Ugandan homosexual activists have learnt from Western pro-sodomy propaganda in their use of rainbow colours and moving the debate away from sex and onto ‘love’.
An independent Scotland will give asylum to Ugandans who consider themselves persecuted by anti-gay laws, reports The Herald.
Humza Yousaf, Scotland’s Minister For External Affairs, has written to UK Foreign Secretary William Hague detailing the Scottish Government’s gesture to welcome “any Ugandan” persecuted by the new laws.
He also intends to raise the matter with Ugandan ministers at the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow this summer.
Unless William Hague follows suit, the measure would need Scottish independence before coming into force. It is however unlikely that the ‘No’ camp will use the announcement in the independence debate, so entrenched is the pro-homosexual position in British politics and media.
Humza Yousaf. Which tartan is that? If not Clan Yousaf, can anyone shed any light?
Humza Yousaf, 29, was elected via the Mixed Member Proportional Representation from the Party List. He has been a spokesman for Islamic Relief. Having a soft spot for sodomites is not normally an Islamic trait.
In his letter Mr Yousaf urges Mr Hague “to offer asylum to any Ugandans who feels threatened or persecuted by the legislation”, adding that “Scotland will play her part in providing asylum for those seeking refuge from this draconian legislation”.
He adds that during the Games “no one from any part of the Commonwealth who visits Scotland will be under any doubt about our values as a welcoming, open and tolerant society”.
But not tolerant of African values or Christian virtue, of course.
The announcement raises questions. Nigeria, the biggest country in Africa, and also a Commonwealth member, has a recently-enacted law which also outlaws homosexual propaganda. Will Humza extend Scotland’s offer to Nigerians?
Africans are resourceful people and not devoid of acting skills. It is easy to claim to be homosexual and impossible to disprove. Scotland can look forward to a flood of applications for asylum if independence goes through.

The construction of the giraffe’s neck and blood vessels pose questions which evolutionists cannot answer.
Children should be taught about creationism in science lessons to avoid alienating those of strong faith, according to new research, reports The Times.
A study by academics at the University of York claims creationism should be tackled by science teachers in order to engage their religious pupils.
The study, reported in the Times Educational Supplement, said students with a strong faith were likely to be turned off science because it does not correspond with their own outlook on life. The findings contradict the views of the educational and political elite, which says any discusion of creation has no place in biology lessons.
“To avoid alienating students, understanding evolution should be emphasised instead of accepting it,” the study said. “If the topic is presented insensitively, students may feel compelled to choose between science and deep-rooted religious beliefs. Rather than asking whether religious views should be covered in science lessons, the question is can we afford not to talk about them?”
Researchers questioned more than 200 14-16 year olds who attended four secondary schools — one Christian faith-based, one non-faith with majority Muslim catchment zones and two non-faiths with mixed catchment zones.
The study found that most Muslim students believed that humans were “created by God pretty much in their current form”. More than half those at the Christian school also thought there had been some divine involvement.
“I wouldn’t for a moment say you should teach creationism in science, but you could certainly talk about evolution in the context of when Darwin first published his ideas, when it was challenging the religious orthodoxy,” said Pam Hanley, research fellow at the University of York’s Institute for Effective Education.
Michael Reiss, Professor of Science Education at the University of London’s Institute of Education, said the study revealed that the number of students who did not accept the theory of evolution was greater than thought. However, he told the TES: “What I would not recommend would be to enter into a discussion about the scriptures, be it the Bible, the Koran or whatever.
“Teachers should simply be respectful of their pupils’ beliefs, and say it is fine to have religious views, but add that science is about looking at the empirical evidence either for or against scientific theories.”
Funnily enough, our main complaint against the teaching of evolution in schools is that it fails to look at any evidence at all opposing the evolution dogma. Children are taught total fabrications such as the ‘evolution of the horse’ as fact.
The Government has insisted that all state-funded schools must teach evolution, and not present creationism as a scientifically valid theory.

President Museveni of Uganda has defied the United States by giving his approval to a bill outlawing homosexual propaganda, we are happy to report.
President Obama had threatened a cooling in what he described as “our valued relationship” should Uganda enact the bill, passed by the Ugandan Parliament.
Uganda receives some $400 million in aid annually from the United States, which now has to decide whether to show its displeasure by punishing ordinary Ugandans for their leaders’ disobedience to the wishes of Uncle Sam.
Such an outcome is highly unlikely. Museveni has called Obama’s bluff. And ‘ordinary Ugandans’ are delighted.
The new law allows life imprisonment as the penalty for acts of “aggravated homosexuality” and also criminalises the “promotion” of homosexuality”, reports the BBC.
The bill passed by parliament in December made it a crime not to report homosexuals, which would have made pastoral counselling difficult, but this clause has been removed from the legislation signed by the president.
Much prayer was mobilised in Uganda and across the world, including in neighbouring Kenya.
The Bill follows similar legislation in Nigeria, passed in reaction to pro-homosexual moves in the Commonwealth leaders meeting in October 2012.
President Obama has given President Yoweri Museveni of Uganda a veiled threat of a reduction in aid should the President enact a law prohibiting the promotion of homosexuality, reports Fox News.
President Obama warned Uganda on Sunday that its plans to clamp down on proselytisation by homosexuals would “complicate our valued relationship.”
Obama maintained that the United States stands for ‘the protection of fundamental freedoms and universal human rights’ and ‘believes people everywhere should be treated equally’.
“That is why I am so deeply disappointed that Uganda will shortly enact legislation that would criminalize homosexuality,” Obama said in a written statement issued from Southern California, where he was spending the weekend. “The Anti-Homosexuality Bill in Uganda, once law, will be more than an affront and a danger to the gay community in Uganda. It will be a step backward for all Ugandans and reflect poorly on Uganda’s commitment to protecting the human rights of its people. It also will mark a serious setback for all those around the world who share a commitment to freedom, justice and equal rights.
“Enacting this legislation will complicate our valued relationship with Uganda,” he added.
President Museveni said last week that he plans to sign the new legislation, which also prescribes life imprisonment for acts of “aggravated homosexuality.” Those acts are defined as sex acts where one of the partners is infected with HIV, sex with minors or the disabled and repeated sexual offenses among consenting adults.
Uganda has been heavily targeted by Western homosexuals both in sex tourism and with cultural pressure.
Ugandan lawmakers passed the Bill in December. It enjoys broad support among Christian clerics and lawmakers who say it is needed to deter Western homosexuals from ‘recruiting’ Ugandan children.
It is also needed to curtail the pro-homosexual activities of a raft of foreign agencies, including the Open Society, funded by billionaire George Soros, which now has an office in Kampala, the American Ford Foundation, the Dutch humanist organisation HIVOS and North American and European government aid departments.
DONOR
President Obama (l) and Jason Collins (r)
The United States is Uganda’s largest donor, sending more than $400 million in aid annually in recent years. If Museveni signs the bill, the U.S. is expected to find ways to register disappointment over the law by withdrawing some or all of that aid.
Nigeria last month increased penalties against unnatural acts.
Obama supports same-sex marriage and his administration eliminated the Clinton-era ban on openly gay service in the military.
For his State of the Union address last month, Obama sat openly-homosexual basketball player Jason Collins with first lady Michelle Obama.
Simon and Jane MacOnyango have mobilised prayer in neighbouring Kenya.
Obama has also complained about a Russian law banning gay propaganda, and made sure prominent homosexual athletes were on the U.S. delegations to the Sochi Olympics.
Prayer has been mobilised across Uganda and in next-door Kenya, where minister Simon MacOnyango said:
‘The Church (The Body of Christ) should keep Uganda in prayers so that President Yoweri Museveni will resist this external pressure and make the right choice for the people of Uganda. Why should President Obama use his countrymen’s taxes to dangle a carrot to promote sin in another sovereign nation?’

A UKIP Councillor has been sacked for comments linking the recent floods with ‘gay marriage’.
Henley-on-Thames councillor David Silvester was suspended by the party on 19 January after blaming David Cameron for the floods and storms which have hit England and Wales.
UKIP initially said Mr Silvester’s views were “not the party’s belief” but defended his right to state his opinions.
But after protests from the party’s LGBT group he was suspended. Today he was expelled.
His house has been pelted with eggs and had a six-colour homosexual rainbow flag draped on it.
Ironically, Mr Silvester left the Conservative Party over David Cameron’s determination to force ‘gay marriage’ through Parliament. He made similar remarks during his time as a Conservative. He remains a Henley Town Councillor. UKIP, it must be said, opposes gay marriage and Councillor Sylvester has been accused of using party facilities to promote his views.
But was he right to make the link?
In Egypt, God sent hail on Egypt as one of the ten plagues:
Exod 9:23 And Moses stretched forth his rod toward heaven: and the LORD sent thunder and hail, and the fire ran along upon the ground; and the LORD rained hail upon the land of Egypt.
Elijah prayed for a drought and then prayed for rain upon God’s instruction:
1Kings 18:1And it came to pass after many days, that the word of the LORD came to Elijah in the third year, saying, Go, shew thyself unto Ahab; and I will send rain upon the earth. 2 And Elijah went to shew himself unto Ahab. And there was a sore famine in Samaria.
King Ahab blamed Elijah for the drought, although the prophet put him right about where the real responsibility lay:
1Kings 18:17 And it came to pass, when Ahab saw Elijah, that Ahab said unto him, Art thou he that troubleth Israel? 18 And he answered, I have not troubled Israel; but thou, and thy father’s house, in that ye have forsaken the commandments of the LORD, and thou hast followed Baalim.
Solomon heard from the Lord himself that God was both responsible for adverse weather and could be prevailed upon to lift it, but only as a result of heartfelt national repentance:
2Chronicles 7:13 If I shut up heaven that there be no rain, or if I command the locusts to devour the land, or if I send pestilence among my people; 14 If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.
The Psalmist said that all our protection schemes and counter-terrorist measures are a waste of effort unless God himself is watching over us as a corporate group:
Psalm 127:1 Except the LORD build the house, they labour in vain that build it: except the LORD keep the city, the watchman waketh but in vain.
So Mr Silvester is not out on a Biblical limb but soundly in accord with Scripture in principle. God can bring disaster on a land as a result of disobedience to his laws, rulers do bear responsibility, and they should lead the people, not into sin, but to repentance if they want stability and prosperity on their watch.
Whether the Marriage (Same-Sex Couples) Act 2013 is enough on its own to move the Lord to send storms and floods, whether it was the last straw after all the other legislation passed in our land in rebellion from God over the last sixty years, or whether the storms have just been an over-the-top part of our natural weather cycle and, in the case of the Somerset levels, bad management, only God knows.
But he was right to remind us that Goid is not mocked. The words of 2Chr 7:14, Psalm 127:1 and a host of other scriptures remain to warn us that we cannot expect God’s blessing as a nation, a family, a business or as an individual, if we hold his laws in contempt and walk in rebellion from him.
As for UKIP, many Christians will be wondering whether they are the haven of free speech and the natural home for disaffected Bible-believers that they seemed.

The six-colour rainbow ”diversity’ flag on display at a homosexual rally.
A rainbow flag has been raised in Leicester to mark the beginning of February as ‘Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Trans History Month’.
The flag was raised on Monday by Labour Councillor Manjula Sood, a previous Lord Mayor of Leicester, and currently assistant Mayor and Vice Chair of Equal Opportunities, Education and Social Services for Leicester City Council
She said: “The city council is committed to celebrating Leicester’s diversity.”
How celebrating sodomy will increase a sense of city cohesion within Leicester’s Christian and Muslim communities was not stated.
Cllr Sood is Leicester City’s only female Asian elected councillor, a position held since 1996. She is of course a Hindu with strong links to India. According to her biography, she has partaken in the last three International Women’s Day.
Councillor Manjjula Sood
Cllr Sood is very busy promoting diversity. She is Trustee and an Executive Director for the Leicester Council of Faiths, Vice Chair and Women’s Officer for the local Constituency Labour Party, Member of Asian Refuge Shelter, Member of the Afro-Caribbean Working Party (what has she to offer there?) Member of the Children and Young Persons scrutiny committee, Member of the Leicester Domestic Violence forum, naturally, Member of the Faith Regeneration Advisory Group, engaged with developing a multi religion centre in Leicester (very New Age, that) and Member of the Inter Faith Network UK since 1995.
The rainbow flag is also flying outside Leicestershire police headquarters in Enderby, as well as County Hall in Glenfield.
Leicestershire’s assistant chief constable Steph (sic) Morgan, who speaks on LGBT issues for the Association of Chief Police Officers, explained away his and the council’s flying of the flag like this: “Flying the rainbow flag together in this way is a symbol of our joint commitment to the LGBT community locally and is part of ongoing work with our local authority partners to create a just and fair society for all.
“As national LGBT strategic policing lead, I was pleased to see 10 police forces, including Leicestershire police, featured in the Stonewall 100 Index of gay-friendly employers in January 2013.”
Concentrating on such divisive issues as being ‘gay-friendly’ may explain why the police now have no time to investigate internet fraud and why there seem to have been so many recent financial scandals involving senior police officers.

Jayden Wray’s vitamin deficiency was to blame for the broken bones which led to him being taken ‘into care’.
The BBC’s flagship current affairs programme has investigated child-snatching by social services.
In a landmark edition of Panorama screened last night (13/01/2014) entitled ‘I want my baby back’, a number of cases of horrific injustice were revealed.
According to the write-up: ‘Panorama reporter John Sweeney investigates the secretive world of the family courts and asks whether some parents may have unfairly lost their children forever’.
Presenter Sweeney traveled to Spain to interview one mother who fled the country after her elder daughter was taken and ‘freed’ for adoption in the secret family courts.
Like other parents in the film, and many others whose stories were not told, her child was taken after X-rays showed multiple bone fractures, leading to accusations that she or her partner had physically abused the infant.
But new evidence is linking fragile bones with vitamin D deficiency. In the landmark case of baby Jayden Wray, his death from multiple fractures led to his parents being charged with murder and having their surviving child taken ‘into care’.
Paediatric Pathologist Irene Scheimberg’s brilliance should lead to a major rethink on juvenile fractures.
Some very uncomfortable details emerged during the Panorama programme.
Firstly, parents like those of Jayden Wray who protest their innocence are looked upon as uncooperative and ‘in denial’ by social workers, value-judgments which lessen their chances of being re-united with their child. However, if they admit any kind of guilt, they won’t have their baby returned anyway.
Secondly, the programme revealed something of the merry-go-round of medical experts who are paid to present evidence on behalf of social services departments in the family courts. Thousands of pounds are paid out for preparing evidence and presenting it at a hearing. The experts find themselves depending on social services for a considerable income which they know will only continue if they present evidence which supports the position of social services, which appears always to hang on to a child until the bitter end.
Investigative journalist John Sweeney of Panorama
One qualified expert radiographer even told a court that cases of vitamin D deficiency were unknown in white children of Caucasian parents, something which is blatantly untrue.
What the programme did not investigate was the huge sums paid to social services and adoption agencies in the event of a successful adoption. This successor to targets, which also had financial rewards for being met, mean that a single baby is worth £27,000 in adoption grants to somebody.
That might explain why children’s charities always seem so keen on the present system and, put with panic over cases like that of ‘Baby Peter’ why SS departments are so eager to take children ‘into care’.
There are so many children in care now that a scheme to speed up the adoption process has recently been trialled. This, according to the Guardian, has left parents reporting being ‘bulldozed’.
The only bit of possible good news is that Sir James Munby, president of the Family Division of the High Court, said in November last year that parents of children taken into care should no longer be gagged by the courts and journalists should be allowed to report on proceedings. Only the death penalty is more drastic than removing a child, he has said.
But opening up the family courts is not going to happen any time soon, and until it does, what John Hemming MP described last night to Mr Sweeney as ‘a tsunami of injustice’ will continue in the secret family courts with their retinue of tame experts and their backdrop of adoption payments.

Since the Olympic diver Tom Daley announced he was ‘in a relationship’ ‘with a guy’ the papers have been in a frenzy to find out the identity of the mystery ‘boyfriend’.
Our suspicions that it would turn out to be an older man have now been confirmed by a number of tabloids.
The individual concerned is American screenwriter and gay rights activist Dustin Lance Black who at 39 is more than twice Daley’s age. It was Black who encouraged Daley to make his ill-considered video announcement.
Dustin Black in campaigning mode
The Daily Mirror reports that the diver ‘looks up to’ Black whom he met in March. It would not be a stretch of the imagination to wonder if Black is filling the void left by Daley’s late father, Robert, who died tragically two years ago at the age of just 40. The diver was devoted to his father, who never saw his son fulfill his dream of competing at the Olympic Games – and winning a medal.
Writing on Eurosport, Desmond Kane said: ‘In his private moments, Daley must feel like he has been shorn of his support network. The trademark smile must hide a lot with his mum being forced to deal with such ongoing grief. It all remains very raw.’
The Mirror also said that Daley and Black have fallen for each other’. If Daley is having a sort of adolescent crush compensating for his dreadful loss, Dustin Black probably cannot believe his luck. He has been able to initiate a teenage boy into sexual activities he probably would not even have known about this time last year.
A teenage crush on a teacher or classmate of the same sex is not uncommon, but the great majority grow out of such desires and progress to heterosexuality. The danger comes when authority figures or role models signal that such feelings are indicative of an inate ‘orientation’. For this reason as well as concern for his own development, it is encouraging at least that Tom Daley has refused to identify as ‘gay’ and has said he is still attracted to girls.
In April 2010 the American College of Pediatricians cautioned “educators about the management of students experiencing same-sex attraction or exhibiting symptoms of gender confusion.”
A press release explained:
‘The College reminds school superintendents that it is not uncommon for adolescents to experience transient confusion about their sexual orientation and that most students will ultimately adopt a heterosexual orientation if not otherwise encouraged. For this reason, schools should not seek to develop policy which “affirms” or encourages these non-heterosexual attractions among students who may merely be experimenting or experiencing temporary sexual confusion. Such premature labeling can lead some adolescents to engage in homosexual behaviors that carry serious physical and mental health risks.’
The Apostle Paul warned believers In Corinth that those engaged in homosexual activity would not ‘inherit the kingdom of God.’ In a perceptive following verse, he reminded these early Christians that some of them had not only been forgiven their sins but actually delivered from what the Bible describes as ‘vile affections’ by the power of Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit:
1Cor 6:11 And such were some of you: but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God.
The fact remains that, as the Lord Jesus himself said:
Mark 10:6 But from the beginning of the creation God made them male and female. 7 For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and cleave to his wife; 8 And they twain shall be one flesh: so then they are no more twain, but one flesh.
And despite all the campaigning for ‘gay marriage’ by people like Justin Black, becoming ‘one flesh’, in the full emotional and conjugal sense implied by the Lord Jesus, is something a pair of homosexual men or women can never do.
Please pray for Tom Daley (and other young people experiencing similar emotional turmoil) that his homosexual feelings will indeed be transient and that he will grow out of them. Pray that God will protect him from the diseases inherent in unnatural activity and that the Almighty will send people across his path to lead him onto the true way.

The former Co-op Bank chairman, who oversaw the organisation’s near collapse, has been caught using hard drugs.
The Rev Paul Flowers, 63, who it appears is also a Methodist minister, was filmed buying crack cocaine, crystal meth and ketamine, counting out hundreds of pounds in £20 notes days after appearing in front of MPs on the Treasury Select Committee to be questioned about the Co-operative Bank’s financial problems.
Earlier this year the Co-op was forced to pull out of its proposed takeover of the TSB branches of Lloyds-TSB because of a near £1bn hole in its accounts.
In an additional irony, Paul Flowers is himself homosexual and was outed as a drug user by a man he met on a gay dating site disgustingly called ‘Grindr’ in October. The man apparently objected to Flowers using drugs to take advantage of younger men at his parties.
According to the Daily Telegraph, Rev Flowers, who resigned from the bank in June after the disastrous state of its finances were revealed, texted: “I was “grilled” by the Treasury Select Committee yesterday and afterwards came to Manchester to get wasted with friends.”
In another message he apparently boasted that his plans were ‘turning into a two day, drug fuelled gay orgy!!!’
Paul Flowers boasted about the success of the Co-op Bank, saying it would be ‘easy to be smug’ in 2011, two years after it took over the Brittania Building Society and its toxic debts and two years before its financial problems came to light.
He has been suspended by the Methodist Church for three weeks and by the Labour Party, for whom he was a local councillor.
In 2005 the Co-op Bank terminated the bank account of Christian Voice as part of its ‘diversity’ policy objecting to ‘discriminatory pronouncements on grounds of sexual orientation’. The Co-op said the group was ‘incompatible with the position of the Co-operative Bank, which publicly supports diversity and dignity’.
The Co-op Bank’s self-styled and much-trumpeted ‘ethical’ stance has now come back to haunt it, with even the Daily Mirror putting the word in inverted commas in its report on the Flowers scandal. Both the Telegraph and the Mirror claim that Flowers’ drug habit was well known by Labour MPs at Westnminster, prompting the question: ‘How much did his colleagues at the Co-op know about his lifestyle – and did they care?’

If the NSS get their way, Prince Charles will be blocked from having a Christian Coronation service
The National Secular Society (NSS) has announced a campaign to try to block Prince Charles from having a Christian coronation.
The group of radical secularists will be working with the Leigh Day law firm to mount a challenge to the coronation oath, which declares that “the whole world is subject to the Power and Empire of Christ our Redeemer…”
They will also be seeking to remove the monarch’s historic position as head of the Church of England
The coronation service, which goes back at least to the time of King Egbert in the ninth-century, allegedly violates human rights, the NSS claims.
Their case rests on article 9 of the European Convention on Human Rights, which grants citizens the freedom of religion, and article 14 which prohibits religious discrimination.
Up until now, the Secular Society has shown extreme ambivalence towards protecting religious freedom, having opposed British claimants at the European Court of Human Rights who believed their religious freedoms were undermined by equality laws. But now, in a bizarre twist, the NSS has decided to come to the ostensible defense of religious freedom, arguing that the coronation oath violates the monarch’s religious freedom as well as the freedom of the populace who have the ‘right’ to live in a society governed on stringently secularist grounds.
Keith Porteous Wood, the NSS executive director, commented, “The country has changed out of all recognition since the last coronation and we should now be devising an investiture ceremony for the next head of state everyone can feel part of.”
He continued: “A non-religious ceremony allows everybody to feel equally valued… It is no longer appropriate to install the head of state in a religious service of one Christian denomination which – on a normal Sunday – less than 2% of the population attend.”
“…modern-day Britain” the group dramatically added, “is no longer one nation under God. It is one nation under many gods…”
Referring to the monarch’s position as head of the church of England, the NSS announced, “But if we are to retain a monarchy in this country (and many think we should not, although that is not part of the NSS’s agenda) and the monarch is to be head of state, then he or she should not also be ex officio head of the Church of England, or any other particular religion or denomination.”
Keith Porteous Wood is Executive Director of the NSS
The fact that the Prince of Wales has expressed a desire to have a multi-faith coronation, in which he would dispense with the historic title of “Defender of the Faith” for the more watered-down “Defender of Faith”, has not even been sufficient to pacify the angry activists at the NSS. “We object almost as much to Prince Charles’s intention to be ‘defender of faith’” Keith Wood said.
This group of radical secularists has made clear that they will not be satisfied until they have turned Britain into a European-style secular state.
It is evident from the NSS website that their campaign hinges on the myth of religious neutrality and the spurious notion that secularism is a better guarantee of freedom than Christianity. The group’s website quotes the Dutch MEP Sophie in ‘t Veld who declared that “The promotion of a secular democracy, based on individual citizens’ rights, is the best guarantee for freedom of religion.” Those who have studied the history of the twentieth-century may well doubt the veracity of these statements, given that the rise of toleration has been largely pioneered by Christian, not secularists, statesmen.
At the Queen’s coronation in Westminster Abbey in 1953, she was anointed and crowned. Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth was asked by Archbishop Fisher, inter alia:
‘Will you to the utmost of your power maintain the Laws of God and the true profession of the Gospel?’
And the Queen replied: ‘All this I solemnly promise to do.’
At HMQ’s coronation service in 1953, it was declared that ‘The whole world is subject to the Power and Empire of Christ our Redeemer.’
Next the Moderator of the General Assembly of the Church of Scotland presented the Bible to the Queen. Between them, the Archbishop and Moderator said to her:
‘The whole world is subject to the Power and Empire of Christ our Redeemer’
‘Our gracious Queen: to keep your majesty ever mindful of the Law and the Gospel of God as the Rule for the whole life and government of Christian Princes, we present you with this book, the most valuable thing that this world affords. Here is Wisdom; This is the royal Law; these are the lively oracles of God.’
The Archbishop told Her Majesty when she was given the Orb from the Crown Jewels:
‘Receive this Orb set under the Cross, and remember that the whole world is subject to the Power and Empire of Christ our Redeemer.’

The present government has betrayed the family and suppressed our Christian heritage, announced Nigel Farage this week.
The MEP, who represents the UK Independence Party, expressed concern that fear of causing offense has resulted in “Notting Hill claptrap about diversity”.
“We need a much more muscular defence of our Judaeo-Christian heritage” added Mr Farage. “Yes, we’re open to different cultures but we have to defend our values.”
His comments were made in an interview with the largely unsympathetic Telegraph journalist Cristina Odone. During the interview Mr Farage criticized the present government for their “betrayal” of the family, adding “This has been the most anti-family government we have ever seen. The very fact that they pushed for gay marriage, and thought that it was important at a time when not even Stonewall was campaigning for it, shows you their twisted sense of priorities.”
The UKIP leader also criticized the type of ‘equality’ that takes cultural tolerance so far that it turns a blind eye on horrific practices such as female genital mutilation. “We go on about equality but under our noses, female genital mutilation has been going on in this country. Tens of thousands of women a year, but is anyone talking about it? It’s brushed under the carpet.”

Claire Balding (r) with her ‘civil partner’ Alice Arnold
The lesbian BBC sports presenter Claire Balding and Peter Tatchell, ‘Outrage!’ leader and contributor to a 1980s paedophilia campaigning book, are joint second on the Independent’s 2013 ‘Pink List’ of 101 influential homosexuals.
Topping the list was a journalist by the name of Paris Lees, who was apparently born a man and has had a sex change.
Women’s Olympic boxing gold medal winner Nicola Adams MBE was fourth and Ruth Hunt, Deputy CEO of Stonewall, was fifth.
The judges included Ben Summerskill, Chief Executive of Stonewall, as well as a collection of Indy editors.
Matthew Parris, Sir Elton John, Stephen Fry and Sir Ian McKellen are among a celebrity-laden list of past or perhaps past-it campaigners, whom the Indy fervently hopes ‘don’t mind stepping aside to pass on the baton to those who campaign today’.

Magistrates could ask the Government to end the ancient tradition of swearing on the Bible to tell the truth in court if a campaign by secularist groups succeeds.
The Magistrates’ Association, which represents 23,000 lay magistrates, has agreed to discuss a motion claiming that the oath should be abolished because some people do not take it seriously.
The Chief Executive of the Magistrates Association, Mr Chris Brace, has told Christian Voice that rather than being discussed at one of its policy committees, which was stated in the press, notably in the Daily Mail, the proposal is being made as a member’s motion at its Annual General Meeting. We understand the date for the 2103 AGM is Saturday 19th October, but the Association had not at the time of writing put the date on its website.
Mr Brace said: ‘A member wishes to debate this at the AGM and the Board of Trustees decided that this was a motion worthy of debate, without fear or favour.’
Ian Abrahams, 62, a Bristol magistrate who is proposing the motion for scrapping the oath, said: ‘More and more I see people shrug their shoulders or say “whatever” when asked to take it.’I’m suggesting we take holy books out of the process. Instead, people will have to show they understand they could be sent to prison if they don’t tell the truth.
‘I don’t intend my motion to make any comment on religion. It is certainly not anti-religious.’
Church leaders, even without this information, also saw the underlying agenda.
The Rt Rev Michael Nazir-Ali, former Bishop of Rochester, said: ‘This could be the slippery slope towards the increasing secularisation of society. Where will it end – with the Coronation Oath?
‘The Bible is bound up with the constitution, institutions and history of this country. It is right for people to have a choice of oath, a religious or non-religious one.
‘But we are being urged, in the name of tolerance and secularisation, to restrict that choice.’
There is already an option for non-believers to take a secular oath, while those of other faiths can swear on their own holy texts. For example, Muslims may swear on the Koran or Jews on the Old Testament.
The Rev Arun Arora, director of communications for the Church of England, added: ‘Given that the last census showed almost 60 per cent of respondents self-identified as Christians and two thirds as people of faith, this proposal seems to ignore the statistical reality that we remain a faithful nation.
‘This kind of proposal seems driven more by blinkered campaigning agendas than abiding interests in justice and truth.’
Legal expert Lord Carlile said: ‘It would be unacceptable for the choice to take a religious oath to be removed.’
For hundreds of years Christian witnesses have been required to hold the Bible and state: ‘I swear by almighty God that I shall tell the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth.’
Under Mr Abrahams’ proposal, the holy books would be removed and the oath would read: ‘I promise very sincerely to tell the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth and I understand that if I fail to do so I will be committing an offence for which I will be punished and may be sent to prison.’
A Ministry of Justice spokesman said: ‘We have no plans to change the arrangements for swearing an oath or making an affirmation in court, which have worked well for many years and still do.’
In 1971 92 per cent of working-age men were in employment. This year the figure had fallen to 76 per cent.
The number of women in work has gone up by almost as much as the number of men working has shrunk.
Only 53 per cent of women were in paid employment in 1971 compared with 67 per cent.
In August, the Institute for Public Policy Research published its ‘Who’s Breadwinning?’ study reporting that 2.2 million women are now the main breadwinner for their households – a rise of 80 per cent in 15 years.
The number of mothers living with a partner who are the principle household earner has risen from 18 per cent to 31 per cent. The employment rate of lone mothers has risen form 43 per cent to 58 per cent. The report called for universal child-care provision.
Feminists are delighted by all this, except by the news that more men work in high-status professions earning bigger salaries than women.
Daisy Sands, of women’s rights group the Fawcett Society, said: “While highlighting the strides women have made over the last 40 years, this (ONS) report serves as a timely reminder of how far we have to go before we have a women-friendly labour market.”
Meanwhile, the implications for our society of men losing their God-given role as providers of their families as women scurry around trying to balance home and work while children are left in day-care have not been addressed by anyone.

Of the 1,000 young people questioned, 28% said Britain would be better off with fewer Muslims, while 44% said Muslims did not share the same values as the rest of the population.
Some 60% thought the British public had a negative image of Muslims.
Other findings in the Comres survey, conducted in June, include:
* Only three in 10 (29%) think Muslims are doing enough to combat extremism in their communities. Even though 48% of young people agree that Islam is a peaceful religion, more than a quarter (27%) disagree.
* Young people place the blame for Islamophobia in Britain on terror groups abroad (26%), the media (23%) and UK Muslims who have committed acts of terror (21%).
* Young people are divided over whether or not immigration is good for Britain overall. Two-fifths (42%) say it is a good thing but more than a third disagree (35%)
An adviser on anti-Muslim hatred said the findings suggested young people needed to mix more.
Akeela Ahmed, a Muslim from a cross-government ‘working group on anti-Muslim hatred’, said: “These findings indicate that we need to ensure young people are mixing at local levels and that they’re working on projects together so that people can get to know Muslims and vice versa.”
Evidence shows, however, that it is Muslims who do not want to mix. They have formed enclaves in places like Oldham, Bradford, Cardiff, Oxford and Tower Hamlets where non-believers, known as ‘kaffir’, are despised and unwelcome.
A second problem with young people mixing with Muslims is that they could quickly encounter the Muslim practice of ‘taqiyya’ and have their preconceptions hardened.
In brief, ‘taqiyya’ is a culture of lying to protect Islam stemming from advice given by Mohammed himself. It spills over into every normal social encounter with the result that virtually any comment from a Muslim needs to be soundly corroborated before being believed.
Transplanting such a culture into a country whose Christian heritage assumes the truth will always be told and recognises no such loop-hole as ‘Taqiyya’ was always going to be fraught with difficulty.
A third problem is the aggressive manner in which Muslims in Britain practise their religion, with the full face-veil becoming a totem issue.
Anisha Patel, a practising Muslim, wears a black full-face veil and according to her comments in the Newsbeat story, claims to have been attacked by two men who pulled off her daughter’s veil.
“The kind of comments, the kind of looks and stares that we’re experiencing at this moment in time is very different to what it was before,” she said.
“They’ve become much more hostile, much more bitter, and much more aggressive in nature. It’s actually got to the stage where I’m beginning to feel that I want to stay in my house.”
She added: “At the end of the day this is a piece of cloth. It can neither harm anyone or do anything to anyone or do anything to anybody. If you’re going to add all the things on to it and say this is a terrorist or whatever they now think we are, it is just ignorance. Absolute ignorance.”
However, a 20-year-old woman who did not want to be named gave Newsbeat some background to her lack of trust of Muslims:
“When you hear about terrorism, more often than not it is Muslims that have carried it out. I just feel they’re all out to do that, they’re all the same.
“If we went to their country we can’t wear shorts and a crop top, yet they come here and cover themselves up. It’s almost like they’re forcing their religion on to us”, she said.
Such comments will dismay members of government working groups, but they indicate a growing depth of feeling at odds with the historic welcome Britain has given to immigrant communities.
However, groups like Huguenots and Jews fleeing religious persecution held similar religious and moral standards as the British, made attempts to assimilate and at the very least did not bring such an ‘in-your-face’ attitude as the recent wave of Muslims have done.
The Muslim population is set to grow in the United Kingdom by further immigration and a degree of natural fecundity spurned by both the Christian and secularist sectors. Muslims will be over-represented in both local and national government and will become more demanding.
Meanwhile, on present trends our culture will become more crass and brutal (as the website Brutal Britain shows) and both the freedom of the Christian faith and the rich Christian Heritage of Britain will be further eroded. It is highly likely that the church will stay within its walls and forget its duty to stand for the truth of the Gospel in the public square as did the prophets of old.
Given all that, it is a good job that Almighty God is in control, but has this country’s rebellion against his laws now outstripped our previous usefulness in spreading the Gospel? Has our national spiritual bank account slipped too far into the red? If so, there could be a rocky road ahead.

The press fawn over a Russian homosexual activist.
Holding the Winter Olympics in Russia has turned into a jamboree for the professionally aggrieved.
Stephen Fry, described as an ‘actor, author and television presenter’ has written an open letter to Prime Minister David Cameron condemning what he describes as the “toxic mix of shaven headed thuggery and bigoted religion” currently ‘being used to demonise LGBT communities in Russia’. As if there are no shaven-headed homosexual thugs and bigots.
Nick Griffin, leader of the British National Party, told Fry to “get over it”. David Cameron said he was against a boycott.
However, A Downing Street spokesman said the Government remained ”greatly concerned“ about restrictions on the promotion of sodomy in Russia and said Mr Cameron had raised the issue directly with President Putin. President Obama has also raised concerns, as well he might. He has also declined to meet President Putin. What with whistle-blower Snowden and now this attack on his nearest and dearest, it would make any President concerned to defend immorality flounce out of a summit.
The flurry of interest has arisen since Russia’s lower house of parliament, the Duma, passed a law prohibiting the provision of information about homosexuality to people under 18. A fine can be imposed for promoting the Western man’s vice.
Related? Griffin Fry
The WInter Olympics are due to be held in the Russian town of Sochi in February 2014.
By the way, has anyone else been struck by the uncanny similarlity between Stephen Fry and Nick Griffin? Can they by any chance be related? Or at least related to a common porcine ancestor? Not that we do evolution here.
Proving Godwin’s Law, that at some stage Nazi Germany will be mentioned in any online discussion, Fry got his over-the-top retaliation in first, saying:
“The 1936 Berlin Olympics proceeded under the exultant aegis of a tyrant who had passed into law an act which singled out for special persecution a minority whose only crime was the accident of their birth.
”Putin is eerily repeating this insane crime, only this time against gay Russians.
“I am gay. I am a Jew. My mother lost over a dozen of her family to Hitler’s anti-Semitism. I for one, weep at seeing history repeat itself.”
I, for one, weep at the misuse of the comma, but I shan’t be writing to David Cameron about it..
More babies were born in the UK in 2011-12 than any year since 1972, says the Office for National Statistics, as reported by the BBC.
In all, 813,200 UK births were recorded in the year, said the ONS, contributing to population growth that was, in absolute terms, the highest in the European Union.
ONS estimates say the population of the UK grew by 419,900 to 63.7 million between June 2011 and June 2012.
There were 254,400 more births than deaths and 165,600 more people coming to the UK than leaving.
There were 517,800 migrants from overseas while 352,100 people left the country.
Population growth is highest in London with the South-East of England coming in second. Channel 4 has a useful map showing where population growth is highest.
After the low birth-rate a decade ago, births are on course to emulate the nineteen-eighties in around three years and to outstrip the sixties by 2020.
The difference is, in the sixties and eighties it was people of British origin having the babies. Now, that demographic group are averaging below 2 children per woman of child-bearing age, while all the headline-grabbing stuff is coming from immigrants whose cultures still celebrate fecundity.
One Simon Ross, of anti-growth pressure group Population Matters, was reported widely, not least in the Daily Mail (which also has an interesting population chart by age).
He whined: ‘Our growing population is the root of many of our most pressing problems, including a lack of housing, pressure on services and development threats to our countryside and green spaces.
‘These, together with consequent infrastructure investments and transport issues are increasing costs for everyone. Measures by the Government to limit net migration are to be welcomed. However, the Government should also promote the benefits to individuals and society of smaller families.’
That is actually nonsense. The greater pressure on housing is coming from allowing families to split up so nonchalantly through divorce on demand. Services and transport do not stand still. They increase with population. There is no benefit to society from smaller families. A more informed opinion came from Jonathan Portes, director of the National Institute of Economic and Social Research.
He said: “The medium to long-term benefits are substantial. The people who are being born now or the immigrants who are coming here now will help pay for our pensions and public services in the future.”
The danger is not increased population as such but the way our population is being skewed towards a particular religious group.
Dr Leon Moosavi of Liverpool University says the Muslim population in the UK grew from 1.5 million in 2001 to 3.0 million in 2011, from 2% of the total population to something between 4% and 5%. And they are not slowing down yet. If anything, those Muslims born here are even more culturally Islamic and productive of the next generation than their parents.
Vincent Cooper, writing for The Commentator, argues that on present population trends, Muslims will be in a majority in the UK by 2050. Many of our cities will suffer that fate a lot earlier. Ten years before that, the tipping point at which Muslims will form a majority in the House of Commons will arrive.
But let us not blame individual Muslims, let alone Muslim women, for having more children than the current 1.8 norm. They are simply doing what God designed their bodies to do. They are doing what Christians should be doing: Working hard and increasing in a land where they feel like the underdogs.
Centuries ago, before the time of Christ, the people of Judah were carried off to Babylon. What did the Prophet Jeremiah urge them to do? Sit around moping? Watch the skies for their deliverance? No, he told them to build, to plant, to increase and to pray:
Jer 29:4 Thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel, unto all that are carried away captives, whom I have caused to be carried away from Jerusalem unto Babylon; 5 Build ye houses, and dwell in them; and plant gardens, and eat the fruit of them; 6 Take ye wives, and beget sons and daughters; and take wives for your sons, and give your daughters to husbands, that they may bear sons and daughters; that ye may be increased there, and not diminished. 7 And seek the peace of the city whither I have caused you to be carried away captives, and pray unto the LORD for it: for in the peace thereof shall ye have peace.
What did the Lord Jesus tell his followers to do before his return? ‘Occupy till I come.‘ (Luke 19:13)
Our society has a death-wish. We kill our own children, we encourage families to fracture, we whisk children off into ‘care’ to be abused by paedophile rings, we celebrate sexual license, pornography and perversion, even allowing the practitioners of the latter to pretend to ‘marry’.
But the secularists who have engineered our present debauchery have a very short time in which to celebrate. Like every civilisation which has ploughed this furrow before, we shall go down the rubbish-chute of history, being taken over within a generation by a stronger, monogamous culture. That culture, on current trends, will be Islam.
If only it would be Christianity. But that depends on the Church finding some confidence in historical, traditional, red-blooded Christianity. The very future of the United Kingdom depends on whether Christian men will stand up to be counted.

Her Majesty the Queen has given her Royal Assent to the Bill legalising ‘gay marriage’ in England and Wales.
Speaker John Bercow MP told the House of Commons yesterday that Her Majesty had given the Marriage (Same Sex Couples) Bill her approval. The Bill is now an Act of Parliament.
During Her Coronation on 2nd June 1953, and before she was anointed and crowned, Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth was asked by Archbishop Fisher, inter alia:
‘Will you to the utmost of your power maintain the Laws of God and the true profession of the Gospel?’
And the Queen replied: ‘All this I solemnly promise to do.’
Her Majesty’s Government can no more change the definition of marriage than they can declare that God does not exist.
But they have done so, and as Her Majesty always acts on the advice of her ministers she has, and not for the first time, legislated against her Coronation Oath.
As we saw on Monday, the homosexuals will now be targeting freedom of speech and Christianity itself. When will the gay hate speech Bill next raise its ugly head? Who will be the first Christian teacher sacked for refusing to teach that ‘gay shows the way’? Which will be the first church taken to court for refusing a ‘gay wedding’? Watch this space.

Developed by Royal Liverpool University Hospital and the Marie Curie cancer charity, the Liverpool Care pathway involves the withdrawal of medication, food and fluids. Patients are sedated, starved and dehydrated to death.
Its defenders say the LCP offers people a peaceful, pain-free death. But it is only pain-free because of the sedation. Dehydration and starvation are normally painful.
The critics accuse doctors of using the LCP to hasten death and free up beds. Although the Pathway was supposed to be used only in cases where recovery was not possible, elderly patients suffering from non-terminal illnesses have found themselves at risk from doctors illegally practising euthanasia.
NHS Trusts receive payouts for hitting targets related to its use. Needless to say, the Department of Health vigorously denied suggestions that the Pathway has been used for cynical or economic reasons, but ministers have now accepted it is to go.
Christian Voice has been highlighting the Liverpool Care Pathway, and Marie Curie’s involvement with it, even since it was developed in the late 1990s.
Reports have suggested that doctors have been establishing “death lists” of patients to be put on the pathway. There have also been suggestions that hospitals might be employing the method to cut costs and save bed spaces. Reacting to the news, one doctor immediately said his NHS Trusts will need more money if the Pathway is phased out.
Elderly patients simply needing antibiotic treatment for pneumonia or recovering from cancer have been put on the LCP. Many relatives have said they were never consulted before the procedure was started. Others have said that to call it a ‘care’ pathway was wrong when its only possible outcome would be the death of the patient, usually in less than two weeks.
One son said that the treatment of his parents, 89 and 90, was ‘grotesque’ and claimed that his parents were put on the pathway to death without consultation. He expressed surprise and horror, as most people would, that ‘they were given sedatives and had vital food and fluids withdrawn’, which is the defining characteristic of the LCP.
The review, under the chairmanship of Julia Baroness Neuberger, said the controversial end-of-life care regime was used “as an excuse for poor-quality care” and found that while the LCP can offer “high-quality and compassionate care”, there were “too many cases” where it was “incorrectly implemented”. The review concluded that the regime should be phased out over the next six to twelve months and be replaced with a personalised end-of-life care plan for each individual patient.
The relatives of elderly patients will have to be vigilant lest a new regime repeats the brutality of the old.

Last year, the Law Society banned a conference on marriage which had been booked at their HQ in London by Christian Concern. CC were told just days before the event that it breached “equality and diversity” policies.
The conference speakers held mainstream views that marriage is between a man and a woman. They included academics, the head of a political think tank and a writer for the Telegraph newspaper.
Most reasonable people would take the view that the Law Society should have as much freedom to let their conference rooms to whoever they please as a Christian hotelier should have to decide who can sleep under their roof. But for Lawyers to allow a booking and then break their contract doesn’t set a very good example to the rest of us.
Christian Concern have now reached an agreement with the Law Society in which the Society agrees that they are entitled to hold their views and can book the premises in future. But CC point out that this kind of what they call ‘censorship’ is happening before any change in the law on marriage.
What will happen after ‘gay marriage’ is enacted is anyone’s guess, but our guesswork can be helped by the Law Society’s foray into the promotion of sodomites’ rights post ‘gay marriage’.
Fiona Woolf in her regalia as an Alderman of the City of London
As well as taking part in the London Gay Pride Parade on 29th June 2013, and despite promising to hold ‘a debate on same-sex marriage’, the Law Society is sponsoring a conference next Thursday under the banner of the ‘InterLaw Diversity Forum’ to ‘secure real equality for LGBT+ people now that a comprehensive legal framework has been achieved’. ‘Special guest speakers’ are Tim Hailes, MD of JP Morgan and Fiona Woolf, a previous president of the Law Society and diversity advocate who is about to become Lord Mayor of the City of London.
Now they have – or are about to get – legal equality (don’t tell them that the Marriage (Same Sex Couples) Bill now going through Parliament isn’t ‘equal marriage at all) ‘the gays’ want even more.
Dressing up their demands in terms of ‘anti-violence’ and ‘anti-LGBT+ bullying’ (no, we don’t know what the + is for either) ignores the fact that most violence against homosexuals occurs within their own network, and that their anti-bullying programmes encourage bullying. The real agenda will be about how to shut up those opposed to them and how to push Christians out of public sector jobs.
You heard it here first.
