Homosexuals in Scotland may only number around 1% of its population, but Alex Salmond is courting their votes in a final push for the ‘Yes campaign’, according to Pink News.
The First Minister told the ‘Equality Network’, a group of homosexual activists, that an independent Scotland would cement perversion in a new constitution.
Mr Salmond said: “Independence is a once in a lifetime opportunity to embed and enhance LGBTI rights. With Independence we will be able to enshrine LGBTI equality in a written constitution – ensuring our rights cannot be easily reversed by any government”. (‘Our rights’? What can that mean?)
“With a No vote we face the prospect of another Tory government committed to scrapping the Human Rights Act…It’s only with the full powers of an independent country that we can finally secure true equality for LGBTI people and a fairer society for all.”
The First Minister said the equality protections of a Scottish constitution would include: age, disability, gender identity, gender reassignment, intersex status, marriage or civil partnership, pregnancy or maternity, race, religion or belief, sex and sexual orientation.
In reality, the gay-friendly Conservatives are not going to repeal ‘gay marriage’ or the Equality Act whether the UK remains signed up to the European Convention on Human Rights or not. Mr Salmond is erecting an Aunt Sally. But it gets worse.

Mr Salmond went on: “With complete control over foreign policy and international development we will be able to make full use of diplomatic relations and actively promote LGBTI equality and human rights around the world.”
So Indy-Scotland will not lift a finger to help Christians in Iraq but will promote sodomy across the globe. The UK has been been bad enough at forcing its view through its aid budget down the throats of Africans, but under Mr Salmond, whips seem about to be replaced by scorpions.
Scotland will also give foreign homosexuals priority in asylum applications: “With independence we can have a new humane approach to asylum seekers and refugees in line with our values and commitment to upholding internationally recognised human rights. Our approach stands in stark contrast to Westminster’s aggressive approach that is best exemplified by their offensive ‘go home’ advertising campaign.
“Scotland has a very clear position on promoting lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender and intersex rights both at home and abroad,” Mr Salmond concluded.
Christian Voice has remained neutral during the Scottish Independence debate, but Mr Salmond’s declaration now means that no Bible-believing Christian can vote for him or for independence, if it entails what its chief protagonist says it does.

It seems to me that Alex Salmond could possibly be on the payroll of the Kremlin or Stonewall or both. He appears to be very determined to weaken the UK, and Scottish independence will certainly achieve this. He also seems to be very keen to weaken the economy as well as the structure of society. A “NO” vote on Thursday is in everybody’s best interests.
Chris Kimber,
Why on Earth are you suggesting that Salmond “could possibly be on the payroll of the Kremlin”? Russia has proved to be the last bulward in Europe against the Cultural Marxism that is being imposed on the rest of Europe by the degenerate political elite of the West. What do you think all the fuss was about in the West when President Putin signed the anti-homosexual propaganda law? The modern Left despise Putin and Russia for their adherence to conservative Christian values.
It’s not just the homo brigade Putin has stopped, but also the Jehova Witnesses. Thank the Lord, He has stopped this cult from entering and pushing their idolatrous religion any further in Russia.
Totally agree.
Formerly Bolshevik-atheist Russia is undergoing a spiritual revival led by the Russian Orthodox church
Meanwhile the formerly Christian West has completely absorbed cultural Marxism!!
Just look at the nature of one of Mr Putin’s biggest critics–Masha Gessen–who wrote a book attacking him and who is admired by our degenerate elites.
http://www.tomatobubble.com/masha_gessen.html
Gessen is a total opponent of family and morality, a total cultural Marxist and until 2013 the director of the Russian branch of radio free Europe!
Since when was radio free Europe about promoting cultural Marxism? The irony of history!
Well, who would have thought it? So onwards we march towards the Brave New World.
How many more BABYLONS are going to appear before the coming of The Lord. To many BAAL worshippers now that cannot see the light.
Given that only a small number of christians in Scotland will see this, would it not be prudent to publish this via the media. Have to be quick though as only 2 days left !!.
“Publish it via the media”?!! Go on then, see who’ll take it up!!!
What good will this do at this late stage, when hardly anyone will see this. I mean a small number of people which will make little or no difference. This information should be brought to national attention for all to see, not in a restricted place only.
Alex Salmond must be desperate to resort to such deplorable tactics.
I agree with Mike above this needs to be taken to a wider audience as many christians are the undecided voters.
It’s long been clear that Salmond has been a stands bearer for Cultural Marxism. I wonder if there could be a connection between him and Common Purpose, a Cultural Marxist organisation that has already subverted the Church of England, all the mainstream political parties, the mainstream media, the police, and local government. You can be assured that Common Purpose will also have its dirty fingerprints on the recent child abuse scandal in Rotherham. It’s all part of the degenerate agenda of Cultural Marxism that is being imposed on the peoples of the West by the political elite, aimed at destroying Western Christian culture in order to cause the collapse of the nation states of Europe, North America, and Australasia, before the rest become targeted.
Firstly we are not Voting for Salmond, we are Voting for Independence, Secondly who are you to concern yourself with the morals of Scotland when the English established Church, who by majority, actively encourages homosexual ministers and bishops, both men and woman, to Office. Thirdly, the New Written Constitution will not be decided by Salmond alone but will be decided by Scots from various positions in Society, nothing is signed, sealed and delivered until the people representing Scotland have debated this important and historical Document. Lastly, God has the final say, maybe you think Salmond will decide, but myself and I believe many others throughout our Land who will be Voting for Independence, we will be calling on the Father, to move by His Holy Spirit, to direct our Nations Leaders to put into writing a Constitution that is in agreement with His will.
Alex Salmond is the present First Minister of Scotland. He may not be the leader of the Government of an Independent Scotlandand thus to say that an Independent Scotland will promote Gay Rights is disingenuous.
That is why we say things like ‘Scotland under Alex Salmond’.
Daniel tells us that there will be a future revival of the Roman Empire in the area of Europe and parts of the Middle East. This revived Roman Empire, the fourth beast of Daniel”s prophetic vision, is portrayed as the ten toes of the great image in the dream of King Nebuchadnezzar, ruler of Babylonia.
So, did the Roman Empire stop at Hadrian’s wall? If so, it may be the answer to the question I’ve been pondering, how could Scotland be allowed to become part of the revived Roman Empire in the fulfilment of prophecy?
May God’s will be done, and He receive all the Honour, and Power and Glory.
Would Daniel have known about the Scottish referendum ?
Daniel prophesied a revival of the Roman Empire.
Scotland didn’t feature in the first Empire, so a revived one would have to dump Scotland.
Giving the Scots a popularity contest for Mr Salmond may be a good way of achieving that?
Let you know tomorrow!
But at the time of Daniel, there was not yet a Roman Empire to be revived.
The Romans did get as far as the Antonine Wall for a time, in fact they built 26 forts on it, which gives you a bit of a chance to sit on the fence, as it were. This is quite little known, but it is well established, in fact what’s left of the thing is a UNESCO World Heritage site.
interesting thought, Peter
but then what about Ireland? That wasn’t part of Roman Empire (was it?), but is part of EU. Still, interesting thought, as I say.
Daniel was alive long before Rome was even a powerful city, so it would be understandable if he was vague about the details of how far its empire would eventually stretch.
Quite a lot of the EU was never part of the Roman Empire, not least Finland for example. But Daniel would understandably be even more vague about that.
good point re Finland, etc also being outside Roman Empire (but in EU), Rox, me old mucker
Homosex is against the word of God! It’s curse.God! Created woman separately for the Man. They have been blessed and instituted the marriage.devil works through humans to destroy others sincere faith. How sad of the Christian society today. May the Holy Spirit! Guide and enlighten. Bless you all who follows the steps of Jesus! Ana abide by his word! !!
Scotland and the UK are going down the drain with these sorts of declarations. It is sad that the country that brought Christianity to Africa is the country that is bent on taking it away!! The early missionaries must be groaning in their graves
Steady on ! You can’t say “Scotland and the UK” yet. Scotland is still part of the UK, and even if they vote to leave it tomorrow, it will still be part of the UK for about two years. In that case we would need a new name to replace “UK”.
How easy it is to create sensational headlines without looking more deeply into the issues. I have a number of Christian friends in Scotland who are very active in standing up for Biblical truth and morality, and who are pro-independence. It is not that they are blind to this particular issue (indeed one of my closest friends there is often engaged in public debates regarding morality and the gay issue). However consider a few points: (a) The Westminster government has shown itself to be just as active in marginalizing Christian values as anything a Scottish parliament could do. (b) With the strong Christian heritage in Scotland, there is more hope that a Christian voice would be heard effectively in a smaller country than in a larger conglomeration of countries, (c) Independence is not all about Alex Salmond. I’m not in Scotland, but I think that our greatest contribution to this debate would be to pray, whatever happens, that the church in Scotland would truly be salt and light, and so support our brothers and sisters in Christ in their witness.
Re: “Salmond on the payroll of the Kremlin” ; makes sense precisely because of Russia`s position on this issue; they would love to see us weaken ourselves by becoming degenerate.
Graham, according to official figures, 78% of Russians claim they are Orthodox Christians, they may not all go to Church but it`s a exceedingly high percentage who say they trust in the Lord. In a UK census IN 2011, 59% of English and 54% of Scots claimed they were Christian. If these figures are accurate, I don`t think we are in any position to berate or lecture the Kremlin or any other Russian authority on becoming degenerate. It appears to me that many people on this site seem to be so willing to comment on articles without doing at least the very basic search of google. Putin is not afraid to stand up and declare his Faith and be seen in Church, unlike Salmond who runs and hides when anything Godly is discussed or to be voted on. Perhaps the Russians deserve a good bit more respect for their values than many UK Christians are willing to give them credit for.
It is amazing how quickly so many Russians have changed their views .
Yes Rox, the Lord works the wonders of His grace in peoples lives in the most amazing ways.
It was also amazing how quickly so many Russians changed their religious views after the Revolution.
Maybe they didn’t. Maybe they just kept quiet.
If Stephen is right, then there would have been no need for the Lord to work the wonders of His Grace very much recently. But I’m afraid the truth is probably closer to most people people going along with whatever they are supposed to go along with, while being pretty lukewarm about it.
Christian Voice has done a great service in putting us aware of Slippery Salmon’s intentions. He wants to tear apart our nation and the Judeo-Christian heritage that made us collectively great.
It is not surprising that Salmon is pro sodomite, seems to be taking a lead from our own government’s questionable morals. It is encouraging that Russia and the African nations have not been intimidated. The sodomites are up in arms to the fact that they are denied access to Russian children, hopefully preventing them from being recruited into such a vile deathstyle.
Now, you know. God’s will is done. We remain a ‘United’ Britain There are a lot of Christians here. We send out the good news to all points of the compass. Sodom would not have been destroyed if there had been ten worthy souls – we have millions who bow the knee at Jesus’ Name.
Many prayers must have been made that Mr Salmond ‘who seems to embrace the abomination of Stonewall’ would not win to be leader of an independent Scotland.
God will not be ignored – see Ps 46 (I think) at the end “I will be exalted amongst the nations, I will be exalted in the earth,’
We’re on the victory side.
Salmond’s promises for what an independent Scotland will represent may be over for now, but people need to be aware that a Parliamentary Bill to make Personal, Social, Health and Economic (PSHE) Education a statutory requirement for schools is currently making its way through the House of Commons. With this Bill, degenerate Cultural Marxists are attempting to sneak through a requirement whereby young children would be compelled by statute to be taught about homosexual sexual practices. This Bill has been tabled by Green Party MP Caroline Lucas, and has the support, amongst others, of homosexual Justice Minister Simon Hughes and Conservative Peer (and former government minister) Lord Fowler, who has already apologised for the Thatcher Government’s implementation of Section 28 of the Local Governments Act 1988 which banned the teaching of homosexuality in schools.
You might also discover a whole load more intentions at mass-mind-bending towards sexual perversion at this website: http://www.pinknews.co.uk/2014/07/16/mp-caroline-lucas-urges-nicky-morgan-to-make-sex-education-statutory/
Satan walks up and down in the earth seeing whom he can devour.
Unfortunately, he does not stop when we do. The Scottish election is over, the demonstration outside the Iraqi embassy is done, prayers on the mega mosque site have gone up.
Personally, I prayed God would not allow Britain to participate in the Syrian conflict – then parliament voted against any intervention – but arms were given to the rebels against Assad despite David Cameron’s promise on receipt of his call for action that we would not intervene – now, over a year on, we are going into Assad’s country without consulting him.
See how we have to be persistent with our prayers. Satan does not stop working, do you care?
Ask yourself why the British government, as part of the EU-US Axis, has pursued the overthrow of the last three Arab leaders (Saddam, Gaddafi and Assad) who protected Christians. Yet our leaders still grovel to the Wahhabis of Saudi Arabia, who have been instrumental in financing the building of mosques in the UK, and financing Islamist terrorism, as in the case of the so-called ‘Free Syrian Army’ and ISIS. Now they look away with indifference as the Christians of the Middle East, including women and children are brutally murdered, usually by decapitation.
Our government does not look away. I’m sure, in the light of logic, and without deferring to God through prayer, they are doing what seems right in their eyes, and they have been shocked and horrified at the ‘beheadings, crucifixions, and rape’ by ISIL members.
Had they bombed Asaad, when David Cameron wanted to, we would have given succour and aid to ISIL – nevertheless, David Cameron thought he was doing the right thing.
We prayed, and God, who knows the end from the beginning moved Parliament to vote against intervention.
The battle between forces of good and evil are being waged in another realm and we don’t always know best.
Trust in God, stand and watch Him have the victory.
Is that a “prophecy”, Mr Terrell? Because you know what the penalty in the OT for false prophets was, don’t you? Death by stoning. Fewer in what’s left of the “Church” would venture to “prophesy” if that old custom were still in place!!
I remember we had the same thing in the gay marriage debacle: we were told by so-called “prophets” that God wouldn’t allow it. But He gives us free will, and has given much of the country over to a reprobate mind, including the free-will to vote for the LibLabCon: surely we can see what you get with them!! PC, and plenty of it!!
An encouraging sign, for me, is the rise of UKIP, but what a monumental task they face in taking back this country. Just perhaps there are enough true, decent, upright people to turn this thing around, but we/they are pitted against a thoroughly PC, left-wing cultural Marxism that has permeated every institutiion in this country, truly the Long March through the Institutiions has succeeded. But UKIP say very little about the threat from islam, or gay marriage, for example. Liberty GB, led by Paul Weston, are more on the mark imo.
Meanwhile the “church” is almost entirely asleep, huddled in their buildings, singing silly songs the words of which hardly anyone truly believes (personally I think God turns away, facepalm), praying for “revival” and Aunt Hettie’s chilblains, but no way will they go out and preach the Gospel and make disciples. If we are in the final End Times, I see nothing in the Bible that says there will be a revivial before Jesus comes back. Truly we need to pray for labourers to go into the harvest, but the answer to that prayer is usually, first of all, “go on then!!”.
Finally, that clown Miliband, desperate to find some issue on which he can appear decisive and “statemanslike”, has tabled a debate in Parliament to unilaterally declare a Palestinian state. I have written to my (Labour) MP, but expect she will follow like a sheep into the “Aye” door.
Dear Mr Jones
No, I don’t claim to be a ‘prophet’.
We are not singing ‘silly songs’ – many were written by Wesley and have been sung through the decades by millions of Christians – they glorify God, many directly taken from psalms, and we are encouraged to ‘Sing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs to one another’ – Ephesians.
We are told by God’s word to ‘understand’ what is written. I try to comprehend prophecy in the light of what is happening, what is reported by RT, Aljazeera, BBC, Telegraph and form my own opinion, asking God’s help.
Our churches take the message, Jesus Saves through posters, coffee mornings, and on the street – but I do confess, mostly inside, and we get few inquisitive souls.
I don’t think it is enough to prove that the hymns are not “silly songs” just to say they have long been popular and were written by Wesley. Wesley might have written popular silly songs, like Gilbert & Sullivan. In both cases, you need to have a good look at the content to assess its relevance today. Many psalms seem to be irrelevant today, or (worse) racist, very violent and inflammatory.
“Veiled in flesh the Godhead see, hail the incarnate deity”. How many schoolchildren or Christian revellers or supermarket shoppers actually understand that popular carol ?
I fear that UKIP is a false hope for, apparently, many Christian Vocalists. They do NOT announce themselves to be a Christian army fighting for God and for His righteous believers. I have not heard a UKIP representative mention anything along these lines ever. Still, if Peter Terrell is right in his general view of how things work, everybody’s actions are moved by God, God knows what will happen in advance, and there is nothing you can do about it except stand still and watch.
David Cameron thought he was doing the right thing so we should ignore his pandering to anti-Christian forces> If that be the case then why not also defend Hitler, because he thought he was doing the right thing? Why not also defend Pontius Pilate for the same reason?
The current government under David Cameron was constantly promoting the policy of intervening in Syria by supporting the ‘rebels’ who were killing and beheading, amongst others, Christians, including women and children. The same British Government under David Cameron, along with the controlled mainstream media, were trying to convince us that we should support the “moderate” Free Syrian Army’ that has now gone into partnership with ISIS. That is a well known fact in the Middle East, yet our mainstream media, along with the British Government, still tells the masses that the FSA are ‘moderates’. Take a look at the vehicles ISIS uses: the same Toyota pickup trucks that were supplied to the Libyan Islamists and ISIS by our ‘allies’ of the US Government.
You really need to look beyond the propaganda that is being force-fed to you. The forces of good and evil are at play here on Earth and, unfortunately, our devious political masters are on the side of evil. You however, are like the priests of old who told the destitute and starving to accept their suffering while they were being suppressed and beaten by a wealthy class who cared only for their own kind.
Dear Cranky
Do you believe in God?
Do you believe we are sinners in need?
Do you believe Jesus Christ who knew no sin was made sin for us that we might become the righteousness of God in Him? 2 Cor 5:21
Yes, I think you do.
He is the Potter, we are the clay.
Hitler, and Pol Pot were deluded into believing they were working in the interests of their followers. Should we judge them? No, God is the judge – so maybe I shouldn’t say ‘deluded’? (That’s a judgmental opinion). God judges them, they were motivated by hate, not love.
David Cameron, it seems, is motivated by popularity for his party. Maybe a war will bring accolades for him like it did for Maggie?
“Be still, and know that I am God, I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.” Ps.46.
Fear the second death, for Christ has the keys to death and hell.
Pray for the Christians of Syria and Iraq.
That’s not really a very fair comment, when we have just been committed to war against ISIL largely on the grounds that they are murdering innocent villagers, both Christian and Muslim.
It is true David Cameron was embarrassed by Parliament being against bombing Assad. So the comment is ‘fair’.
God has that man there for a purpose. He was a London eye surgeon and would not be where he is now had his brother not been killed in a car crash. It is not my place to judge him.
Stand still and watch God have the victory. He has a time and a purpose for the Christians in Syria who are under attack from ISIL.
We cannot be as concerned for tham as we would be if we knew them personally, but, if they are Christians, they’re our brothers and sisters in Christ. We need to pray.
The world was furious for Israel’s response to Gaza’s rocket attacks. I prayed there would be a distraction – and the media turned its attention to ISIL and the publicised atrocities. Was it my fault? No, but I was encouraged that God put it into my mind to pray that prayer when I did, and it happened.
This is the doctrine which I don’t understand, that God will have His victory, but only if we pray for Him to go ahead and have it, otherwise He is prepared to lose.
The mystery is that God is generous enough to let us share in his victory by our prayers and our actions for him. He calls us to pray, for example, for labourers in the harvest field. Does he not know the need? Would one prayer of the Lord Jesus not be worth a thousand of ours? Yes, and yet we are called to enter into his purpose and pray. (By the way, I am with the King James Version in not capitalising pronouns for deity).
Dear Rox
The Bible is the authority for what we believe.
Are you going to change it, because our culture says ‘racist’ ‘violent’ ‘inflamatory’?
What will you put your faith in? Who will you believe? How does God reveal His nature?
Ps.8. ‘O Lord our Lord, how excellent is Thy Name, in all the earth.’
Has God, who has made such an infinitely wonderful, balanced, regenerating creation of life and beauty, left His created beings ignorant of Himself? No, He has given us His word, the Bible. Like it, or not, it reveals the nature of God. His anger is but for a moment, His favour is for life.
“This is the Word of the Lord” “Thanks be to God”
Sorry, I had been led to believe that Christianity was a religion of love and peace, not of violence. So we are in the some position as with Islam. Some practitioners say that it is is a religion of peace, quoting the Koran, and others say that violence is essential, quoting the Koran.
Not really sure where you are getting that dichotomy from, Rox.
Certainly, we are mandated to defend ourselves and our families. It is not ‘loving’ to give up. ‘Peace’ is not being evicted from your home by Islamic State and their local Muslim supporters. Christians should not be passive:
Nehemiah 4:14 And I looked, and rose up, and said unto the nobles, and to the rulers, and to the rest of the people, Be not ye afraid of them: remember the Lord, which is great and terrible, and fight for your brethren, your sons, and your daughters, your wives, and your houses.
Luke 22:36 Then said he (Jesus) unto them, But now, he that hath a purse, let him take it, and likewise his scrip: and he that hath no sword, let him sell his garment, and buy one.
1Tim 5:8 But if any provide not for his own, and specially for those of his own house, he hath denied the faith, and is worse than an infidel.
Dear Rox
That’s the wonder of prophecy – God’s prophets were inspired, not knowing the end from the beginning – But God did!
