Who Approved the ‘Trans Pride Flag’ at This Council?

0
Ipswich Borough Council,
Ipswich Borough Council,

A Labour-controlled council is facing mounting criticism after announcing plans to fly a ‘trans-inclusive Pride flag’ outside its town hall for 30 days every year until 2030.

This move breaches political neutrality laws and promotes a highly contested ideological position on sex and gender.

Ipswich Borough Council says it intends to raise the ‘Progress Pride flag’ annually, despite objections from women’s rights organisations who argue the gesture violates the Local Government Act 1986, which requires local authorities to avoid political campaigning.

Isaiah 5:20 Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness.

Stop Transgenderism Now!

“Nothing neutral about ‘pride’ flags”

Susan Smith, co-director of For Women Scotland, has condemned the council’s proposal, describing the flag as “not neutral” and warning that it represents “an adherence to an anti-scientific position on sex and gender”.

Fiona McAnena, director of campaigns for the sex-based rights charity Sex Matters, echoed those concerns, stating that councils should not fly symbols that demonstrate allegiance to what she called “a highly contested ideology, that of transgenderism”.

“This goes much further than normal support for gay rights,” she said. “Elected councillors and local authority officials have a public duty to treat everyone fairly, but flying this flag signals that the council favours all things LGBTQ+, since that’s what the flag represents.”

She added that the symbolism sends a chilling message to women and others who raise legitimate concerns about the erosion of sex-based protections.

“It has been obvious for years that some trans demands are not compatible with women’s rights,” McAnena said. “Here’s a local authority flying the flag that says, in effect, women’s rights don’t matter.”

Her concerns follow an April 2025 Supreme Court ruling that confirmed sex under the Equality Act refers to biological sex.

Public bodies and businesses are now awaiting fresh guidance from the Equality and Human Rights Commission explaining their legal duties to protect single-sex spaces in light of the ruling.

Leviticus 18:22 Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination.

The Council’s Response

John Cook, portfolio holder for communities on Ipswich Borough Council, defended the proposal, saying: “It’s never been an issue in the years we’ve flown the flag. There’s no cost to taxpayers here.”

However, that cost is not the central concern, principle is.

They claim that councils exist to provide services, not to signal ideological alignment or enter into culture-war symbolism that divides communities and marginalises those who hold traditional or faith-based views.

A pattern repeating across Britain

Council Boss Defies Reform Leadership Over "Pride" Flag
Council Boss Defies Reform Leadership Over “Pride” Flag

Ipswich is not alone. In recent years, several councils across the UK have faced backlash for flying ideological flags or adopting “inclusive” policies that overstep lawful boundaries and silence dissent.

In May 2024, Westminster City Council was criticised for ‘Pride flag displays’ without proper consultation. In another case, a London borough removed a ‘Progress Pride flag’ following legal advice that it could be interpreted as political messaging.

Also, a council in Derbyshire removed a ‘Pride flag’ following complaints from Christians in the area. Meanwhile, In Kent, the new Reform led council pledged to stop flying Pride and other flags, prompting debate about council neutrality and political flag policies.

In the North East of England, a High Court ruled that Northumbria Police breached impartiality by marching under a ‘Progress Pride flag’ at a ‘Pride march’. The court heard that The chief constable of Northumbria police was wrong to allow officers to carry a symbol promoting transgender ideology.

These controversies point to a broader trend: local authorities increasingly using public spaces to advance ideological positions rather than serve the whole community impartially.

This trajectory reflects a nation drifting further from its Christian heritage and moral foundations.

Proverbs 14:34 Righteousness exalteth a nation: but sin is a reproach to any people.

A call to repentance and truth

The growing push back against the council’s plan reflects a wider unease among the public about the aggressive promotion of gender ideology through state institutions.

Christians are urged not to remain silent.

Galatians 6:7 Be not deceived: God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.

What is at stake is not merely a flag on a pole, but the question of whether truth, biological reality, and God’s design for humanity will continue to be acknowledged in public life — or replaced by ever-shifting ideologies that deny both science and Scripture.

As Britain grapples with these profound moral questions, many believers are praying for repentance, wisdom, and a return to the unchanging truth of God’s Word.

Nanosermon Script:

Do you want to experience the blessing of God? Then let’s look at how doing two very simple things leads to a blessing. Here is the second verse of Psalm one hundred and nineteen:

Psalm 119:2 Blessed are they that keep his testimonies, and that seek him with the whole heart.

This verse, like all the first eight verses of this great Psalm, begins with the Hebrew letter ‘Aleph’, the first letter of the Hebrew alphabet. So what is the first word of it? Well, just as in verse one, it’s ‘Ash-er’, which means ‘blessed’ or bless-ed’ and also ‘happy’.

A second blessing

There was a blessing in verse one for the undefiled in the way who walk in the law of the LORD. And now we get what the great nineteenth-century preacher Charles Spurgeon described as a second blessing, in verse two.

How do we get this blessing? Firstly, we keep the testimonies of God. Testimony is another word for witness. God’s witness, or his testimony, refers to his word and his commandments.

Spurgeon went on: ‘Blessedness is ascribed to those who treasure up the testimonies of the Lord: in which is implied that they search the Scriptures, that they come to an understanding of them, that they love them, and then that they continue in the practice of them.

‘We must first get a thing before we can keep it. In order to keep it well we must get a firm grip of it: we cannot keep in the heart that which we have not heartily embraced by the affections.’

Seek him with your whole heart

So we study and treasure God’s word and we love it and keep to it. Then the Psalmist says God’s blessing comes upon those who do not just ‘keep his testimonies’, but ‘that seek him with the whole heart’.

We have an English expression ‘whole-heartedly’. You don’t find anyone who is going to be a truly great sportsman cutting corners in the gym or on the track. You don’t find anyone who is going to be a great entrepreneur giving up at the first hurdle. Those who aren’t whole-hearted won’t succeed.

British statesman Winston Churchill said: ‘It’s no use saying, “We are doing our best.” You have to succeed by doing what is necessary.’

Whoever will seek God with intensity and determination will find him. I guess whatever you seek whole-heartedly you will find. You can seek fame, riches, thrills, attention, notoriety, whatever. But you’ll have no peace, no fulfilment, no authenticity, no joy, no happiness, until you seek – and find – God.

Not in pagan false gods

To complicate matters, people try to seek God in all sorts of ways. Spurgeon observed that people seek God ‘Among the trees, the hills, the planets, the stars. He has been sought in his own defaced image, man. He has been sought amid the mysterious wheels of Providence.’

Today, we can add to Spurgeon’s list of pagan false gods the occult, spiritualism, pan-theistic paths like yoga and hinduism, the buddhist nirvana, Islam – and the list goes on.

But actually, God must be sought – and can only be found – in the person of Jesus Christ, born as a baby, walking amongst us, dying on Calvary’s hill, buried and rising again, ascended and glorified. Make no mistake, there is no other name by which we must – or can – be saved.

A personal quest

Yours is a personal quest to find a personal God and that personal God is found in the Lord Jesus. So seek him in prayer, calling out to him to reveal himself to you and to show you what to do. Just don’t muck about. This is not a place for half-heartedness. If you keep half your heart in some other camp you’ll never find the Lord. But if you do it all with your whole heart, that is keep his testimonies, and seek him, you will both find him and receive his blessing. Others have done it. This is your time to realise that you can too!

Two verses, two blessings! Can it get any better in verse three? Actually, it can. No spoilers! You just wait and see. And share this Nanosermon.

NHS Midwives Record “Gender Identity” and “Sexual Orientation” of Newborn Babies

NHS Midwives Record “Gender Identity” and “Sexual Orientation” of Newborn Babies

Midwives within NHS hospitals are now being instructed to record the “gender identity,” “pronouns,” and even “sexual orientation” of newborn babies. This is an extraordinary development that has provoked outrage and disbelief.

According to The Daily Sceptic , under a newly adopted £450 million digital patient record system called Epic, hospitals are using default registration templates that ask ideological questions wholly incompatible with infancy.

This represents not merely administrative confusion, but the institutionalisation of gender ideology into the very first official record of human life.

How to Join or Support Christian Voice→

Midwife raises alarm

One midwife at Torbay and South Devon NHS Foundation Trust was brave enough to blow the whistle, saying staff are “worried” by the forms, but don’t want to raise the issue with NHS managers.

She described being “shocked” during training to discover there was no straightforward option to record a baby’s biological sex. Instead, staff were presented with fields for “assigned sex at birth” alongside identity-based categories.

The midwife warned that these records form the backbone of a child’s legal and medical existence, following them for life and underpinning birth certification. That such foundational documentation now prioritises ideology over observable biological reality has been described as deeply troubling.

Proverbs 12:22 Lying lips are abomination to the Lord: but they that deal truly are his delight.

Ask us to come and speak at your church →

Foreign software, foreign values

The Epic system is produced by US technology giant Epic Systems and has been rolled out across at least ten NHS trusts, including major London hospitals such as King’s College Hospital and Guy’s and St Thomas’.

Rather than customising the software for newborn clinical reality, NHS trusts appear to have imported ideological fields directly from American templates.

Experts have condemned the decision to embed concepts such as “gender identity” into neonatal records as “farcical,” warning that the NHS has adopted activist categories without any serious ethical or biological scrutiny.
Psalm 11:3 If the foundations be destroyed, what can the righteous do?

NHS Midwives Record “Gender Identity” and “Sexual Orientation” of Newborn Babies
NHS Midwives Record “Gender Identity” and “Sexual Orientation” of Newborn Babies

Beyond identity labels, the Epic system also requires staff to complete an “organ inventory,” listing organs present at birth, organs currently possessed, surgically constructed organs, and hormonally altered organs.

This mechanistic and experimental framing treats the human body as a malleable construction project rather than an integrated creation.

The language reflects a worldview in which biology is negotiable and human design is open to endless revision—directly contradicting the Christian understanding of purposeful creation.

Psalm 139:14 I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made.

Quiet clamp down

In 2023, NHS officials claimed the system would be updated to record biological sex only after complaints from frontline staff. Yet the underlying problem remains: NHS leadership approved the purchase and deployment of a system containing these ideological assumptions in the first place.

No senior figures have accepted responsibility. Instead, Britain’s national health service appears to be drifting further into cultural experimentation while parents, clinicians, and children bear the consequences. What should be a moment of joy, the recording of new life, has become yet another battlefield in an ideological war against created truth.

Numbers 32:23 Be sure your sin will find you out.

A health service or gender war zone?

In August 2024, NHS staff at multiple hospitals in England were told they must check whether all patients aged 12 to 55 are pregnant, regardless of their sex. But the NHS claimed it was part of its ‘inclusivity policy’.

The guidance, which followed an incident where a ‘transgender man’ unknowingly underwent a CT scan while pregnant, required staff to ask about pregnancy status without making assumptions about a patient’s gender identity.

Some hospitals even went further, asking patients to complete forms stating their sex at birth, preferred name and pronouns.

With the chaos and ideological confusion engulfing the NHS in recent years, many Britons are now asking unavoidable questions: Who is really directing policy inside the health service? And why does the NHS appear willing to sidestep the Supreme Court’s judgment on gender in favour of imported ideology?

Why Regulators Kept AstraZeneca Despite Heart Risk Data

Covid-19 Jab

The AstraZeneca Covid vaccine has remained in use despite over 48,000 reports of heart conditions to the UK drug regulator, an Freedom of Information investigation has revealed.

The AstraZeneca jab was triumphantly paraded by then Prime Minister Boris Johnson in 2020 as a supposed “triumph for British science,” rapidly elevated into the backbone of the UK’s Covid vaccination programme before long-term safety questions had been settled.

Yet within weeks of its rollout in January 2021, serious alarm bells began to ring. Reports emerged linking the vaccine to potentially fatal blood clots and heart-related complications. These were not fringe concerns, but signals that would eventually prove grave enough for the jab to be withdrawn entirely, a fact rarely acknowledged with the same fanfare that accompanied its launch.

The Newly disclosed documents, obtained by GB News, now expose the troubling scale of adverse reactions reported after the vaccine was deployed.

Crucially, they also reveal that while the public was being reassured, private discussions were already underway inside the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency about emerging safety risks.

The files show that in 2021 alone, the MHRA received 48,472 reports of heart disorders linked to the vaccine.

On the 22nd of January, the MHRA dismissed these figures and said the true number of spontaneous heart problems reported linked to the vaccine was almost four times lower at a total of 13,010.

interestingly, MHRA’s spokesman who has lost touch with reality could not explain the difference. He said: “We are currently reviewing previously released figures in more detail to identify any potential discrepancies.”

“Risks were explicitly acknowledged”

Minutes from the Commission on Human Medicines’ COVID-19 Vaccines Benefit-Risk Expert Working Group only published three years later, in 2024 confirm that these risks were explicitly acknowledged. Yet the group chose not to issue any public warning, deciding instead that the evidence was “not sufficient” to justify alerting the population. More troubling still, the same minutes show that concern for public confidence and fears about increasing so-called “vaccine hesitancy” weighed heavily in the discussion, suggesting that managing public perception was prioritised over fully informed consent.

82-year-old Brian Pinker is the first person in the UK to receive the Oxford / AstraZeneca vaccine - but was it ethically produced?
82-year-old Brian Pinker is the first person in the UK to receive the Oxford / AstraZeneca vaccine – but was it ethically produced?

This quiet caution in Whitehall stood in stark contrast to events elsewhere. By March 2021, a growing list of countries had already suspended or restricted the AstraZeneca jab precisely because of blood-clotting fears. Sweden, France, the Netherlands, Denmark, Germany, Italy, Spain, Cyprus, Luxembourg, and Portugal all took decisive action. The question that now demands an answer is why the UK pressed on regardless, ignoring international warning signs while keeping its own public largely in the dark.

Court cases

Families across the UK and around the world have taken legal action against AstraZeneca, alleging that the company’s Covid-19 vaccine caused deaths, catastrophic injuries, and life-altering heart and blood conditions.

In Britain, dozens of bereaved relatives and injured patients have pursued claims under the Vaccine Damage Payment Scheme and through civil litigation, arguing that their loved ones developed fatal blood clots, myocarditis, strokes, or severe neurological conditions shortly after receiving the jab. Many say they were never warned about these risks, and that official reassurances at the time directly contradicted what internal safety discussions now appear to show.

One of the most damning developments came when AstraZeneca itself acknowledged in legal filings that its vaccine can, in rare cases, cause a condition known as Vaccine-Induced Immune Thrombotic Thrombocytopenia (VITT), a disorder involving dangerous blood clots and low platelets, a risk they always knew but shielded.

Meanwhile, in April 2023, a widower took legal actions against AstraZeneca over vaccine complications that led to his wife’s death. Gareth Eve alleged that the vaccine was a ‘defective product’ and ‘unsafe.’

A coroner concluded in August 2021 that his wife Lisa, died from a rare condition called vaccine-induced thrombotic thrombocytopenia, which is linked to vaccination. According to her husband, Lisa was fine until she took the shot.

For grieving families, this admission has only deepened anger, as it appears to confirm what they had been saying from the beginning: that their relatives did not die “with Covid,” nor from mysterious natural causes, but from an adverse reaction linked to a product aggressively promoted as safe.

Luke 5:31 And Jesus answering said unto them, They that are whole need not a physician; but they that are sick.

Outside the UK

Similar lawsuits have emerged in Europe, North America, and Australia, with claimants describing strikingly consistent patterns of sudden collapse, clotting disorders, heart inflammation, and rapid deterioration following vaccination.

In several cases, coroners have recorded vaccine-related complications as a cause or contributing factor in death. Yet many families report years of delays, legal stonewalling, and an exhausting battle to have their cases taken seriously.

In the United States, a former teacher from Utah, Brianne Dressen, sued AstraZeneca after claiming she was left permanently disabled following participation in a vaccine trial, alleging severe neurological conditions developed shortly after inoculation

These legal actions expose a wider moral failure: that governments and pharmaceutical giants pushed ahead with mass vaccination while downplaying known risks, silencing dissent, and marginalising those who reported harm.

For the families left behind, the issue is no longer just about compensation, it is about truth, accountability, and whether human lives were quietly treated as collateral damage in the race to protect policy decisions and corporate reputations.

Psalm 139:14 I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well.

MSP Pulls Support from Assisted Suicide Bill

Audrey Nicoll MSP has announced her withdrawal of support for Liam McArthur’s assisted suicide Bill.

Audrey Nicoll MSP has publicly withdrawn her backing for Liam McArthur’s assisted suicide legislation, dealing a significant blow to a Bill that has already divided Holyrood. Her decision follows months of scrutiny and reflection, shaped in large part by her professional background and experience with vulnerable individuals at the sharpest edges of society.

The former police officer and current convener of the Scottish Parliament’s Criminal Justice Committee, said her work with those most at risk had convinced her that any loosening of the law would inevitably expose some people to pressure to end their own lives. She warned that safeguards written on paper are often powerless against subtle coercion in real life.

The Assisted Dying for Terminally Ill Adults (Scotland) Bill passed its first parliamentary hurdle by 70 votes to 56. However, several MSPs made clear they supported the Bill only to allow further debate, not because they were persuaded by its moral or legal foundations. With Nicoll’s withdrawal, just six more MSPs changing position would be enough to halt the Bill at its next vote.

Proverbs 31:8–9 Open thy mouth for the dumb in the cause of all such as are appointed to destruction.

Pressure Behind Closed Doors

Audrey Nicoll MSP has announced her withdrawal of support for Liam McArthur’s assisted suicide Bill.
Audrey Nicoll MSP has announced her withdrawal of support for Liam McArthur’s assisted suicide Bill.

In an open letter to colleagues, the SNP warned that the Bill underestimates the reality of coercion. She stressed that pressure to opt for assisted suicide may not always be overt, but could arise through emotional dependency, financial strain, family exhaustion, or a perceived duty to relieve others of a burden.

She cautioned that international experience shows how quickly such laws expand beyond their original intent. What begins as a narrow measure for the terminally ill often evolves into broader eligibility, weaker oversight, and a shifting cultural message about whose lives are considered worth living.

The MSP also highlighted her concern that post-legislative scrutiny would be inadequate. Once the law is changed and deaths occur, safeguards cannot be retroactively repaired. In her view, Parliament would be gambling with lives it has a duty to protect.

Isaiah 59:14–15 Judgment is turned away backward… and he that departeth from evil maketh himself a prey.

Return to the UK’s Christian Constitution →

Cracks in the Case

Support for the Bill has continued to erode as proposed amendments have repeatedly been rejected.

Other MSPs have echoed these concerns. Deputy First Minister Kate Forbes, Conservative MSP Edward Mountain, and Labour’s Michael Marra have all criticised the refusal to accept what they described as reasonable and necessary amendments. They warned that the Bill risks serious consequences for disabled people, the elderly, and those with complex needs.

A cross-party group of parliamentarians recently cautioned that Scotland could drift toward a system in which people feel driven to die through the NHS because adequate care, dignity and support to live are no longer reliably available.

Isaiah 5:20 Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil.

“Healers to Agents of Death”

Assisted dying: UdeMNouvelles
Assisted dying: UdeMNouvelles

Opposition to the Bill is not confined to politicians. Medical, legal and disability professionals have repeatedly raised the alarm. We at Christian Voice have raised serious concerns.

Dr Gordon Macdonald, Chief Executive of Care Not Killing, said concern is growing within Holyrood that the Bill may not even be legally competent — a view reportedly shared by Scotland’s Health Secretary, Neil Gray.

Macdonald warned that without clarity from Westminster and amid mounting internal dissent, the Bill is entering “troubled waters”. He noted that similar laws elsewhere have expanded in scope, leaving vulnerable people exposed to irreversible decisions made under pressure.

Many palliative care specialists have also argued that assisted suicide undermines trust in medicine, shifting doctors from healers to agents of death, and risks diverting attention and funding away from end-of-life care that affirms life rather than ending it.

Matthew 9:12 They that be whole need not a physician, but they that are sick.

A Moral Line

Audrey Nicoll’s decision has sharpened the moral stakes of the debate. At its heart lies a simple question: will Scotland respond to suffering by offering death, or by strengthening care, compassion and solidarity? Once the state authorises killing as a solution, it crosses a line that cannot easily be uncrossed.

For Christians, the answer is clear. Human life does not lose its value through illness, disability or dependency. Laws shape culture, and a law that legitimises assisted suicide inevitably teaches that some lives are expendable.

As this Bill edges closer to its decisive vote, MSPs face not only a political choice, but a moral reckoning, one that will define how Scotland treats its weakest citizens.

John 1:5 And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.

BIBLE READING PLAN →

Watch this nanosermon here:

Nanosermon Script:

It’s the longest psalm in the Bible, and it’s going to empower you to live a victorious and blessed life. And here is the very first verse of Psalm one hundred and nineteen:

Psalm 119:1 ALEPH. Blessed are the undefiled in the way, who walk in the law of the LORD. (KJV)

Well, that sets the stall out, doesn’t it? Here we have the first verse of a Psalm extolling the virtues of the law of God. Let’s read it again: ‘Blessed are the undefiled in the way, who walk in the law of the LORD.’

This is saying you need more than the saving grace of God to live a fulfilled Christian life. Don’t get me wrong. That’s where you start, with his grace and his salvation. But if you want to know the blessing of God in every area of your life, there’s now some doing to be done.

Psalm structure

The word ‘Aleph’ which came up on the screen is the first letter of the Hebrew alphabet. To aid memorisation in the Hebrew, each of the first eight verses of Psalm one hundred and nineteen begins with the first letter of the Hebrew alphabet.

The second eight begin with the second letter, ‘Beth’, and the psalm marches on in the same way right through all twenty-two letters of the Hebrew alphabet.

Eight twenty-twos are one hundred and seventy-six, and that’s the number of verses in this towering work of literature and theology. Theology is the study of God and the law of God expresses the very character of God. If you want to know the mind of God, study the law of God. Study it, meditate in it, pray through it and walk in it.

To help you do that, every single verse of this psalm praises the law of God, his commandments, his statutes, his precepts, his word, and shows how following God’s ways brings you a benefit. That’s every verse, for one hundred and seventy-six wonderful verses.

Torah of Yehovah

The expression ‘the law of the Lord’, or more literally the ‘Torah’ of ‘Yehovah’ (there is no hard ‘J’ in Hebrew) appears eighteen times in the Old Testament and 3 times in the New where Mary and Joseph made offerings for Jesus according to ‘the law of the Lord.’

Of the eighteen times the expression occurs in the Old Testament, three of them are in the Psalms, in Psalm one, in Psalm nineteen and here in Psalm one hundred and nineteen, where in verse one we read ‘Blessed are the undefiled in the way, who walk in the law of the LORD’. Actually, that Hebrew word ‘Torah’ is bigger than ‘law’ as we normally understand it. It includes the meaning of ‘instruction’.

To walk in the Torah of Yehovah will make you undefiled, without blemish, complete, upright in your course of life, in your way of living, because ‘the way’ here is the way of righteousness.

Righteousness begins with Jesus

It isn’t easy, because sin gets in the way, but repentance, humility and a holy determination to do it God’s way will put you back amongst the ‘undefiled in the way.’ By the grace of God it’s do-able.

Righteousness begins with Jesus Christ, the lawgiver and Saviour. Having had your sins washed clean by faith in his death and resurrection, you can be filled with the Holy Spirit and be empowered to walk within the boundaries and limits of the law of the Lord with delight.

John Gill in his commentary says ‘cheerfully obey its precepts, as influenced by the love of God, and assisted by the Spirit and grace of Christ’.

Keep his law, by his grace

So don’t think Christ has done this law-keeping stuff for you, on your behalf, so you don’t have to do it. Scripture after scripture shows it doesn’t work like that. You have to want to be undefiled, to be holy, which means ‘set apart’ for the Lord. If you love God you’ll put in the effort, determined to keep his law, by his grace, helped by his Holy Spirit.

Because, to remain undefiled in the way, and to walk in the law of the LORD, the psalmist says perfectly clearly, will bring upon you the blessing of Almighty God.

In November 2012, Richard Pendlebury, an investigative journalist on the Daily Mail, put together a series of articles on the activities and people behind a shadowy elitist training school called ‘Common Purpose’:

See: Dark Arts and links with the Masters of Spin

And: The influence of ‘people who know best’

Also: A careful response from the Guardian

And: A good summing up in the Telegraph

Common Purpose runs expensive leadership courses mainly for public sector employees, largely because only the public sector can afford its fees of £5,000 for a week’s attendance.

Richard Pendlebury

One cannot always trust what the Daily Mail says, and in attacking those campaigning for restrictions on the press, it can be accused of fighting its own corner as the Leveson Report looms rather than exposing chicanery in high places.

Nevertheless, Mr Pendlebury is an award-winning journalist and his articles are replete with well-researched links between personnel and based on documents and statements in the public sphere.  Chief among the people identified is Sir David Bell, a top fixer in the Leveson Enquiry and a trustee of the Bureau of Investigative Journalism, which falsely linked Lord McAlpine to the Wrexham paedophile scandal.  Sir David is indeed a trustee of the Common Purpose Charitable Trust, whose purpose statement claims: ‘Our educational courses give people the inspiration, skills and connections to become better leaders.’

Common Purpose International is linked by personnel to the Common Purpose Charitable Trust and aims to establish Common Purpose operating organisations in countries outside the UK.  It says ‘All Common Purpose operating organisations aim to give leaders the inspiration, the knowledge and the connections they need to produce real change.’

Even the Guardian’s Michael White was grudgingly appreciative of the ‘Mail’ article and Richard Pendlebury, writing: ‘Bell is a good Mail target because he’s highly visible in the octopus as a former Social Democrat party member and ex-chairman of Pearsons with links to other quango-crats named by the paper.’

The idea of constant or nebulous ‘change’ with no qualification or explanation or what it entails is a Marxist concept within which the Common Purpose website feels right at home. Common Purpose graduates acquire skills in ‘group dynamics’ equipping them to manipulate meetings. EDI features heavily. There again, an elitism present in Common Purpose is exemplified in its constant assertion that it provides ‘connections’. Certainly its Chief Executive, Julia Middleton, has become extremely well-connected to the liberal establishment through Common Purpose.  She is director and company secretary of the Media Standards Trust, financial backers of the ‘Hacked Off” campaign and no end of feminist groups.  In 1994, she helped set up the left-of-centre think-tank Demos. Look for a comment by ‘The Trician’ about her here. She is married to the equally well-connected financier Rupert Middleton.

Julia Middleton – ‘the best-connected woman you’ve never heard of’.

While campaigning for transparency elsewhere, the Common Purpose website has a password-protected inner core and refuses to publish a list of its ‘graduates’.  But they include some 35,000 mainly public-sector employees, journalists, police officers – the Met spent tens of thousands of pounds on Common Purpose courses under Sir Ian Blair – and aspiring politicians.  Nor is Common Purpose any more forthcoming – or eager to comply with company law – over disclosing the home addresses of its directors. Most of them claim to live at the Common Purpose office in Banner Street, EC1.

Common Purpose tried to blacken the name of people doing Freedom of Information searches on it, and it would not be beyond the bounds of possibility to suspect that if a group of Common Purpose graduates have the down on someone in a locality, that they could do him serious financial damage.

The most subversive aspect of the Common Purpose mindset is the one hiding in plain sight, the concept of leading ‘beyond authority’. It is even the subject of a book by Mrs Middleton.  According to the Common Purpose website:

‘Many successful leaders learn to lead in roles or circumstances where they have clear authority, budget and accountability. When they move beyond this – leading peers, partners and stakeholders – the skills that brought them success may not be enough. To operate effectively they need a different approach to leadership – the ability to Lead Beyond Authority.’

What that means is that CP people are trained to interfere in matters which are not their responsibility in order to effect the changes in policy (EDI, etc) they want to see. Even the Guardian’s Michael White is alarmed: ‘In her book Beyond Authority, Middleton – as quoted by the Mail – writes cheerfully of using “charm and flattery” to place a “conventional useful idiot” into a job which would be a “perfect smokescreen” for a chum’s agenda. Such tactics need watching.’

The Guardian described Common Purpose as ‘well-meaning’.  But what Common Purpose plot and plan is likely to benefit themselves and their pet causes first and the rest of us and righteousness a long way second. Pray that the Lord will bring their devices to naught:

Psalm 2:2 The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the LORD, and against his anointed, saying, 3 Let us break their bands asunder, and cast away their cords from us. 4 He that sitteth in the heavens shall laugh: the Lord shall have them in derision.

Matt 10:26 Fear them not therefore: for there is nothing covered, that shall not be revealed; and hid, that shall not be known.

Corrupt former police chief blamed the "political and media frenzy" for his decision to resign

The chief constable of West Midlands Police has retired after damning criticism of a decision to ban Israeli fans from a match against Aston Villa.

Craig Guildford’s retirement was confirmed on Friday 16th January 2026, after both Downing Street and the home secretary said they had lost confidence in his leadership.

He faced numerous calls to resign after apologising for providing incorrect evidence to MPs, which included the denial that AI was used in a report which led to the decision to ban Maccabi Tel Aviv fans from the game on 6 November.

According to the Telegraph, a secret dossier proving that police covered up threats against Israeli players by “Asian youths looking for a fight”. Senior officers misled the public by claiming that the event had taken place without incident, when in fact the Maccabi team had been constantly in danger of mob violence.

The big question British people should be asking is how many more corrupt police officials are out there waiting to be caught?

52-year-old Craig Guildford announcing his retirement, blamed what he described as the “political and media frenzy” for his decision to step down.

“I have carefully considered my position and concluded that retirement is in the best interests of the organisation, myself and my family,” he said.

“It has been the honour of my career serving as the chief constable of West Midlands Police.”

In a statement to reporters, West Midlands Police and Crime Commissioner (PCC) Simon Foster said he welcomed the decision and was “pleased this outcome had been reached”.

“That has prevented what might otherwise have been a complex procedure that would have caused significant distraction, impact and cost to West Midlands Police and the wider West Midlands,” he added.

Mr. Foster said he was pleased the outcome was reached “having regard to due process and the law”.

“It was important this matter was resolved in a balanced, calm, fair, measured and respectful manner.”

Proverbs 21:3 To do justice and judgment is more acceptable to the LORD than sacrifice.

The web of lies

In October 2025, West Midlands Police (WMP) and Birmingham’s Safety Advisory Group barred Maccabi Tel Aviv supporters from attending a Europa League match at Villa Park, citing vague “intelligence” and alleged safety risks linked to violent disorder at previous European fixtures. However, subsequent scrutiny revealed that the decision appeared to be made before the evidence was established, raising concerns that Jewish supporters were excluded first and justification sought later.

WMP’s case relied heavily on claims of serious disorder involving Maccabi supporters in Amsterdam in 2024, including allegations of widespread violence, overwhelmed policing, and dramatic scenes in the city. These claims were later contradicted by official Dutch police statements, which confirmed that no such chaos had occurred. Officer numbers were significantly lower than reported, and allegations of protesters being thrown into canals were false. Dutch authorities instead noted that Jewish supporters were the primary victims of hostility that evening.

Errors and misinformation continued to surface as the ban came under parliamentary scrutiny. When questioned by the Home Affairs Select Committee, WMP Craig Guildford claimed that local Jewish representatives had been consulted prior to the ban. This was untrue. No such consultation had taken place. WMP later issued a written apology, attributing the false statements to “unintentional errors” in its briefing. Further credibility was lost when it emerged that intelligence had included reference to a non-existent match between Maccabi and West Ham—an error later traced to the use of an artificial intelligence tool, despite initial denials by the force.

Further inaccuracies compounded the controversy. WMP wrongly claimed to have consulted local Jewish representatives, later issuing an apology for “unintentional errors.” Even more troubling was the revelation that some intelligence, including a reference to a non-existent match between Maccabi and West Ham, had been generated by an artificial intelligence tool. After initial denials, WMP admitted consulting Microsoft Copilot, prompting serious concerns about the reliability and accountability of policing decisions.

The episode was further politicised by comments from Birmingham Perry Barr MP Ayoub Khan, who suggested Israeli supporters would be a provocation in an area with a large Muslim population.

John 8:32 And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free. Proverbs 12:22 Lying lips are abomination to the LORD: but they that deal truly are his delight.

Muslim leaders now decision makers?

Confidence in the force has been further shaken by revelations concerning the appointment process itself.

The chief executive of Green Lane Mosque, an institution previously criticised for hosting radical speakers, sat on a panel that interviewed candidates for the Chief Constable role three years ago.

Kamran Hussein’s involvement inevitably casts fresh doubt on subsequent decisions to consult the mosque ahead of the Aston Villa–Maccabi Tel Aviv fixture, raising serious questions about whether professional distance and institutional integrity were properly maintained at senior levels of policing.

It is of paramount importance that our “citizens in uniform” are led by officers who not only treat all ethnic or religious groups equally, but are seen to do so. So-called “community policing” must never again degenerate into turning a blind eye to violence and extremism in one community, while ignoring the justified fears of a smaller one.

We must hope that Shabana Mahmood’s background will help her to restore the battered reputation of British policing.

Recorded police misconduct

Across the UK, a series of deeply troubling misconduct cases have undermined public confidence in law enforcement, raising questions about vetting, discipline, culture and systemic accountability.

One high-profile case that has shaken trust in British policing involves Merseyside Police, where Detective Constable John Rigby was dismissed after admitting he paid a 17-year-old boy for sex and unlawfully accessed police computer systems to obtain information on individuals without legitimate purpose. The chief constable described the offence as “inconceivable” in someone sworn to uphold the law, and Rigby is now barred from policing roles.

Meanwhile in London, the Metropolitan Police Service has faced a string of credibility crises. Independent reports have highlighted institutional failures, discrimination and toxic culture at Charing Cross police station, including racist, sexist and homophobic behaviour among officers that senior leadership failed to address. Separately, a BBC Panorama probe, resulted in the arrest and suspension of a sergeant on suspicion of perverting the course of justice and the dismissal of officers for gross misconduct.

Compounding these concerns are revelations that the Met failed to properly vet thousands of officers and staff between 2018 and 2023, leaving gaps in background checks that potentially allowed individuals with problematic histories to serve.

A recent report suggests that over 1,400 officers across forces in England and Wales are under scrutiny for alleged gross misconduct, including sexual offences, domestic abuse and abuse of authority, an unprecedented scale that commentators say could amount to the most serious crisis in policing in decades.

Amid these revelations, the reluctance of some political figures to take decisive action has further fuelled public frustration.

Psalm 82:3 Defend the poor and fatherless: do justice to the afflicted and needy.

Christians bearing the brunt

Across the UK, there have been encounters between Christian street preachers and the police, where concerns have been raised about how freedom of religion and free speech are being interpreted and enforced.

These cases highlight a pattern in which preachers have been arrested, detained or investigated, sometimes only to see charges dropped or compensation awarded later.

In London, Jesse Samuel, a Christian street preacher was surrounded by police officers during an open-air service.

In a viral social media video, Jesse was seen declaring the Gospel as officers confronted him over the content of his message.

Another case involved Dale Mcalpine, a street preacher in Cumbria who was arrested and detained for six hours after police accused him of using words that could cause “alarm or distress.” He pursued a wrongful arrest and false imprisonment claim against Cumbria Police, which settled with a £4,000 payout plus costs. Mcalpine’s lawyers called the police response a “gross overreaction” and reinforced that lawful Christian preaching should not be treated as criminal conduct.

In Greater Manchester, John Craven, a preacher who had quoted the Gospel to two teenagers, was wrongly arrested, denied food and medication while in custody, and held for over 19 hours before the case was settled. A compensation package of around £13,000 was agreed shortly before his case was due in court, a significant payout acknowledging serious failures in how officers applied public order laws.

More recently, Shaun O’Sullivan, a street preacher in Swindon, faced multiple arrests (16 times according to reporting) related to his public ministry during demonstrations. At a Crown Court trial, a jury unanimously cleared him of “religiously aggravated intentional harassment,” recognising his speech as protected religious and political expression.

Across these cases, a common thread is police action being taken on the basis of public complaints or perceived offence, rather than clear evidence of criminal conduct. In several instances, charges were later dropped or civil claims were successful because legal standards for hate or public order offences were not met. These outcomes reveal a clash between modern interpretations of public order and the fundamental right to preach and express belief in public.

Proverbs 31:8 Open thy mouth for the dumb in the cause of all such as are appointed to destruction.

Read and Pray

PRAY: Pray for that God would strengthen Christian believers to stand firm in truth, and that lawful freedom to preach the Gospel in public would be protected and upheld without fear or intimidation.

Pray for wisdom among authorities — that police, lawmakers and courts would act impartially, discerning between genuine harm and lawful expression, and uphold justice without prejudice or double standards.

Pray for repentance and revival.

Why is Ofsted surprised at surge in homeschooling?

The number of children being educated at home in England has risen sharply in recent years, prompting concern from Ofsted and the government. But why are they surprised?

According to official figures, home education has more than doubled since the pandemic, with tens of thousands of families withdrawing their children from state schools.

Ofsted’s Chief Inspector has warned that this “surge” risks damaging children’s social development, claiming many parents are acting out of “desperation” rather than conviction.

Labour has responded by proposing tighter regulation of home education, including mandatory registers, increased local authority oversight, and greater powers to intervene in family life. Ministers argue these measures are necessary to safeguard children, ensure consistent standards, and prevent what they describe as “invisible” education outside the state system.

However, many parents dispute the framing of home education as a problem to be solved. Christian families, in particular, point to declining standards, ideological teaching on sex and gender, anti-Christian bias, and a lack of parental consent in schools as key reasons for withdrawing their children. For them, homeschooling is not an act of desperation but a deliberate choice to protect their children’s moral, spiritual, and educational formation.

From a Christian perspective, the state’s increasing hostility towards home education raises serious questions about freedom of conscience, parental authority, and the proper limits of government power.

The children’s bill

Swedish Social Services snatched Dominic Johansson when he was seven because his parents were temporarily homeschooling him before they moved to India. Home schooling was at that time legal in Sweden. It isn't now. Dominic has not seen his parents for nine years to date.

Dominic has not seen his parents for nine years to date.

The Children’s Well-being and Schools Bill went through parliament in May 2025. The Bill is perhaps the most brazen assault yet on parental freedom in Britain.

Hidden beneath language of care and protection is a scheme of control. The proposed universal register of children not in school and the state’s power to refuse a family’s request to home educate are clear markers of an institution no longer willing to trust its citizens.

The state’s creeping hand into the realm of home-schooling must be recognised for what it is: a moral affront to the God-ordained order of family and freedom.

The Bible says,
Proverbs 22:6 Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.

The Education Act 1996 says:

Section 7: Duty of parents to secure education of children of compulsory school age.

The parent of every child of compulsory school age shall cause him to receive efficient full-time education suitable—

(a) to his age, ability and aptitude, and
(b) to any special educational needs he may have,
either by regular attendance at school or otherwise.

The 1996 Act and the law in Scotland and Northern Ireland agree with the Bible that it the duty to educate children lies with parents. In the law-book of Deuteronomy, the model nation was told:

Deut 6:6 And these words, which I command thee this day, shall be in thine heart: 7 And thou shalt teach them diligently unto thy children.

OFsted Board

Ofsted presents itself as a neutral watchdog, yet its leadership and governance reflect the prevailing ideological assumptions of the education establishment. The organisation’s board and senior leadership are drawn largely from secular, state-aligned backgrounds, with little representation from faith communities or homeschooling families. This absence matters, because policy is shaped not only by data but by values.

Ofsted board members regularly speak from a worldview that assumes state schooling is the default and superior model of education. Alternative approaches, particularly those rooted in religious conviction are often treated with suspicion, as though they are deviations requiring correction rather than legitimate expressions of parental responsibility.

This imbalance helps explain why Ofsted is quick to highlight alleged risks of homeschooling, while showing far less urgency about well-documented failures within the state system: collapsing discipline, widespread truancy, ideological confusion, and safeguarding scandals. When oversight bodies lack ideological diversity, scrutiny becomes selective.

For Christian parents, the concern is not merely administrative but moral. Decisions about children’s education are increasingly being made by people who neither share nor respect biblical convictions about truth, authority, and the purpose of education.

Ask us to come and speak at your church →

Faith arrogance

Ofsted’s posture towards faith-based education has long been marked by what many Christians describe as institutional arrogance. Christian schools and families are frequently subjected to intense scrutiny, accused of “narrow worldviews” or “lack of inclusivity” simply for holding biblical beliefs on marriage, gender, and morality.

At the same time, secular and progressive ideologies are treated as neutral or even virtuous. This double standard reveals that Ofsted’s concern is not genuinely about children’s welfare, but about enforcing conformity to a particular moral framework, one that increasingly conflicts with Christianity.

By framing homeschooling parents as desperate or irresponsible, Ofsted dismisses the thoughtful, prayerful decisions made by families who see education as discipleship, not just instruction. It ignores the biblical mandate that parents are stewards of their children, accountable first to God, not the state.

The danger is clear: when faith is marginalised and parental authority undermined, the state moves closer to claiming ownership over children’s hearts and minds. History shows that such overreach rarely ends well.

Nanosermon Script:

Let’s look at presents at Christmas, in Matthew chapter two:

Matt 2:1 Now when Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judaea in the days of Herod the king, behold, there came wise men from the east to Jerusalem,
Matt 2:2 Saying, Where is he that is born King of the Jews? for we have seen his star in the east, and are come to worship him.

These three are described as ‘wise men’ in the King James Version, and as ‘magi’ elsewhere. The Greek word is ‘magos’. A ‘magos’ is an eastern sage. The Greek gives us our word ‘magician’, but an eastern ‘magos’ is no stage-performing illusionist. Oh, no. A ‘magos’ of those times has interest in science and medicine and has read and travelled widely.

Both secular and spiritual

There is no distinction drawn between the secular and the spiritual in his life or in the court libraries or in politics. A magos would have ability in astrology and probably in occult magic arts thrown in as well.

He would understand the significance of signs in the heavens, such as the star Matthew is referring to. In addition, a pagan sage in those days would offer advice to a ruler based on his wisdom and study. He is respected and protected. A magos will not travel alone but with an entourage of servants and what we could describe as ‘minders’.

We remember Herod took the magi seriously. He was troubled and sent them on their way with a plea to return when they had found the child. Paranoid Herod saw whoever it was as a threat. And he was right. King Jesus is still a threat to ungodly, unrighteous, unjust despots. We join the magi as the star stops in Bethlehem in verse eleven:

Matt 2:11 And when they were come into the house, they saw the young child with Mary his mother, and fell down, and worshipped him: and when they had opened their treasures, they presented unto him gifts; gold, and frankincense, and myrrh.

Always take a gift

You need to understand that all over the Middle East and Africa even today you just do not go to see a new baby without a gift, however humble.

This principle is so strictly observed you cannot even take into your arms a new-born you have unexpectedly come across in church without pressing a note into the hands of the child’s parents.

So the magi would not go empty-handed. But what of the gifts themselves? They brought gold, frankinsense and myrrh. What’s the meaning?

The meaning of the gifts

Here Matthew leaves us guessing. It’s up to the carol ‘We three Kings of Orient are’ to explain.

The gold signifies Christ’s kingship as ‘King forever, ceasing never, Over us all to reign’.

Frankinsense speaks of his divinity: ‘Incense owns a Deity nigh’. Incense is something a priest would offer, so Christ’s ability to offer himself as a sacrifice is also indicated. Many ancient kings were priests as well, wielding absolute totalitarian power. Only in Israel did God separate the offices of priest and king. But the magi’s presents show that in Christ priest and king come back together in power.

Thirdly, Myrrh with ‘its bitter perfume’ is an embalming spice which has healing properties as well. Myrrh foretells the cross and its salvation and healing.

Prophecy fulfilled

Finally, did you know the magi were fulfilling a prophecy? Speaking of the Lord arising with bright light in Isaiah chapter sixty, we read in verse six of presents proclaiming kingship and divinity coming from three separate places in the Middle East and Africa:

Isa 60:6 The multitude of camels shall cover thee, the dromedaries of Midian and Ephah; all they from Sheba shall come: they shall bring gold and incense; and they shall shew forth the praises of the LORD.

Christmas may not be Jesus’s actual birthday, but perhaps, when we give presents at Christmas to whoever we honour, we are also honouring Christ himself. If you truly give him your life you will also know his salvation and his peace. So whenever you are watching this, Merry Christmas to you.

End of the road for diesel-powered trucks in the UK?

Replacement trucks: what will be the future fuels?
Replacement trucks: what will be the future fuels?

The government has unveiled plans to end the sale of new petrol and diesel-powered lorries as part of its ‘net-zero’ agenda, confirming that all new heavy goods vehicles will have to be electric by 2040.

Ministers have explicitly ruled out the continued use of low-carbon or synthetic fuels, narrowing the transition to battery and hydrogen technology alone.

The move would place the haulage industry on a fixed timetable regardless of whether the technology, supply chains, or charging infrastructure are ready. While the phase-out date was first floated by the Conservatives in 2021, Labour’s approach is markedly more rigid, rejecting alternative fuels that could have eased the transition and preserved flexibility for operators.

Labour’s ‘obsessive’ drive towards Net Zero could cost Britons a staggering £4.5trillion over the next 25 years, according to official figures.

Reject Net Zero policies →

“Labour are sleepwalking into a cost shock”

Replacement trucks: what will be the future fuels?
Replacement trucks: what will be the future fuels?

Richard Holden, the Tory shadow transport secretary, told The Telegraph: “Labour are sleepwalking into a cost shock for the entire economy.

“Forcing haulage firms to scrap perfectly good lorries while they can still run for years and replace them with other vehicles before either the technology or infrastructure is ready will simply drive up costs, as well as being environmentally disastrous.

“Those costs will be passed straight through supply chains into higher prices in shops, higher construction costs, and more pressure on inflation.”

Electric HGVs remain significantly more costly to purchase, and their limited range raises concerns about reliability for long-distance and time-sensitive deliveries.

Those additional costs are unlikely to be absorbed by haulage firms already operating on tight margins. Instead, they will be passed on to consumers in the form of higher food prices, more expensive clothing, and increased delivery charges. In effect, a policy aimed at environmental targets risks becoming a hidden tax on ordinary households.

For families already facing pressure from inflation, energy bills, and housing costs, the impact would be felt not in abstract climate targets but at the supermarket checkout. The Bible says:

Ezek 45:9 Thus saith the Lord GOD; Let it suffice you, O princes of Israel: remove violence and spoil, and execute judgment and justice, take away your exactions from my people, saith the Lord GOD.

Fossil fuels, like all minerals in the earth, given to us by the Almighty, as explained here:

Industry Reality

Data from the Road Haulage Association underscores how far removed policy ambition is from operational reality. A recent survey found that seven in ten haulage firms had no plans to add zero-emission vehicles to their fleets, citing cost and range limitations as the main barriers.

As of last year, there were only around 500 electric HGVs registered in the UK, out of a total fleet exceeding half a million.

Infrastructure remains another major obstacle. Unlike cars, lorries require high-capacity charging points, space, and time—resources that are scarce along major freight routes. Without a nationwide network capable of supporting heavy vehicles, mandating electrification risks immobilising parts of the logistics system. Are our rulers stupid, arrogant, demonic or all three? Scripture requires rulers at all levels to be humble, honest, truthful and competent:

Exod 18:21 Moreover thou shalt provide out of all the people able men, such as fear God, men of truth, hating covetousness; and place such over them, to be rulers of thousands, and rulers of hundreds, rulers of fifties, and rulers of tens:

The Green Finance Institute has estimated that around £100 billion in additional finance and subsidies would be required to make widespread electric lorry adoption viable. That raises further questions about who ultimately bears the cost: private firms, taxpayers, or consumers.

How to Join or Support Christian Voice →

Jobs at Risk

The logistics sector employs nearly 2.7 million people and contributes around £185 billion to the UK economy each year. Any disruption to its functioning therefore carries serious employment and growth implications. Smaller haulage firms, in particular, may struggle to survive the transition, lacking the capital to replace fleets on a political timetable.

We maintain that forcing companies to scrap usable vehicles early is not only economically wasteful but environmentally questionable. Manufacturing new electric lorries carries its own carbon cost, especially when existing diesel vehicles could continue operating for years while cleaner fuels and technologies develop.

Rather than encouraging innovation, the policy risks hollowing out an industry vital to national resilience. In the name of environmental virtue, it may weaken the very economic foundations needed to support families, communities, and long-term stewardship.

Transport is as old as mankind. We read of merchant shipping in scripture. We all know of Joseph’s brothers selling him into slavery in Egypt, but a small detail reveals ancient road transport as well:

Gen 37:25 And they sat down to eat bread: and they lifted up their eyes and looked, and, behold, a company of Ishmeelites came from Gilead with their camels bearing spicery and balm and myrrh, going to carry it down to Egypt.

Ask us to come and speak at your church →

Central Control

At heart, the debate is about how environmental responsibility should be pursued. This government’s proposals rely on quotas, caps, and bans—mechanisms of central control that leave little room for adaptation or local judgement. Opponents argue that this approach treats complex economic systems as problems to be managed from above.

For Christian observers, the concern is not indifference to creation care, but the moral cost of policies that burden the poor, undermine honest work, and concentrate power in the hands of the state. Stewardship demands wisdom, restraint, and realism, not coercive measures that ignore human consequences.

As the net-zero debate intensifies, the question remains whether environmental goals will be pursued in ways that respect economic justice and social responsibility—or whether families and workers will once again be asked to pay the price for political ambition.

Why King’s 2025 Christmas Message was ‘on-message’

King Charles delivers his woke Christmas Message 2025

I think we should take a look at King Charles’s 2025 Christmas Day message to see why he was so, as it were, ‘on-message’.

It was King George V who delivered the first one. The present King’s great-grandfather was live on radio from Sandringham at 3pm in 1932.

It was clever timing, encroaching neither on your grandparents’ Christmas lunch nor on a later dinner. Whole families would set aside 3pm to gather round, first the radio, then, from 1957, the television, hanging on every word of his majesty, then her majesty, and now his majesty all over again. I remember my parents doing exactly that.

From radio to cut-away shots

There have only been three years since when the avid listener was disappointed. There was no broadcast in 1936 following the abdication of King Edward VIII. King George VI did not give an address in 1938. In 1959 and 1963, the messages went out solely on radio, because Her Majesty was pregnant, with, respectively, Andrew and Edward.

And in 1969 BBC bosses repeated the documentary, Royal Family, on Christmas Day, so Her Majesty issued a written message instead. But the monarch’s Christmas broadcast has been an unbroken televised tradition now since nineteen-seventy.

In nineteen seventy-one the Queen included Andrew and Edward, then aged eleven and seven, looking at old family photos. This year, we had endless visual footage of various members of the, er, working, royal family doing things among ordinary people. There was Sophie talking to veterans, Prince William first in uniform as an RAF Wing Commander, then in an apron.

Prov 15:33 The fear of the LORD is the instruction of wisdom; and before honour is humility.

’Communities’ in the plural

And of course, fifty-six years later, as you well know, this United Kingdom is a very different place, and not just in the skill of editing in strategic cut-away shots.

Her late majesty had no need to refer to ‘communities’, in the plural, in 1970. King Charles, on the other hand, mentioned ‘communities’ no fewer than four times this year, beating 2023’s three times.

His first mention was a grating claim that ‘communities’ came together in the two world wars. No, Your Majesty, it was the whole nation which came together. It’s spin to force today’s language and politics into the Britain of nineteen thirty-nine.

Psalm 133:1 A Song of degrees of David. Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity!

’Communities came together’

Bondi Beach Massacre targeted Jews celebrating the Hannukah festival.
Bondi Beach Massacre targeted Jews celebrating the Hannukah festival.

Last year, His Majesty referred to ‘anger and lawlessness in several towns’ before going on to praise ‘how communities came together’. This year, the nearness of the Heaton Park Synagogue attack and especially the Bondi Beach massacre made it inevitable that His Majesty would make reference to them.

Both were however only in visual footage, accompanying the king’s innocuous voice-over:
‘to the ways in which individuals and communities display spontaneous bravery, instinctively placing themselves in harm’s way to defend others.’

The king went on: “As I meet people of different faiths, I find it enormously encouraging to hear how much we have in common; a shared longing for peace and a deep respect for all life.”

No ‘longing for peace’ in Islam

Masked Muslim youths take to east London streets to ‘defend our community’ after police banned UKIP march to ‘reclaim’ the area | Daily Mail Online

But His Majesty’s knowledge of other faiths must tell him that the “longing for peace and a deep respect for all life” are not shared across them all. They are present in Judaism and in the Christian faith, and Christians sometimes assume they must be there in every faith.

But the reality is, “longing for peace” and any kind of respect for human life are not part of the Mohammedan religion. They are replaced with a longing for conquest and submission and a desire for martyrdom. And those principles are now observed by 4 million of His Majesty’s subjects here in the UK.

Prov 8:36 But he that sinneth against me wrongeth his own soul: all they that hate me love death.

And they do indeed, with their ghettos, where English, if spoken at all, is a minority language, form separate communities from the rest of us.

Establishment propaganda

Php 2:10 That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth;

So I have to say that his majesty is mis-advised. He may even be mis-advising himself, when he feels he has to paint “the great diversity of our communities” as where “we can find the strength to ensure that right triumphs over wrong.”

Lola McEvoy, MP for Darlington UK (Labour)
Lola McEvoy, MP for Darlington UK (Labour)

People watching, listening, will know that is not true. It’s a non-sequitor. It reminds me of Lola McEvoy MP, after the Bondi Beach massacre, claiming: ‘Diversity is our strength’.
The audience heard His Majesty spout the same multicultural slogan.

It’s at best wishful thinking and at worst it’s establishment propaganda, otherwise known as ‘gaslighting’. It’s the King ‘on message’, doing politics, at odds with what a majority, now two-thirds (67%) of UK adults think, that the number of people coming into the UK is too high.

Islam is a threat

King Charles at Oxford Centre with a cup of tea.
King Charles at Oxford Centre for Islamic Studies, of which he is patron, with a cup of tea.

As for the religious system they are bringing with them, in February 2024, more than half of Conservative Party members said in a poll that Islam is a threat to the British way of life.
30% of the general public agreed.

And that was before Bondi, before Heaton Park, before the flood of migrant sex crimes, before the hotel protests, before the Southport murders, before the General election even. Lee Anderson was still a Tory MP when that poll was commissioned by the pro-migrant Hope Not Hate.

The elephant in the room is that two of his majesty’s ‘communities’ cannot co-exist. In his land, right now, the Jewish ‘community’ are under attack from the Muslim ‘community’, three quarters of whom believe Hamas terrorists are good guys and that there should be no state of Israel.

Numb 24:9b Blessed is he that blesseth thee, and cursed is he that curseth thee.

Only Christianity preaches the blood of Jesus

The “prayer for peace and reconciliation” his Majesty made cannot exist without the original intention of the angels’ proclamation to the shepherds, the spiritual dimension of peace and reconciliation with God in heaven. That can only come through the shed blood of the Lord Jesus, which only the Christian faith proclaims and ministers. To the Sikh ‘community’ redemption through the blood is nonsense, to the Muslim one, blasphemy.

Romans 5:9 Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him.

The king’s heart is clearly for peace and happiness in his realm, but he won’t find it in the multicultural secularist belief system of the British establishment. It will only be found in the King of kings, the Lord Jesus.

I invite you to agree with me that it is only if and when our elite proclaim the Christian faith and our Christian heritage and constitution, as exemplified in His Majesty’s coronation on 6th May 2023, that right, and truth, will triumph over wrong.

1Cor 15:25 For he must reign, till he hath put all enemies under his feet.

Name the Lord Jesus!

We pray that next year His Majesty might actually name the Lord Jesus, not refer to him obliquely as “The One who ‘came down to Earth from Heaven’, ‘whose shelter was a stable’ and who shared his life with ‘the poor and lowly’.” Because if you are not already Christian, you won’t know who he’s talking about.

The true ‘message of Christmas’ is not family, or fellowship, or travelling, or presents. No, it’s that at a certain point in history, God, the Maker of the stars and sea, humbled himself to become one of us, a child on earth in the Lord Jesus. Without Christmas there’s no Easter. The incarnation starts the reconciliation. It’s that important.

You know, a time is coming, and now is, when His Majesty will need to proclaim the Lord Jesus and his defining place in our nation in his Christmas broadcast, rather than allow it to descend into a cross between the BBC’s Thought for the Day, establishment propaganda and a Royal Family promo.

1Tim 6:15 Which in his times he shall shew, who is the blessed and only Potentate, the King of kings, and Lord of lords;

I’m glad His Majesty concluded: “So, with these words and my whole heart, I wish you all a most peaceful and very happy Christmas.” We received that wish in our household at least.

Prayer for the king

1Tim 2:1 I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men; 2 For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty. 3 For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour; 4 Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth. 5 For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus: 6 Who gave himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time.

I think it would be appropriate for us to pray the prayer for His Majesty found in both morning prayer and evensong in the Anglican tradition:

O Lord our heavenly Father, high and mighty, King of kings, Lord of lords, the only Ruler of princes, who dost from thy throne behold all the dwellers upon earth; most heartily we beseech thee with thy favour to behold our most gracious Sovereign Lord, King Charles; and so replenish him with the grace of thy Holy Spirit, that he may alway incline to thy will, and walk in thy way: endue him plenteously with heavenly gifts; grant him in health and wealth long to live; strengthen him that he may vanquish and overcome all his enemies; and finally, after this life, he may attain everlasting joy and felicity; through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Amen

Write to King Charles

The Bible says:
Eccl 4:13 Better is a poor and a wise child than an old and foolish king, who will no more be admonished.

Is His Majesty that king? If so, if he desires honour, it’s time for humility:
Prov 15:33 The fear of the LORD is the instruction of wisdom; and before honour is humility.

WRITE TO THE KING: ‘His Majesty The King, Buckingham Palace, London, SW1A 1AA’. You can open with ‘Sir’ (although I write: ‘May it please Your Majesty’) and close the letter with the form ‘I have the honour to be, Sir, Your Majesty’s humble and obedient servant’.

Reform UK councillor under fire for defending Britain’s Christian identity

Councillor Carl Abbott

A Christian councillor has come under fire for questioning whether teaching Muslim prayer practices in state schools could be linked to radicalisation, and for stating that the United Kingdom is a Christian country.

Reform UK Councillor Carl Abbot, made the remarks during a council training session on extremism.

The councillor for Glenfield Leicestershire has been accused of stigmatising a faith group and his comments labelled “Islamophobic.”

Cllr Abbot responded that his remarks were concerns, not prejudice, saying: “It really worries me in particular when we see children in primary schools being taught to pray the Muslim way. If the government is allowing this to be taught in schools, is this not a start of radicalisation of these children? Will we see a further increase in crimes, etc., as these children grow up? And I’m just wondering in the future, is this a start of something where you’re going to be overwhelmed?

I am not tarring anybody, I’m stating a concern. We are a Christian country, end of story.”

The councillor’s concerns fall within legitimate public discourse about educational content and cultural identity. Detractors, however, see his views as fear-driven and discriminatory, interpreting any critique of other religions as hostile or prejudicial.

The exchange has stirred wider debate about free speech, religious expression, and what constitutes legitimate concern versus offensive generalisation. At its heart is a question: can public figures discuss religion and the integration of faith practices in schools without being accused of intolerance?

UK’s Christian roots

The UK’s history and institutions have been shaped by Christian faith, even as society has become more ‘religiously diverse’, and that debate about religious influences in public life should not be shut down.

Britain is founded on institutions such as the Church of England and the Christian monarchy. Its legal system, calendar of public holidays, many of its charities, and much of its cultural ethos have long roots in Christian theology and practice. The national anthem invokes God, and the monarch is still styled as the Supreme Governor of the Church of England, a role intertwined with national identity.

Christian observances such as Christmas and Easter remain public holidays, and the majority of charitable giving in the UK is associated with Christian organisations. Churches, cathedrals, and historic religious structures dot towns and cities, and Christian ethical frameworks have historically influenced debates over law, justice, welfare, and public morality. It is therefore hypocritical to criticise a man who have chosen not to be blinded by the societal ideologies or the fallacies of diversity.

Even as religious attendance has declined in recent decades, Christianity continues to play a role in public rituals and national ceremonies. Parliamentary prayers, coronations, and state funerals remain rooted in Christian forms. The Archbishop of Canterbury continues to be a figure of national prominence, representing Anglicanism and, by extension, a historical Christian foundation.

Across education, many state schools still retain Christian reflection as part of daily assemblies or religious education, albeit in increasingly plural contexts.

Watch why we can not serve two masters at once:

Christians targeted

Christians in the UK have increasingly reported being ‘mistakenly branded’ as hateful or disciplined for expressing beliefs grounded in their faith.

For example, a teacher in London was sacked in December 2025 for telling Muslim children that Britain is a Christian country. He also told the boys off for washing their feet in the hand wash basins in the toilets (‘restroom’ if you’re American).

He told them: ‘Britain is still a Christian state’ and observed that the King is head of the Church of England. The school suspended the teacher in March twenty-twenty-four, then sacked him.

This case illustrates the fine line Christians navigate when speaking about their own heritage and convictions.

A retired pastor from Northern Ireland faced prosecution for preaching the Gospel in an open-air Sunday service near Coleraine’s Causeway Hospital.

Despite Clive Johnston not mentioning abortion, nor directly engaging with patients or staff, the 76-year-old was charged under the Abortion Services (Safe Access Zones) Act.

U-turn on plans to silence Christian preachers

On 7 March 2025, Rushmoor Borough Council sought an injunction at Aldershot and Farnham County Court that would have imposed draconian restrictions on Christian Street preachers in Aldershot and Farnborough.

Such measures, framed as public-order protections, risk chilling effect on lawful expression of faith and conscience when Christians engage openly with their communities. The Labour council was forced into a dramatic U-turn.

These cases often centre on whether traditional theological positions on sexuality, marriage, or religious identity can be expressed without crossing statutory lines, a question courts continue to wrestle with.

The price for ‘diversity’ and ‘inclusion’

In its relentless pursuit of appearing “woke” and aligned with international ideological fashions, Britain has paid a grave and growing price. Under the banner of diversity and inclusion, the nation has steadily surrendered common sense, moral clarity, and the legitimate expectations of its own citizens. What was once a commitment to fairness has been distorted into an uncritical accommodation of every claim, regardless of cost or consequence.

Recently, a convicted Islamist double murderer was awarded £240,000 of public money after a High Court ruling found that his isolation in prison breached his human rights.

Fuad Awale, serving a life sentence for the execution-style killing of two teenagers in Milton Keynes, successfully claimed that being placed in solitary confinement following a hostage-taking incident caused him psychological harm.

While the protection of human dignity is a principle Christians rightly affirm, the spectacle of generous compensation being granted to a man guilty of taking innocent lives raises profound moral questions. There are several other examples out there.

Where, one must ask, is the consideration for the victims and their families? Where is the concern for the public, compelled to finance such payouts while facing rising living costs and declining public services?

Stonewall’s Funds Dwindle Amid Backlash Over ‘Trans’ Activism

Stonewall is facing a serious financial crisis after years of aggressive activism and ideological campaigning.

Newly published accounts show the group recorded a deficit of almost £1 million in the last financial year, as income collapsed and spending continued to outstrip resources.

Its total reserves fell to just £91,811 by March 2025, down from nearly £1 million a year earlier. The figures show that Stonewall’s income dropped sharply from £6.9 million in 2024 to £4.7 million, while expenditure remained high at £5.6 million.

Much of the shortfall came as public bodies and major corporations withdrew funding or declined to renew contracts, particularly those linked to Stonewall’s ‘workplace diversity schemes’.

Fees from these programmes fell by more than £600,000 in a single year, reflecting growing institutional reluctance to be associated with the group’s agenda.

Stop transgenderism now! →

Political lobbying disguised as charity work

Pro-Transgender ‘Pride Flag’ painted on a walkway at NHS Princess Royal Hospital, Orpington, England.

Despite presenting itself as a ‘charity’, Stonewall continues to operate as a political pressure group, lobbying government departments, regulators, the NHS, and police forces to adopt contested policies on sex and gender.

In recent years, its focus shifted decisively toward ‘trans activism’, including the promotion of ‘self-identification’ policies, ‘gender-neutral language’, and the removal of sex-based distinctions in public services.

Stonewall’s influence extended into schools, prisons, women’s refuges, healthcare settings, and policing, often with little democratic oversight. It interventions undermined safeguarding, parental rights, freedom of belief, and sex-based protections, particularly for women and children. These concerns were frequently dismissed by the organisation as bigotry rather than addressed substantively.

As opposition grew, including from parents, clinicians, teachers, feminists, and faith groups, Stonewall’s once-unquestioned authority began to erode. The financial consequences now visible in its accounts suggest that the public have seen Stonewall for what it truly is.

Isaiah 5:20 Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness.

Controversies, legal risks, and public backlash

Stonewall’s decline coincides with a broader reckoning over the consequences of policies it helped normalise. Legal cases challenging sex-based rights, safeguarding failures in schools, and NHS treatments for children with ‘gender dysphoria’ have intensified scrutiny of the ideological framework Stonewall promoted. Institutions that once relied on Stonewall guidance have found themselves exposed to litigation, regulatory intervention, and public criticism.

Several high-profile organisations, including government departments and broadcasters have formally cut ties with Stonewall, citing concerns over neutrality and legal compliance. These departures were not symbolic; they represented a rejection of Stonewall’s assertion that its positions reflected settled law or public consensus.

For us at Christian Voice, the financial crisis is not accidental but the result of sustained overreach. But also, in a sense, Stonewall have won. The establishment, the quangocracy, now engage in trans activism, even trying to act as if the Supreme Court ruling last April, stating that sex is biological, never took place.

Numbers 32:23 Be sure your sin will find you out.

What this moment reveals

Stonewall’s financial predicament highlights the risks of allowing unelected lobby groups to shape public policy without accountability or restraint.

For taxpayers, the episode raises serious questions about how public money is allocated and whether ideological enforcement should ever have been funded in the first place. For Christians and others concerned with truth, order, and justice, the situation underscores the consequences of abandoning moral clarity in favour of political fashion.

As Stonewall’s resources dwindle, the wider lesson remains: movements built on coercion, ideological conformity, and the silencing of dissent rarely endure. But ‘trans’ ideology is taking a long while to die.

“Why trans is a mental-health issue”

For years, clinicians were trained to approach gender-related distress through careful psychological assessment, recognising it as a serious form of human suffering requiring evidence-based care. That professional framework has steadily collapsed.

As practising psychotherapist Stella O’Malley recently wrote on Spiked Online, “what was once clearly understood as a mental-health issue has been rebranded as a matter of personal identity, beyond clinical questioning or therapeutic challenge. This shift has left families and vulnerable individuals without clear guidance at the very moment clarity is most needed.”

Medical leadership has played a central role in this retreat. Rather than defending rigorous diagnosis and long-term risk assessment, professional bodies increasingly adopted euphemistic language, avoiding words such as “disorder” or “distress” in favour of affirming narratives. In doing so, they effectively abandoned their duty to weigh harm, risk, and irreversible outcomes. The result has been confusion, not compassion, and a clinical culture reluctant to speak honestly about long-term consequences.

“The move away from a mental-health framework was not accidental. In 2010, international organisations such as WPATH deliberately promoted “de-psychopathologisation”, reframing gender distress as a neutral human variation rather than a condition requiring psychiatric care. Governments and health services were encouraged to follow suit. What began as an attempt to reduce stigma evolved into a wholesale rejection of mental-health language altogether,” She added.

This redefinition has had serious consequences. By removing clinical caution, medical interventions with permanent effects were recast as routine and celebratory. Risks such as infertility, sexual dysfunction, bone density loss and chronic pain were marginalised.

Suspect attack JD Vance home transgender Democrat donor

US Vice-President J D Vance tells Europe's self-satisfied elite some home truths.
US Vice-President J D Vance tells Europe’s self-satisfied elite some home truths.

The collapse of clinical restraint has not occurred in a vacuum. Cultural narratives that frame identity as absolute and unquestionable increasingly spill into public life, sometimes with disturbing consequences.

This was evident in the recent attack on the home of US Vice President JD Vance, allegedly carried out by a transgender-identifying individual now facing multiple criminal charges. The incident was not merely an act of vandalism, but an escalation that raised serious questions about radicalisation and grievance politics.

The accused individual was not marginalised in the conventional sense. Reports indicate a background of considerable wealth, elite education, and political connections. This challenges the commonly repeated claim that extreme behaviour in such cases is driven solely by social exclusion or poverty. Instead, it raises the uncomfortable possibility that ideological certainty, when reinforced by institutional affirmation, can contribute to volatility rather than stability.

Public trust erodes further when political, media and institutional leaders appear unwilling to confront this complexity. By refusing to acknowledge the role of ideology in shaping behaviour, they leave society ill-equipped to respond when belief hardens into action.

English courts defy own ruling on trans toilets

Campaign group calls courts’ inaction absurd as single-sex provision remains unenforced
Campaign group calls courts’ inaction absurd as single-sex provision remains unenforced

Nowhere is institutional confusion more evident than in the response of English courts to their own legal rulings.

Despite a landmark Supreme Court judgment clarifying that “sex” in the Equality Act refers to biological sex, court authorities have continued to allow biological males into women’s toilets. This refusal to implement settled law has alarmed campaigners and undermined confidence in the justice system’s impartiality.

The courts’ explanation that they are awaiting further guidance from the Equality and Human Rights Commission has only deepened concern. The EHRC itself has stated that public bodies are expected to follow the law as it stands, not delay compliance indefinitely. That the courts, of all institutions, appear to be defying legal clarity has been described as both absurd and dangerous.

Women’s rights advocates warn that this reluctance to act places women at risk, particularly in enclosed and vulnerable spaces. The issue is not abstract. It concerns safety, dignity, and the principle that legal rulings should be applied consistently, not selectively. When law is treated as optional, public confidence fractures.

This episode reflects a broader failure of leadership. Ideological pressure has overridden legal duty, leaving taxpayers to fund institutions that refuse to uphold their own rules.

Convicted Islamist Murderer secures £240K Under ECHR Rules

Fuad Awale was transferred to a special separation unit for dangerous convicts after he and another convict ambushed a jail worker and threatened to kill him.

A convicted Islamist double murderer has been awarded £240,000 of public money after a High Court ruling found that his isolation in prison breached his human rights.

Fuad Awale, serving a life sentence for the execution-style killing of two teenagers in Milton Keynes, successfully claimed that being placed in solitary confinement following a hostage-taking incident caused him psychological harm.

The payout, agreed by David Lammy, Justice Secretary, includes £7,500 in compensation and more than £234,000 in legal costs following a High Court judgement which stated that: “there had been a significant degree of interference with the claimant’s private life”.

According to the Mail, Mr Lammy suggested in a letter dated 2 January 2026, that Ministers were considering changes in the law to prevent extremist criminals from using the European Convention on Human Rights (ECHR) as a “barrier to us protecting national security”.

Proverbs 17:15 He that justifieth the wicked, and he that condemneth the just, even they both are abomination to the LORD.

“A sick joke”

Robert Jenrick, the Conservative Shadow Justice Secretary, who obtained details of the payout in a letter from Mr Lammy, branded the decision a “sick joke”.

He said: “Labour are cowing to terrorists and the human rights brigade. They must introduce emergency legislation to carve these monsters out of the ECHR immediately. If they don’t, we will as soon as Parliament returns.”

Facts behind the claim

Mr. Awale was segregated after ambushing a prison officer, holding a sharp object to his throat, and threatening to kill him, explicitly referencing his previous murders.

Prison authorities transferred him to a separation unit to protect staff and prevent radicalisation.

Nevertheless, he later argued that this security measure interfered with his private life under Article 8 of the ECHR, a claim the court upheld despite acknowledging the seriousness of his offences.

The court heard Mr. Awale previously asked to associate with one of the Islamic extremist killers of Fusilier Lee Rigby – but was denied the request due to “counter-terrorism concerns”.

He and an accomplice also demanded the release of Qatada, a hate preacher who had been facing deportation to Jordan to face terror charges, as well as Roshonara Choudhry, who stabbed Labour MP Stephen Timms in 2010.

Awale was sentenced to a minimum of 38 years in prison in January 2013 aged 25 after shooting Mohammed Abdi Farah, 19, and Amin Ahmed Ismail, 18, in the head in a Milton Keynes alleyway over a drugs dispute.

A familiar pattern in modern Britain

Tommy Robinson.SkyeNews-PA
Tommy Robinson.SkyeNews-PA

This case follows a growing pattern in which violent or extremist offenders use human rights law to challenge the consequences of their own actions.

Similar claims have been brought by dangerous prisoners seeking association with known terrorists, privileges denied on security grounds, or damages for conditions imposed to keep others safe.

Another case saw far-right activist Stephen Yaxley-Lennon (Tommy Robinson) who sought legal permission to challenge his segregation at HMP Woodhill on the basis of harm to his mental health, though the High Court refused permission, ruling the regime did not constitute a human-rights breach because it was imposed for his protection and prison safety.

A further example involves a convicted murderer at HMP Full Sutton who received thousands in taxpayer-funded legal aid to argue that restrictions on his access to facilities such as the gym and library violated his ECHR rights, prompting criticism from political figures that human-rights challenges can constrain prison governors’ ability to isolate radicalising inmates

Additionally, in Sahayb Abu v Secretary of State for Justice, a High Court judge found that extended segregation without adequate assessment of mental health needs breached protections against inhuman or degrading treatment, illustrating the judiciary’s willingness to apply human-rights protections even in terrorism-related confinement contexts

These cases collectively highlight growing judicial engagement with prisoner rights that sometimes limits how the state manages dangerous individuals, and feeds public debate over whether the human-rights framework adequately balances individual rights with public safety.

Again and again, the system appears more responsive to the grievances of offenders than to the trauma of victims or the safety of those tasked with guarding them.

Ecclesiastes 8:11 Because sentence against an evil work is not executed speedily, therefore the heart of the sons of men is fully set in them to do evil.

What direction is the UK taking?

The deeper question raised by this case is not merely legal but moral. Why should taxpayers fund compensation for a man who murdered two youths, took a prison officer hostage, and espoused extremist beliefs?

Public money intended for justice, rehabilitation, and public protection is instead diverted to reward claims brought by those who have shown utter contempt for life and law.

This inversion of priorities raises serious doubts about whether the state still understands its duty to protect the innocent before appeasing the guilty.

Isaiah 10:1 Woe unto them that decree unrighteous decrees, and that write grievousness which they have prescribed.

The cost of human rights absolutism

British courts increasingly treat human rights as absolute entitlements, detached from responsibility or context.

In Awale’s case, segregation was imposed not as cruelty but as a proportionate response to extreme violence and credible terrorist risk. Yet the legal framework elevated the offender’s subjective distress above the objective need for prison safety and national security.

Justice becomes distorted when mercy is extended without truth, and compassion is applied without discernment.

Micah 6:8 What doth the LORD require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God?

What was left unsaid

Little has been said about the families of the two teenagers Awale executed, or about the prison officer who was pinned to a chair with a weapon at his throat.

Their suffering carries no financial remedy, no court-ordered acknowledgement. As ministers now suggest possible legal reforms to prevent extremists exploiting human rights law, the case stands as a stark warning: when the state prioritises the rights of the violent over the protection of the faithful and law-abiding, public confidence in justice is inevitably eroded.

Matthew 24:12  And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold.

Nanosermon Script:

Welcome to this Nanosermon on babies, sorry, foetuses, in the womb. While you’re finding the first chapter of the Gospel of Luke in your Bible, I’ll tell you the story so far.

Six months ago, Elisabeth, the wife of a Jewish priest named Zachariah, became pregnant, with his child, I hasten to add. That child would become known as John the Baptist. And just last week, her young cousin Mary, or Miryam, to give her Hebrew name, became pregnant by the power of the Holy Spirit with the Son of God, the Lord Jesus.

Babe leapt in Elizabeth’s womb

So we can now turn to Luke chapter one, and verse thirty-nine:
Luke 1:39 And Mary arose in those days, and went into the hill country with haste, into a city of Judah; 40 And entered into the house of Zachariah, and saluted Elisabeth.

Luke 1:41 And it came to pass, that, when Elisabeth heard the salutation of Mary, the babe leaped in her womb; and Elisabeth was filled with the Holy Ghost: 42 And she spake out with a loud voice, and said, Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb.

Luke 1:43 And whence is this to me, that the mother of my Lord should come to me?44 For, lo, as soon as the voice of thy salutation sounded in mine ears, the babe leaped in my womb for joy.

Luke 1:45 And blessed is she that believed: for there shall be a performance of those things which were told her from the Lord. (KJV)

Now this is astonishing. Not only Elisabeth, but first of all her baby, sorry, foetus, recognised a one-week-old embryonic Lord Jesus in Mary’s womb. Elisabeth was filled with the Holy Spirit. What spirit do we think John the Baptist was filled with? The same Holy Spirit, in the womb.

Abortionists play with language

Now, I’ve been messing around with language because you’ll know that when a woman goes for an abortion in today’s dysfunctional society, those selling her the abortion – you didn’t think the staff at Marie Stopes or British Pregnancy Advisory or Planned Parenthood are anything other than sales people, did you? – they’re in business to provide abortions. These empires might have charitable status but the bosses and staff don’t work for free.

Where was I? Oh, yes, they will tell her she has ‘products of conception’ or ‘a pregnancy’ or a ‘foetus’ in her uterus. Never a baby and never a womb. But if she attends the ante-natal clinic at the local hospital she’ll be told to stop smoking and cut down on alcohol ‘for baby’, not ’for foetus’.

Let’s do language. Foetus is a Latin word. It means ‘offspring’ or ‘young’, usually in the womb, but occasionally neo-natal. So it’s a poncy foreign word for baby and it’s used by those who want to obscure exactly what kind of being is growing deep inside the mother’s body. It’s a foetus, not a baby, you’ll be reassured to know.

John Baptist recognised embryonic Jesus

Suppose you referred to the contents of a box of matches by a Latin word like ‘igniens’, which means ‘fire lighter’ by the way. It’s an igniens in the box and it only becomes a match when you take it out? Sorry, guys, it’s the same inside as outside.

Doctor Luke in his chapter one uses the Greek word ‘brephos’ which means ‘infant’, either unborn or, once again, neo-natal, a young child. But a human being, that’s for sure. In the context of a human mother, it’s an unborn, or newly-born, human infant. So the King James translators rendered it correctly as ‘babe’, not ‘foetus’.

And you know, not one modern translation puts anything other than ‘baby’.
Take this away from this nanosermon. John the Baptist, as an unborn baby of twenty-six weeks’ gestation in Elisabeth’s womb recognised a one-week-old embryonic baby, the Lord Jesus, in the womb of Mary. I love that.

Jews or Muslims? Why Bondi Beach shows we cannot have both.

Bondi Beach Massacre targeted Jews celebrating the Hannukah festival.
Bondi Beach Massacre targeted Jews celebrating the Hanukkah festival.

The reaction of British politicians to the latest Muslim atrocity at Bondi Beach in Australia (also here on ABC news) tells us why we must pray the Lord raises up able, truthful, honest, humble men of God to lead us.

Once again, whether in Australia or the United Kingdom, those in office are desperate to preserve their multicultural dream together with their their positions and somehow shoehorn the murder of between fifteen and sixteen people on 14th December 2024 at the beach in Sydney into their fantasy of peaceful Islam.

In this article we shall tell you some uncomfortable truths and sound a warning against wishful thinking.

‘Diversity is our strength’

Let’s start with our very own Lola McEvoy MP.

Lola McEvoy, MP for Darlington UK (Labour)
Lola McEvoy, MP for Darlington UK (Labour)

In response to the killings, the Member of Parliament for Darlington (Labour) came out with: “Diversity is our strength”.

The Bondi Beach massacre is the worst terrorist attack in Australian history, and all she has is an empty slogan and the first-person possessive: “Our strength is our Diversity” is the strength in other words, of the multicultural godless Left.

That’s all they have.

The reality of “diversity” in Australia

On 9th October 2023, just two days after the worst massacre of Jews since the Holocaust, carried out near Gaza by the Hamas death-cult, a thousand-strong mob gathered outside Sydney Opera House, five miles from Bondi Beach, to chant gas the jews.

In August this year, a pro-Hamas mob streamed across Sydney Harbour Bridge chanting “Long live the intifada”, celebrating Muslim terrorism, and “Death to the IDF” (Israel Defence Forces). Some waved Gaza Palestinian flags, others the flag of al-Qaeda.

In July 2025, the East Melbourne Synagogue was set on fire with 20 worshipers, family members and children inside for a Shabbat meal.
The same night, over a dozen masked men wearing keffiyehs attacked an Israeli-owned restaurant, Miznon, in central Melbourne, shouting Death to the IDF, throwing chairs and smashing windows.

In December 2024, the Adass Israel Synagogue in Melbourne was destroyed in what police described as a terrorist attack. In January, police intercepted a caravan loaded with explosives intended to be detonated near a synagogue in Sydney. No wonder Australian Jews have been warning about an actual murderous attack for months.

Why won’t Lola ask why?

Our MP went on: “We don’t want to speculate on what the factors are that have contributed to this awful tragedy that seems to be of a huge scale.”

Of course she doesn’t. If she did, she would allow cats to tumble out of the multicultural bag. Because it is not even necessary to speculate.

All Lola needs to do is consult the Koran and the Hadith of the Muslim religion and she’ll find the answer. The Koran says Jews are in enmity to Muslims. They are classed as the worst of unbelievers.

Allah, we read, will defeat them:
Surah 3 verse 178 says Unbelievers will have a shameful punishment.
In Surah 4;101: Unbelievers are unto you open enemies.

Why observant Muslims murder Jews

It gets worse. The Hadith, or stories of Mohammed’s life and sayings, collected by his followers, are an essential part of the Mohammedan religion. Murderous antisemitism is written in to the Hadith of al-Bukhari.

It says:
“You (i.e. Muslims) will fight against the Jews and you will gain victory over them. The stones will (betray them) saying: O, Abdullah (i.e. slave of Allah)! There is a Jew hiding behind me; so kill him. (Sahih al-Bukhari 2926 Book 56, Hadith 139)

That is the reason observant Muslims murder Jews. It is commanded in their religion. Which makes it farcical when Aussie premier Anthony Albanese said in response to the shooting that his first priority would be ‘an examination of our gun laws’.

Alex Kleytman, who died protecting his wife.
Alex Kleytman, who died protecting his wife.

The man is seriously out of his depth. The bad guys will always find guns. Gun laws are not why Alex Kleytman, an 87-year-old Holocaust survivor, was murdered in front of his family. Or why a little girl, 10-year-old Mathilda, will soon be buried by her family and friends.

They were murdered because they were Jewish. And why cannot you trust the platitudes of Keir Starmer, Home secretary Shabana Mahmoud, deputy prime minister David Lammy or London mayor Sadiq Khan, presiding over two-and a-bit years of anti-Zionist, in truth, antisemitic, anti-Jew hate marches on his own doorstep?

It’s not just because they have never condemned those Islamo-left parades. Nor because Sir Keir has caused the United Kingdom to recognise the non-existent state of Palestine and has brought down upon us the Old Testament prophet Balaam’s curse on those who curse Israel:

Numb 24:9b … Blessed is he that blesseth thee, and cursed is he that curseth thee.

Australia’s Albanese did the same, and the curse there has not been long in falling.

Identity Politics

No, it’s also identity politics, in which Jews and Israel are seen as white, strong and rich, in comparison to residents of Gaza who they see as brown, weak and poor.

Palestinians, even the blood-thirsty Hamas oppressing and impoverishing their own people, are good guys, and Jews are bad guys in the warped thinking of the godless Left. And so, that is why Lola McEvoy cannot, will not, see what is staring her in the face.

The Bible says, through the prophet Zechariah:
Zech 8:16 These are the things that ye shall do; Speak ye every man the truth to his neighbour; execute the judgment of truth and peace in your gates.

Truth unleashed

The stark truth has been unleashed in all its horror since 7th October 2023. It’s looking increasingly as if we can have Jewish people living among us in peace and security, or Muslims. We cannot have both because of the violent antisemitism in Islam’s sacred texts.

If we choose Muslims, before very long there will be no Hindus or Sikhs either. And then, it’s anyone’s guess. Time’s up for multiculturalism, and time’s up for wishful thinking about millions of Muslims turning to Christ, or of a peaceful version of Islam being discovered. There is only one way out of the gathering judgment: our elite will need to proclaim our Christian constitution if only to remind certain folk that it’s not up for debate:

Rev 19:16 And he (Jesus) hath on his vesture and on his thigh a name written, KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS

We are looking ahead here, however the trend is inevitable. Unless our elite turn from godlessness and multiculturalism and affirm our Christian constitution and the Lord Jesus our nation is finished. The judgment will have fallen.

This is a spiritual battle

Why bring God and Jesus into it? Because this is a spiritual battle, as we saw from Balaam’s prophecy, and even if there is a change in government, wherever you are, the new lot will never do it in their own strength.

As well as sending back illegal migrants and Muslim criminals with dual citizenship, they must make clear that this is a Christian nation and that Islam is no longer welcome here. It is existential.

It seems strange that three hundred years after the last Muslims were evicted from Spain in 1727, over three hundred years after the Ottomans were defeated at the siege of Vienna in 1683, four hundred and sixty years after the defence of Christian Malta in 1565, here we are again, confronted by militant, expansionist, merciless Muslims.

It’s fashionable to say ‘Islam’ rather than ‘Muslims’ in such a context. But the sad and unavoidable truth, which you may only find here, is that Islam does not exist as some theoretical philosophy. It’s Muslims who do Islam. It’s Muslims who run drug rings and grooming gangs, it’s Muslim migrants who rape schoolgirls in broad daylight and it was four observant Muslims who murdered commuters In London in 2005. It’s observant Muslim doctors and nurses supporting Hamas.

Days after the Bondi Beach massacre, a Jewish menorah was smashed in London’s Muswell Hill, GB News reported. The local Rabbi said: “We’re going to continue adding in goodness and kindness, and when good people join together we far outnumber the haters.” Sadly, that’s no longer true. Muslims are 6.5% of the population, some 4 million strong. In March 2024, the Henry Jackson Society found ‘Only one in four British Muslims believe Hamas committed murder and rape in Israel on October 7th’ and ‘Only one in four British Muslims believe Israel has a right to exist as a Jewish homeland’. The haters are in the majority.

Jer 22:3 Thus saith the LORD; Execute ye judgment and righteousness, and deliver the spoiled out of the hand of the oppressor: and do no wrong, do no violence to the stranger, the fatherless, nor the widow, neither shed innocent blood in this place.

UK Ends Anti-FGM Aid Programme

Ending Government funding for FGM prevention programme
Ending Government funding for FGM prevention programme

Ending Government funding for FGM prevention programme
Government to halt funding for FGM prevention programme

Britain’s Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office has confirmed that it will end funding for its flagship anti-female genital mutilation programme, The Girl Generation – Africa-Led Movement to End FGM, by October 2026.

The decision follows wider cuts to overseas aid and brings to a close a scheme launched in 2014 amid much moral self-congratulation.

It is important to state plainly what this is and what it is not. The ending of this programme is a matter of fact, not necessarily a humanitarian disaster.

Despite years of funding, publicity, and NGO activity, there is no clear, independently verified evidence that the programme has significantly reduced FGM anywhere. Its work has focused largely on messaging, advocacy, and “norms change”, rather than enforcement of law or measurable protection of girls.

Christian Voice has long warned that foreign aid often entrenches dependency, fosters corruption, enriches intermediaries, and exports Western secular assumptions under the guise of compassion.

FGM suvivor responds

Nimco Ali OBE, an FGM survivor who co-founded The Five Foundation and former government advisor on women and girls, wrote in 2023 that too little of Britain’s aid was making it to those in need.

“I am on the frontline of the work the Foreign Office says it funds and I can tell you UK aid funding to ‘help end female genital mutilation’ (FGM) has no evidence that a penny given has actually saved a girl from FGM,” she wrote in the Evening Standard.

“It is really hard for me to say this because I am a supporter of UK aid, but the truth is what we give has never truly achieved what it could.”

Ms Ali instead advocates for funding to be given directly to grass-roots organisations on the ground, who know best how to tackle the problem.

Meanwhile, Sarah Champion, Chair of the International Development Committee and Sarah Owen, Chair of the Women and Equalities Committee, wrote to Baroness Chapman, the Minister of Development, arguing that cutting the funding would put women’s lives at risk.

The letter, made available to The Telegraph, said: “Ending the funding for such crucial work tracking FGM presents a serious risk to women and girls globally [and] compromises the safety of women and girls in the UK, who remain at risk of being taken abroad to undergo FGM.”

Aid, activism and the iIlusion of moral authority

The Girl Generation exemplifies many of the problems inherent in modern foreign aid. Vast sums are channelled through international agencies and consultancies, producing reports, conferences, and careers, while outcomes remain vague and unverifiable.

Where progress against FGM has occurred, it has more often been driven by local law enforcement, education, and religious teaching not Western branding exercises.

Yet such programmes allow British elites to posture as moral instructors to other nations. The aid cheque becomes a sermon, and Britain casts itself as enlightened while others are portrayed as barbaric.
Romans 2:21 Thou therefore which teachest another, teachest thou not thyself?

Ask us to come and speak at your church →

What does Britain actually stand for?

Imagine British officials lecturing African communities about genital abuse, only to be asked a simple question: Is the UK pro-sodomy? Pro-abortion? Pro-transgender ideology?

The question would not be unfair. Britain has aggressively promoted sexual libertinism, abortion, and gender confusion through diplomacy, education policy, and international pressure. These are not neutral exports. They are moral claims and profoundly anti-Christian ones.

James 1:8 A double minded man is unstable in all his ways.

The contradiction is stark. Britain condemns one set of cultural practices abroad while aggressively advancing others at home that undermine sexual morality, family life, and the created order.

From preaching against FGM to practising it at home

The gravest hypocrisy lies closer to home. While FGM remains illegal in the UK, the NHS itself is now involved in practices that meet the moral definition of genital mutilation, even if rebranded with sanitised language.

So-called “gender affirmation” surgeries involve the irreversible alteration or removal of healthy sexual organs.

Puberty blockers and cross-sex hormones damage fertility and sexual function. These are not fringe practices but are increasingly embedded within NHS policy.

Isaiah 5:20 Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil.

Britain lectures other cultures on protecting girls, while authorising medical harm to children in its own hospitals.

NHS ideology enforced, conscience suppressed

This moral inversion is enforced institutionally. NHS trusts now require staff to affirm gender ideology or face disciplinary action. Biological reality is treated as optional, while dissent is pathologised. Even court rulings affirming the law are resisted by activist lobbies determined to override sex-based protections.

Romans 12:2 Be not conformed to this world.

The NHS, once a place of care, is increasingly a vehicle for ideological enforcement — particularly where children are concerned.

A broader elite corruption of truth and the body

This is not an isolated issue. Across law, education, and healthcare, Britain’s ruling class has abandoned Christian moral foundations in favour of expressive individualism. Pornography is normalised.

Promiscuity is taught. Abortion is celebrated. Sexual difference is denied. Against this backdrop, lectures about FGM ring hollow.

Psalm 2:4 He that sitteth in the heavens shall laugh.

The problem is not that Britain has ended an aid programme. The problem is that Britain has lost the moral coherence required to speak credibly about bodily harm at all.

No moral leg to stand on

The end of the anti-FGM programme merely exposes a deeper truth. Britain’s elites cannot claim the mantle of moral leadership while promoting sexual chaos, mutilation, and confusion at home. Aid cannot substitute for righteousness, and slogans cannot replace truth.

Proverbs 23:23 Buy the truth, and sell it not.

For Christians, the task is clear: reject the false moralism of the age, defend the created order, protect children from all forms of abuse — whether practised in villages abroad or hospitals at home — and speak the truth without fear or compromise.

Nanosermon Script:

You may have heard the expression ‘Render unto Caesar’ and wondered what exactly it means. When the Lord Jesus said it, he meant ‘pay appropriate taxes to the Roman authorities’. And then he said ‘Render unto God the things that are God’s’. We have things of Caesar and things of God.

So you might think ‘Render unto Caesar’ means the church should have nothing to say to government, or even that the realm of the ‘secular’ Caesar is entirely separate from the realm of God. The realm of God. That’ll be the church and spiritual stuff.

That’s the position of secularists. They say God had just better ‘butt out’ of anything to do with actual ruling. And of course when they say the civil government is ‘secular’ they claim it for themselves and try to shut God and his people out.

But is that really what our Lord intended? What led to this ‘Render unto Caesar’ expression from the Lord Jesus? Turn, please, to the Gospel of Matthew chapter twenty-two. Let’s read from verse fifteen:

Matt 22:15 Then went the Pharisees, and took counsel how they might entangle him in his talk. 16 And they sent out unto him their disciples with the Herodians, saying, Master, we know that thou art true, and teachest the way of God in truth, neither carest thou for any man: for thou regardest not the person of men.

What’s really going on here?

They are provoking Jesus to say something fearless and get himself into trouble.

Verse seventeen:
Matt 22:17 Tell us therefore, What thinkest thou? Is it lawful to give tribute unto Caesar, or not?

This was actually a big issue at the time. Most of the Pharisees were opposed to giving Caesar any money at all. But you couldn’t say that in public, or you would be in a Roman jail for sedition. And no Pharisee would even touch the money.

You’ll see Jesus in a moment saying ‘shew me’ one of the coins. Not ‘give me’. The Rabbi from Galilee won’t touch it either.

Matt 22:18 But Jesus perceived their wickedness, and said, Why tempt ye me, ye hypocrites? 19 Shew me the tribute money. And they brought unto him a penny. 20 And he saith unto them, Whose is this image and superscription?

’the things that are God’s’

Matt 22:21 They say unto him, Caesar’s. Then saith he unto them, Render therefore unto Caesar the things which are Caesar’s; and unto God the things that are God’s. 22 When they had heard these words, they marvelled, and left him, and went their way.

Hmm. Give Caesar what is Caesar’s and give God what is God’s. How many things are Caesar’s, the realm of civil government. Well, the responsibility to maintain law and order, which the Apostle Paul in Romans 13 says is what the money is given for:

Rom 13:6 For this cause (maintaining law and order) pay ye tribute also: for they are God’s ministers, attending continually upon this very thing.

How many things are God’s?

Now then. How many things are God’s? Well, Psalm twenty-four verse one says:

Psalm 24:1 The earth is the LORD’S, and the fulness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein.

I think the Psalmist has just told us everything is God’s. Everything and everyone in the world. Civil rulers are responsible to God, just as much as Pastors and Bishops. Paul says in Romans chapter thirteen that every civil ruler is ‘the minister of God’, whether he admits it or not.

Christ puts Caesar in his place, under God

You see, that’s because all authority comes from God. As the Psalmist puts it, with no compromise at all:

Psalm 47:2 For the LORD most high is terrible; he is a great King over ALL the earth.

So this discourse in the Gospels does not tell God to keep out of Caesar’s realm at all. It does not limit God, it limits the state. It puts ‘Caesar’ in his place, under God. He has a God-given duty to maintain law and order.

It’s not the church, or its prophets, who have to butt out of government. We have a duty to call the government to account and tell rulers to rule in righteousness. No, it is the state that has to keep its nose out of the church.

If you know someone in the realm of Caesar, some king, or president, or member of parliament, or congressman, you can tell him all that. He might not thank you for it. But he needs to know.

How mixed-sex changing rooms are putting women at needless risk

In a culture increasingly hostile to God-ordained distinctions between male and female, the erosion of women’s protected spaces has become a predictable tragedy.

Newly released police statistics from England and Wales expose the cost of such ideological folly. At least 16 rapes, 80 sexual assaults, and 65 acts of voyeurism took place in mixed-sex changing rooms in 2023.

When women’s private spaces are opened to any man who simply asserts he belongs there, wicked men exploit the opportunity.

This should surprise no sober-minded person. Yet, according to research from the Women’s Rights Network, up to a third of Britain’s leisure centres now maintain changing rooms “open to everyone,” thereby placing women and girls in needless jeopardy.

Scripture teaches clearly that: A brother must not see his sister’s nakedness, likewise a sister must not see her brother’s nakedness. Such exposure is called wickedness and iniquity.

Leviticus 18:9 The nakedness of thy sister, the daughter of thy father, or daughter of thy mother, whether she be born at home, or born abroad, even their nakedness thou shalt not uncover.

Ephesians 5:11 Have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them.

The law allows protection, yet ideology discourages It

British law does not forbid single-sex changing facilities; indeed, when a space is labelled women-only, biological males must legally be excluded. But because institutions seek the praise of a secular culture intoxicated with gender confusion, many avoid creating single-sex provision altogether, opting instead for “gender-neutral” facilities to appear compliant with fashionable dogma.

The consequences are clear: in 2023, an average of three crimes per week were committed against women and girls in these mixed-sex spaces. Disturbingly, in nearly five per cent of cases, the perpetrator was a male staff member—the very people women might reasonably expect to trust.

Exodus 20:26 Neither shalt thou go up by steps unto mine altar, that thy nakedness be not discovered thereon.

Isaiah 5:20 Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil.

The human toll: Fear, violation, and withdrawal

The testimonies of victims reveal the deep emotional and spiritual harm produced by this reckless social experiment.

One teenage girl assaulted in a shower room admits that the scent of chlorine now triggers physical panic. Another woman, secretly filmed while undressed, fears that images of her naked body may now circulate online.

In 2024, two men were convicted of covertly filming more than 6,000 individuals, including children, across London and the south, trading those images on the internet. Women who simply wanted to swim or exercise now speak of abandoning these activities altogether, feeling disgraced and unprotected.

This is what happens when society refuses to guard the vulnerable.

John 10:10 The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy.

A crisis of trust and a culture of denial

According to the Women’s Rights Network, reported cases likely represent only a fraction of the real problem. Many victims no longer trust the police—relationships strained by years of poor handling of sexual-abuse cases.

Even when incidents are recorded, police data is often compromised by ideological pressure: officers frequently fail, or refuse, to list trans-identified offenders as biologically male. Thus, crimes committed by men are sometimes misleadingly categorised as “woman-on-woman” assaults.

A culture that prefers a comforting lie to an uncomfortable truth cannot properly protect its citizens.

Isaiah 59:14 Justice standeth afar off: for truth is fallen in the street.

The moral mandate to restore single-Sex spaces

A group of nurses from County Durham and Darlington Foundation Trust (CDDFT) have lodged an employment tribunal case for sexual discrimination and sexual harassment.
A group of nurses from County Durham and Darlington Foundation Trust (CDDFT) have lodged an employment tribunal case for sexual discrimination and sexual harassment.

Women who speak up for their dignity increasingly face institutional retaliation. Nurse Sandie Peggie, with 30 years of NHS experience, was suspended after objecting to sharing facilities with a male doctor while dealing with menstruation.

Likewise, Eight Darlington nurses, were disciplined for expressing concerns about a biological male in their changing room—even though one of them was a prior victim of sexual abuse. They were told to “re-educate” themselves. This is not compassion. It is coercion.

It is not bigotry to insist upon the preservation of single-sex spaces, it is the minimum a just society owes women in terms of safety, privacy, and dignity. A culture that asks women to swallow fear in order to placate confused or predatory men has lost its moral bearings.

Christians and all who value truth must champion rightful boundaries, speak plainly about biological reality, and defend the vulnerable without apology.

A society that abandons women to appease ideology is a society already in moral decline.

Psalm 82:4 Deliver the weak and needy: rid them out of the hand of the wicked.
