02 HISTORICAL BIBLICAL CHRISTIANITY

From the start, Christian Voice was dedicated to analysing current events in the light of scripture and giving individual Christians the information they need to pray, seek the Lord and take action. We promptly published a Bible Reading plan called ‘Lamplight’ to enable Christians to read through the Bible in a year in a structured way, so they could pray knowing the mind of God.
We saw from scripture that nations are blessed when they walk in the ways of the Lord, and that the Bible commands prayer for our leaders:
1Tim 2:1 I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men; 2 For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty.
That is why from the start we urged our members to pray for national repentance and work for Godly government. One of our earliest publications was a CD called ‘The Day our Queen was Crowned’, analysing the June 1953 coronation ceremony with all its Biblical references and symbolism. At one significant point Her Majesty the Queen was given the Orb under the cross from the Crown Jewels and told to remember ‘the whole earth is subject to the power and empire of Christ our Redeemer’.
At her Coronation, Her Majesty also promised to ‘maintain the laws of God and the true profession of the Gospel.’ However, whether she did or not depended on her ministers.

That realisation prompted us in 1998 to publish a booklet called Britian in Sin, to show how far the United Kingdom had departed from the laws of God. Using the Ten Commandments as a framework, Britain in Sin showed that we had broken every one in multiple ways. The UK’s rebellion against the Lord has only grown worse since, demanding a robust, Christ-centred prophetic response.
In January 2009, Christian Voice merged with the National Council for Christian Standards in Society. NCCSS was set up in 1986 by Maud, Lady Watherston and others to ‘Re-Establish Basic Biblical Christian Teaching Throughout the Nation’.
The charity number of NCCSS is 294803 and the Trust operates as Christian Voice.
The Objects of NCCSS are ‘the promotion of the principles of historical biblical Christianity and the information and education of the national public and of responsible authorities on the basis of these principles in particular…’
03 WHAT WE BELIEVE
Those objects dovetail with those of Christian Voice and give us and our members a prophetic voice. We are to speak truth to those in power.

Jer 1:8 Be not afraid of their faces: for I am with thee to deliver thee, saith the LORD.
From our earliest days Christian Voice has sent out a newsletter to members. It was recently brought up-to-date with a new, attractive layout, but the intent remains: To set out topical issues alongside Biblical truth, with READ, PRAY and WRITE points, empowering and encouraging our members to see what God says, bring matters before him, and witness either on the street or through a letter or email to their respective Member of Parliament, or to someone in public life.
Christian Voice is not ashamed to believe in one creator God, eternally existent in three persons, Father, Son and Holy Spirit, as stated in the historic creeds of the Christian church.

We acknowledge Jesus Christ as Lord over all creation. We believe the Holy Bible to be the inspired, infallible, written Word of God to whose precepts, given for the good of nations and individuals, all man’s laws must submit.
We believe all government to be under the authority of God and that its purpose is the maintenance of freedom and justice solely in accordance with biblical principles.
Our National Director has spoken in many churches in Great Britain and Northern Ireland, sharing these principles and encouraging Christians that Christ does indeed rule in the affairs of men.
