A devout Christian social worker had a £25,000-a-year job offer revoked after his employer discovered his previous legal victory affirming his freedom of speech.
According to the Daily Mail, Felix Ngole faced expulsion from a social worker training course at Sheffield University after sharing a Facebook post that referenced Bible passages on the topic of same-sex marriage.
But in a major victory for free speech, he was allowed to return to his training when the Court of Appeal ruled in 2019 that Mr Ngole would ‘never discriminate against anyone’ because of his personal views.
The Mail on Sunday reported: ‘But now the father-of-three faces further hardship as a result of his religious beliefs. He successfully applied for a job at Leeds-based Touchstone Support as a mental health support worker but the offer was rescinded weeks later when the organisation discovered his involvement in the previous case. The company, which is backed by LGBT lobby group Stonewall, claimed his ‘strong views against homosexuality’ did not align with its ‘ethos and values’.
‘It argued Mr Ngole posed a ‘significant risk’ to its patients and reputation and it would only consider employing him if he gave assurances that he would ’embrace and promote LGBT rights’.
‘Mr Ngole told The Mail on Sunday how senior staff at Touchstone had ‘interrogated’ him over his Christian values in a second interview after accepting the role. ‘It was an attack on my faith,’ Mr Ngole said.’
Freedom of Speech NOT free
In recent times, we have seen Christians being attacked for exercising their basic human right to expressing personal views/opinion and maintain Biblical standards.
A Christian teacher was suspended indefinitely from teaching in any sixth-form college in England for addressing a girl as a girl.
The former teacher identified as Joshua Sutcliffe, admitted to not using the pupil’s preferred pronouns and said he was “devastated” by the ruling, but owes no apology.
Apart from the allegations of “misgendering a pupil”, Mr Sutcliffe was also found in the wrong for expressing views against gay marriage when questioned by a pupil.
He plans to appeal and is being supported by the Christian Legal Centre.
The Bible says,
John 8:32 And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.
A trend
In 2020, a Christian school assistant who was dismissed for criticising the introduction of teaching about LGBT relationships in primary schools on her Facebook post, lost her case at the tribunal.
Farmor’s School in Fairford, Gloucestershire, claimed the reason for Kristie Higgs’ dismissal was based on “gross misconduct”.
In the hearing at Bristol employment tribunal, her legal team argued that her dismissal breached her freedom of speech and freedom of religion.
In 2019 , a local paper reported that a Christian doctor lost his job after refusing to refer to transgender people by their preferred pronouns.
Dr David Mackereth also lost his appeal at an employment tribunal in Birmingham to challenge a legal judgment on the basis of religious discrimination and harassment.
Hypocrisy
It is hypocritical to ban men who claim to be women from spotting competitions, and in another breath fault people who hold a different opinions about these things.

A senior British Army officer has been forced to quit after being criticised for repeating the view that “men cannot be women”.
Colonel Dr Kelvin Wright, 54, had been a Reservist commanding officer with 14 years of unblemished service, including two tours in Afghanistan, before his honour was attacked with a “transphobia” complaint and an investigation he described as “hellish”.
In May, he shared a post on his private Facebook account from Fair Play for Women, a campaign group that works with governing bodies to preserve women’s sports for those born female, which consisted of a quote from Helen Joyce, a feminist campaigner backed by the author JK Rowling.
According to the Telegraph, the quote shared without any additional comment said: ‘If women cannot stand in a public place and say, ‘men cannot be women’, then we do not have women’s rights at all.’ This means Colonel Wright has been forced out of the British Army because it is the policy of the Ministry of Defence, that ‘trans-women’ (men, in other words) are women.

Defence Secretary responds
Defence Secretary Ben Wallace MP has said it was “rubbish and untrue” to suggest Dr Wright had been forced out and the investigation had “nothing to do with his views”.

Emails to Dr Wright, seen by the Telegragh, show the investigating officer in his case referred specifically to the transgender policy.
On examination, ‘Ministry of Defence (MOD) Policy is completely pro-trans and accepts the validity of no other view whatsoever.
It is called JSP 889 ‘Policy for the Recruitment and Management of Transgender Personnel in the Armed Forces.’ It adopts all the language of trans activists and even recommends their groups with not a balancing word. Read it for yourself here and do a Ctrl-F search in it for the words ‘women’ and ‘affirmed’.
Mr. Wallace has been very badly advised to claim Col Dr Wright’s “views are NOT contrary to Army policy.” They plainly are. And MOD policy is His Majesty’s Government policy.
Government’s double standards
In contrast to the dithering HMG, UK Athletics (UKA) placed a ban on transgender athletes from competing in the female category across all its events.

The decision came two months after UKA claimed that it wanted to implement a ban, to protect the female category, but feared it would be too “risky” to do so unless the government changed the law.
The rule, which came after World Athletics announced a ban at the international level, became active for all UKA-licensed events from midnight on 31 March 2023.
In a statement, UKA said it believed that it “is fair for athletes who have gone through male puberty to be excluded from the female category in athletics” but that “athletics should remain an inclusive sport”.
Leaders stuck with the definition of a woman

Labour opposition leader Sir Keir Starmer couldn’t define a ‘woman’. And now, nor can His Majesty’s Government. The Conservatives have been in office for thirteen years.
Further, Labour’s frontbenchers in the past have also been unable to define what a woman is, with one saying the issue is a “rabbit hole”.
Yvette Cooper and Anneliese Dodds, two of Labour’s frontbench MPs, both declined to give a definition of a woman on International Women’s Day earlier this year.
For reference purposes, here is the Bible’s definition of a woman, Genesis 2:22-23 And the rib, which the LORD God had taken from man, made he a woman and brought her unto the man…And Adam said, This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man.
Meanwhile, when David Cameron became Prime Minister in 2010 the Gender Recognition Act 2004 was six years old. Nevertheless, trans ideology has only really got going on their watch.

Recently, a school identified as Rye College is still under investigation by the Department for Education (DfE) over an identity row. This comes as a teacher called a pupil’s views despicable during an argument over another allegedly identifying as a cat.
Prime Minister Rishi Sunak even said he was deeply concerned about the content of sex education being taught to some pupils.
In March 2023, Mr Sunak pledged to put forward a review of statutory guidance on Relationships and Sex Education (RSE), in light of the “safeguarding scandal” of inappropriate materials being used in schools.
Therefore, it is conflicting to see that so much energy is put into ensuring children’s identities, as well as women’s rights, are protected, and gender clinics shut down, whilst, on the other hand, a member of the British Army cannot have an opinion nor stand by what he believes.
The Bible says, Prov 25:5 Take away the wicked from before the king, and his throne shall be established in righteousness.
Not to be swept under the carpet
Under the Tories’ implementation of gender-neutral toilets in schools, there have been reports of incidents where girls have been assaulted by a boy in a school in Essex. Additionally, the party has drafted sex education guidance allowing children to ‘transition’ if their parents can be persuaded to agree. Further, they now preside over teenage girls with mental and emotional problems deciding in droves they are really boys.
It is they who have allowed the child abuse of puberty blockers and mutilatory double mastectomies for vulnerable young girls at the age of sixteen, which so many are now bitterly regretting and accusing the adults who advised them of failing in their duty to safeguard them.
It is the Conservatives who allow sex educators to indoctrinate children with lies that parents are not even allowed to see.

Created male or female
At the moment, anyone can apply to be recognised as the opposite sex from the one he or she was born as. Under the Gender Recognition Act 2004 contents , all they need is an opinion from two doctors, one an expert in ‘gender dysphoria’.
Logically, the government should be offering help to such people to come to terms with their real gender. Rather, the UK Government has made it even easier for emotionally-challenged individuals to declare they have changed sex.
The Bible says,
Lev 26:21 And if ye walk contrary unto me, and will not hearken unto me; I will bring seven times more plagues upon you according to your sins.
Also, the Bible says, Psalm 9:17 The wicked shall be turned into hell, and all the nations that forget God.
Unless His Majesty’s Government repent and turn back to God, that is where our nation is headed.

A girl referred to the controversial Tavistock transgender clinic when she was 15 is the latest to express feeling like a “mutilated experiment gone wrong,” following the double mastectomy she underwent to remove her healthy breasts.

According to the Telegraph, Jasmine decided to ‘identify’ as a boy. She has since returned to seeing herself, correctly, as female. She now considers her original decision was a mistake made as a child but she adds “part of the onus is on the professionals that treated me”.
Jasmine said health professionals saw her at the clinic just three times. From the age of 17, Tavistock’s Gender Identity Development Service (GIDS) patients were transferred to adult services where they could then undergo the mutilatory ‘gender reassignment surgery’.
At her second 45-minute appointment at the adult clinic, she said she was referred to be prescribed cross-sex hormones and put on the waiting list for “top surgery”, a mastectomy. She now says this did not “help” or “fix” her but “made things a lot worse”.
Chloe Cole tells the US Congress of the ‘lifelong, irreversible harm’ she suffered at the hands of ‘gender-affirming’ rouge surgeons.
In the United States, a US House of Congress Judiciary Subcommittee heard similar harrowing evidence from Chloe Cole. Chloe testified before the House on 27th July 2023. She too had her healthy breasts removed after charlatan doctors asked her parents if they would prefer a live son to a dead daughter. Chloe says she was never suicidal. What was done to her, as to Jasmine, was barbaric. VIDEO HERE
At the hearing, Rep. Harriet Hageman (R-Wyo.) insisted that there is no such thing as a ‘successful sex-change operation’. The hearing was called to discuss “gender-affirming care” for children, which is gender activists’ language for the unethical, ungodly transition pathway. VIDEO HERE
Chloe Cole pleaded with those present at the hearing: “Please let me be your final warning.”
It is becoming clearer by the day (and see the scriptural witness below) that the doctors and surgeons involved in such an abuse of medicine should be struck off and such practices made illegal. In years to come people will look back at this evil not just as rebellion from the Almighty, but as one of the greatest medical scandals of our time, a point well made in the Telegraph on 4th August 2023 by Camilla Tominey.
Tavistock gender clinic services halted
On 28th July 2022, the NHS ordered the closure of the Central Transgender clinic by spring 2023. This follows a damning report published as part of an independent review by Dr Hilary Cass, a consultant paediatrician and former president of the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health.

Dr Cass concluded that the NHS’s clinic for transgender children was “not safe” and that there needed to be a “fundamentally different” service.
The (GIDS) is due to close in 2024, a year later than first planned. Two regional hubs will replace it. Our concern is they may employ the same people and adopt the same ethos until the Government steps in to ban these medical and surgical procedures entirely.
The demand for Tavistock services and children seeking help increased exponentially in the decade to 2020 but, after the Cass review was highly critical of referrals for the prescribing of puberty blockers and the clinic’s waiting times, the service was ordered to close. Activists claim thousands of children are now stuck in ‘medical limbo’, but they may just avoid the terrible consequences of the ‘GIDS pathway’.
Risks of Puberty Blockers
The adverse effects of administering puberty blockers to children or facilitating gender changes cannot be overstated. In the past, deaths resulting from “vaginoplasty” surgery have been recorded along with multiple regrets related to the use of “puberty blockers” in the name of treating “gender dysphoria” .
Even the NHS, on its website, admits that there are effects of hormone blockers which include suppression of body features. It is worth noting that trans-activist ‘charity’ Mermaids wrongly claim there are no long-term effects.
The Bible well describes the doctors and surgeons involved: Job 13:14 But ye are forgers of lies, ye are all physicians of no value.
Meanwhile, In our previous article, we reported that the Tavistock Clinic’s Gender Identity Development Service (GIDS) has been administering puberty blockers to children as the treatment for “gender dysphoria” since 2011. These also ruined the life of Keira Bell.

Keira’s needs should have been addressed at a psychological, emotional and dare we say a spiritual level. She too had her perfectly healthy breasts removed and suffers from a deepened voice as a result of the hormones inflicted on her. Her experience, like that of Jasmine, highlight the perils of the ‘medical transition’ which follows the ‘social transitioning’ in which adolescent girls start using male pronouns and demand to be called by boys’ names.
The revelations shared by Jasmine, Keira Bell, and concerned parents are concrete evidence that children should receive genuine care instead of being encouraged towards any form of injections or surgeries. We need to pray for the UK governments to ban these satanic pathways which are destroying lives.
The Biblical witness
These girls lives have been destroyed. The Lord Jesus said: John 10:10 The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.
Plainly these girls, and boys who have endured similar treatment, have been lied to. Again the Lord Jesus said, and this must apply to the trans activists and doctors: John 8:44 Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.
How they need to hear the truth, that they were created bodily just fine and that it is sin which corrupts and distorts the soul, not puberty: John 8:32 And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.

How dare anyone say that God had it wrong and that he or she knows better: Isa 45:9 Woe unto him that striveth with his Maker! Let the potsherd strive with the potsherds of the earth. It follows that the manufacturers, pharmacists, doctors and surgeons making money out of this abomination are charlatans, prescribing treatments that are worse than worthless: Matthew 9:12 But when Jesus heard that, he said unto them, They that be whole need not a physician, but they that are sick.

A Tory MP has proposed a new law that would oblige schools and third-party sex educators to disclose sex education lesson plans and materials to parents.
Mrs Cates has warned that sex education lessons have become a “wild west”. She is proposing the legislation to create a legal duty for English schools to share materials used in relationships and sex education lessons with parents.
The legislation would also prevent schools from using unpublished materials if they are produced by a third-party provider.
It comes after a 47-year-old mum, Clare Page, lost a legal battle to see the sex education lesson plan used at her daughter’s school, even though the Education Secretary wrote to all schools in England telling them to disclose such lessons. Judge Sophie Buckley acknowledged Gillian Keegan’s letter only to ignore it. She ruled that the commercial interests of the third-party sex education provider outweighed the public interest in forcing the school to release the lesson plan under freedom of information laws.
Hence Miriam Cates’ Bill. However, firstly, without Government time the Bill stands no chance of becoming law. Its Second Reading might not even happen this year. Secondly, the Bill defines ‘publish’ as merely available to ministers and the media for a fee. True transparency demands all sex education material be openly and freely published to all. What do the sex educators have to hide? As our Lord said:
John 3:20 For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved.
Trans Guidance ‘political disaster’

In a separate development, the Telegraph reports that a long-awaited draft government guidance on whether children can ‘self identify’ as the opposite sex at school has been denounced as a ‘political disaster’.
Education Secretary Gillian Keegan’s draft guidance would allow children to adopt false pronouns if their parents agree. That would not only be weak, be damaging to children, put pressure on parents to ‘conform’ to trans ideology, and be an abrogation of the duty of care all adults should have for children, but fly in the face of scripture. The Bible says,
Gen 1:27 And God created Adam in his image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them.
Isa 29:16 Surely your turning of things upside down shall be esteemed as the potter’s clay: for shall the work say of him that made it, He made me not? or shall the thing framed say of him that framed it, He had no understanding?
A spokesperson for the Prime Minister said: ‘Children should not be influenced by the personal views of teachers when discussing transgender issues.’
Just to be clear, “transgenderism” has no place in children’s education . There should be no discussion of “transgenderism” in schools at all.
We may be certain trans activists will respond to Ms Keegan’s forthcoming consultation to argue that it is up to children themselves whether they want to tell their parents about embarking on a self-destructive path.
Clearly, it is the ideology driving them. They care nothing for the children involved. The Bible says: Proverbs 12:10 A righteous man regardeth the life of his beast: but the tender mercies of the wicked are cruel.
College investigated for Student identifying as cat
A school identified as Rye College is being investigated by the Department for Education (DfE) after a teacher called a pupil’s views despicable during a row over another allegedly identifying as a cat.
According the Telegraph, children at the school in East Sussex were reprimanded last week for refusing to accept their classmate’s decision to self-identify as a cat.

The children were told they would be reported to a senior leader after their teacher said they had “really upset” the fellow pupil by telling her: “You’re a girl.”
In the meantime, Christian Voice contacted a number of unrelated Schools all in England and Wales for a comment on the subject, but they are yet to respond.
It has emerged that students in British schools are now allowed to identify as dinosaurs, horses, or even a moon. However, teachers have been warned by the government to treat these incidents as safeguarding issues. However, the warnings lack teeth.
Downing Street has said that head teachers should intervene to stop children identifying as moons, cats, or other “neo-genders”. But yet again, this is not a statutory requirement, merely advice and ‘guidance’.
The Bible says, Jeremiah 51:7 Babylon hath been a golden cup in the Lord’s hand, that made all the earth drunken: the nations have drunken of her wine; therefore the nations are mad.

We acknowledge the Prime Minister’s declared effort to prioritise these safeguarding issues and restore sanity. However, we must say that it is not enough and shows the government have lost control of education and the whole LGBT debate.
Ministers and teachers are adults and should prevent unbiblical matters like “gender identity”, “gender reassignment”, “same-sex relationships” from intruding into children’s minds if they are to grow up as well-balanced individuals and if society itself is not to destroy itself.
The Bible says, 1Cor 13:11 When I was a child, I spoke as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child; but when I became a man, I put away childish things.
Deut 6:6-7; Prov 16:12, 25:5, 29:14; Ezek 16:49-50; Matthew 18:1-10; Ephesians 6:4; 1 John 3: 7-8. We thank God for this step by Mr Sunak and his ministers and MPs, but must continue to pray without ceasing for our leaders to repent for God’s institution of the family to be honoured and for our children to be protected. Pray also for Clare Page and her family to be emboldened and strengthened.

The Bible declares that private property should be respected. The right to live in peace in your own home is a Biblical fundamental: Jdg 8:29 And Jerubbaal the son of Joash went and dwelt in his own house.
The psalmist says to dwell in safety is God-given: Psalm 4:8 I will both lay me down in peace, and sleep: for thou, LORD, only makest me dwell in safety.
In the days of Solomon, people dwelling safely in their own place was a sign of national security: 1Kings 4:25 And Judah and Israel dwelt safely, every man under his vine and under his fig tree, from Dan even to Beersheba, all the days of Solomon.
Indeed, the same picture is used of freedom, peace and security in the millennial Kingdom: Micah 4:4 But they shall sit every man under his vine and under his fig tree; and none shall make them afraid: for the mouth of the LORD of hosts hath spoken it.
Way back in the book of Job, this is said to be the portion of the righteous: Job 11:19 Also thou shalt lie down, and none shall make thee afraid; yea, many shall make suit unto thee.
Alexa, Let Me In!
Even when the Apostle Paul was under house arrest in Rome, two thousand years ago, he still had a right to occupy and enjoy his own home: Acts 28:30 And Paul dwelt two whole years in his own hired house, and received all that came in unto him,
But today, Amazon will make you afraid if you have let them run your home. Offend Alexa and you might not be receiving anyone. According to the Daily Sceptic, a paper has reported that Amazon shut down a customer’s ‘smart home’ for a week after a delivery driver claimed he heard a racial slur coming through the doorbell, even though no one was home.
Brandon Jackson, of Baltimore, Maryland, came home on 25th May 2023 to find that he had been locked out of his Amazon Echo. This is an online account, which his household devices, even his lights, were connected to.

He later learned Amazon had locked him out of his account after the delivery driver reported the alleged ‘bell’ incident. Amazon’s normally chatty robot voice, ‘Alexa’, fell silent.
An Amazon representative directed him to an email he received from an executive that provided a phone number to call. When he called the number, he was told in a “somewhat accusatory” tone that the driver had reported “receiving racist remarks” from his doorbell.
But Mr Jackson is black, as are most of the neighborhood and its delivery drivers. After reviewing the doorbell footage, he learned the device had given an automatic reply, saying: “Excuse me, can I help you?” He also said the video showed the driver had been wearing headphones during the interaction and “must have misinterpreted the message”.
Mr Jackson was completely locked out of his account and it was “rendered unusable during their internal investigation” for six days.
The householder said the incident had “led me to question my relationship with Amazon”.
Who lets Amazon control their home?
But what kind of person lets the Amazon behemoth control their home? Enough of us, apparently, to warrant a website, ‘home-connect.com’ to promote it.

Depending on the available skills, you can communicate with Alexa via voice and use the display for the interaction with your connected appliances. Start programs, change appliance settings, receive status updates and notifications or create individual routines.’

Or: ‘Would you like to turn on the coffee machine and enjoy your favorite coffee? Just say: “ Alexa, tell my coffee machine to turn on ” and follow it up with: ” Alexa, tell my coffee machine I want a large, strong Cappuccino “.’ Sign up to Amazon and it’s possible you soon might have a yearning for something even stronger.
If you ‘Want to know what is going on in your home? Alexa will find out for you. Ask: “Alexa, ask my washer for the status ” and she’ll let you know how long the washing machine in the basement has been running for. Need to know when it will finish? “ Alexa, ask my washer when the laundry will be done.” Just a few words and you are all caught up.’
As, indeed, was Mr Jackson. Dramatically all caught up, in fact.
‘When you talk, she hears you’
How creepy is this about Alexa: ‘When you talk, she hears you.’ Well, so long as the delivery driver does not feel insulted by your door-bell, that is.
It’s all sold on peace of mind and convenience. For example, you can turn on your central heating from work so the house is nice and warm when you return. Or a ‘smart’ slow cooker. And so on.
It’s all a bit ‘The Machine Stops’ or ‘The Matrix’. Machines running everything for you. Until they don’t. And what will Amazon do to Mr Jackson when Alexa goes full AI?
Maybe then Alexa will turn down his central heating to the level the State has told Amazon is appropriate. Or perhaps it will switch off his power altogether if Alexa has heard him say something she considers to be ‘wrong-think’, like ‘trans-women are men’. After all, ‘When you talk, she hears you.’
Paying too high a price
The humble Centurion seeking healing for his servant told our Lord:
Luke 7:8 For I also am a man set under authority, having under me soldiers, and I say unto one, Go, and he goeth; and to another, Come, and he cometh; and to my servant, Do this, and he doeth it.

Is there a danger in future he could tell Alexa ‘Come’ and she goeth? It is a good job Amazon were not running things in Bible times. We read:
John 20:10 Then the disciples went away again unto their own home.
Only to find ‘Alexa’ had locked them out. So let us be careful and as wise as serpents,
Eph 5:16 Redeeming the time, because the days are evil.
This could be a salutary tale. Are we paying too high a price for convenience? Can you not make a hot drink yourself? Are there not more important things in life than knowing how much time your washing machine has left? Studying that ‘good old way’ and following the Lord Jesus, for example?
Luke 10:41 And Jesus answered and said unto her, Martha, Martha, thou art careful and troubled about many things: 42 But one thing is needful: and Mary hath chosen that good part, which shall not be taken away from her.
Isaiah 55:6 Seek ye the LORD while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near:
Pray that a generation will arise seeking after real peace of mind, found, not in Alexa, but in Jesus.

A mother-of-three, or mother-of-five if you count all the children it appears she has conceived. has been convicted of inducing an abortion outside the legal limit using abortion pills at home she acquired by lying to abortion provider BPAS.
The BBC reported the 44-year-old was initially charged with child destruction, which she denied. She then pleaded guilty to an offence under Section 58 of the Offences Against the Person Act 1861.
Carla Foster was sentenced on Monday 12th June 2023 to 28 months, 14 of which will be spent in custody with the remainder out on licence.
And right on cue, the pro-abortion agitators circling around the case have descended like vultures, seizing their opportunity to make the pro-abortion case.

Careful Planning
Mrs Foster was between 32 and 34 weeks pregnant when she took medication acquired via the “pills by post” scheme introduced during lockdown, Stoke-on-Trent Crown Court heard.
Abortion is legal in England and Wales up to 24 weeks gestation. After 10 weeks the ‘procedure’ must be carried out in a clinic. The “pills by post” scheme, introduced in lockdown, allows babies up to 10 weeks to be killed at home.
Prosecutors told the court Mrs Foster had provided false information knowing she was over the time limit. She had made online searches which they said indicated ‘careful planning’.
The court heard between February and May 2020 she had searched ‘how to hide a pregnancy bump’, ‘how to have an abortion without going to the doctor’ and ‘how to lose a baby at six months’. She was well aware of how advanced she was when she told the British Pregnancy Advisory Service (BPAS) she was seven weeks pregnant in order to acquire the tablets.
On 11th May 2020, having taken the abortion pills, she called 999 at 18:39 BST saying she was in labour. The baby, named Lily, was born not breathing during the phone call and was confirmed dead about 45 minutes later.
A post-mortem examination recorded Lily’s cause of death as stillbirth and maternal use of abortion drugs. She, Lily that is, was estimated to be between 32 and 34 weeks’ gestation.
Usual suspects
Caroline Nokes MP
Almost immediately the vultures came down. Carla Foster’s conviction and imprisonment brought out the usual suspects arguing for an ‘overhaul’ of criminal abortion laws.
They ranged from MPs Caroline Nokes (Con) and Diana Johnson and Stella Creasy (Lab), the head of UK abortion giant British Pregnancy Advisory Service Ann Furedi, and radio broadcaster Iain Dale. Every one referred to abortion as ‘medical care’. They have to lie. It’s a poison.
‘Scrap this unjust verdict, scrap this law: no woman should go to prison for having an abortion’ headed Stella Creasy’s article in the Guardian: ‘The lord chancellor should intervene to commute this sentence. Women’s rights over their own bodies are under threat,’ she raged. No, just women’s supposed ‘rights’ over their baby’s life.
The Rt Hon Caroline Nokes has been a minister and now chairs the House of Commons equalities committee. She is a Privy Councillor. The Bible says:
Prov 25:5 Take away the wicked from before the king, and his throne shall be established in righteousness.
The Conservative MP told the BBC the 1861 law used to prosecute mother-of-three Carla Foster was “out of date”. Parliament should ‘debate overhauling the abortion rules’ she said.
Writing in the Daily Telegraph, Iain Dale began by heading: ‘Abortion jail sentences are a public scandal’. Not ‘abortion is a public scandal’ but ‘jail sentences’. He went on: ‘No one, let alone a desperate woman, should be criminalised in this manner in a 21st-century liberal society.’ By way of clarification he asserted: ‘I am certainly not arguing for abortion on demand, as some pro-abortion advisory groups do. That way lies madness.’
In Spiked-Online, right on cue, came BPAS CEO Ann Furedi, not apologising for supplying the pills but arguing for abortion on demand: ‘The imprisonment of this poor woman shows just how important it is to decriminalise abortion once and for all.’ Ms Furedi even called the judge in support: ‘As the judge himself put it: “If the medical profession considers that judges are wrong to imprison women who procure a late abortion outside the 24-week limit, then it should lobby parliament to change that law”.’
Pro-abort bodies lobbied judge
That quote Mrs Furedi gave of Mr Justice (Sir Edward) Pepperall was quite disingenuous, but what should we expect of one condemned in the Bible in these terms:
Deut 27:25 Cursed be he that taketh reward to slay an innocent person. And all the people shall say, Amen.
Prov 6:16 These six things doth the LORD hate: yea, seven are an abomination unto him: 17 A proud look, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood, …
Mr Justice (Sir Edward) Pepperall
What happened, as Sir Edward’s judgment stated, was that: ‘Unusually the court has received a letter dated 6 April 2023 from the President of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists, the Chief Executive of the Royal College of Midwives, the President of the Faculty of Sexual & Reproductive Healthcare, the President of the Faculty of Public Health, the Chair of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists’ Abortion Taskforce, the Clinical Lead and a Clinical Representative for the Abortion Care Guideline developed by the National Institute for Health Care Excellence, and the Co-Chair of the British Society of Adoption and Care Providers.’
Mr Justice Pepperall told Mrs Foster: ‘The letter urges a non-custodial sentence and indicates that its authors are concerned that your imprisonment might deter other women from accessing telemedical abortion services and other late-gestation women from seeking medical care or from being open and honest with medical professionals. The letter also regrets a recent increase in investigations following late-gestation deliveries, and even suggests that one of the letter’s authors might appear before the court to present their plea in person.’
Judge scathing of campaigners
His Honour was scathing about the eminent authors of the letter: ‘It would plainly not have been appropriate to have allowed any of the authors to address the court. Indeed, I consider that it would have been better if the letter had not been written at all.’
Inappropriate: Dr Ranee Thakar, President of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RCOG)
The judge went on refer to the authors, some indeed from Royal Colleges, as pro-abortion lobbyists: ‘While it provides me with some useful information about the delivery of telemedicine services, the letter also has the capacity to be seen as special pleading by those who favour wider access to abortions and is, in my judgment, just as inappropriate as it would be for a judge to receive a letter from one of the groups campaigning for more restrictive laws and which might seek to argue that it is important that the law is upheld by passing a deterrent sentence.’
His Honour concluded: ‘My duty as a judge is to apply the law as provided by Parliament and clarified by the Court of Appeal. If the medical profession considers that judges are wrong to imprison women who procure a late abortion outside the 24-week limit then it should lobby Parliament to change that law and not judges who are charged with the duty of applying the law.’
The Court of Appeal case
The judge’s reference to ‘the Court of Appeal’ needs clarification.
His Honour was referring to R v. Catt [2013] EWCA Crim 1187 which you can read here. In short, Sarah Louise Catt was sentenced to three and a half years. She had aborted her baby using the same abortifacients, mifepristone and misoprostol.
Like Carla Foster, Sarah Catt had been searching online for information about late abortions, and whether she could be charged with child destruction is she succeeded.
As the Guardian reported at the time, the 36-year-old, from Sherburn-in-Elmet, North Yorkshire, was around 40 weeks pregnant when she took the drugs she bought on the internet to induce her labour. She claimed the baby was stillborn and buried his body – but has to this day not revealed its whereabouts.
Mr Justice Cooke, sentencing her at Leeds crown court in September 2012, said the seriousness of the crime lay between manslaughter and murder. He said she would have been charged with murder if the baby had been born a few days later and she had then killed him.
He jailed Sarah Catt for eight years, which Lady Justice Rafferty reduced on appeal.
What did Lily look like?
What does a baby of 32 weeks look like? I’ll give you a clue. Like one of us. That’s why it’s a question the likes of Caroline Nokes, Diana Johnson, Stella Creasy, Iain Dale and Ann Furedi never ask. They never respond to the question, ‘What exactly is it growing in a woman’s womb?’ ‘Is it a human being? If not, then what is it?’ The psalmist knew:
Psa 139:13 For thou hast possessed my reins: thou hast covered me in my mother’s womb. 15 My substance was not hid from thee, when I was made in secret, and curiously wrought in the lowest parts of the earth. 16 Thine eyes did see my substance, yet being unperfect; and in thy book all my members were written, which in continuance were fashioned, when as yet there was none of them.

As did the writer of Ecclesiastes:
Eccl 11:5 As thou knowest not what is the way of the spirit, nor how the bones do grow in the womb of her that is with child: even so thou knowest not the works of God who maketh all.
Both of them knew, three thousand years ago, without the benefit of ultrasound, that a human baby was growing in what should be the safest place on earth. The psalmist even says that was ‘me’. ‘I was made in secret’.
Each one of us, the chairman of the RCOG included, was knit together in our mother’s womb. Our inward parts and organs were all made. Our bones grew, in a way we can not even comprehend.
The Natural Childbirth Trust says: ‘At 32 weeks pregnant, your baby is about 40.5cm long and weighs about 1.6kg.’ In Imperial: 16” and 3lb 8oz.
UK abortion law is extreme
In the Telegraph, Allison Pearson reminds us how extreme the UK’s laws actually are: ‘You rarely hear this discussed, but the UK is out of step with the majority of European countries where the median time limit for abortion is just 12 weeks. Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, Latvia, Germany, Italy, Greece, all have a 12-week upper limit. France and Spain are slightly higher at 14 weeks.
‘Liberal Sweden is 18 weeks. Only the Netherlands has the same 24-week limit as the UK (the date when the foetus is considered viable outside the mother’s body) although, in practice, Dutch doctors apply a two-week margin of error, and stick to a time limit of 22 weeks.’
Indeed, not long ago we were reporting on tiny San Marino legalising abortion. The limit there is 12 weeks. Of course a mother is still carrying a genetically-distinct, even a tiny human being visually-recognisable on ultra-sound at that point. However, as gestational weeks turn to months, the UK is permitting abortion at a moment when that baby could live outside its mother’s womb. The Bible says:
Numb 35:33 So ye shall not pollute the land wherein ye are: for blood it defileth the land: and the land cannot be cleansed of the blood that is shed therein, but by the blood of him that shed it.
The campaigners are right that the law needs changing, but to safeguard human life, not more easily to end it.
Age of the law
A common thread in the pro-death camp concerns the 1861 Offences Against the Person Act. It is decried as ‘Victorian’ and is therefore ‘outdated’.
However, our laws against treason and murder, theft and perjury go back even further. Shall we scrap them too? As to the penalty, the law prohibits things that it does not want to happen. If not prison then what? A fine? Probation?
The common theme is soundbites coupled with a lack of reason and clarity. They dress inhumanity up as compassion. Never do they recognise that there is a second genetically-unique human being in the abortion equation, one made in the image of God:
Gen 9:6 Whoso sheddeth man’s blood, by man shall his blood be shed: for in the image of God made he man.
Prayer
How many human beings, with their gifts and talents, creative abilities and skills, have never been born although conceived by the grace of God? How many have we lost and never been able to ask them:
Esther 4:14b and who knoweth whether thou art come to the kingdom for such a time as this?
Pray for our parliamentarians to know the scriptures and to seek after truth and life, not lies and death:
Deut 30:19 I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live:
Pray against the abortion activists picking over the case for their advantage.
Matt 24:28 For wheresoever the carcase is, there will the eagles be gathered together.
Finally, while we pray against the constant pressure for decriminalisation and for abortion to remain a crime, (a crime which the Abortion Act 1967 disgracefully permits under certain easily-achieved circumstances), please pray earnestly for a UK MP to bring in a ‘heart-beat’ bill. Only then will the parameters of the debate begin to change from ‘how many weeks’ to ‘is that my fellow human being?’.

A father is taking legal action against the national health service(NHS) to stop surgeons from performing sex-change surgery on his “vulnerable” autistic son.
According to the Telegraph, the parent says that both Tavistock and NHS England’s “adult gender identity services” failed to explore issues surrounding his son’s autism, anxiety, and mental health and instead rushed his child down a path of “experimental treatment”.

On Saturday, June 10th, 2023, a 21-year-old boy with special needs, who requires professional care, is sadly being reduced to a lab rat scheduled to undergo surgery. The procedure is a “vaginoplasty” surgery which involves removing male genitalia and creating female parts.
‘We were just devastated when we heard he was getting surgery,’ his father said. He believes those with autism and developmental delays should not be able to consent to “surgery until at least 25”.
Meanwhile, we say there should be no mutilation, as it is an unnecessary, ungodly, and pure perversion of medicine. Even Scottish Autism said: ‘Autistic individuals are likely to have a different way of processing information. They have difficulty understanding and responding to the perspective of others.’
As the Bible says, Job 13:4 But ye are forgers of lies, ye are all physicians of no value.
According to the father of the autistic boy, ‘puberty blockers and cross-sex hormones administered by Tavistock actually worsened his son’s mental health’.
Meanwhile, when the boy was 13, he began attending Tavistock child gender clinic in London and was prescribed puberty-blocking drugs against his parents’ wishes at 16.
‘They were continually affirming him. I don’t think the adult services have taken into account his autism and fragile mental health.
‘He had a lot of self-harm and at least one suicide attempt that we know of,’ the father said.
Another young autistic man is himself suing the NHS over ‘gender surgery’ which should never have been done.
Transgender clinic shut down by NHS
The Tavistock Centre
The NHS ordered the closure of the Central Transgender clinic by spring 2023, based on an interim report by Dr. Hilary Cass, a former president at the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health, on 28th July 2022
According to the BBC, the closure includes Tavistock and Portman NHS Foundation Trust. The announcement was made in response to multiple allegations by parents and whistleblowers.
Their concerns were based on the clinic’s capacity, competence, and long-term negative effects of treatment on teenagers.
In several European countries, doctors moved to ban the use of puberty lockers for children and adolescents. According to the Daily Mail, 13 adolescents who were administered puberty blockers appeared to have adverse reactions in Sweden.
Moreover, the gender clinic in the UK is facing mass legal action from children who allege they were pressured into taking life-altering puberty blockers. The gender identity development service (GIDS) at the Tavistock and Portman NHS Trust has been accused by families of multiple failures in its duty of care.
Vaginoplasty surgery NOT safe
In September 2021, Tavistock and Portman NHS Foundation Trust were taken to court by Keira Bell, a 24-year-old female who began taking “puberty blockers” when she was 16 before “de-transitioning”.

Keira Bell regretted the entire transition process of being injected with “puberty blockers”, and says the clinic did not give her the right care.
Ms. Bell’s experience highlighted the perils of “medical transition”.
Moreso, A 16-year-old boy who had “vaginoplasty” surgery in a vain attempt to “change his gender” died from an infection. His death resulted from hormone blockers administered by Dutch researchers.
Moreso, our research online show that sex mutilation does not adequately address the psychosocial difficulties faced by people who identify as transgender. Even when the procedures are successful technically and cosmetically, and in cultures that are relatively “trans-friendly,” ‘transitioners’ still face poor outcomes.
According to Dr. Paul McHugh, a professor of psychiatry at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine: ‘Transgendered’ men do not become women, nor do ‘transgendered’ women become men.’

It is no longer news that parents have a crucial role to play in the upbringing of their children. However, the statement must not become cliche.
The Bible says Lo, children are an heritage of the LORD: and the fruit of the womb is his reward.
The father of the aforementioned 21-year-old boy has spoken up for his son. He has done this by taking legal action against this scandalous mutilation, alongside Ritchie Herron, an autistic “detransitioner” who says that gender reassignment surgery has ruined his body forever.
They accuse NHS England of failing to provide appropriate treatment for adults with “gender dysphoria” and to put in safeguards for the disproportionate number of people who believe they are “trans” and are also on the autism spectrum.
Now more than ever, we must put them in our prayers and believe in God for a victory.
Read and Pray Deuteronomy 5:29, 6:6-7; Proverbs 1:8-9; Proverbs 17:6; ; Isaiah 54:13; Matthew 18:1-3; Matthew 19:14; Ephesians 6:4; 3 John 1:4.
Pray for the father to have victory in the court and the mutilation not to go ahead on Saturday. Pray for parents dealing with children with special needs. Pray for the wisdom of God on parents dealing with teenagers.

A Christian teacher has been stopped indefinitely from teaching in any sixth-form college or children’s home in England for “misgendering” a pupil.
Joshua Sutcliffe, 33, was banned from the teaching profession for addressing a girl as a girl.
Truth is fallen
According to the Telegraph, the Teaching Regulation Authority (TRA) ruled that Mr Sutcliffe had failed to treat a pupil with “dignity and respect”. They also claim he failed to protect the pupil’s well-being because he did not use the “preferred pronouns” of a girl who “identified as a boy”.
Apart from the allegations of “misgendering a pupil”, Mr Sutcliffe was also found in the wrong for expressing views against gay marriage when questioned by a pupil. He was accused of failing to “consider the potential impact” on his pupils, particularly those who may be practising same-sex relationships. We have stated the Biblical position on sodomy many times, not least here:
John 8:32 And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.
The prophets even condemn societies like ours:
Isaiah 59:14 And judgment is turned away backward, and justice standeth afar off: for truth is fallen in the street, and equity cannot enter.
Hosea 4:2 By swearing, and lying, and killing, and stealing, and committing adultery, they break out, and blood toucheth blood.
Given the reasons for this ban, it is safe to report the 33-year-old was stripped of his license because he spoke against sodomy, and used the correct pronouns to address a pupil. The former teacher can apply for the ban to be removed in 2025.
Mr Sutcliffe, a former maths teacher at the Cherwell School, a state secondary in Oxford, admitted to not using the pupil’s preferred pronouns and said he was “devastated” by the ruling, but owes no apology.
He plans to appeal and is being supported by the Christian Legal Centre.
‘I believe affirming children in gender confusion in the classroom is psychologically damaging for them. I refuse to go against my conscience and cause a child harm and refuse to apologise for that,’ he told the Telegraph.
Standards ‘broken’
The panel claimed the teacher fell significantly short of the standard expected of a teacher.
Meanwhile, the teaching guide says: “Teachers make the ‘education’ of their pupils their ‘first concern’, and are accountable for achieving the highest standards in work and conduct.
“Teachers act with ‘honesty and integrity’; have strong subject knowledge, keep their knowledge and skills as teachers up-to-date and are self-critical; forge positive professional relationships; and work with parents in the best interests of their pupils”.
How is it possible in that light that putting education first, and acting with honesty and integrity has become a crime? Read our related stories on the transgenderism scandal:
The ruling comes as schools wait for detailed government guidance for schools on how to respond to transgender pupils. The guidance is due to be published in summer 2023.
A Whitehall source told the Telegraph that the guidance will reflect the interim findings of the Cass review, an NHS-commissioned report by pediatrician Dr Hilary Cass.
She warned that allowing children to “socially transition” to their preferred gender was “not a neutral act” and could have a “significant” impact on their “psychological functioning”.
More Risks
In our previous articles , we made clear the risks of gender alteration, be it male or female.
Although critics claim that gender reassignment procedures can alleviate the distress and psychological pain they say young people with gender dysphoria experience, vaginoplasty surgery carries risks and potential complications on top of the ill-effects of hormonal medicines.
These risks include bleeding, infection, scarring, loss of sensation, complications related to anesthesia, or even death, as with the aforementioned 16-year-old.
Recovery time can also be lengthy, and follow-up care is often required to monitor healing and address any issues that may arise. The Lord Jesus said medicine is for people who are ill:
Matthew 9:12 But when Jesus heard that, he said unto them, They that be whole need not a physician, but they that are sick.
Education NOT indoctrination
Heavers Farm School
In a separate case, a court has ruled against Christian parents who took a London school to court after it prevented pupils, including her 4-year-old son, from opting out of a school ‘gay pride’ event.
Ms Izzy Montague filed a complaint after she was told her son could not opt out of an LGBTQ event staged at Heavers Farm School despite the family’s Christian beliefs.
The parents, Izzy and Shane Montague are to appeal their case after the Central London County Court dismissed their claim against their child’s former school, Heavers Farm, for attempting to force him to participate in an “LGBT-themed Pride Parade”.
Truth is indeed fallen and equity cannot enter when the UK establishment passes such perverse rulings. They can run on for a long time, but in the end, God will not be mocked:
Eccl 5:8 If thou seest the oppression of the poor, and violent perverting of judgment and justice in a province, marvel not at the matter: for he that is higher than the highest regardeth; and there be higher than they.

Pray against plans to destroy the family unit ordained by God. Thank God for the Department of Education for their decision to investigate and pray their guidance will be righteous. Pray for the wisdom of God in our leaders.

The World Health Organisation (WHO) is under pressure to withdraw guidance for schools, recommending that children aged four and under be taught about “enjoyment and pleasure when touching one’s own body, early childhood masturbation”.
The organisation recommends that toddlers have “the right to ask questions about sexuality” and “the right to explore gender identities”. (Pictured right)
These topics are described by WHO as the “minimal standards that need to be covered by sexuality education”.
The World Health Assembly, with three delegates from each of the WHO’s 194 member states, is meeting in Geneva as we write. The delegates typically include a health minister, a health official, and your nation’s UN ambassador:
A Government spokesperson for the Department of Education told Christian Voice: “The UK Government does not recognise this WHO guidance and we don’t agree with its recommendations. We have not distributed or promoted it to schools.
“We offer our own guidance to help schools to teach children and young people about relationships and health. This is for primary school aged children and above.”
Christian Voice also contacted campaign groups who claim to represent children’s rights. Most declined to comment on this major issue involving the safety of children.
A spokesperson for Children’s Rights Alliance for England (CRAE) said: ‘The organisation is a very small team, and we haven’t looked at the WHO’s guidance on this. We also don’t do work surrounding this issue, so we are not able to comment on it’.
Barnados told us: ‘Unfortunately, we’re unable to help on this occasion’. Meanwhile, Save the Children Fund said: ‘We don’t have anything to add to this story, so we cannot help on this occasion’.
‘Children England’ are yet to get back to us. The Children’s Commissioner for England is yet to respond to our request for comment.
The UK Prime Minister reacts
The Telegraph reported that Mr Rishi Sunak is committed to bringing forward a review of statutory guidance on Relationships and Sex Education (RSE), in light of the “safeguarding scandal” of inappropriate materials being used in schools.
The Prime Minister made the pledge in the House of Commons in response to a question from Miriam Cates, MP for Penistone and Stocksbridge. Ms Cates also organised a letter to Mr Sunak from fellow Tory MPs.
She told Mr Sunak that children are being “subjected to lessons that are age-inappropriate, extreme, sexualising and inaccurate, often using resources from unregulated organisations that are actively campaigning to undermine parents. This is not a victory for equality, it is a catastrophe for childhood.”
The Bible says, 1 CORINTHIANS 13:11 When I was a child, I spoke as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child; but when I became a man, I put away childish things.
MPs show concern
The Former Home Secretary Priti Patel MP, said: “It’s shocking to see what’s being taught to some children in our schools and concerning that parents are being ignored”.
Further, former Education Minister Brendan Clarke-Smith, who also signed the letter from Miriam Cates asking the Prime Minister to review sex education for children, warned: “To present contentious issues to young minds as facts is totally wrong”.
MP for Mansfield, Ben Bradley, stated, “I don’t think people have any real sense of what some children are being taught in their schools. I’ve spoken to many parents who have been horrified by some of the content”.
The Lord Jesus said in Matthew 18; 6 But whoso shall offend one of these little ones which believe in me, it were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and that he were drowned in the depth of the sea.
No to sexualisation of children
Frank Furedi, executive director of the think-tank, Mathias Corvinus Collegium (MCC) said: “The exploitation of young people for political ends is already causing serious damage. The promoters of sexuality education are disorienting and disturbing kids.
“They are plunging them into a crisis of identity from their very earliest years onwards”.
On Spiked-online, Professor Furedi went further: ‘The purpose of the WHO guidance, which has been eagerly taken up by educational and health authorities over the past 10 or so years, is not education – it is indoctrination. This is clear from the WHO’s emphasis on ‘sexuality education’, rather than what used to be known as ‘sex education’. There is an important difference between these two terms. Whereas sex education involves teaching children about sex and human reproduction, ‘sexuality education’ focusses on gender and sexual identity. As part of ‘sexuality education’, children are not being taught the facts of life. They’re being taught a highly contested ideology.’
He added that adult society needs to fight back against this silent campaign of indoctrination.
Welsh Government followed WHO
Incredibly, the Welsh Government based its sex education policy on exactly the WHO terminology Prof Furedi condemned. Its draft Relationships and Sexuality Education Guidance published in 2019 said: ‘The change in name to Relationships and Sexuality Education reflects the internationally recognised World Health Organisation (WHO) standards for sexuality education.’
Mercifully, the Wales published guidance (2021) avoids the worst excesses of the WHO guidance. However, it still says: ‘Across the learning strands, curriculum content in RSE must be inclusive and reflect diversity. It must include learning that develops learners’ awareness and understanding of different identities, views and values and a diversity of relationships, gender and sexuality, including LGBTQ+ lives. ‘ It is, in other words, woke propaganda. And indeed, the word ‘sexuality’ occurs 16 tines, ‘gender’ 17. From age 11, children should have ‘An ability to advocate for and advance the rights of all and understand and respect all people in relation to sex, gender and sexuality.
Earlier this month, Laura Anne Jones, Conservative shadow minister for education in Wales’ regional government, challenged the WHO to take down its guidelines for sex education in Europe.
However, the problem is worldwide, with WHO advocating for Comprehensive Sexuality Education across the developing world. See this article from Kenya Christian Voice:

St Peter’s Carmarthen, the oldest place of worship in the oldest town in Wales, but now allowed to hold ‘gay blessings’.
In February 2023, the General Synod of the Church of England followed the Church in Wales down the path of allowing the ‘blessing’ of same-sex couples in its churches and cathedrals.
The decisions, particularly that of the Church of England, the ‘mother church’ of the Anglican Communion, have thrown Anglicanism into turmoil.
The churches of the Global South Fellowship of Anglicans (GSFA) and the Global Anglican Future Conference, representing some 85% of the world’s Anglicans, consider the CofE and the CiW have left the Christian faith.
GAFCON’s Archbishop Foley wrote in September 2022 to CofE Archbishop Justin Welby. In his letter he said: ‘It is those who depart from the established teaching of the Church who are causing the division (Epistle of Jude 18, 19). I implore you to call us all to repentance and to return to the Apostles’ Teaching of the Bible.’
As we are here to proclaim Biblical truth, let us begin by observing that homosexual relationships are condemned as decadent in Scripture:
Rom 1:26 For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature:
Of course proponents of the measure try to explain words like that away. But we have taken those arguments and the rest of ‘gay theology’ apart already:
Faithful members of both churches are now in turmoil. They are gathering to support each other. But are they seeking the Lord for something they can do? Or are they like the divisions of Reuben, contrasted here by Deborah with the men prepared to stand up and fight:
Jdg 5:15 And the princes of Issachar were with Deborah; even Issachar, and also Barak: he was sent on foot into the valley. For the divisions of Reuben there were great thoughts of heart. 16 Why abodest thou among the sheepfolds, to hear the bleatings of the flocks? For the divisions of Reuben, great searchings of heart.
Scripture shows God loves men, and women, of action. The Lord receives many prayers asking him to do something. Of course it is natural to pray along with the psalmist:
Psalm 119:126 It is time for thee, LORD, to work: for they have made void thy law.
But it remains that the Lord does not receive quite as many prayers asking him what we can do. That means that when we ask the Lord what we can do, he is quick to answer. The principle of ‘Lord, what can I do?’ may be applied almost anywhere. We may even become like these men – it’s Issachar again – from king David’s army:
1Chron 12:32 And of the children of Issachar, which were men that had understanding of the times, to know what Israel ought to do;
The Synod Decisions
The account of the decision taken by the Church of England in February 2023 is HERE.
The Church in Wales made its decision to introduce blessings for same-sex unions in July 2022. The decision was rubber-stamped by a vote in the Synod that September. See HERE.
A ‘Liturgy for the Blessing of a Same-sex Civil Marriage or Civil Partnership’ was actually put in place a year or two earlier: See HERE.
A liturgy of pious denial
The liturgy itself is a triumph of pious denial over truth and experience. It contains sentiments like this:
‘Beloved in Christ, we are gathered here today in the presence of God to celebrate N. and N.’s love for each other, to support them in life’s journey and to pray for God’s blessing on their Marriage / Civil Partnership as together they live a life of faithful love and commitment.’
A couple of lesbians or two gays may well live together and look after each other, but at a sexual level, especially for the men, the evidence shows ‘faithful love and commitment’ is a chimera. After all, the modern homosexual movement began by rejecting the model of monogamous marriage.
Furthermore, research shows promiscuity is built in to homosexuality. Thousands of sexual partners are not unknown in the network. ‘Flings’ outside living-together relationships are routine. The promiscuity is inherent and has a psychological or emotional root. In his book ‘Everything You Always Wanted to Know About Sex* (*But Were Afraid to Ask)’ psychologist Dr David Reuben said of homosexuals: ‘They are trying to solve the puzzle with only half the pieces.’
Where is the sexual activity?
There is no mention of sexual activity in the ‘gay-blessing’ liturgy at all. The conventional marriage service, on the other hand, is full of it. Even the modern service says things like this:
‘The gift of marriage brings husband and wife together in the delight and tenderness of sexual union and joyful commitment to the end of their lives. It is given as the foundation of family life in which children are [born and] nurtured.’
The couple promise sexual fidelity as the minister asks: ‘forsaking all others, be faithful to her/him as long as you both shall live?’ They consent to sexual intimacy: ‘With my body I honour you, all that I am I give to you.’ There is talk of children being conceived, born and raised.
There is none of that in the ‘gay blessings’. Even the promise of living ‘a life of faithful love and commitment’ omits the ‘sexual union’ bit and the ‘forsaking all others’. Perhaps these are completely platonic relationships being blessed. Or perhaps the ‘liturgy’ is simply recognising that sexual fidelity has no relevance to homosexual relationships. Or perhaps raising the matter of homosexual activities would be embarrassing and lead to unwanted prurience. Who knows what was in the mind of those who framed the gay blessing liturgy?
Reactions
The BBC reported on the Wales vote thus: ‘Same-sex couples can now have their marriage blessed by the Church in Wales after a vote was held. However, the church will still not marry same-sex couples.
‘Former Dean of St Albans, the Very Reverend Jeffrey John, supported the change but described it as a “halfway house” that did not go far enough.
‘The Evangelical Fellowship in the Church in Wales opposed the move, saying it did not uphold the “standard of Christian marriage between one man and one woman”. But Wales’ bishops said it was a step on the way towards repentance of a history which has “demonised and persecuted gay and lesbian people”.’
A direction of travel?
You may well ask: ‘the Church in Wales or of England will still not marry same-sex couples’, but for how long? Is there not a trajectory, a direction of travel, here?
Let us remember, the Church of Scotland voted at its 2022 General Assembly to allow ministers and deacons to ‘gay-marry’ same-sex couples if they choose. The Scottish Episcopal Church has been gay-marrying since 2017. If Christians in the Anglican denominations of Wales and England quietly accept the new rule, why should their churches not go the way of Scotland, which brought in ‘gay-marriage’ despite the clear ruling of the Lord Jesus, here recorded by Matthew (cf Mark 10:6-8)?
Matt 19:4 And he answered and said unto them, Have ye not read, that he which made them at the beginning made them male and female, 5 And said, For this cause shall a man leave father and mother, and shall cleave to his wife: and they twain shall be one flesh?
Why an Experimental Period?
The Church in Wales says: ‘The service will be used experimentally for five years and it will be up to individual clergy to decide whether or not they wish to lead it.’ In the Church of England it is a five-year ‘evaluation’ period.
Why are they having a five-year trial period? What is it for? It may be the wording was inserted to allow the measure more easily to pass. Maybe proponents of the measure want to learn from their experience and tinker with the order of service. They could use the period to document reactions from ‘the gays’ along the lines of those already voiced by Jeffrey John. As the end of the five years approaches, they will no doubt speak of a demand for full gay marriage.
But perhaps there is another reason. It is not exclusive. It does not negate the other reasons. But it is this:
I suggest the measure’s proponents want to see if the five year period will pass off without incident. Put bluntly, they want to see if they can get away with it.
During the experimental or evaluation period the proponents will be fully prepared for individual ministers and lay people to protest to their bishops. They will expect clergy to preach against it. They will foresee statements from evangelical fellowships. They won’t mind letters to periodicals. They will regard papers decrying it with equanimity, responding to them or ignoring them as they wish.
What They Do Not Want
The one thing they will not want is public protests. They will not be at all happy with action against the measure on the streets or in their churches. What about:
1 Prayer walks around churches or cathedrals which accept the trial. Perhaps we walk around them seven times and blow a shofar. We do not expect the building itself to tumble, but we do expect an impact on the spiritual forces behind the measure: Josh 6:15 And it came to pass on the seventh day, that they rose early about the dawning of the day, and compassed the city after the same manner seven times:
2 Public protests in the street outside a church conducting a ‘gay-blessing’ service. Perhaps leaflets are given to those going in. Perhaps banners or placards are raised in the name of the Lord with relevant scripture verses: Psalm 20:5 We will rejoice in thy salvation, and in the name of our God we will set up our banners: the LORD fulfil all thy petitions.
3 A protest inside a church or cathedral conducting such a service, speaking truth to power: Psalm 40:9 I have preached righteousness in the great congregation: lo, I have not refrained my lips, O LORD, thou knowest.
4 A witness outside the venue of the Synod from now on: Isa 58:1 Cry aloud, spare not, lift up thy voice like a trumpet, and shew my people their transgression, and the house of Jacob their sins.
5 A presence at specific ‘gay’ events or meetings: 1Sam 14:6 And Jonathan said to the young man that bare his armour, Come, and let us go over unto the garrison of these uncircumcised: it may be that the LORD will work for us: for there is no restraint to the LORD to save by many or by few.
The two churches need leaders
In practice, the Lord must raise up someone in leadership in respectively the Church in Wales and the Church of England to lead this project. We must pray someone is found who cares enough about the heritage of each province to stand up and lead. Whoever it is will need to:
(a) Enlist those who will report back with intelligence of the opposition’s movements and developments such as proposed services or gatherings,
(b) Encourage those prepared to stand outside a place of worship in protest, take part in a prayer walk, stand up in a place of worship to voice objections or even pitch up and minister the Gospel to the lost at the next meeting of a Diocese ‘LGBT+ Chaplaincy’.
Do What They Like Least
It is a maxim in sport that you do whatever the opposition would like least. In cricket, if a batsman favours spin, bring a fast bowler into the attack. If he likes the short ball, bowl it fuller. From this, we ask what our opposition are comfortable with, and what they would least like. Then we do the latter.
If what we are doing is outside their experience, all the better. In 2008, South Wales Echo published a blasphemous article. A small group of Christian Voice supporters walked into their reception area, which was combined open-plan with their whole ground-floor office. We prayed and sang hymns. We knew what we doing. We were holding a church service, albeit in unusual surroundings.
The newspaper folk, on the other hand, did not know what was going on. One could say they were impacted by the fear of God. Down came the directors and invited us into a meeting in the boardroom. They listened to us respectfully and published an apology in the very next issue. Without the impromptu ‘service’ that would never have happened.
What Do We Want to Achieve?
We should also ask ourselves in any given situation what we want to achieve. We then use all the godly means we know to achieve it.
Eccl 9:10 Whatsoever thy hand findeth to do, do it with thy might; for there is no work, nor device, nor knowledge, nor wisdom, in the grave, whither thou goest.
If what we want to achieve is to be considered nice, reasonable ‘Christian’ people, we can achieve that by continuing with polite discourse, patiently explaining the issues. We shall achieve our aim. We shall also see setback after setback.
If however we want to achieve an end to services of blessing of gay unions and a reversal of the current trend towards full acceptance of homosexuality, perhaps with recognition of transgenderism next on the list, we shall do something different. We shall take action of a kind they will not like.
Our action will lead to reaction from the opposition. Sometimes their reaction may prove to be of even greater value to the Kingdom of God than our initial action.
Do the Little Things
The last words of Saint David, just before his death on 1st March 589 were ‘Be joyful, keep the faith, and do the little things that you have heard and seen me do.’ ‘Do the little things’. In Welsh: ‘Gwnewch y pethau bychain.’‘
When we do the little things which only we can do, we can leave the big stuff, the miraculous, the things only God can do, to him. The Lord is looking to see whether our prayer is ‘fervent’, whether it is serious. If it is, it will avail much:
Jas 5:16 Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.
In 2006 the blasphemous Jerry Springer the Opera went on tour. Archbishop Barry Morgan called for a Christian protest outside Cardiff’s Millennium Centre. The people came in their hundreds. The theatre-goers stayed away. God did that.
As the show continued on its cursed tour, some dear ladies in Edinburgh would not join a similar protest outside the King’s Theatre. They just wanted to pray. But although they could have prayed at home, they came down to the theatre and prayed in the cafe, in the midst, as we might say, of Satan’s stronghold at the time.
When the tour of the show was ‘ruined’, as its writer Stewart Lee put it, they were pleased to have played their part in his downfall.
It was only a little thing those ladies did, but by coming down to the theatre, they showed the Lord their prayer was serious enough for him to answer it in power.
Pray and Work
It has been said, ‘When we work we work. When we pray, God works.’ But the Biblical witness of Jehoshaphat (2Chron 20), Esther, even the early church, shows it is not an ‘either/or’. It is a ‘both/and.’
After their united prayer and fasting had unleashed the Spirit of the Lord on Jahaziel to show them what to do, all Judah had to do was go out armed, not fighting, but singing psalms. In response, God sowed confusion amongst their enemies.
All Esther had to was go in to the king while her people fasted and prayed in unity. In response, God kept the king up all night reading how her uncle Mordecai had saved his life.
All the early church had to do was send out the Twelve and the Seventy with the Gospel. It was God who opened doors, made divine appointments and paved the way. When we pray and work, God works miracles.
A Need for Action
The Biblical witness shows that God loves and uses men of action like Moses, David, Jonathan, Samuel and the Apostles. Even the Prophets, filled with the spirit, men whose currency was words, put actions with the prophetic.
If the faithful do nothing ‘physical’ the opposition will concluded they don’t matter and they don’t care and they will press on. A strategy of response is needed in a language those in power will dislike but understand.
Anyone spurred to action will need to cover it all in prayer and trust in the grace and wisdom of God. Reversing these developments is do-able. A church, even a nation, repenting is do-able for God. For both church and nation, if we continue doing what we have been doing, we delude ourselves if we think we shall see anything different from the opposition’s relentless Fabian march.

Yesterday was the tenth anniversary of the murder of Fusilier Lee Rigby. Many people have sought to draw lessons lessons from the tragedy, the barbarism, but we are going to take a sideways look. For us, this story shows Christian parents how essential it is to radicalise their children in the Christian faith before someone else radicalises them in theirs. On 22nd May 2023, two young Islamist terrorists drove a car into Fusilier Lee Rigby, from behind, then stabbed him multiple times. They carried out their attack near the Royal Artillery Barracks in Woolwich, southeast London.
In Spiked-Online, Tom Slater writes: ‘They had set out that day to kill a soldier, and spotted Rigby’s army-issue backpack and ‘Help for Heroes’ hoodie as he walked back from Woolwich Arsenal station. They hacked at Rigby’s body. They tried to decapitate him. Then they waited for the police to arrive, hoping to go out in a blaze of glory – as martyrs.’
When armed police turned up, the terrorists ran at them with their knives and a rusty useless revolver. Instead of killing them, the marksmen shot them in the legs and incapacitated them. Michael Adebolajo and Michael Adebowale were tried and convicted.
For Tom Slater, the lesson is that the woke establishment want us to forget about atrocities such as the murder of Lee Rigby, the murder of Sir David Amess MP and the Manchester Arena bombing. If not to forget, then not to attribute these events to Islamic Terrorism or associate them with Islam at all.
‘Religion of Peace’

For David Cameron in 2015, in a joint press conference with Egypt’s President Sisi, Islam was a ‘religion of peace’. The then Prime Minster made the claim in the same breath as stating ‘the problem of extremist Islamism and violence’ had been ‘growing’. Terrorism, he said, was a perversion of Islam (even though Islam has historically spread at the point of a sword).
The authorities today want the ‘Prevent’ counter-terrorism programme they set up in 2003, and which became a ‘strategy’ in 2011, to focus equally on ‘far-right’ extremism to provide a bit of balance, just so they can claim that Islamic Terrorism is only one threat we face, not the main one.
Tom Slater writes: ‘Our elites have become increasingly uncomfortable with us talking about Islamist terrorism, even as it continues to wreak havoc on our streets. This reticence is bred of a deep fear and loathing of the public. Non-Muslim Brits are thought of as a pogrom-in-waiting, as one ‘difficult conversation’ away from going on an anti-Muslim rampage.’

For us, there is another lesson, closer to the Christian heart. We must never forget the two terrorists were British boys from Christian families. Both were named after the warrior Archangel (Dan 10:13-21, 12:1, Jude 1:9, Rev 12:7). Their parents came from southern Nigeria.
However, the boys had contact on the streets with Omar Bakri Muhammad and Anjem Choudary, the co-founders of the banned British group al-Muhajiroun. See the BBC report here. That is how the ringleader, Michael Adebolajo, could rant to a camera or phone held by a passer-by: ‘The only reason we have killed this man today is because Muslims are dying daily by British soldiers.’
It was a preposterous thing for him to say until we realise the extent of the indoctrination he had received while being radicalised in Islam. He now identified as Muslim.
‘You will lose your child’
A friend and neighbour of Michael Adebowale who lives in nearby Greenwich, warned parents they must take real care of their children.
Magdalene Edwards told Channel 4 News she first noticed Michael Adebowale in Muslim dress a year before and asked if he had converted to Islam. She told him to ‘be careful’.
He was ‘angry’, she said, ‘as a lot of young people are’. She added that extremists looking to radicalise the young ‘are only looking for the weak ones, the ones that have no support, so we have a duty as parents to keep an eye on those children. If you take your finger off the pulse for one second, you’ve got to believe me, you will lose your child.’
It isn’t just Muslims with their table in the town square trying to draw children away from their parents and the Christian faith. Children are under terrible pressure from teachers and other children in schools to adopt the ways of the world. They are being indoctrinated daily with Secularism, Gender ideology, Evolutionism and Eco-fanaticism. Online, they can be sucked in to pseudo-Christian cults, New Age, even suicide promotion.
How are Christian parents going to make their children bullet-proof against such pressure?
The Bible shows us how:
Deut 6:1 Now these are the commandments, the statutes, and the judgments, which the LORD your God commanded to teach you, that ye might do them in the land whither ye go to possess it: … 7 And thou shalt teach them diligently unto thy children, and shalt talk of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, and when thou liest down, and when thou risest up.
In other words, Christian parents must radicalise their children in the Christian faith before someone else radicalises them in theirs.
Parents must explain the ways of the Lord to their children, sitting down, standing up, at mealtimes, going out, coming in. Spend time with them. Fathers especially must spend time with their sons, mothers with daughters. Contrast God’s ways with the ways of the world. Show how the Christian faith is radical, how it challenges the systems and the leaders of this world. Parents, forget ‘quality time’. This exercise needs ALL your time. Or you will lose your child.

Sir Lewis Hamilton used the occasion of last weekend’s 2023 Miami Grand Prix to blunder into the Florida sex education debate. So let’s look at that debate, at Lewis’s descent into wokeness and how since he went on that path his racing career appears to have stalled. Watch our video (you are reading the transcript):
According to the BBC: ‘Florida governor Ron DeSantis is set to widen a law barring public schools from teaching about sexual orientation and gender identity to all grades.’
The law is officially titled the ‘Parental Rights in Education Act’. It was passed in 2022 and currently applies to public, or state, schools from kindergarten, only up to ‘third grade’, which is 8-9 year-olds.
Extension of the law
In April 2023, the Florida Board of Education approved an extension of the ban to all grades, primary and secondary.
Mr DeSantis and other Republicans who support the law, and the extension, say it shields children from inappropriate content that does not belong in schools. They argue that parents, not teachers, should be holding discussions on topics like sexual orientation and gender identity with their children. The Bible supports them. In the Old Testament, in the book of Deuteronomy, chapter six, the Lord tells his people this about his laws:
Deut 6:7 And thou shalt teach them diligently unto thy children, and shalt talk of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, and when thou liest down, and when thou risest up.
Bring up your children in the Lord
And of course the New Testament agrees. We read in the Gospel of Luke, chapter two and verse fifty-one that the Lord Jesus was subject to his mother and father, while the Apostle Paul wrote to the Ephesians also in chapter six:
Eph 6:4 And, ye fathers, provoke not your children to wrath: but bring them up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord.
Parents, the Bible tells us, are responsible for their children’s education, not teachers, not sex educators, not LGBTQ+, or whatever the latest version is, activists.
Florida Commissioner of Education Manny Diaz Jr said in a tweet: ‘Students should be spending their time in school learning core academic subjects, not being force-fed radical gender and sexual ideology.’
As expected, Democratic President Joe Biden has called the law ‘hateful.’ Gay and Trans activists in the State and indeed across the US are also furious.

And into the shallow mud of opposition has now waded our own national treasure Sir Lewis Hamilton to campaign for homosexuals and trans activists against parents and decency.
‘It’s not good. At all,’ said our Lewis. ‘I stand by the LGBTQ community here and hope they continue to push back.’
Push back against parental rights and responsibilities, eh? Mr Hamilton said he would race in Miami with a rainbow flag in support of LGBTQ rights on his helmet.
‘It is no different to when we were in Saudi,’ the Mercedes driver added. ‘It is not the right direction and not the right message.’
Oh dear, Lewis, in two places in the book of Proverbs we read:
Prov 14:12 (c/f 16:25) There is a way that seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.
‘I am here and hoping that just by showing up with my helmet I will be continuing to support the LGBT community and showing I stand with them in solidarity. I hope they continue to fight against it,’ he went on
Oh, Lewis. ‘Showing up’ with his rainbow helmet. It was, no doubt, the least he could do. But seriously, with his words and his helmet Lewis is trying to change opinion. He is interfering in another nation’s internal affairs. just as we see Western governments and foundations and sportsmen like the gay Tom Daley doing all over the world. And of course there is a spiritual dimension to Lewis’s intervention, coming inevitably from his secularist worship of a false woke god. The Lord’s Prophet Jeremiah said:
Jer 23:26 How long shall this be in the heart of the prophets that prophesy lies? yea, they are prophets of the deceit of their own heart;
Sex Education is ‘Vital’
Sir Lewis went on: ‘My sympathy and thoughts are with the people here in Miami. It’s not them making the decisions, it’s the people in government and that’s the issue.’
Really? Only last year Ron DeSantis beat his Democratic challenger Charlie Crist by over 19 percentage points. The Florida Governor specifically campaigned on the culture war and against the ‘woke’ values of Sir Lewis Hamilton and his celebrity friends.
You know, we are constantly told by the education establishment here in the UK that sex education is always age-appropriate, that it is essential to help children understand the modern world and that parents have nothing to worry about.
But now Lewis has given the game away. Sex Education is actually designed to promote homosexuality and transgenderism to children. It is apparently an essential plank in the armoury of gay and trans activists. It is, in the words of our own Director of Ofsted Amanda Spielman, ‘vital’ for children to hear the gay and trans ideology in Relationships and Sex Education. ‘Vital’, that is, for the woke cause. And it seems it is ‘vital’ for them world-wide.
That explains Plan International and the ‘gender-queer’ Comprehensive Sexuality Education toolkit that that Western-funded NGO tried to sneak into Rwanda.
It explains concerned parents being excluded from school board meetings across the United States. But there is a judgment coming. The Bible says:
Eccl 5:8 If thou seest the oppression of the poor, and violent perverting of judgment and justice in a province, marvel not at the matter: for he that is higher than the highest regardeth; and there be higher than they.
Seven World Titles
Back in the previous decade, it seemed as if the Lewis Hamilton / Mercedes partnership was unstoppable in Formula One. He won his first world championship in 2008 with McLaren.
He joined Mercedes in 2013, winning his second championship the following year. He won again in 2015.
Lewis lost the 2016 title to his team-mate Nico Rosberg, but went on to win four in a row from 2017 to 2020. Seven world titles equalled the record of Michael Schumacher. In our house, we cheered and prayed for the fresh-faced boy from Stevenage all the way.
But something changed during 2020. On 25th May, George Floyd, a 46-year-old black man, was murdered while being arrested in Minneapolis, Minnesota, by Derek Chauvin, a 44-year-old US police officer. The fact that the policeman was white gave ammunition to a Marxist-feminist bunch called ‘Black Lives Matter’, led by three fiercely anti-family, anti-capitalist lesbians. I say, ‘anti-capitalist’ but they certainly prospered from the death of the Mr Floyd. Derek Chauvin has since been convicted.
Going ‘woke’
In the wake of the murder, Lewis demanded his Mercedes be painted black and he started doing the knee business to show his support for the wealthy anti-family Marxists. Then in 2021 he switched his attention to homosexuality. He commissioned what Pink News described as ‘his intersex-inclusive Progress Pride flag helmet’ for the inaugural Grand Prix in Qatar, which he won. Why those born with the unfortunate intersex condition are dragged in, I have no idea, except for shameless political reasons, of course. The inaugural Saudi Arabia Grand Prix followed and Lewis won that too, also in his rainbow helmet.
Then followed the 2021 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix. Lewis turned up in his woke helmet for the third time in solidarity with homosexuality. Sodomy is illegal in all three countries. I suppose refusing to take part was not an option for a man with an eye on an eighth world title.
But look, here are three Muslim countries following the laws of God, which say, in Leviticus chapter twenty:
Lev 20:13 If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them.
You might object to that penalty, but in the UK there is no penalty at all for sodomy. Instead, it is promoted to 4-year-olds in school.
Bringing shame on the UK
Lewis was only calling attention to our national sin, bringing shame in Muslim eyes on the constitutional Christian country he represents. Moreover, his pro-gay virtue, or vice-signalling provides an additional reason to persecute individual Christians in that part of the world.
Anyway, the Abu Dhabi race was held on 12th December 2021. Coming into the race, Red Bull’s Max Verstappen and Lewis Hamilton each had 369.5 points. Lewis needed to win. He made a good start and led for most of the race. He appeared on course to win what would have been a record eighth World Drivers’ Championship. But as Jonny Cash sang, ‘You can run on for a long time, sooner or later God’ll cut you down.’ Or as the Bible says:
Prov 16:18 Pride goeth before destruction, and an haughty spirit before a fall.
On lap 53 of the 58-lap race Nicholas Latifi crashed his Williams and out came the safety car. Max Verstappen went into the pits for a change of tyres. Lewis stayed out. A controversial and erroneous safety car restart made it a one-lap race. Lewis, with his old tyres, was a sitting duck for the Dutchman, who overtook the Mercedes driver in the last moments of the race, clinching the championship.
Three days later, on 15th December 2021, Lewis Hamilton was knighted by the then Prince of Wales for services to motorsports. Some consolation.
Troubles at Mercedes
The official who made the wrong decision was demoted, but the race result stood. And then it really started to go wrong for Sir Lewis, and for his team-mate George Russell. After a re-design, the Mercedes car which emerged for the 2022 season appeared to have both an engine deficit and suspension problems. From eleven wins and three more podium finishes (that’s second or third) in 2020 and eight wins and a further nine podiums in 2021, the best Lewis could manage last year was nine podium finishes and no wins at all. Since he started racing, there had never been a season when Lewis did not win at least one race.
The car, and Lewis, are faring no better in 2023, with just one podium finish in five races. Lewis finished 6th in Miami, with his Mercedes team-mate George Russell in 4th place. In fairness, in the drivers’ overall standings those positions are reversed.
An upgraded Mercedes is coming for the next race, Emilia Romagna in Italy on Sunday 21st May 2023. However, team boss Toto Wolff is only looking to ‘make inroads into Red Bull’s advantage at the front’ and to be ‘the best of the rest’.
‘We just need to manage everybody’s expectation because we’re talking so much about that upgrade,’ he said. ‘We’re not going to put it down on the track and then drive circles around Red Bull, but it’s going be a good baseline, I think.’
Nasty Piece of Work
How can a car which was so good, suddenly become so bad? Why has it become, in Mr Wolff’s words, such ‘a nasty piece of work’ from one year to the next? Why, for that matter, was Lewis on the receiving end of such a poor decision in Abu Dhabi after such an unexpected late crash in only his third outing in his rainbow helmet? Just what is going on? Is he now under a curse? Well, how can there not be a spiritual dimension to these extraordinary catastrophes? If you disagree, what are you saying? That God would not do that? Or that God could not do that? The Bible says in the book of Ecclesiastes:
Eccl 9:11 I returned, and saw under the sun, that the race is not to the swift, nor the battle to the strong, neither yet bread to the wise, nor yet riches to men of understanding, nor yet favour to men of skill; but time and chance happeneth to them all.
But then again, the Bible promises success to those who follow God’s ways, for example, to Joshua:
Joshua 1:8 This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.
And to us all, in the very first Psalm, with a warning to Lewis and his LGBTQ friends:
Psa 1:1 Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. 2 But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night. 3 And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.
Psa 1:4 The ungodly are not so: but are like the chaff which the wind driveth away. 5 Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous. 6 For the LORD knoweth the way of the righteous: but the way of the ungodly shall perish.
Pray for his repentance
We don’t pray any more in our house for success for Lewis Hamilton. We pray now for his repentance. By choosing to support the enemies of the Lord he has put himself in the camp of the ungodly, the sinners and the scornful. The Bible says, in the book of Numbers:
Numb 10:35 And it came to pass, when the ark set forward, that Moses said, Rise up, LORD, and let thine enemies be scattered; and let them that hate thee flee before thee.
Will Sir Lewis Hamilton ever achieve that eighth world drivers’ championship and become the Greatest of All Time, or at least, the One with the Most Titles?
Or will he be like his friend the equally celebrity-woke Serena Williams, desperately chasing that one last title to, in Serena’s case, just take her level with Margaret Court, the Evangelical Christian derided by the press and the glitterati as ‘homophobic’? Serena never made it and has now retired. Margaret Court’s place in history is secure, as is her place in heaven. We read in the psalms:
Psa 146:9 The LORD preserveth the strangers; he relieveth the fatherless and widow: but the way of the wicked he turneth upside down.
That is the kind of God he is. On one level, Lewis has entertained the people and made his money. He has enjoyed success. But ambition is built into all of us. It is part of being made in the image of God. I am sure Lewis wants that eighth title. What a pity he has turned his back on the God who gave him his gift and who could give him his final goal if he would only humble himself and repent. The Lord Jesus said:
Matt 13:41 The Son of man shall send forth his angels, and they shall gather out of his kingdom all things that offend, and them which do iniquity; 42 And shall cast them into a furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth.
Yes, he is a God of judgment. But he is a God of mercy, and if your own life is being lived in rebellion from God, you too can turn from your wickedness right now, accept the Lord Jesus as your Saviour, your God and your King, and live to the full his risen life.
More scripture on pride…
2Chron 16:9a For the eyes of the LORD run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to shew himself strong in the behalf of them whose heart is perfect toward him. Psa 94:2 Lift up thyself, thou judge of the earth: render a reward to the proud. Psa 119:21 Thou hast rebuked the proud that are cursed, which do err from thy commandments. Psa 138:6 Though the LORD be high, yet hath he respect unto the lowly: but the proud he knoweth afar off. Isa 2:12 For the day of the LORD of hosts shall be upon every one that is proud and lofty, and upon every one that is lifted up; and he shall be brought low: Jer 50:31 Behold, I am against thee, O thou most proud, saith the Lord GOD of hosts: for thy day is come, the time that I will visit thee. Luke 1:51 He hath shewed strength with his arm; he hath scattered the proud in the imagination of their hearts. Luke 14:11 For whosoever exalteth himself shall be abased; and he that humbleth himself shall be exalted. Romans 1:30 Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents, James 4:6 But he giveth more grace. Wherefore he saith, God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto the humble.

A 16-year-old boy who had “vaginoplasty” surgery in a vain attempt to “change his gender” died from an infection, according to new just coming out.
In 2016, a local paper reported that a medical study had revealed the cause of death on one of its participants in a Dutch transgender experiment.

The case is that of a teenage boy who died from hormone blockers administered by Dutch researchers. That meant there was not enough penile tissue for surgeons to create a “neo-vagina.” Therefore, a more risky procedure using a section of the patient’s bowel was necessary, which resulted in fatal necrotising fasciitis.
In truth, this scandalous mutilation is neither necessary nor godly. It is a perversion of medicine:
Job 13:4 But ye are forgers of lies, ye are all physicians of no value.
Vaginoplasty surgery is a complex and invasive procedure, as it involves creating a pretend “vagina” from existing tissue and skin.
It is also known as ”gender affirmation surgery” or ‘bottom surgery’. They typically perform the surgical procedure as part of mutilatory surgery for men pretending to be women. The procedure involves creating a pretence at a vaginal canal and repositioning the urethra, and scrotal tissue.
During the surgery, the surgeon, if the practitioner may be referred to by such a term, removes the male organ and testicles and uses the remaining skin and tissue to create a “neo-vagina.” The urethra is also repositioned to allow for urination.
Sex reassignment is not the answer
Our research online show that sex mutilation does not adequately address the psychosocial difficulties faced by people who identify as transgender. Even when the procedures are successful technically and cosmetically, and in cultures that are relatively ‘trans-friendly,’ ‘transitioners’ still face poor outcomes.
Dr. Paul McHugh, a professor of psychiatry at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine said: ‘Transgendered’ men do not become women, nor do ‘transgendered’ women become men.’
Meanwhile, a report by the Guardian shows that the Aggressive Research Intelligence Facility (ARIF) of the University of Birmingham concludes that none of the studies provide conclusive evidence that gender reassignment is beneficial to patients.
The Bible says,
Matthew 9:12 But when Jesus heard that, he said unto them, They that be whole need not a physician, but they that are sick.
The Risks
In our previous articles, we made clear the risks of gender altercation, be it male or female. Although critics claim that gender reassignment procedures can alleviate the distress and psychological pain many young transgender people with gender dysphoria experience, vaginoplasty surgery carries risks and potential complications.

These risks include bleeding, infection, scarring, loss of sensation, complications related to anesthesia, or even death, as in the case of the aforementioned 16-year-old.
Recovery time can also be lengthy, and follow-up care is often required to monitor healing and address any issues that may arise. Nor does it ever deal with the emotional and spiritual state, possibly even demon-possession, which lies at the root of gender dysphoria.
A local paper reports that the Dutch research team in a statement said: ‘The patient was described as a healthy 16-year-old who could not undergo standard vaginoplasty.
‘Within 24 hours of having a vaginoplasty, the patient started showing major complications. Necrotizing fasciitis was confirmed in the days after the surgery.
The investigation into the teenager’s death revealed that the deadly strain of E-Coli most likely came from the patient’s own intestines, not from the hospital setting, meaning that the patient’s early puberty suppression surgery almost certainly caused her fatality.’
It’s important to note that no form of gender re-assignment surgery is the answer or escape for a troubled soul. The Bible says:
Matthew 11:28 Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest..
Read and Pray
Psalm 14:4, 53:4, 64:5, 91:8, 94:2, 140:1-3, Matt 9:12; Rom 3:13. Pray for the soul of the departed, that he might find rest. Pray for other teenagers who may be in distress. Pray for parents and families. Pray for the love of God in the hearts of our children.

Tesla billionaire Elon Musk has blamed birth control and abortions for the impending ‘collapse’ of civilisation.
According to the Telegraph, the Tech tycoon said that procreation has been ‘subverted’ by modern methods of contraception. Adding, that ‘limbic instinct’ can be satisfied without it.
He said: ‘Once you have birth control and abortions and whatnot, now you can still satisfy the limbic instinct but not procreate.’
Meanwhile, Mr Musk also said he was worried that if not enough people are born to sustain population numbers, civilisation is going to crumble.
The billonaire described it as ‘the biggest danger to humanity – exceeding climate change’.
Unsustainable
Daniel, Lord Hannan, writing in the Daily Telegraph, is also awake to the problem:
‘No political party will address the most immediate threat to our prosperity, though it stands in plain sight, huge and menacing. The proportion of workers to pensioners in our population is about to become unsustainable.
‘We could tackle the problem in various ways. We could raise the retirement age and impose a haircut on public-sector pension schemes. We could make deep cuts elsewhere. We could import millions of workers. Or we could have more babies.
‘In practice, we will probably end up doing a combination of these things. But only the last offers a viable long-term solution.’
Birth rates decline
Data from a variety of sources including the United Nations and the World Bank indicates that the total number of live births is falling around the world, including in developing nations.
Some commentators, whose intentions are obviously not Godly, and who may have been watching too many apocalyptic movies, have suggested that the decrease in fertility rates is good news for ‘our descendants’ if there are any, who will escape gruesome deaths brought on by food shortages and starvation.
In the real world, how is the current decline in birth rates or wiping out God’s creation good news to any sane human?
The Bible records the Lord’s repeated command to the sons of Noah: Gen 9:1 And God blessed Noah and his sons, and said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth.
Genesis 9.7 And you, be ye fruitful, and multiply; bring forth abundantly in the earth, and multiply therein.
“Effective medicines and access to education for women”
World Economic Media on birth decline
World Economic Media said: ‘In previous generations, national birth rates were high as adult populations reproduced to ensure they would be taken care of in old age, and parents frequently had many children. However, factors such as the development of what they claim are ‘more effective medicines and improved access to education’ for women may be contributing to declining fertility rates’.
Meanwhile, the term ‘education for women’ has been sold through various programmes by the United Nations and the World Health Organisation. These schemes inevitably include abortion policies and reproductive health.
Even more, we have elsewhere reported that the World Health Organisation(WHO) also wants to compel its 194 Member States to legalise abortion on demand up to birth. We are urging pro-life nations to stand with Scripture and demand the abortion measure be thrown out.
The Bible says, Gen 5:2 Male and female created he them; and blessed them, and called their name Adam, in the day when they were created.
And God told them: Gen 1:28 And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.
That commandment and its repetition to the sons of Noah has never been repealed. Even in Babylon, when the people of Judah were in exile, the Lord’s prophet commanded: Jer 29:6 Take ye wives, and beget sons and daughters; and take wives for your sons, and give your daughters to husbands, that they may bear sons and daughters; that ye may be increased there, and not diminished.
Too scared to have children
Edred Whittingham, a Just Stop Oil protester told GB News after his snooker protest he will remain childless ‘on moral grounds given the uncertainties of climate change’. He added that: ‘It would be wrong to bring children into the world when he can’t guarantee there will be a habitable planet for them to grow up in’.
Not having children is a form of sloth, which the Bible condemns: Prov 22:13 The slothful man saith, There is a lion without, I shall be slain in the streets.
We must continue to pray for our young people as it is apparently not just climate fanatics like him who think along such lines. According to a global study of 10,000 people aged 16 to 25, an astonishing 39 percent said they were hesitant to have children one day because they’re so scared of climate change.
Although coming from a different angle, some Christian young people may draw the same conclusion as we are ‘in the last days’. They are equally in defiance of the Biblical command.
Humans are ‘a plague’
Claiming that humans are responsible for all problems in the world is as deeply-held by the elite as it is misanthropic. Sir David Attenborough has said: ‘Today we’re living in an era in which the biggest threat to human wellbeing, to other species, and to the Earth as we know it, might well be ourselves. The issue of population size is always controversial because it touches on the most personal decisions we make. But we ignore it at our peril.’
Moreso, he said the only way to save ‘the planet’ from famine and species extinction is to limit human population growth. ‘We are a plague on the Earth. It’s coming home to roost over the next 50 years or so. It’s not just climate change; it’s sheer space, places to grow food for this enormous horde.’
Rob Lyons commented in Spiked-Online: ‘Attenborough merely parrots the anti-human spirit of our times. It is Attenborough’s view of humanity, not humanity itself, which is toxic.’ David Attenborough is patron of ‘Population Matters’ the U.K.’s largest population control trust.
Population Matters would even have humankind ‘voluntarily’ reduce our current population of seven billion by about half to save the planet. They never say how.
Humans are not the problem
In his 1798 publication, ‘An essay on the Principle of Population’, Rev Thomas Malthus proposed a theory called “moral restraint,” which aimed to reduce the birth rate and prevent society from exceeding, as he saw it, its ability to feed itself.
However, food production has drastically increased since Malthus’ time, making his theory obsolete, if it were ever valid. But many, like population campaigner Paul Erlich, author of the 1968 book ‘The Population Bomb’ still cling to his ideas.
The global population has been steadily increasing for a long time, with around 75% of growth occurring in the past century, and over 50% of it happening since 1970. However, the United Nations predicts that population growth is likely soon to approach zero, especially in more developed countries.
The primary causes of population collapse today are not war or disease, however, but social evolution, including the decline of the family and religion, as well as diminished economic opportunity and a soaring cost of living.
Leave families alone
Legalising same-sex relationships and abortion programmes are all threats to population and to the family unit ordained by God.
In the United Kingdom, abortion, sodomy and gross indecency were all decriminalised in 1967. They all discourage pregnancy and promoting immoral behaviour and sinful actions in the eyes of God. Fifty-six years later and ‘gay pride’ marches are prevalent throughout the UK and the government has legalised same-sex marriage and transgenderism.
Christians are facing discrimination due to equality laws, and the administration is actively promoting LGBT agenda and abortion to students in schools and to nations abroad. We are truly living in the Days of Lot.
In the absence of natural fecundity, only Muslim immigration and desire for children will fund UK pensions and that only in the short term. That itself brings a challenge to our Christian constitution. In practice, Christians have not just a Biblical duty, which should in itself be enough, but a moral duty to do what their bodies were designed for and have more children. The tax burden and the size of the public sector both need to reduce as well. We are not starting from a good place. But let us at least begin to recognise and pray into the challenge that faces us.
PRAY: That Christians will wake up to the challenges, to the demands and commands of the Lord and take a prophetic, Biblical view of life today. Pray for the Church to become more masculine and attract more young men. May there be Christian marriages and families big enough to demand a people carrier. Read: Psalm 14:4, 53:4, 64:5, 91:8, 94:2, 140:1-3, Matt 9:12; Rom 3:13.

The Archbishop of Canterbury has at last published the Order of Service for the Coronation of King Charles III. The coronation will take place tomorrow, Saturday 6th May 2023.
We shall be holding our monthly prayer meeting at Canning Road, West Ham, London E15 3ND, from 10.30aqm to 12.30pm. Find full details HERE. Come if you can, but best bring an umbrella.
On the other hand, you may be watching the Coronation on TV. If so, I hope this very brief article will bless you and inspire you to pray and proclaim ‘the lively oracles of God’.
How does it compare?
So how does the service compare to the Order of Service, one month short of seventy years ago, for her late majesty, Queen Elizabeth II? In what particulars is it the same? And where does it differ?
Last month Christian Voice published a Coronation Special newsletter. We went through the 1953 Order of Service. In particular we set out the form of the Coronation Oath and carried out a Biblical exposition of the four main scriptures.

The presentation and acceptance of the monarch remains. It will however be repeated four times. The Moderator of the Church of Scotland will present the Bible to the king. His prayer is unchanged: ‘Sir: to keep you ever mindful of the law and the Gospel of God as the Rule for the whole life and government of Christian Princes, receive this Book, the most valuable thing that this world affords. Here is Wisdom; This is the royal Law; These are the lively Oracles of God.
The Coronation Oath remains the same. That is because it is set in statute law. It will be introduced by the Archbishop. His spin will be that it is rather more to do with the Church and freedom of religion than affairs of state. However, in case anyone is tempted to meddle with it, he will say it has ‘stood for centuries’ and is ‘enshrined in law’.
The most holy part of the service, the anointing of the king to rule under God, remains.
The prayer as the king receives the sword is still based on Rom. 13:1-7. The king will still receive the regalia.
What has changed?
You will see a different form of words on the presentation of the Orb, but one which still declares Christ rules over all earthly dominions. Why the change? Answers please in the comments below!
The readings from Scripture are different. In 1953 we heard 1Pet. 2:13-17 as the Epistle and Matt 22:15-22 as the Gospel. Remember the service is an Anglican communion rite.
The I Peter text urges submission to the governing authorities and liberty under the law. The Matthew text places the earthly governments of ‘Caesar’ firmly under God.
In 2023 for the Anglican Epistle reading we have Colossians 1:9-17. The Authorised or King James version will be used. Rishi Sunak is due to read it. The Gospel is Luke 4:16-21. There is a ‘sung Alleluia’ either side of the Gospel, from Psalm 47:1-2 & Psalm 47:6-7.
The Colossians reading concludes by stating that creation was founded by and is sustained by Christ Jesus. It includes: ‘thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, And he is before all things, and by him all things consist.’
The Luke reading is the account of our Lord in the synagogue in Nazareth. In it, the Lord proclaimed himself as Messiah. We shall see what the Archbishop will make of it when he gives his sermon.
Prayers of blessing
The king wanted leaders of non-Christian faiths to be involved in the service. That will not happen. People of other faiths will present him with regalia. ‘Faith leaders’ will process in and take their seats. Neither carries the same spiritual significance as participation in the liturgy, in my view. Some may take exception to our Hindu Prime Minister reading the Epistle, but all sorts reading the Bible is allowed under Canon Law.
A departure from 1953, perhaps the only possible nod to the king’s request, is the leaders of two of the UK’s non-Protestant denominations giving prayers of blessing. They will be the Cardinal Archbishop of Westminster and the Greek Orthodox Archbishop of Thyateira & Great Britain.
Charles wanted to be ‘defender of faith’. But the Archbishop in his promise of homage will address him firmly as ‘Defender of the Faith’, that title bestowed on King Henry VIII by the pope of his time.
Lastly, the king will declare himself ‘solemnly and sincerely in the presence of God’ … ‘that I am a faithful Protestant, and that I will, according to the true intent of the enactments which secure the Protestant succession to the Throne, uphold and maintain the said enactments to the best of my powers according to law.’
Make of that what you will, but remember in the comments below to be generous and to call no man a liar.
Prayers
The Coronation Ritual is the most solemn and rare moment of our national life. Pray this United Kingdom will remain a nation under God. May he use the Coronation to bring many to faith in our risen, ascended, glorified Lord Jesus, and to revive us as a Christian nation again.

How Christian Voice began, what we have done by the grace of God, and how you can make an impact for the Kingdom of God by supporting this ministry. (Published April 2023)
Christian Voice came about when Christian activists gathered at Hothorpe Hall in October 1994, concerned about the rise of the homosexual lobby and challenged by the following verse of scripture:
Psalm 94:16 Who will rise up for me against the evildoers? or who will stand up for me against the workers of iniquity?
Five of those present decided to support Stephen Green as National Director of a new para-church organisation founded solidly on scripture.
They formed Christian Voice with the following objects:
1 To uphold Christianity as the Faith of the United Kingdom.
2 To be a voice for Biblical values in law and public policy.
3 To defend and support traditional family life.
4 At all times to rely humbly on the blessing of Almighty God.
In summary, we believe, as the king was told when he was given the Orb set under the Cross from the Crown Jewels on 6th May 2023, that ‘The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of his Christ; and he shall reign for ever and ever’ (Rev 11:15). Jesus really is King of kings!
We merged with the National Council for Christian Standards in Society in 2009. Our charitable objects are: ‘the promotion of the principles of historical biblical Christianity and the information and education of the national public and of responsible authorities on the basis of these principles in particular…’
In the UK we uphold our Christian constitution and bring scripture to bear on current events, informing parliamentarians and the public and giving Christians the information they need to fulfil their Christian duty to pray for those in authority and take action, often by writing to their MP.
In the past we have also stood up for our Lord countering blasphemy, most notably against Jerry Springer the Opera in 2006.
Of course, this is done out of love for our land. Scripture tells us a nation will be blessed if it follows God’s ways. We want the UK to have that blessing. We want things to ‘go well’:
2Chron 12:12 And when he (Rehoboam) humbled himself, the wrath of the LORD turned from him, that he would not destroy him altogether: and also in Judah things went well.
The same applies to any and every nation. Therefore, overseas, we empower Christians to expose evil and stand up for righteousness in their nation. Western governments and foundations are trying to export immorality, flooding activist NGOs in the Caribbean, Africa and Asia with money to agitate for legalised abortion, unnatural offences and transgenderism. Not one pro-abortion or pro-sodomy NGO in the developing world is locally funded. Every single one is effectively a foreign agent.
So we are alerting Christians in Africa to give them the tools to stand up, pray into this and speak to dignitaries, MPs, Chiefs, Pastors, Dignitaries to encourage them to resist Western cultural imperialism. Christians in the UK are used to funding and building schools, churches and orphanages in the developing world. Our added ingredient is to think of the society those children will growing up into. Will it be dissolute and rebellious like the UK? Or will it walk in the ways of the Lord and be blessed? The Lord is raising up overseas Christian Voice affiliates rapidly. Our job is to keep up with him!

The 75th World Health Assembly in Geneva, May 2022
The World Health Organisation wants to compel its 194 Member States to legalise abortion on demand up to birth.
The WHO also wants to impose ‘pandemic prevention measures’ on its Member States.
We are calling for Bible-based prayer to counter both measures. Christians world-wide can pray for and speak to the country’s delegates, who are appointed by governments.
Each member state will send three delegates to the World Health Assembly meeting from 21st to 30th May 2023. Scripture demands the abortion measure should be thrown out. Phone your national delegates and ask to meet with them if possible. Ask them to move a motion in the World health Assembly in May 2023 to remove the WHO Abortion Care Guideline.

The World Health Organisation (WHO) published its updated abortion care guideline in March 2022. Click here to download the Executive Summary pdf. It recommends complete decrimalisation of abortion. It states that babies should be aborted up until the moment they emerge from the birth canal, without delay, whenever a pregnant woman requests it.
WHO considers its document to be a ‘guideline’ rather than a recommendation. Nevertheless, it expects all 194 Member States of the World Health Assembly to follow it. Although the WHO does not have the power to enforce guidelines, a ‘guideline’ in the WHO’s terminology is an instruction that countries are expected to adhere to.
The WHO couches its recommendations in terms of ‘human rights’, pretending there is a human right to abortion. The term appears 21 times in the Executive Summary. It also states: ‘It has been affirmed that the right to non-discrimination guaranteed by the International Covenant on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights (ICESCR) includes sexual orientation, gender identity and sex characteristics.’ None of that is actually in the ICESCR which you can read here.
Baby or Pregnancy Tissue?
‘Pregnancy Tissue’? Unborn baby at just 8 weeks
We used the term ‘babies’ above. Nevertheless, the words ‘baby’ or ‘babies’ are nowhere in the document. You will also search in vain for ‘mother’ or ‘womb’. ‘Mother’ is replaced by the outrageous trans-friendly ‘woman, girl or other pregnant person’. ‘Womb’ becomes ‘uterus’ but is only used twice, both times of the context of ‘emptying’ it.
The term ‘baby’ is replaced by the bleak and unscientific term ‘pregnancy tissue’. For example:
‘Expectant management can be offered as an option on the condition that the woman, girl or other pregnant person is informed of the longer time for expulsion of the pregnancy tissue and the increased risk of incomplete emptying of the uterus.’ ‘Pregnancy tissue should be treated in the same way as other biological material unless the individual expresses a desire for it to be managed otherwise.’
There is no recognition from the WHO that a baby, or ‘pregnancy tissue’, is ever a human being. If it is not, what is it?
Cultural imperialism
The WHO guideline is indicative of a troubling and hazardous anti-life culture within the international health elite. This culture relies on denying reality to achieve a predetermined outcome. It misuses human rights to impose a specific worldview on the developing world. This is cultural imperialism. It goes against the community-driven and anti-colonialist principles upon which the WHO was established in 1948.
Regardless of one’s stance on abortion, the shortcomings in the WHO’s human rights arguments and their lack of consideration for the diversity of opinion, their use of language to obscure, show the organisation is more focused on enforcing woke preconceptions than working on evidence.

While the World Health Organisation may have a role in providing guidance on the safety of medical procedures, they should not assume the authority to make moral judgments. Scripture is clear that abortion is a sin before God if there is not a life-threatening situation to the mother.
Only 16% of the WHO budget comes from member states. The bulk of the funding comes from NGOs and companies. The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation and the Rockefeller Foundation and GAVI-the Vaccine Alliance are the lead foundation funders. It is said that ‘he who pays the piper calls the tune’. The father of Bill Gates, William Gates Sr., was a trustee of Planned Parenthood and sat on its board. The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation has never disowned IPPF and has even given them money.
The Biblical witness
The Bible has so much to say on human development, on the sanctity of human life, the seriousness of shedding innocent blood and on child sacrifice, of which, plainly, abortion is our modern equivalent. Firstly, these words, written 1000 years before the birth of our Lord Jesus, are incredibly perceptive about human development:
Psalm 139:13 For thou hast possessed my reins (insides): thou hast covered me in my mother’s womb. 14 I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well. 15 My substance was not hid from thee, when I was made in secret, and curiously wrought … 16 Thine eyes did see my substance, yet being unperfect; and in thy book all my members were written, which in continuance were fashioned, when as yet there was none of them. Eccl 11:5 As thou knowest not what is the way of the spirit, nor how the bones do grow in the womb of her that is with child: even so thou knowest not the works of God who maketh all.
So the Bible teaches there is a human being growing in the womb. The Psalmist says ‘me in my mother’s womb’. That was ‘me’ from conception.
Sanctity of human life
On the sanctity of human life, the Bible says: Gen 9:6 Whoso sheddeth man’s blood, by man shall his blood be shed: for in the image of God made he man.
On the seriousness of taking human life: Gen 4:10 And he (God) said (to Cain), What hast thou done? the voice of thy brother’s blood crieth unto me from the ground.
Exod 20:13 Thou shalt not kill.
Numb 35:33 So ye shall not pollute the land wherein ye are: for blood it defileth the land: and the land cannot be cleansed of the blood that is shed therein, but by the blood of him that shed it.
Moreover, those who shed human life for money are condemned: Deut 27:25 Cursed be he that taketh reward to slay an innocent person. And all the people shall say, Amen. Prov 6:16 These six things doth the LORD hate: yea, seven are an abomination unto him: 17 A proud look, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood, …
The Bible says: Psalm 127:3 Lo, children are an heritage of the Lord: and the fruit of the womb is his reward.
How dare the WHO presume to take away that heritage and that reward from the poorest in society.

The World Health Organisation wants to impose ‘pandemic prevention measures’ on its 194 member states by means of a new international treaty.
Furthermore, changes to the International Health Regulations could prevent member states like Sweden deciding on their own approach to health challenges.
The WHO also wants to compel its member states to legalise abortion on demand up to birth.
Each member state will send three delegates to the World Health Assembly meeting from 21st to 30th May 2023. Scripture demands both issues be debated. Firstly, the Treaty might not even be necessary and should not encroach on national sovereign rights in any event. Secondly, the abortion measure should be thrown out. However, there is little sign the UK Government will disagree with the WHO on either matter. So it will be up to other nations.
MPs debated the Pandemic Prevention, Preparedness and Response: International Agreement in Westminster Hall earlier this week, on Monday 17th April 2023.
The debate was triggered because more than 156,000 people expressed their concerns by signing a petition, urging the government to refrain from signing any World Health Organisation (WHO) pandemic treaty without prior approval through a public referendum. Read the Hansard record of the debate. The speeches of MPs Danny Kruger, Andrew Bridgen, Sir Christopher Chope, Esther McVey and Sally-Ann Hart, and intervention from John Redwood were encouraging. The front-bench contributions were less so.
Andrew Bridgen MP quoted George Santayana: ‘Those who fail to learn the lessons of history are doomed to repeat them. I have some severe worries that the lessons of the last pandemic have not been learned by the WHO itself, and that we are in danger of giving it more powers to enable it to overreach itself and repeat those catastrophic mistakes.’
The debate was moved by Nick Fletcher, a member of the Petitions Committee. It was his job to introduce the petition but not to take sides. However, he damned the WHO with faint praise, saying it had done ‘some wonderful work.’ He explained that less than 20% of its budget comes from members states. He acknowledged the concerns over ‘philanthropists and pharmaceutical companies that make contributions’ to the WHO.
STOP PRESS 26/05/2023: Six conservative MPs, led by the aforementioned Esther McVey with colleagues Sir John Redwood, David Davis, Philip Davies, Sir Christopher Chope and Danny Kruger, have written to ministers about the dangers. The Daily Telegraph says ministers are now taking the matter seriously, but its story does not raise the prospect of the UK objecting to the proposed treaty at the World Health Assembly meeting 21st to 30th May 2023, being held as the Telegraph went to press with their story.
Following the big donors
Above all, the WHO is in thrall to its big donors, all believers in technology, restrictions and vaccines. EuroNews says: ‘The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation alone is responsible for over 88 per cent of the total amount donated by philanthropic foundations to the WHO. Other contributors include the Bloomberg Family Foundation (3.5 per cent), the Wellcome Trust (1.1 per cent) and the Rockefeller Foundation (0.8 per cent).’
Alongside member nations and the European Commission, WHO says here that its top donors are the COVID-19 Solidarity Fund, GAVI the Vaccine Alliance and various United Nations programmes.
It has been said the WHO may not receive money direct from pharmaceutical companies. However, such money is channeled through ‘patient groups’ instead. See HERE.
In March 2021, global leaders, including Boris Johnson, called for the development of a treaty to strengthen international collaboration in pandemic management. Subsequently, in October 2021, a WHO working group produced a preliminary report (known as a ‘zero draft’) for submission to the World Health Assembly (WHA), the WHO’s decision-making body.
Following this, the WHA held a second special session in December 2021, during which it established an Intergovernmental Negotiating Body (INB) responsible for drafting and negotiating the treaty, intended as a fresh global agreement aimed at promoting joint efforts for preventing, preparing for, and responding to pandemics.
The treaty is expected to be adopted under Article 19 of the WHO Constitution, which empowers the WHA to endorse conventions or agreements related to any matter within the WHO’s jurisdiction.
Regulations could stop Swedish-style dissent
Furthermore, proposed changes to the International Health Regulations (IHR) are also being rushed towards a deadline of May 2024, for adoption at the 2024 World Health Assembly.
Writing in the Daily Sceptic, Professor Robert Dingwall points out that the changes remove the necessity for states to agree to measures being imposed. Sweden could no longer decide its own, limited, response to a health challenge. The amendments, proposed by the US Biden regime, remove the necessity to take the views of member states into account. Such requirements are simply deleted from the IFR. See HERE.
Robert Dingwall writes:
‘Currently, the WHO can issue recommendations to members when a Public Health Emergency of International Concern (PHEIC) is declared. The amendments have the effect of changing recommendations to directions or commands. The definition of a PHEIC is loosened so that the Director-General can declare one in response to a potential, rather than an actual, threat and regardless of the views of the state from which the threat is thought to arise. Once this declaration is made, the new text moves away from the present language, based on the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, to subordinate rights to the discretion of the DG, who acquires the power to close borders, require vaccine passports, mandate vaccinations, impose quarantines and censor media critical of these interventions. The DG is to be the sole source of pandemic truth.’
Lockdowns and Vaccines
We need to remember that in 2021, governments worldwide had adopted the idea that the way to prevent respiratory infections was by restrictions on movement, economic and social activity, by facemasks and lockdowns. Christian Voice opposed all of them as contrary to scripture. All are now being gradually discredited. The then Secretary of State Matt Hancock defended those measures and criticised those who would ‘let the virus rip’. But it and its variants ‘ripped’ anyway, despite his arrogance of presuming to ‘control the spread’ by locking the population indoors.
Nevertheless, such failed measures still inform the WHO ‘Zero Draft’. It speaks in Article 4(10) of ‘public health and social measures’, in Article 14(2) about ‘restrictions’. Under the treaty, lockdowns could be mandated worldwide.
We also recall that our Government promoted ‘vaccination’ as the way out of restrictions. Gene therapy drugs were rushed out without testing. Only two days ago we reported on a widower taking AstraZeneca to court seeking compensation for the death of his wife, a BBC presenter, blamed by the coroner on the vaccine.
So it is interesting to read in Zero Draft: ‘Article 9 (5). The Parties shall establish, no later than XX, with reference to existing models, a global compensation mechanism for injuries resulting from pandemic vaccines.’
Does the UK support the treaty?
Then Prime Minister Boris Johnson was a signatory to the article initially proposing the treaty. See HERE.
On 27th May 2022, the Government responded to the Parliamentary petition, stating that it supported a new legally-binding instrument ‘as part of a cooperative and comprehensive approach to pandemic prevention, preparedness, and response.’
The UK’s position on the exact substance of the treaty remains to be seen as negotiations continue. Nevertheless, the debate made clear all the opposition parties support it as it stands. Furthermore, the Minister of State, Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office, Anne-Marie Trevelyan MP said, ‘we want to support the development of this new pandemic instrument.’
External ‘Fact-Checkers’ have dismissed concerns about the proposed Treaty. Ironically, given their past form, that is reason enough to oppose it.
On the other side of the fence, The Daily Sceptic has raised alarms.
Arrogance
Dr Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, Director General of the World Health Organisation
At the fourth meeting of the Intergovernmental Negotiating Body (INB), held from 27th February – 3rd March 2023, a preliminary version (zero draft) of the treaty was presented for review. The primary objective of the WHO CA+ they say, ‘is to achieve effective management of pandemics worldwide.’
The WHO elite believe the ‘international community’ showed a ‘catastrophic failure to demonstrate solidarity and equity in the face of the COVID-19 pandemic’. The aim is clearly to go further than a continuation of the status quo and to make sure everyone toes whatever line is chosen. As the WHO shows no willingness to learn from mistakes, anything is possible.
Moreover, there is a lack of universally recognised criteria to determine the conclusion of a pandemic. Is the current one over yet? It is the WHO Director-General, Dr Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, who will make the declaration. Under the Treaty and the Amendments his decision will be binding.
According to Article 19(1c) of the draft report the UK government will be committed to allocating in its annual budgets not less than 5% of its current health expenditure to pandemic prevention, preparedness, response and health systems recovery.
The allocation of 5% amounts to approximately £7.5 billion for England and Wales. This is equivalent to about half of the General Practice budget. Is that affordable?
Luke 14:28 For which of you, intending to build a tower, sitteth not down first, and counteth the cost, whether he have sufficient to finish it? 29 Lest haply, after he hath laid the foundation, and is not able to finish it, all that behold it begin to mock him, 30 Saying, This man began to build, and was not able to finish.
The Bible on Sovereignty
Christian Voice is concerned with sovereignty, God-given freedoms, definitions, the costs of this treaty and its vainglorious pretence that respiratory infections can be controlled by men in suits. In article 4 (8) it repeats the glib mantra: ‘previous pandemics have demonstrated that no one is safe until everyone is safe’.
One the matter of sovereignty, we read how God separated the nations with a mandate to carry out his rule of law: Gen 10:32 These are the families of the sons of Noah, after their generations, in their nations: and by these were the nations divided in the earth after the flood.
The Apostle Paul confirmed the division of nations, while emphasising our common humanity: Acts 17:26 And hath made of one blood all nations of men for to dwell on all the face of the earth, and hath determined the times before appointed, and the bounds of their habitation;
The Tower of Babel was the first instance of mankind’s quest to rebel against God by bringing all the nations together under a demonic authority: Gen 11:4 And they said, Go to, let us build us a city and a tower, whose top may reach unto heaven; and let us make us a name, lest we be scattered abroad upon the face of the whole earth. 5 And the LORD came down to see the city and the tower, which the children of men builded.
God destroyed the Tower and confused their language, but the supra-national ambition remains. It is spoken about in Psalm 2: Psalm 2:2 The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the LORD, and against his anointed, … 4 He that sitteth in the heavens shall laugh: the Lord shall have them in derision.
As to their arrogance in presuming to fight a respiratory infection, the Bible says we know nothing about how God has ordered the world:
Job 37:14 Hearken unto this, O Job: stand still, and consider the wondrous works of God. 15 Dost thou know when God disposed them, and caused the light of his cloud to shine? 16 Dost thou know the balancings of the clouds, the wondrous works of him which is perfect in knowledge? … 23 Touching the Almighty, we cannot find him out: he is excellent in power, and in judgment, and in plenty of justice: he will not afflict. 24 Men do therefore fear him: he respecteth not any that are wise of heart.
John 3:8 The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit.
Prayer
Pray for our leaders to seek the Lord for humility, for his wisdom and understanding:
Prov 9:10 The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom: and the knowledge of the holy is understanding.
Matt 20:25 But Jesus called them unto him, and said, Ye know that the princes of the Gentiles exercise dominion over them, and they that are great exercise authority upon them. 26 But it shall not be so among you: but whosoever will be great among you, let him be your minister; 27 And whosoever will be chief among you, let him be your servant:
Pray that delegate countries will object to the draft Treaty. Pray that the UK Government will seek the Lord, and seek the will of the people even in a public referendum. Let them promote transparency and accountability in the decision-making process and restore by servant leadership that sense of trust between the government and the people which over the last few years has been lost.

The Covid-19 vaccination programme faces more criticism as a man sues AstraZeneca over vaccine complications that led to his wife’s death. Gareth Eve said he’s been left with ‘no alternative’ but to take legal action against AstraZeneca. The legal action alleges that the vaccine is a ‘defective product’ and ‘unsafe.’
These developments add to growing concerns about Covid-19 vaccines and their potential risks.
A coroner concluded in August 2021 that Lisa Shaw, a 44-year-old BBC Radio Newcastle employee for over 4 years, died from a rare condition called vaccine-induced thrombotic thrombocytopenia, which is linked to vaccination.
According to her husband, Lisa was fine until she took the shot. Our previous articles raised serious questions about these vaccines both Biblically and scientifically. They have turned out to be of negligible use at best and positively dangerous at worst. In Lisa Eve’s case, a healthy young woman took a drug she did not need to ward off a potential disease she was at little risk from and she died as a result. The words of the Lord Jesus, in the context of calling sinners to repentance, take on a new significance:
Luke 5:31 And Jesus answering said unto them, They that are whole need not a physician; but they that are sick.
Vaccine-induced thrombotic thrombocytopenia (VITT) is a rare and serious side effect of some COVID-19 vaccines, particularly those that use adenovirus vector technology such as the AstraZeneca and Johnson & Johnson vaccines.
VITT occurs when the body’s immune system produces antibodies against platelet factor 4 (PF4), a protein that helps blood clot. These antibodies can bind to PF4 and form complexes that activate platelets and trigger the formation of blood clots. This can cause thrombosis (blood clots) in various parts of the body, particularly in the brain, abdomen, and legs, and can also lead to a low platelet count (thrombocytopenia).
According to the NHS, the symptoms of VITT can include severe headache, blurred vision, shortness of breath, abdominal pain, leg swelling, and easy bruising or petechiae (small red or purple spots on the skin). Treatment for VITT typically involves anticoagulant therapy and may require hospitalization.
Government Unresponsive: Silence Persists
The BBC reports that despite his two-year effort to get the Government, MPs, and three prime ministers to address Lisa’s case, Mr. Eve said that there has been no response. As a result, he resorted to legal action against AstraZeneca. He said the lawsuit is not about being ‘anti-vax’, but rather for those who have lost loved ones and have been made to feel ashamed of it. Moreover, Mr. Eve himself is vaccinated.’
It’s not about Covid, it’s not about how many lives the Covid vaccination has saved, it’s about what this vaccination has done to Lisa and other families,’ he told the BBC.
In the meantime, it is worth investigating why both the government and AstraZeneca chose not to address the concerns of a man who had lost his wife to the vaccine they had authorised.
As we were going to press, the Daily Sceptic reported on a new group of doctors and health professionals who have sent a report on Covid vaccine safety to every Member of Parliament. They call for suspension of the drugs. The group is named after the ancient Greek hero Perseus, who according to mythology slew the Gorgon Medusa, a fearsome monster with snakes instead of hair. Let us pray they can live up to the name. We too, when we pray, need to be aware of the monster are up against:
Eph 6:12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
Nearly 75 claimants
In November, attorneys handling the case sent pre-action protocol letters to AstraZeneca on behalf of nearly 75 claimants. Several of these individuals alleged that they had lost relatives or suffered injuries as a result of receiving the vaccine.
The claimants are pursuing legal action under the Consumer Protection Act 1987 and are seeking compensation under the government’s Vaccine Damage Payment Scheme.
Solicitor Peter Todd from Scott-Moncrieff and Associates, which is acting for the claimants, said damages were being pursued on the basis that the vaccine was a ‘defective product in that it was not as safe as consumers generally were reasonably entitled to expect’.
Robust clinical trials?
In September 2020, the Oxford-AstraZeneca vaccine received approval, with authorities asserting that it had undergone rigorous clinical trials in the UK. It was thought that the makers of the vaccine, the first to obtain authorisation for use in the UK, would take responsibility for any errors or at least address inquiries regarding its adverse effects. Instead, any problems were covered up.
The government procured 100 million doses for its vaccination campaign and dispensed it in clinics throughout the country alongside the Pfizer vaccine. Further, the Department for Health and Social Care spokesperson asserted that the vaccines were ‘the most effective means of preventing the disease’ but admitted that in exceedingly rare instances, individuals who received the vaccine suffered severe disability or death.
They added: ‘More than 144 million Covid vaccines have been given in England, which has helped the country to live with Covid and saved thousands of lives.
‘All vaccines being used in the UK have undergone robust clinical trials and have met the Medicines and Healthcare Products Regulatory Agency’s (MHRA’s) strict standards of safety, effectiveness, and quality.’ Meanwhile, there were also reports of these vaccines triggering blood clots.
In truth, the vast majority of people would have been better relying on their God-given immune system:
Psalm 139:14 I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well.
In reality, of course, our immune system makes pharmaceutical companies no money.
Are pharmaceutical industry insiders independent?
The revelation of the financial interests of MHRA board members in vaccine manufacturers has raised questions about conflicts of interest. In October 2020, when AstraZeneca was being rolled out, a webpage of ‘Board members’ financial interests’ revealed that several board members held shares in vaccine manufacturers.

For instance, chairman Stephen Lightfoot was at that time a shareholder in Glaxo Smith Kline (GSK) Sir Patrick Vallance held £600,000 worth of shares in the same GSK while he was advising the the Government as their Chief Scientific Adviser. MHRA board members Amanda Calvert and Anne-Toni Rodgers were shareholders of AstraZeneca Pharmaceuticals. Ms Rodgers has since left, but Amanda Calvert is still on the MHRA, with her AstraZeneca shareholdings, as the current Declaration of Interests confirms. The Bible says:
Exod 23:8 And thou shalt take no gift: for the gift blindeth the wise, and perverteth the words of the righteous.
That word says it is impossible for board members to make objective decisions when they have financial interests in the companies they are regulating. It cannot be enough to declare them and claim transparency of the MHRA. We say pharma insiders should not be on the MHRA at all.
Counting the cost of lives lost
Previously, when this news story first emerged, several newspapers, including the Telegraph, reported on it. However, it was unexpected to see that the Telegraph had closed its comment section after only a few comments had been made. This raises the question of why this topic is being treated as if it should be kept secret and not discussed openly.
Meanwhile, Gareth Eve has stated that ‘too many people’ who have suffered illnesses or bereavement related to the vaccine feel as if their situation is ‘a dirty secret.’ He emphasized that this is not about COVID-19 or the number of lives saved by the vaccine, but rather about the harm caused by the AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccine to Lisa and other families. He added that this issue should not be viewed in terms of the vaccine’s effectiveness.
In a statement, a spokesperson for AstraZeneca said: ‘We are unable to comment on ongoing legal matters. Patient safety is our highest priority and regulatory authorities have clear and stringent standards to ensure the safe use of all medicines, including vaccines. Our sympathy goes out to anyone who has reported health problems.’
It has never been true. Their highest priority is profits. Their products were never properly licensed before release. The politicians, the regulators and manufacturers mixed in the same circles. The Bible says:
Isa 1:23 Thy princes are rebellious, and companions of thieves: every one loveth gifts, and followeth after rewards: they judge not the fatherless, neither doth the cause of the widow come unto them.
We issued warnings

Several articles on our website highlighted the potential lethality of this vaccine and its impact on the human immune system, but unfortunately, they have largely been ignored.
Recently, a Member of Parliament made a statement to his fellow MPs, asserting that a prominent figure within the British Heart Foundation is concealing evidence that suggests Covid vaccines can cause damage to the heart.
On December 14th, 2022, Andrew Bridgen urged for an immediate halt to all Covid vaccinations. He cited clear and compelling data that showed the significant risks outweighed any potential benefits.
Even Norway admitted vaccine fatalities, while India, and Australia, reported problems with it. According to a report by Bloomberg on January 16th, 2021, the number of elderly people with serious underlying health conditions who have died after receiving the Pfizer vaccine was estimated at 29.
Furthermore, Lars Erick Taraldsen said: ‘The latest figure adds six to the number of known fatalities in Norway, and lowers the age group thought to be affected to 75 from 80. While it’s unclear exactly when the deaths occurred, Norway has given at least one dose to about 42,000 people and focused on those considered most at risk if they contract the virus, including the elderly.’
Despite numerous warnings, the government has chosen neither to cease the vaccination program nor provide a transparent explanation for its implementation. Why have those at scant risk from Covid been pressed to have Covid vaccines? The lack of transparency and clarity on the part of the authorities has added to the confusion and mistrust surrounding the program, and has reflected badly on vaccines in general.
As the situation unfolds, it is important for the government to take a proactive and transparent approach to regain the trust of the people and to ensure the safety and well-being of the population.

The royal formal invitation to the coronation features the pagan 'Green Man' symbol at its base.
Westminster Abbey will host the coronation of king Charles in just over two weeks time.
The Coronation of King Charles on 6th May 2023 is in disarray, Christian Voice has learned. Lambeth Palace, home and office of the Archbishop of Canterbury, and Buckingham Palace are in dispute over the inclusion of other faiths. The row is the reason why, just over two weeks from the event, the order of service has not yet been published.
The king wants a selection of other faith leaders involved, chiefly a Muslim imam or two. The Archbishop is insisting that the coronation is a Christian service governed by the rules of the established church.
AnglicanInk reports: ‘Charles famously declared his wish to be “Defender of Faith” rather than simply “Defender of the Faith” nearly thirty years ago. It is expected that the Coronation will be more religiously and culturally diverse than the late Queen’s 1953 service. However, Church leaders are reportedly resisting a more active role for other faith leaders given that the event is Anglican in nature and a constitutional affair.’
Furthermore: ‘Archbishop of Canterbury Justin Welby and Archbishop of York Stephen Cottrell have both stated that the Coronation “at its centre is a Christian service… rooted in long-standing tradition and Christian symbolism.” Archbishop Welby is reportedly giving the King “religious guidance” on the significance of his oath, the commitments he will make to his subjects, and the Christian symbolism of the regalia.’ All of that proclaims:
Psalm 33:12 Blessed is the nation whose God is the LORD; and the people whom he hath chosen for his own inheritance.
If the king himself wants that blessing upon his nation he will not taint his coronation by including in it those who assert the supremacy of a pagan deity and/or deny the divinity of the King of kings.
Whose decision is it?

It is the Archbishop who is responsible for the Order of Service. Westminster Abbey is a “royal peculiar” because it is under the jurisdiction of the British monarch and not the Church of England. Nevertheless, it remains an Anglican church, with a Church of England dean in charge.
The Abbey is subject to the canon laws of the Church of England. Canon law bars Muslim, Hindu, Jewish, and other faith leaders from reading prayers during the service. In that regard canon law follows the prophecy of Isaiah:
Isa 42:8 I am the LORD: that is my name: and my glory will I not give to another, neither my praise to graven images. (‘The Lord’ is the KJV translation of the actual name of God: YHWH)
Apparently, a meeting was held at Lambeth Palace last month. Reports said ‘The drafting of the order of service was conducted with “scrupulous regard” for the opinions of Anglican clergy’, whatever that means.
The aim was to publish the Order of Service “before Easter, with suitable guidance for the clergy.” What does that mean? Statements were issued by Lambeth Palace on behalf of the Archbishop of Canterbury and Buckingham Palace, saying that “Details about the Coronation service will be released in due course.”
Shambles
But the delay is beginning to look embarrassing. the Bible says:
1Cor 14:40 Let all things be done decently and in order.
Officials published the order of service for the coronation of HLM Queen Elizabeth II, which was held on 3rd June 1953, almost four months in advance, in February of that year.
Staging going up opposite Westminster Abbey so a select few may watch the coronation procession. But where is the Order of Service?
Here we are, barely two weeks away from a national event of huge significance, and the king’s determination to be inclusive and identitarian has put a massive spanner in the works.
Right now, scaffolders are erecting staging outside Westminster Abbey so people, presumably a select few, can have a view of the king’s procession. Yet he cannot humble himself to agree how the service itself will be constructed.
On a separate note, the Daily Telegraph reports how the red and ermine robes of the nobility coupled with coronets denoting their rank made the late queen’s coronation such a spectacle. However, they have been forbidden to wear them this time around. Only a handful have been invited in any case. They are expected to turn up in lounge suits.
His majesty, whether advised by his ministers or not, appears to be developing the knack of offending everyone at once. There appears not to be an applecart which should not be upset, contrary to scripture, which urges respect for the past:
Prov 22:28 Remove not the ancient landmark, which thy fathers have set.
Communion service
As the Palace website goes so far as to say: ‘The Coronation is a solemn religious service, as well as an occasion for celebration and pageantry.’ Why did the Palace put ‘religious’ rather than‘Christian’?
Westminster Abbey tells it as it is: ‘The order of service is a reminder that coronations take place within a Communion service or Eucharist. The monarch is crowned in the name of God, surrounded by prayer, and the first thing that the newly-crowned monarch does is receive Holy Communion as a sign of his dependency on God.’

The ceremony is built on scripture. The anointing follows Zadok the priest and Nathan the prophet anointing Solomon, as George Handel’s great anthem, ‘Zadok the Priest’, proclaims:
1Kings 1:39 And Zadok the priest took an horn of oil out of the tabernacle, and anointed Solomon. And they blew the trumpet; and all the people said, God save king Solomon.
The covenant between God, the Archbishop, the king and the people is based on Jehoiada’s consecration of Joash (the whole dramatic chapter is worth a read.)
2Kings 11:17 And Jehoiada (the high priest) made a covenant between the LORD and the king and the people, that they should be the LORD’S people; between the king also and the people. (cf 2Chron 23:16)
Does the king understand his role?
We have raised before the question of whether the king even understands his role is to serve the people, as the Bible directs:
1Kings 12:7 And they spake unto him (Rehoboam), saying, If thou wilt be a servant unto this people this day, and wilt serve them, and answer them, and speak good words to them, then they will be thy servants for ever.
We reveal in the first of those articles that His Majesty seems more keen on being a servant to Klaus Schwab and the elites of the World Economic Forum. He appears in his book ‘Harmony’ to make a goddess out of ‘Nature’, which word he always spells with a capital ‘N’.

He fails to stand up for his people against the paganism of the Net Zero fanatics. On top of that, As the Royal website itself displays, the formal invitations to the Coronation prominently feature, almost as a foundation, the mythical ‘Green Man’, the pagan representation of fertility. Away from the historic coats of arms, in the design itself there is not a cross in sight.
Historic UK reports how stonemasons used to sneak in a representation of the ‘green man’ on ancient churches: ‘Pre-Christian pagan traditions and superstitions, particularly those related to nature and tree worship, were still influential in the early Middle Ages.’
A writer on Wikipedia is even more explicit: ‘For many modern pagans, the Green Man is used as a symbol of seasonal renewal and ecological awareness. In Wicca, the Green Man has often been used as a representation of the Horned God, a syncretic deity that incorporates aspects of, among others, the Celtic Cernunnos and the Greek Pan.’
Pray!
The row over the order of service is revealing a lot of rather uncomfortable views held by king Charles. It is our prophetic duty to call on him to repent. As scripture says:
Prov 16:12 It is an abomination to kings to commit wickedness: for the throne is established by righteousness.
In the face of all this, we must fall to our knees in prayer for him, as scripture commands:
1Tim 2:1 I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men; 2 For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty.
