10th November 2018
Gendered Intelligence’ is holding a conference promoting transgenderism this weekend (9th & 10th November 2018) at Resource for London in Holloway Road.
But can a man really become a woman or a woman a man? Are doctors who prescribe opposite-sex hormones and surgeons who carry our gender-reassignment surgery forgetting the basic principle of medicine: ‘First Do No Harm’?
And what about prescribing puberty-blockers to adolescents? How can that be justified?
Does the violence and deception in the transgender world indicate psychological and emotional problems inherent in denying the gender Almighty God has allocated you?
As we are a Christian group, in this leaflet we discuss spirituality and religious faith.
Questions like: Is spiritual oppression at the root of many transgender people’s problems? Can Jesus Christ both forgive sin, heal the mind and deliver from spiritual bondage?
You’ll find our attempt to answer these questions in this leaflet. May God bless you and draw near to you in Jesus Christ today.

The Truth about Transgender
‘Gendered Intelligence’ is holding a conference, ‘Transforming Spaces’, on Friday 9th and Saturday 10th of November 2018 at Resource for London, 356 Holloway Road, London, N7 6PA.
But what is the truth about transgenderism? Sure, it’s fashionable, but can a man really become a woman or a woman a man? Are those doctors who prescribe opposite-sex hormones and those surgeons who mutilate people’s fully-functioning genitals forgetting the fundamental principle of medicine: ‘First Do No Harm’?
From the amount of violence and deception, including self-deception, in the transgender world it is clear that trying to pretend you are the opposite gender from the one Almighty God has allocated to you brings no end of psychological, emotional and spiritual problems.
We even wonder how many ‘trans-men’ and ‘trans-women’ are suffering from oppression by spiritual forces beyond their control.
Birth Certificate falsified
At the moment, anyone can apply to be recognised as the opposite sex from the one he or she was born as. Under the Gender Recognition Act 2005, all they need is an opinion from two doctors, one an expert in ‘gender dysphoria’. That means, literally, ‘unhappiness at gender’. The person can then go and falsify his birth certificate.
Any responsible government would be offering help to such people to come to terms with their real gender. But now the UK Government want to make it even easier for emotionally-challenged individuals to declare they have changed sex. A declaration will be all that is required.
That will mean women’s spaces, changing rooms, toilets, dormitories, even the girl guides and women’s sports, will be invaded by ever more male chancers thinking they are, or perhaps just pretending to be, women.
‘Karen White’ is rapist Stephen Wood
In October 2018, one Stephen Wood sexually assaulted two inmates in a women’s jail. Politically-correct prison officers placed him on remand in HMP New Hall in Wakefield. That was because he claims to be ‘transitioning’ to be ‘Karen White’.
Stephen Wood (sorry, ‘Karen White’ – we mustn’t ‘mis-gender ‘her’, must we) had previously raped two other women. Moreover, a court gave him (sorry, ‘her’) a life sentence for that.
In November 2018, the very first trans-woman front-line soldier, Scots Guardsman Ben ‘Chloe’ Allen, was discovered to be having an affair with his sergeant’s wife. Army bosses had been delighted with such a showcase of diversity. But once again, trans individuals’ built-in emotional flaws were exposed.
No platform to feminists
The ‘trans’ lobby is now powerful and illiberal enough to shout down and ‘no-platform’ respected establishment feminists such as Germaine Greer and Dame Jenni Murray. The latter has just been forced to pull out of an event celebrating women at Oxford University. The student union’s LGBTQ Campaign said she made ‘transphobic comments’ in a 2017 newspaper article.
Indeed, writing for the Sunday Times in March 2017, Dame Jenni said men who have sex-change operations should not claim to be ‘real women’.
She added ‘it takes more than a sex change and make-up’ to ‘lay claim to womanhood’.
The child abuse of puberty-blockers
Worst of all is the pressure on school-children to become dissatisfied with the gender they were born with.
Schools have a duty under the Equality Act 2010 to promote homosexuality and transgenderism. It is bad enough grooming little children for future homosexual advances through homosexual propaganda.
But since the transgender bandwagon started, more and more children are now deciding they are ‘in the wrong body’. And doctors can even prescribe them dangerous hormonal ‘puberty-blocker’ hormones. Children are vulnerable and impressionable. What damage are we doing by what amounts to child sexual abuse?
What Christians believe
We believe God is the Almighty Creator of heaven and earth. Since God created us, he needed to lay down laws by which we should live.
We all fail to keep God’s Commandments. Our sin has put us out of fellowship with God and destined us for hell. However, God is loving and merciful. He wants fellowship with us.
But as he is righteous and holy, our sin prevents it. So how can a holy God forgive us all the wicked things we have done in our lives and bring us into His presence in heaven?
A bit of good news for a change
By being born of a virgin by the power of the Holy Spirit to become ‘Immanuel’, or ‘God with us’, that’s how.
Jesus lived a perfect life, proved his divinity by healing the sick and raising the dead. Jesus even died by crucifixion so we could be forgiven.
In Jesus, who did no wrong, God himself died for us and rose again. God’s justice demands blood be shed for the forgiveness of sins. In his mercy and love for us he provided himself as the only worthy sacrifice.
One day we shall all appear in the Court of Heaven. We shall all be guilty and deserving of punishment.
But to those who believe in Christ, when sentence is passed, the Judge will say, ‘I have already paid the penalty for you myself.’ Because Jesus carried no burden of sin, he could take our sins on himself and be our ransom.
‘I am the way’ says Jesus
Jesus had power to lay down his life and power to take it up again. He was God made man and he rose from the dead. We read:
Acts 4.12: Neither is there salvation in any other; for there is no other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.
The first public words of Jesus, recorded in Mark’s Gospel, were:
Mark 1:15: ‘The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand; repent ye and believe the Gospel’.
But the Gospel does not just mean forgiveness and salvation, it brings healing and deliverance. Whatever sin or spiritual force is oppressing you or holding you back, you will find release and freedom to live true life to the full.
Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ today, and know his forgiveness, salvation, healing and deliverance.
1John 4:15 Whosoever shall confess that Jesus is the Son of God, God dwelleth in him, and he in God. (King James Version)
