Loophole in labour’s new puberty blockers ban

YORK, ENGLAND – APRIL 18: Wes Streeting,  Health Secretary,. (Photo by Ian Forsyth/Getty Images)

Despite a seemingly decisive ban on puberty blockers for under-18s, the government’s clinical trial loophole undermines its commitment to safeguarding vulnerable children.  According to an article on the Daily Mail, allowing children to participate in experimental trials amounts to exploitation, using children as “guinea pigs” to test the safety of unproven and harmful drugs.

Health Secretary Wes Streeting’s announcement of an indefinite ban acknowledged the risks associated with these drugs, citing “unacceptable safety risks” without proper safeguards. However, this is not a blanket ban.

Despite acknowledging there will be some who oppose it, Mr Streeting said plans for a clinical trial would go ahead, meaning children can sign up to have “puberty blockers” for research purposes.

By permitting clinical trials, the government opens a backdoor for the continued use of puberty blockers under the guise of research. This decision fails to address the core concern: the irreversible harm these drugs could cause to young, impressionable individuals.

Instead of a firm stance against unsafe medical practices, this loophole creates a moral and ethical contradiction. Jane, a mother whose son transitioned after being prescribed hormones, asks a chilling question in an interview with the Daily Mail: “Haven’t enough children already been damaged? Do they really need further evidence?”

The Bible says,
Mark 2:17 When Jesus heard it, He said unto them, “They that are whole have no need of the physician, but they that are sick. I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.”

Ethical failures in gender medicine trials

The clinical trial exemption exposes a troubling reality where children may become test subjects for “chemical castration agents.” Such trials could exploit vulnerable young people, undermining the very purpose of the ban on puberty blockers. The government’s justification—that clinical trials will provide evidence of safety—has been met with widespread scepticism.

The Family Education Trust, along with former Tavistock clinicians, warns of the ethical dangers in using children for research on highly controversial drugs. They argue that this loophole prioritises advancing medical data over the immediate well-being of children. Rather than protecting young people, the policy risks turning them into experimental data points for an unproven and harmful treatment.

The government must weigh the human cost of these trials. Continuing this research without definitive evidence of safety only deepens public mistrust and fuels calls for genuine child protection measures.

The salse safety of clinical trials

Keira Bell was prescribed puberty blockers aged 16, but later changed her mind over her decision to transition to a male.
Keira Bell was prescribed puberty blockers aged 16, but later changed her mind over her decision to transition to a male.

Government assurances that clinical trials will be “safely monitored” fail to address the broader ethical concerns. To describe these trials as safe while acknowledging unsafe prescribing practices creates a narrative riddled with contradictions.

The Commission on Human Medicines (CHM) itself identified the significant risks of puberty blockers. Yet, instead of taking decisive action to shield children, the government has opted for a half-measure that could perpetuate harm under the pretext of scientific advancement. This undermines the trust of families who rely on public health policies to safeguard their children.

The loophole sends a dangerous message: that children’s well-being can be compromised in pursuit of medical knowledge. Jane’s story serves as a harrowing reminder of the consequences, as she reflects on her son’s irreversible transition and asks whether more lives need to be “ruined” to validate what should already be clear.

Political posturing over child safety

The loophole in the puberty blockers ban reflects a troubling prioritisation of political appeasement over the welfare of children. Health Secretary Wes Streeting’s plan seems designed to quell both public outrage and demands for scientific evidence, yet it fails to deliver on either front.

By allowing clinical trials, the government continues to expose vulnerable young people to the same risks that warranted the initial ban. The decision lacks clarity and coherence, presenting a false narrative of safety while effectively perpetuating the same unsafe practices under a different name. Families seeking reassurance are left questioning whether political optics have overshadowed genuine reform.

Instead of bold action to protect children, the loophole reflects indecision and a failure to prioritise long-term welfare. Until the government addresses these ethical concerns head-on, its policies will remain mired in controversy and mistrust.

Puberty blockers to be banned indefinitely for under-18s across UK

Puberty blockers for under-18s will be banned indefinitely across the UK except for use in clinical trials, Labour has announced.

Wes Streeting, the health secretary, said that after receiving advice from medical experts, he would make existing emergency measures banning the sale and supply of puberty blockers indefinite.

The Department of Health and Social Care said the Commission on Human Medicines (CHM) had published independent expert advice that there was “currently an unacceptable safety risk in the continued prescription of puberty blockers to children”.

Mr. Streeting said the commission had recommended indefinite restrictions while work is done to ensure the safety of children and young people.

The NHS announced in March that children would no longer be prescribed puberty blockers at gender identity clinics, with the then Conservative government saying this would help ensure care was based on evidence and was in the “best interests of the child”.

In May, that government introduced a ban on puberty blockers through emergency legislation, preventing the prescription of the medication from European or private prescribers and restricting NHS provision to within clinical trials.

A challenge to that ruling, brought by campaigners who said they were concerned for the safety and welfare of young trans people in the UK, failed in July when the high court ruled that the ban was lawful.

Puberty blockers ban extended to Scotland and Northern Ireland

The North’s Health Minister Mike Nesbitt said Executive agreement had been reached on the progression of legislation to include Northern Ireland in a UK ban on puberty blockers for children with “gender dysphoria”.

Mr Nesbitt said young people in Northern Ireland will have “equitable access” to NHS trials to determine the safety and effectiveness of puberty blocker drugs.

The government at Holyrood has said the ban will be followed in Scotland.

The Scottish government confirmed that since medicines policy was reserved to Westminster, the ban would apply across England, Scotland and Wales.

A Victory for child welfare

After months of debate and delay, the government’s decision to ban puberty blockers for individuals under 18 marks a significant step toward prioritising child welfare and safeguarding. This move acknowledges the complexities and potential consequences of medical interventions in minors, placing an emphasis on caution and responsibility.

The decision reflects growing concerns from medical professionals, parents, and advocacy groups who have questioned the long-term impacts of these treatments. Puberty blockers, once heralded as a reversible solution, have faced scrutiny for their potential to cause irreversible physical and psychological effects.

By enacting this ban, the government signals a commitment to ensuring that decisions regarding gender identity and medical treatment are made with maturity and thorough understanding.

Ask us to come and speak at your church →

The long road to accountability

The indefinite ban underscores a hard-earned acknowledgement of past oversights in healthcare policy. For years, critics have pointed out the lack of comprehensive research and rigorous oversight surrounding these treatments. The government’s delayed response has finally yielded a solution that prioritises scientific evidence and patient safety.

Medical ethics demand that interventions, especially those affecting children, be approached with utmost caution. This ban demonstrates a renewed commitment to ethical standards, reflecting findings from independent reviews and medical studies. It also serves as a wake-up call for institutions to prioritise rigorous assessments over ideological pressures when shaping healthcare policies.

This decisive action reinforces the principle of “do no harm,” particularly vital when dealing with adolescents who may not fully comprehend the ramifications of medical decisions. By requiring more robust support systems and stricter guidelines, the government aims to foster an environment where long-term well-being outweighs immediate gratification.

A Model for Future Policy

The government’s decision sets a precedent for tackling sensitive issues with a balance of compassion and caution. This ban highlights the importance of thorough deliberation, scientific evidence, and moral responsibility in shaping public policy.

This move could inspire similar reassessments in other areas of healthcare, particularly where treatments intersect with contentious social debates. Policymakers must continue to prioritise evidence-based decisions, fostering trust among the public and ensuring that vulnerable groups receive the protection they deserve.

Ultimately, the government’s long-overdue decision reflects a commitment to the future, ensuring policies that truly serve the best interests of children and society.

A church has begun hosting WWE-style wrestling shows in a bid to attract more congregants, according to the Daily Mail.

St Peter’s Church in Shipley has started hosting Kingdom Wrestling – a Christian professional wrestling charity which combines their show with prayer, worship and testimony.

The charity began hosting the shows at Fountains Church in Bradford, where founder Gareth ‘Angel’ Thompson built a training school for adults in 2021.

The Church’s sacred identity at risk

The Church is, fundamentally, a sacred space dedicated to worship, prayer, and community support.

Introducing WWE-style wrestling, with its theatrical aggression and entertainment-first ethos, risks undermining this identity. While creative outreach is vital for engaging with modern society, the Church must be cautious not to dilute its spiritual mission for the sake of attracting congregants.

Turning a sanctuary into an arena blurs the line between reverence and spectacle, potentially alienating traditional worshippers who find solace in the Church’s contemplative atmosphere.

This initiative may inadvertently send a message that the Church is willing to compromise its sacred character to remain culturally relevant. The long-term implications could weaken the Church’s standing as a moral and spiritual guide, replacing its authority with the transient appeal of popular entertainment. This approach, while innovative, needs to weigh the cost of such trade-offs.

The BIble says,
1 Corinthians 3:17 If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are.

Wrestling as a distractive outreach

Reuters: Female wrestlers Kiara and Leonie Rose compete the during Kingdom Wrestling Toyal Rumble at St Peter's Church.
Reuters: Female wrestlers Kiara and Leonie Rose compete the during Kingdom Wrestling Toyal Rumble at St Peter’s Church.

Wrestling, with its inherent performative violence and competitive dynamics, could detract from the Church’s core message of peace, love, and reconciliation. Even if used as a metaphor for spiritual struggles, the medium risks overwhelming the message.

Attendees may focus more on the entertainment aspects than on the spiritual lessons, leading to a commodification of faith rather than its deepening.

By choosing wrestling as an outreach strategy, the Church risks reducing worship to a secondary activity—something that occurs around the entertainment rather than the central focus. The question remains: does such an approach truly convert hearts, or does it merely provide fleeting amusement? If entertainment becomes the primary draw, congregants may not engage with the faith’s deeper transformative aspects.

Our Lord said,
Romans 14:17 For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost.

The slippery slope of expanding secular activities

Once the Church opens its doors to wrestling, where does it draw the line? What’s next—karaoke nights, beer festivals, or stand-up comedy shows? While these may attract people, they may also erode the distinction between the sacred and the secular. The Church risks becoming another venue for events, rather than a unique refuge for spiritual and moral guidance.

Furthermore, hosting such activities may embolden critics to question the Church’s commitment to its doctrines. When sacred spaces are used for activities perceived as incongruent with their purpose, the institution’s credibility and authority come under scrutiny. At what point does innovation become trivialisation?

The Bible says,
1 John 2:15-17 Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him…For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.

Alienation of Core Congregants

Introducing wrestling into the Church could alienate long-standing members who value the traditional aspects of worship. For many, the Church is a place of quiet reflection and spiritual renewal, and replacing this with loud, theatrical events risks pushing these individuals away.

Declining attendance post-pandemic already indicates a fragile connection for some; further disruptions could exacerbate the trend.

The Church should instead focus on enriching its traditional practices to address modern challenges. Bible study groups, outreach programs, and community service initiatives can provide meaningful engagement without compromising the sanctity of the space. Wrestling, while innovative, might not align with what most existing congregants seek.

Wrestling with the long-term impact

While Kingdom Wrestling has drawn attention and even led to baptisms, its sustainability as a spiritual initiative remains unproven. Once the novelty wears off, will attendees stay for the faith or move on to the next entertainment option? Faith, unlike wrestling, is a lifelong commitment that requires spiritual discipline and growth—qualities not easily cultivated in an arena setting.

The Church must critically evaluate whether such initiatives align with its long-term mission. While growth in numbers is important, spiritual depth and integrity are paramount. Wrestling might draw crowds, but fostering genuine faith requires a more intentional and sacred approach.

New churches are dropping the word ‘church’

The Church of England building

In August 2024, a report found that the Church of England is increasingly dropping the word “church” in favour of “relevant and modern-sounding” descriptions such as “community”, a new study suggests.

The Anglican church appeared to be increasingly avoiding the word “church” when discussing the creation of new worshipping communities and congregations according to the report.

The Centre for Church Planting Theology and Research looked at the language used by 11 dioceses to describe new churches.

The creation of a new church group is traditionally referred to as a “church plant”. But the report found that while 900 new churches had been started by the dioceses in the past decade, none had used the phrase “church plant” as the primary way to describe the project.

Church of England spending “excessively” on politicised roles

0
The Church of England building
The Church of England building

The Church of England is overspending on HR and “politicised roles” such as diversity, sodomy and Net Zero officers at the expense of parishes, according to the Telegraph.

Research by the think-tank Civitas found that a “managerial turn” in the Anglican church in the past two decades had left ordinary parishes “struggling to survive”.

The report said the Church’s 42 dioceses had taken on “large numbers of staff” since the turn of the millennium while merging parishes and reducing clergy numbers to cut costs.

These administrative positions include human resources jobs and a series of “politicised roles” such as diversity, social justice, LGBT and net zero officers, the report found.

Expansion of bureaucracy

The expansion of CoFE’s bureaucracy has reached astonishing levels. On average, dioceses employ one administrator for every three-and-a-half priests, diverting resources away from the spiritual and community-focused mission of the Church. The Diocese of Truro exemplifies this disparity, with 39 administrative officers overseeing just 41 clerics. Such mis-allocation of funds and personnel raises serious concerns about the Church’s priorities in supporting its foundational parish model.

The financial implications are stark. Administrative costs now consume 21% of diocesan budgets, nearly double the proportion spent by prominent charities like Oxfam and the RNLI.

This unsustainable focus on centralised management undermines the very essence of parish communities, which are rapidly disappearing under the weight of institutional inefficiency and mismanagement.

Ask us to come and speak at your church →

The Decline of Parish Life

The Civitas report paints a bleak picture of the Church of England’s shifting focus, with millions directed towards bureaucracy while parishes face diminishing resources. Author Oxfam and the Esmé Partridge warns that the cuts to clergy numbers leave remaining priests overstretched, covering increasingly larger geographical areas. This erosion of local clergy presence is a direct threat to the Church’s role as a cornerstone of community life and heritage.

Against claims that the parish model is outdated, the report argues for its revival as a vital source of tradition and solidarity. Parishes provide sanctity and a sense of belonging, yet their decline risks the Church’s ability to meet the spiritual and practical needs of communities. The Civitas findings suggest that the Church’s priorities are out of step with its historic mission and the expectations of its congregants.

Further evidence of misplaced investment lies in the Church’s strategic mission schemes, which often result in the merging of parishes. In one example from Wigan, the Diocese of Liverpool spent £1.2 million reorganising churches into hubs and worship communities in non-traditional settings. The project, far from revitalising engagement, led to a 30% decline in church attendance and a one-third reduction in congregational donations, demonstrating the failure of these experimental approaches.

The Cost of bureaucratic bloat

The Church of England’s bureaucratic expansion has drawn criticism for prioritising administration over ministry. With diocesan offices swelling in size and scope, traditional parish churches are left to shoulder the burden of dwindling clergy and resources. This bureaucratic obsession is not only draining funds but also eroding the Church’s spiritual presence in local communities.

One of the report’s most damning findings is the Church’s divergence from the financial prudence seen in major charities. Administrative expenses account for an alarming 21% of diocesan budgets, dwarfing the 10-12% spent by organisations like Oxfam and the RNLI. This disproportionate allocation betrays a lack of accountability and a disregard for the primary mission of the Church: serving its parishioners.

The implications of this managerial drift are profound. As parishes merge and clergy numbers dwindle, the Church’s local presence is fading, jeopardising its ability to provide community support, charity, and spiritual guidance. The Civitas report’s call to revive the parish system as a bastion of tradition and community solidarity should serve as a wake-up call. Without urgent reform, the Church risks alienating its congregants and losing its relevance in the fabric of British society.

SNP Leader forced to admit that men cannot become pregnant

Scotland’s First Minister, John Swinney.
Scotland’s First Minister, John Swinney.

Scotland’s First Minister, John Swinney, has publicly acknowledged that men cannot become pregnant, according to the Telegraph. Yet, in an astonishing contradiction, the Scottish Government’s lawyers argued the opposite before the Supreme Court.

Ruth Crawford KC – acting for SNP ministers – “told the Supreme Court that people who obtain a gender recognition certificate (GRC) are entitled to the same protections under law as biological women”.

On the 26th of November, Women Scotland, represented by Aidan O’Neill KC, argued in court that the Gender Recognition Act (2004) law was later superseded by the Equality Act of 2010.

But Ruth Crawford KC told the court there was “no express measure” in the Equality Act to affect the GRA’s wording that a certificate changes someone’s sex, “nor is it implied by the purpose of the act”.

The absurdity of this claim has not gone unnoticed. Critics, including For Women Scotland, have called it a “fantasy of legal fiction.”

They maintain that sex is an immutable biological reality, not a concept malleable by administrative documentation. Despite this, the Scottish Government appears determined to entangle itself in convoluted arguments, obfuscating a straightforward issue: pregnancy is, and always has been, a uniquely female biological function.

The Bible says,
Genesis 21:1-23 And the Lord visited Sarah as he had said, and the Lord did unto Sarah as he had spoken…For Sarah conceived, and bare Abraham a son in his old age, at the set time of which God had spoken to him…And Abraham called the name of his son that was born unto him, whom Sarah bare to him, Isaac.

Support Christian Voice →

Gender Recognition Certificates and their impact

The Scottish Government’s lawyers insist that GRCs grant individuals the full legal status of the acquired gender, even in contexts where biological distinctions are crucial. For example, a person born female who gets mutilated and receives a “male GRC” could still become pregnant. Yet, in this scenario, they would legally be considered male, leading to the ludicrous assertion of “pregnant men.”

For Women Scotland
For Women Scotland

The ramifications are profound. For Women Scotland warns that the legal fiction created by GRCs undermines protections for biological women. If a biological female holding a male GRC is no longer legally recognised as a woman, she could lose access to rights such as maternity leave.

Similarly, the recognition of biological males with female  “so-called gender recognition certificates”  as women would threaten the integrity of single-sex spaces, including women’s refuges, changing rooms, and prisons.

These changes prioritise ideological commitments over practical and biological realities.

The Bible says,
Psalm 113:9 He maketh the barren woman to keep house, and to be a joyful mother of children. Praise ye the Lord.
Ask us to come and speak at your church →

The case against legal fictions

For Women Scotland’s legal challenge underscores the incompatibility of the GRA with the Equality Act 2010, which treats women and transgender individuals as distinct protected categories. The campaign group argues that conflating the two erases critical distinctions and jeopardises women’s rights. A stark example is the claim that women-only associations would be compelled to admit biological males with female GRCs, even if they identify as “lesbians”. This legal framework could effectively dismantle safe spaces designed specifically for women.

Russell Findlay, the Scottish Conservative leader, labelled the government’s arguments as “madness” and a waste of public funds. Joanna Cherry KC, a prominent lawyer and former SNP MP, expressed her disbelief at the government’s insistence on arguing against biological reality in court.

These criticisms highlight the government’s prioritisation of ideological self-ID policies over the rights and safety of women.

Broader implications for the UK

The Supreme Court’s decision on this case will have far-reaching consequences across the UK. If GRCs are upheld as changing legal sex “for all purposes,” the implications will extend beyond Scotland. “Transgender” individuals could gain access to single-sex spaces and protections designed for biological women, fundamentally altering the purpose of these safeguards.

Scottish Government lawyers have argued that such conflicts should be resolved by Parliament, not the courts. Yet, their case underscores the inherent contradictions in the GRA and its application. By blurring the lines between sex and gender, the government risks creating legal and social chaos.

It places the ideological preferences of a minority above the rights of biological women, compromising both common sense and public trust.

Even the Bible says, Psalm 139:13-18 For thou hast possessed my reins: thou hast covered me in my mother’s womb.

Why this is a terrible idea

The Scottish Government’s approach to gender recognition reflects a troubling detachment from biological and legal reality. By asserting that GRCs can redefine sex, they undermine the Bible but also the very protections designed to ensure fairness and safety for women. This not only dilutes the meaning of sex-based rights but also sows confusion in critical areas like healthcare, employment, and law.

Moreover, the government’s willingness to spend vast sums of taxpayer money defending these indefensible positions is an affront to public accountability. The prioritisation of ideological dogma over practical governance highlights a dangerous drift in policy-making. Far from promoting equality, this approach erodes trust in institutions and jeopardises the hard-won rights of women.

Scotland’s leadership must reconsider its stance. Acknowledging biological reality is not only a matter of common sense but also essential for preserving the integrity of law and society. The pursuit of ideological purity at the expense of women’s rights and public funds is a path fraught with peril—one that Scotland cannot afford to tread.

Boots’ woke 2024 Christmas ad

0

Boots’ 2024 Christmas ad has sparked outrage for its ‘woke’ agenda.

Social media users have accused the ad of promoting a ‘woke monstrosity’ rather than celebrating the time-honoured Christian festival.

The inclusion of ‘gender-neutral’ pronouns at the end of the ad led some social media users to call for a boycott, labelling the campaign as a departure from the essence of a classic British Christmas.

This reaction illustrates the growing frustration with corporate advertisements becoming politicised.

The backlash intensified due to the casting of Adjoa Andoh as ‘Mrs. Claus’. Online critics argued that Boots’ decision to cast her, alongside the ad’s broader emphasis on ‘inclusivity’, and ‘diversity’, alienated traditional viewers. Detractors viewed the campaign as prioritising social messaging over festive joy, with many describing it as an unnecessary shift from beloved Christmas traditions.

The ad even promoted trans ideology with ‘Oh that’s very them’ at the end.

Social media users labelled the ad as political, calling for boycott of the brand.

Boots Ad politically motivated?

The backlash has been fuelled not only by the content of the ad but also by Andoh’s past public comments on racial diversity, which resurfaced during the campaign.

It is therefore not out of place to say that Boots’ casting decision was politically motivated and that they simply did not care if they alienated their customer base. Customers for Boots seem to be a problem whose attitudes must be subjecdt to education.

Naturally, supporters of the ad applauded Boots for showcasing a modern re-imagining of holiday traditions.

While some argue these initiatives are necessary for representation, others view them as performative or even divisive. The polarised response to Boots’ campaign reveals their problem. Are their advertising department there to sell product and benefit their shareholders, or is it there to satisfy the prejudices of its staff?

Petition: Stop Transgenderism Now!

Yet to watch the ad? Here it is!

Christmas NOT gender war

The idea of turning Christmas into a platform for so-called ‘woke agendas’ dilutes the essence of what Christmas represents. It’s the celebration of the birth of Jesus Christ in a constitutionally-Christian country. Christmas, at its core, is a deeply spiritual and religious occasion cherished for centuries by Christians around the world. Its traditions are rooted in the values of love, sacrifice, and redemption, as exemplified by the life and teachings of Christ. Above all, it tells us that God humbled himself to become part of his creation and partake in our human condition, in order to reconcile mankind to himself.

The Bible says,
John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

By focusing on ‘woke’ themes, companies trivialise both the faith on which our nation was built and the failed causes their staff aim to highlight. Christmas is not a backdrop for activism or progressive messaging; it is a sacred occasion that calls for reverence and reflection.

The Bible says,
2 Corinthians 9:15 Thanks be unto God for his unspeakable gift.

If brands truly wish to engage with Christmas, they should at the very least remember ‘the reason for the season’ and emphasise themes like humility, faith, compassion, charity, and hope, which are aligned with the teachings of Christ.

They should never overlook the deep spiritual and historical roots of Christmas. Respecting its origins and celebrating it authentically the Lord himself as well as the millions who hold this holiday dear as a time to reflect on their faith and the birth of our Saviour.

The elite taking farmers’ fields

Farmers are protesting.

In her budget, delivered on 31st October 2024, UK Chancellor of the Exchequer, Rachel Reeves, increased inheritance tax, bringing people’s hard-earned pensions into the mix, and starting a land-grab on farms.

This is not ‘politics’, it’s prophecy!

Farmers are protesting.
Farmers are protesting.

What am I doing talking about politics? Well, let’s have one thing straight. The Lord is God of all. He demands obedience to his ways from rulers. They can’t just bring in any old law. From Proverbs chapter twenty-one:

Prov 21:3 To do justice and judgment is more acceptable to the LORD than sacrifice. (KJV)

So this isn’t politics. This is prophecy. It’s exposing injustice and unrighteousness, exactly as did the prophets of old, who are the example we are told to follow.

What does scripture say about inheritance tax? It’s condemned. Here’s the prophet Micah pronouncing woe on the leaders of his age and every age:

Micah 2:1 Woe to them that devise iniquity, and work evil upon their beds! when the morning is light, they practise it, because it is in the power of their hand.
Micah 2:2 And they covet fields, and take them by violence; and houses, and take them away: so they oppress a man and his house, even a man and his heritage.

Death tax is under what authority?

We have grown so used to inheritance tax in this country we never question if it is of God or of the devil. So let us ask a very basic question:

If you have worked all your life, paid taxes on your income, what gives the state any authority under heaven to come back for another slice when you die? It’s oppressing a man and his heritage, exactly what the man of God, writing under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, condemned.

Nigel, the late Lord Lawson, introduced modern inheritance tax in 1986.
Nigel, the late Lord Lawson, introduced modern inheritance tax in 1986.

Inheritance tax in the UK is a fairly modern invention. You can trace its history back to probate and succession duties introduced in the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries to pay for wars.

But inheritance tax itself was brought in by chancellor Nigel Lawson only in 1986. Today, when an estate reaches the threshold, which today is easier to do than ever, its rate stands at 40%. Zero percent would be biblical.

Mr Lawson, and every chancellor since, recognised that agricultural land needed exemption. The reason is that farm land is valued out of all proportion to what anyone can make by actually working it. So agricultural property may be passed on down the generations free of inheritance tax.

Farmers will have to sell land to pay

Under the proposal from Ms Reeves, the first £1,000,000 of value will be exempt, then 20% rather than forty percent will be imposed on the rest. The same death tax is going to apply to property in all family businesses.

The Telegraph reports Rachel Reeves saying she ‘can’t afford to let farmers die tax-free’. There’s no appeal to any possible morality of the decision. The money raised will be less than £500m, only enough to run the NHS for a day and a bit. But the effects of family firms will be catastrophic.

Jeremy Clarkson and Kaleb Cooper, the stars of Clarkson’s Farm are expected to attend protests

The average size of a farm in England is 220 acres. They are larger in Scotland, smaller in Wales and Northern Ireland. Assuming £10,000 per acre, and adding in the buildings, the value of that average English farm could reach £2.5m.

So, subtracting Rachel’s threshold, £1.5m will be taxable at 20%. The family will be forced to pay £300,000. Their disposable income after all their expenses of feed, vets, repairs and machinery might only amount to fifty thousand.

That’s a lot less than the £74,000 Rachel Reeves and her husband receive in rent from their two houses which they currently let out, by the way. They are sitting pretty. The farming family on the other hand won’t be able to pay the inheritance tax. They will have to sell all or part of the land.

Keir Starmer and Rachel Reeves entertain Bill Gates and Mark Suzman, CEO of the Gates Foundation, in Downing Street in October 2024.

Now who did Keir Starmer and Rachel Reeves entertain in Downing Street a couple of weeks ago, on 17th October? Step forward Bill Gates and the Chief Executive Officer of the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, one Mark Suzman. And who is now the biggest owner of farmland in the United States? It’s Bill Gates.

Micah 2:2 And they covet fields, and take them by violence; and houses, and take them away: so they oppress a man and his house, even a man and his heritage.

You will feel the effects. Food prices will rise. Our food security will be further imperilled. There could even be shortages. The word of God promises an obedient nation:

Deut 11:15 And I will send grass in thy fields for thy cattle, that thou mayest eat and be full.

But we are a rebellious nation, whose leaders do not care about food security for ordinary people. So he won’t.

Strange, isn’t it, these days, we feel we have to impress upon you the effect of this inheritance tax imposition on you and your lifestyle, rather than just say: ‘Guys, this is unjust, isn’t it?’

What was it German pastor Martin Niemöller said?

Running through a list of groups of whom he was not a member, communists, trade unionists, he finished with: ‘Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out—because I was not a Jew. Then they came for me—and there was no one left to speak for me.’

Farmers begin protests

Last weekend (16/11/2024) farmers led by North Wales activist and hill farmer Gareth Wyn Jones turned up on their tractors to protest at the Welsh Labour Party conference in Llandudno. Despite senior figures claiming they ready to talk to the farmers, no-one came out of the conference to do so.

The Independent reports Mr Jones accused Keir Starmer of ‘fleeing like a rat back to London’ when the Prime Minister was spirited out of a rear door into his car.

Meanwhile, farming minister Daniel Zeichner MP (Cambridge) urged farmers to ‘look calmly’ at the government’s plans and insisted ‘the vast majority will be fine’. Claims that thousands of families would be affected were ‘extraordinary’, he said.

That has not gone down well. Even the moderate National Farmers Union (NFU), described his announcement as a ‘miscalculation… which demonstrates a fundamental lack of understanding of how farming is shaped and managed’.

According to the Telegraph, Labour peer Baroness Mallalieu said the party had become too ‘urban’ to understand the impact of its tax raid on farmers.

As we went to press, more militant farmers were determined to descend on London and Cardiff on Tuesday 19th November. Attendees were expected to include Jeremy Clarkson and Kaleb Cooper, the stars of Clarkson’s Farm.

‘Breastfeeding men’ mocks motherhood

0

Motherhood has long been regarded as one of the most profound and sacred roles bestowed upon humanity. From nurturing life within the womb to sustaining it through breastfeeding, mothers embody an unparalleled connection to creation itself.

Yet this divine calling is now under attack, trivialised by efforts to replace its essence with a poor imitation.

A recent decision by La Leche League (LLL),, a long-standing breastfeeding charity, to support the idea that men can ‘breastfeed’, despite the obvious lack of biological capability, strikes at the heart of this sacred role.

Marian Tompson: resigned from La Leche League in protest.
Marian Tompson: resigned from La Leche League in protest.

In a press statement dated 14th November, the directors say: ‘LLL International as an organisation has moved towards a policy that includes supporting transwomen (biological males) to lactate and feed their child. This is an ongoing discussion that is taking place within LLLGB as well, and our volunteers have a variety of strong views.’

The Bible often uses breastfeeding as a metaphor. For example:
Isaiah 66:11 That ye may suck, and be satisfied with the breasts of her consolations; that ye may milk out, and be delighted with the abundance of her glory. (KJV)

In prioritising ideology over biology, society risks severing the timeless bond between mother and child, replacing a God-ordained act of love with a hollow political statement.

The NHS, which Boris Johnson encouraged people to clap for during the Covid lockdown, is now promoting, in a special page on its website, what it calls ‘Chestfeeding if you’re trans or non-binary’. ‘Chestfeeding is feeding your baby with milk from your chest’, it solemnly explains.

Feeding fantasies

The idea of breastfeeding transcends mere nourishment; it represents the deep, instinctive connection between mother and child. But the nourishment is nevertheless the vital element. The infant receiving food from the mother is part of the divine order, the eternal laws of God:

Psalm 22:9 But thou art he that took me out of the womb: thou didst make me hope when I was upon my mother’s breasts.

Miriam Main, former LLL trustee

To distort this act by allowing men to mimic breastfeeding through artificial means is therefore to demean the very foundation of maternal care.

Marian Tompson, a  trustee at LLL who dedicated her life to preserving the sanctity of breastfeeding, has now distanced herself from the organisation she helped build, citing its indulgence “in adult fantasies over scientific reality”.

The Free Speech Union reports that fellow trustee Miriam Main, LLLGB’s PR director, has also resigned, saying ‘she refused to help biological men “perform a poor imitation of breastfeeding”, which she said put babies’ safety at risk’.

The Bible’s wisdom literature warns us of such folly:
Eccl 10:1 Dead flies cause the ointment of the apothecary to send forth a stinking savour: so doth a little folly him that is in reputation for wisdom and honour.

By attempting to rewrite the natural order, La Leche League risks undermining the profound work of countless women and eroding the trust of those who need genuine support during the most vulnerable times of their lives.

Ask us to come and speak at your church →

The rise of false shepherds

Across generations, women have relied on organisations like La Leche League to advocate for their unique needs and experiences.

Yet today, those entrusted with defending women’s interests are turning their backs on them. In seeking to appease the trans lobby, LLL has embraced policies that prioritise the desires of some self-absorbed men over the biological realities of women.

The breastfeeding metaphor is all through scripture. Here it is in the Song of Solomon:
Song 8:1 Oh that thou wert as my brother, that sucked the breasts of my mother! when I should find thee without, I would kiss thee; yea, I should not be despised.

By choosing to amplify the voices of those who can never fully understand or experience the maternal bond, LLL has sold its mission for the proverbial mess of pottage. Women deserve representation that affirms their lived realities and honours the sacred labour of motherhood, not leaders who abandon them for fleeting political trends.

Petition: Stop Transgenderism Now!

Betraying Eve

The assault on womanhood is no longer news, but its modern manifestations have become increasingly brazen.

From the denial of biological realities like childbirth and breastfeeding to the growing societal push to erase the distinctions between male and female, the unique challenges and triumphs of women are being sidelined.

The departures of trustees Marian Tompson and Miriam Main highlight the heartbreak of watching institutions built to protect women’s interests turn into politically-correct platforms for ideological experimentation. Gender roles are part of God’s created order, emphasised by his judgements in the Garden of Eden:

Genesis 3:16 Unto the woman he said, I will greatly multiply thy sorrow and thy conception; in sorrow thou shalt bring forth children; and thy desire shall be to thy husband, and he shall rule over thee.

The judgment is not an inconvenience but a reflection of a divine design that honours women’s role in the cycle of life. To mock this is to undermine the very essence of womanhood, robbing mothers of the respect and dignity they deserve.

The price of playing God

When organisations prioritise adult desires over the well-being of children, the results are not just disappointing—they are destructive.

By promoting male pseudo-lactation without understanding its implications for infant health, La Leche League undermines the trust placed in it by vulnerable families.

This shift signals a broader cultural trend of placing personal fantasies over the sacred responsibility of nurturing future generations.

Gal 6:7 Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.

The Apostle warns our choices ripple across generations. The decision to indulge in ideological experimentation at the expense of children’s well-being is not only irresponsible but a moral failure. The sacred act of breastfeeding must remain a testament to the unique and irreplaceable role of mothers, not a platform for misguided attempts to play God.

A call to defend truth and dignity

The redefinition of sacred roles and the prioritisation of ideology over reality is a profound betrayal of womanhood. Whether through fraudulent job schemes exploiting vulnerable mothers or policies that diminish the biological realities of maternal care, these actions strike at the very foundation of what it means to be a woman.

This is not merely a cultural or political debate; it is a spiritual battle for truth, dignity, and the preservation of divine order.

Women must be honoured for their unique and God-given roles, and society must stand firm against attempts to mock and trivialise the sacred.

The Bible says,
Joel 2:16 Gather the people, sanctify the congregation, assemble the elders, gather the children, and those that suck the breasts: let the bridegroom go forth of his chamber, and the bride out of her closet.

We may be encouraged to prayer and witness by Joel’s word being in the context of judgment turned away by God in favour of restoration:

Joel 2:21 Fear not, O land; be glad and rejoice: for the LORD will do great things.

Donald Trump: 47th US President

President Donald Trump labels Nigeria a “Country of Particular Concern” — warns U.S. military aid could be slashed.

So despite the polls predicting a close race, Donald Trump and his running mate, J D Vance, won the US Presidential election AND won the popular vote.

That gives President-elect Trump a powerful mandate.

Biblical Mandate

Donald Trump 45th President will now be the 47th
Donald Trump 45th President will now be the 47th.

Even in the Bible, with its theocratic pattern, it’s seen as a good thing when the people give their consent to their leaders. Here’s the people of Israel before Mount Sinai:

Exod 19:8 And all the people answered together, and said, All that the LORD hath spoken we will do. And Moses returned the words of the people unto the LORD.

Remember how in this year’s UK general election, only twenty-per-cent of the population actually voted for the party who are now in office?

That, in biblical terms, isn’t a mandate. Trump’s is.

Ending the Russo-Ukraine war

Boris Johnson convinced Vlodomir Zelensky to ditch peace talks with Russia and to ‘fight’ instead, at no cost to himself or UK soldiers’ lives.
Boris Johnson convinced Vlodomir Zelensky to ditch peace talks with Russia and to ‘fight’ instead, at no cost to himself or to UK soldiers’ lives.

So what does this mean for the US, for us in the UK, and for the world?

The UK’s Sir Keir Starmer, following down the path of warmonger Boris Johnson, said he would ‘welcome sustained bipartisan US support for Ukraine’.

Well, dream on with that. President-elect Trump has vowed to end the Russo-Ukraine war on day one of his presidency.

The Lord Jesus said:
Matt 5:9 Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God.

How to win friends …

In June 2019, Sir Keir wrote that ‘Humanity and dignity’ were ‘Two words not understood by President Trump’. Since then, UK ambassador to the United States Dame Karen Pierce has spent four years working hard to build bridges with the possible next president.

And then Sir Keir sends over a hundred Labour Party staffers to help the doomed Kamala Campaign.

The Bible says:
Jas 1:5 If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.

But that requires humility, which in Sir Keir’s case, he has not got.

To make matters worse, Dame Karen is now working under Foreign Secretary David Lammy.

In 2018, the Tottenham MP called Mr Trump a ‘tyrant in a toupee’. He went on: ‘Trump is not only a woman-hating, neo-Nazi-sympathising sociopath,’ and a racist KKK (That’s Ku Klux Klan, founded by Democrats), but ‘a profound threat to the international order’.

Curse not the king

The Donald is known for his thin skin and for his ability to hold grudges.

The Bible says:
Eph 4:26 Be ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath:

Sort it out that day, in other words. Don’t go to bed angry. Clearly the next US President needs to be before the Lord on that, at the very least. But David Lammy should have sought the Lord in the Proverbs:

Prov 21:23 Whoso keepeth his mouth and his tongue keepeth his soul from troubles.

And if that were not warning enough, here’s wisdom from Ecclesiastes:
Eccl 10:20 Curse not the king, no not in thy thought; and curse not the rich in thy bedchamber: for a bird of the air shall carry the voice, and that which hath wings shall tell the matter.

But to seek the Lord would again require humility, and Mr Lammy is self-absorbed and needs our prayers.

Demonic arrogance

But then again, the sheer scale of the arrogance among those who regard themselves as ‘progressive’ can only be demonic. Well, look, it is driven by something beyond normal discourse.

The commentators were distraught. BBC newscasters on Wednesday morning might as well have been wearing black ties and black crepe.

Emily Maitlis started swearing on air. Carol Vorderman went all spiritual and said ‘God help America.’ Well, God can do that, but it is conditional on obedience, as we read:

Deut 28:1 And it shall come to pass, if thou shalt hearken diligently unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to observe and to do all his commandments which I command thee this day, that the LORD thy God will set thee on high above all nations of the earth:

Ex-Tory MP Rory Stewart, chatting after the election with ‘we don’t do God’ Alastair Campbell, ignored the spiritual dimension and said the Kamala ran a good campaign, lots of reasons why she won. He bet a five- or six-figure sum on her winning. But, er, she lost.

The word says:
Psa 76:12 He shall cut off the spirit of princes: he is terrible to the kings of the earth.

A right to the votes

In the US, Ann Selzer, Iowa’s polling queen, predicted just days before the election that Kamala would take the Hawkeye State by three points. In the end, Mr Trump won it by more than 13.

Patronising and divisive: Actress Julia Roberts.
Patronising and divisive: Actress Julia Roberts.

You see, during the election, the Democrats seemed to assume they had a right to the votes of women, and black and hispanic people.

Barack Obama scolded black men, the ‘brothers’, for not getting the Kamala vibe. Actress Julia Roberts lectured women on how their husbands needn’t know they voted secretly for Kamala. It’s identity politics, but it’s also entitlement, arrogance, patronising, contempt for ordinary people and their intelligence.

The Kamala mindset seemed to think that being fanatically pro-abortion meant that every woman should vote for her, but (as even the BBC reports) that’s not how it works, and she was in any case hampered by not being quite sure what a woman actually was.

A basket of deplorable

When Mr Trump ran against Hilary Clinton, she described Trump voters as in a ‘basket of deplorables’. They were ‘racist, sexist, homophobic, zenophobic, Islamophobic’, ‘they’re offensive, hateful, mean-spirited’, she said. View the video here.

Poking fun at two insults at once
Poking fun at two insults at once

Then, following a stupid comment from a warm-up comedian at a trump rally about Puerto Rico, calling it a floating island of garbage, Joe Biden snatched maximum-defeat from a mini-victory by calling Trump supporters ‘garbage’.

That was mean-spirited, and then Joe Biden’s concession speech on Thursday was gracious. The same tongue, cursing then blessing.

Anyway, the business-minded quickly put t-shirts together mocking both Biden and Hillary, while the Donald put on a high-vis vest and did a photo-op from a garbage truck which his team quickly turned into an advert just for the occasion. You should be dirsrespecting neither your opponents nor the voters.

Here’s the Apostle Paul, writing to the Philippians:
Php 4:8 Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things (are) honest, whatsoever things (are) just, whatsoever things (are) pure, whatsoever things (are) lovely, whatsoever things (are) of good report; if (there be) any virtue, and if (there be) any praise, think on these things.

In other words, be positive, look for the best in people, not the worst.

What will President Trump do?

So, in that spirit, looking forward, we know President Trump will lower taxes, will not impose Net Zero targets or spend taxpayers’ money on expensive vanity projects like hydrogen, wind and solar power and carbon capture.

The Telegraph says He is going to exploit God’s gift of fossil fuels and ‘Drill, baby, drill’ for oil and gas.

I expect to see Robert Kennedy with a health role, which will scare big pharma. Maybe all that will spread to the UK.

Kamala is for they them Trump is for you tshirt.
Kamala is for they them Trump is for you tshirt.

President Trump respects God’s division of mankind into male and female and says he will stop transgender mutilation. He is heading for a row with the Olympic Committee over men muscling in on women’s sports.

During the election campaign, the Trump team skewered Kamala Harris over her promotion of government-funded sex-change operations for illegal migrants, coining the clever slogan, sending up pronoun culture while also hinting at her membership of the elite, and once more repeated on T-shirts: ‘Kamala is for they/them. Trump is for you.’

He will also defund Planned Parenthood making it harder for them to promote abortion abroad. He and his V-P pray, and unlike Kamala, Trumpy does not throw people out of his meetings who proclaim the Lordship of the King of kings, Jesus Christ.

Pray for those who lead

Now remember, on the campaign trail, he survived two assassination attempts. The Lord could well be with him.

But he is not impervious either to further attempts on his life or to bad decisions or bad appointments. We are told to pray for those in authority, but those who are at least trying to honour God and rule for the people rather than for the elites, need especial prayers for protection against all evils and for wisdom from above.

The pollsters, the godless, have been confounded. May Satan be confounded in all his works.

Conservative Leadership: What’s next for Kemi?

0
Rt Hon Kemi Badenoch MP
Rt Hon Kemi Badenoch MP

06/09/2022. London, United Kingdom. Official Cabinet Portrait; Secretary of State for International Trade and President of the Board of Trade – Kemi Badenoch MP poses for a photograph in 10 Downing Street. Picture by Simon Dawson / No 10 Downing Street

Kemi Badenoch has emerged victorious in the Conservative leadership election, securing her place as the new head of the party.

Known for her strong stance on safeguarding women’s spaces, limiting children’s exposure to age-inappropriate content without parental consent, and critically addressing policies around ‘transgender’ issues, Ms. Badenoch’s track record has sparked both support and criticism.

As she steps into her new role, will she follow through on these principles.

History of defending women’s spaces

Kemi Badenoch has long advocated for the protection of women’s single-sex spaces, a stance that resonates with conservative supporters who are concerned about maintaining separate facilities, like restrooms and shelters, for women.

She has argued that allowing individuals to self-identify into these spaces can undermine women’s rights and safety.

In her new position, she faces the opportunity to advance policies that preserve single-sex spaces in public facilities, schools, and other institutions.

Her track record suggests she may introduce regulations that provide clarity around who is eligible to enter these spaces, aligning with her belief in biological distinctions.

Ask us to come and speak at your church →

Parental consent and age-appropriate content in schools

Another focal point in Ms. Badenoch’s policy agenda has been her call for tighter control over educational content in schools. She has criticised the inclusion of inappropriate content for young children, particularly on topics related to ‘sexuality and gender identity’, without parental consent.

The Conservative leader has argued that parents should have more knowledge regarding what their children learn about sensitive topics, particularly in primary school settings.

The Bible says
Deuteronomy 6:6-7 And these words, which I command thee this day, shall be in thine heart…And thou shalt teach them diligently unto thy children, and shalt talk of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, and when thou liest down, and when thou risest up.

Scepticism toward gender identity policies

Kemi’s scepticism toward gender identity policies has been a defining feature of her public image. She has frequently questioned the speed at which certain gender-related policies have been implemented, particularly those that encourage social transitioning in young people without comprehensive assessments.

The 44-year-old has emphasised the need for caution, advocating that the welfare of children should be prioritised over political ideology. With control over national policy, she could review and potentially revise existing policies related to gender identity in schools, workplaces, and medical contexts to ensure they are grounded in what she considers practical and protective principles.

The Lord Jesus said:
Matt 9:12b They that be whole need not a physician, but they that are sick.

Petition: Stop Transgenderism Now!

Balancing ideological and practical concerns

As leader, she is now tasked with balancing her ideological views with the practicalities of governing a diverse country.

The challenge lies in translating her commitments into policies that uphold her principles without alienating segments of the population.

The question remains whether Ms. Badenoch will actively pursue the changes she has advocated for or if she will adopt a more tempered approach now that she holds the reins of leadership. Her past statements suggest a strong commitment to these issues, but as leader, she faces new pressures and responsibilities. Supporters hope to see tangible policy changes, particularly around women’s rights, parental consent in education, and gender identity policies.

Whether Badenoch can fulfill these expectations will ultimately shape her legacy as leader, setting the stage for how the Conservative Party approaches these complex social issues in the years to come.

Trans lobbyists defy ban on puberty blockers

Susie Green, the former chief executive of the discredited “trans” lobby group Mermaids, the one who took her own under-age son to Thailand to have him castrated, has re-entered the realm of so-called trans healthcare. Alarmingly, she seems to have devised a method to sidestep the UK’s prohibition on puberty blockers.

Green’s latest venture, Anne Trans Healthcare—branded as “Anne”—claims to deliver “personalised gender-affirming healthcare” for adults and, alarmingly, children. After her departure from Mermaids in 2022, Green joined forces with “trans” activist and HIV campaigner Lizzie Jordan to establish Anne. Their approach is driven not by rigorous science but by ideology, prioritising beliefs over evidence.

The service adheres to guidance from the controversial trans advocacy group, the World Professional Association for Transgender Health (WPATH), whose recommendations have often been criticised as unscientific and biased.

Puberty blockers for under 18’s

Among Anne’s controversial services is the prescription of puberty blockers for minors—a practice banned both in the NHS and private clinics after the Cass Review exposed severe issues within youth gender services. Even before Dr. Hilary Cass’s findings were released, the serious risks associated with puberty blockers were clear to anyone willing to look beyond ideological blinders. Research has revealed disturbing potential side effects of these drugs, such as reduced IQ, impaired fertility, and weakened bone density. Today, most conscientious clinicians recognise that subjecting vulnerable children to experimental drugs is deeply irresponsible.

In a display of almost remarkable cunning, Anne has managed to sidestep the UK’s ban by establishing a “legal route” through a network of families outside the country to facilitate access to puberty blockers abroad. Green defends this approach by insisting that the so-called “gender-affirming care” provided by her service is an “essential part” of children’s healthcare, framing it as a vital step in their development.

Ask us to come and speak at your church →

£150 per child

Anne’s services are available to any child who can pay, provided they have the backing of a parent or guardian. For a £200 joining fee and an additional £150 per month, children can enrol in an “under-18s standard membership” scheme—though this price doesn’t cover the actual cost of the medication.

Families must also bear the expense of travelling to an EU country where the drugs can be obtained or administered in person. This pay-to-play model blatantly commercialises vulnerable youth, transforming critical health decisions into costly transactions.

Use this link to the UK Parliament website to email your MP

Disregard of the Cass Review

Green and Jordan, emboldened by their unwavering commitment to trans ideology, have shown a disturbing disregard for the conclusions of the Cass Review. In an open letter to Health Secretary Wes Streeting, Green lashes out at the NHS for implementing the report’s recommendations, once again invoking the harmful and misleading claim that denying puberty blockers to children with gender dysphoria increases their risk of suicide.

On her website, Green further criticises the NHS ban, claiming it has forced families to “watch their children suffer as the medication that treated their gender dysphoria wears off.”

With exaggerated melodrama, she asserts that “for them, with puberty-blocking medication now forcefully withdrawn, the torture resumes, and concerns about self-harm and suicidal ideation become a reality.” This rhetoric not only distorts the situation but dangerously manipulates public sentiment through fear.

Pro-Life Witness at December 2024 Abortion Conferences

We organised pro-life witness events outside two pro-abortion conferences in December 2024.

(1) Christian Voice Outreach at Faculty of Sexual & Reproductive Health Conference, Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists, London, Friday 6th December 2024

(2) Christian Voice Witness at ‘Women’s Health’ Conference, Royal College of Nursing, London: Tuesday 10th December 2024:

What was involved

We prayed the Lord would raise up those who would come out on the streets Friday 6th and Tuesday 10th December 2024 in London to support our outreach to the UK’s leading abortionists. Jobs involved giving out leaflets/tracts (PDF HERE – it’s folded DL – feel free to use it elsewhere – use 160gm card ), holding cameras/phones, witnessing and just being there in support.

The evil of abortion is right in the heart of our medical professions:

Lord revealed abortion conferences!

I was praying, Lord, are there any pro-abortion conferences coming up for us to witness outside in the next few weeks?

So I did a search online, and my prayer was answered dramatically.

Firstly, I found the heavily-pro-abortion Faculty of Sexual and Reproductive Healthcare, the FRSH, is to hold its annual conference on Friday 6th December 2024. Here’s the FRHR Programme. And here are the speakers.

Secondly, I discovered the Royal College of Nursing are planning an all-day conference centred on abortion the following Tuesday, 10th December. Here’s the RCN Programme. And here are the speakers.

Lord, how do you do that?

Stronghold of Satan

The all-day FRSH event on Friday 6th December 2024 will be held from 8.15 am to 5.30pm at a significant stronghold of Satan, the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists. The address is 10-18 Union Street, London, SE1 1SZ. It’s not far from Borough Tube and London Bridge Station.

The Bible says:
Deut 27:25 Cursed be he that taketh reward to slay an innocent person. And all the people shall say, Amen.

Here, we believe the evidence of scripture and medicine that a child in the womb shares our common humanity. He, or she, is a person with a right to life.

But not only does the Faculty, which is part of the Royal College, deny the humanity of the child in the womb, they have lost touch with all reality.

They believe that access to ‘sexual and reproductive healthcare’ (those weasel words mean abortion) is a fundamental right. Not ‘should be’, ‘IS’ a fundamental right.

No international ‘right’ to abortion

Judy Green hands out Christian Voice pro-life leaflets to delegates leaving the UNFPA Summit in Nairobi in November 2019.
Judy Green hands out Christian Voice pro-life leaflets to delegates leaving the UNFPA Summit in Nairobi in November 2019.

So they believe wrong, because access to abortion, even if it is euphonised into ‘reproductive healthcare’, is in no international human rights document, despite UN forces and the godless West pushing for it.

But to claim there IS such a right is to put an ‘R’ after their ‘SRH’ to make it SRHR, the Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights promoted all over the developing world by bodies such as Marie Stopes International, Planned Parenthood, FSRH, the United Kingdom government and of course the United Nations Fund for Population Activities.

Kenya Christian Voice opposed the UNFPA Summit in Nairobi in November twenty-nineteen with prayer and with leafleting of those going in.

Do the little things that only we can do

Ambassadors of eleven nations held a press conference to condemn the ICPD25 Nairobi Summit and UNFPA
Ambassadors of eleven nations held a press conference to condemn the ICPD25 Nairobi Summit and UNFPA

There was a massive spiritual dimension to what we did. We were noticed by the abortionists and the Lord moved in power. We did the little things that only we could do, and he did what only he can do, that is, work miracles. Not the least was the United States bringing nations together to oppose the UNFPA.

So here is your opportunity to show that here in the UK we can stand against evil as well, on Friday 6th and Tuesday 10th December 2024.

There are now buffer zones preventing pro-life witness around every abortion facility in the United Kingdom. England & Wales caught up with Scotland and Northern Ireland on Halloween, 31st October 2024.

But the law does not apply around the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists. Nor does it prevent us witnessing at the Royal College of Nursing, the RCN, which see below.

Dig another well!

Marie Stopes abortion ‘clinic' in south London – we killed 595 unborn children, legally, every day in 2018 in GB. In America, they murder 3,700 each day.
Marie Stopes abortion ‘clinic’ in south London – we killed 595 unborn children, legally, every day in 2018 in GB. In America, they murder 3,700 each day.

In the Bible, we read that as soon as Isaac dug a well, the Philistines took it off him. That happened twice. But then we read, in Genesis chapter twenty-six and verse twenty-two:

Gen 26:22 And he removed from thence, and digged another well; and for that they strove not: and he called the name of it Rehoboth; and he said, For now the LORD hath made room for us, and we shall be fruitful in the land.

The Philistines of Parliament have taken our well of witness at the abortion centres off us.

So, following Isaac’s pragmatism, we’ll simply dig another one at the RCOG, and another at the RCN. We can dig  more in town centres, don’t forget, more abortions are now at home through pills-by-post than at the abortion premises, and the Lord will bless them, make room for us, and our witness will be fruitful.

It will be an early start that Friday, 8 AM, and 9 AM on Tuesday, but if you’ve never done any street witness before, come and have fun. Sorry, come and be blessed. Bring your friends. Give out some leaflets. Engage with the abortionists.

Ask them what species of animal they were when they were growing in their mother’s womb. And the weekend gets even better.

On Tuesday 10th December, the Royal College of Nursing will hold a Women’s Health Conference from 9:30am to 4:10pm at their posh HQ, 20 Cavendish Square, London, W1G 0RN, between Bond Street and Oxford Circus.

The Keynote Speaker is nurse Simphiwe Sesane (pronounced Simp-Heeway SessAh-nay), who seems to be some kind of abortion celebrity. She is even on the FSRH committee pushing abortion worldwide.

Worked for Marie Stopes

Simphiwe Sesane
Simphiwe Sesane

The South African founded ‘Black Nurses and Midwives UK’, but she previously worked for twelve years for MSI, that’s Marie Stopes International. Its founder, the racist and eugenicist Marie Stopes, hated the poor and wanted mixed-race babies sterilized at birth to combat ‘racial darkness’.

Simphiwe, we read, ‘prides herself with the ability to empower individuals with choice.’ She should be ashamed of herself on so many levels.

Prov 16:18 Pride goeth before destruction, and an haughty spirit before a fall.
Prov 6:16 These six things doth the LORD hate: yea, seven are an abomination unto him: 17 A proud look, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood,

So we need your prayer support, your attendance, if you can, and your financial support. Even Christian workers have to pay train fares and staff wages!

PRAY for the Lord to raise up those who will come and join us on Friday 6th and Tuesday 10th December. Also pray for success. Pray for enabling finance.

Southport killer WAS a terrorist

Victims of the Southport murderer: Elsie Dot Stancombe, Alice da Silva Aguiar and Bebe King

I won’t lie to you, they had me fooled.

When those three little girls, Bebe King, six, Elsie Dot Stancombe, seven and Alice Dasilva Aguiar, aged just nine, were murdered at the Hart Space dance class in Southport on 29th July this year, material quickly circulated on Social Media to the effect that the perpetrator was a Muslim illegal immigrant.

Then the authorities revealed that the killer, one Axel Rudakubana, seen and identified by those who observed it all, was born in Cardiff to Rwandan parents.

In Rwanda, Christians form almost 94 percent of the population. I reasoned the statistical chance of this killer being a Muslim was tiny.

Southport stabbing suspect, Axel Rudakubana, as a young boy, as printed in the Daily Mirror
Southport stabbing suspect, Axel Rudakubana, as a young boy, as printed in the Daily Mirror

Indeed, the Mirror had a description of him as a ‘quiet choir boy’ from ‘a family heavily involved in the local church’.
So I was putting him down as someone who for some strange reason had become a psychopath.

Twitter ‘misinformation’

What was on Twitter, I thought, was misinformation. And that was what they wanted me to think.

The ‘misinformation’, as it was dubbed, sparked the August protests objecting to Muslim illegal immigration, which led to men being sentenced to long stretches in prison for shouting at policemen, and women banged up for repeating the allegations on Twitter, while judge Conor Burns allowed a Muslim man who seriously assaulted three young women in Bradford to walk free from court in the summer’s display of unbiblical two-tier justice.

UK Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer and Home Secretary Yvette Cooper (r) knew Axel Rudakubana was an Islamic terrorist from the start.
UK Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer and Home Secretary Yvette Cooper (r) knew Axel Rudakubana was an Islamic terrorist from the start.

Now, three months later, it turns out that at least part of what was described as misinformation was true and that the authorities knew that all the time.

The killer, we have to say alleged killer, because despite the evidence of eye-witnesses Rudakubana has not yet been convicted, or even come to trial, is now revealed as an Islamic terrorist after all. He’s been charged with terrorism offences.

Al Qaeda training manual

Axel Rudakubana - as he is today
Axel Rudakubana – as he is today

Three months after searching his home, the authorities now admit they found he downloaded an Al Qaeda training manual.

The Telegraph reports that biological ricin poison was also discovered at Axel Rudakubana’s home during a search in early August.

There is no way this is a plant by the police. The last thing the establishment wanted was to have to admit to an Islamic connection to the Southport murders.

This information has been dragged out of them. Even now, those in office are trying to downplay it.

The Guardian quotes Dr. Renu Bindra from the UK Health Security Agency, emphasising there was ‘no evidence’ of exposure to ricin for first responders, the public, or anyone at Hart Space. She said its experts assessed the risk to the wider public as “low”.’

Axel Rudakubana was seen to murder three little girls. He injured eight other children and two adults. But you can count yourself reassured that the risk to the wider public of the ricin he had made was ‘low’.

Sacred Cow of Multiculturalism

Here’s the Prophet Jeremiah talking about our leaders:
Jer 6:13 For from the least of them even unto the greatest of them every one is given to covetousness; and from the prophet even unto the priest every one dealeth falsely.
Jer 6:14b … saying, Peace, peace; when there is no peace.

Those who raised misgivings about unfettered Muslim immigration were right to do so. They cared, yet neither Sir Keir Starmer nor his Home Secretary Yvette Cooper would discuss the matter. Why? Because even to admit it’s an issue would offend their cherished idea, their sacred cow of anti-Christian multiculturalism.

Abraham Lincoln
Abraham Lincoln

The Lord Jesus assured us, whlie critising hypocrisy in leadership:
Luke 12:2 For there is nothing covered, that shall not be revealed; neither hid, that shall not be known.

Stuff is going to come out, but our leaders hope that by the time it does, people will have forgotten their initial anger and the public disquiet will have gone off the boil.

Abraham Lincoln is reported to have said:
“You can fool some of the people all of the time, and all of the people some of the time, but you can not fool all of the people all of the time.”

Discussion banned in Parliament

Commons Speaker Sir Lindsay Hoyle: banned all discussion of Southport
Commons Speaker Sir Lindsay Hoyle: banned all discussion of Southport

All discussion of Southport and questions about when Keir Starmer and Yvette Cooper knew the perpetrator was indeed a Muslim terrorist is now even banned in the House of Commons, on the spurious grounds of securing a fair trial and justice, such as it is, without the death penalty, for the families.

Those in office dread the day when Axel Rudakubana comes to trial and is convicted.

There will be street protests from those people who cannot be fooled and have not fooled themselves, a further category of persons President Lincoln did not address.

The Bible says:
Prov 19:1 Better is the poor that walketh in his integrity, than he that is perverse in his lips, and is a fool.

Pray the Lord will raise up God-fearing men of truth and integrity, leaders who do not despise this nation, its Christian heritage, its people, but rather respect and cherish it and them.

Remembrance Day or identity politics?

1

Progress Pride Poppy Pin.
Progress Pride Poppy Pin.

As we approach Remembrance Day, a day meant to honour the sacrifice of countless brave veterans who defended freedom, it seems the Royal British Legion has found a new angle for ‘support’ by endorsing a political symbol. For a mere eight pounds, you can now show both your support for veterans and your allegiance to ‘trans’ ideology with a Progress Pride Poppy Pin.

This isn’t just any poppy. It’s a symbol that, far from honouring history, has become tied to a highly charged agenda. The Progress Pride flag is associated with men competing in women’s sports, adolescents undergoing irreversible surgeries due to trans ideology, and doctors sidelining centuries-old ethical principles, all under the guise of ‘progress.’

Instead of commemorating those who gave their lives for our freedoms, this poppy distracts from Remembrance Day’s solemnity, blending in an agenda that has nothing to do with honouring veterans and everything to do with promoting a narrow political stance.

The Bible says,
Luke 5:31 And Jesus answering said unto them, They that are whole need not a physician; but they that are sick.

Support Christian Voice →

‘Identity politics’

According to the Royal British Legion’s webpage, their new Progress Pride Poppy Pin ‘symbolises support for our LGBTQ+ community who are a vital part of our Armed Forces past and present.’ Yet, one must ask if this attempt to rewrite history is truly necessary or even accurate. It’s hard to imagine British soldiers in the jungles of Burma during WWII stopping to declare their gender identity to their Sergeant Major. The experience of past servicemen and women was defined by duty, hardship, and sacrifice, not identity politics.

The public has long been led to believe that the Legion’s mission is to honour veterans and provide meaningful support for those who risked their lives in service. However, the recent push to tie Remembrance Day to divisive contemporary ideologies risks politicising a tradition that should unify, not divide.

Veterans’ issues should remain the Legion’s focus, not an endorsement of identity politics, especially when many of those who served and their families may not support this shift in direction.

Is it not possible for the Legion to honour all veterans without attaching a political label? Remembrance Day should be about recognising the ultimate sacrifice made by countless individuals, not about the virtue signalling of today’s social agendas.

Instead of honouring the bravery and sacrifices of our veterans, the Royal British Legion seems to be prioritising the hollow optics of today’s identity politics.

Ask us to come and speak at your church →

Bankrolling ‘trans’ agenda

Recently, the Legion has advertised for a Head of Diversity and Inclusion, offering an impressive £65,000 salary. That’s right—funds from poppy donations, intended for the support of veterans, now bankroll positions aimed at weaving DEI ideology ‘into everything we do.’ It doesn’t stop there. The Legion also diverts another £3,000 per year of poppy appeal donations toward Stonewall’s Diversity Champions scheme, a costly subscription that aligns with an agenda far removed from the Legion’s original mission.

The Legion’s online presence now features a webpage devoted to an ‘LGBTQ+ branch,’ yet the practical representation appears little more than superficial tokenism, promoting initiatives with limited reach and relevance. The Legion’s official social media claims this ‘Progress Pride Poppy’ is intended to boost ‘LGBTQIA+ allyship, intersex visibility, and inclusion worldwide.’ One has to wonder—why does Remembrance Day, a solemn tribute to those who served, need to be co-opted for ‘intersex visibility’?

The classic poppy was always a symbol for all, representing the sacrifices of all those who served, regardless of identity. However, by injecting divisive political ideologies into the poppy appeal, the Legion risks alienating its supporters, tarnishing a symbol that once stood purely for remembrance and respect. This mission drift does nothing but dilute the meaning of Remembrance Day, turning a unifying national emblem into yet another vehicle for virtue signalling.

A must watch video!

Royal British Legion responds

In a defensive response to public criticism, a Legion representative on social media claimed, ‘The decision to use this flag was made in consultation with members of the LGBTQIA+ Armed Forces community.’ However, it’s unclear exactly who was consulted and whether this so-called ‘consultation’ truly reflected the majority perspective of the veteran community or the public. This selective process betrays the Legion’s long-standing, unifying mission by bending to a niche ideological agenda without broad consensus.

This situation with the Royal British Legion serves as a warning: when identity politics infiltrates respected institutions, the result is often a distortion of their purpose. All it takes is a handful of ideologues within an organisation to steer it off course, contaminating what once stood for genuine service and remembrance. If this ideological mission creep can compromise the Legion—a venerable symbol of honour and respect for veterans—it poses a similar threat to any institution unwittingly influenced by those seeking to advance their narrow agendas at the expense of their true mission.

As the Apostle Paul wrote:
1Co 10:12 Wherefore let him that thinketh he standeth take heed lest he fall.

Prince William makes Jacinda Arden a Dame

0

Jacinda Arden the title of a Dame by Prince William
Jacinda Arden receives the title of a Dame by Prince William.

On the 16th of October 2024, the Prince of Wales bestowed the title of Dame upon Jacinda Ardern in a ceremony at Windsor Castle.

The timing and nature of this recognition is something to be curious about, given Ardern’s outspoken support for New Zealand becoming a republic.

The Daily Telegraph rightly pointed out the tension between her public stance on removing the monarchy in New Zealand and her willingness to accept such an honour from its British counterpart.

But beyond the surface-level irony, what deeper implications could this have from a scriptural perspective? Does the Bible support such actions, or is there a larger issue at play here?

The Bible says,
Psalm 33:12 Blessed is the nation whose God is the LORD

In accepting this honour, one might question whether Jacinda Ardern’s actions reflect a commitment to true justice and righteousness, or simply a desire for personal recognition.

Support Christian Voice →

Damehood or hypocrisy?

Jacinda Ardern’s acceptance of a Damehood is nothing short of blatant hypocrisy. For someone who has consistently pushed for New Zealand to sever ties with the British monarchy, her eagerness to become a Dame Grand Commander of the New Zealand Order of Merit is puzzling.

The former New Zealand politician who served as the 40th prime minister clearly wants the monarchy out of her country, yet she didn’t hesitate to travel halfway across the globe to Windsor Castle to bask in the royal limelight.

The 44-year-old, known for her stringent climate change rhetoric and unwavering support for the mRNA vaccine, appears to be intent on impoverishing the population. Just a few years ago, she preached at the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation Forum that the post-COVID world must not return to ‘business-as-usual’ in order to curb emissions and fight global warming. Yet, in pursuit of personal accolades, she seems quite comfortable with a carbon-heavy journey to accept an honour from the very institution she wishes to distance her nation from.

The contradiction between her public stance and personal actions reeks of opportunism.

Mic 2:1 Woe to them that devise iniquity, and work evil upon their beds.

Watch Stephen’s analysis here:

At the break of dawn

In 2021, Jacinda Ardern pushed through one of the world’s most extreme abortion laws—allowing abortion on demand, decriminalised right up until birth. Her stance was a blatant disregard for the sanctity of life, painting her leadership in a grim light.

But her extreme positions didn’t stop there. She has firmly embraced the ‘pro-homosexual’ agenda, appointing an openly gay deputy prime minister, Grant Robertson, and staunchly supporting the transgender movement.

Ardern even went so far as to defend New Zealand weightlifter Mr. Laurel Hubbard in 2021, brushing aside the concerns over men competing in women’s sports. So much for advocating for women’s rights—when biology, fairness, and safety are sacrificed on the altar of ‘inclusivity.’

In 2022, her iron grip on morality tightened further, as she cracked down on Christian prayer and ministry by banning so-called ‘conversion therapy.’ With sweeping legislation, she criminalised parents who dared to act in the best interests of their own children, refusing to allow them to undergo irreversible puberty-blocking treatments.

Under Ardern’s regime, parental rights were trampled, religious freedoms diminished, and moral decency cast aside—all in the name of progress.

Habakuk 1:4 Therefore the law is slacked, and judgement doth never go forth…for the wicked doth compass about the righteous; therefore wrong judgement proceedeth.

Jacinda’s push for ‘carbon neutral’ by 2025

In 2020, Jacinda Ardern pushed through a vote to make New Zealand’s government ‘carbon neutral’ by 2025, an idealistic goal at best, but at what cost to the population? She talks of ‘life or death’ when it comes to climate change in New Zealand, yet refuses to address the very real issue of impoverishing the citizens to achieve these lofty aims. Jacinda’s climate rhetoric demands that ordinary people make sacrifices—travel less, heat their homes less—because, apparently, that’s what it takes to save the planet.

But, of course, those rules don’t apply to her. She pays lip service to the struggle of the average New Zealander, saying ‘Climate change is in our backyard’ and talking of her commitment to the Pacific region. Yet, the same woman who tells her people to reduce their carbon footprint racks up a £25,000 travel bill, jetting 2,800 miles from New Zealand to Nauru in the process.

The hypocrisy is glaring: the climate emergency is a crisis for the masses, but for Ardern, it’s business as usual.

The Bible,
Prov 29:2 When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice: but when the wicked beareth rule, the people mourn.

‘Commitment to sustainable development and climate action’?

One might assume that someone like Jacinda Ardern—a God-hating tyrant, hypocrite, and political failure, would be the last person deserving of an honour, especially one bestowed by the future King of England. But that would be misunderstanding how the elite circles truly operate. The 44-year-old is not just any politician, she’s a graduate of the World Economic Forum’s Young Global Leaders program, a credential she shares with other notorious authoritarians like the Netherlands’ Mark Rutte and Canada’s Justin Trudeau.

It’s no surprise then that she would fit right into Prince William’s orbit. After all, it was at the World Economic Forum where he launched his ‘Earthshot Prize’ in 2019, yet another vanity project under the guise of ‘saving the planet’ and ‘fixing the climate.’ Of course, this mission was co-signed by Sir David Attenborough- a man who once said the creature he finds ‘most extraordinary’ is a nine-month-old human baby. But now he believes the planet can’t sustain many more. In 2013, Attenborough in an interview with the Radio Times said the ‘Earth is plagued’ with people and that more space was needed to grow food.

And now, Jacinda joins the elite ranks of this club. Despite resigning as Prime Minister of New Zealand in 2023, citing a lack of ‘gas in the tank,’ she was swiftly appointed to the prestigious role of trustee for the Earthshot Prize by Prince William himself. The explanation? Her supposed ‘commitment to sustainable development and climate action.’ Never mind the impact her policies had on the livelihoods of ordinary people during lock down and extreme climate measures. When the global elite gather, they do so to serve their interests, not the needs of the people. For them, the wicked deeds of their own go unnoticed. As the psalmist reminds us, the kings of the earth have no concern for righteousness.

Psalm 2:4 He that sitteth in the heavens shall laugh: the Lord shall have them in derision.
Psalm 76:12 He shall cut off the spirit of princes.

Royal College of Psychiatrists cut ties with Stonewall

More organisations cutting ties with Stonewall.

The Royal College of Psychiatrists has cut ties with Stonewall.

According to documents seen by the Daily Telegraph, the college will not renew its current membership which expires in December. Previously, it ranked 90th in the group’s ‘top 100’ employers for ‘progress on LGBT equality’.

The college reportedly decided to sever ties following internal disagreement over its stance on transgender issues.

Support Christian Voice →

The Conflict

The college’s President Lade Smith CBE and Chief Executive Sonia Walter told members: ‘We are acutely aware that there is a risk in being affiliated with an organisation that may speak on matters relating to the professional practice of our members, but over which the college has no direct control.

‘The college has evaluated its membership of Stonewall and decided not to renew when it expires in December.’

Fiona McAnena, Director of Campaigns for women’s group Sex Matters, welcomed the college for sending a ‘clear message that it is putting evidence and the well-being of patients ahead of the demands of trans activist lobbyists’.

She said the College’s ‘recognition that the ideological position of Stonewall may conflict with the professional practice of its members is a significant statement’, and its decision should pressure other medical bodies such as the Royal College of General Practitioners to follow suit.

Over 100 organisations waking up to reality

After years of efforts by Christian Voice to expose Stonewall for what it truly is, over 100 companies are finally seeing the light and cutting ties with the lobby group. Many businesses now feel uncomfortable being associated with the group and have chosen to distance themselves.

Companies are leaving Stonewall over concerns about the group’s position on gender identity. The lobby group has pushed for policies that allow people to change their gender without medical checks, policies that go against the Bible and humanity.

Businesses, government departments, and even NHS trusts have expressed worry that these policies are too one-sided and ignore the need for balance and fairness, especially in areas like women’s spaces and sports.

Stonewall advised and influenced companies through what they call ‘Diversity Champions Scheme’ to not only make life altering decisions but also make the workplace a complicated environment to be in.

More so, organisations seeking to appear ‘woke’ and ‘inclusive’ pay over £3,000 annually to Stonewall’s membership for the sake of ‘recognition.’ These funds should be channelled into something more beneficial rather than promote trans ideologies.

Meanwhile, Stonewall claim that the programme ‘provides guidance and support that helps employers meet their statutory obligations under the Equality Act 2010, but also to go beyond the “legal minimum”‘.

In a now deleted statement, Stonewall has dismissed reports of employers leaving the programme saying organisations ‘come and go depending on what works best for them’, and that the post-pandemic economic downturn had led some employers to leave the programme.

Return to the UK’s Christian Constitution →

Cutting ties not enough!

Cutting ties with Stonewall is a step in the right direction, but it is not enough. The government and the NHS must go further by declaring the group unfit to influence policies that affect millions of people across the UK.

The Bible says,
Ephesians 5:11 And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them.

One of the most significant issues is Stonewall’s influence in shaping public sector guidelines through its so called ‘Diversity Champions Programme’. The program has increasingly advocated for controversial ideas, including the assertion that gender identity should replace biological sex in determining rights and access to services. This shift has implications for women’s rights, single-sex spaces, and safeguarding in schools and healthcare settings.

Furthermore, Stonewall’s push for self-identification policies without adequate public consultation has undermined democratic processes. Stonewall’s dominance in policy-making has sidelined legitimate concerns from feminists, medical professionals, and the wider public, who worry about the erosion of safeguards designed to protect vulnerable groups. By continuing to allow Stonewall’s influence in the public sector, the government and NHS risk creating policies that are not representative of the broader public interest.

‘No debate’

Stonewall has been accused of shutting down debate through its ‘no debate’ stance, silencing anyone who questions their interpretation of gender ideology. All public institutions must be places of open dialogue, where policies are subject to rigorous scrutiny, but Stonewall’s involvement has arguably stifled such discussions.

Moreover, organisations aiming to appear ‘woke’ and ‘inclusive’ pay over £3,000 annually to Stonewall’s membership programme for the sake of ‘recognition.’ Rather than investing these funds in making real change in the work space, they are used to promote narrow focus on ‘trans ideologies’.

These resources could be far better spent on initiatives that deliver tangible benefits to the wider community—supporting projects in healthcare, education, and workplace opportunities.

This is Christian Voice. I’m Stephen Green. I’m standing outside the Crown Court at Isleworth in South West London.

Isleworth Crown Court
Isleworth Crown Court

On the 29th and the 30th October 2024 I shall be here, appealing against my conviction in Uxbridge Magistrates Court in February of this year for standing – outside the Marie Stopes abortion premises in Mattock Lane in Ealing contrary to measures passed by Ealing Council in a Public Spaces Protection Order.

I had a placard with Psalm 139 and verse 13 on, it says:
Psa 139:13 For thou hast possessed my reins: thou hast covered me in my mother’s womb.

Prohibited words

Now, Ealing Council have prohibited a whole number of words which you’ll find in the King James Bible. Among them is ‘baby’ or ‘babe’ or ‘babes’, you’ll find that in fifteen verses of the King James Bible. You’ll find the word ‘kill’ in 118 verses, you’ll find the word ‘mum’ or ‘mother’ in an astonishing 299 verses of the King James Bible.

You’ll find the word ‘murder’ or ‘murderer’ or ‘murderers’ in 24 verses of the King James Bible. You’ll find the word ‘hell’ in 54 and you’ll find prohibited a word which is in 432 verses of the King James Bible, the word ‘soul’. (The plural brings it up to 498.)

His Majesty King Charles III kisses the Bible at his Coronation in May 2023
His Majesty King Charles III kisses the Bible at his Coronation in May 2023

So even if King Charles himself brought down that Bible which he kissed and which he made his promises on at his coronation in May 2023, he would not be allowed to read that astonishing prophecy of the Lord Jesus:
Psalm 16:10 For thou wilt not leave my soul in hell; neither wilt thou suffer thine Holy One to see corruption.

In fact I calculate that Ealing Council have banned over 1000 verses from the King James Bible, the Bible on which our king promised to maintain the laws of God and the true profession of the Gospel.

State overreach

This is a clear example of state over-reach, the London Borough of Ealing or any of the other four local authorities in England which have brought in these buffer zones, or even the United Kingdom government or the Scottish government or the government in Ulster to outlaw Christian witness and Christian freedom to preach the Gospel in our land.

MPs to vote on ‘dangerous’ suicide bill

1

Stop Press ‘Slippery Slope’: The Telegraph reports the Netherlands Parliament is to consider extending their own ‘assisted dying’ legislation to healthy over-75’s who just ‘choose to die’. (14th November 2024)

Article

The UK parliament is considering a ‘dangerous and ideological’ assisted suicide bill to give ‘terminally ill’ individuals in England and Wales the right to end their lives this month.

Labour MP Kim Leadbeater introduced her ‘Assisted Dying Bill’ on Wednesday 16th October 2024. MPs will debate it at Second Reading on Friday 29th November.

Use this link to the UK Parliament website to email your

Sir Keir Starmer is behind it

Mrs Leadbeater topped the Private Members’ bills ballot. Prime Minister Keir Starmer previously pledged to Prime Minister Keir Starmer previously pledged to allow MPs a free vote on the matter. Behind the scenes, it will be he who has suggested she choose this bill.

Since entering parliament in 2019, Kim Leadbeater, sister to the murdered Jo Cox, has shown scant respect for human life. She has voted for DIY abortions, for buffer zones, and against prayer.

Mrs Leadbeater claims the ‘time is right for a renewed discussion’ on assisted dying. She flatly denies, according to Sky News, that in counties which have introduced such a law, the criteria have subsequently expanded down a ‘slippery slope’.  We refute this below. She should know such a claim is false.

God determines the end of life

The push comes after a massive intake of new MPs expected to agree with her. MPs rejected similar legislation in 2015. But in any case, who are MPs to decide when to end a life God has given?

The Bible says,
Deuteronomy 32:39 See now that I, even I, am he, and there is no god with me: I kill, and I make alive; I wound, and I heal: neither is there any that can deliver out of my hand.

The bill will have to be approved by MPs and peers before it becomes law. Dr Gordon Macdonald, chief executive of Care Not Killing, is urging the government ‘to focus on fixing our broken palliative care system’ rather than ‘discussing again this dangerous and ideological policy’.

‘Heartless utilitarianism’

When a society loses respect for God, it loses regard for human life. Money becomes more important, either relatives chasing an early inheritance or public authorities looking to save expenditure. The Society for the Protection of Unborn Children (SPUC) has criticised a study published in the Canadian Medical Association Journal that suggests assisted suicide could save Canada’s healthcare system up to $136.8 million annually.

The study estimated that assisted suicide may forgo costly, resource-intensive medical care, reducing costs by bypassing the expensive final months of a terminally ill patient’s life. Using data from Belgium and the Netherlands, where assisted suicide has been legal for over 20 years, the report suggested cost savings could be ‘reinvested’ into other areas of healthcare. SPUC condemned the findings as ‘heartless utilitarianism’ and rejected the notion.

‘Pressured to opt for death’

Daniel Frampton, SPUC’s editorial officer, said: ‘This chilling report highlights the rise of a cold, utilitarian approach in Western healthcare systems, where patients are seen as a financial burden.

Governments struggling with budgets may be tempted to embrace assisted suicide as a cost-saving strategy. Patients could feel pressured to opt for death, or worse, be left without other viable choices.”

As the UK debates the legalisation of assisted suicide, Frampton urged both politicians and the public to learn from Canada’s experience and oppose this alarming shift towards viewing death as a solution to the challenges in healthcare.

Canada’s slippery slope

Canada’s assisted dying laws, originally introduced in 2016, were designed to offer ‘a compassionate option’ for terminally ill patients experiencing unbearable suffering. The legislation initially applied to those whose death was reasonably foreseeable, but over time, the boundaries of the law have expanded. Eligibility is now being considered for individuals with chronic pain or mental health issues.

Canada’s history with assisted dying began in the 1990s, when amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) patient Sue Rodriguez challenged the country’s criminal prohibition on assisted suicide. Despite her high-profile fight, the Supreme Court ruled against her in 1993, leaving the ban in place. That decision was overturned decades later in the landmark Carter v. Canada case. In 2015, the Supreme Court ruled that ‘denying assisted dying violated Canadians’ rights, forcing the government to act’.

From prohibition to legalisation

A year later, the government introduced Bill C-14, legalising medical assistance in dying (MAiD) under strict conditions. At the time, only adults with a ‘reasonably foreseeable’ death were eligible, seemingly ensuring the law would only apply to the terminally ill. However, that scope was quickly widened. In 2021, the passage of Bill C-7 removed the ‘foreseeable death’ requirement, opening MAiD to people suffering from intolerable pain or disabilities, even if they were not terminally ill. While proponents hailed the move as a victory for patient autonomy, pro-life campaigners warned it dangerously blurred the line between compassionate care and state-sanctioned death.

This criticism has only intensified with the scheduled 2024 expansion, which will allow those with mental illness as their sole medical condition to seek MAiD. Disability advocates, mental health experts, and human rights groups have raised the alarm, fearing vulnerable individuals may be coerced or driven to seek death due to inadequate support services.

The Netherlands

In April 2002 the Dutch Euthanasia Act came into force. This Act, officially named the Termination of Life on Request and Assisted Suicide (Review Procedures) Act, is the result of a development that started in 1973, when the first court case in the Netherlands regarding euthanasia was decided. The Netherlands’ assisted dying law, started as a controlled process but has now extended to include cases involving mental health disorders, dementia, and even non-medical reasons.

One of the most controversial developments is the Groningen Protocol , which allows the euthanasia of terminally ill infants under certain conditions.

Perhaps most concerning is the push to extend euthanasia to elderly individuals who feel they have ‘completed life’ but do not suffer from any terminal illness. This change reflects a societal shift toward using assisted dying as a normalised option for non-medical cases, particularly for vulnerable groups who may feel pressured to choose death.

The experience of Oregon

The Assisted Suicide (Scotland) Bill draws from Oregon’s ‘Death with Dignity Act’ (DWDA). The Act was introduced in 1997 to allow terminally ill patients with less than six months to have the option of assisted suicide. While it began with strict safeguards, over time, vulnerable people, including those with mental health challenges or disabilities, were encouraged to consider ending their lives prematurely. Oregon’s experience shows a steady rise in ‘assisted deaths’, with a 556% increase since the law’s inception, signalling a normalisation over time. Furthermore, Oregon has faced troubling cases where terminal patients were denied life-saving treatments but offered assisted suicide, raising ethical concerns about healthcare priorities.

Oregon’s original safeguards have been stretched, with some patients living years after being diagnosed, questioning the accuracy of medical predictions. The criteria for terminal illness have also been expanded, with non-terminal conditions now qualifying for assisted death. The UK can bring in a measure with no end of ‘safeguards’ but the boundaries of the law will in short time extend, leading to misuse.

MPs need wisdom from on high

MPs, even the godless, need wisdom, which only comes from on high. We must pray for them and witness to them. The experiences of other jurisdictions show how initial limits on assisted dying inevitably broaden, increasing the risk of vulnerable individuals being pressured into making life-ending decisions to benefit others. Of course there is a spiritual dimension, b ut even in the ‘natural’, the UK would be better off focussing on improving palliative care rather than opening the door to assisted suicide, which must lead to consequences which those pushing for the measure will say they never intended.

Sir Keir Starmer, UK prime minister
Sir Keir Starmer, UK prime minister

Sir Keir Starmer has said the state will take more ‘control in people’s lives, according to the Telegraph.

The prime minister said this during his first speech at the Labour conference since entering N0 10.

Mr. Starmer’s declaration that the state will take greater ‘control’ over people’s lives marks a concerning turn toward excessive government control. Invoking the infamous Brexit slogan ‘take back control,‘ he aims to draw parallels between this approach and the perceived failures of free markets. However, this rhetoric signals a dangerous drift toward a nanny state, where individual freedoms are increasingly eroded in favour of top-down governance.

The PM’s plan to extend government oversight into areas such as the NHS, energy, justice, and education may seem, on the surface, like a practical response to ongoing crises, but it raises serious questions about the limits of state power. His eagerness to expand government involvement risks creating a system where personal autonomy is sacrificed for bureaucratic control. By framing the issue as one of ‘necessary trade-offs,’ the Labour leader implies that the public must surrender even more liberties to a state apparatus that has already demonstrated inefficiency in many of the very sectors he seeks to expand.

While he couches his intentions in the language of responsibility, the prime minister’s willingness to push aside public opposition—whether over controversial infrastructure projects like pylons or his handling of asylum seekers—suggests a troubling disregard for democratic input. It is one thing to lead decisively, but quite another to impose unpopular policies without fully considering the consequences for individual freedoms.

The Bible says,
Proverbs 29:2 When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice: but when the wicked beareth rule, the people mourn.

Galatians 5:1: “Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage.

The hypocrisy of immigration rhetoric

Keir Starmer’s comments on ‘immigration, particularly his claim that concerns about it are ‘legitimate,’ expose a glaring contradiction in his approach to policy. On one hand, he acknowledges the public’s frustrations over sectors that import labour despite an eager domestic workforce. Yet, at the same time, he seems intent on maintaining a flow of immigration, arguing that solving illegal migration will necessitate granting asylum to certain individuals. This contradictory stance offers little in the way of a coherent immigration strategy, and instead, plays both sides in an attempt to appeal to a broad voter base.

Sir Keir Starmer, UK prime minister
Sir Keir Starmer, UK prime minister

His critique of industries that rely on foreign labour while millions of young people remain unemployed is a hollow gesture when followed by his admission that Labour’s solution to illegal immigration involves inevitable ‘trade-offs’ in the form of accepting asylum seekers. Sir Kier’s willingness to critique but not rectify this labour imbalance speaks to his inability or unwillingness to confront the deeper structural issues that perpetuate these dynamics. It also ignores the potential strain on public services, which are already buckling under pressure, a reality many Britons are acutely aware of.

By positioning himself as both sympathetic to immigration concerns and a champion of asylum seekers, Sir Starmer fails to take a firm stand on a divisive issue. His approach suggests a leader more interested in preserving his political capital than in addressing the real, often uncomfortable, challenges that immigration poses for the nation. The result is a weak policy direction that lacks substance and fails to deliver the clarity voters deserve.

Jesus said;
Matthew 23:3 All therefore whatsoever they bid you observe, that observe and do; but do not ye after their works: for they say, and do not.

2 Corinthians 3:17 Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.

Ask us to come and speak at your church →

The false promise of ‘necessary trade-offs’

The prime minister’s emphasis on ‘trade-offs’ throughout his speech is little more than an attempt to gloss over the real sacrifices his policies will demand from the British public. The construction of unsightly pylons in picturesque countryside to lower energy costs is but one example of the difficult compromises he insists are unavoidable. Yet, these so-called ‘necessary’ trade-offs are more a reflection of Labour’s inability to find innovative solutions than of genuine economic constraints.

Instead of exploring creative alternatives such as underground cabling or decentralised energy solutions, Mr. Starmer offers an oversimplified choice: accept visible environmental disruption, or face soaring costs. His framing of the issue suggests that Labour is resigned to following the path of least resistance, rather than leading with vision. The same logic applies to his stance on asylum seekers, where the ‘trade-off’ is simply presented as a foregone conclusion rather than a policy problem to be tackled head-on.

This defeatist approach undermines public trust. Sir Starmer is effectively telling the electorate that their concerns, whether about their local environment or immigration, are less important than the broader policy agenda. His approach suggests an inflexibility that not only lacks imagination but also reflects a deeper unwillingness to engage with alternative viewpoints. Rather than offering genuine leadership, his reliance on ‘trade-offs’ smacks of political expedience and a desire to dodge the tough decisions.

This tendency to impose harsh choices reflects poorly on a leader. In the Bible;

Proverbs 11:14 Where no counsel is, the people fall: but in the multitude of counsellors there is safety.

James 1:25 But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed.

Co-opting Brexit rhetoric to mask weak governance

One of the most cynical aspects of Mr. Starmer’s speech is his appropriation of the Brexit slogan ‘take back control.’ By recycling this phrase, he attempts to tap into the frustration many Britons feel about the failures of recent governments. However, instead of offering genuine solutions to the problems that have plagued the nation since Brexit, the PM’s version of ‘taking back control’ involves little more than increasing the state’s grip on everyday life.

It is hard to ignore the irony of the PM, who once supported remaining in the EU, now adopting the very language of the ‘Leave campaign’. His invocation of ‘control’ is nothing more than a hollow attempt to connect with voters who feel betrayed by the Conservative government’s failure to deliver on immigration and other promises. But rather than empowering individuals or communities, Sir Starmer’s vision is one where power is concentrated in government hands, with less autonomy and fewer freedoms for the public.

His co-opting of Brexit rhetoric may resonate with some disillusioned voters, but it raises the question of whether Labour truly offers a distinct alternative to the status quo. By focusing on expanding state control, Sir Starmer risks alienating voters who supported Brexit in the hopes of gaining more local and national sovereignty. Instead of delivering on those aspirations, he offers only a bigger, more intrusive government that is out of touch with the concerns of ordinary Britons.

The PM’s speech represents a troubling pivot toward an overreaching state that not only seeks to expand its influence but also ignores the real needs and desires of the electorate. By focusing on ‘trade-offs’ and symbolic rhetoric, Sir Starmer demonstrates a lack of innovation and a concerning disregard for personal freedoms. His leadership thus far seems less about addressing Britain’s deep-rooted challenges and more about consolidating power under the guise of taking back control.

The Bible warns against leaders who seek power for the sake of control.

1 Peter 5:3 Neither as being lords over God’s heritage, but being examples to the flock.

UN treaty to legalise child pornography

0

The United Nations is advocating for the decriminalisation of certain forms of child pornography in a new cybercrime treaty. This includes material shared by children through sexting and depictions of AI-generated or fictional children.

During negotiations in early August, Western nations argued that children who consensually share sexualised images of themselves with other children or adults should not face criminal charges, citing their right to develop sexual relationships.’

An EU delegate emphasised that no EU member state would join the treaty without these exceptions. The proposed UN treaty aims to address these issues.

Support Christian Voice →

The treaty

The treaty, which has been under discussion for more than a year, is primarily focused on addressing online crime, particularly targeting the creation, sharing, and ownership of digital ‘child sexual abuse’ content.

However, 91 countries, including the United States and the European Union are pushing for ‘exemptions’ for certain types of child pornography. These exemptions pertain to instances where the material doesn’t involve ‘an actual child’ or when it is self-produced or consensually created for personal purposes.

Western nations have argued that in such situations, prosecution should not be mandatory. Up until now, all such materials were strictly prohibited under an international agreement tied to the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child, which was championed by the U.S.

The suggested exemptions would replace the global prohibition with rules that differ across nations. According to the head of the Cyber crime Committee, the provisions related to child sexual abuse were among the most contentious elements of the treaty, making it challenging to achieve agreement among member states.

‘Treaty’s goal of protecting children undermined?’

Germany supported the proposed exceptions in the treaty, calling them the minimum acceptable. However, Syria, speaking on behalf of 22 countries, opposed these changes, arguing they undermine the treaty’s goal of protecting children. They believe countries can address sexting through rehabilitation or corrective measures, without changing the global laws on child pornography.

Countries opposing the exceptions include Bahrain, Bangladesh, Egypt, Russia, and others. China agreed, emphasising that the treaty should follow current international standards. Rwanda criticised the text, saying it allows offenders to escape punishment, while Congo warned that fully decriminalising sexting is dangerous for children.

UN’s Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights responds

The United Nations Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights advocated for the exemptions, claiming that their absence could lead to the punishment of “valid representations in art and literature” involving imaginary characters.

Meanwhile, Human Rights Watch, an NGO supported by Western nations, echoed this stance, asserting that the exemptions are crucial to safeguard creations of “artistic significance” and to uphold the rights of minors.
