His Majesty King Charles III kisses the Bible at his Coronation in May 2023
A teacher in London has been sacked for telling Muslim children that Britain is a Christian country. He also told the boys off for washing their feet in the hand wash basins in the toilets (‘restroom’ if you’re American).
He told them: ‘Britain is still a Christian state’ and observed that the King is head of the Church of England. Well, it seems you can’t have that going on in England’s capital city with its British values of democracy, the rule of law, liberty, respect and tolerance.
So the school suspended the teacher in March twenty-twenty-four, then sacked him.
Origin of ‘Safeguarding Boards’
A month later he was referred to a ‘safeguarding board’ as well as to the Metropolitan Police, for an alleged hate crime. The Met’s child abuse investigation team even became involved.
The safeguarding officer concluded the teacher had made hurtful comments about Islam and that a child had been subject to emotional harm. The teacher succeeded in appealing the ban but remained sacked. Thank God the police dropped their inquiry.
Did you know ‘Safeguarding Boards’ were set up in two thousand and four after the murders of Holly Wells and Jessica Chapman in Soham by Ian Huntley, the school caretaker, to protect children from dangers posed by adults working with or around them.
Children ‘safe’ from truth
It has not taken long, has it, for ‘safeguarding’ to be used by woke activists in teaching and sport, against Christians and anyone else whose views do not align with their own Islamo-left or secularist view.
Those in power must keep children ‘safe’ from truth to protect their multicultural antichrist ideology. Because the truth here is that the United Kingdom is constitutionally Christian.
His Majesty King Charles III kisses the Bible at his Coronation in May 2023
During his coronation on 6th May twenty-twenty-three, King Charles was anointed by the Archbishop to rule as a Christian monarch, just as Zadok the priest anointed king Solomon in the Bible:
1Kings 1:39a And Zadok the priest took an horn of oil out of the tabernacle, and anointed Solomon.
The king kissed the Holy Bible, and made solemn promises to maintain the laws of God in his realm as well as the true profession of the Gospel.
’Wudu’ ritual of feet-washing
From ‘wudumate.com’
This washing the Muslim boys were doing is a religious requirement, by the way.
Muslims are commanded by the Quran in Surah 5 verse 6 to wash their feet as part of the ‘wudu’ ritual. So they wash them in the sink:
Koran, Surah 5 v 6: O ye who believe! when ye prepare for prayer, wash your faces, and your hands (and arms) to the elbows; Rub your heads (with water); and (wash) your feet to the ankles. If ye are in a state of ceremonial impurity, bathe your whole body. (Yusuf Ali’s translation.)
Did you know Muslim boys were doing this in British state schools? It’s a ritual cleansing done before prayer to gain spiritual and physical purity. It’ll take more than that, guys. Whoever you are, it’ll take turning to Jesus for your sins to be forgiven.
As it is written: 1John 1:9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
Christianity largest group
The United Kingdom may be constitutionally Christian, and have a long Christian heritage, dating back 1500 years or even longer, but what about current demographics?
In the 2021 census, 46.2% of the population declared themselves Christian in England & Wales, not including Scotland and Northern Ireland, but down from 59.3% in twenty-eleven.
Those of ‘no religion’ were up to 37.2% and Muslims were 6.5%, up from 4.9% in 2011, a thirty-two per-cent increase over ten years.
So Christians are still the largest group, Muslims are growing, and there is a sizeable proportion looking for a spiritual home.
Father banned from football coaching
Jamie Michael (acknowledgements to Free Speech Union)
But this story comes as Jamie Michael, who served with the Royal Marines in the invasion of Iraq in 2003, was reported banned as a football youth coach in the Rhondda Valley for an online post he made after the murders of three children in Southport in July 2024.
Mr Michael posted a 12-minute video in which he said illegal immigrants have ‘the numbers to take over’ the country. He denounced ‘scumbags’ and ‘psychopaths’ and warned the country was ‘under attack’. Mr Michael, a father aged 47, was charged with inciting racial hatred.
At his trial, the veteran said the targets for his criticism had been Southport killer Axel Rudakubana and ‘illegal, unchecked or radicalised immigrants’. He was unanimously cleared by the jury after just 17 minutes.
But after his acquittal, you just know the local safeguarding board will spring into action. They banned him from working with children for his completely lawful video warning. Jamie Michael is suing both the safeguarding board and the Football Association of Wales for £25,000 in damages.
School has a ‘prayer-room
The teacher in our story is now suing the local authority. His lawyers point out the school was non-faith and that prayers had been informally banned from the playground and confined to a prayer room set aside for the purpose.
So it emerges that state schools in this United Kingdom have set aside prayer rooms, not for Christians, but for Muslims. Was that in any party manifesto?
It’s almost as if His Majesty’s Government, our elite, our teaching establishment and civil servants, are ashamed of our Christian heritage and are quietly working against it, without telling you, isn’t it?
Pray for them to repent and return to the Christ of our Christian constitution. Pray the Lord will raise up able, truthful, honest, humble, God-fearing men who are up to that challenge: Exo 18:21 Moreover thou shalt provide out of all the people able men, such as fear God, men of truth, hating covetousness;
It is written: Psalm 33:12a Blessed is the nation whose God is the LORD;

University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust has announced a critical incident, citing what it calls “exceptional” numbers of flu patients.
According to the trust, 269 individuals have been admitted with influenza, prompting an immediate return to mask-wearing across all clinical departments.
The trust, which oversees Good Hope, Heartlands, Queen Elizabeth, and Solihull hospitals, reports that emergency departments remain overcrowded and that waiting times are “extended” despite additional capacity being opened on wards and in A&E.
Officials are instructing the public to “think carefully” before seeking hospital care and to use pharmacies or NHS 111 unless facing a life-threatening emergency.
This year’s strain, has been called ‘subclade K’ or ‘super flu’.
Daniel Elkeles, chief executive of NHS Providers which represents NHS trusts, said the country is seeing a “very nasty strain of flu” that has occurred earlier in the year than normal.
“When you were talking about anything like Covid, I think we need to get back into the habit that if you are coughing and sneezing, but you’re not unwell enough to not go to work, then you must wear a mask when you’re in public spaces, including on public transport to stop the chances of you giving your virus to somebody else,” he said.
“And we were all very good about infection control during Covid. And we really, really need to get back to that now.”
If you are really sick, it should be in bed”
Rt Hon Kemi Badenoch, Conservative Leader
The UK Health Security Agency wrote in a blog last week that “masks continue to be a useful tool in limiting the spread of respiratory viruses in some situations”.
However, the Conservative leader, Kemi Badenoch, disagrees with the idea, adding she was “still slightly traumatised by all the mask-wearing that we had to do during Covid”.
She told Sky News: “I personally think that face coverings can be a barrier to social interaction, social cohesion and I do worry about a mask mandate.
“I don’t think the government should be mandating anything. Let’s have some common sense. I think people can make up their own minds.
“If you are really sick, it should be in bed. It should not be on public transport. I think that’s more of a problem. But the truth is, many people are contagious before they realise that they’re even ill. So I’m not sure that it would work.”
The number of people in hospital with flu in England is at a record level for this time of year. An average of 1,717 flu patients were in beds in England each day, including 69 in critical care, the most recent data showed.
The declaration is presented as an unusual, unforeseeable spike in flu. Yet every winter, the NHS faces predictable respiratory surges, a reality acknowledged for decades. The question, therefore, is simple: Why is a normal seasonal pattern being framed as crisis?
Christian Voice readers will remember the pattern during the Covid years: seasonal illness rebranded as a public emergency, fear amplified, and the solution pre-packaged in the form of mass vaccination.
The NHS has repeatedly entered black alerts every winter long before Covid existed. The public deserves honesty, not recycled crisis language.
Proverbs 23:23 Buy the truth, and sell it not; also wisdom, and instruction, and understanding.
Meanwhile, worldwide databases record tens of thousands of reported deaths following Covid vaccination. These figures come from official passive-reporting systems such as ONS and the World Health Oganisation.
Governments insist these reports do not prove causation, but the numbers remain unprecedented in vaccine history. In prior decades, far smaller signals led to vaccine withdrawals.
Death reports
The MHRA’s Yellow Card system has recorded over 2,000 reports of death following Covid vaccination since rollout began. Again, regulators deny causality in most cases, but the sheer volume of reports, compared with all previous vaccines combined, remains extraordinary.
Families who lost loved ones following the jab continue to seek inquests, coroners’ verdicts, and recognition. For many, the silence from authorities speaks more loudly than the data.
Sadly, as Scripture warns: Luke 12: 2 For there is nothing covered, that shall not be revealed; neither hid, that shall not be known.
Documented covid lies
Christian Voice has consistently tracked the most provable deceptions of the Covid era and vaccinations. Here are several that were later publicly corrected or exposed:
The UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA), alongside the Royal College of General Practitioners and the Royal College of Emergency Medicine, quietly issued clinical guidance for detecting and managing myocarditis and pericarditis linked to Covid-19 vaccination.
Rob Slane did an in-depth report on the dangers of vaccination to the immune system. These adverse effects include cardiac damage, deaths, fertility problems, and the overall human immune system.
The weather as an excuse for manipulation
The winter months predictably bring, respiratory infections, influenza waves, colds and sore throats, RSV in children, and increased hospital pressures.
This happens every single year. Yet before 2020, such patterns were never treated as justification for masks, emergency declarations, or mass vaccination campaigns across the general population.
Meanwhile, the Summer generally brings: food-borne illness, heat exhaustion, mild enterovirus outbreaks (“summer colds”), pollen and allergy-related complaints.
Summer does not normally produce high respiratory admissions. Yet in the Covid era, even summer sniffles were transformed into opportunities for testing, tracking, and vaccination.
Why this matters
Seasonal colds should never be used as a pretext for mandating injections for the healthy majority. Yet the public has been conditioned to expect pharmaceutical intervention instead of normal immunity.
The attempt to reframe ordinary winter flu as a crisis follows the same script.
Hospitals may indeed be under strain, but the narrative that this strain is “exceptional” fits far too neatly into the post-Covid pattern of perpetual emergency.
Christians are commanded to test every claim: 1 Thessalonians 5:21 Prove all things; hold fast that which is good.
What the public needs now is truth, transparency, and the courage to question official narratives that no longer resemble reality.
Matthew 9:12 But when Jesus heard that, he said unto them, They that be whole need not a physician, but they that are sick.

I don’t know if you find it difficult to pray, or tough to find things or people to pray for? Or maybe you are always praying for friends, family and situations. Anyway, whether prayer is a challenge to you or whether it comes easy, the Apostle Paul gives us encouragement and direction in the first letter he wrote to Timothy. It’s in chapter two:
1Tim 2:1 I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men; 2 For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty. 3 For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour; 4 Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth. 5 For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus; (KJV)
In the nanosermon ‘Ministers of God’ I show from Romans chapter 13 and verses 3 AND 4 that it’s not just pastors and bishops who are ministers of God. I explain how every earthly ruler is responsible to Almighty God to uphold those who do what is righteous and punish those who do evil in the eyes of God.
Why pray for rulers specifically?
And now the Apostle tells us to pray for them. He speaks of supplications, which are requests, prayers, which involve humility and worship, intercessions, where we ask something for someone else, and giving of thanks for requests granted and for all God’s blessings. And though he says do this ‘for all men’ he singles out ‘kings’, and ‘all that are in authority’.
So why should we pray for rulers specifically? So ‘that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty’. You may have a romantic notion of the church thriving when it is persecuted, but God’s heart is not for his people to be hacked to pieces or imprisoned. It is for us to enjoy peace and quietness and for godliness and honesty to abound both in us and in a realm. It grieves the heart of God that in some places in the world, Communist or Islamic law makes it an offence to have a Bible, to meet together or to evangelise.
And even though we are not routinely in peril of our lives, even in the West Christians are now under pressure from so-called ‘equality laws’. But the Apostle was writing at a time when Christians were being locked up for their faith and the great persecution under Nero had either started or was imminent. If Paul could write as he did then, we have no excuse not to pray as he says today, wherever we are.
Our ‘law’ should follow God’s law
The Apostle says it is ‘good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour’ when his people have peace, and righteousness goes forth. Then he gives a further reason for us to pray for our leaders. He says God: ‘will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth’. He is saying it is easier to convict men of sin when the law of the land is in line with the laws of God.
Today, our rulers in the Western world have for a generation passed laws in direct opposition to the laws of God.
Abortion, no-fault divorce on demand, pornography, gay-marriage are all legal in Britain. And those are just a few of the obvious ones. How are people meant to know right from wrong in such an atmosphere of rebellion against God? How are they to turn to the ‘one God, and the one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus’ if they don’t know they have done anything wrong? Yes, they have a conscience, but the Bible is showing us how much better it is to have that confirmed by righteous laws.
Pray with precision
So keep praying, expecting God to answer and work miracles, and keep asking him in your prayers for something you can do to further his purpose.
It is good for prayers for our rulers to be specific, so organisations like Christian Voice here in the UK provide prayer and action targets so you can pray with precision. When you see an answer to prayer, give God the glory. Thank God for letting you be part of his victory. And it’s no sin to say to yourself: ‘Hey, I had a part in that!’

Anas Sarwar welcomed the review into evidence of grooming gangs in Scotland- PA Media
Scotland has now bowed to public pressure and announced a national review into grooming gangs. This follows a decision that did not arise from moral clarity, but from years of evasion.
After decades of reports from Rotherham, Telford, Oldham, Newcastle and Rochdale, many of which Christian Voice highlighted repeatedly, Holyrood has finally admitted that Scotland is not exempt from the same group-based child exploitation that scarred England.
Professor Alexis Jay, who once exposed the industrial-scale abuse in Rotherham, has been called in again. It is a tragic indictment that the same nation that ignored warnings then is now chasing the problem only after survivors forced their hand.
Ephesians 5:11 And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them.
Anas Sarwar welcomed the review into evidence of grooming gangs in Scotland- PA Media
Statements from Education Secretary Jenny Gilruth are steeped in cautious language, “sensitive,” “complex,” “careful consideration.” But those are the same soft tones local authorities in England used for years as girls were trafficked and terrorised.
Christian Voice warned repeatedly that political fear, the fear of upsetting certain “community relations” was the very climate that allowed grooming networks to flourish.
John Swinney now claims he is “open” to an inquiry. Open? After an alleged survivor wrote to him directly?
After Police Scotland quietly reviewed cases for years? The SNP did not act out of conviction. They acted because silence became impossible.
Proverbs 16:11 A just weight and balance are the LORD’s.
Yet justice delayed is justice denied.
In England, survivors of grooming gang abuse resigned from the government’s national inquiry panel, accusing officials of betrayal and manipulation.
The survivors said the inquiry has become “less about the truth and more about a cover-up.”
More than five women were appointed earlier this year to help oversee the process but claim the government silenced survivor voices and allowed political convenience to replace transparency.
Meanwhile, we have long documented the clear, repeated pattern across the UK in our previous articles about police officers being too frightened to speak openly, social workers advised to avoid “cultural tensions,” and girls criminalised while their abusers walked free. Councils have allegedly concealed reports to protect reputations.
Isaiah 59:14 Judgment is turned away backward, and justice standeth afar off.
The dangerous comfort of process
The Scottish Government has assembled leaders, inspectors, and academics, but Scotland should beware.
England had endless “reviews,” “inspections,” and “multi-agency panels,” yet grooming gangs continued for years because bureaucrats replaced repentance with paperwork.
Professor Jay herself knows better than anyone: the issue is not expertise, but willpower. It is not lack of evidence, but lack of courage. Scotland risks following the exact same path, endless consultations while girls continue to suffer.
When leaders fear offending men more than protecting children, wickedness prevails.
Proverbs 29:25 The fear of man bringeth a snare.
A call to national repentance
Christian Voice calls Scotland and the whole United Kingdom, to recognise that grooming gangs flourish in a moral vacuum. The absence of Christian sexual ethics, the collapse of family values, and a political class more concerned with image than innocence have all played their part.
A national review may reveal facts. But only national repentance will restore righteousness.
Scotland must not repeat England’s errors of political cowardice and moral confusion. Survivors deserve truth, justice, and a nation that finally stands on the side of the vulnerable.
Isaiah 5:20 Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil.

Outside the FSRH/RCOG conference December 2024, engaging with leading abortion-promoting celebrity Simphiwe Sessane.
Never ‘part of a woman’s body’. A baby of eight weeks gestation, just a month younger than the typical age for abortion
We are planning two pro-life witness events in December 2025 to provide an opportunity for Christians to stand up for the Lord and for human life.
This will be the second year we have witnessed in early December outside the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RCOG) and outside the Royal College of Nursing.
Dates and Venues
The pro-abortion ‘Faculty of Sexual and Reproductive Healthcare’ of the RCOG has now decided it’s a ‘College’, the CoSRH. Their annual conference on ‘sexual and reproductive healthcare’ will be held on Friday, 5th December 2025. The address is 10-18 Union Street, London SE1 1SZ. It’s not far from Borough Tube and London Bridge Station. We’ll be there from 8.00am.
Royal College of Nursing HQ, 20 Cavendish Square, London W1G 0RN
The Women’s Health Forum Conference of the Royal College of Nursing (RCN) will be held on Tuesday, 9th December 2025. The address of the RCN is 20 Cavendish Square , Marylebone , London W1G 0RN. We’ll be there from 9.00am.
Neither venue is in an ‘abortion buffer zone’.
Beliefs and realities
CoSRH are extremists who believe strongly in Sexual and Reproductive Health & Rights (SRHR).
Extreme pro-abortion Tonia Antoniazzi MP is a perfect fit for the CoSRH Conference
SRHR is promoted relentlessly by the UN, WHO, Western governments and NGOs and the abortion providers, International Planned Parenthood (IPPF) and Marie Stopes Ionternational (MSI) to the developing world. They say: ‘We believe that access to sexual and reproductive healthcare is a fundamental right.’ Well, it isn’t in any human rights instrument so they are wrong and need to be challenged.
The RCN conference will be equally pro-abortion. One prominent speaker is Charlotte Glynn. She is the Vice Chair of the RCN Women’s Health Forum Committee but she is also ‘Lead Nurse at the British Pregnancy Advisory Service’, Britain’s largest abortion provider.
Simphiwe Sesane
Another speaker will be nurse Simphiwe Sesane (pronounced Simp-hiwe Sess-ah-nay). The South African founded ‘Black Nurses and Midwives UK’, but she previously worked for twelve years for MSI.
Simphiwe is on the CoSRH committee pushing abortion worldwide.
What were you in your mother’s womb
We’ll give out our leaflets asking the question no abortionist ever wants to answer: What were You in your Mother’s Womb to those attending. Were you a human baby? It’s the question abortionists will never answer. Because if you weren’t a tiny human being in there, what were you?
The psalmist has no hesitation. That was ‘me’ in my mother’s womb:
‘What were you in your mother’s womb?’ (outside) Click on the PDF link to see and download both sides.
Psa 139:13 For thou hast possessed my reins (kidneys or insides): thou hast covered me in my mother’s womb.
There is of course plenty of scope for other approaches; the streets are open and we believe in freedom of expression.
Read & Pray
READ: Gen 26:22; Deut 27:25; Psalm 106:37-38, 139:13; Prov 6:16, 16:18; Eccl 11:5; Jer 19:5; Matt 19:14; Gal 1:15.
PRAY: For a good turn-out of believers. Pray that the hearts and minds of pro-abortion doctors and nurses will be impacted and changed, that they will turn to Christ and be saved and delivered.

LONDON, ENGLAND - JUNE 12: Sophie Ellis Bextor performs at the Royal Albert Hall on June 12, 2025 in London, England. (Photo by Lorne Thomson/Redferns)
Celebrities are set to perform at a concert of shame, known as “Trans Mission” openly defying the Supreme Court’s ruling on gender.
Artists including Sugababes, Sophie Ellis-Bextor, Wolf Alice, Christine and the Queens, Beverley Knight and others, will gather at Wembley Arena in March 2026 to promote sodomy.
What is being hailed as a glittering celebration of “trans rights” is, in reality, a brazen attempt by Britain’s entertainment elite to normalise ideological falsehoods under the guise of charity.
Organised by Olly Alexander and Mighty Hoopla, the event drags the nation’s youth into a fantasy world where feelings outrank facts and celebrity dogma takes precedence over God’s Word. They are not offering compassion, they are selling confusion.
Funds will go to the Good Law Project and Not a Phase, both pushing for gender self-identification, legal erasure of sex-based protections, and policies affecting schools, prisons, healthcare, and parental rights.
This is not charity. This is political fundraising disguised as entertainment, using pop culture to bankroll a movement that undermines safeguarding, women’s sports, single-sex spaces, and the well being of children.
Christ warned of those who “draw nigh unto me with their mouth” while their hearts pursue another agenda.
Matthew 15:8 This people draweth nigh unto me with their mouth … but their heart is far from me.
The smiles may be sincere, the mission is not.
1 Timothy 6:10 For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.
Public consequences
Pop stars and actors preach “inclusion,” yet they remain insulated from the real-world results of the policies they promote.
Ordinary families face schools socially transitioning children without parental consent, NHS scandals involving puberty blockers, safeguarding failures, women losing privacy, dignity, and fairness.
Meanwhile celebrities congratulate themselves for being “brave” from corporate-funded stages.
Romans 1:22 Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools.
When disagreement is smeared as “hate,” honest conversation becomes impossible and truth becomes the first casualty.
Tickets go on sale at £28.50, promising a night of “solidarity” and “community action.” But solidarity built on falsehood leads only to deeper division.
Britain is not suffering from a lack of concerts, it suffers from a lack of truth.
Real compassion is rooted in clarity, not in ideological coercion. Real unity is found in Christ, not in secular liturgies performed under spotlights.
A culture that celebrates gender confusion while condemning biblical truth is a culture in crisis.
Proverbs 14:34 Righteousness exalteth a nation: but sin is a reproach to any people.
The Wembley spectacle is not a sign of progress, but of a society drifting ever further from the God who made us — and from the truth that sets us free.
READ: Isa 59:14–15; Prov 31:8–9; Matt 6:24; Rom 1:18-32, Gala 6:7 .
PRAY: For wisdom and discernment for our nation, that Gods Word may remain the ultimate guide for all generations.
Pray for Protection for the young and vulnerable from being misled by false ideologies presented as “rights” or entertainment.
Pray that the Lord will expose every deception and pride in those who would promote confusion over His created order.

Turn with me to the book of Proverbs, chapter thirty and verse five. We read: Prov 30:5 Every word of God is pure: he is a shield unto them that put their trust in him.
But I said ‘turn with me to the book of Proverbs’ and you may not even know where that is. If every word of God is pure, you need to know where to find each one.
In church, you don’t want to be floundering as the preacher jumps from John to Deuteronomy, through Psalms and Daniel to Revelation, so again, you need to know where things are.
Not a random collection
And if you rely on your phone to find a text, well, just where is ‘Ezra’ in the Bible? Who was he? An apostle? A Gospel writer? A prophet? An historian? You need to know. So here’s a quick overview.
Firstly, the Bible is not some random collection. Nor is it ‘a book’ except in the physical sense. It’s a collection of some sixty-six separate books written by around forty human authors over fifteen centuries under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit.
It is God-breathed, effectively written by God. It has a logical order and it’s ‘intellectually coherent’. The whole Bible agrees with itself from beginning to end and contains thousands of cross references.
The History books
The Bible begins with the Old Testament which we can divide into History, Wisdom and Prophets. The first five books, Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers and Deuteronomy, were written down by Moses. They contain early human history and the laws of God. They are important. Jesus quoted Deuteronomy more than any other Old Testament book.
The book of Joshua, Moses successor, comes next, followed by Judges, recalling events before Israel had a king. The book of Ruth is a short love-story with a big impact on events. Samuel wrote most of first and second Samuel, and his books are followed by first and second Kings, which are history books of Israel’s kings, from a theological perspective.
Even more theological are the two books of Chronicles, which focus more on the southern kingdom of Judah after the Northern kingdom of Israel broke away. Chronicles interweave with Samuel and Kings. So you may read the same thing twice or see the same events covered from a different slant.
The books of Ezra and Nehemiah recount the return of Judah from captivity in Babylon to rebuild Jerusalem. The final history book is Esther, a dramatic account of the Jews in Persia.
The Wisdom books and Prophets
Then begin the Wisdom books, starting with Job, a story Moses probably collected.
The Psalms come next and are found in the middle of most Bibles. Don’t refer to ‘Psalms twenty’, though. Each of the psalms is a psalm. These are songs of praise, encouragement, wisdom and prophecy.
Next comes the book of Proverbs, which does what it says on the tin, and two beautiful wisdom books written by Solomon, Ecclesiastes and the Song of songs.
The Prophets start with Isaiah. They call the people to repentance and prophecy the future, refering to events in the history books. If you hear them separated into ‘major’ and ‘minor’ prophets, ‘minor’ just means he wrote a shorter book.
The New Testament
Then comes a silent gap of four hundred years before the New Testament begins with the four Gospels. ‘Gospel’ means ‘good news’ and Matthew, Mark, Luke and John are eye-witness accounts of the ministry of the Lord Jesus. John was written later, so we see more theological development in his Gospel over the other three.
Doctor Luke was also a historian and went on to write an account of the Acts of the Apostles, the fifth New Testament book.
Then come the letters the Apostles Paul, James, Peter, John and Jude wrote to the early churches. The Bible ends with the Revelation given to the Apostle John with its numerous references to the Old Testament. And don’t ever call it ‘Revelations’.
So now start navigating the Bible on your own. Get into it with knowledge of how it’s put together, because every word of God is pure.

A UK jury has acquitted Christian street preacher Shaun O'Sullivan of a religiously aggravated “Islamophobia” charge, ruling that his comments were protected religious and political speech—not a hate crime.
A Christian street preacher Shaun O’Sullivan has been unanimously cleared of ‘religiously-aggravated intentional harassment’ by a Crown Court jury.
Despite the acquittal, the case leaves behind troubling questions about the state of free speech, policing, the rising power of untested ‘hate claims’ and the real harassment of preachers by His Majesty’s Constabulary.
Mr O’Sullivan, 36, supported by the Christian Legal Centre, had been charged under the Crime and Disorder Act 1998. His alleged offence? Saying phrases such as “We love the Jews,” taking issue with “Jew haters,” and “Palestine lovers”, while preaching in Swindon town centre on 15 September 2024.
A Muslim family told police they felt targeted because they were wearing hijabs. Before any evidence was reviewed, a 999 call-handler immediately labelled the incident a “hate crime”, a decision made without factual basis, corroboration, or investigation.
The case was pursued during heightened tensions near the one-year anniversary of the 7 October attacks and amid frequent pro-Palestine demonstrations. Yet in court, the prosecution’s foundation crumbled:
No audio evidence. No video evidence. CCTV showing only seconds of passing contact with no confrontation. Witness accounts contradicting each other on key details.
The jury saw the truth plainly. The case should never have been brought.
This incident echoes earlier controversies in which police rapidly escalated non-criminal speech into full investigations, such as the arrest of street evangelist David Little in 2019/b> and the wrongful detention of Pastor John Sherwood in 2021, both later cleared. Each case raises the same question: Is biblical speech becoming a policed category in modern Britain?
John 7:24 Judge not according to the appearance, but judge righteous judgement.
A UK jury has acquitted Christian street preacher Shaun O’Sullivan of a religiously aggravated “Islamophobia” charge, ruling that his comments were protected religious and political speech, not a hate crime.
Under cross-examination by solicitor advocate Michael Phillips, the complainant conceded that:
“She had not heard the full message; Her interpretation was shaped by personal views on Gaza. She was upset partly because Mr O’Sullivan “spoke directly to us.”
The defence argued that any statements formed part of a general theological message, consistent with British traditions of public evangelism—not personal abuse.
Expert witness Dr Martin Parsons, a respected scholar of Christian and Islamic theology, delivered critical insight:
Street preaching is historically protected in British constitutional development. Criminalising religious expression undermines Articles 9, 10 and 11 of the European Convention on Human Rights.
The alleged comments are religious opinions, not hatred. Current political climate has dangerously blurred the line between criticism of ideas and hatred of people.
He further noted theological realities often ignored in public debate, including Qur’anic verses (e.g., Q5:51) historically contributing to anti-Jewish sentiment within Islamic tradition context crucial to understanding the preacher’s message.
Meanwhile, the Crown relied almost entirely on the family’s perception, a trend increasingly seen in UK policing, where a “hate incident” can be recorded solely on the basis of subjective feeling, regardless of evidence.
2 Corinthians 4:5 For we preach not ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord…
Mr O’Sullivan’s own testimony moved the courtroom. Once immersed in violence and crime, he encountered Christ and everything changed. He now dedicates his life to proclaiming hope in public spaces, offering the same mercy that delivered him.
“I was once lost, but Christ changed everything,” he said after the verdict. “My heart is to share the good news and love all people. I never intended harm.”
The trial lasted six days and cost the taxpayer an estimated £20,000,a heavy price for a case without evidence.
Meanwhile, in Wales, a school was criticised and investigated for promoting evangelical Christianity to its pupils. The school was accused of ‘promoting creationism’.
This verdict joins a growing list of legal victories exposing overreach:
Hatun Tash, repeatedly arrested for preaching at Speakers’ Corner, the McArthur bakery case, a landmark UK decision on compelled speech.
Together, these cases form a pattern: Christian expression is still legal, but the pressure to silence it is mounting.
This case should serve as a wake-up call to police, lawmakers, and the British public. The principle at stake was never merely about one preacher, it was about the right of believers to speak openly, Biblically, and without fear.
If Britain continues down a path where perception outweighs evidence, political sensitivities override truth, and biblical conviction becomes treated as hostility, then the fundamental freedoms carved out by our Christian heritage will slowly erode. But for now, a vital line has held. A jury has spoken, and a preacher walks free.
The verdict reaffirms what Scripture has long taught: light drives out darkness, truth withstands accusation, and no earthly authority can silence the Gospel when God has commissioned it.
May this case strengthen the resolve of every believer who feels pressure to remain silent. May it remind the Church that public proclamation is not merely a tradition—it is a calling.
And may Britain remember the liberties it inherited before they slip quietly away.

On Remembrance Day, 11th November 2025, I read that St George’s flags are creating “no-go zones” for NHS staff.
The Daily Telegraph reported ‘several NHS trust chief executives and leaders’ claiming that staff feel ‘intimidated by the presence of the flags across the country, including when they are visiting people in their own homes to give them treatment’.
OK, that may be reflecting no more than their own preconceptions and prejudices, because a poll of senior managers found 77 per cent, over three quarters of them, concerned, they said, about discrimination towards NHS staff from patients and the public.
Antisemitism of NHS staff
Evil: Dr Rahmeh Aladwan cannot stop her Islam-mandated hatred of Jews.
Anyway, one trust leader, speaking anonymously, said there were particular difficulties for staff working in the community.
He or she said: “We saw during the time when the flags went up – our staff, who are a large minority of black and Asian staff, feeling deliberately intimidated.
“It felt like the flags were up creating no go zones. That’s what it felt like to them.”
Well, anonymous trust leader probably thinks he or she is making an argument against the display of our national and union flags. But in fact, he or she is actually saying that these foreign, or even UK-born, staff do not feel any affection to this host nation.
That they hate or despise, or feel uncomfortable with, British national symbols.
Or are they associating them with protests against current levels of illegal Muslim migration? It is that connection by which these staff feel ‘deliberately intimidated’? In which case this might not be so much of a racial problem with our flags as a religious one, a spiritual one even.
Could it be it is Muslim staff who feel the most uncomfortable with a flag with the cross of Jesus Christ, the King of kings, on it?
Christian heritage & constitution
That flag and the Union flag remind us of our Christian heritage, our Christian constitution, our historical background as a Christian nation. All of that is what we, that is all of us, should respect and honour.
It’s just like what the Bible says about the Jewish Passover: Exod 12:14 And this day shall be unto you for a memorial; and ye shall keep it a feast to the LORD throughout your generations; ye shall keep it a feast by an ordinance for ever.
You see how a nation has to know where it has come from.
The prophet Joel says this about a significant day: Joel 1:3 Tell ye your children of it, and let your children tell their children, and their children another generation.
King Charles lays a wreath in a Christian service at the Cenotaph on Remembrance Sunday
That’s why we have Remembrance Sunday and Remembrance Day. The clue to the purpose of it is in the name.
And I venture that few of those who don’t care for our flags with the cross on them were found at a local remembrance Sunday service, or tuning in to watch the ceremony at the Cenotaph.
No nation can long survive if the people within it do not remember, honour and respect, even love, its heritage, its cultural symbols. There is no cohesion in a nation with a significant proportion of the population half-in-half-out.
Especially is there no cohesion in a nation wherein lie a significant proportion of the population who want to impose an alien faith and political system.
Jews were segregated in the face of Muslim aggression at Villa Park
And if an NHS trust leader voices concerns about ‘No-Go Zones’, what about the Muslim majority one around Villa Park Football Ground, which a football match has revealed is a no-go zone for Jews and those standing with them.
Going back to the NHS and both its staff and its staffing, obviously the nation’s health service should be training indigenous staff. I won’t go all holy and say that’s ‘wisdom’ but it’s surely common sense.
But there is obviously a problem which NHS trust leaders have identified with Muslim staff in this Christian nation which may turn up the very Jewish people their religion commands them to hate and destroy as patients.
So given that, and their disaffection with our nation and its Christian heritage, is it not looking increasingly as if this is their time to leave?
Pray into that, and pray for your MP, our king and those who bear rule in his name. May the Lord open their spiritual eyes to see this challenge as God sees it.
Scripture says: Isa 42:8 I am the LORD: that is my name: and my glory will I not give to another, neither my praise to graven images.
Our elite must turn back to him who alone can save us.

Have you seen or heard adverts encouraging you to install a smart meter? Where do they come from? Who pays for them?
Smart Energy GB
Well, a quick search shows they are made by a government quango, Smart Energy GB. And what was Smart Energy GB set up to do?
It’s there, and I quote from AI, although its website says much the same, to ‘inform consumers about the benefits of smart meters and managing household energy budgets’.
Why are the government promoting smart meters? AI says: ‘Governments promote smart meters to improve energy efficiency, provide consumers with tools to manage consumption and save money, and modernize the energy grid to support a transition to renewable energy sources.
‘Smart meters enable automatic meter readings, real-time consumption data, and the development of a flexible, low-carbon energy system that can better integrate intermittent sources like wind and solar power.’
Two-way communication’?
How do Smart Meters modernize the energy grid? AI says: By ‘enabling two-way communication between utilities and consumers’.
Well, that’s economical with the truth. You don’t communicate with the utility company, they interrogate your smart meter which informs on you about your minute by minute electricity consumption.
Why can’t those in power tell the truth? Because they don’t do God any more. It’s all just what they think they can get away with:
Isa 59:4 None calleth for justice, nor any pleadeth for truth: they trust in vanity, and speak lies; they conceive mischief, and bring forth iniquity.
‘Flexible, low-carbon energy’
And although the spin is of developing ‘flexible, low-carbon energy’ ‘integrate … wind and solar power’, your Smart Meter neither knows nor cares where your electricity is coming from.
Can they switch you off remotely? Well, only with a court warrant for non-payment. Unless the law is changed some day to enforce electricity use at off-peak periods. Currently, the adverts merely encourage you to do that.
We do that already in our house, but you need an economy seven tariff with slightly less expensive electricity from midnight to seven am to make it just about worth doing.
Even then, you don’t know the peaks and troughs during the day, even if you wanted to. And of course if the elite persist with their obsession with renewable energy, if there were enough of them, smart meters might better enable the phased black-outs they will need. But someone will more likely just pull a big switch in your local power station.
So who is paying for all this advertising? Because, bear in mind, promoting smart meters and usage is all Smart Energy GB does. Where is their budget, £38.3 million in 2022, more no doubt today, coming from?
Well, AI says: ‘The budget is primarily funded by contributions from large energy retailers.’ Oh, that’s OK, isn’t it? Hold on.
‘The costs are recovered through standing charges on energy bills.’ So you are funding their campaign for a national smart meter rollout. It’s just more unbiblical taxation. You are paying for government propaganda targeted at you, your family and friends. And there is nothing you can do about it.
The Bible says: Micah 2:1 Woe to them that devise iniquity, and work evil upon their beds!
when the morning is light, they practise it, because it is in the power of their hand.
As it happens, we have a smart meter. When we last did a switch, the new least expensive supplier demanded it. But why can’t they just leave uptake of smart meters to the market?
Why more taxation and a nannying quango?
Why cannot we walk at liberty, as the Bible demands? Psa 119:45 And I will walk at liberty: for I seek thy precepts.
This might be a minor matter, but it sits alongside all the government waste and profligacy, all their sin and arrogance, their belief that they know best, not the people, and certainly not the King of kings, the Lord Jesus.
There is much repenting of the old establishment ways to do, much turning to Christ, and seeking his will for what a government should and should not do.
Pray the Lord will raise up the able, truthful, honest, humble, God-fearing men who are up to that challenge:
Exo 18:21 Moreover thou shalt provide out of all the people able men, such as fear God, men of truth, hating covetousness;

You know, I am so thankful that Jesus paid the price for my sin. If you too know his forgiveness then you will be thanking him as well. But, and there was always going to be a ‘but’, we can take the adoration too far.
Look, suppose you were an earthly king, and one of your subjects was always at the foot of your throne thanking you for your kindness, in the end, wouldn’t you get a tiny bit fed up with all the fawning?
Wouldn’t you be inclined to say: ‘Can’t you do anything? Write a letter, or tend my garden, or wash the dishes, or something?
Accursed thing in the camp
Under Joshua, the Israelites took Jericho in the power of the Lord. It was a victory like no other. It resounded around the country. Flushed with success, and without consulting the Lord, Joshua sent a regiment, about two or three thousand men, to capture the neighbouring town of Ai. It was supposed to be an easy victory, but the Israelites were routed.
They were defeated because the Lord was not with them. One of their number had earlier looted what the Bible calls an ‘accursed thing’, a garment from Babylon and some silver and gold with idolatrous connections, from Jericho.
There was an accursed thing in the camp. There is such a thing as corporate responsibility. It can affect a family, a church, or even a nation. One man’s sin weakens the whole body, until it is dealt with. So what next?
‘Rest in my presence’?
We read, in Joshua chapter seven and verse six: Joshua 7:6 And Joshua rent his clothes, and fell to the earth upon his face before the ark of the LORD until the eventide, he and the elders of Israel, and put dust upon their heads.
He had a moan to the Lord: Joshua 7:7 And Joshua said, Alas, O Lord GOD, wherefore hast thou at all brought this people over Jordan, to deliver us into the hand of the Amorites, to destroy us? would to God we had been content, and dwelt on the other side Jordan! 8 O Lord, what shall I say, when Israel turneth their backs before their enemies!
He says they will all hear about it, and surround them, and kill them, and what will that say about God’s great name?
You see, Joshua didn’t know about the presence of the accursed thing in the camp. He was unaware of that sin. So there he was, on his face before the Lord. What did the Lord say to him? ‘Joshua, rest in my presence’ perhaps?
Let’s go to verse 10 and see: Joshua 7:10 And the LORD said unto Joshua, Get thee up; wherefore liest thou thus upon thy face? 11 Israel hath sinned, and they have also transgressed my covenant which I commanded them: for they have even taken of the accursed thing, and have also stolen, and dissembled also, and they have put it even among their own stuff.
God said, ‘you have to get up and deal with the sin’.
Stuck at the foot of the cross
You see, we can get stuck at the foot of the cross. Yes, we are grateful to the Lord Jesus for forgiving us, but you can stay in ‘Thank you Lord’ or even ‘Thank you for the Cross’ mode too long. If you still have sin in your heart, deal with it. And if you haven’t, what are you doing there?
Either way, God is saying to you: ‘Why are you lying there? Get up and get on with it.’ Show the Lord how grateful you are for his sacrifice by studying his word, seeking his face, striving to be holy as he is holy and seeing what he wants you to do with the rest of your life.
He has a great plan for you, I’m sure of that.

Lamplight Bible Reading Plan, oneof our first publications
ORDER ‘LAMPLIGHT’ HERE. This is for everyone for whom the world and its religions is not enough and who longs for the spiritual depth of the word of God himself. To read through the Bible is to see into the mind of God and to be empowered to pray in the name of Jesus, God the son.
To read through the Bible for the first time is an experience you will never forget. But even when you are reading for the fifth or fifteenth time, when you read a familiar Bible passage, something new always leaps out at you (as seasoned readers will know!).
Every year we promote our Lamplight Bible Reading Plan and there is always a good take up from those looking for a small Christmas gift or who want to invest just 20 minutes a day themselves reading the Bible through in a year, beginning on 1st January. ORDER ‘LAMPLIGHT’ HERE.
We also make Lamplight available in bulk to churches and ministries, which works like this: Lamplight retails at £2.50 but bulk orders for churches (eight or more) are discounted. You order 8, you receive 12. For every two ordered over eight, you’ll receive three more. So order 10, receive 15, order 12, receive 18, etc. Sell at £2.50, make a profit!
Bulk orders mean:
1 Many new Bible readers will benefit from learning the mind of God,
2 Every church selling Lamplight will benefit both financially and from a better-read congregation,
3 Christian Voice will benefit from exposure and from sales.
4 The Kingdom of God will be advanced.
Those following the Lamplight Plan read two chapters of the Old Testament each day, a passage of Wisdom literature (Job-Song) and a section from the New Testament. Nothing is repeated (except John 1:1-18, which just has to go in additionally on day one alongside Genesis 1&2 and Psalm 19). The Old Testament is arranged chronologically and the New Testament theologically.
What do I mean about the New Testament being ordered ‘theologically’? The Holy Spirit was drawing the Apostles into new understandings of the person of our Lord during the days of the early church. We begin in Luke with Jesus as a baby in a manger. By the time we are in the Gospel of John we see, as they did, our Lord as the King of creation.
The order of the books will illustrate: Luke, Acts, Galatians, 1Thess, 1Cor, 2Thess, 2Cor, Mark, Romans, Ephesians, Philippians, Colossians, 1Timothy, Titus, Philemon, 2Timothy, Matthew, Hebrews, James, 1Peter, 2Peter, John, 1John, 2John, 3John, Jude, Revelation.
Try it: you’ll love it and it will deepen and enrich your faith. We’ll look forward to hearing from you. ORDER ‘LAMPLIGHT’ HERE.

More than 300 schoolchildren kidnapped by gunmen in Nigeria.
More than 300 schoolchildren kidnapped by gunmen in Nigeria.
Fifty of the 303 children kidnapped by gunmen from a Catholic school in Nigeria on Friday have escaped, according to the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN).
CAN has since clarified that they escaped on Friday and Saturday and have been reunited with their parents in Niger state. However, the police say they haven’t been able to confirm these reports.
A major military-led search and rescue operation is under way for the remaining 253 children and 12 teachers who remain missing.
Authorities in several Nigerian states have ordered schools to shut following the mass abduction in Niger and another smaller hostage-taking in Kebbi state on 24th November 2025 when 25 pupils were kidnapped from a boarding school.
In response to the spate of abductions, Nigerian President Bola Tinubu has ordered the recruitment of an additional 30,000 police officers.
In another development, 38 people abducted from a church service in Kwara state last week were freed on Sunday, the state governor said.
Two people were killed in the attacked on Christ Apostolic Church in Eruku. Orders were given for many schools to close in states including Kebbi, Niger, Katsina, Yobe and Kwara.
There is still a lot of confusion and uncertainty in Papiri, the village in Niger state where the children were taken from.
Nigeria’s presidency responds
The Nigerian Police on duty
President Tinubu’s office said has said that all police in Very Important Persons (VIP) protection services had been redeployed to focus on core duties, especially in remote areas prone to attacks.
A report published earlier this month by the European Union Agency for Asylum (EUAA) said more than a quarter of Nigeria’s estimated 371,000-strong police force – 100,000 – were “assigned to the protection of politicians and VIPs, rather than to tasks serving the general population”.
According to CAN, the pupils managed to escape in what is being described as a brave and risky attempt to flee their captors.
Insecurity claims refuted
Nigerian Minister of Information and National Orientation Mohammed Idris Malagi has refuted president Trump, stating that while the country is indeed facing security challenges, most of the attacks are not driven by religious motives.
“Nigeria has a history of violent extremism that has created tension for us in the country, but I also want to point out that mostly they don’t discriminate between who is a Muslim or who is a Christian,” Malagi said.
“Christian communities and Muslim communities have been attacked by these extremists.”
The minister explained that claims Christians are being specifically targeted reflect a “lack of proper understanding of the diversity and complexity of the situation that we have in Nigeria”.
In a press release, the Christian organisation said: “CAN made it clear that its position on this issue has long been established and remains unchanged. Across many parts of Northern Nigeria and the Middle Belt, Christian communities have suffered repeated, organised, and brutal attacks which have left thousands dead, villages destroyed, and families displaced. These are not isolated crimes but a continuing pattern of violence that has persisted for years without justice or closure.
“However, CAN was alarmed to see a press statement reportedly issued by Barrister Bwala, titled ‘Presidency Debunks Western Christian Genocide Narrative in Dialogue with CAN Leadership.’ The report falsely suggested that the CAN President, Archbishop Daniel Okoh, dismissed or downplayed the ongoing killings by describing them as a ‘so-called Christian genocide.’”
That portrayal is completely false and grossly unfair.
President Trump’s intervention
Heightened tension continues across Nigeria following President Trump’s recent warning that the United States may consider military intervention in the North after a series of attacks that claimed the lives of several Christians.
His remarks, delivered during a briefing in Washington, have drawn mixed responses from political leaders but have also triggered strong emotions among Christian communities directly affected by the violence.
In several northern towns, church gatherings have shifted from routine worship to focused intercession and community briefings.
Christian leaders and residents say the situation has already forced families to relocate, disrupted schools and markets, and deepened fear in areas where security had been deteriorating for months.
Across the South and Middle Belt, Christians are also weighing in, some expressing relief that the crisis is finally receiving international attention, while others voice concern about possible escalation. Their reactions reflect the complexity of a country still processing the implications of both the attacks and the global response they have provoked.
“Real-life test of faith”
Are attacks on Christians in Nigeria on the rise? – BBC News Creator: Getty Images
Phillip James, a Christian man resident in Kano State Nigeria told Christian Voice: “Life in the North has always been severe, but what we face now is something altogether darker. Every sunset feels like a warning, and every distant sound makes children jump. We gather in small groups, whispering Scripture because it comforts us more than the noise in the world. Also because it is safer to keep it small and simple.
“We heard what President Trump said, but most of us here have learned not to put too much weight on speeches. Our hope is on the word of God, because once that’s the only one we can trust in our trying times.”
Meanwhile, a Christian woman, Miriam Okoro who migrated to Benue State from the Eastern part of Nigeria(Enugu) in 2007 said: “Living here as a Christian is a real-life test of faith. Our going out, coming in, sleeping, or breathing is a prayer point we hope God answers.
“I have never seen anything as dark as what I witnessed in these past few weeks. That night broke something in me, or maybe it revealed something. Yet even in the devastation, I saw a truth, the light of God still travels from house to house, carried quietly by ordinary people who refuse to give up hope. And still, I find myself asking… is it not the same God the people of the South and the East cry out to as well?
“Whether foreign soldiers come or not, I believe God sustains us through the courage of our community.”
Asked if she and her family ever thought of relocating back to the East, she told Christian Voice, “This is our home now. We have lived here all our lives, there is nothing to go back to, but the recent attacks is making us consider moving to the South, but what is the guarantee we will all get out alive?”
Another Christian Woman Joy Isa from Jos said: “We are pilgrims living on land that no longer feels like home. There’s often a feeling of pilgrimage — travelling through a land that can be both beautiful and brutal, sustained by grace and faith. Life in the North can remind a Christian that earth is not our final home, but a journey toward eternal light.”
“If intervention brings order, we will welcome it”
Churches in Nigeria have faced continuous attacks in recent time.
“The Church has gone quiet on the outside, but louder in the Spirit”, said a Pastor who spoke on the condition of anonymity for safety reasons.
Pastor A whose church is in Benue State Nigeria, added: “We no longer meet in the same place twice, and sometimes our gathering is no more than five people whispering hymns in the dark. On the outside it looks like fear, but inside there is a boldness growing a certainty that Christ walks with us. The danger has stripped away everything unnecessary and left us with pure, stubborn faith.
If intervention brings order, we will welcome it, but none of us are waiting passively. We are praying fiercely, resisting despair, and holding tightly to the truth that no power on earth can crush the Church when it prays.”
Pastor A says that in these recent months, he steps into the pulpit with a trembling heart, not out of fear of death, but because he has already made peace with the reality that any service could be his last.
“You look into the faces of your congregation and you see bravery mixed with exhaustion. Many have lost homes, loved ones, even entire communities, yet they come to worship with songs that rise like incense in the cold air.
“Trump’s declaration has sparked endless debate, but here in the North we are focused on survival and faithfulness. We do not know what tomorrow holds, so we pour everything into today, every sermon, every prayer, every moment of fellowship.”
Voices from the South
Distance does not dissolve responsibility said Evangelist Emem Ukpabio.
“Many Christians in the South think the crisis is far away, but God does not measure suffering by geography. We are sending payers and love to the North. The Scriptures teaches us that the Church is one body, and when one part bleeds, the rest must rush to bind the wound.”
Mrs Ukpabio who runs a ministry in Akwa Ibom state Nigeria (the South) added that: “We are praying not just for safety but the courage for believers to stand firm, and leaders to act with wisdom rather than pride. The North’s pain has become the nation’s burden to carry.”
Rev. Matthew Iruka said: “This is a moment when the Church must steady the nation.“Everywhere I go in the capital, people whisper about what might come next, war, intervention, collapse.
Fear is spreading faster than truth, and this is precisely when the Church must become the steadying voice. We cannot add to the panic, we must anchor people in Scripture and in hope.
Whether foreign troops arrive or not, whether politics stabilise or spiral, we must proclaim that God remains sovereign. The nation feels fragile, but the Kingdom is unshakeable.”
In the same vein, Robinson Robinson welcomed President Trump’s intervention plans, saying it reflects the urgency of the situation Christians face in the North.
Mr. Robinson said: “This is exactly the kind of action we have been praying for. We cannot deny the fact that Nigerians are being attacked in different parts of the North on a daily basis. Every week we hear of killings, kidnappings, and churches burned.
“The Christian community lives in constant fear. Fear of travelling, fear of gathering to worship, even fear of sleeping at night. If the Nigerian government cannot protect its citizens, then we need international support to stop this suffering.”
Overlapping crises
Armed conflict has been one of Nigeria’s biggest challenges since 2009, when various groups began waging war in the country’s north. The struggle grabbed international attention in April 2014, when Boko Haram — a group known for its violent campaign against Western education, kidnapped 276 schoolgirls from their dormitory in Chibok, Borno State.
Today, Nigeria faces overlapping security crises, including attacks by armed groups, bandits targeting farmers and rural communities, widespread kidnapping, separatist agitations, and deadly communal clashes between predominantly Muslim pastoral herders and mostly Christian farming communities of various ethnic groups.
Nigeria has a population of 235 million, with a presence of more than 250 ethnic groups. Fifty-three percent of Nigerians are Muslim, and 45 percent are Christian. Ongoing violence has severely impacted the economy and, because many farmers are unable to farm, is causing a food emergency that has left millions of Nigerians starving and displaced.
A nation united in prayer
These accounts, reveal a country wounded yet resolute. Believers mourn, but they also rise each day with steadfast faith, clinging not to promises of political aid but to the God who has carried His people through every trial.

Equity, Diversity, and Inclusivity (EDI) | Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry
As Britain faces mounting economic pressures, revelations now show that over 500 civil servants are employed across Government to police and expand Diversity, Equality and Inclusion (DEI) frameworks. These roles have doubled in some departments since Labour took power.
This surge, uncovered only after a two-year struggle for transparency by MP Neil O’Brien, raises sobering questions about national priorities. Rather than strengthening families, communities or national cohesion, resources appear to be funnelled into ideological administration.
It also follows earlier controversies, such as the 2022 revelation that Whitehall spent over £200,000 on unconscious-bias training shortly before scrapping it for being ineffective, and the 2021 backlash over civil service “gender-neutral language” directives that even ministers claimed were unnecessary distractions. What a waste of taxpayers money!
Year after year, the same pattern emerges, the machinery of Government grows increasingly devoted to cultural doctrines rather than practical reforms.
Proverbs 14:34 Righteousness exalteth a nation: but sin is a reproach to any people.
The Ministry of Defence alone now employs 77 DEI-themed staff, while the Cabinet Office’s “Office for Equality and Opportunity” has risen from 28 to 180 employees in just one year.
Across Whitehall, verified numbers reach at least 510 DEI posts, amounting to a minimum annual salary cost of £28.1 million, not counting compliance work placed upon other civil servants.
At a time when families struggle to heat their homes, ministers are expanding offices that generate more paperwork than practical benefit.
This echoes earlier concerns raised during the pandemic, when frontline workers complained that resources were being spent on administrative restructuring rather than essential service delivery.
The growing divide between institutional priorities and public realities has become increasingly difficult to ignore.
Matthew 6:21 For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.
Neil O’Brien, Conservative Party politician who has been the Member of Parliament for Harborough, Oadby and Wigston
Neil O’Brien’s effort to uncover these figures met repeated obstruction, with some departments refusing to answer questions they had answered under the previous Government.
The Ministry of Justice and DEFRA claimed the information was “not held centrally”, a justification that even parliamentary advisors reportedly viewed as highly implausible.
This lack of transparency fuels public mistrust and raises concerns about what else lies hidden behind bureaucratic walls.
It mirrors past battles—such as the long-delayed release of data on police diversity spending in 2020, or the attempt to withhold internal guidance on school gender policies in 2021. The pattern is clear: when ideology takes root, openness often withers.
John 3:20 For every one that doeth evil hateth the light… lest his deeds should be reproved.
Chancellor Rachel Reeves prepares to raise taxes again, claiming necessity. Yet within Government itself, DEI staffing expands relentlessly.
This creates double taxation: once for salaries, and again for the administrative burden DEI policy imposes on ordinary workers.
Mr. O’Brien warns that these “woke diversity jobs” operate as ideological engines rather than public service roles, driving up national costs while doing little to support the struggling British household.
This financial strain reflects earlier periods—such as the post-2008 austerity era—when ordinary families bore the brunt of government mismanagement. Today, many feel history is repeating itself, only now under the banner of equality rhetoric.
Proverbs 27:23 Be thou diligent to know the state of thy flocks, and look well to thy herds.
The Moral Responsibility Of Government
A government source defended the DEI expansion, citing policies addressing women’s safety, disability inclusion and workplace inequality.
Yet the broader concern remains: is the nation investing in genuine support or ideological machinery?
Britain’s working families, already burdened by rising costs, deserve a government focused on strengthening the moral, economic and spiritual foundations of society—not multiplying administrative structures whose outcomes remain unclear.
Past warnings from church leaders, community advocates and even former civil servants—have repeatedly stressed that a nation drifts when its institutions become detached from the real needs of its people.
As historic crises have shown, from the industrial decline of the 1980s to the family breakdown concerns highlighted by the 2011 riots review, a society that sacrifices foundational truths in pursuit of passing ideologies soon finds itself weakened.

Do you want the blessing of God in everything you do? I know I do. Well, the Bible shows us how it’s done. Let’s read the first three verses of the very first Psalm.
Psalm 1:1 Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. 2 But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night. 3 And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper. (KJV)
Do you want to be blessed? Then don’t listen to those who don’t know the Lord. Don’t be with those who break his commandments. And don’t chat with those who sneer at his righteous law.
Delight in the law of the Lord
Instead of that, delight in the law of the Lord. The Hebrew word for ‘law’ is’’Torah’ which means the ‘instruction’ of Yehovah. (There’s no hard ‘J’ in Hebrew!) Meditate in it, that’s study it, think about it, pray over it, all the time. You see, the law of God expresses the character of God.
You might say, ‘I have the grace of God, what more do I need?’ Firstly, you need the blessing of God and secondly, to be praying with the mind of God.
Begin by reading and studying God’s moral and civil laws which govern the human world and hold human society together. You’ll find them all through the Bible. Delight in them, because they were given for our good.
Next, look at the sacrificial laws. They were fulfilled in the sacrifice of Christ. But still delight in them, because they show that God loves you and me so much he always planned for us to be reconciled to him through the precious blood of Jesus.
Laws of nature
Then appreciate the laws of nature which God put in place to govern the physical world and hold the universe together. Scientists from Newton to Boyle, from Archimedes to Einstein have discovered God’s laws, and they are still hard at it. God’s laws are all around you, giving life to everything that lives. Delight in them all.
If you do this, you will be like a tree planted by the rivers of water. You’ll be drawing refreshment from the very fountain of life. You’ll bring forth fruit in its season. What you do will rebound to the glory of God. You’ll advance his kingdom.
You will remain strong. Your leaf will not wither, so you’ll keep going when others drop. You’ll shine while they fade. You’ll have a testimony of hope and encouragement.
Delight in and meditate in his law, and whatever you turn your hand to will succeed. Now look, you may have to be patient. You’ll have to be diligent. It won’t come easy. There may be set-backs. There’ll certainly be attacks.
God’s promise
But God’s promise is that if you do what this Psalm so clearly tells you to do, you will experience his blessing in every area of your life, spiritually, emotionally, physically, financially, in work, in family, in preaching the Gospel, and in building the kingdom of God here on earth.
Whatsoever you do will prosper. No ifs, no buts. That is the promise of God Almighty. It’s there for you when you delight and meditate in his law.
So what are you waiting for? I want you to know the fulness of the Lord’s blessing. This is your time. Seize it. Do it!

I’m Stephen Green and in this Christian Voice Nanosermon we’re going to be blessed by a verse from the longest psalm in the Bible. It’s Psalm one hundred and nineteen and verse eighteen:
Psa 119:18 Open thou mine eyes, that I may behold wondrous things out of thy law.
Every single verse of this great psalm praises the law of God, saying something good about his commandments, his statutes, his precepts, his Torah, his instruction for mankind.
And here the psalmist prays for vision to see the depth and the wonder of God’s law.
How many separate laws?
There will be a surprise at the end of this nanosermon, but let’s start with the obvious, and ask how many separate laws of God do we find in the Torah?
The correct answer is not ten, it’s six hundred and thirteen. The Rabbis separate the six hundred and thirteen mitzvot, or laws, into four categories:
The two biggest categories, surprisingly, are the sacrificial laws to do with the ancient temple, and the ceremonial laws, devoted to ritual cleanliness.
Next are the moral laws, to do with personal behaviour, and the civil laws, which govern how society is to work.
Sacrificial & Ceremonial Laws
Each of those categories contains wondrous things.
The sacrificial laws prophesy the sacrifice of Jesus and our redemption. That’s a wonder, how God set in place a plan for our reconciliation to himself. And remember, the psalmist never even saw their fulfilment in Jesus, Yeshua, the Messiah.
The ceremonial laws show how Israel was to be different from the nations, separated for service. Jews follow most of those today and many Christians see the dietary laws as a way to eat more healthily.
Moral & Civil Laws
The moral laws provide a pattern for godly living, and they are intertwined with the civil laws, showing how we are to interact with each other.
If God is our creator, he had both the right and the duty to spell these laws out, so human society would function in peace with a degree of order and thereby hold together.
That there could be a Creator with such a loving intention is wondrous in itself. And if we approach God’s laws with our eyes open and in humility, not sitting in judgment on them, but learning and studying them instead, then we shall see wondrous things.
As you read your Bible, you will realise there is so much wonder you had not yet seen.
The laws of nature
Now then. There is yet another category of God’s law showing us wondrous things. And that is the laws of nature.
To consider, as the writer of Ecclesiastes puts it, how we grow in the womb, from the miracle of conception to the miracle of birth, is to behold wondrous things.
In Psalm eight, the psalmist is in wonder when he considers the heavens.
Proverbs chapter eight teaches us that God’s laws, all the laws of nature, personified there as his ‘wisdom’, was put in place, as it had to be, before anything was brought forth. To study nature, as Christians have done down the ages, without forcing it into an evolutionary grid, is to behold wondrous things.
’See what God has already given’
Charles Haddon Spurgeon said of this verse: ‘We do not so much need God to give us more benefits, as we need the ability to see what He has already given.’
Psa 119:18 Open thou mine eyes, that I may behold wondrous things out of thy law.

Gendered Intelligence training to promote woke ideologies within the work space and schools. Credit: Gendered.
Gendered Intelligence has delivered almost 400 training sessions to over 9,300 people across 135 organisations Credit: Gendered Intelligence
Across Britain, schools, hospitals, and even sports bodies are quietly being seduced by a group of networks promoting transgenderism.
Behind the slogans of “inclusion” and “diversity” lies a movement that has infiltrated the public sector, rewriting long-held definitions of truth, biology, and morality. From the NHS to the classroom, no institution seems untouched by its influence.
This movement has gained legitimacy through official partnerships, public funding, and a network of advocacy groups presenting themselves as experts in gender identity. One of the most prominent among them is Telegraph, a charity that has become a trusted adviser to government departments, councils, and national charities.
Many Christian educators, doctors, and parents have found themselves pressured to affirm ideas that conflict with both science and Scripture.
2 Timothy 4:3 The time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine
As reported on the Telegraph: When South London PE teacher Harriet saw a “Trans Inclusion in Sport” webinar promoted by England Athletics, she expected practical advice about supporting pupils sensitively and safely.
A teenage girl on her team had recently begun identifying as male, and Harriet wanted to ensure she could protect the pupil’s wellbeing while maintaining fairness in sport.
But the session left her alarmed. “I went in open-minded,” she explained, “but came away feeling that it was short on facts and long on ideology.” The training insisted that the physical advantage of male bodies was “overstated,” and that questioning such claims amounted to harm.
Participants were told that “free speech against trans people” was not acceptable, a chilling reminder of how debate is being replaced by dogma. When Harriet privately asked how to keep her female student safe in boys’ teams, the presenter accused her of “assuming gender stereotypes.”
After years of teaching both boys and girls, Ms.Harriet knew the physical realities could not be ignored. But under this new orthodoxy, truth no longer matters; affirmation has become the ultimate virtue.
Isaiah 5:20 Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter
The rapid rise of Gendered Intelligence has been fuelled by money, lots of it. The organisation, which only gained charity status in 2019, now commands up to £2,215 for a single-day training course. In 2023–24 alone, its training sessions generated more than £250,000 in revenue, a sharp increase from previous years.
Public grants have also poured in. The Esmée Fairbairn Foundation, the Paul Hamlyn Foundation, and the Sainsbury family’s Three Guineas Trust have each contributed hundreds of thousands of pounds. (We recognise these names as promoting other anti-Christian activist NGOs.) By 2024, Gendered Intelligence’s annual income had more than doubled since 2019, with substantial sums coming directly from government contracts.
At a time when ordinary Britons struggle with the cost of living, taxpayers are unknowingly funding an ideology that undermines science and faith. While the NHS waits grow longer, funds are quietly diverted into “diversity” projects that prioritise ideology over patient care.
The question must be asked: how did we get to a point where those who question this spending are branded as bigots, while those profiting from confusion are rewarded as heroes?
Eph 5:11 And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them.
The NHS and the Affirmation Agenda
Gendered Intelligence’s role within the NHS has sparked outrage among medical professionals. Former clinicians from the Tavistock Gender Identity Development Service have accused the charity of promoting an “affirmation-only” model, encouraging young patients to transition without due psychological assessment or caution.
This approach can easily lock vulnerable children into life-altering medical interventions. Rather than helping them explore the roots of their distress, activists have turned the NHS into a conveyor belt of affirmation.
Dr. Hillary Cass, British honorary physician in paediatrics.
The Cass Review’s findings earlier this year confirmed that many such practices were unsafe, prompting the closure of the Tavistock clinic.
Despite this, Gendered Intelligence continues to present itself as an expert advisor on “best practice.” The irony is painful: the very ideology that has harmed children’s mental health now claims to be their saviour.
But ‘Gendered Intelligence’ makes no secret of its intentions. Its website says: ‘Gendered Intelligence is a trans-led and trans-involving charity that works to increase understandings of gender diversity and improve the lives of trans people.’ That’s clear enough. It’s not impartial, it’s a trans-promoting mob of partisan activists.
‘Charlie Kye’ Trustee of Gendered Intelligence. Stated pronouns ‘she/her’, since you ask.
Its ‘Meet the Team’ page has everyone referred to by first name (or invented first name) only, as in ‘trustees’: ‘Charlie’, ‘James’, ‘Skip’ and ‘Stone’.
The Charity Commission website along with Companies House identifies two of them as Charlie Kye and James Ramsay William Osborne. The latter is also a trustee and director of ‘STAR: Student Action for Refugees’ (‘Refugees Welcome Here’) and has been a director of a climate change outfit. It would no surprise to find people adopting a fairly hard-left anti-Christian BBC-style stance all through ‘Gendered Intelligence’.
Christians and parents alike must stand watch. When truth is replaced by affirmation and care replaced by compliance, we must speak boldly for the innocent.
Jer 6:14 3 Defend the poor and fatherless: do justice to the afflicted and needy…Deliver the poor and needy: rid them out of the hand of the wicked.
The Ideology Enters Sport
From classrooms to locker rooms, the reach of this movement has been astonishing. Gendered Intelligence has advised the England and Wales Cricket Board, World Rugby, and British Gymnastics — all in the name of inclusion. But inclusion for whom?
As campaigners like Sex Matters director Fiona McAnena have warned, the organisation’s fingerprints are “all over sports policies” that undermine women’s safety. Even Sport England reportedly paid the charity to produce guidance that encouraged mixed changing facilities, guidance that ignored women’s concerns altogether.
Under this guidance, biological males identifying as women are permitted in female categories, changing rooms, and competitions. The cost to fairness, privacy, and security is staggering. Once again, the rights of the majority have been sacrificed to appease a vocal minority.
In a nation once proud of defending women and children, we now risk institutionalising their erasure.
Isa 3:12 Isaiah 3:12 As for my people, children are their oppressors, and women rule over them. O my people, they which lead thee cause thee to err, and destroy the way of thy paths.
Girlguiding and the Loss of Safeguarding
Even Girlguiding, once a beacon of moral leadership, has fallen under activist sway. Gendered Intelligence helped draft its “trans inclusion” policy — a document now facing legal challenge from a concerned parent who claims her daughter’s safety was compromised.
The policy allows biological males identifying as girls to share sleeping quarters, bathrooms, and changing areas with young female members. Girlguiding’s leadership insists the rules are “lawful,” but legality is not the same as morality. Scripture reminds us that what is ‘lawful’ in the eyes of fallen man is not always right in the sight of God.
Isa 55:8 For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither your ways my ways, saith the LORD. 9 For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts.
Such policies have created confusion and fear among parents, many of whom now question whether long-trusted organisations are safe spaces for their daughters. This is not progress — it is a moral regression cloaked in rainbow rhetoric.
In the name of equality, innocence is being surrendered. The Church must stand as a shield for those who cannot yet defend themselves.
Matt 18:6 But whoso shall offend one of these little ones which believe in me, it were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and that he were drowned in the depth of the sea.
The Silence of Our Institutions
While major public bodies are distancing themselves from Stonewall’s Diversity Champions Scheme, Gendered Intelligence has quietly stepped in to fill the void. With universities, councils, and broadcasters desperate to appear progressive, its influence has only grown stronger.
The BBC, Ofcom, and Channel 4 are among those eager to show their allegiance to “diversity and inclusion.” Yet what they truly display is moral cowardice — a refusal to defend truth when it becomes unpopular. The gospel of tolerance has replaced the Gospel of Christ.
Christian parents, teachers, and doctors now face increasing pressure to conform or stay silent. Those who hold to biblical truth about creation, gender, and family risk losing their jobs or facing public shame.
We must remember that light shines brightest in darkness. Silence is not an option when truth itself is under siege.
Eph 6:13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
Isa 5:20, Isa 59:14–15; Prov 31:8–9; Matt 6:24; Rom 1:18-32, Gala 6:7; Jhn 1:5 .

BBC director general and News CEO resign over Trump documentary edit
The BBC’s Director General Tim Davie and Head of News Deborah Turness have resigned. This follows revelations that a Panorama documentary misled viewers by editing a speech by the U.S. President Donald Trump.
The controversy, first reported by The Telegraph, had already exposed internal concerns about editorial bias and the broadcaster’s growing detachment from impartial journalism.
Mr. Davie’s resignation statement admitted that while “the BBC is not perfect,” the recent uproar had “understandably contributed” to his decision to step down. He conceded that “mistakes have been made,” and that as Director General, he must take “ultimate responsibility.”
Ms. Turness, who also resigned on Sunday night, acknowledged that the Panorama fallout had “reached a stage where it is causing damage to the BBC,” asserting that “the buck stops with me.” Yet, she dismissed claims that the broadcaster was “institutionally biased.”
Her defence, however, has done little to calm the storm. The resignation of two senior leaders signals not accountability but the collapse of public confidence in an institution long accused of manipulating narratives to suit ideological agendas.
Political reactions
Political reactions reflect the growing polarisation around the broadcaster. Liberal Democrat leader Sir Ed Davey called the resignations “an opportunity for the BBC to turn a new leaf,” but added: “The BBC isn’t perfect, but it remains one of the few institutions standing between our British values and a populist, Trump-style takeover of our politics.”
By contrast, Reform UK’s Nigel Farage demanded “wholesale change,” urging the government to appoint leadership with “a record of turning companies and their cultures around.” His words echoed a broader public sentiment, the BBC’s moral authority has eroded, and only radical reform—or even abolition of the licence fee—can restore trust.
Sir Ed, however, is the one who has let the cat out of the bag. His is an admission that the establishment see the BBC as their propaganda channel. By the way, ‘Our British values’ are said to be: ‘democracy, the rule of law, individual liberty, and mutual respect and tolerance of those with different faiths and beliefs’. The elite stitched them together and imposed them and the BBC promoted them. No-one voted for them. One very assertive religious demographic ignores them completely.
During Tim Davie’s time in charge, reports the Telegraph, both license-fee-payers and viewing figures have dropped while personnel have increased.
The Genesis
According to the Telegraph, a 19-page document, written by former BBC editorial adviser Michael Prescott, accuses executives of dismissing legitimate concerns from academics about biased historical narratives on slavery, colonialism, and the Irish famine. It also criticises the editing of Donald Trump’s speech in ‘that’ Panorama documentary.
Ironically, the BBC’s much-touted “fact-checkers” of ‘BBC Verify’ were silent when the deception came from within. It raises a profound question, who holds the watchdog to account when it becomes the propagandist? For an institution that frequently lectures the world about misinformation, this misrepresentation is deeply damaging.
Separately, BBC Arabic was found to have downplayed Israeli suffering in its Gaza coverage, allegedly rushing Hamas claims to air without verification.
Proverbs 17:15 He that justifieth the wicked, and he that condemneth the just, even they both are abomination to the Lord.
John 8:32 – “And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.
Another scandal now unfolds from within. A leaked memo also accuses the BBC’s internal culture of “effective censorship” on “transgender” reporting.
Michael Prescott revealed that certain “LGBT” correspondents refused to cover gender-critical stories, even when major developments, such as the closure of the Tavistock gender clinic which dominated national headlines.
These findings support long-standing allegations that gender ideology has silenced fair debate within Britain’s largest media institution. Such one-sided reporting, not only erodes the BBC’s impartiality but also gaslights the public on one of the most sensitive social issues of our time.
Isaiah 59:14 And judgment is turned away backward, and justice standeth afar off: for truth is fallen in the street.
Woke History and Rewritten Realities
The BBC has also been accused of presenting ideologically slanted versions of history, where issues such as empire, slavery, and famine are framed through a rigidly moralistic lens. Academics who questioned these portrayals were reportedly ridiculed, ignored or rebuked, suggesting a dismissive and activist editorial culture. Rather than encouraging open debate, executives dismissed dissenting voices as politically inconvenient.
The public expects its broadcaster to inform, not indoctrinate. By presenting contested interpretations as unchallengeable truth, the BBC risks turning education into ideology, a betrayal of its founding mission of intellectual balance.
The BBC’s fixation on guilt and grievance distorts Britain’s story, transforming historical study into a moral crusade. What was once education is now indoctrination.
Jeremiah 6:16 Stand ye in the ways, and see, and ask for the old paths, where is the good way, and walk therein.
In its haste to appear sympathetic to one side, the BBC abandoned basic principles of journalistic integrity.
Such skewed reporting has consequences, it fuels division, inflames antisemitism, and undermines trust in global media. When propaganda replaces balance, truth becomes the first casualty.
BBC Arabic and the Gaza Bias
The memo further alleges that BBC Arabic deliberately minimised Israeli suffering during the ongoing Gaza conflict.
According to internal whistleblowers, its coverage “painted Israel as the aggressor” while rushing unverified Hamas claims to air.
The claim that reports were structured to “paint Israel as the aggressor” is deeply troubling, especially given the BBC’s global influence.
The apparent readiness to believe the worst about Israel — while soft-pedalling the atrocities of Hamas — suggests not just negligence but a moral failing. This imbalance risks fueling antisemitism both in Britain and abroad.
Exodus 23:1 Thou shalt not raise a false report: put not thine hand with the wicked to be an unrighteous witness.
Institutional Bias and Cultural Capture
Beyond individual scandals, the BBC has undergone a slow ideological capture. Its worldview now aligns with left-liberal orthodoxy: pro-globalist, and instinctively hostile to traditional moral frameworks.
It platforms “respected experts” on the Left while labelling others “Right-wing.” It celebrates activism under the banner of diversity yet scorns religious conviction and patriotism.
This isn’t neutrality, it’s activism cloaked in public service. Britain’s taxpayers are funding a worldview, not a broadcaster.
Romans 1:22 Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools.
Self-righteous
To help us understand the BBC, Anita Singh reported on meeting Tim Davie three weeks ago at the Cheltenham Literature Festival. She said he saw the criticisms over the past 12 months as ‘unwarranted and politically motivated’. He was especially angry with her, the Telegraph’s Arts and Entertainment Editor, for her articles and for the Telegraph for breaking the ‘Trump-gate’ Panorama scandal.
In the same paper, Janet Daley writes that BBC executives and supporters really see it as ‘the nation’s only repository of honest, disinterested news coverage which, by its publicly-owned nature, sets a moral example to the private press whose coverage is dictated by partisan interests.’
She goes on to observe that BBC staff do not see themselves as ‘biased or politically one-sided’. Nor are they ‘defending one particular ideological camp in a fight for public opinion.’ They are secularists, not propagandists. ‘They sincerely believe that they are the defenders of virtue itself: that the causes and loyalties which they support are the embodiment of The Good in a sea of nastiness, prejudice and outright evil.’
Mrs Daley said they must never show shame or self-doubt when promoting their view. ‘They are the defenders of righteousness in a world bedevilled by wickedness and injustice. And that, I’m afraid, is what you are up against if you want to reform the BBC.’
A Call for Renewal
The BBC’s troubles, as revealed by Mr Prescott’s memo, The Telegraph’s investigation and journalists’ insights, are more than a public relations disaster, they are a crisis of moral authority.
The institution as a whole must choose between truth and ideology, transparency and control. Reform is not optional; it is urgent. Its current set of ‘values’ is now seen as laughable:
TRUST is the foundation of the BBC – we’re independent, impartial and truthful
We RESPECT each other – we’re kind, and we champion inclusivity
We are ACCOUNTABLE and deliver work of the highest quality
Until the BBC restores objectivity, Britain’s public service broadcaster will remain adrift — a once-great institution corrupted by the very biases it once sought to expose. It is good that we serve a God of miracles, is it not?
Psalm 94:20 – “Shall the throne of iniquity have fellowship with thee, which frameth mischief by a law?

Hills of the north, rejoice;
River and mountain spring,
Hark to the advent voice;
Valley and lowland, sing;
Though absent long, your Lord is nigh;
He judgment brings and victory.
Isles of the southern seas,
Deep in your coral caves
Pent be each warring breeze,
Lulled be your restless waves:
He comes to reign with boundless sway,
And makes your wastes His great highway.
Lands of the East, awake,
Soon shall your sons be free;
The sleep of ages break,
And rise to liberty.
On your far hills, long cold and grey,
Has dawned the everlasting day.
Charles Oakley became Rector of Holy Trinity Church, Wickwar in Gloucestershire in 1856.
Shores of the utmost West,
Ye that have waited long,
Unvisited, unblest,
Break forth to swelling song;
High raise the note, that Jesus died,
Yet lives and reigns, the Crucified.
Shout, while ye journey home;
Songs be in every mouth;
Lo, from the North we come,
From East, and West, and South.
City of God, the bond are free,
We come to live and reign in thee!
Text: Charles Edward Oakley, 1832-65
Music: Martin Shaw, Tune: Little Cornard, Meter: 6 6 6 6 8 8
Feel free to copy and paste Oakley’s words for your own congregation this Advent. Advent begins on Sunday 27th November this year (2016). It is a time of preparation for the coming of the Lord in the year-book of the Church of England, England’s established church. But you don’t have to be Anglican to sing it!
Charles Oakley’s life
Charles Edward Oakley M.A. was born near Chatham in Kent in 1832. He was educated at Rugby School and Pembroke College, Oxford, and then at Magdalen College as a Demy (scholar), he took a First Class in Literae Humaniores (Greek and Latin literature and philosophy) in 1854, and a First Class in Law and Modern History (1855), when he was also Johnson Theological Scholar (1855).
He entered Holy Orders in 1855 and served as a chaplain to the army in the Crimean War (1855). He became rector of Wickwar, Gloucestershire (1856-63) and then later Rector of St. Paul’s, Covent Garden, London in 1863.
He died at Abergele, near Rhyl, North Wales on 15th September 1865 after a tragically short incumbency. In short, Oakley was a very clever as well as a holy young man.
His fine Missionary hymn, “Hills of the north, rejoice,” appeared in Bp. T. V. French’s Hymns adapted to the Christian Seasons, and the Hymnal Companion in 1870. (John Julian, Dictionary of Hymnology, Appendix, Part II (1907)) The tune now associated with the hymn, Little Cornard, was written by composer Martin Shaw in 1915.
Beware of the modern version!
Above are C.E.Oakley’s original words. The modern version of this hymn (scroll down in the link) still carries an advent message, but uncomfortable notions like ‘judgment’ and ‘victory’ have been expunged. Jesus becomes a personal saviour who doesn’t reign any more. In the last verse, ‘they’ come, not ‘we’. And rather than ‘live and reign’, with all the responsibility and action that implies, ‘they … find their rest’. Maybe the Victorian sentiments are politically incorrect these days, but Oakley captured the majesty of Christ and created something singable and uplifting, an inspiring hymn full of hope and destiny.
Based solidly on scripture
There is some Victorian romanticism in the Southern Seas and so on, but even there the hymn is inspired. The rhymes and construction are simply faultless. Each verse has its four lines of geography and its final two lines of triumphant theology. Note the hymn has nothing to do with British imperialism. Oakley was not imagining himself in Gloucestershire but in Jerusalem, in the ‘City of God’.
The scripture message he had in mind starts in the Psalms:
Psalm 107:1 O give thanks unto the LORD, for he is good: for his mercy endureth for ever. 2 Let the redeemed of the LORD say so, whom he hath redeemed from the hand of the enemy; 3 And gathered them out of the lands, from the east, and from the west, from the north, and from the south.
In Isaiah (and in Jeremiah) it becomes a promise to regather Israel:
Isaiah 43:5 Fear not: for I am with thee: I will bring thy seed from the east, and gather thee from the west; 6 I will say to the north, Give up; and to the south, Keep not back: bring my sons from far, and my daughters from the ends of the earth; (cf Jer 16:14-15, 23:7-8, 31:8)
Finally, in the Gospel, our Lord himself applies the great gathering to his believers:
Luke 13:29 And they shall come from the east, and from the west, and from the north, and from the south, and shall sit down in the kingdom of God.
That is what the hymn is about. More could be written on it.

Now what in Britain today could be so important that HM and HRH would attend an event together? What is their top priority in a nation in turmoil? Antisemitism on our streets? People unable to afford skyrocketing energy bills? The scandal of welfare stripping a generation of their dignity? De-industrialisation throwing steel workers on the scrapheap? The death-worshipping Euthanasia Bill? The grooming gangs scandal? The collapse of our Christian culture? The looming Muslim invasion?
What is their top priority?
On no! It’s Climate Change!
The Mail revealed the gig was at London’s Natural History Museum, the Cathedral of Evolution, no less. Sky News said it was ‘an environmental engagement’.
Looking closer, The Telegraph’s actual article went on: ‘Father and son attend a ‘Countdown to Cop30’ reception ahead of the climate summit in November’.
It was the elitists’ climate scam that was so important to the two of them, a plush event laid on for the green blob. Or as the Palace website put it: for ‘changemakers, business leaders, and climate ambassadors from around the world’.
Watch this story (or most of it) on Rumble:
HM skipping the climate Jamboree
His Majesty is skipping the ‘Conference of Parties’ Jamboree in Brazil on 6th and 7tth November this year. But not because he has realised the world depends on carbon dioxide, that the climate scare is a money-making hoax, that ordinary people have had enough of being told what vehicles to buy and how to heat their homes and paying through the nose for green levies to support the green blob, and that repeal of the UK’s unbiblical Climate Change Act is now just a matter of time.
Nor because he has read what the Lord tells rulers like him: Ezek 45:9 Thus saith the Lord GOD; Let it suffice you, O princes of Israel: remove violence and spoil, and execute judgment and justice, take away your exactions from my people, saith the Lord GOD.
HM may not be going, but he who has seen the son has seen the father, as we read: ‘Prince William will attend the global conference in Belem, on the Amazon Delta, on behalf of his father and will deliver a speech.’
King’s history in climate scaremongering
Prince Charles (as he then was) calling for a ‘war-like footing’ at COP26 in Glasgow in 2021
The King has history in climate scaremongering. He addressed his first Cop summit in 2009, as Prince of Wales. That was in Copenhagen at Cop15. He warned global leaders that the ‘eyes of the world’ were upon them. Probably in envy at all the fine dining.
At Cop26 in Glasgow, in 2021, as HRH Prince Charles, the king claimed a ‘war-like footing’ was needed to tackle what he called ‘the climate crisis’. He went on to tell the assembled dignitaries including UK PM Boris Johnson and UN Secretary-General (‘World is Boiling’) António Guterres, ‘We know this will take trillions, not billions, of dollars’.
Charles went on: ‘Here we need a vast military-style campaign to harness the power of the private sector.’
There is a word for a political system where politicians recruit the private sector to do their bidding through a combination of political alliances with economic elites, corporatism, state control (dirigism) over economic activity, and financial incentives in exchange for loyalty to the state’s goals. Like it or not, it’s not called ‘partnership’ with ‘stakeholders’, it’s simply called fascism.
Bible opposes king’s fascist dream
In contrast, the biblical model is for the state to maintain order while economic activity depends on small-scale family businesses: 1Kings 4:25 And Judah and Israel dwelt safely, every man under his vine and under his fig tree, from Dan even to Beersheba, all the days of Solomon.
Scripture objects to state control and monopolies. The prophet pronounces: Isaiah 5:8 Woe unto them that join house to house, that lay field to field, till there be no place, that they may be placed alone in the midst of the earth!
In 1Sam chapter 8:11-17, the prophet Samuel warned the people against the arrogance and ambitions of kings: 1Sam 8:11 … He will take your sons, and appoint them for himself, for his chariots, and to be his horsemen; … 13 And he will take your daughters to be confectionaries, and to be cooks, and to be bakers. 14 And he will take your fields, and your vineyards, and your oliveyards, even the best of them, and give them to his servants. 15 And he will take the tenth of your seed, and of your vineyards, and give to his officers, and to his servants. 16 … take your menservants, and your maidservants, and your goodliest young men, and your asses, … 17 He will take the tenth of your sheep: and ye shall be his servants.
And the Prince of Wales joins in

That is in all honesty the oppressive, fascist system Charles was proposing at COP26. And at COP30, according to GBNews, Prince William was on the same page, moaning to Ed Miliband and Sir Keir Starmer that ‘major corporations are failing to demonstrate sufficient bravery in addressing environmental challenges’.
GBNews said: ‘During his five-day visit for the Earthshot Prize ceremony and Cop30 climate summit, the Prince of Wales is thought to have expressed profound disappointment with private industry’s lukewarm response to the climate emergency.
‘The prince urged the corporate world to “step up to the plate”, highlighting widespread hesitancy among businesses to engage meaningfully with environmental initiatives. His frustration stems from observing that numerous companies remain unwilling to participate actively in climate solutions.’
Just who does he think he is, telling private companies to do the establishment’s bidding, Benito Mussolini?
The Bible opposes them all and extols liberty:
Psa 119:45 And I will walk at liberty: for I seek thy precepts. Matt 20:15a Is it not lawful for me to do what I will with mine own?
Cop26 should have been held in 2020 but it was postponed owing to the COVID-19 panic. Instead, Charles spent that year promoting the World Economic Forum’s Great Reset, alongside his pal Klaus Schwab, the UN Secretary-General António Guterres, the head of the IMF, the President of Microsoft, BP, Mastercard and so on.
Charles launches the World Economic Forum’s ‘Great Reset’ in 2020.
‘There is a golden opportunity to seize something good from this crisis. Its unprecedented shockwaves may well make people more receptive to big visions of change. Global crises like pandemics and climate change know no borders, and highlight how interdependent we are as one people sharing one planet.’
‘As we move from rescue to recovery, we have a unique but rapidly shrinking window of opportunity to learn lessons and reset ourselves on a more sustainable path. … We must use all the levers we have at our disposal, knowing that each and every one of us has a vital role to play.’ The ‘levers’ are once again that dirigist system of forcing the ‘more receptive’ people to do what the globalists want.
’More and more pandemics’
In a SkyNews Australia video, Charles is heard (at 3:56 – 4:08) warning: ‘Unless we take the action necessary, and we build again in a greener and more sustainable and more inclusive way, then we will end up having more and more pandemics.’
Still from the WEF Great Reset video
Will we indeed? A recent article of ours showed how Germany is ramping up mRNA production just as Bill Gates is funding research on making Bird Flu transmissible to human. In the video, Charles goes on to threaten ‘disasters from global warming and climate change’. Those of course have been promised by climate fanatics for decades and are taking rather a long time to manifest themselves.
And if you remember the WEF promo video, you will be happy and you will own nothing. Because after the Great Reset, they would own it all. Thankfully, by the grace of God, it is not going to happen:
Psa 2:4 He that sitteth in the heavens shall laugh: the Lord shall have them in derision.
Earthshot Prize latest edition
Prince William at a previous ‘Earthshot Prize’
The day before the COP extravaganza, on 5th November 2025, in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, Prince William will be basking in the latest edition of the Earthshot Prize.’
The event will be held, naturally, at Brazil’s ‘Museum of Tomorrow’. And then His Royal Highness will fly off to the Amazon to join 70,000 other elitists jetting in to COP30. A BBC report reveals that the globalists have felled around 100,000 trees in prime rainforest to build an 8-mile long 4-lane highway called Avenida Liberdade (Freedom Avenue). The need for the new highway is not clear from any of the reports. Belem airport is to the north of the city, nowhere near the new road.
’Repair our planet’?
On his royalfoundation.com website, someone speaking for the Prince writes: ‘The Prize will incentivise change and help to repair our planet over the next ten years – a critical decade for the Earth.’
The Earthshot Prize has five categories: ‘Protect and Restore Nature, Clean our Air, Revive our Oceans, Build a Waste-free World and Fix our Climate.’
The Bible shows mankind as over the earth but by implication custodians of it: Gen 1:28 And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.
Out of that, we should agree with protecting nature, without going gooey-eyed about bats and newts, having clean air to breathe and reducing waste.
Astonishing hubris
But what (it’s tempting to say ‘what on earth’) does the Prince mean by ‘Revive our Oceans’ and above all by ‘Repair our Planet’? He uses the expression all the time, as do the commentators. For example: ‘Prince William and Sir David Attenborough Join Forces to Repair the Planet by 2030 With £50 Million Prize.’ An allied expression, and the subject of one of the five prizes, is ‘Fix the Climate’. But the Prince never actually defines or explains what needs ‘repairing’ or ‘fixing’ by 2030. Maybe the earth’s clutch is wearing out? Or something needs welding? Who knows? Or is it, a cynical thought maybe, just a catchy slogan, a ‘thing of nought’?
Jer 14:14 Then the LORD said unto me, The prophets prophesy lies in my name: I sent them not, neither have I commanded them, neither spake unto them: they prophesy unto you a false vision and divination, and a thing of nought, and the deceit of their heart.
The plain fact is, mortal man cannot begin to comprehend the oceans, the climate or their interaction. The entire system was set in place by God himself and it is all sustained by his wisdom and his law-word. The Bible says: Job 26:12 He divideth the sea with his power, and by his understanding he smiteth through the proud.
(See also: Deut 32:28; Job 26:12, 38:4; Prov 8:27-30; Isa 55:9; Luke 12:54,55; Heb 1:3.)
It follows that pretending to be able to ‘’revive the oceans’ and ‘fix the climate’ is astonishing hubris and stupidity. The project can only appeal to those who have left off to take heed to the Lord. In a sign that the light is dawning, the judges even abandoned the absurd ‘fix our climate’ goal this year in favour of a resilience project.
Sir David Attenborough at Davos telling Prince William the and delegates the world is doomed.
HRH launched his vanity Earthshot project in 2020 inevitably at the World Economic Forum alongside that man who believes human beings are a plague on the earth, the evolutionist, atheist and climate scaremonger Sir David Attenborough.’
Human beings are made in the image of God
Here is another David, King David, writing in the Bible, in Psalm 41: Psalm 41:1 Blessed is he that considereth the poor: the LORD will deliver him in time of trouble.
While in the book of Proverbs which follows the psalms: Prov 29:7 The righteous considereth the cause of the poor: but the wicked regardeth not to know it.
Human beings are not a plague, we are made in the image of God: Gen 1:27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.
Royalty especially should be very aware of what it is written about bad company: 1Cor 15:33 Be not deceived: evil communications corrupt good manners.
Badly advised
King Charles with (Sir) David Beckham
His Majesty and His Royal Highness have been badly advised: Prov 25:5 Take away the wicked from before the king, and his throne shall be established in righteousness.
So please pray for humble, truthful, honest, God-fearing men prepared to challenge preconceptions to come alongside them. Pray that by the grace of God they might become men whose first thought is the prosperity of their people, rather than that of the elite, the luvvies, the monied and the wokerati they have become used to rubbing shoulders with.
Prince William and Jacinda Ardern at, once again, the World Economic Forum in Davos
Again by the grace of God, as Daily Sceptic reports, the wheels are beginning to come off the Net Zero fantasy project. A US report has rubbished the ‘settled science’ dogma, a US journal has accidentally published its first-ever climate sceptical article, fewer and fewer nations are willing to commit to the sort of policies which will please the green lobbyists, while last year, the president of COP29 in hydrocarbon-rich Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev praised oil and gas as “gifts from God”.
And, you would need a heart of stone not to laugh, but Oatly’s ‘climate doom’ marketing has seen sales plummet. The heavily-engineered, water-intensive, pretend-milk product has bombed. ‘No-one likes being lectured by their latte’ observed Lee Taylor in Daily Sceptic. ‘Commerce works best when it’s honest,’ he observed, drily.
Meanwhile, here in the UK, the Government has admitted to spending a fortune in taxpayers’ money on overseas botched climate projects.
The Belem Highway destroyed 100,000 trees for no discernable purpose.
Even those involved in the new road cited above are accused of ‘greenwashing’. The Indy reports Kemi Badenoch has challenged the Prime Minister to “find the backbone to ditch Ed Miliband’s net zero fanaticism” and renew drilling in the North Sea, while the Guardian is horrified that both the Conservatives and Reform are ready to repeal the 2008 Climate Change Act.
Can HM & HRH be ‘admonished’?
If either (or both) of those parties find themselves in office after the next general election, which Mr Farage believes could come as soon as 2027, the King could find himself with ministers opposed to the climate catastrophe view he seems to have held for rather too long. In such an event, and in any case, we pray he has the humility to accept the new advice.
The Bible says: Eccl 4:13 Better is a poor and a wise child than an old and foolish king, who will no more be admonished.
Is His Majesty that king? If so, if he desires honour, it’s time for humility: Prov 15:33 The fear of the LORD is the instruction of wisdom; and before honour is humility.
WRITE TO THE KING: ‘His Majesty The King, Buckingham Palace, London, SW1A 1AA’. You can open with ‘Sir’ (although I write: ‘May it please Your Majesty’) and close the letter with the form ‘I have the honour to be, Sir, Your Majesty’s humble and obedient servant’.
WRITE TO THE PRINCE OF WALES: ‘HRH The Prince of Wales, Clarence House, London, SW1A 1BA’ (Neither HM nor HRH receive correspondence by email.)
