Should net zero department be abolished?

The UK faces a critical crossroads in its energy future, industry leaders and politicians have warned at the Offshore Europe conference in Aberdeen. But it is becoming clearer by the day, as target after target is missed, that the NetZero project cannot remain as one of the signposts at the crossroads.

Net Zero is impoverishing the people, sacrificing prosperity on the altar of an man-made idol of climate fanaticism. The Bible says our leaders have a choice:

1Chron 16:26 For all the gods of the people are idols: but the LORD made the heavens.

’Jet Zero’

When Boris Johnson promised Britain would lead the world into an age of “jet zero,” the former prime minister spoke of transatlantic flights powered by sustainable fuels, making air travel ‘guilt-free’.

Billions across the West were poured into research on hydrogen-electric engines, synthetic fuels, and new battery technologies. Airlines have been forced to meet quotas for green fuel, while passengers have faced rising aviation taxes in the name of ‘climate responsibility’.

Five years on, the vision is collapsing. Shell has pulled the plug on a major sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) project in the Netherlands, saying it is too costly and uncompetitive. Analysts now describe the SAF industry as running out of momentum, with even global giants unable to produce affordable fuels at scale.

Electric Aircraft? Dream on

Dale Vince
Dale Vince

In Britain, Dale Vince’s “Ecojet,” heralded as the flag-carrier of green aviation, has laid off most of its staff and is struggling to raise the £20 million needed to launch.

And speaking of ‘launch’, or rather ‘take-off’, it is now clear that the electric aeroplanes which formed a crucial part of ‘Ecojet’ will remain a pipe-dream for one crucial reason: Landing.

Putting an aircraft down onto the tarmac is far more challenging than coaxing it into the air on take-off in the first place. A modern jet airliner can weigh as much as one hundred tons less when landing than it did at takeoff, having expended its fuel on the way. That loss in weight enables the pilot to land safely. The safety issue explains why airline pilots forced into an early emergency landing must, if fuelled up for a long haul, first dump tons of kerosene into the air.

An electric aircraft weighs the same at landing as takeoff. Either the battery will be so small the aircraft will be restricted to a micro route or any pilot will take a risk landing the brute.

Flight levies and taxes scrapped

Governments are beginning to retreat from ‘Jet Zero’ as well. Sweden has scrapped its green flight levy after recognising the damage it inflicted on tourism and industry. India and Germany have also cut aviation taxes.

Landing an aeroplane is more challenging than taking off.
Landing an aeroplane is more challenging than taking off.

Britain, by contrast, has gone in the opposite direction. The Government have raised air passenger duty yet again, despite warnings it punishes families and businesses without delivering meaningful environmental benefit.

It is a form of taxation which bears heavily on ordinary people, now that travel and foreign holidays in the sun are regarded as something of a necessity in the public mind. For the UK Government, the tax is also part of unbiblical levels of taxation imposed to carry out unbiblical policies and activities:

Zechariah 7:9-10 Thus speaketh the LORD of hosts, saying, Execute true judgment, and shew mercy and compassions every man to his brother: And oppress not the widow, nor the fatherless, the stranger, nor the poor; and let none of you imagine evil against his brother in your heart.

OE2025: “UK energy future at crossroads”

Meanwhile, industry leaders and politicians at the Offshore Europe conference in Aberdeen warned that UK energy security must depend on domestic oil and gas.

OEUK chair David Whitehouse argued that future government decisions on oil and gas licenses, the Energy Profits Levy, which puts ‘windfall’ taxes on profits from oil and gas, and renewable energy will determine the future of the North Sea and the broader economy.

The OEUK chair advocates for a path of home-grown energy and reindustrialisation, emphasing that the energy sector is vital for national security, economic prosperity, and highly skilled jobs.

Mr Whitehouse said: ‘The sector is critical – the path to energy security, economic value, highly skilled jobs, tackling emissions. Reindustrialisation not deindustrialisation.’

Kemi ditches ‘transition’

Rt Hon Kemi Badenoch MP
Rt Hon Kemi Badenoch MP

Opposition Leader Kemi Badenoch MP criticised the government’s halt on new exploration licences and continued windfall tax, highlighting that the sector is currently shedding around 1,000 jobs per month.

She warned that without immediate investment, the UK could soon be importing 80% of its oil and gas requirement.

“Oil and gas still account for three-quarters of UK energy needs,” she said. Furthermore, Ms. Badenoch said Norway had made its biggest discovery in 10 years, “while we are leaving our resources untouched.”

Mrs Badenoch also took aim at the ‘North Sea Transition Authority’ quango. The virtue-signalling ‘Transition’ element of its name would go if she becomes prime minister. ‘We also will change the name of the NSTA to just North Sea Authority.’

We are sabotaging ourselves

‘We are sabotaging ourselves and had the lowest oil production in [nearly 50 years]. We’ve got to get that oil and gas out of the ground.’ With domestic output waning, imports now underpin 40% of energy demand, contributing to a £21 billion annual energy trade deficit.

Accordingly, the Tory leader proposed what she described as ‘one clear mission’ for the renamed North Sea Authority: ‘To maximise North Sea production.’

‘We will judge operators on one thing, how much they produce,’ continued Ms. Badenoch. ‘Without investment now, the UK will be importing 80% of its oil and gas, leaving us open to supply squeezes. The economy must come first. It’s about whether Britain grows or declines.’

Net Zero Aid Projects Cancelled

Net zero cash for Malawi villagers axed from aid budget. (habitation-shore-Lake-Malawi).
Net zero cash for Malawi villagers axed from aid budget. (habitation-shore-Lake-Malawi-Monkey-Bay).

On a positive note, the Government have confirmed that millions of pounds will be stripped from overseas aid projects tied to net zero, according to the Telegraph.

Development minister Baroness Chapman outlined the cuts as part of a broader aid budget reduction, targeting schemes in Africa, Asia, and the Middle East.

Among the casualties are cash payments to Malawian villagers apparently designed to help families reinforce homes against extreme weather, as well as projects worth £95 million in Jordan and £120 million in Pakistan. How did they ever manage without neo-colonial largesse?

The cuts follow Sir Keir Starmer’s decision to shrink Britain’s aid budget to just 0.3 per cent of national income by 2027, well below the official 0.7 per cent commitment, in order to divert the 0.4% balance into the Ministry of Defence.

Lady Chapman has spun the reductions as a shift from being an ‘aid donor’ to becoming a ‘partner and investor,’ promising ‘greater scrutiny’ to ensure ‘every pound delivers for the UK taxpayer.’ It may be tempting to laugh, but the Bible says:

Psalm 118:9 It is better to trust in the LORD than to put confidence in princes.

Balancing energy future

Offshore Energies UK estimates that scrapping the Energy Profits Levy could enable the UK to produce 50% of its energy needs by 2050, tapping up to 7.5 billion barrels of recoverable oil versus the 4.3 billion under current tax policy.

However, speakers at the Offshore Europe Conference still could not shake off the climate catastrophe language. They called for an ‘integrated’ approach which they saw as supporting North Sea development while advancing renewables, avoiding what they saw as ‘the false dichotomy of growth versus decarbonisation’.

Mr Whitehouse himself argued to ‘take the polarisation out of the debate’. It was, he said, ‘A debate which too often is boiled down into binary choices. Oil versus renewables. Clean jobs versus dirty jobs. Growth v Net Zero. These are false choices.’

But of course they are not false choices. Economic growth really is incompatible with a net zero agenda. We have seen this clearly in South Wales, where the previous government sacrificed the jobs and prosperity of virgin stell-making at Port Talbot on the altar of net zero. The closure of the blast furnaces was even praised as a great green new dawn by the Business Secretary of the time, one Kemi Badenoch. Watch our video:

Economic burden imposed on families

Families are already feeling the pinch: rising energy bills, squeezed food budgets, and community disruption. We have already reported that a Reform MP has warned that families are being forced to pay £1,000 more each year to meet the costs of Net Zero, .

Ofgem’s upcoming price cap hike will push average annual energy bills to around £1,755, an increase of £35.

The Conservatives estimate that climate policies will add £389 per household per year by 2030, an annual national cost of around £22.8 billion.

Once more, it is unjust, unwarranted and unbiblical taxation. As always, the prophets of old have a word for our leaders of today:

Jeremiah 22:3 Thus saith the LORD; Execute ye judgment and righteousness, and deliver the spoiled out of the hand of the oppressor: and do no wrong, do no violence to the stranger, the fatherless, nor the widow, neither shed innocent blood in this place.

If Net Zero policies continue to penalise homegrown energy without accounting for real-world impacts, the burden falls upon ordinary people.

Prioritising households, securing jobs, and protecting energy sovereignty would be imperatives for any God-fearing leaders who had advancing the prosperity of the people they govern as their first priority. We need to pray for leaders who know this word of the Lord:

Matt 6:33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

Energy Security has no place for ‘Net Zero’

The North Sea isn’t just an energy resource, it underpins jobs, local economies, and national security. At a time when domestic production is falling and imports are rising, energy strategy becomes a matter of moral stewardship. After the fall of Jerusalem, the Prophet Jeremiah was bemoaning a lack of resource and energy security:

Lam 5:4 We have drunken our water for money; our wood is sold unto us.

It follows from all we have seen that the name of the Department for Energy Security and Net Zero is a virtue-signalling fantasy, a chimera, an oxymoron. We can have one or the other, either Energy Security or Net Zero. But we cannot have both, and as one is a godly priority bringing prosperity and the other is an idol leading to penury, it’s clear which must go.

In the light of Jeremiah’s complaint, it may be argued that a Department for Energy Security will be useful if it prioritises the building of nuclear reactors and domestic oil and gas, even coal, to reduce energy costs and rebuild industry and jobs.

But the Net Zero element? That idol must be torn down as the nation’s leaders return to trust the Lord.

Tommy Robinson: ‘Hate Chants’ and ‘Far Right’? Were there? Is he?

3
TommyMarchVideo
TommyMarchVideo

With a rally being organised by populist Tommy Robinson scheduled for Saturday 13th September, this could be a good time to remind ourselves of what happened at, and what the chattering classes said about, the previous one, in June 2024. Watch the video below, or read the transcript.

Video Script: I was in and around London last Saturday 1st June, but nowhere near a march and rally in Parliament Square organised by one Tommy Robinson. From the footage on Twitter it seemed good-natured but purposeful.

‘London not Londonistan’

The front banner, ‘London not Londonistan’, says it was opposing Islam, and clearly, in particular, the pro-Hamas and anti-Israel parades which have shamed our cities.

There was much waving of Union flags and St George’s Crosses displaying at the very least a patriotic passion for British identity.

Isn’t it odd how ordinary people instinctively know the truth of the Bible, in this case, a word from Proverbs:
Prov 22:28 Remove not the ancient landmark, which thy fathers have set.

And should our minds not be challenged when in the next chapter, the writer links that principle to a desire for justice for the poor?
Prov 23:10 Remove not the old landmark; and enter not into the fields of the fatherless:

’Hate Chant’ from ‘Far-Right’

Daily Telegraph

As I say, I wasn’t there, but according to the clickbait headline of the Daily Telegraph’s article on the event, by its Senior Reporter Henry Bodkin and its Environment Editor Emma Gatten:

‘Tommy Robinson supporters shout out ‘hate chant’ at far-Right London demo’ with a sub-text ‘Metropolitan Police on high alert having identified individuals in the crowd ‘associated with violent disorder’.’

Looking a little deeper, the ‘hate chant’, an expression which appeared in the headline but nowhere in the actual article, consisted merely of some of the marchers asking, in somewhat colourful language, who is ‘Allah’? (It’s here – but there’s bad language.)

‘Allah’ means ‘the god’ in Arabic. He is the Islamic, Muslim deity.

Who indeed is ‘Allah’?

Their robust language served a purpose. It said Allah has, at this time at least, no authority over this United Kingdom. They were saying ‘Allah’ is a nobody in this realm. And that’s a hate chant?

Going further, in the Koran, ‘Allah’ denies he ever had a son:
Koran 19:35: ‘It is not befitting to (the majesty of) Allah that He should beget a son.’

‘Allah’ also denies our Lord’s crucifixion, and his deity:
Koran 4:157: ‘That they said (in boast), “We killed Christ Jesus the son of Mary, the Messenger of Allah”;- but they killed him not, nor crucified him,’
Koran 5:75: ‘Christ the son of Mary was no more than a messenger;’

‘Allah’ is therefore on his own admission not the same person as the triune Almighty God who stands at the head of the United Kingdom’s Christian constitution.

Who and what is ‘Far-Right’?

Luciana Berger
Luciana Berger

And I have to say, if standing up for the Christian faith in these islands is now ‘far-right’, quite a few Daily Telegraph readers will fall into that category.

I wonder if ‘far-right’ has now become little more than a dismissive insult, a smear. It was funny watching ex-Labour MP, Luciana Berger, who now runs a PR company and is a member of the Jewish Leadership Council, also denouncing the marchers as ‘far right’ on Dewbs & Co on GB News. She was promptly skewered by Michelle Dewberry when she refused to provide any examples of suspect banners or chants she said she had and then defined ‘far-right’ as ‘anyone to the right of the Conservatives.’ Watch from 29:30. ‘Far-right’ from 33:28.

I wonder if the real problem for Luciana, and the Telegraph’s Henry and Emma is that the folk on the march were overwhelmingly working-class with quite a few football supporters among them. Not exactly Luciana, Henry and Emma’s sort of people, don’t you know.

Counter-demonstrators arrested

Youth Demand - Muslims and posh kids.
Youth Demand – Muslims and posh kids.

As to disorder, during the day, the police issued a statement saying:

“Officers have identified individuals within the crowd who have a history of being involved in violent disorder.
“A number have football banning orders and are associated with hooligan groups from London and across the UK.
“There is also an element of the crowd previously well known for involvement in anti-lockdown protests during the pandemic and associated disorder.
“While there have not been any offences so far, a number of people in the crowd are intoxicated. The event still has a number of hours left to go.”

It turned out the only people arrested were from a Muslim counter-demonstration called Youth Demand, who, I can only assume, were stone-cold sober. (P.S. Sorry: Any Muslims might have been, the middle-class kids possibly not.)

Anti-Lockdown Protesters

But the police also seemed to be saying that ‘involvement in anti-lockdown protests’ was a reprehensible activity and that they know who was involved in those.

Are we now in a surveillance state?

If so, and if you are with the psalmist, who said:
Psa 119:45 And I will walk at liberty: for I seek thy precepts.

You might want to stand up for your liberty now before you lose it.

It’s a spiritual battle

And that word from the psalms leads me to observe that the marchers are trying to solve the puzzle of our British identity crisis with only half the pieces.

Yes, it is right to oppose Islam. But you also need to embrace the Christian heritage of this United Kingdom, and if you are not yet a Christian yourself, to make Jesus Lord of your life.

I’ll be blunt: This is a spiritual battle and you cannot fight it in your own strength. You will win it only by being in Christ and being clothed, as we say, with the Gospel armour, wielding the sword of the Spirit which is the word of God.
(Eph 6:17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God).

Needed: Laws of God and Faith in Jesus

‘British values’ won’t hack it.

Only a return to the laws of God, faith in Jesus Christ and being filled with the Holy Spirit can and will defeat the twin antichristian ideologies of Secularism and Islam.

As was shown to the Apostle John in his Revelation:
Rev 14:12 Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.

Prayer

Pray with me: Lord Jesus, will you raise up God-fearing men with enough humility to seek your face, and Lord, send your grace to convict Luciana, Henry, Emma, OK, Michelle and the supporters of Tommy Robinson, and for that matter the activist himself and all who care about this land and its people of their sin and their need for the forgiveness and the saving, spiritual power of the Lord Jesus. Amen.

Bodily Exercise Profiteth: Script

There is a verse in one of the Apostle Paul’s letters which has been taken to mean that Christians should do no training, or sports, or exercise. I think we’ve misunderstood it, and just perhaps, the King James translation, which I use and respect, hasn’t helped. The verse is in Paul’s first letter to Timothy, chapter four and verse eight:

1Tim 4:8 For bodily exercise profiteth little: but godliness is profitable unto all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come.

Now look, the Apostle Paul knew all about the Greek Games events which persisted into the Roman era. He constantly uses training metaphors and talks about bringing his body into subjection. Remember, this is a man who will comfortably walk from Jerusalem to Damascus, a journey of 140 miles, probably accomplished over 5 days at 28 miles a day.

It’s all about priorities

This man is super-fit. So can he actually be telling Timothy not to be in good physical shape?
No, it’s all about priorities. We talk about godliness and the blessings it brings all the time here on the NanoSermon channel. Your relationship with God is of eternal significance. In this life it governs everything you do and everything you are. It holds the promise, says Paul, of the life that now is, and of that which is to come. It is much more important than your relationship with your personal trainer.

But equally, we do have time here on earth. The Greek word ‘oligos’, translated here as ‘little’, means ‘small’ or ‘puny’. It gives us the word ‘oligarchy’, meaning ‘rule by a tiny number’. So it means for a little while, and of little importance compared to the things of God. But it does not mean ‘not at all’. If it did, you could not only sit around, but you could smoke or do drugs and generally abuse your body. I don’t know any Christian teacher advocating that approach.
Rather we are urged in Isaiah chapter forty:

Isaiah 40:31 But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint
.
I think walking and not being faint, running and not being weary are set up here as good things, don’t you agree?

Doing the Lord’s work

In the second book of Samuel chapter twenty-two (it’s also in Psalm eighteen) David says:

2Sam 22:30 (Psalm 18:20) For by thee I have run through a troop: by my God have I leaped over a wall.

He can’t do that, even by his God, if he is not in good physical shape. Remember Paul challenging the Corinthians:

1Cor 6:19 What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?

If that is so, and if you have a mission and a purpose from God, which you do, you need to look after your body. That involves watching what you are eating and taking exercise.

Watching what we eat

The author taking part in ParkRun
Proof of the author taking part in ParkRun!

As for what you eat, it’s both quantity and quality. Firstly, we are all genetically different, so get to know your own limits. Bring your body into subjection, don’t eat more calories than you can burn up in a day. Secondly, there is healthy eating advice all over the place. Stuff about 5-a-day, superfoods, brown rice not white, avoiding sweeteners and colourants, eating natural not processed products. Look it up.

For exercise, you can go to the gym or just buy a pair of trainers and hit the streets. Me, I do both. I’m also a regular at the local Park Run and I try to run in total around twenty miles a week. I know when I do, I feel more alert and I don’t get sick. I’m better able to do God’s work.

And that’s what it’s all about. So get out there, get fit, start looking after yourself. Bodily exercise has an important place, for the little time we have.

Illegal Migrants: blessing, threat, or judgment?

0

Nigel Farage has proposed the deportation of all who arrived unlawfully into the UK.
Nigel Farage has proposed the deportation of all those who arrived unlawfully to the UK.

The political debate over illegal migration has sharpened. Nigel Farage has proposed the deportation of all who arrived unlawfully, together with scrapping the human rights laws and treaties that block such action. The Conservatives also appear to be moving in that direction.

The Government, meanwhile, seems determined to carry on with minor adjustments. As for Sir Keir Starmer, he appears to be testing how far he can push the people before they rebel.

Yet as politicians weigh votes and treaties, a deeper question arises: What does God require of rulers when their nation’s safety is at stake? Scripture says Government is responsible to God:

Romans 13:1 Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God.

The Duty of Rulers

The Apostle continues:
Romans 13:4 For he is the minister of God to thee for good… a revenger to execute wrath upon him that doeth evil.

That means King Charles and his ministers are Ministers of God. Maintaining law and order is why we pay them taxes, as Paul reminds us:

Romans 13:6 For this cause pay ye tribute also: for they are God’s ministers, attending continually upon this very thing.

Yet many ordinary people doubt whether those in office are truly “attending continually” to the protection of women and girls in particular. The wave of protests, outside hotels housing migrants, free of charge, has been fuelled by reports of tyem committing crime and abuse. Claims, Counterclaims, and the Facts

The Socialist Workers Party and its allies—Stand Up To Racism, Unite Against Fascism, Hope Not Hate and Care4Calais, insist that “most people who come to Britain in a small boat are fleeing for their lives.”

They cite Afghanistan, Syria, Iran, Eritrea and Sudan beset by war. But the reality is different. There is no current war in Afghanistan, Iran or Eritrea. And even if some migrants were fleeing real danger, they were already safe in France. What they sought here was not safety but greater financial reward.

Scripture states the principle of unity under the law, and that law derives from a nation’s religious view, that is, from whatever it holds sacred. In Britain, as we were reminded on 6th May 2023, at His Majesty’s coronation, that is still the Christian faith, despite how far the elite have legislated against it:

Exodus 12:49 One law shall be to him that is homeborn, and unto the stranger that sojourneth among you.

James 4:12 There is one lawgiver, who is able to save and to destroy:

For a nation to remain united, it must share one law under one God. It cannot stay cohesive if the ‘strangers that sojourneth’ want to impose a different god, a different law and different ‘customs’, for want of a better expression.

In other words, it cannot work in what Sir Keir Starmer described, in an unguarded moment, as ‘An island of strangers’.

A Growing Catalogue of Crime

Sir Keir Starmer appears to be testing how far he can push the people before they rebel.
Sir Keir Starmer appears to be testing how far he can push the people before they rebel.

The public is not blind. The protests began after a series of shocking crimes committed by those housed in asylum hotels.

Ethiopian Hadush Kebatu, staying at the Bell Hotel in Epping, was charged with sexual assault. He has now been convicted. Another Ethiopian, Tadi Alemeyeha, faces similar charges in Manchester.

Two Afghan men are being prosecuted for raping a 12-year-old girl in Nuneaton.

Tory spokesman Chris Philp reminded the House of Commons only last month that Louise, Baroness Casey said in her report on rape gangs that Afghans commit up to 20 times more sex offences than the UK average.

Of illegal immigrants housed in the asylum hotels, Mr Philp said: ‘The Sun found 339 charges in the last six months based on only half the hotels currently operated. The Mail on Sunday found 708 charges based on only a third of those hotels. Those crimes included multiple cases of rape, sexual assault, violence, theft and arson. An illegal immigrant in Oxford has been convicted of raping a 20-year-old woman in a churchyard.’

Mr Philp concluded: ‘A Sudanese man was convicted of strangling and attempting to rape a woman in a nightclub toilet in Wakefield.’

Alkali attacker was convicted criminal

He concentrated on asylum hotels, but Mr Philp could have mentioned migrant Abdul Shokor Ezedi, who perpetrated a horrific alkali attack on a young mother and her three-year-old daughter in south London last year. He had actually been convicted of a sex offence in 2018 but after three attempts was granted asylum.

Another Sudanese migrant was convicted of attempted rape in Wakefield. The figures reported by national newspapers show hundreds of charges in just a few months.

It is small wonder that ordinary people are furious. Yet the Government proposes merely to shift migrants from hotels to houses of multiple occupation, and to arrange a “one-in-one-out” deal with France. The Apostle Peter reinforced Paul’s statement of the duties of rulers to punish evildoers:

1 Peter 2:13-14 Submit yourselves to every ordinance of man for the Lord’s sake: whether it be to the king, as supreme. Or unto governors, as unto them that are sent by him for the punishment of evildoers, and for the praise of them that do well.

A Nation at the Crossroads

We are faced with two starkly different visions. Sir Keir Starmer sets his hopes on human rights conventions, multiculturalism and globalism.

Nigel Farage proposes deportation and the tearing up of seventy-year-old treaties. Yet even he must overcome the resistance of the civil service, the courts, and the entrenched establishment.

In truth, only God can protect this nation. The psalmist encourages us: Psalm 46:1,7 God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. The LORD of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our refuge.

If our leaders trust him, the Lord will guard the land: Zech 9:8; And I will encamp about mine house because of the army, because of him that passeth by, and because of him that returneth: and no oppressor shall pass through them any more: for now have I seen with mine eyes.

Psalm 127:1 Except the Lord build the house, they labour in vain that build it: except the Lord keep the city, the watchman waketh but in vain.

The Islamic influx may in fact be seen as God’s judgment on a nation that has turned away from him. Only repentance and the raising up of God-fearing men will restore our people.

Our Call to Prayer

Britain needs leaders of courage and faith, men willing to confess Christ, proclaim our Christian constitution, and govern with honesty and humility. Government “of the elite, by the elite, for the elite” as currently practised in our land must give way to government under God, for the benefit of the people.

So let us pray that the Lord will have mercy on us, raise up men of God to lead, and turn the tide. Let us resist violence and keep protest at the ballot box.

And let us remember that our hope is not in treaties, nor in politicians, but in Christ the King.

The Sin of Sodom: Script

Gen 13:13 But the men of Sodom were wicked and sinners before the LORD exceedingly.

That’s from Genesis chapter thirteen and verse eleven. Six chapters later, and God has sent two angels to check the place out. Abraham’s cousin Lot took them under his roof. Later that night, all the men of Sodom surrounded the house:

Gen 19:5 And they called unto Lot, and said unto him, Where are the men which came in to thee this night? bring them out unto us, that we may know them.
Gen 19:6 And Lot went out at the door unto them, and shut the door after him, 7 And said, I pray you, brethren, do not so wickedly.
Gen 19:8 Behold now, I have two daughters which have not known man; let me, I pray you, bring them out unto you, and do ye to them as is good in your eyes: only unto these men do nothing; for therefore came they under the shadow of my roof.

So we move onto verse thirteen, and the angels have made up their mind.

Gen 19:13 For we will destroy this place, because the cry of them is waxen great before the face of the LORD; and the LORD hath sent us to destroy it.
Gen 19:24 Then the LORD rained upon Sodom and upon Gomorrah brimstone and fire from the LORD out of heaven; 25 And he overthrew those cities, and all the plain, and all the inhabitants of the cities, and that which grew upon the ground.

Just what was the sin of Sodom?

So, what was the sin of Sodom? The name of the city has given us the word ‘sodomy’, but is that being unfair to the, er, Sodomites? Were they instead breaching some ancient rule of hospitality? That’s a bit vague. Or their attempted violation of Lot’s house? So Sodom gets destroyed for lack of hospitality or house-breaking? Hmmm. Not sure I buy that.

There is definitely something sexual going on. The word ‘know’ and ‘known’ used in the text is the Hebrew word ‘yâdâ’ which can mean just ‘know’ or be ‘acquainted with’ but here has its obvious sexual meaning.

So was it not sodomy as such but gang-rape that was their sin? No, because Lot offered them his daughters. Heterosexual gang-rape actually seemed to that righteous man a lesser sin than the one proposed. That tells us a lot about Bible culture, and a fair bit about ours.

What else does scripture say?

Scripture informs scripture, so let’s see what the Prophet Ezekiel told sinful Judah about the sin of Sodom:

Eze 16:49 Behold, this was the iniquity of thy sister Sodom, pride, fulness of bread, and abundance of idleness was in her and in her daughters, neither did she strengthen the hand of the poor and needy. 50 And they were haughty, and committed abomination before me: therefore I took them away as I saw good.

Abomination? Pride? Would that be ‘gay pride’? Injustice? Would that involve passing pro-homosexual laws? In the New Testament, Jude wrote:

Jude 1:7 Even as Sodom and Gomorrha, and the cities about them in like manner, giving themselves over to fornication, and going after strange flesh, are set forth for an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire.

‘Fornication’ and ‘going after strange flesh’. Friends, that’s sodomy in particular and homosexual acts in general. ‘Unnatural lust’ as the Revised Standard Version translates it.

We must tell our leaders to repent

Scripture is clear. Sodom and Gomorrha were destroyed for accepting and promoting homosexual activity with injustice, pride, gluttony, and wholesale rebellion against the laws of God tagging along in its wake. In which case, there are a good many cities in the wealthy, rebellious west which should be looking over their shoulders.

Make no mistake, the judgment is coming if not already here. We should be telling our leaders to repent and turn back to God before it’s too late.

Sorry, what I really mean is, ‘You should be telling our leaders to repent and turn back to God.’ Join Christian Voice and I’ll show you how.

Who is helping parents evade the puberty blocker ban?

The Telegraph has seen messages by Susie Green, who runs a private trans clinic, telling parents how to obtain puberty blockers

A private clinic is exploiting an EU loophole to help British parents obtain banned puberty blockers for their children.

According to The Telegraph, children are having online consultations with EU doctors and then flying abroad with their parents to get injections of the maximum six-month dose of the drugs.

These puberty blockers were banned indefinitely across the UK by Health Secretary Wes Streeting.

Meanwhile, the operation is driven by Anne Health, the clinic of Susie Green, former head of Mermaids.

The clinic prescribes puberty blockers and cross-sex hormones. Parents say even under-16s have received testosterone.

Ms. Green’s new work recalls her past role in Mermaids, where she defended experimental treatments for children.

Doctors in Dublin and Madrid are understood to be working with Anne Health. They issue prescriptions which are filled by ‘known pharmacies.’

Parents are guided on how to travel and collect the drugs. By doing so, they sidestep the UK ban. This undermines the Cass Review, which found little evidence to support the use of puberty blockers

The Tavistock clinic had already faced criticism for rushing children into medicalisation. Many former patients now speak of regret and harm.

Yet Anne Health is offering the same discredited path. This is not a new story but a return to failed practices under a new name.

Protecting children amid a spiritual battle

This latest scheme shows the struggle is not over. Pro ‘trans activists’ will go to great lengths to push dangerous drugs onto children.

Britain has tried to close the door, but campaigners are opening windows abroad. This is more than politics. It is a spiritual battle for truth and for the souls of our young.

As Christ warned, those who harm children face a fearful judgement. Our duty is clear: guard the innocent and expose these works of darkness.

Who is defying the Supreme Court’s biological realities ?

Jason Williams now claims to be Dr. Victoria McCloud
Jason Williams now ‘Dr. Victoria McCloud’

The UK’s first transgender judge, Jason Williams, who now according to the Telegraph goes by the name ‘Dr. Victoria McCloud’ has launched a legal challenge against the United Kingdom itself in the European Court of Human Rights.

Supported by activist lawyers, the retired judge is contesting the April ruling of the Supreme Court which affirmed that the word “woman” in the Equality Act 2010 refers only to biological women, not to men who identify as female.

This landmark judgement brought long-needed clarity, yet we are now faced with the question: Why should anyone defy the authority of the Supreme Court of the United Kingdom?

Romans 13:1 Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God

To challenge the court’s rightful decision is to question an authority established under God’s providence.

Stop Transgenderism Now!

Biological realities

The retired judge claims his right to a fair trial was breached because the Supreme Court did not hear directly from him or other transgender individuals.

But courts cannot possibly hear from every interested party in every case, or justice would never be delivered. What he is really demanding is not fairness, but special treatment.

The Supreme Court was right to listen instead to established groups representing ordinary citizens, such as For Women Scotland, Sex Matters, and the LGB Alliance, who presented evidence based on reality, not ideology.

Isaiah 5:20 Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness.

The wider struggle for truth

This case comes as For Women Scotland continues to battle the Scottish Government for failing to implement the Supreme Court’s ruling in schools and prisons.

The group and many individuals have rightly pointed out that young girls must not be compelled to share toilets or changing rooms with biological males, nor should vulnerable women in prison be put at risk by the presence of men identifying as female. Such protections are not cruelty but common sense.

Genesis 5:2 Male and female created he them; and blessed them.
This is not an optional belief for Christians, but a foundational truth of God’s creation. To discard it is to undermine the very building blocks of society.

Nandy’s fashion statement

Lisa Nandy wears trans rights shirt after puberty blocker ban support
Lisa Nandy wears trans rights shirt after puberty blocker ban support

Culture Secretary Lisa Nandy drew controversy at a sodomy event,’Wigan Pride’ after wearing a black t-shirt with the slogan ‘Protect the Dolls.’

The gesture was celebrated in activist circles, but many questioned why a senior minister should be promoting such a loaded phrase.

Ms. Nandy has often positioned herself as an ally to ‘trans’ activism, regardless of the implications for women’s safety and biological truth.

‘Protect the dolls’

The slogan is not as harmless as it looks. ‘Dolls,’ according to its designer and promoters, refers to men who claim to be women.

It has been paraded by celebrities such as Pedro Pascal and Madonna, and hailed by glossy magazines as an affectionate term within queer communities. Yet the very word is patronising, reducing women to playthings, while simultaneously demanding that men dressed as women be treated as though they truly were female.

pedro pascal wearing protect the dolls.shirt
Pedro Pascal wearing protect the dolls.shirt

Christian Voice warns that this ideology opens the door to dangerous consequences, particularly when male-bodied individuals are given access to women’s spaces, sports, and protections.

Government’s blindness on biology

Lisa Nandy’s choice of clothing is just the latest sign of government’s refusal to confront reality.

She has argued that male criminals who declare themselves female should be housed in women’s prisons, and has supported the idea that men compete in women’s sport.

Last year, Jess Phillips, supposedly tasked with safeguarding women, declared she would happily call transwomen “women.”

Meanwhile, Andrew Western fretted about the “fear and distress” men might feel if told to stay out of women’s toilets. This is not progress but delusion, and it is women and girls who will pay the price.

A call to defend what God has ordained

At stake here is not merely a legal technicality but the future of truth in public life. If the Supreme Court of the United Kingdom—our highest legal authority—is undermined by appeals to foreign courts, what message does this send? Should unelected judges in Strasbourg overturn the authority of the land and the will of the people?

James 4:17 Therefore to him that knoweth to do good, and doeth it not, to him it is sin.

We are called to speak truth, defend righteousness, and uphold the institutions that God in His wisdom has allowed to stand.

The ruling of the Supreme Court should be honoured, not challenged, for in so doing Britain affirms reality, defends women, and resists the tide of dangerous ideology.

Why is the Prime Minister so hypocritical?

Keir Starmer pledges to create a role to support LGBT rights if he is PM - 20/10/2022

Lucy Connolly: Woman jailed over social media post after Southport murders to be released.

Sir Keir Starmer has been accused of hypocrisy over the prosecution of Lucy Connolly. She is set to leave prison this week after serving part of her 31-month sentence for inciting racial hatred, according to The Telegraph.

Mrs Connolly, a mother-of-one, posted an inflammatory message on X following the Southport tragedy, but deleted it just hours later, expressing regret.

Despite her remorse, the Prime Minister stood firm in support of her conviction, claiming that while he valued free speech, he opposed ‘incitement to violence.’

The question must be asked: Why is Sir Keir holding others to a standard he once rejected for himself?

John 7:24 Judge not according to the appearance, but judge righteous judgement.

The 2013 guidance forgotten?

In 2013, Sir Keir as Director of Public Prosecutions introduced prosecutorial guidance that clearly advised against unnecessary prosecutions where an offensive post was swiftly deleted.

He publicly argued that ‘offensive remarks taken down quickly’ did not always need criminal action. Yet Lucy Connolly’s case appears to fall exactly within those parameters.

How then can the Prime Minister reconcile his past position with his present support for Mrs Connolly’s long sentence? Has political expediency replaced principle?

Scripture warns us:

James 1:8 A double minded man is unstable in all his ways.

Return to the UK’s Christian Constitution →

Past events show the pattern

This is not the first time Britain has seen political leaders preach one thing while practising another.

When social unrest followed the London riots of 2011, politicians were quick to condemn “knee-jerk prosecutions” that filled the prisons, only to later support similar heavy-handed measures when it suited the political mood. Sir Starmer’s stance today looks like another instance of convenient forgetfulness.

The inconsistency is glaring: swift deletion and remorse were once deemed mitigating, but now they are dismissed. As in the days of the Pharisees, leaders say but do not.

Matthew 23:4 For they bind heavy burdens and grievous to be borne, and lay them on men’s shoulders; but they themselves will not move them with one of their fingers.

Free speech or convenient silence?

The Prime Minister insists he supports free speech, but his actions suggest otherwise. The Connolly case has become a lightning rod for concerns about whether Britain is still a country where opinions—however offensive—can be voiced without fear of crushing retribution.

If leaders can change the rules as it suits them, how can ordinary people know where they stand?

Psalm 11:3 If the foundations be destroyed, what can the righteous do?

Can a leader who once called for leniency, but now upholds severity, be trusted to apply justice fairly? Britain needs leaders who are principled, not opportunistic—leaders who will govern by righteousness, not convenience.

Proverbs 29:2 When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice: but when the wicked beareth rule, the people mourn.

The Blessings of Unity: Script

I was in a prayer meeting in the Houses of Parliament a good while ago. Half the people were praying for one thing and half would pray for an opposing thing, until one dear brother admitted he couldn’t actually say ‘Amen’ to the prayers of some of the others.

What does the Bible say about that? Look at Psalm one hundred and thirty-three:

Psalm 133:1 Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity! 2 It is like the precious ointment upon the head, that ran down upon the beard, even Aaron’s beard: that went down to the skirts of his garments; 3 As the dew of Hermon, and as the dew that descended upon the mountains of Zion: for there the LORD commanded the blessing, even life for evermore.

Unity commands a blessing. And we missed it that day. But you know, in daily life, I think scripture is setting out a spiritual principle here, one which is applicable whether the brethren in question are believers or not. If they are Christians, they have the spiritual power of the blood of Christ and his resuurection to draw on, and the Almighty can and will spring surprises on their enemies.

Praying in unity answered

Do you remember the night the Racial and Religious Hatred Bill was debated in the House of Commons after so many Christians had prayed in unity right outside the Houses of Parliament? The Labour Chief Whip told Tony Blair he could go home to Downing Street. Off he went. His Government then lost the crucial vote by one. That’s heaven-sent confusion. I was like, ‘How do you do that, Lord?’

But then, we read in second chronicles chapter twenty how the Lord did something similar, as a result of his people praying in unity with fasting and seeking him for something to do. Check out my NanoSermon: ‘The Secret to Answered Prayer’

But mention of politics emphasises the truth of the scripture. How often do you see political parties airing their dirty linen in public, MPs criticisng their colleagues on TV and on the internet? All the time. The curse of disunity attaches itself to them in the public mind. It is very difficult to shake off. I have known all parties fall into the trap, especially when things are not going so well for them. Why can they not sort out things in private? They might not express the spiritual principle in these many words, but they must know that visible unity commands a blessing in the public mind. It is irritating to see such spiritual stupidity.

Prayer answered in advance

The best prayer group I was ever in was with parents who met to pray for their children’s school. There were Anglicans, there were Baptists, Pentecostals and Brethren. But we all came together in unity to pray for the school. We would pray for something only to find out the next day it had already happened. That’s when you know you’re really praying with the mind of God.

In his first letter to the church in Corinth, the Apostle Paul wote:

1Cor 1:10 Now I beseech you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you; but that ye be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment.

What a blessing it would be if atheists and those of other faiths could see Christians united in love for the Lord and each other in all our public discourse. The Lord Jesus said:

John 13:34 A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another. 35 By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.

I’ve been in many Parliamentary prayer meetings since that time all those years ago when we have prayed in unity and seen positive results. But I often think, if families, churches, or prayer groups, let alone the church as a whole, would realise the power that comes from unity, heavenly doors would unlock and such a blessing would pour out.

Council cuts funding for ‘pride’ event

The 'Pride' Parade snakes its way through Durham
The ‘Pride’ Parade snakes its way through Durham

Reform leaders on yet another local authority have confirmed they will withdraw financial support for the county’s ‘Pride’ event.

Durham County Council will stop funding from 2026 onwards. According to the Northern Echo, deputy leader Darren Grimes criticised the annual celebration, announcing that the money would instead be directed to what he referred to as essential services.

What gives Durham’s decision even more force is that Cllr Grimes is himself homosexual, according to his Facebook page.

'Trans right are human rights' yell the deluded, and wicked, activists on the Durham 'Pride'
‘Trans right are human rights’ yell the deluded, and wicked, activists on the Durham ‘Pride’

This year’s event, held on 24th – 25th May 2025 in Durham City, drew thousands to promote the whole spectrum of LGBT depravity. The video is here if you can stand it. The council had ‘invested’ up to £10,000 as part of efforts to ‘boost cultural life’ in the region following its failed City of Culture bid. The Bible says of such leaders:

Rom 1:32 Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them.

The new administration has made it clear that council taxpayers’ money will now be reserved for what it deems to be core services. Transgenderism is the ‘T’ in ‘LGBT’, and deluded, wicked, activists were (wrongly) claiming ‘Trans rights are human rights’.  You can sign our petition to oppose that evil here:

Stop Transgenderism Now!

A move to applaud

Councillor Darren Grimes
Councillor Darren Grimes

This decision deserves recognition as a stand for fiscal responsibility and a return to essentials.

In an era when public funds are stretched, or for that matter at any time, prioritising roads and waste collection is both wise and just. Cllr Grimes said: “Our residents deserve bins emptied, roads fixed, and services funded — not more council-sponsored politics in fancy dress.”

It may indeed be argued that the Bible says the prime duty of government is to maintain security, law and order:

Romans 13:4 For he (the ruler) is the minister of God to thee for good. But if thou do that which is evil, be afraid; for he beareth not the sword in vain: for he is the minister of God, a revenger to execute wrath upon him that doeth evil. 5 Wherefore ye must needs be subject, not only for wrath, but also for conscience sake. 6 For this cause pay ye tribute also: for they are God’s ministers, attending continually upon this very thing.

Other councils defunding ‘Pride’

Across the country, several councils including North East Lincolnshire, Dudley, and Wokingham have reduced or removed funding for ‘Pride’ events in recent years, citing budget pressures and the need to focus on statutory services.

However, as Christian Voice reported, it took a grooming and pederasty scandal among local ‘Pride’ organisers before Surrey County Council withdrew its funding of a ‘Pride’ event held in Guildford earlier this year. Watch our video:

Some local authorities have replaced direct grants with logistical or safety support, leaving organisers to raise their own funds.

As Proverbs 22:3 says A prudent man foreseeth the evil, and hideth himself: but the simple pass on, and are punished.

Prudence in governance ensures that funds are not swallowed by divisive or non-essential causes. In addition, when the state itself promotes what God has condemned, we are living in the Days of Lot.

A call for others to follow

Durham Council to stop funding pride events

It is time for more local authorities to follow Durham’s example. Public money should be directed towards projects that serve the whole community, not towards contested political or ideological events.

The duty of elected representatives is to steward resources wisely, ensuring that essential services are properly funded. Indeed, the witness of scripture appears to suggest that the definition of ‘essential services’ is very limited indeed. This is a subject to which we must return.

Proverbs 21:5 The thoughts of the diligent tend only to plenteousness; but of every one that is hasty only to want.

Above all, our leaders need to repent of all the wickedness they have enacted, and even promoted, and return to the King of kings. Sign our petition if you agree:

Why is the government only now admitting vaccine risks?

Vaccine Jab
Vaccine Jab

The UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA), alongside the Royal College of General Practitioners and the Royal College of Emergency Medicine, has quietly issued clinical guidance for detecting and managing myocarditis and pericarditis linked to Covid-19 vaccination.

This guidance, endorsed by the British Congenital Cardiac Association (BCCA), represents a formal acknowledgement of concerns that were raised early on by frontline clinicians and researchers.

International regulators also sounded the alarm, including Israel’s Ministry of Health, which reported a probable link between mRNA vaccines and myocarditis cases in young men as early as June 2021.

In July 2021, the European Medicines Agency’s (EMA) safety committee concluded that myocarditis and pericarditis can occur in very rare cases following Comirnaty and Spikevax vaccination.

Luke 8:17 For nothing is secret, that shall not be made manifest; neither any thing hid, that shall not be known and come abroad.

Selective transparency

UK Health Security Agency – GOV.UK

In late 2021 and 2022, Freedom of Information data revealed hundreds of reported myocarditis cases following COVID-19 vaccination.

Officials acknowledged the reports but maintained that the benefits outweighed the risks and downplayed any potential long-term effects.

Yet, official NHS and UKHSA guidance now openly instructs clinicians how to diagnose and treat the very same conditions. Was the earlier silence political, medical, or both?

Ask us to come and speak at your church →

The cost of delayed acknowledgement

For those who have suffered, this new guidance is a grim vindication.

More than 17,500 Britons have applied for compensation under the Vaccine Damage Payment Scheme, many citing heart inflammation.

Families who have lost loved ones, and individuals living with lifelong injury, spent years battling to be believed. Transparency delayed is justice denied.

The UK’s vaccine damage payment scheme

The UK’s Vaccine Damage Payment Scheme (VDPS) is presented as a safety net. In reality, it often functions like a high wall.

A one-off, tax-free lump sum (currently £120,000) is available where a vaccine is judged to have caused severe disablement. But the bar is set at 60% disablement, a threshold so high that many with serious, life-altering injuries are shut out. Families bereaved after a suspected vaccine injury may apply, yet face the same steep evidential test.

Inadequate redress: £120,000 is not indexed to modern costs of care, earnings loss, or lifelong support. For many, it does not touch the real economic and emotional toll.

Those who do not meet 60% are told to seek civil litigation, an arena of legal expense and expert battles beyond most families. If the State mandates, markets, and messages a medical intervention, it should also deliver timely, fair, and proportionate redress when harm occurs. Anything less erodes public trust.

Public health or public relations?

The release of this guidance could be a long-overdue act of honesty, but the timing raises suspicion. Past parliamentary submissions, including from MPs like Sir David Davis, called for more transparency on vaccine harms and were ignored.

Could this be less about protecting the public, and more about protecting the government from future legal or reputational fallout?

Meanwhile, from lockdown impact studies to excess death statistics, admissions have often come years late, long after they could have influenced policy. If myocarditis is only now officially acknowledged, what other truths about the Covid-19 response remain hidden?

A call for full disclosure

The Bible calls for truth in all things, not just when it is politically safe to admit it. The government must release the full data on vaccine side effects, publish all past submissions and safety signals, and give the public the honesty it deserves. Anything less will deepen the distrust already sown.

Proverbs 23:23 Buy the truth, and sell it not; also wisdom, and instruction, and understanding.

Is Keir Starmer’s Art of the Deal more sinister than we thought?

In an article for Spiked Online, Columnist Simon Evans parodied Donald Trump’s ‘Art of the Deal’ as ‘Keir Starmer’s Art of the Deal’.

Rt Hon Sir Keir Starmer MP, UK Prime Minister
Rt Hon Sir Keir Starmer MP, UK Prime Minister

The UK PM, said Mr Evans, ‘is shaping up to be the worst negotiator in political history’.

I’m going to take a sideways look at Keir Starmer’s deal-making, because I think Mr Evans might be starting from the quite reasonable presumption that a British Prime Minister naturally has the best interests of the United Kingdom at heart, and because of sheer inability, the current occupier of that august office has simply botched it.

I’m not so sure of all that. The truth of the matter could be far, far more serious.

The Chagos Island Deal

Policy Exchange were among many to raise the security implications of Sir Keir's 'Chagos Island Deal, but the Prime Minister ignored them.
Policy Exchange were among many to raise the security implications of Sir Keir’s ‘Chagos Island Deal, but the Prime Minister ignored them.

Let me explain. As evidence, Simon Evans brought in Sir Keir’s Chagos Islands deal.

The Prime Minister signed this deal in May 2025. It is likely to cost the UK Treasury 10 times the initially quoted £3.4 billion over the next century. If Britain in any recognisable form is still here.

We are leasing back our own Diego Garcia military base for 99 years. And Sir Keir has even handed the homeland of the actual Chagossians to another country. ‘It is hard to find anything but abject defeat in this deal,’ says Mr Evans.

Closer to home, he cites Mr Starmer’s ‘one-in-one-out’ migrant-exchange deal with France.
‘Nearly 1,000 migrants have arrived via small boat since only the beginning of this week’, complains Mr Evans.

Now add in Sir Keir’s deal with the EU, his deal with India, both of which, says Mr Evans, did harm to the UK, and what more evidence do you need?

Son of Toolmaker ‘is bad Dealmaker’

Simon Evans concludes that the son of a presumably good toolmaker is a poor dealmaker. But maybe, just maybe, Mr Evans is missing the point.

What if advancing the United Kingdom is not the metric by which to judge the Starmer’s deal-making?

He would not be the first Prime Minister with an opposite objective from that which you and Mr Evans believed he naturally would have.

David Cameron, for instance, thought more of promoting gay rights in Africa than trade with Africa. While British envoys were solemnly attaching LGBT strings to proposed trade deals, the Russians were doing deals across the continent without any such baggage.

It’s all about what you want to achieve. For Mr Cameron, it was gay rights, not British interests. For his successor Theresa May, it was climate activism and Net Zero which came before the prosperity of the United Kingdom.

Boris Johnson continued that idea and put appeasing Big Pharma and his hapless health advisors before the liberties and real health of the British people during the Covid.

Sacred Cows

David Cameron awarded as gay 'Ally of the Year' in 2016
David Cameron was gay ‘Ally of the Year’ in 2016

So what if Sir Keir has the same mentality, but this time, as they say, on steroids?

What if he is always consciously putting his sacred cows of multiculturalism, globalism, open borders, NetZero, de-industrialisation, British guilt, accommodation, appeasement, ‘moral leadership’, also known as virtue signalling, a long way before any actual British interests which might annoyingly occur to him?

If we adopt that assumption as our starting point, then, in every deal, Sir Keir has manifestly achieved his aims.

But it goes without saying that, outside the elite, the blob, the quangocracy, British people rather want their leaders to prosper them and the United Kingdom and be, as scripture says:

Exod 18:21 … able men, such as fear God, men of truth, hating covetousness;

The Prime Minister should be, as the Apostle Paul says in Romans 13:

Romans 13:4 … the minister of God to thee for good.

Covid: How did mRNA ‘vaccines’ save ‘far fewer lives’ than claimed?

Covid-19 Jab

Vials of the COVID-19 vaccine are seen at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, Bethesda, Md., Dec. 14, 2020.

It has been revealed that the number of lives saved by Covid mRNA ‘vaccines’ was far fewer than had first been declared.

The World Health Organisation’s claim of 14.4 million lives saved in the first year of vaccination has now been challenged.

Stanford University and Italian researchers have concluded that the true figure was “substantially more conservative”, closer to 2.5 million globally across the entire pandemic period.

Nine in ten of these saved lives were among the over-60s, with just 299 people under 20 saved worldwide.

Proverbs 4: Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding.

Aggressive mandates questioned

The wisdom of “vaccinating everyone at all cost” has been called into question.

Professor John Ioannidis of Stanford described early modelling as based on “incompatible” parameters.

It was suggested that targeting those at greatest risk would have been sensible, while leaving alone those with questionable benefit.

Mandates, it was said, had been pursued with a zeal that ignored risk-benefit realities.

Proverbs 19:2 Also, that the soul be without knowledge, it is not good; and he that hasteth with his feet sinneth.

Harms and warnings acknowledged

Concerns have grown that for some, especially the young, Covid vaccines carried risks that outweighed any potential benefit.

Over 17,500 Britons have applied for Government vaccine damage payments, believing they or their loved ones suffered harm.

Warnings about myocarditis and pericarditis have now been added to mRNA vaccine prescribing information.

Researchers noted that earlier studies may have been overly optimistic about vaccine effectiveness and failed to account for waning immunity.

Benefit ‘mostly limited’ to the elderly

Data from the study showed the over-70s accounted for nearly 70% of lives saved, with a further 20% among those aged 60–70.

Under-20s represented just 0.01% of lives saved, and the 20–30 age group only 0.07%.

It was calculated that 5,400 vaccinations were required to save one life overall – but for the under-30s, this rose to 100,000 doses.

Such findings give weight to calls for age-targeted vaccination policies in future health crises.

Proverbs 16:31 The hoary head is a crown of glory, if it be found in the way of righteousness

Calls for caution

Sir David Davis, MP, described the findings as a cautionary tale.
He said the most susceptible groups had been quickly identified, yet the vaccination campaign targeted all, placing many at “hazard’s way” unnecessarily.
He criticised the silencing of those who raised legitimate safety concerns – concerns now validated by the data.

Meanwhile, Robert Francis Kennedy Jr., a long-standing critic of mRNA vaccines, maintained they were not vaccines under any definition, but gene therapies that could not even secure approval for cancer treatments before the pandemic.

Through tireless campaigning, RFK Jr. has succeeded in halting $500 million of US funding for mRNA development and overturning contracts – particularly with Moderna.

His stance has gained global attention, further fuelling debate over the future of such technologies.

In the meantime, Professor Angus Dalgleish, co-author of The Origin of the Virus, has backed Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s move to scrap funding for mRNA research. Writing on X, He noted: ‘RFK Jr’s decision to defund the mRNA research programme has been condemned by all the usual suspects, from the BBC to the Guardian. But he was right to do it.’

Ephesians 5:11 And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them.

Proverbs 18:13 He that answereth a matter before he heareth it, it is folly and shame unto him

Lessons in truth and stewardship

The revised figures present a sobering reminder that truth must never be sacrificed to policy zeal.
In future, public health decisions must be anchored in honest data, targeted interventions, and the safeguarding of individual conscience.

The aggressive pursuit of universal vaccination, regardless of risk profile, will be remembered as a misstep, one that must never be repeated.

Proverbs 23:23 Buy the truth, and sell it not; also wisdom, and instruction, and understanding.

Why has Kemi Badenoch lost her faith?

At a time when this United Kingdom is crying out for a leader prepared to confess Christ and lead the nation in repentance back to the King of kings, one contender for the office of Prime Minister has announced she has lost her faith, in somewhat strange circumstances.

Kemi Badenoch has revealed that the case of Josef Fritzl made her reject God. The Daily Telegraph has the story.

The Tory leader says the behaviour of the Austrian, who kept his daughter captive for 24 years, “killed” her belief in God. Mrs Badenoch said that after reading the story of Fritzl’s daughter Elisabeth and how she kept praying to be saved, ‘it was like someone blew out a candle’ on her faith.

Mistake not to ’Do God’

Kemi Badenoch says that that she still has ‘cultural Christianity’ but is now not a believer. The Conservative Party leader grew up in a Christian household, having had a grandfather who was a clergyman. She told the BBC: ‘I believed that there was a God, and I would have defined myself as a Christian apologist, always arguing with people about why there was a God.

‘And in 2008, this story about Josef Fritzl and his daughter, who was locked in a cellar for 24 years … That killed it.’

Tony Blair (R) & Alastair Campbell
Tony Blair (R) & Alastair Campbell

Sir Keir Starmer is the first self-declared atheist Prime Minister. Alastair Campbell, Tony Blair’s spin doctor, was also an atheist. He intervened in an interview to prevent Mr Blair answering a question about his Christianity by saying: ‘We don’t do God.

Years later, Mr Blair, by now a Catholic, said it was a mistake for politicians not to ‘Do God’. In an interview in 2009 he said: ‘As the years of my premiership passed, one fact struck me with increasing force: that failure to understand the power of religion meant failure to understand the modern world. … Leaders, whether of religious faith themselves or not, have to “do God”.’

But that is far from the wholehearted ability to grasp the spiritual dimension of events and call on the ‘power in the blood’ which a prime minister will need in the days ahead. If you agree, sign our Petition:

Prayers Answered

Mrs Badenoch said that she read the account of Elisabeth Fritzl and said: ‘I thought, I was praying for all sorts of stupid things and I was getting my prayers answered.

‘I was praying to have good grades. My hair should grow longer, and I would pray for the bus to come on time so I wouldn’t miss something. It’s like, why were those prayers answered and not this woman’s prayers? And it just, it was like someone blew out a candle.’

’Cultural Christianity’

Mrs Badenoch said that she still had “cultural Christianity”, something that she found has grown as she got older.

‘The just wanting to protect certain things because I think the world that we have in the UK is very much built on many Christian values, but it’s that belief in God itself.’

She added: ‘I rejected God, not Christianity. So I would still define myself as a cultural Christian.’

Richard Dawkins - Cultural Christian
Richard Dawkins – Cultural Christian

But then again, as reported by CARE, evolutionist Richard Dawkins also claims to be a ‘cultural Christian’. Last year, in an interview with LBC, he declared Christianity to be a ‘fundamentally decent religion’, and lamented the way in which in London the city was more decorated with symbols for Ramadan than with those of Easter.

Kemi too loves Easter, saying that people in Britain should ‘talk more’ about the holiday. She told GB News in April: ‘It comes with spring and the sunshine comes in. So we have freedom of religion in this country. We should make sure that people are free to celebrate their religion, not impose it on other people. Whatever the religion. Let’s not impose it. But yeah, let’s talk more about Easter. Why not?’

Once more she is missing the point that a nation’s laws depend on its culture, which depends on its religion. It is not for the State to impose the First Commandment but rather itself to observe it.

Telegraph readers’ comments

Telegraph readers brought many dimensions to the discussion.

Tao-das said: ‘Kemi I am disappointed, not because you said you no longer believe in God but because of the reasons you gave.’

James Williams agreed: ‘Is she really naive enough to think that there isn’t much worse than that going on in the world right now!?’

As did P.B.: ‘Dear me. Hasn’t she read the bible? Tree of the knowledge of good and evil? Humans are capable of evil and can actively choose to be good. Atheists have achieved Stalin and Hitler and Mao – as predicted by Nietzsche when he proclaimed that god is dead. Peterson is good on this….’

Stephen Ross said: ‘I respect what Kemi has said but strongly and respectfully disagree. I cannot form a view or response of God based on the behaviour of other people whether claiming to follow him or not when their behaviour is the complete anthesis of everything God stands for and has demonstrated through other people and circumstances in my life. Its like branding a school as poor when there is one bad teacher out of a staff of many good teachers.’

the question of suffering

Emelye Simpkin wrote: ‘Questions of suffering are, of course, immensely difficult to answer in relation to belief and trust in God, but if you base your belief decision on whether every prayer is answered, then you have missed the point. Start with a gospel and the identity of Jesus.’

David Sage observed: ‘Look at Christ and the apostles and see how badly they were treated yet they spread belief. There is Evil and it does and is doing, all over the world, even here, most terrible things. The alternative would be for God to refuse Free Will and enforce right behaviour.’

Mark Daugherty brought this: ‘I came from a horrific family situation. Violent beatings that continued for 17 years until my escape from them. I was drugged to facilitate the beatings. Left with permanent injury that has affected my whole life, and will eventually kill me. On two separate occasions I was starved to the point of near death. Many other horrific assaults.
Curiously, going through hell on earth had the opposite effect upon me. In the terrible pit I came to a certainty that God did exist, and to this day am convinced that it was God that kept me functional, and saw me to the other side. I am convinced it is my life long faith that enabled me to slowly rebuild my life, and form a character I believe to be loving despite what I went through.
‘This article really scores on me. I have no condemnation or judgement in my heart for anyone who struggles with the question of how there can be a God in a world of evil. It is perhaps the oldest dilemma of humankind. I can’t imagine living without a conception of God. I sympathize with those who never have that peace in their heart.

Born into the Kingdom

Paul Carpenter said: ‘Yes there is evil in the world but also an almighty good God. There are two kingdoms, the kingdom of Light and the kingdom of Darkness. God gives everyone free will to choose light or darkness. Satan’s kingdom (which he took from Adam) lies, steals, kills and destroys and we are all born into it. His kingdom is defeated and Christ is coming to judge the earth (Israel is the sign that this is imminent). We escape being condemned by being spiritually born into the kingdom of light. This follows repentance, confession and faith in Christ’s covenant finished work to deal with our sinfulness at the Cross.’

Claire Jenkins took aim at ‘cultural Christianity’: ‘I find this incredibly sad, as it suggests that Badenoch had a learned faith not a personal one, and due to reading about one man’s actions has come to the conclusion that God is ultimately untrustworthy.
‘And let’s be very clear here, if she has rejected God, she has rejected Christianity. You cannot do the one without the other, as then Easter and Christmas become “holidays” rather than noted Holy days.’

’Low cost option’

Cato Censor agreed: ‘I do admire Kemi’s pluck, but “cultural Christian” seems a very low cost option. Now if Jesus had only thought of that, well, no cross?’

D Storey was cutting: ‘Let’s make someone else’s misery all about me. How very 21st century.’

Christopher Young went back a bit: ‘What a surprise the last decent Christian leader was Thatcher and the last decent point of our Country was under her.’

Caroline van den Berg urged prayer: ‘We better start praying for a second coming of Jesus Christ so all these politician realise God does exist, he is more than the Easter Bunny .
‘What we need is a single individual committed to principle who can illuminate the path of virtue for generations to follow .
‘There will always be Evil people like Josef Fritzl we only have to look at our screens to see it. But we have faith hope and charity which can change the world . Keep praying.’

PRAY Pray for Kemi Badenoch to rediscover her faith. Pray the Lord will raise up a man of God to lead our nation. And ask your MP to support our Christian constitution and to ask the Government to honour our Christian heritage and the King of kings:

This momentous step has been taken, not in a British city, but in Jumilla (pronounced ‘Hu-mi-ya’), in Murcia, near Alicante in south-east Spain. Muslims and the godless left are outraged. Mounir Benjelloun Andaloussi Azhari, president of the Spanish federation of Islamic organisations, labelled the proposal ‘Islamophobic and discriminatory’ when speaking with El País newspaper. ‘They’re not going after other religions, they’re going after ours,’ he said. Now, if he is right, why would that be?

Francisco Lucas, the socialist leader in Murcia, said on X: ‘The PP violates the constitution and puts social cohesion as risk simply in the pursuit of power.’ Ah yes, ‘social cohesion’.

LBC reports that Jumilla has a population of about 27,000 – with roughly 7.5% coming from largely Muslim countries.

The move comes less than a month after several people were left injured during what the BBC describes as ‘anti-migrant unrest’ in Torre Pacheco, 70 miles south of Jumilla, after a pensioner was reportedly beaten up by three Moroccan men, no doubt in the cause of ‘social cohesion’.

In a dramatic statement, Vox posted on X: ‘Thanks to Vox the first measure to ban Islamic festivals in Spain’s public spaces has been passed. Spain is and will be forever the land of Christian people.’

Spain’s religious history

Muslim forces from North Africa, the Moors, invaded Spain in 711. According to the BBC, which, naturally, presents the conquest in a positive light, ‘in seven years (they) conquered the entire Iberian peninsula’. This was during the ‘the Age of the Saints’, which some call the ‘Dark Ages’. It was a time of great learning and evangelism in Europe, especially in the British Isles. The Iberian peninsula was however the province of tribes of Visigoths. There was of course no such entity as ‘Spain’.

The Abandonment of Granada by Boadbil, to Isabel I of Castilla and Fernando II of Aragon. By Francisco Pradilla y Ortiz (1848–1921)
The Abandonment of Granada by Boadbil, to Isabel I of Castilla and Fernando II of Aragon. By Francisco Pradilla y Ortiz (1848–1921)

Consequently, it took five hundred years, until the Battle of Las Navas de Tolosa, near Bilbao in northern Spain, fought on 16th July 1212, for the ‘Reconquista’ by Christian forces to begin. EBSCO reports: ‘King Alfonso VIII of Castile sought support for a crusade, resulting in a coalition of around 130,000 troops, including a mix of Spanish and northern European forces.’ At Tolosa, the Christian army defeated the forces of Muhammad al-Nāsir, the Moroccan emir.

The Muslim armies were driven further south over the course of two decades until the Siege of Córdoba (1236) and the Siege of Seville (1248) in the southern province of Andalusia pushed the Muslims into the enclave of Granada in the south. Two hundred and fifty years later, on 2nd January 1492, Muhammad XII of Granada (aka Boadbil) surrendered Granada and the Alhambra palace to married couple Isabella, Queen of Castile, and Ferdinand, King of Aragon. Finally, the entire Iberian peninsula was controlled by the united ‘Catholic Monarchs’.

Andalusia today

Even today, Muslims view the Reconquista and the fall of Granada as a disaster, painting a glowing picture of Islamic rule.

Migrants off the coast of Spain
Migrants off the coast of Spain

After conquest by the Moors in the eighth century, Jumilla itself remained as an Arab town called Yumil-la until it was retaken by forces led by Alfonso X of Castile in the mid-13th century. The Treaty of Alcaraz was signed in 1243. Jumilla lies 211 miles to the north-east of Granada, the only part of Spain subsequently remaining under Moorish control until 1492 when they were eventually driven out.

With Muslims smarting over the loss of ‘Al-Andalus’ to this day, it would be no wonder if some would see themselves in southern Spain as engaged in a form of jihad to recover ‘their’ land. The Ayatollah-inspired Islamic Human Rights Commission, described by the Henry Jackson Society as ‘institutionally pro-terrorist and anti-Semitic’, has begun holding a week-long ‘Critical Muslim Studies Summer School’ in Granada in June every year. That in itself is provocative, so would it not be understandable, given their history, if Spanish people were to view the young Muslim men coming in to their towns and cities right now as modern-day invaders?

The religious dimension

The history of the Iberian peninsula is as driven by its religious dimension as that of the United Kingdom. Our post-reformation Protestant heritage came under threat from Roman Catholic Spain and the Spanish Armada in 1588. The Gunpowder Plot of 5th November 1609 is remembered in Britain to this day. But in Spain Christianity is identified with Catholicism and it is the Taking of Granada in 1492 which is commemorated in that city every year on 2nd January.

Jumilla Castle
Jumilla Castle

What if the Roman Catholics of Spain, learning from their history, now have something to teach constitutionally-Protestant Britain? Should our leaders not take off their multicultural blinkers and recognise that Islam and its practitioners bring a similar present-day threat to the United Kingdom?

If our elite woke up to the spiritual dimension they would accept that the sights of the majority of Muslims in our midst are set on a greater goal than assimilation and integration. In response, they would stop giving in to Muslim demands, end the provision of halal food in prisons and schools, disband the sharia courts, clamp down hard on anti-semitism (rather than free speech), deport the illegal migrants and criminals and encourage Muslims to leave this nation. They may think they are using the Muslims to destroy our Christian heritage, but Islam will destroy them, ‘British values’ and all.

Eph 6:12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

Above all, our leaders should proclaim that the United Kingdom is a constitutionally-Christian country and that is how it will stay. If the Muslim migrant invasion really is the Lord’s judgment for our manifold sins (and who knows how many crossing the Channel are terrorist ‘sleepers’?), a reaffirmation that Jesus Christ is Sovereign over our land will be the necessary first step to national repentance and seeking the mercy of the King of kings. We may not have long. If the next Prime Minister does not ‘Do God’ and confess Christ it could be game over for ‘this green and pleasant land’:

Online Safety Act: Shield or Sword?

0
The Online Safety Act
The Online Safety Act

The Online Safety Act
The Online Safety Act

The UK’s Online Safety Act, which began with noble language, “protecting children from pornography”, has revealed itself as a censorship tool of chilling scope within weeks of enforcement.

Under the guise of shielding young eyes, the law has silenced cultural, political, and even historical expression.

Citizens scrolling online are now met with locked content, age walls, and vague warnings that once-free posts are “too sensitive.” The Act does not even protect children from online terror.

People terrified of ‘wrong-speak’

Meanwhile, Christian Voice spoke to people on the streets of Newcastle and Sunderland to gather public opinion on the Online Safety Act. Not a single individual agreed to speak on camera or have their voice recorded. Many expressed concern that sharing their honest views could lead to getting into trouble with the law. Most described the Act not as a “shield for safety,” but as a “sword of censorship,” cutting down free expression and open debate.

The problem isn’t, of course, as obvious as the Government or Ofcom ordering people to take material down. It’s that the threat of massive fines on Social Media or the fear for users of their channel or account being banned, or even that they will end up, like Lucy Connolly, in prison for an injudicious tweet, that will lead to self-censorship.

Here are five things the British people can no longer post or read about under the new internet censorship rules.

The banning of beauty and history

1930s Menswear: why are we not allowed to know the suit was gaining in popularity?
1930s Menswear: why are we not allowed to know the suit was gaining in popularity?

Weeks into the enforcement of the Online Safety Act, and what do we find? historic art and cultural truth silenced.

Francisco Goya’s striking 19th-century Saturn painting depicting an episode from Greek mythology, ‘Devouring His Son’ was swiftly hidden from UK users on X. Despite being a globally recognised work of art, it was deemed too disturbing for British eyes. Also censored: posts about Richard the Lionheart and the Crusades—likely because they reference historic Christian battles against Islamic conquest.

Even a thread on 1930s menswear was age-gated—yes, fashion history now requires government permission to view.

This is no longer about shielding children. It’s erasing memory and meaning.

Deuteronomy 32:7 Remember the days of old, consider the years of many generations: ask thy father, and he will shew thee; thy elders, and they will tell thee.

Women’s rights – censored and cancelled

In a land where the Supreme Court upheld single-sex spaces, online posts defending those same rights are now being suppressed.

A 53-year-old woman was barred from reading a post calling for single-sex public toilets. It was flagged as “too sensitive.” Yet, everywhere on our streets and screens, we see the celebration of men identifying as women, encouraged by the very authorities now silencing dissent.

If saying “women are women” is now “harmful,” then Britain has entered dangerous moral confusion.

Isaiah 59:14 And judgement is turned away backward, and justice standeth afar off: for truth is fallen in the street, and equity cannot enter.

Criticism of Government now a thought-crime

Satire and protest have long been hallmarks of British liberty. But not anymore.

Guido Fawkes
Guido Fawkes

A Guido Fawkes article by Benjamin Jones, of the Free Speech Union, mocking Prime Minister Keir Starmer’s unpopularity was hidden behind a content wall.

Likewise, a protest video outside a migrant hotel in Leeds, where police were seen restraining a demonstrator, was taken down.

The message is loud and clear: mock the people, praise the state; but never dare to question it.

This is no longer government by the people. It’s control over the people.

Ecclesiastes 5:8 If If thou seest the oppression of the poor, and violent perverting of judgement and justice in a province, marvel not at the matter: for he that is higher than the highest regardeth; and there be higher than they.

Grooming gang victims silenced again

Sammy Woodhouse
Sammy Woodhouse

The most shocking use of the Online Safety Act? Its silencing of victims of grooming gangs.

Sammy Woodhouse, a brave survivor of child rape and exploitation, saw her testimony hidden by X as “graphic content”. Incredibly, a speech in Parliament by MP Katie Lam quoting survivors was also suppressed. And Reddit forums offering support to sexual assault survivors were blocked.

These women were once ignored by the state. Now they’re being muted by it.

Proverbs 31:8 Open thy mouth for the dumb in the cause of all such as are appointed to destruction.

You can’t even complain about the Act

The Law That Forbids You from Talking About the Law.

Ben Jones: Censored
Ben Jones: Censored

When Benjamin Jones of the Free Speech Union compiled a list of all the content now censored under the Online Safety Act. Mr. Jones’ post was censored.

Let that sink in. You cannot even speak out against the censorship… because doing so has been also censored.

This is not “safety.” It’s tyranny. The freedom to speak, protest, and bear witness is a gift of God, not a privilege granted by government. And if we lose that freedom now, we may not get it back.

The Act has taken a sword to freedom. It needs to be repealed.

John 8:36 If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.

A Reform UK MP has said that scrapping the government’s “Net Stupid Zero” agenda could save families £1,000 a year, according to the Mail.

The government launched another round of “green subsidies—Allocation Round 7 (AR7)“, encouraging wind and solar firms to bid for multi-billion-pound taxpayer-funded contracts.

But Richard Tice MP warns this is a conceit Britain cannot afford. While families tighten their belts and essentials grow more expensive, this government remains devoted to a fantasy that is driving inflation, choking industry and battering ordinary households. The Bible says:

Ezek 45:9 Thus saith the Lord GOD; Let it suffice you, O princes of Israel: remove violence and spoil, and execute judgment and justice, take away your exactions from my people, saith the Lord GOD.

The cost of climate zealotry is not just ideological. It is economic oppression. Britain’s Net Zero policy is not a ‘plan for the planet’. It is punishment of the poor. Sign our Petition:

The green grenade

Electricity prices have soared, not due to market greed but due to state-engineered policies. According to Net Zero Watch, three-quarters of the rise in energy bills over the last decade is directly tied to green policies and lavish subsidies to wind and solar companies.

The Port Talbot Blast Furnaces
Closed: The Port Talbot Blast Furnaces

This is not just about household bills. It strikes at the heart of Britain’s ability to function. Energy undergirds everything: industry, transport, food, manufacturing. The notion that we can dismantle our reliable hydrocarbon base and rely on intermittent weather-based energy without consequences is naïve at best, wicked at worst. Britain’s electricity prices are the highest in the world, driven by subsidies paid for by energy consumers

Just today the Telegraph reported that we are importing cement because energy costs too much for firms to make much of it here. Glass works and pottery are moving overseas. Blast furnaces are being closed.

A legacy of folly from all parties

Politicians across parties have clung to the green gospel, a secular creed devoid of wisdom or foresight. These politicians have spent two decades pretending that “wind and sun” can replace gas, coal, and nuclear without cost.

The result is national vulnerability: rising prices, rolling blackouts, and supply chain uncertainty. While other countries secure reliable energy, Britain groans under utopian schemes and arrogant global targets. But coal, gas and oil are in the ground by the grace of God:

NetZero is being exposed as a sham

Mr Tice says has written to wind farm developers warning them that a future Reform government will refuse to continue the green subsidy bonanza. He is prepared to renegotiate contracts, cut off the “green blob,” and save ordinary families up to £1,000 a year by 2030.

Meanwhile, Energy & NetZero Secretary Ed Miliband MP is refusing to publish details of a green energy deal he has signed with China, America is scrapping green restrictions on cars, Ofcom is looking to shift more energy taxation onto middle-class families, pro-green energy company Octopus lied about HeatPump costs in its advertising, and the Met Office and the BBC have teamed up against ‘weather disinformation’, that is, sceptical climate comments.

A call to righteous rule and honest leadership

The Bible shows that leaders are put in place to enact godly policies which allow the people to flourish, not to oppress or impoverish the people:

Proverbs 29:2 When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice: but when the wicked beareth rule, the people mourn.

We call upon Christians to pray for the Lord to raise up leaders with courage to fear God more than activists, and to restore biblical justice in public policy, including taxation.

The green gods of this age promise peace—but they bring only poverty. The answer lies not in windmills but in wisdom. But that will need humility from those in authority:

Prov 15:33 The fear of the LORD is the instruction of wisdom; and before honour is humility.

Oppose ‘Islamophobia’ Definition

Rt Hon Angela Rayner MP

The Telegraph reports that Angela Rayner has backed down on timing for her Consultation of a definition for ‘Islamophobia’, after pressure from the Free Speech Union.

You can no longer respond from this LINK!. The new deadline was Sunday 20th July and has now passed. But you can pray and you can sign our Petition:

Petition: Oppose the
Islamophobia Definition →

Christians had just a week to respond to the proposal of ‘the Government adopting a definition of Anti-Muslim Hatred/Islamophobia’ which would certainly impede Christian apologists in exposing the errors of Islam. And respond they did, helped by our prompting to be a voice of scriptural witness.

It goes without saying that we love individual Muslims and pray for them to receive salvation in the Lord Jesus, but we must have the liberty to oppose the Islamic religion.

Heb 4:14 Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession. (KJV)

We are very aware that the Government never take any notice of what the people, let alone the good Lord, have to say on the issues of our day. Whether it’s on Buffer Zones or Sharia Courts or Sex Education, the Government publish a ‘consultation’ then ignore the results. However, the opening page of this latest consultation takes pre-judging the issue to a new level.

Priorities of British Muslims

On ‘gov.uk’ we read: ‘A new working group has been established to provide government with a working definition of Anti-Muslim Hatred/Islamophobia which is reflective of a wide range of perspectives and priorities of British Muslims.’

Note the emphasis is on ‘the perspectives and priorities of British Muslims’, not on public safety, or freedom of expression, or our Christian heritage.

Professor Javed Khan after receiving his OBE in in June 2021 for 'services to young people and education'
Professor Javed Khan after receiving his OBE in June 2021 for ‘services to young people and education’

The five members of the ‘Islamophobia/Anti-Muslim Hatred Definition working group’ are all well-placed Muslims, with the exception of Dominic Grieve KC, Barrister, remainer, insider and ex-minister, the pro-Islam multiculturalist (see here as well) who is chairing it. Three of the Muslim activists have been honoured by the elite with MBEs or OBEs already. They are: Professor Javed Khan OBE, Managing Director of EQUI, an Islamic think-tank, Baroness Shaista Gohir, OBE, MBE, CEO of something called the ‘Muslim Women’s Network UK’ (P.S. who has compared the violent Muslim Airport brothers to George Floyd) and Akeela Ahmed MBE, Co-Chair of the British Muslim Network (P.S. Who appears to be in line to benefit from an ‘Islamophobia’ definition). The fourth, one Asha Affi, is described as an ‘Independent Consultant’ but is actually a Somalian activist who leads the Council of Somali Organisations. No doubt the MBE is on its way.

Akeela Ahmed (MBE!)
Akeela Ahmed (MBE!)

Where are the Christians, Hindus, Secularists for that matter, who would provide some balance on the working group? Clearly, balance is not what the Government are aiming for, let alone honouring the Lord of life, as scripture demands:

Php 2:9 Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: 10 That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; 11 And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

‘Diversity enriches’

Given the inherent bias, it is hardly surprising we read on the ‘call for evidence page’ : ‘British Muslims hold a diverse range of opinions, identities, beliefs, and backgrounds. This diversity helps to enrich the fabric of UK society. There are countless examples of Muslim citizens achieving excellence across society – from entrepreneurs to public servants, from sports men and women to musicians and artists.’

The Saudi National Orchestra only play Islamic music
The Saudi National Orchestra only play Islamic music

This author is struggling to think of any Muslim musicians or artists enriching our society. Because Western music and art is ‘haram’ or forbidden they confine themselves to their own people. The Saudi National Orchestra (Go on!) demonstrate the point perfectly.

Furthermore, although it is not a welcome thought, in a fortnight when we are honouring the 52 innocent victims of the 7th July 2005 London bombings, and thanking the Lord for the deliverance from Islamic terrorism on the 21st July 2005, one might be forgiven for wondering how the jihadist aspect of Muslim ‘diversity’ has helped enrich UK society. Jihad is a ‘pillar’ of Islam.

The page goes on: ‘The UK Government has a responsibility to ensure that people of the UK receive equal treatment and can freely express their views, beliefs, and sense of identity. Sadly, this is not always the case; too many British Muslims have faced discrimination and hatred due to their religion.’ But can Christians freely express our views and beliefs in Britain today? And if Muslims have a separate ‘sense of identity’ derived from Islam, what does that say about their loyalty to Britain and our Christian culture, our political and legal systems?

No integration

Sir Keir Starmer and his deputy and Angela Rayner ostentatiously ‘taking the knee’ in 2020.

The plain fact is, British Muslims show little inclination to integrate into British society. In a great number of our towns, they have formed their own enclaves in which English, where spoken at all, is a second language. Yet they now demand ‘equal treatment’ and the freedom to express their views and beliefs.

Would this include the belief among a section of Muslim men that poor, white, working-class British girls from broken family backgrounds, often in local-authority care, are legitimate prey for sexual exploitation and rape? Let us not forget our establishment tried to cover up that scandal, in the name of the same ‘multi-culturalism’ and ‘diversity’ expounded by the ‘Islamophobia working group’.

As Sky reports here, as recently as January 2025 the ruling party whipped its MPs to reject calls for a grooming gangs enquiry.
As Sky reports here, as recently as January 2025 the ruling party whipped its MPs to reject calls for a grooming gangs enquiry.

Sir Keir Starmer had to be backed into a corner by Baroness Casey before he would agree to a enquiry. Police forces, local authority councillors and social services child protection personnel, not to mention members of parliament, all turned to a blind eye to depravity and horror. They sacrificed young girls on the altar of the same ‘community cohesion’ now being proposed by Dominic Grieve and his Muslim activist friends.

Contrary to their multicultural chimera, scripture says community cohesion can only come through our nation’s recognition of and obedience to the one to whom King Charles knelt at his coronation on 6th May 2023:

1Tim 6:14 That thou keep this commandment without spot, unrebukeable, until the appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ: 15 Which in his times he shall shew, who is the blessed and only Potentate, the King of kings, and Lord of lords;

Cultural markers

The working group go on to invite sympathy for their cause by trying to enrol other religious groups. They claim: ‘Anti-Muslim hatred/Islamophobia can also impact communities that are perceived to be Muslim. There are often cultural markers which are adopted by wider faith communities like Sikh, Hindu, Jain and Buddhists which are used to attack communities that are mistakenly identified as Muslim.’

In Leicester, during any episode of inter-community violence, Hindu and Muslim youths find little difficulty knowing each other apart. The argument is a smoke-screen. The real concern of the ‘working group’ is to stop people speaking about Muslim political ambition, Islamic violence and Muslim crime.

Qari Abdul Rauf, who led the Rochdale rape gang
Qari Abdul Rauf, who led the Rochdale rape gang

They want to stop us revealing that there is no change of heart required in conversion to Islam. Because Islam is a religion of ‘works’, it is possible to be a good, observant Muslim while running a drugs ring, a prostitution racket or indeed a child grooming operation. The papers report that Qari Abdul Rauf, who led the Rochdale grooming gang, was ‘previously regarded as a respected religious figure who recited from the Koran’. The word ‘previously’ betrays a mindset informed by a Christian understanding. Muslims do not ‘fall from grace’ because there is no grace to fall from. In his native Pakistan, where he is apparently building a house while claiming legal aid in Britain, he still is respected. He has broken no Islamic rules. The rape of kafir girls in Rochdale is of no consequence to a Muslim mindset.

The British establishment should be unashamedly proclaiming the superiority of Christianity, that Kingdom, which as hymn-writer John Ellerton wrote: ‘stands, and grows forever, till all thy creatures own thy sway:’

Dan 7:13 I saw in the night visions, and, behold, one like the Son of man came with the clouds of heaven, and came to the Ancient of days, and they brought him near before him. 14 And there was given him dominion, and glory, and a kingdom, that all people, nations, and languages, should serve him: his dominion is an everlasting dominion, which shall not pass away, and his kingdom that which shall not be destroyed.

The actual definition

Dominic Grieve, when Chair of the Security Council and Member of Parliament for Beaconsfield, visiting Havering Islamic Cultural Centre in 2018

The webpage says: ‘The Group’s proposed definition will be non-statutory’. Nevertheless, it ‘will provide the government and other relevant bodies with an understanding of unacceptable treatment and prejudice against Muslim communities.’ ‘Any proposed definition must be compatible with the unchanging right of the UK’s people to exercise freedom of speech and expression – which includes the right to criticise, express dislike of, or insult religions and/or the beliefs and practices of adherents.’

But let us not be fooled. The ‘working group’ and the consultation itself seem concerned to keep any proposal of an actual definition under wraps. However, the All-Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) on British Muslims, which is nothing more than a pro-Islam pressure group, has already let the cat out of the bag. It defines Islamophobia asrooted in racism and is a type of racism that targets expressions of Muslimness or perceived Muslimness’. Muslim groups like MEND are pushing hard for ministers to adopt this definition. But all these Muslim political ambitions oppose our Christian constitution in its biblical model:

2Chron 23:16 And Jehoiada made a covenant between him, and between all the people, and between the king, that they should be the LORD’S people.

Respond now!

Our opposition will need to be Christ-centred and Spirit-filled. Even the APPG proposed definition makes the assertion that any opposition to Islam stems from racism. That is categorically untrue. People of any colour should be welcome here so long as they honour and respect our Christian constitution. Muslims do not. It is incumbent on every Muslim to regard the Islamic way of life and Islamic government as superior to anything else and to campaign for it. This is a religious challenge, indeed a spiritual challenge, which we must and can only meet with the power and authority of the Lord Jesus.

Tell this consultation the truth. Pray into it, respond to it, do that little thing that only you can do, and trust the Lord to send a miracle.

New Logo for Christian Voice

Christian Voice Ripon Horn
Christian Voice Ripon Horn

Christian Voice is to have a new logo. Our current logo, featuring the ‘Ripon Horn’, dates from when we started in 1994, thirty-one years ago.

The Ripon horn symbolises God’s protection. It is still blown every night at 9 pm to ‘set the watch’ over the North Yorkshire city. The tradition is believed to have originated when King Alfred the Great granted Ripon a Royal Charter and a horn in 886AD. This led to the appointment of a watchman, or wakeman, to patrol the settlement during the hours of darkness.

It also led to the Ripon motto, ‘Except the Lord Keep the Cittie the Wakeman Waketh in Vain,’ which you will recognise as a quote from Psalm 127:1:

Psalm 127:1 A Song of degrees for Solomon. Except the LORD build the house, they labour in vain that build it: except the LORD keep the city, the watchman waketh but in vain. (KJV)

Prayer for protection

We still pray that for our cities and our United Kingdom. That prayer was especially to the fore just over twenty years ago. We prayed for the Lord to protect our land in the aftermath of the 7/7 London bombings. Precisely two weeks later the Lord himself showed his power by bringing the devices of a further group of Islamic terrorists to naught.

Indeed, I made a video in 2016 outside the Maalbeek metro station in Brussels just after a terrorist attack on that city’s underground network. I explained how our security servivces need our prayers for God’s blessing. Take a look:

Judgment has been falling

Support NCCSS / Christian Voice →

Since the inception of Christian Voice, we have prayed for national repentance for our leaders who have been legislating in stark rebellion from the righteous laws of God. But today, the United Kingdom is deep in sins which in 1994 we never imagined our elites would lead us into. With each day that passes we are seeing, not the Lord’s protection, but increasingly his judgment:

Psalm 81:12 So I gave them up unto their own hearts’ lust: and they walked in their own counsels.

J D Unwin discovered that no civilisation which allowed its family structure to crumble escaped going down the rubbish chute of history.
J D Unwin discovered that no civilisation which allowed its family structure to crumble escaped going down the rubbish chute of history.

It was anthropologist J D Unwin who declared in his 1934 book ‘Sex and Culture’ that throughout human history, a nation with a self-confident deistic culture with strong sexual morality would always overtake and defeat a society which had set aside its sexual restraints. See Kirk Durston’s analysis. Unwin wrote: ‘Any human society is free to choose either to display great energy or to enjoy sexual freedom; the evidence is that it cannot do both for more than one generation.’

Judgment has been falling on us for decades now, as a result of the ungodly measures enacted first in the 1960s and increasingly to this day: Lack of respect for God, for life and for family has resulted in a lack of respect for our fellow men and women, in a society which holds nothing sacred and in which those in power enrich themselves and care nothing for those below them. But it can become much, much worse.

Invasion as judgment

How many of the young men trying to enter Britain through Calais, or trudging through Europe, are genuine rfugees, and how many IS sleepers? No-one knows, but IS claim 'thousands'.
How many of the young men trying to enter Britain through Calais, or trudging through Europe, are genuine rfugees, and how many IS sleepers? No-one knows, but IS claim ‘thousands’.

In that light, it is difficult not to see the hordes of young Muslims arriving here daily and illegally by boat, encouraged by successive governments, topping up their fellow religionists already here, young men of second generation, as a slow-burn Islamic invasion.

Those in power still cannot see that their sacred cow of multiculturalism, designed to eradicate the Christianity upon which this nation was built but whose divine founder they hate, does not lead to sunlit uplands, but to disaster. Even now they act as apologists for Islam, the ideology which will destroy them. We are standing against their ungodly, defeatist idea of defining ‘Islamophobobia’. Sign our petition against that:

King Charles at the Saudi-funded Oxford Centre for Islamic Studies, of which he is Patron.

King Charles himself says it is ‘more imperative than ever’ to understand Islam and the Muslim world. Indeed it is, but not through his prism of multiculturalism.

In Deuteronomy 28, the Lord himself describes an invasion such as we are now experiencing as his judgment:

Deut 28:49 The LORD shall bring a nation against thee from far, from the end of the earth, as swift as the eagle flieth; a nation whose tongue thou shalt not understand; 50 A nation of fierce countenance, which shall not regard the person of the old, nor shew favour to the young:

Prayer for National Repentance

Christian Voice - shofar logo
Christian Voice – new shofar logo

There is only one way to stop the judgment from falling and it is national repentance. In our case it would involve a whole-hearted return to our country’s Christian constitution, exemplified by His Majesty’s coronation on 6th May 2023 together with a fearless proclamation from our elite of our nation’s dedication to Jesus Christ, the King of kings.

That is why in the days to come we shall changing our logo from the horn of protection to the shofar, warning of judgment:

Joel 2:1 Blow ye the trumpet in Zion, and sound an alarm in my holy mountain: let all the inhabitants of the land tremble: for the day of the LORD cometh, for it is nigh at hand;

Scripture shows such repentance followed by God’s blessing is possible but rare. It depends on the king being a man of humility. Perhaps the best example is ancient Judah’s King Josiah:

2Kings 22:13 (cf 2Chr 34:21) Go ye, enquire of the LORD for me, and for the people, and for all Judah, concerning the words of this book that is found: for great is the wrath of the LORD that is kindled against us, because our fathers have not hearkened unto the words of this book, to do according unto all that which is written concerning us.

We shall speak more about this in the days to come. In the meantime, sign our petition calling for those in office to repent:

Croydon Street Preacher Confronted by Police

Street preacher seen harassed by police in Crydon
Street preacher seen harassed by police in Crydon

A video circulating on social media shows Jesse Samuel, a Christian street preacher, being surrounded by police officers during an open-air service in Croydon, London.

In the footage, Samuel continues declaring the Gospel as officers appear to confront him over the content of his message.

This is not an isolated event. In recent years, similar scenes have played out across the UK, raising concerns that openly preaching Christ in public spaces is increasingly viewed as provocative by authorities and passersby alike.

Isaiah 59:14 And judgement is turned away backward, and justice standeth afar off: for truth is fallen in the street, and equity cannot enter.

Here is a sneak peak:

Return to the UK’s Christian Constitution →

A pattern of persecution

This incident is part of a growing pattern across the UK. Pastor Oluwole Ilesanmi was arrested outside Southgate Tube Station in 2019 for “breaching the peace” while reading the Bible.

Another preacher, Dale Mcalpine, arrested in Cumbria, was charged for stating biblical beliefs on homosexuality. Meanwhile, John Sherwood, a 71-year-old pastor, was also arrested in Uxbridge for preaching traditional family values.

A former pastor at Cumnock Baptist Church, Angus Cameron, was detained for over an hour in Glasgow while preaching on Buchanan Street in January 2022. Additionally, he was awarded £9,400 in legal costs, and he chose to donate the entire amount to the Christian Institute, which supported him throughout the case.

Clive Johnson, a retired pastor from Northern Ireland faced prosecution for preaching the Gospel in an open-air Sunday service near Coleraine’s Causeway Hospital.

Despite the preacher not mentioning abortion, nor directly engaging with patients or staff, the 76-year-old was charged under the Abortion Services (Safe Access Zones) Act.

Street preaching is not disorder, it is a protected expression of conscience. Yet police frequently treat Gospel truth as a threat.

Acts 4:18-20 Whether it be right in the sight of God to hearken unto you more than unto God, judge ye. For we cannot but speak the things which we have seen and heard.

Trans flags everywhere– but the cross offends

In today’s UK, rainbow crossings, trans flags, and drag performances are celebrated openly on our streets. Government buildings fly the transgender flag. Schools push gender ideology. Pride events receive police protection and funding.

Yet when a preacher quotes Scripture, it is met with police presence.

What is legal in Britain is no longer determined by truth, but by what offends the ruling moral order.

Romans 1:28 And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind.

Police guidance supports preaching, but not in practice

In past years, police chiefs have acknowledged street preaching as lawful.

The College of Policing issued training noting that “expressing religious beliefs in public places is lawful.” The Crown Prosecution Service has also recognised the right to preach in open spaces.

But on the ground, the law is often ignored. Preachers are moved on, arrested, or threatened, not for how they preach, but for what they preach.

Amos 5:10 They hate him that rebuketh in the gate, and they abhor him that speaketh uprightly.

Britain needs bold preachers, not silent watchmen

The Lord Jesus Christ did not avoid offence. He preached repentance. He warned of hell. He called sinners to salvation. A Gospel that offends no one saves no one.

Preachers on British streets are not extremists, they are watchmen. And if they are silenced, the blood of this generation is on our hands.

Ezekiel 3:18 When I say unto the wicked, Thou shalt surely die; and thou givest him not warning… his blood will I require at thine hand.

Let the Church arise and take her stand

The answer is not retreat—it is resistance. The Church must not let this nation go quietly into apostasy. We must raise our voices. We must defend those who are threatened for declaring the truth in public.

If the name of Christ is now a “public order” offence, Britain has lost her soul.

2 Timothy 4:2 – Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine.
