalised Christian broadcasters for disseminating content that questions mainstream narratives.

For instance, LoveWorld was fined £25,000 by Ofcom for airing content that questioned mainstream narratives.
This suppression of dissenting voices stifles free speech and undermines the pursuit of truth, which is central to Christian teaching.

Have nothing to do with the fruitless deeds of darkness, but rather expose them. — Ephesians 5:11

In the meantime, climate of fear during the pandemic has been exploited by political leaders to advance agendas that do not align with Christian values. For example, Jacinda Ardern’s stringent policies and subsequent recognition by the British monarchy raise questions about the motivations behind such honours and the potential for political opportunism.

The Bible says,
Isaiah 5:20 Woe to those who call evil good and good evil, who put darkness for light and light for darkness.

The Church’s Role in Upholding Truth

The alignment of some church leaders with state narratives, such as the Archbishop of Canterbury labelling vaccination as a “moral issue,” raises concerns about the church’s independence and commitment to biblical truth. The church must critically assess its role and ensure it remains a beacon of truth and righteousness.

As the book of Matthew 6:24 says,
No one can serve two masters. Either you will hate the one and love the other, or you will be devoted to the one and despise the other.

As believers, it is imperative to critically assess the narratives presented to us and stand firm in our convictions. The coercive measures and prolonged prosecutions related to Covid-19 challenge our commitment to justice, freedom, and truth. We must navigate these times with discernment, ensuring that our actions reflect our faith and the teachings of Christ.

1 Corinthians 16:13 Be on your guard; stand firm in the faith; be courageous; be strong.

Nursery bars ‘Transphobic’ toddler

A three-year-old child has been suspended from a nursery for alleged ‘transphobia’ or ‘homophobia.’ Let that sink in.

A toddler barely able to form full sentences, has been accused of discriminating against an ideology they cannot possibly comprehend. The absurdity of this cannot be overstated.

Department for Education (DfE) statistics reveal that 94 primary school pupils faced suspension or expulsion for similar allegations in the 2022-23 academic year, including ten Year One pupils and three in Year Two, the eldest of whom were merely seven. This isn’t just madness, it is an ideological crusade against innocence.

This is not an isolated case. We have seen the same zealotry in action before, a six-year-old in Scotland interrogated for refusing to use ‘preferred pronouns’ and a ten-year-old in England punished for writing that ‘boys are boys and girls are girls.’ Schools have ceased to be places of education; they are now re-education camps for radical ideology.

Isaiah 5:20 Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!

Stop Transgenderism Now!

Teachers and governors- have they lost their minds?

What on earth is happening to teachers and school governors? Have they completely lost touch with reality?

Is it the endless ‘inclusivity’ and ‘diversity’ courses they are forced to attend? Have they been so indoctrinated by radical activism that they now see children as ideological enemies?

We have seen teachers dismissing pupils for questioning transgender ideology, governors sacking staff for standing up for Christian beliefs, and entire schools collapsing under the weight of their own ideological contradictions.

Who benefits from this insanity? Certainly not the children, whose early education is being traumatically disrupted.

Helen Joyce of Sex Matters rightly condemned this disgrace, saying: “Teachers and school leaders involved in this insanity should be ashamed of themselves for projecting adult concepts onto young children.” Yet they are not ashamed. They are doubling down.

1 Corinthians 3:19 For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God. For it is written, He taketh the wise in their own craftiness.

Ban God, believe anything

This lunacy is the direct result of the systematic removal of God from the classroom. Evolutionary dogma has replaced divine truth, leaving a vacuum that is now filled with the gospel of ‘gender identity’ and ‘social justice.’

G.K. Chesterton famously said, “When men choose not to believe in God, they do not thereafter believe in nothing, they then become capable of believing in anything.” This is precisely what we are witnessing: adults who have abandoned biblical truth are now willing to believe and enforce the most ridiculous ideas, even to the detriment of children.

The legal requirement for a daily act of Christian worship in state schools is routinely ignored. Humanists have long campaigned against it, and we see the results: a godless system that teaches children not to believe in nothing, but to believe in everything except the truth.

Psalm 14:1 The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that doeth good.

The rise of home education

More and more parents are turning to home-schooling, and who can blame them? When schools suspend toddlers for ‘wrongthink,’ when teachers preach gender ideology instead of phonics, when children are punished for adhering to basic biology, parents have no choice but to take back control of their children’s education.

The government, of course, is panicking. It is considering the Children’s Well-being and Schools Bill,’ which aims to increase oversight of home education. The possibility of a ‘register’ of home-schooled children looms large, likely to be used as a tool for state interference.

Will backbenchers sneak in an amendment that further clamps down on parental freedom? That remains to be seen, but the trend is clear: the state is desperate to keep control over children’s minds.

Proverbs 22:6 Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it

Ask us to come and speak at your church →

Five-year-olds expelled for violence—a convenient excuse?

The same authorities suspending toddlers for ‘transphobia’ are also expelling five-year-olds for ‘violence’ against teachers. But what does ‘violence’ mean in this context? A tantrum? A thrown toy? A refusal to obey? This vague, overreaching definition serves a dual purpose: to justify removing ‘difficult’ children from the system and to fuel the narrative of ‘toxic masculinity’ even in infancy.

We saw similar absurdities in 2018 when a four-year-old boy was labelled a ‘sexual threat’ for hugging a teacher. In another case, a six-year-old was expelled for calling his classmate a ‘she’ instead of ‘they.’

It is clear that modern schools are no longer fit for purpose. They are not educating; they are indoctrinating.

Proverbs 13:24 He that spareth his rod hateth his son: but he that loveth him chasteneth him betimes.

A nation’s madness

Picture the scene: The Education Secretary, flanked by the Schools Minister and the soon-to-be Baroness former head of Ofsted, standing at a press conference, solemnly discussing the latest initiative to ensure “inclusive” education.

Meanwhile, in a brightly coloured nursery classroom, a bewildered three-year-old clutches their toy dinosaur, blissfully unaware that they are about to be exiled for supposed “transphobia.” The headteacher, holding  an Equality and Diversity handbook, delivers the verdict: “We take discrimination seriously.” The child, whose crime may have been an innocent remark or a refusal to play make-believe under ideological demands is cast out, one of the youngest casualties of a system gone mad.

This, of course, took place just weeks after another February drenched in ideological fanaticism, as schools across Britain observed LGBT History Month with the usual fervour. Assemblies were held, lessons were rewritten, and small children were subjected to lectures on gender identity before they could even master their times tables. Parents who dared to question the content were dismissed as bigots, while teachers who expressed concern were silenced.

The battle for our children’s future

This is not just a battle for common sense. It is a battle for truth itself. If the state can dictate ideology to a three-year-old, then no one is safe. If teachers can expel children for questioning lies, then our society is on the brink of collapse.

It is time for parents to push back. To demand accountability. To insist that schools return to education rather than indoctrination. To resist attempts by government to register and regulate home-schooling into oblivion.

The enemy of truth has captured our institutions. If we do not reclaim them now, we may soon find that we have lost an entire generation.

John 8:32 And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.

MPs will be shielded from council tax

2

UK Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer knew Axel Rudakubana was an Islamic terrorist from the start.
UK Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer.

MPs will be shielded from the very council tax premium on second homes that they voted to impose on the public, in a move that smacks of double standards.

As ordinary homeowners brace for eye-watering tax hikes on inherited and additional properties, MPs have conveniently secured a taxpayer-funded escape route.

From this month, town halls will be able to slap a 100% surcharge on second homes, with thousands of homeowners now facing ruinous bills. But MPs? Their accommodation budgets have been “uplifted by a significant amount” to absorb the extra charge—meaning the taxpayer, once again, picks up the tab.

Leaked email lays bare the shameless scheme

A leaked email to MPs from the Independent Parliamentary Standards Authority (IPSA), exposed by The Telegraph, spells it out plainly.

IPSA informed MPs that their budget had been substantially increased “to mitigate the additional charge”, ensuring they won’t feel the sting of their own policy.

And if that generous boost isn’t enough? No worries. IPSA is “happy to discuss contingency” to make sure MPs never have to dig into their own pockets. Meanwhile, ordinary Britons are opening bills demanding up to £10,000 extra, struggling to understand how they will afford it.

A tax for the poor, A get-out clause for the powerful

Over two-thirds of English councils have introduced this levy, arguing it’s necessary to fill budget shortfalls.

Regular homeowners—many of whom never planned to own a second property but inherited one—are being hammered with bills they simply can’t pay.

But MPs, including many who voted for these new charges, have quietly ensured they’ll never have to suffer the consequences. Instead, their burden is conveniently shifted onto the same taxpayers who are already being squeezed dry.

Public outrage: ‘It’s extortion’

Across the country, homeowners are furious. Telegraph Money has been inundated with complaints from those who say they feel “extorted” by their local councils. Families who have inherited modest properties, or saved for a second home as a future nest egg, now face devastating financial hits.

John O’Connell of the Taxpayers’ Alliance summed up the anger, saying: “This will only pour salt in the wounds of those homeowners now facing 100% premiums just for having the temerity to own a second home.”

But for MPs? No such worries. They are neatly shielded from the financial pain, despite being the architects of this policy.

Labour ministers among the biggest beneficiaries

This isn’t a one-off scandal—it’s been happening for years. Earlier this year, it was revealed that Rachel Reeves, the Chancellor, had claimed £10,800 of taxpayers’ money over five years to cover her second home council tax bill. And she’s far from alone.

At least 41 Labour Ministers—including Education Secretary Bridget Phillipson and Business Secretary Jonathan Reynolds—have routinely claimed this expense back, ensuring they never personally feel the impact of rising council tax costs.

Broken trust, broken system

The outrage isn’t just about the money—it’s about the principle. MPs are meant to serve the public, not exploit the system for personal financial gain. The fact that they have insulated themselves from the consequences of their own policies while forcing everyone else to pay up is a betrayal of trust.

If MPs truly believed in the fairness of this new tax, they would pay it themselves—just like everyone else. Instead, they have chosen to dump their financial responsibilities onto the very taxpayers they claim to represent.

It’s yet another example of a broken system where politicians make the rules, but never have to live by them.

Christian nurse sues NHS over gender row

Jennifer Melle takes legal action against her NHS Trust over allegations of harassment, discrimination, and breaches of her human rights. The Sun
Jennifer Melle takes legal action against her NHS Trust over allegations of harassment, discrimination, and breaches of her human rights.

A Christian nurse has launched legal action against her NHS Trust, alleging harassment, discrimination, and breaches of her human rights,  according to the Telegraph.

Jennifer Melle from Croydon alleges that she was unfairly targeted and punished for refusing to conform to NHS policies on gender identity, which she says conflict with both biological reality and her religious convictions.

The 40-year-old, faced threats and racial abuse after addressing a convicted paedophile according to biological reality.

Instead of supporting her, Epsom and St Helier University Hospital Trust sided with the offender. The Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) now considers her a ‘potential risk’ for not affirming Mr X’s chosen gender identity.

Her case, supported by Christian Legal Centre, argues that the NHS Trust violated the Equality Act 2010 and her rights under human rights law.

Stop Transgenderism Now!

Christian convictions versus NHS policy

On 22 May 2024, Jennifer began her shift under the shadow of the Pride Progress Flag flying above the hospital. Mr X, a convicted paedophile from a men’s prison, was admitted under guard.

His file listed him as male, yet a feminine name appeared on the bedside chart. When Jennifer referred to him as ‘Mr X’ while speaking to a doctor, the patient erupted in rage.

“Do not call me Mr! I am a woman!” he screamed. Despite her calm response, the situation escalated.

The offender, currently in a high-security male prison, was jailed for luring boys into sexual acts while posing as a teenage girl on social media.

Return to the UK’s Christian Constitution →

Abuse, threats, and institutional betrayal

Jennifer attempted to de-escalate tensions while standing firm in her beliefs. She politely stated that her Christian faith prevented her from lying about biological sex.

Mr X responded with racial slurs: “Imagine if I called you n*****!” He lunged at her aggressively before being restrained.

Despite this attack, hospital management showed no concern for Jennifer’s safety. Instead, she was later warned for failing to adhere to “equality and diversity” policies.

Support NCCSS / Christian Voice →

Punished for upholding truth

Following the incident, Jennifer was forced to provide a statement and later summoned to a disciplinary hearing. She was given a final written warning and referred to the NMC.

An investigation report subsequently concluded that: ‘the Code of Conduct outlines that in order to treat people as individuals and to uphold their dignity nurses should avoid making assumptions and should recognise Diversity and individual choice.’

The report cited the NMC Code of Conduct which states that nurses should ‘not express your personal beliefs (including political, religious or moral beliefs) in an inappropriate way. Therefore, although [Jennifer] felt unable to identity Patient X using the preferred pronouns due to her religion, as outlined in the NMC Code of Conduct, it could be perceived that [Jennifer’s] actions could…be seen as a potential breach of the code.’

She was accused of ‘not respecting the patient’s preferred identity’ and told her actions and behaviour had ‘fallen short of the Trust’s value of Respect’.

In the meantime, her shifts have been cut and her name erased from internal systems. The NHS has backed an abusive criminal over a dedicated nurse with an unblemished record.

In Matthew 5:10, Jesus says, Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness’ sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

State-enforced speech and religious freedom

Miss Melle’s case is part of a growing trend where NHS staff face discipline for rejecting gender ideology.

In 2019, Dr. David Mackereth, a Christian doctor, lost his job at the Department for Work and Pensions for refusing to use pronouns contrary to biological sex.

The tribunal ruled that his belief in Genesis 1:27—”male and female he created them”—was “incompatible with human dignity.” Similar cases expose the erosion of religious liberty in public institutions.

In Scotland, nurse Sandie Peggie faced suspension and disciplinary action after objecting to sharing a female-only changing room with Dr. Beth Upton, a transgender colleague at Victoria Hospital in Fife.

Meanwhile, student midwife at Edinburgh Napier University, Spencer was suspended from her training placement with NHS Fife after discussing her pro-life views in a private Facebook group for trainee midwives. Despite Sara Spencer being cleared of wrongdoing, she continued to face warnings about her social media activity, leading to concerns about potential discrimination in her future career.

Silencing Christian professionals

Jennifer’s ordeal mirrors the case of Maya Forstater, a tax expert who lost her job for stating that “sex is real, immutable and binary.”

Though she later won her tribunal appeal, the ruling did little to protect others. The culture of compelled speech remains deeply embedded in institutions.

The Bible warns of times when truth-tellers will face persecution. Jennifer’s experience is further evidence of that reality.

2 Timothy 4:3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears.

Meanwhile, Christian Voice has been vocal in criticising the NHS over alleged discrimination against staff who reject woke ideology, including Jennifer.

A retired pastor from Northern Ireland is facing prosecution for preaching the Gospel in an open-air Sunday service near Coleraine’s Causeway Hospital.

Despite Clive Johnston not mentioning abortion, nor directly engaging with patients or staff, the 76-year-old has been charged under the Abortion Services (Safe Access Zones) Act.

This troubling case raises urgent concerns about the erosion of religious freedom in the UK, where preaching a core Christian message, as enshrined in John 3:16, can now be conflated with unlawful protest.

The Bible says,
Isaiah 5:20 Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!

The slippery slope of censorship laws

The law used against Mr Johnston was introduced to prevent harassment outside abortion facilities, but his arrest demonstrates how such legislation can be weaponised to silence lawful, peaceful expression.

This mirrors the case of street preacher David McConnell, convicted in 2023 for offending a listener by quoting biblical views on homosexuality.

Though the judge later acknowledged a misinterpretation of the law, his conviction highlights the growing criminalisation of traditional Christian beliefs in public spaces.

Our Lord said:
John 8:32 And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.

Return to the UK’s Christian Constitution →

A lawful gathering branded as protest

Despite standing on the fringes of the so-called buffer zone, separated from the hospital by a dual carriageway, Mr Johnston was charged with seeking to “influence” people accessing abortion services.

Yet, how can a simple act of Christian worship, without reference to abortion, be reasonably considered a protest?

This recalls the case of American evangelist, Tony Miano, who was arrested in Dundee Scotland, for mentioning homosexuality among a list of sexual sins. The former police officer and chaplain with the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department was later released.

If personal conviction and lawful speech are now interpreted as “influence” or “harm,” the UK risks becoming a society where even silent dissent is punishable.

Freedom of religion in jeopardy

The Christian Voice has rightly questioned whether a law designed to prevent intimidation should be used to criminalise an elderly man playing hymns on a ukulele.

The issue at hand is far broader than one man’s court case; it is about whether the state has the authority to determine where and how faith can be expressed.

In a country where police have arrested individuals for silently praying near abortion clinics — as seen in the case of Isabel Vaughan-Spruce in Birmingham — the trend is clear.

Acts 5:29 Then Peter and the other apostles answered and said, We ought to obey God rather than men.

Public space and the double standard of expression

If preaching the love of God is now deemed an act of undue influence, then what of those who promote secular ideologies in public spaces? Activists for gender ideology, environmental groups, and political campaigners regularly use public areas to promote their views without interference.

Why, then, does Christian expression warrant a different standard? In 2019, Felix Ngole was expelled from his university course for expressing a biblical view on marriage.

His subsequent legal victory proved that Christian beliefs are protected, yet cases like Mr Johnston’s suggest authorities have not learned their lesson.

Politicians must clarify their intentions

The architects of the buffer zone law never openly stated that it could be used to ban religious gatherings, yet its application in this case suggests otherwise.

The Christian Voice has urged lawmakers to clarify their stance , but will they? If politicians truly believe in free speech, they must ensure the law is not misused to suppress it.

Otherwise, the UK will continue down a path where dissenting voices, particularly those of Christians, are censored under the guise of “safety.”

Timothy 1:7 For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.

The wider implications for Christian freedom

Mr Johnston’s prosecution is a stark warning to all believers. If a pensioner can be hauled before the courts for preaching a message of salvation, what does that mean for other forms of Christian witness?

If the authorities can so easily manipulate laws to suppress religious speech, how long before entire denominations face legal consequences for adhering to biblical doctrine? This is a defining moment for the UK’s religious liberties.

Jeremiah 1:8 Be not afraid of their faces: for I am with thee to deliver thee, saith the Lord.
Christians must stand firm, lest silence be mistaken for consent to the erosion of their freedoms.

Boris Johnson announces lockdown on 23rd March 2025

This week marks the fifth anniversary of the infamous UK Covid ‘Lockdown’.

Then Prime Minister Boris Johnson made his fateful announcement on Monday 23rd March 2025. The measures, to ‘Stay Home, Protect the NHS, Save Lives,’ had been voluntary for the previous week. Now they were to be enforced by the Coronavirus Act 2020, which gained Royal Assent on 25th March and came into force on Thursday 26th. (See this timeline.)

Professor Neil Ferguson had published his computer modelling a week earlier, predicting ‘hundreds of thousands of deaths’. Despite his history of false prophecies, the mainstream media were now calling for ‘something to be done’. Following the politician’s fallacy, lockdown was ‘something’, therefore, they felt obliged to do it.

Forsaking the meeting

As Christian Voice reported just two weeks later, ‘the entire travel, leisure, hospitality, High Street and educational sectors (were) shut down, with knock-on effects all over the United Kingdom.’ Churches duly followed, with the meeting together, especially in times of trouble, as commended by scripture abandoned by terrified bishops of the Church of England:

Heb 10:25 Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.

Some pastors courageously fought back. Nationally, Christian Voice was the only Christian ministry to oppose lockdown right from the start. From the second week, with the Lord’s leading, we were urging ‘the immediate lifting of the lockdown so that people can salvage the wreckage of their jobs and businesses and get back to providing for their families.’

Who is proved right now?

Brighton, UK 10th April 2020 A police officer asks members of the public to leave the beach.
Brighton, UK 10th April 2020 A police officer asks members of the public to leave the beach.

That stance was not popular, even amongst supposed believers. I had church ministers phoning me up and telling me we were doing the devil’s work by condemning lockdown, which they saw as a perfectly legitimate public-health measure.

Who is proved right now? The UK was plunged into our worst recession since the Great Frost of 1709. And even without the benefit of hindsight, was lockdown ever reasonable or legitimate? Telling people not to go outdoors? Authoritarian police in Brighton clearing people off the beach? Derbyshire police employing drones to check no ‘Covidiot’ was out and about on the fells of the Peak District?

The adverse health and social effects of lack of exercise and socialisation, of depressed immune systems, of missed hospital appointments and screenings for disease, all enforced enthusiastically by the establishment, with stricter measures in schools called for out of sheer self interest by teachers’ unions, for example, will be felt for years.

More to the point, was it ever scriptural?

The Gift of God

Lockdown happened because our politicians, officials and church leaders left off to take heed to the Lord. Remember, wisdom comes from above. Stupidity comes from the world, the flesh or the devil, or as judgment.

If they had consulted the Lord in his word, our elites would have found in two places in the book of Ecclesiastes that to eat and drink and enjoy the good of your labour, indeed to rejoice in it, was the gift of God:

Eccl 3:13 And also that every man should eat and drink, and enjoy the good of all his labour, it is the gift of God.
Eccl 5:19 Every man also to whom God hath given riches and wealth, and hath given him power to eat thereof, and to take his portion, and to rejoice in his labour; this is the gift of God.

In the psalms they would have read that:
Psa 104:23 Man goeth forth unto his work and to his labour until the evening.

Businesses designated ‘non-essential’

So they would have concluded, as we did, that what Almighty God has ordained, and described as his gift, the ability to work and enjoy the fruits of your labour, no government on earth has the power to forbid.

Indeed, no government in the history of the world had ever before done such a thing. They have subjected people to slavery, but never before had they told their people not to work and paid them billions from taxpayers’ money and government borrowing to stay at home and do nothing.

We wrote at the time: ‘The millions affected do not want tax-payer-funded bail-outs. They want their jobs and businesses back.’

As for designating some economic activity as non-essential, how did they dare do that? The billion-pound beauty industry, laughed at by MPs when William Wragg asked a question about it in Parliament on 1st July 2020, is and was essential both for the families of beauticians and for hairdressers, and for the ladies who would go every week to have their hair done.

The clothing industry was essential for thousands of families in the developing world who made clothes for the likes of Primark. Both, indeed all the so-called non-essential businesses, were legitimate economic activity.

Project Fear and love of money

The Covid briefings were part of 'Project Fear' to instill compliance
The Covid briefings were part of ‘Project Fear’ to instill compliance

I could go on to remind you of the elderly people locked up in care homes, forbidden to see their nearest and dearest. The complete idiocy of the police scouring shopping trolleys to check no-one had bought an Easter egg. Or taking a homeless man to court for leaving his home.

Then, as lockdown went on, Project Fear stepped up and we had the enforced wearing of ineffective, oppressive, dehumanising facemasks. The ludicrous and widespread use, even to this day, of anti-bacterial hand-sanitisers against an airborne virus. Even in church, believers forgot the words of the Lord:

John 14:27 Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.

And of course, huge pharmaceutical companies seized the opportunity to make billions out of useless pseudo-vaccines imposed on those who were at next to no risk from the Covid anyway. And of course, the bodies set up to regulate them being stuffed with industry insiders and shareholders.

As it is written:
1Tim 6:10 For the love of money is the root of all evil:

No ‘Reckoning’ without a miracle

An article on Spiked Online from their deputy editor, Fraser Myers, is headed: ‘Lockdown: a reckoning’, but the truth is, there will be no reckoning without a miracle of repentance among our entire elite.

The UK’s Covid Enquiry has shut down any discussion of whether lockdown was a reasonable response to the Covid, only arguing over whether it was strict enough, or brought in early enough. The Enquiry refused to discuss, let alone affirm, the first-dismissed and now-accepted conclusion that the virus was genetically engineered in and then escaped from, Wuhan’s Institute of Virology.

Five years ago, a stupid, frightened, arrogant Government oppressed the population by denying folk the ability to earn and the freedom to go out of doors, contrary to scripture:.

Lev 25:17 Ye shall not therefore oppress one another; but thou shalt fear thy God: for I am the LORD your God.

They deprived men and women of their wages, a sin which cries to heaven:

James 5:4 Behold, the hire of the labourers who have reaped down your fields, which is of you kept back by fraud, crieth: and the cries of them which have reaped are entered into the ears of the Lord of sabaoth.

The spiritual dimension

New York State Supreme Courthouse: Good government depends on justice
New York State Supreme Courthouse: Good government depends on justice

Above all, they brought in measures which were clearly unjust but which were embraced by the godless media, accepted by a fearful people and enforced by the police and the courts with power-hungry enthusiasm.

The Bible says of God:
Psa 89:14 Justice and judgment are the habitation of thy throne: mercy and truth shall go before thy face.

Human government is intended by the Almighty to follow that principle. There is a spiritual dimension to justice. The New York courthouse features a quote by George Washington, saying: ‘the due administration of justice is the firmest pillar of good government’.

Justice flew out of the window five years ago and good government followed it. We shall be paying for it, and without a miracle feeling the effects in society of it, for generations to come. The lesson to be learned is that we must do things God’s way. That requires us to pray for those who lead us, constantly witness to them, and hope in faith for a miracle of repentance in them.

Elite let criminals choose gender

Judicial Corruption: A Moral, Social, and Political Rot - Republic Policy

Judicial Corruption: A Moral, Social, and Political Rot – Republic Policy

Criminals are permitted to self-identify their gender in official records, as the government refuses to act on the recommendations of an independent review.

The review led by Professor Alice Sullivan, from University College London  urged police to document biological sex rather than declared gender identity. The report also emphasised the urgent need for accurate crime data, warning that failing to record biological sex skews statistics and undermines efforts to tackle male violence against women.

Despite these concerns, the Government has opted to ignore the findings, allowing ideological policies to take precedence over public safety.

The report called on Yvette Cooper, the Home Secretary, to issue a mandatory directive requiring all police forces in England and Wales to register offenders based on sex rather than subjective identity claims.

However, no such order has been forthcoming, leaving the justice system mired in confusion and placing women at increased risk.

Stop Transgenderism Now!

Return to the UK’s Christian Constitution →

Beyond the prison walls

Beyond the prison walls, the implications of this policy ripple through policing. Officers are required to record self-declared identities rather than biological facts, skewing crime statistics and eroding trust in law enforcement.

Experts insist that public institutions, including the police and NHS, must record biological sex to ensure accuracy in crime data, medical treatment, and safeguarding.

Women’s groups have repeatedly warned that policies permitting male criminals to claim a female identity provide a loophole for predators. Yet, these concerns are dismissed as ‘bigotry’ by those who claim to champion inclusivity while wilfully ignoring its dire consequences.

Such reckless governance contradicts the principles of justice enshrined in the scripture.

The Bible says,
Proverbs 17:15 He that justifieth the wicked, and he that condemneth the just, Even they both are abomination to the LORD.

The inquiry highlights how permitting self-identification in criminal records obscures the true scale of male violence against women, making meaningful interventions impossible. A system that protects offenders at the expense of victims invites chaos, not justice.

NHS Sacrifices truth for ideology

The health service, already struggling under immense pressure, has also succumbed to gender identity policies that contradict medical reality.

Doctors and nurses are expected to treat patients based on “self-identification”, even when it leads to incorrect diagnoses and inappropriate treatment. Critical procedures rely on biological differences, yet staff are discouraged from acknowledging them.

Ignoring biological sex in medical records undermines patient safety. Women’s health data becomes unreliable, diseases that affect males and females differently are misrepresented, and safeguarding concerns are ignored.

The Bible says,
Romans 1:25 Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen.

Trade unions or women’s rights?

Tom Harris exposes the growing conflict within the Labour movement, as the party is forced to choose between defending women’s rights or appeasing trade unions that champion extreme gender ideology. The government, once a defender of working-class women, now finds itself paralysed by competing demands.

Union leaders insist that gender self-identification must be protected at all costs, even when it threatens sex-based protections.

Meanwhile, feminists and campaigners demand action against policies that allow male-bodied individuals into female-only spaces. Keir Starmer’s refusal to take a decisive stance highlights this government’s growing irrelevance to the very people it claims to represent.

Psalm 82:3-4 Defend the poor and fatherless: do justice to the afflicted and needy…Deliver the poor and needy: rid them out of the hand of the wicked.

Starmer’s leadership paralysis

Sir Keir Starmer’s handling of the gender debate has been one of avoidance, not leadership. His reluctance to challenge radical activism has left his party floundering, with no clear position on a fundamental issue.

Women’s rights advocates demand clarity, while his party’s activist wing pushes for total self-identification policies. He satisfies neither.

This indecision is not only a political miscalculation—it is a failure of duty. A prospective leader must provide direction, yet Sir Starmer evades difficult conversations, fearing backlash from trade unions and activists. His strategy of appeasement will not hold as the election looms and public frustration grows.

Proverbs 29:25 The fear of man bringeth a snare: but whoso putteth his trust in the Lord shall be safe.

A government that shirks its duty to protect the vulnerable for fear of political fallout is unworthy of power.

A nation at a crossroads

Britain must now decide whether it will uphold truth or continue down a path of ideological self-destruction. The choice is not between inclusion and exclusion, but between facts and fiction.

If woke gender policies remain unchallenged, justice will continue to be compromised, medical integrity will be undermined, and public confidence in leadership will collapse.

The next government, regardless of political affiliation, must undo the damage caused by these reckless policies.

Biological sex must be reinstated as a critical factor in law, healthcare, and data collection. No government that enables deception should be allowed to remain in power.

Ecclesiastes 10:2 says, The heart of the wise inclines to the right, but the heart of the fool to the left.

Migrant convicted of sexual assault to remain in the UK following gay claims

A Pakistani man convicted of sexual assault has been allowed to remain in Britain after claiming he was gay, despite providing no evidence, according to the Telegraph.

The 53-year-old had been living illegally in the UK for 11 years before making the claim.

The Pakistani national, identified only as MR, arrived in the UK on a student visa in 2006 but remained illegally after it expired that same year. His initial bid to stay on human rights grounds in 2012 was rejected

In 2017, he was arrested and later convicted for sexually assaulting a woman by touching. A month after his conviction, he claimed asylum, citing fears of persecution in Pakistan if he were deported.

Despite pleading guilty, MR insisted he was innocent and also claimed he was in a “same-sex relationship.”

In April last year, an immigration court granted him refugee status on human rights grounds. However, the Home Office has since launched a fresh challenge, and his case will now be reconsidered.

Legal oversight enables stay

The Home Office initially dismissed his claim, stating it “did not accept he was living in the UK as a gay man.” The asylum tribunal, however, allowed him to stay despite the absence of supporting evidence.

Due to procedural errors, officials failed to contest his claim effectively, and the decision stood unchallenged. His sexual orientation was taken at face value, overriding his criminal record and illegal status. It is unclear whether new evidence will be presented in the upcoming proceedings.

Meanwhile, former Home Secretary Suella Braverman refused MR’s asylum application, citing a lack of proof of any genuine same-sex relationship. However, the legal process ultimately overturned her decision.

Pattern of exploited loopholes

This case is one of many where foreign criminals have successfully used human rights claims to prevent deportation. Loopholes in asylum laws continue to obstruct removals despite serious criminal convictions.

Past cases have included an Albanian who avoided deportation after arguing his child disliked foreign chicken nuggets. Another involved a convicted paedophile who remained in the UK because deportation would be “unduly harsh” on his family.

The European Convention on Human Rights (ECHR) has been widely cited in these cases, raising concerns over its role in preventing removals of serious offenders.

Gender identity: A new shield for criminals?

Isla Bryson: Transgender rapist in women's jail 'raises safety fears' | Clydebank Post
Isla Bryson: Transgender rapist in women’s jail ‘raises safety fears’ | Clydebank Post

The UK’s justice system is increasingly allowing offenders to evade accountability the moment gender identity is invoked. Courts and institutions, fearing accusations of discrimination, have granted leniency to individuals who suddenly identify as transgender after committing serious crimes.

Adam Graham, now known as Isla Bryson, was convicted of raping two women but only declared a female identity after being charged. Instead of facing justice in a male prison, Mr Graham was initially placed in a women’s facility, sparking national outrage.

This is not an isolated case. Child sex offender Katie Dolatowski, a biological male, was convicted of assaulting young girls in supermarket toilets but was spared prison and placed in female-only accommodation.

Gender card for access

In Canada,, Christopher Hambrook exploited self-identification policies to gain access to women’s shelters, where he preyed on vulnerable women.

The trend reveals a growing loophole where individuals claim “transgender identities” to manipulate the system, avoid harsher sentencing, or gain access to spaces that should be protected.

The issue extends beyond sex offenders. Violent criminals, such as Barbie Kardashian in Ireland, who has a history of extreme violence against women, have been housed in female prisons despite clear risks.

The justice system appears more focused on political correctness than public safety. Instead of ensuring that justice is served, authorities are enabling dangerous individuals to weaponise gender identity for personal gain, undermining both legal integrity and the rights of real victims.

The government’s immigration crisis

As of December 2024, the UK faced a significant backlog of 41,987 asylum appeals, marking a nearly 500% increase from the 7,173 cases pending at the start of 2023.

A significant number involve asylum seekers citing human rights breaches to avoid deportation.

Sir Keir Starmer has pledged to close loopholes that have enabled questionable claims, such as a Gaza family entering the UK via a Ukrainian refugee scheme. However, the question is whether real action will follow?

Legal experts warn that unless the system is reformed, criminals and overstayers will continue to exploit weak enforcement, delaying removals for years. Public confidence in immigration control is at stake.

The government’s failure to successfully remove foreign criminals has fuelled public frustration. Ministers have vowed to tighten asylum policies, but results remain slow.

With the upper tribunal set to review MR’s case, questions remain over whether Britain’s asylum system can prevent future abuses or if legal loopholes will continue to be exploited.

Watchdog: Girls in care should share rooms with boys who ID as female

0

Scotland’s care system, tasked with safeguarding vulnerable children, has taken a deeply unsettling turn. The Care Inspectorate, a government watchdog, has decreed that Girls in care should share a bedroom with boys who ‘self-identify’ as the opposite gender, according to the Daily Mail.

This policy, issued in May 2024, means that young girls could now be compelled to share rooms with males who “identify as female”, disregarding basic safeguarding principles.

This pronouncement aligns with controversial Scottish Government guidance, which insists that “transgender-identifying youths” should never be required to use facilities corresponding to their biological sex.

Despite mounting concerns from child welfare experts, the state appears determined to prioritise ideological conformity over the safety and well-being of those in its care.

Given that a significant proportion of children in care have experienced past trauma, forcing them into potentially distressing situations raises serious ethical and legal concerns.

Stop Transgenderism Now!

Ignoring the reality of childhood trauma

The consequences of this policy become even more alarming when viewed in the context of Scotland’s care demographics.

A University of Stirling study from 2019 found that most children placed into care had suffered abuse, neglect, or other forms of maltreatment.

These are young people who desperately need stability, not further uncertainty imposed by political posturing.

Return to the UK’s Christian Constitution →

The Cass review

The Cass Review, published in 2023, revealed a striking overlap between children in care and those identifying as transgender.

Many of these youngsters have endured adverse childhood experiences, making them particularly vulnerable to external influences and social contagion.

Yet rather than providing robust psychological support, the state appears intent on reinforcing an ideology that fails to acknowledge the complexities of their distress.

The latest directive not only overlooks these realities but also places emotionally fragile children in situations where their personal boundaries may be compromised.

Support NCCSS / Christian Voice →

Repeating past mistakes at the expense of safety

This is not the first time Scottish authorities have been accused of jeopardising safeguarding standards. In 2021, the Scottish Government faced backlash over its school guidance, which permitted children to socially transition without parental consent.

That policy was criticised for undermining parental rights and encouraging secrecy in critical areas of child development.

In a similar vein, the new care home directive disregards the legitimate concerns of professionals and parents alike. The failure to conduct a rigorous risk assessment before implementing such a radical change demonstrates a disturbing pattern: ideology is placed above evidence-based policy.

One need only look at past safeguarding failures—such as the mishandling of grooming gang investigations in various parts of the UK—to understand the dangers of ignoring warning signs.

Ask us to come and speak at your church →

Dismissing the concerns of experts

Child welfare specialists and legal experts have raised the alarm, yet their warnings have been brushed aside. Helen Joyce, Director of Advocacy at Sex Matters, described the policy as ‘a terrifying failure’ of the state’s obligation to protect the vulnerable.

Past experiences have shown that disregarding expert advice leads to tragic consequences. The Scottish Government’s dismissal of biological reality mirrors the failures seen in the Tavistock scandal, where children were rushed into irreversible medical interventions due to political pressure rather than clinical judgement.

The refusal to acknowledge risks is not just negligent—it is an active betrayal of the duty of care owed to those who rely on the state for protection.

A system in crisis

The most troubling aspect of this policy is what it reveals about the state of governance in Scotland. The agencies entrusted with child protection have capitulated to an activist agenda, forsaking their core duty to act in the best interests of those in their care. Instead of adopting a cautious, evidence-based approach, they have embraced a doctrine that prioritises identity politics over safeguarding.

If the government is unwilling to acknowledge the dangers posed by this directive, public confidence in Scotland’s child protection system will continue to erode.

The prioritisation of ideological compliance over child safety should be a national scandal—yet those responsible remain unchallenged within the corridors of power.

UKRI governing council

At a time when universities should be focusing on rigorous research and innovation, taxpayers’ money is instead being funnelled into “woke studies’”of questionable value.

Investigations reveal that funding bodies, including UK Research and Innovation (UKRI), have approved grants for projects exploring subjects such as ‘queer ecology’ and TikTok dance trends. These studies do little to advance scientific or societal progress, yet they continue to drain the public purse at an alarming rate.

The funding of these projects is not just an academic indulgence but a misuse of taxpayer resources.

Return to the UK’s Christian Constitution →

‘Queering Climate Change,’?

An example of this is a research project titled “Queering Climate Change,’’ which received substantial government funding. While climate research is undoubtedly important, diverting funds towards such a niche ideological angle is symptomatic of the wider academic rot.

Instead of focusing on sustainable energy solutions or policy-driven environmental change, researchers are prioritising intersectionality and identity politics.

The question taxpayers should be asking is simple: what real-world problems do these projects solve? The answer, in most cases, is none.

The continued financing of such endeavours highlights a government more concerned with appeasing activist academics than delivering value for money.

The UKRI: A bureaucratic behemoth

UK Research and Innovation (UKRI) is the main body responsible for disbursing research funds, yet its structure is riddled with inefficiencies and elite self-interest.

While this setup was ostensibly designed to encourage “academic diversity”, in reality, it has facilitated an opaque and wasteful allocation of resources.

The individuals at the helm of UKRI are not chosen through a democratic or transparent process. They are appointed by the Secretary of State for Science, Innovation and Technology, ensuring that those with the ‘right’ connections continue to benefit from government largesse. The councils themselves function as echo chambers, reinforcing ideological homogeneity rather than promoting genuine intellectual debate.

UKRI decisions increasingly reflect the interests of academic elites rather than the needs of the wider public, ensuring that research grants remain the preserve of those who conform to prevailing narratives.

Ask us to come and speak at your church →

Who are these people?

With individuals such as The Baroness Bull CBE and Professor Dame Ottoline Leyser at the helm, it is evident that UKRI is deeply embedded within the upper echelons of Britain’s ruling elite.

These individuals are appointed rather than elected, raising serious concerns about accountability. Despite controlling vast sums of public money, there is little transparency in how they make decisions or who truly benefits from their funding choices.

The composition of the UKRI board exemplifies the broader issue of entrenched privilege within Britain’s research sector. Taxpayers deserve a system where funding decisions are based on merit and national interest, rather than the whims of a self-selecting clique of establishment figures.

Nine Councils: A jobs programme for the elite

UKRI’s sprawling bureaucracy is divided into nine separate research councils, each of which operates with little oversight. These councils, which include bodies such as the Arts and Humanities Research Council and the Economic and Social Research Council, function less as centres of academic excellence and more as sinecures for well-connected academics.

The councils claim to support research that benefits society, yet much of their funding is directed towards projects with little practical value. Grants have been awarded for studies into ‘decolonising heritage’ and ‘non-binary storytelling,’ while vital areas such as medical research and technological innovation receive comparatively less support.

At a time when public services are under strain, it is indefensible that taxpayers are subsidising cushy jobs for academics whose work has no meaningful impact.

Public services cut while professors reap the rewards

While ordinary Britons are seeing their benefits slashed and public services cut to the bone, UKRI continues to shower money on well-heeled professors and career bureaucrats. The organisation’s budget, running into the billions, represents a grotesque misallocation of resources during Britain’s most vulnerable time.

Rachel from Complaints might be struggling to get her benefits sorted, but in the rarefied world of academia, there is no shortage of funding for ideological pet projects.

It is a damning indictment of the government’s priorities that while pensioners and the working poor are facing financial hardship, the academic elite are thriving at taxpayer expense.

Sir Keir Starmer expanding Quango state

Sir Keir Starmer’s administration has shown no signs of reversing this trend. If anything, his government has continued the tradition of expanding the quango state, creating more taxpayer-funded institutions to be filled with the same establishment figures who have presided over years of waste and incompetence.

Since taking office, Sir Starmer has set up new advisory panels, research bodies, and task forces, all of which follow the same pattern: well-paid positions for those with the right political and ideological credentials, but little real benefit for the public.

These quangos act as a parallel government, unaccountable yet deeply influential, shaping policies and funding decisions behind closed doors.

If Britain is to regain control over its research priorities, it must start by dismantling the bloated bureaucracy that allows these wasteful expenditures to persist.

Secularists trying to ban prayer in parliament – again

UK Parliament in session
UK Parliament in session

Militant atheists are trying to ban prayers before parliamentary sessions. They have found a Member of Parliament to table what is known as an Early Day Motion, calling for daily prayers to be abolished.

Their last attempt, in 2019, attracted a total of fifteen signatures. This time around, it looks as if nine MPs have signed so far.

Watch our short, pithy video on Rumble:

Form of the Prayers

According to the Parliament website, the Speaker’s Chaplain usually reads the prayers. The form of the main prayer is as follows: ‘Lord, the God of righteousness and truth, grant to our King and his government, to Members of Parliament and all in positions of responsibility, the guidance of your Spirit. May they never lead the nation wrongly through love of power, desire to please, or unworthy ideals,
‘but laying aside all private interests and prejudices keep in mind their responsibility to seek to improve the condition of all mankind; so may your kingdom come and your name be hallowed. Amen.’

(In the video, I mistakenly say ‘the’ instead of ‘his’ government. It’s important to remember the government is responsible to the king, because that puts it under the King of kings.)

The House of Lords prayers follow much of the Church of England’s Order for Morning Prayer, including a quote from Proverbs 8: ‘Almighty God, by whom alone Kings reign, and Princes decree justice; and from whom alone cometh all counsel, wisdom, and understanding;’

It’s powerful stuff, beginning from the premise that almighty God is indeed interested and involved in the national affairs of men. And Christian prayers have had a formal place in Parliament for at least four hundred and fifty years. Sign our petition:

The motion

UK Parliament in session
UK Parliament in session

The secularist motion starts off by demanding: ‘that religious worship should not play any part in the formal business of the House of Commons.’ This is despite the United Kingdom having an explicit Christian constitution, most eloquently expressed, of course, in our monarch’s coronation.

On the 6th of May 2023, King Charles kissed the Holy Bible and was anointed by the Archbishop of Canterbury to rule in the name, and under the authority of, the Lord Jesus Christ, the King of kings.

The motion continues to suggest having prayers means ‘Parliamentary meetings’ are not ‘equally welcoming to all attendees’, despite attendance being entirely voluntary.

Here’s the nub of their argument: ‘Parliamentary prayers are not compatible with a society that respects the principles of freedom of and from religion’.

Did you see what they did there? ‘Freedom … from religion.’ But of course, banning daily prayers would be to impose atheism on the United Kingdom. And that is what the God-haters are really after, to declare there is no spiritual aspect to our national life

Ask us to come and speak at your church →

The NSS claim

‘Analysis by Pew Research Center last year revealed less than 10% of people in the UK pray every day – the lowest percentage out of 102 countries.’

Well, it’s good they give a link, because it allows us to see their claim is false. The UK isn’t the lowest. That’s Japan.

In fact, the UK beats Switzerland, Denmark, the Czech Republic and Estonia as well. But to be fair, we are sat on ten percent along with Sweden, Latvia and Finland, just below France, Belgium and Germany.

Pew Research Centre comment: ‘People in nearly all European countries surveyed are among the least likely to say that religion is very important in their lives.’

Another way of looking at the statistic might be to suggest that the reason the United Kingdom and much of Western Europe is in such a mess is that so few people are praying. But the atheists ought to be very careful what they wish for.

It’s not just that all our freedoms and traditions are based on Christianity, even their appeal to fair play, and that they are sawing off the very branch they are sitting on. No it’s worse than that.

A spiritual vacuum

To ban Christian prayers would be to create a spiritual vacuum. And there is an assertive, self-confident religion increasing numerically in our land which would rush to fill that vacuum.

It’s easy to see how the National Secular Society are stuck in their mid-nineteenth-century time-warp when Christianity was the only faith on offer in these islands, and it was everywhere, informing every aspect of national life, enjoying substantial privileges.

It’s not like that any more. And the only way to prevent Islam, which the secularists really will not like, from gaining hold, is to champion our Christian heritage before it’s too late.

“If the foundation be destroyed”

Far from banning prayers in Parliament, our leaders should be proclaiming the cause of Christ from the rooftops.

Secularists have had their day. But their much-vaunted freer and fairer society has now morphed into one where Christian views and those expressing them are being cancelled.

The word of God says:
Prov 25:5 Take away the wicked from before the king, and his throne shall be established in righteousness.

Let us pray the Lord will take these God-hating secularists out of the corridors of power, and establish the throne with capable, God-fearing, honest men of truth. Sign our petition:

Secularist nightmare

Keith Porteus Wood (left) and Terry Sanderson
Keith Porteus Wood (left) and Terry Sanderson (in their younger days)

When we look behind the scenes, we see the secularists agitating for every godless idea, every abomination destructive of human society. It was run for years by two homosexuals, Keith Porteous Wood (still in charge) and Terry Sanderson.

The NSS is in favour of a completely atheistic state, including a ban on prayer in every public forum, disestablishment of the church, the eviction of bishops from the House of Lords and an end to our Christian coronation ceremony with a ‘secular’ head of state put in place instead of the monarch.

They want abortion on demand up to birth, abortion ‘buffer zones’, sodomy and gay ‘marriage’, no-fault divorce on demand, sex education unrestrained by any parental involvement, no faith schools at all, creation never contemplated as a possible explanation for life on earth, a ban on home education, and legalised suicide and euthanasia.

Churches would have their charitable status revoked, but of course any organisation promoting what the Lord hates would remain charitable. They fail to acknowledge that secularism, denying that any deity exists, is a ‘religious’ point of view. They have a founding myth for life on earth; they call it ‘evolution’.

Trans doctors can use lavatories of their choice, says hospital trust

0
Pro-Transgender 'Pride Flag' painted on a walkway at NHS Princess Royal Hospital, Orpington, England.

A London hospital trust has defied the UK’s Health Secretary  by letting trans staff choose their own lavatories and changing rooms, according to the Telegraph.

Guy’s and St Thomas’ trust’s new transgender equality policy tells all staff they must refer to everyone with the pronoun of their choice, even if they do not believe in gender ideology.

Patients, many of whom are vulnerable, are now at risk of being placed in intimate situations with individuals of the opposite sex, without their knowledge or consent.

This reckless decision directly challenges the efforts of Health Secretary  Wes Streeting, who is considering implementing new NHS guidance to prevent exactly this kind of overreach.

Workplace Coercion

This enforced speech is not only an insult to professional autonomy but also creates an environment of coercion where medical professionals risk disciplinary action for stating biological facts.

The Trust explicitly instructs managers to conceal the trans status of doctors and nurses from patients. This means that a female patient requesting a woman for intimate care could be met with a biological man who identifies as female, without being informed.

The ethical violations are staggering—deception is being institutionalised under the guise of inclusivity, disregarding patient rights entirely.

Return to the UK’s Christian Constitution →

The rising backlash against NHS insanity

The lunacy of this policy becomes even clearer when viewed against the backdrop of recent legal battles. In Darlington, eight nurses took legal action after being forced to share changing facilities with a biological male who identified as female.

These professionals, dedicated to patient care, were vilified simply for raising legitimate concerns about privacy and dignity. Rather than recognising the obvious risks, NHS bureaucrats doubled down, defending policies that erode women’s rights and workplace protections.

A similar case is unfolding in Scotland, where NHS Fife is embroiled in a legal dispute after nurse Sandie Peggie was compelled to share a changing room with a “transwoman”.

The message from NHS leadership is clear: women’s concerns are irrelevant, their discomfort is invalid, and their rights are negotiable when placed against the demands of gender ideology. This is not inclusion—it is state-mandated erasure of sex-based protections.

The leadership at Guy’s and St Thomas’ is now on a collision course with reality. While other NHS trusts face legal action for similar policies, this institution is proudly enacting a directive that contradicts fundamental principles of medical ethics.

Support NCCSS / Christian Voice →

Institutionalising a delusion

The absurdity does not end with bathroom policies. The Trust’s guidance embraces the legally unrecognised concept of “non-binary” identities, mandating staff training on “gender non-conforming identities” as if these terms had scientific legitimacy.

More disturbingly, the Trust has decided to collect data based on self-declared gender identity while refusing to record biological sex.

In a medical setting, where accurate records can mean the difference between life and death, prioritising ideological compliance over factual data is unforgivable.

Moreover, the policy states that an individual’s pronouns can change at any time and that colleagues must comply instantly. This reduces professional interactions to a linguistic minefield, where one misstep could result in disciplinary action. Medical staff, already burdened with immense responsibilities, are now expected to memorise fluctuating identities in order to avoid accusations of “transphobia.”

Ask us to come and speak at your church →

NHS betrays women’s rights

This policy signals a fundamental betrayal of women in the NHS. Sex-based protections, once enshrined under the Equality Act, are being eroded to accommodate an ideological movement that denies biological reality. By omitting “sex” from its list of protected characteristics, the Trust has made a chilling declaration: women’s rights are expendable.

This is not the first time the NHS has been complicit in such an agenda. Previously, female patients have been forced to share hospital wards with biological men, with some being threatened with removal if they dared to object. When complaints were raised about male-bodied individuals being placed in female-only spaces, administrators dismissed the concerns as bigotry. The NHS is systematically dismantling women’s rights, replacing them with policies that prioritise feelings over facts.

The consequences will not be theoretical. Patients who require single-sex care due to religious or personal reasons will now find themselves at the mercy of staff who are forbidden from disclosing the truth. Women in distress, already vulnerable in medical settings, will have their autonomy stripped away by an institution that once prided itself on patient dignity and informed consent.

Reckless leadership, unavoidable consequences

When women are silenced, when professionals are forced to lie, when medical records are falsified, the consequences are measured not in social justice points, but in lives harmed.

The NHS was founded on principles of care, ethics, and scientific integrity. This latest ideological capitulation reveals how far it has strayed from those foundations.

Public outrage is growing, and with good reason. Patients, staff, and advocacy groups are mobilising against these policies, demanding that reason prevails over ideology.

As legal battles unfold, it is only a matter of time before this reckless experiment collapses under its own contradictions.

Chaplain fired for biblical sermon wins appeal to challenge dismissal

Dr Bernard Randall
Dr Bernard Randall
Dr Bernard Randall
Dr Bernard Randall
A Chaplain who was fired for giving a sermon on Christian marriage and gender  has won an appeal to challenge his dismissal. The Court of Appeal has decided that Rev. Dr. Bernard Randall may challenge what he deemed “an unfair firing” for a teaching  he delivered in his official capacity as a school chaplain. “I am very pleased and thankful for today’s decision and am relieved that Judge Butler’s previous ruling has been acknowledged in court,” said Dr. Randall in a statement following the ruling. “Nevertheless, the continuing long wait for justice is painful and holding back my life. I would not be where I am now if Educate and Celebrate (a pro-sodomy pressure group) had not been invited into Trent College, it is as simple as that,” Dr. Randall said. “As an ordained Church of England minister working as a chaplain in a school with a CofE ethos, it was my duty to encourage debate and help children who were confused by the LGBT+ teaching to know that there are alternative views and beliefs on these contentious issues.” Stop Transgenderism Now!

Safeguarding or persecution?

In 2019, at Trent College, Dr Randall merely responded to students’ genuine concerns about LGBT ideology being forced upon them. His sermon, which encouraged critical thinking, was met with institutional retaliation. The school, eager to appease an aggressive activist agenda, reported him to the government’s terrorist watchdog, as though Christian doctrine were a national security threat. The farce continued when the Church itself, rather than standing by its own teachings, deemed him a “safeguarding risk.” The bishop overseeing his case forced him into a psychological evaluation designed for sex offenders. This is not safeguarding; this is persecution. Return to the UK’s Christian Constitution →

The LGBT agenda That consumed the Church

The CofE’s descent into ideological servitude did not happen overnight. The invitation of Educate and Celebrate, an extremist LGBT group, to indoctrinate children under the guise of inclusion was the catalyst that exposed just how compromised the Church has become. The organisation, which demanded that teachers chant “smash heteronormativity,” was permitted unrestricted access to thousands of schools before collapsing under the weight of its own corruption. Educate and Celebrate’s track record is nothing short of scandalous. One of its patrons, Stephen Ireland, now faces charges of child sex abuse, including rape and conspiracy to kidnap. Peter Tatchell, another associate, in 1997 infamously suggested that children as young as nine could enjoy sexual relationships with adults. Yet, despite these disturbing connections, the Church of England remained silent, complicit in allowing this poison to infiltrate schools.

The real threat to children

The Church of England had the audacity to label Dr Randall a “safeguarding risk,” but the real threat to children was always Educate and Celebrate. The group’s exposure as a haven for predators should have led to a full-scale inquiry, yet those in power continue to deflect attention onto innocent clergymen instead of addressing their own failures. Educate and Celebrate’s perverse ideology was allowed to fester under the Church’s watch. The children who were subjected to its teachings were told to reject biological reality and embrace confusion. Instead of ensuring their safety, the CofE gave an extremist group access to their most vulnerable parishioners. Meanwhile, the man who sounded the alarm was vilified. If there is a safeguarding concern here, it is not the presence of Christian doctrine in schools—it is the infiltration of radical activists who see children as ideological battlegrounds. The Church of England, in its desperation to remain relevant in secular society, has become complicit in this disaster. This is an institution that has lost its moral compass entirely. Support NCCSS / Christian Voice →

A show trial against Christianity

After being cast out from Trent College, Dr Randall sought justice through legal channels, but the rot extended even to the courtroom. His case was presided over by an openly anti-Christian tribunal member, Jed Purkis, who had previously declared that only atheists should hold office and derided Christians as a source of the world’s problems. Yet, this blatant bias was ignored until another case exposed his misconduct. The same tribunal that condemned Dr Randall also presided over the case of a Christian teacher, ‘Hannah,’ who was dismissed for questioning the transition of an eight-year-old child under Stonewall’s guidance. When Purkis’s extreme biases were revealed, the entire panel was forced to recuse itself, acknowledging the appearance of prejudice. Yet, the damage to Dr Randall had already been done. The corruption within the judicial system was finally exposed when the Employment Appeals Tribunal overturned the ruling against Dr Randall, declaring it “unsafe” and ordering a retrial. The fact that a supposedly impartial court had been so deeply compromised should shake every person of faith to their core. Ask us to come and speak at your church →

The show of cowardice

The highest levels of the Church of England did not merely abandon Dr Randall, they actively obstructed justice. Archbishop Justin Welby (before his resignation), rather than addressing the injustice done to a faithful minister, sought to bury the case. When Dr Randall filed a misconduct complaint against the Diocese of Derby for its disgraceful treatment of him, Archbishop Welby blocked it from proceeding. Only when a senior church legal officer intervened did it become clear just how egregious the Church’s behaviour had been. The ruling found that Archbishop Welby had “plainly misunderstood the scope of his powers” and had acted wrongly in preventing the case from moving forward. Even so, the Church has refused to restore Dr Randall’s Permission to officiate, effectively keeping him in ecclesiastical exile.

Will there be justice?

The latest ruling overturning Dr Randall’s conviction is a step in the right direction, but it raises a pressing question: when will true justice be served? His permission to officiate remains revoked. The Church’s internal review drags on with no resolution in sight. Six years after his last sermon, Dr Randall remains in limbo while those who persecuted him continue unscathed. This case is more than just an injustice against one man; it is a warning. The Church of England has aligned itself with forces openly hostile to Christianity, and anyone who resists will be silenced. If a minister can be treated this way for simply preaching scripture, then no faithful Christian is safe. The corruption, cowardice, and betrayal exposed in this saga demand accountability. The question now is whether the Church will ever return to the very principles upon which it was founded, or whether it has become just another arm of the secular state

GCHQ abandons Stonewall

1
Government Communications HQ
Government Communications HQ
Government Communications HQ
Government Communications HQ
The UK Government’s Communications Head Quarters (GCHQ), has quietly distanced itself from Stonewall’s diversity scheme, according to the Telegraph. A reference to the agency’s status as a “Stonewall Diversity Champion” on its careers website was removed after GCHQ was contacted by the media. The removal of its “Diversity Champion” status from official careers pages signals a broader shift within UK institutions, as state bodies re-evaluate their association with controversial activist groups. This calculated retreat aligns with the growing resistance against Stonewall’s radical agenda, which has alienated even its former allies. Stop Transgenderism Now!

GCHQ’s retreat

The intelligence community’s retreat coincides with Stonewall’s financial troubles, exacerbated by reduced US funding. President Donald Trump’s pledge to dismantle the “deep state” and cut wasteful government spending has had direct repercussions, with Stonewall losing one of its most significant financial backers: the US State Department. Without this lifeline, “the charity” now scrambles to secure alternative revenue streams. Return to the UK’s Christian Constitution →

The UK’s hypocrisy on foreign influence

The UK government relentlessly criticises foreign meddling yet shamelessly injects its ideological agenda into other nations. Through the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO), Britain has committed a staggering £40 million to advance “LGBT+ rights globally.” This interventionist policy undermines national sovereignty, imposing Western values on societies with different cultural and religious foundations. Meanwhile, the same government claims outrage when external forces influence its internal affairs. If Britain truly valued non-interference, it would abandon its ideological exportation and focus on its own domestic challenges. Support Christian Voice →

Stonewall’s waning influence

Once a dominant force claiming to shape workplace policies across Britain, Stonewall’s influence has sharply declined. The pandemic saw an exodus of government departments and corporations withdrawing from its diversity program, disillusioned by its increasing extremism. GCHQ is merely the latest in a growing list of institutions that have opted to cut ties, recognising the reputational and financial risks of continued affiliation. Even Britain’s intelligence services, long known for their embrace of progressive policies, have turned away. MI5, MI6, and GCHQ, all of which previously held high rankings in Stonewall’s employer index, have faded from the list in recent years. Institutions are no longer willing to pay exorbitant sums for ideological compliance, particularly when doing so undermines operational integrity and public trust. The erosion of ‘five eyes’ unity

Tensions within the “Five Eyes” intelligence alliance have surfaced, exposing fractures among historically close allies. Meanwhile, in the US, Trump’s allies propose expelling Canada from the alliance, citing policy disagreements and economic disputes. These internal divisions highlight the fragility of Western intelligence partnerships once considered unshakable. As ideological rifts deepen, member nations are prioritising national interests over performative commitments to activism. Rather than clinging to outdated woke commitments, Western nations must address the growing threats of economic instability, cybersecurity, and geopolitical competition.

India's first transgender clinics close after USAID freeze
India’s first transgender clinics close after USAID freeze
Several so-called “transgender healthcare” clinics in India have shut down, thanks to the Trump administration’s decisive action against USAID funding. According to LifeSIteNews, three Mitr Clinics, which specialised in pushing dangerous medical interventions on vulnerable individuals, have been forced to close their doors. These clinics, established in collaboration with Johns Hopkins University, were a product of ideological imperialism disguised as healthcare. With U.S. taxpayer dollars no longer bankrolling gender experimentation abroad, these facilities have collapsed under their own unsustainable model. The Mitr Clinics, first introduced in Hyderabad in 2021, prioritised hormone treatments over real medical care. Their closure is a victory for sanity and a rejection of the reckless Western export of gender ideology. While Reuters laments the loss of “services” for 5,000 so-called transgender patients, what has actually ended is a pipeline of medical malpractice that treated life-altering hormones as a routine prescription.
