GCHQ’s retreat
The intelligence community’s retreat coincides with Stonewall’s financial troubles, exacerbated by reduced US funding.
President Donald Trump’s pledge to dismantle the “deep state” and cut wasteful government spending has had direct repercussions, with Stonewall losing one of its most significant financial backers: the US State Department.
Without this lifeline, “the charity” now scrambles to secure alternative revenue streams.

The UK’s hypocrisy on foreign influence
The UK government relentlessly criticises foreign meddling yet shamelessly injects its ideological agenda into other nations. Through the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO), Britain has committed a staggering £40 million to advance “LGBT+ rights globally.” This interventionist policy undermines national sovereignty, imposing Western values on societies with different cultural and religious foundations. Meanwhile, the same government claims outrage when external forces influence its internal affairs. If Britain truly valued non-interference, it would abandon its ideological exportation and focus on its own domestic challenges. Support Christian Voice →Stonewall’s waning influence
Once a dominant force claiming to shape workplace policies across Britain, Stonewall’s influence has sharply declined. The pandemic saw an exodus of government departments and corporations withdrawing from its diversity program, disillusioned by its increasing extremism. GCHQ is merely the latest in a growing list of institutions that have opted to cut ties, recognising the reputational and financial risks of continued affiliation. Even Britain’s intelligence services, long known for their embrace of progressive policies, have turned away. MI5, MI6, and GCHQ, all of which previously held high rankings in Stonewall’s employer index, have faded from the list in recent years. Institutions are no longer willing to pay exorbitant sums for ideological compliance, particularly when doing so undermines operational integrity and public trust. Tensions within the “Five Eyes” intelligence alliance have surfaced, exposing fractures among historically close allies. Meanwhile, in the US, Trump’s allies propose expelling Canada from the alliance, citing policy disagreements and economic disputes. These internal divisions highlight the fragility of Western intelligence partnerships once considered unshakable. As ideological rifts deepen, member nations are prioritising national interests over performative commitments to activism. Rather than clinging to outdated woke commitments, Western nations must address the growing threats of economic instability, cybersecurity, and geopolitical competition.Transgender clinics close in India after Trump cuts USAID
