Labour confirms plans to ban ‘conversion therapy’

Labour has confirmed it will proceed with its pledged ‘trans-inclusive’ ban on ‘conversion therapy’ and ‘conversion practices’.
Announcing that work has begun on a ban, Sir Keir Starmer said it was ‘a promise that has lingered in the lobby of good intentions for far too long’.
While the specifics of the ban remain unclear, it is important to note that harmful physical ‘conversion practices’ do not happen in the UK and are already illegal.
Therefore, any ban on ‘conversion practices’ would primarily impact free speech, including consensual conversations, counselling, and even prayer.
The Bible says,
Isaiah 5:20 Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!

What is ‘conversion therapy’?
No one can define ‘gay conversion therapy’ or say where it is happening. Electric shock therapy hasn’t been offered here for fifty years, so is it just people chatting to one another?
Is it prayer and ministry for those who want to be free of same-sex desires? Is it explaining to a girl that climbing trees does not make you a boy?
Labour to finally ban puberty blockers

The Labour Party has adopted a stricter stance on transgender issues, with the ban on puberty blockers potentially being made permanent, according to the Telegraph.
Health Secretary, Wes Streeting, plans to prevent powerful hormone blockers from being given to children by any means, pending the outcome of a legal hearing.
Laws to ban the provision of these blockers to children by private or off-shore clinics were enacted by his predecessor, Victoria Atkins, through emergency legislation before the general election.
However, these laws are set to expire on September 3, requiring the new Government to decide on making the ban permanent. It is understood that Labour will now seek to renew the ban with the intention of making it permanent.
It took Dr. Cass’s review?
It is ridiculous to think that it took the Cass review to draw leaders attention to the dangers of injecting children with ‘hormone blockers’.

Health Secretary, Streeting said he would ‘always put the safety of children first’, adding: ‘Our approach will continue to be informed by Dr Cass’s review, which found there was insufficient evidence to show puberty blockers were safe for under-18s.
‘This ban brings the private sector in line with the NHS. We are committed to providing young people with the evidence-led care that they deserve.’
Meanwhile, JK Rowling backed the move in a number of posts on X, formerly Twitter, citing studies detailing reported negative effects of puberty blockers and praising Mr Streeting for doing the ‘right’ thing.
It comes after criticism of the party for its stance on women’s rights.

Cass’s review does not mean a complete ban?
MPs have criticised Heath secretary’s support for the ban of puberty blockers.
Stella Creasy, the Walthamstow MP, said while the review published earlier this year by the paediatrician Dr Hilary Cass recommended caution, this did not mean a complete ban.
Backbencher, Kim Johnson, who described the ban as ‘very concerning’.
‘Labour’s manifesto promised to ‘remove indignities for trans people who deserve recognition & acceptance’ – this entails ending the ban on puberty blockers,’ the MP for Liverpool Riverside said on X. ‘I will always stand with trans youth.’
However, there was backing for Streeting from the Labour MP, Rosie Duffield, who has said in the past that she felt ostracised by the party because of her views on gender reforms.
Labour’s stance on ‘LGBT’ issues
The UK government is under the leadership of a man who is unsure about the definition of a woman.
Sir Keir Starmer previously said for ‘99.9 per cent of women’ their womanhood is ‘completely biological’, before changing his perspective to match former prime minster Sunak’s viewpoint and saying a woman is an ‘adult female’.
Meanwhile, the government has been on the fence about gender. They are neither following the Bible or biology. Therefore, It is safe to assert that puberty blockers is part of ‘trans’ agenda.

It might be worth mentioning that puberty blockers is part of ‘trans’ agenda.
