Parents in Hull have withdrawn their four-year-old daughter from pre-school over inappropriate content in Relationships and Sex Education.
The decision follows their discovery that the school was using a book entitled “Grandad’s Pride.” The pro-gay propaganda book carries illustrations of homosexual men wearing next to nothing and women posing as men who have undergone surgical mutilation.
The Mail reports that Will and Maria Taylor, of Hull, East Yorkshire, were horrified when they spotted ‘images of men who are partially naked in leather bondage gear’ in the pages of Grandad’s Pride.
Another image featured ‘trans-men’ (that is, women) with ‘top surgery’ scars from double-mastectomy, sparking a furious reaction from parents who say that it ‘encourages body modifications too early’.
However, the Biblical reaction to their reported comment is that such mutilation should not be allowed at all, at any age, in a civilised country, let alone one like the United Kingdom that is constitutionally Christian.
‘Inappropriate content’
‘Grandad’s Pride’ is the creation of author and illustrator Harry Woodgate – who ridiculously uses “they/them pronouns”.
When the serpent tempted Eve in the Garden of Eden, we read: Gen 3:6 And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat.
Note, ‘she took’ not ‘they took’, ‘her husband’ not ‘their husband’ and ‘he did eat’ not ‘they did eat’. ‘They /them’ is the plural form, as we see in the very next verse: Gen 3:7 And the eyes of them both were opened, and they knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together, and made themselves aprons.
Naturally, Waterstones gave Mr Woodgate an award for an earlier pro-gay book, ‘Grandad’s Camper’. He has also received an award from pro-trans lobby group Stonewall.
Meanwhile, trustees at Genesis Pre School agreed that the book had inappropriate content for children below four and have now apparently withdrawn it from their shelves. In an email seen by the BBC, the chair of trustees apologised to Mr Taylor and his family for the distress caused. However, staff at the pre-school initially defended the book which was marked as suitable for age four plus.
Naked pro-gay propaganda
Media coverage concentrated on the ‘age- inappropriate images’. Even papers like the Mail and Telegraph failed to voice concerns that ‘Grandad’s Pride’ constitutes unashamed pro-gay, pro-trans propaganda from start to finish.
There are images of posters saying ‘love is love’. (Next time someone says that to you, ask them if they are going to drink from the toilet pan. After all, ‘Water is water’.) The illustration above shows characters in the book holding up a banner calling for ‘Trans Rights Now’. The discussion between ‘Milly’ and ‘Grandad’ goes like this:
“What’s pride”, I ask. “Pride is like a giant party where we celebrate the wonderful diversity of our communities and share the message that everyone should be treated with equality and respect; no matter who they love or what gender they are”.
Having leaders, teachers, and trustees who believe children at any level deserve to be taught such a bunch of politically-correct, trite disinformation bordering on outright lies and appearing to be AI-generated poses a significant threat not just to their future but to our society as a whole. It is rebellion and a sin before God. It is simply not okay for those in charge to push pro-gay and pro-trans ideologies on children and hope their parents won’t notice.
Isa 3:9 The shew of their countenance doth witness against them; and they declare their sin as Sodom, they hide it not. Woe unto their soul! for they have rewarded evil unto themselves.
Publisher’s reaction
Publisher of the book Andersen Press defended its content after Genesis Pre-School in Hull decided to remove it from its shelves.
The publisher described critics’ concerns of ‘hidden messages’ in the book depicting a grandad wearing leathers for ‘Pride’ as ‘baseless, deeply offensive and homophobic.’ Furthermore, the company, along with author Harry Woodgate and the school, had all been subjected to ‘hate’ which probably translates as mild criticism.
Further, Mr Woodgate was seen in a recent video, following yet another book award, advocating for children of all ages regarding sodomy. In his words: ‘Who you are is valid, who you are should be celebrated. There are a whole community of people who are in your corner fighting for you.’
Let us pray the Lord will raise up a whole community of people standing up for children and fighting for their innocence and for righteousness. The Bible says, Psalm 11:3 If the foundations be destroyed, what can the righteous do?

Since September 2020, ‘Relationships Education’ has been compulsory for all pupils receiving primary education and ‘Relationships and Sex Education’ (RSE) for all pupils receiving secondary education in the UK. RSE policy has encouraged the promotion of “pro-gay” propaganda in schools and classified children and parents whose views differs from the ideologies of the education elite as homophobic.
The Department for Education (DFE) emphasises that primary school subjects should incorporate the fundamental elements of healthy and respectful relationships, with an emphasis on family and friendships, across all settings.
The policy also says: ‘at secondary school, teaching builds on the knowledge acquired at primary and develops pupils’ understanding of health, with an increased focus on risk areas such as drugs and alcohol, as well as introducing knowledge about intimate relationships and sex and how to have positive and healthy sexual relationships.’ You might think such an approach would emphasise age-appropriate content and conversations. But the educational establishment and the third-party sex educators take a different view, and have little respect for ‘guidelines in the admittedly rare moments these disagree with their pre-conceptions.
Sex educators recognise that children’s minds are significantly shaped during their early developmental stages. So does the Bible:
Deut 11:19 And ye shall teach them (the laws of God) to your children, speaking of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, when thou liest down, and when thou risest up.
Let children be children
The concern shouldn’t solely rest on the exposure of children to age-inappropriate content through the “Grandad’s Pride” book. Its approval and presence within schools should never have been permitted from the start.
The Bible says, 1 Corinthians 13:11 When I was a child, I spoke as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things.
The sex educators know that principle too. Their plan is that when the children grow up, they will retain the godless, amoral values they were taught in school.
Social reaction
This book has not only sparked reactions from parents, but on social media platforms.
A user @JapanesePolar tweeted: “This is Granddad’s Pride, by Harry Woodgate. Marketed for 2-7yr olds. Spot the man in fetish gear; the young woman who has had her breasts removed; the girl holding the “love is love is love” flag – classic paedophilia grooming messaging. It’s really not ‘Be Kind’.”
Another user Ali Bee@OldWomanSinging wrote: “I don’t know if anyone caught this in the foul granddad’s pride book, but a ‘Gilbert’ is slang for a paedo and of course Gilbert loves chickens.
Jane, Empress of the Known Universe (but not a GP)@blablafishcakes wrote: “It gets worse. Look what else is smuggled into the illustrations of “Grandad’s Pride”. Two MAPs alongside the sign “Love is Love is Love”. If you know the code, you know… if you don’t: MAPs are Minor Attracted Persons and Love is Love is the covert little mantra of paedophiles.”

Sri Lanka NGO Equal Ground is a foreign agent working for Western governments and foundations
A local NGO pushing for decriminalisation of unnatural acts and gross indecency in Sri Lanka is a foreign agent, Christian Voice can reveal.
The pro-gay non-profit Equal Ground, which also promotes the destructive ideology of transgenderism, is financially supported by the High Commissions of the UK, Canada, and Australia and the Embassies of the United States, the Netherlands and Switzerland.
Equal Ground is also funded by the wealthy UK-based Sigrid Rausing Trust and the overtly-homosexual GiveOut.org. On the website of the latter, we read: ‘In 2021, GiveOut’s grant will support Equal Ground’s core costs as they continue decriminalisation efforts in Sri Lanka.’
West uses agent to meddle in Sri Lankan politics
Equal Ground’s ‘decriminalisation efforts’ have been targeted at the courts, in what is now known as ‘Strategic Litigation’. That device uses the courts to force changes to civil and criminal law. ‘Strategic Litigation’ is now a well-developed tool of foreign-funded pro-sodomy activists all over the developing world.
Let us be clear. Western foundations and governments are using a local agent, which they have set up, to interfere in the internal affairs of Sri Lanka. Imagine the row if Sri Lanka was meddling in the politics of the UK or Canada.
Equal Ground also lists the UK-based Kaleidoscope Trust as a ‘partner’ alongside US-based ‘InterPride’, the ‘Fund for Global Human Rights’ and ‘Sysco LABS’ (‘the innovation office of Sysco, the No. 1 foodservice provider in the world)’ together with the pro-trans ‘Equality Fund’, which is itself funded by the UK and Canada.
The Equal Ground NGO is now working with a Sri Lanka MP, Hon Premanath C. Dolawatte, who is attempting to garner support for a bill to decriminalise unnatural acts and gross indecency. It would be no surprise if foreign actors have already sought to channel funds to the campaign of Hon Dolawatte.
Be that as it may, foreign governments and foundations are meddling in Sri Lanka to force that nation to legalise unnatural acts, alien to family, culture, decency and the eternal laws of the Almighty:
Lev 20:13 If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them.
Article 365 of the Sri Lankan Penal Code, which dates from the time of colonial British Ceylon, like its Kenyan (Art 162) equivalent, criminalizes ‘carnal intercourse against the order of nature’. Article 365A prohibits gross indecency. The former offence carries a sentence of ten years while the latter is punishable by two years’ imprisonment. The offences follow divine law, but are anathema to modern Western thinking.
Sri Lanka’s Equal Ground NGO turn a beach into no-go area for families
UK-based organisations are pushing sodomy onto Sri Lanka through funding of other projects as well. The Westminster Foundation for Democracy (WFD), boasts on its website that it funded a series of pro-LGBT short fictional propaganda films. These, it says, ‘premiered in the country in late 2021 and will go on tour around the country in 2022.’
Furthermore, the project was ‘funded by the UK’s Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office and implemented in partnership with Kaleidoscope Trust (KT).’ The UK Foreign Office is caught once more interfering in the affairs of a sovereign country.
And of course the foreign-funded pro-gay Sri Lankan-based ‘Equal Ground’ NGO was a ‘local CSO partner’ in the enterprise.
NGO transparency
Speaking on transparency, ‘Equal Ground’ say: ‘We will not withhold information about our activities or finances from our donors. If we make a mistake, we will own up to it and find a way to correct it.’
What they will not do is admit to is how much their donors give or the sum of their total income and operating expenses. Their Equal Ground 2021 annual report does not name any donors. Only on page 5 of their latest 2022 report do we find some ‘funding partner’ logos, to which our research has added more.
The glossily-produced publication and the activities of Equal Ground certainly indicate that the funding they receive from the West is immense. If a Sri Lanka MP were to move a Transparency Bill, the funding for this foreign agent and others like it could be revealed.
Matt 10:26 Fear them not therefore: for there is nothing covered, that shall not be revealed; and hid, that shall not be known.
Note that the funding of Equal Ground is all from the woke white Western nations. No Eastern-European, Asian or African Embassy, High Commission or NGO is funding Equal Ground. Nor are any Sri Lankans, with one strange exception.
Surprisingly, Equal Ground say Sri Lanka’s biggest conglomerate, John Keells Holdings PLC, is also funding them. To what extent is not clear and it could be a lie, for the NGO is not listed in John Keells PLC accounts.
The Wall Street Journal puts JKH PLC’s latest turnover at 276,640m SL Rupee, or $940m. Its directors will no doubt bump into company directors from the West as they jet around the world, and with wokeness now endemic in Western business, groupthink may have overcome decency. Whatever the reason, John Keells PLC recently launched a ‘OneJKH’ initiative to show how ‘diverse’ and ‘inclusive’ they are.
Under ‘Human Capital’ they say: ‘LGBTIQ: In September 2021, another key milestone was reached with the completion of the Inclusive Workplace Survey conducted in partnership with The National Transgender Network (NTN) and The Grassrooted Trust, to obtain a broad range of information on trans inclusivity in the corporate sector. During the same period, the Group joined IFC Sri Lanka’s ‘TWC+’ (‘Together We Can Plus), making commitments on inclusivity towards Persons with Disabilities.’
Pray for Sri Lanka
Across the world, transgenderism, men pretending to be women, is being seen as the lie it is. Sports bodies are stopping men competing as women. Young women are coming forward distraught at the irreversible mastectomies and hormone injections they went through vainly trying to be men. This ‘trans bubble’ may not yet have burst in Sri Lanka but John Keells PLC should distance themselves from this evil and from the anti-family agenda of the gay activists if Krishan Balendra wants to be on the right side of history.
In the meantime, please pray for Sri Lanka. Pray that the desires of the Western nations to corrupt Sri Lanka and its children are thwarted. Pray that their foreign agents are exposed for what they are. Pray that support for the bill being moved by Hon Dolawatte drains away. Pray that instead, Sri Lanka seeks the Lord and his ways. Pray for the directors of John Keells:
Psalm 34:14 Depart from evil, and do good; seek peace, and pursue it.
And please pray for Christian Voice and for the Lord to raise up Christians in Sri Lanka to stand for righteousness.

Pro-trans lobby group Stonewall has helped draft gender policies of up to 30 NHS trusts, according to reports.
Government officials have expressed their displeasure over the fact that 30 trusts have allowed the “LGBT” rights group to write policies on equality and caring for patients who describe themselves as “transgender”.
Health Secretary Steve Barclay was reportedly ‘appalled’ that some NHS managers have brought Stonewall in, despite government guidance urging against outside advice being sought.
Additionally, reports indicate that an organisation such as Mermaids, which promotes “child transitioning,” has also been playing a role in influencing policies within the National Health Service.
A source close to Steve Barclay said, ‘The Health Secretary has been clear that equality issues in healthcare services should be dealt with by normal management processes rather than by bringing in external providers.
‘He is appalled to hear some managers are failing to respond and will be discussing with officials what further steps to take. NHS trusts and other health bodies should be relentlessly focused on caring for all patients and cutting waiting lists, not wasting time and money on woke virtue-signaling’.
Meanwhile, the health minister Will Quince also said on Tuesday that ‘NHS trusts should develop their own policies without the help of organisations like Stonewall, adding that there was a danger of “ideology” coming before the concerns of patients and staff’.
The founder of the Women’s Rights Network Heather Binning said the guidance produced by NHS trusts includes the “language of gender ideology”, and that it presents “the law as Stonewall would like it to be, not how it is.
Further, Conservative MP Nic Fletcher said, ‘ It’s unacceptable that the NHS continues to place the safety and privacy of women at risk because of ideological capture by a tiny but vocal lobbying group’.
However, Government officials say NHS trusts should have their own policies, leaving the government powerless as trusts join Stonewall despite all the ‘guidance’. Why do they not make their guidance law? They are complicit, despite their bluster.
Hospital listings
The Dudley Group NHS Foundation Trust listed Stonewall alongside its HR and LGBTQ+ teams as ‘contributors’ to its guidelines, while guidance by University Hospitals Sussex NHS Foundation Trust thanks Stonewall ‘for reviewing and suggesting improvements’. It also states: ‘Stonewall has an excellent … language guide available online.’
In February 2021, NHS Newcastle said, ‘ We are part of the Stonewall Diversity Champions Programme , a good practice employers’ forum on sexual orientation, and will work with Stonewall on a range of issues.
‘We have taken part in the Workplace Equality Index – a leading tool for employers to measure their efforts to tackle discrimination and create inclusive workplaces for lesbian, gay and bisexual employees’.
Sheffield Teaching Hospital even received a Stonewall gold award for its inclusion of promoting “LGBTQ” people in the workplace.
The Trust was praised for its work, creating a workplace where ‘LGBTQ+’ employees can ‘bring their full selves to work’.
Stonewall funding
According to Taxpayers Alliance, public bodies donate over a million per year to lobby group Stonewall despite government departments being told to withdraw from the Diversity Champions scheme.
The group, which works with organisations to promote sodomy at homes, schools, and work, has previously been accused of taking an “extremist stance” by a founding member.
Meanwhile, membership for the scheme cost taxpayers at least £709,225 in 2021-22 with 234 public organisations paying subscriptions.
The number of paying organisations has reduced from 327 between 2018-19 and 2020-21 as most police forces, Companies House and the Museum of London left the scheme.
However, 175 public bodies have admitted to remaining members, including the Foreign, Commonwealth /Development Office (FCDO) and Department for Environment, Food/ Rural Affairs, despite Liz Truss pushing for all government departments to leave in May 2021.
Christians are commanded to speak truth to those in power: Isa 58:1 Cry aloud, spare not, lift up thy voice like a trumpet, and shew my people their transgression, and the house of Jacob their sins.
The Stonewall group could not promote sodomy and trans ideology as much as they do without financial support.

Promoting same-sex relationships in the name of “an all-inclusive society” has eaten deep into all sectors across the UK. As the psalmist said:
Psalm 12:8 The wicked walk on every side, when the vilest men are exalted.
In education, teachers who disagree get fired while in other sectors they either asked to step down from senior roles or or suspended from committees.
A Christian teacher was banned from teaching for addressing a girl as a girl. And a court says parents can’t object to their 4-year-old forced into ‘gay pride’ event.
King Lawal, a Christian local councillor, also got suspended and is under investigation for tweeting that pride is not a virtue but a sin.
The Bible says,
Proverbs 16:18 Pride goeth before destruction, and an haughty spirit before a fall.
Stonewall is particularly involved in the ‘trans’ issue, the Bible is clear, Christian Voice has in previous articles maintained Biblical teaching that there is no possibility of altering God’s creation. Leading scientists and researchers have said human biology can not be changed. If you are born with XX chromosomes you cannot change yourself to XY, and vice versa. No amount of gender hormones, no surgical mutilation can achieve it. It is stupidity and wickedness for any nation to allow its people to try.

The UK government is set to face a lawsuit for allowing children as young as five be taught age- inappropriate topics in Relationships and Sex Education (RSE).
Equality/ Human Rights lawyer Dr Anna Loutfi, of the Bad Law Project and families of some of the children concerned (which is almost all of them!) have come together to file a class action lawsuit against the Department for Education of the UK government.
They are calling for Personal Social Health and Education (PSHE), which RSE comes under, to be abolished from schools and for parents to have the right to withdraw their children from lessons dealing with sex, health and relationships.
Speaking on GBNews, Dr Anna Loutfi said, ‘The problem is not teaching children in schools, but the issue is rogue actors posing as charities otherwise known as the third sector and these organisations are completely unregulated.
‘They produce the materials. Sometimes they are produced outside the national jurisdiction. For example, we found certain local education authorities using materials that have been taken from the United States of America, and there is no oversight on the content of these materials. Advocacy groups are picking their own ideas of what they think is okay for children to know. Parents are not allowed to be part of the discussion’, she said.

Dr Loutfi added that ‘Thanks to the third sector, we have lost control of regulation, in the same manner we would do if there had been a military coup, and we had a Junter taking control of the schools. We are not allowed to have conversations about what these materials are for.
‘ As a nation, we have lost any discernment of what age groups are suitable for certain kinds of materials. As a country and a society, we have to be discerning about what we embrace, encourage, and what we don’t.’
Unlawful to teach gender ideology and identity as fact
The Education Act 1996 is explicit that the promotion of any idea that is contentious is unlawful. By promotion, the statute maintains that contentions ideas cannot be presented as if it is the only version available in that area. It has to be a dispassionate, fair, and non-partisan presentation of the fact.
Even Section 56 (sub 403) of the Education Act 1996 states that the Secretary of State must issue guidance designed to secure that when sex education is given to registered pupils at maintained schools—
(a) they learn the nature of marriage and its importance for family life and the bringing up of children, and
(b) they are protected from teaching and materials which are inappropriate having regard to the age and the religious and cultural background of the pupils concerned.
The question is, why is this part of the law ignored by sex educators?
The Bible stresses the importance of doing things God’s way and avoiding the unruly: Proverbs 28:7 Whoso keepeth the law is a wise son: but he that is a companion of riotous men shameth his father.
And here is some of what the Bible teaches about the purpose of education: Deuteronomy 6:7 And thou shalt teach them (God’s laws) diligently unto thy children, and shalt talk of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, and when thou liest down, and when thou risest up.
Section 56/404 of the Education Act 1996 says that schools cannot keep parents from knowing about the sex education being taught to their children.
The statute says that schools should make, and keep up to date, a separate written statement of the schools’ policy with regard to the provision of sex education, and (b)make copies of the statement available for inspection (at all reasonable times) by parents of registered pupils at the school and provide a copy of the statement free of charge to any such parent who asks for one.
And yet a mother lost her case in court when she demanded a school share sex education materials, taught to her daughter, brought in by a publicly-funded third sector body with charitable status.
Under Freedom of Information laws, Clare Page requested that the lesson plan, accompanying slides, and the names of the facilitators be released after her daughter was taught that hetero-normativity was a ‘bad thing’, and that she should be ‘sex positive’ in her relationships.
The School of Sexuality Education, which hosted the class at Hatcham College, a state school in New Cross, Southeast London, refused to release the information which led to Mrs Page making legal action. But a judge said she had no right to see them.
Stonewall and Mermaids, both promoters of sodomy and transgenderism, have been especially blamed for their propaganda in schools. Dr Loutfi described them as two main actors among other charities pushing gender ideology in schools. She questioned why the UK government consults these two organisations and not other bodies with different views.
‘Why have these charities redesigned the law according to their fantasy to saying “gender reassignment” can be with any age, and anyone who goes against this, is a bigot, as against what the law says which is 18?
‘This is contrary to the Equality Act 2010, which has a list of protected characteristics on the basis of non-discrimination, one of which is “gender reassignment” (GRA 2004)’. It permits only people who are 18 and above to make this decision.’
The lawyer added that we live in a society driven by the repetition of slogans and mantras. Even government ministers and lawyers are disregarding the letter of the law and going with mantras seen on social media. However, the Department of Education should be held accountable for neglecting to address this issue which has resulted in so many young people self-harming, socially transitioning, and sometimes “medically transitioning”.
According to the sense of the Bible, it is not okay to permit “gender reassignment” at any age, let alone for children. Those who support prescribing damaging hormones to children are well described in Scripture: Job 13:4 But ye are forgers of lies, ye are all physicians of no value.
In previous articles, Christian Voice has asserted that emotions and wants during puberty are not connected to what activists refer to as “gender identity and dysphoria.” What matters is good parenting with the help of God, being watchful and discerning when something is wrong, and getting the right help without brainwashing the child with unhealthy ideologies.

Costa stands accused of a bizarre virtue-signalling stunt with an advert promoting mutilatory double mastectomies in healthy young women.
The coffee firm has used a cartoon image of a “trans man” (ie a woman) with obvious mastectomy scars.
On the Unherd website, Joan Smith described Costa’s trans mastectomy advert as ‘an insult to women.’ She said: ‘The coffee chain is oblivious to the pain it causes troubled young girls’.
Detransitioner Sinead Watson said: ‘There is absolutely nothing glamorous about having your breasts removed. I should know. I only have to look in the mirror to see what a transitioned chest looks like.’
Costa is promoting a medical scandal. The chain now has angry customers threatening a boycott while Labour MP Lloyd Russell-Moyle ludicrously defended it on Julia Hartley-Brewer’s TalkTV show as ‘people making adjustments to their body’, as if a mastectomy is no more serious than a haircut.
The Biblical position is clear. It is God who decides whether we are male or female, not us: Gen 1:27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.
The midwife does not ‘assign’ your sex, she simply discerns it: Luke 1:57 Now Elisabeth’s full time came that she should be delivered; and she brought forth a son.
While those who think they know better than the Almighty are cursed by the Word of God: Isa 45:9 Woe unto him that striveth with his Maker! Shall the clay say to him that fashioneth it, What makest thou? 10 Woe unto him that saith unto his father, What begettest thou? or to the woman, What hast thou brought forth?
The Costa advert is the latest example of the UK establishment’s wholesale rebellion against the Almighty. It shows why the whole edifice of woke law needs to be pulled down in national repentance, so that things begin to go well for all the people of this land, not just confused young women deluded into thinking they are really men:

According to Sky News, Attorney General Victoria Prentis MP said the Government would have to change the law if it wanted to stop children assuming a different gender in schools.

Government lawyers have also raised concerns about proposals to include a free speech defence so that teachers would not be ‘compelled’ to use a pupil’s chosen pronouns.
But none of it can be done while the Equality Act stays as it is. So the Attorney General’s observation of amending the law begs the question: Why they are not doing that already? How long have they been in office? Thirteen years?
If the Government are genuinely committed to ensuring the safety of children and resolving the persisting “gender identity crisis” within schools, why is the Government not taking urgent action to change the law now?
It is because, as the Guardian reported more than three months ago, Equalities Secretary Kemi Badenoch is still dithering after asking the Equality and Human Rights Commission (EHRC) for advice on the change. And of course the usual suspects, the Stonewalls of this world, feet securely under the government table, are opposing it.
Safeguarding of children has a Biblical precedent in the words of our Lord: Matthew 18:6 But whoso shall offend one of these little ones which believe in me, it were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and that he were drowned in the depth of the sea.
‘Gender Reassignment’ should be banned
We need to be very clear that in anything like a God-fearing society, or even one with common sense, no child should be allowed to set out on the ‘social transitioning’ pathway. Changing pronouns, clothing and toilets leads inexorably to puberty-blocking hormones and mutilatory surgery, which a civilised society would prohibit. If someone has a psychological, emotional or spiritual problem, stopping puberty and cutting off bodily parts is not the way to address it.
Those who are prescribing damaging hormones to children are well described in Scripture: Job 13:4 But ye are forgers of lies, ye are all physicians of no value.

Teaching in fear
Teachers in schools across the UK appear to be walking on eggshells in matters of “gender identity”. It has significantly affected the way they carry out their jobs, as most teachers get sanctioned for what schools describe as ” falling below teaching standards”.
In May 2023, a Christian teacher was stopped indefinitely from teaching in any sixth-form college or children’s home in England for what they claim to be “misgendering” a pupil.
33-year-old Joshua Sutcliffe was banned from the teaching profession for addressing a girl as a girl. Mr Sutcliffe unapologetically admitted to not using the pupil’s preferred pronouns and plans to appeal the court ruling.
Guidance on the UK government page says, ‘Parents have the duty to protect their children’s rights until they are old enough to make their own way in the world.
‘Provide the child with food, clothing and a place to live. Also, provide safety, supervision and control amongst other things.’
The emphasis on “old enough to make informed decisions,” and providing supervision/control, as stated above, seems to have become irrelevant in this era of “gender rights and inclusivity.”
Parental consent in matters such as “gender identity” and ‘sex education’ should not be up for debate.
The Bible says, Proverbs 22:6 Train up a child in the way he should go: And when he is old, he will not depart from it.
In a separate case, a court ruled against Christian parents who took a London school to court after it prevented pupils, including her 4-year-old son, from opting out of a school ‘gay pride’ event.
The parents, Izzy and Shane Montague are to appeal their case after the Central London County Court dismissed their claim against their child’s former school, Heavers Farm, for attempting to force him to participate in an “LGBT-themed Pride Parade”. Christian parents, teachers, activists, public servants being cancelled for expressing Biblical views, need their freedom of speech protected. Only national repentance can save this United Kingdom:
In November 2022, teachers at a Scottish secondary school were ordered to keep gender changes of pupils a secret.
A local paper reported that staff at a West Dunbartonshire high school received an email from the head teacher warning them not to divulge the information of children’s gender decisions.
Teachers at the school also revealed that a growing number of pupils were assuming new identities, with staff and pupils ordered to use new names and pronouns without question.
Our major concern is to let children grow in the way of the Lord, and enjoy their childhood without unnecessary intrusions.
As the Bible puts it, 1 Cor 13:11 When I was a child, I spoke as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child; but when I became a man, I put away childish things.
Moreover, children should not be taught God made a mistake when he created each one of us. Gen 5:2 Male and female created he them; and blessed them, and called their name Adam, in the day when they were created.

The BBC reports that lesbians and ‘influencers’ Megan and Whitney Bacon-Evans, known on social media as ‘Wegan’, have won an IVF alleged-discrimination case. NHS Frimley Integrated Care Board had said same-sex couples would have to pay for 12 rounds of In Vitro Fertilisation before getting it free.
Heterosexual couples just needed to be trying to conceive for two years. ‘Wegan’ said that was discrimination, and ‘inequality’.
On Instagram, the girlie pair announced ‘victory’ to their 116,000 followers. They said: “Frimley ICB recognise the need to update their policy to remove the inequality between same-sex female couples and heterosexual couples.” So they have dropped their legal action. They have set no legal precedent, but you feel they have changed the cultural environment in the NHS. Indeed, you can have the sense they were pushing at an open door.
IVF for lesbians all over the Western world
All over the Western world lesbians are being given IVF. Australia legalised IVF for same-sex couples in 2002. Sweden allowed it in 2005. In 2021, France joined Belgium, Spain, Denmark, Finland, Ireland, Luxembourg, Malta, the Netherlands, Sweden, Iceland and Norway in permitting lesbians to access fertility treatment.
In 2015, the BBC reported on the Human Fertilisation and Embryology Authority which revealed the number of IVF cycles in Wales alone involving women in same sex relationships and single women in 2013 had doubled to nearly 300.
Consultant gynaecologist Peter Bowen-Simpkins, medical director at the London Women’s clinic, said they had seen a huge increase in same sex women seeking fertility treatment. About half the patients at its Cardiff clinic were lesbian couples.
But the big issue for the lesbians remains public funding. It is still not law that they must have it at taxpayers’ expense, but equally it isn’t law that they must pay for it themselves. The decision remains with each NHS trust.
Barren womb is never satisfied
Let us just step back a moment. We had deep misgivings about IVF from the start. The problem for Christians is that during the ‘in vitro’ (in a glass) method of fertilisation, more embryos are created than are needed. Only one or maybe two are implanted. So the rest of these tiny human beings are either deep-frozen or discarded there and then. The ones deep-frozen may ultimately be destroyed as well. That’s human life washed away.
But equally, the Bible’s book of Proverbs speaks right in to the human condition when it numbers the barren womb as the only human element among four things which are never satisfied: Prov 30:15b There are three things that are never satisfied, yea, four things say not, It is enough: 16 The grave; and the barren womb; the earth that is not filled with water; and the fire …
You may never feel the truth of that until you have been trying unsuccessfully for years to have children. Each time, hopes are raised only to be dashed. There is no end to the testimonies on social media of women, couples, who finally made it, left to encourage those yet to receive what the Bible describes as God’s blessing: Psalm 127:3 Lo, children are an heritage of the LORD: and the fruit of the womb is his reward.
Sex education for lesbians
So given that IVF was originally brought in as a way to help couples struggling to conceive naturally to have the baby they have been longing for, how do lesbians fit in? What is wrong with Megan or Whitney’s reproductive parts?
I don’t know, but I am guessing, on the balance of probabilities, nothing at all. If either of them wants a baby, they need only do what has been done for millennia. If they don’t know that, then here’s some sex education for them, from the first book of the Bible: Gen 16:4 And he (that’s Abraham) went in unto Hagar (that’s his wife Sarah’s maid), and she conceived:
That’s how it’s done, girls. So the only thing wrong with ‘Wegan’ is the psychological, or spiritual, disorder that prevents either of them forming a emotional attachment with a man such that it leads to conjugal activity.
That is why we read in the BBC’s 2015 article above that: “One in every ten IVF cycles was now using sperm from a ‘donor’ (That’s a stranger), and a third of all patients using ‘donor’ sperm are either single women or women in same sex relationships.”
AI out of the question?
If a cattle (usually a milk) farmer finds housing a bull too much aggravation, he makes a phone call and a man, nearly always a man, comes round with frozen straws filled with bull semen. The cow on heat (she is described as ‘bulling’) is restrained in a crush, that does not mean she is crushed, it’s just what the cage is called, and the AI guy squirts the defrosted semen up into the appropriate place.
It is not unknown for a woman in prison to have a tiny syringe smuggled in filled with her man’s seed, and then, ‘How did she become pregnant?’ But I guess artificial insemination for Wegan would mean a known father for the baby of whichever of them. Furthermore, it might not be keeping the moment of fertilisation sufficiently at arm’s length for their tender femme-lesbian emotions.
In addition, the father might demand his name be put on the child’s birth certificate. Because, as the Guardian reports here, another section of the Human Fertilisation and Embryology Act 2008 allowed a gay or lesbian couple to put both their names on the child’s birth certificate. Not for the first time, the politicians legislated a lie. So, in fifteen years’ time, when a son or a daughter asks, ‘Who’s my Daddy’ and consults their birth certificate, tough luck. You will never know.
Gays and lesbians are never ‘one flesh’
Normally in the Bible, conception occurs not between a man and his wife’s maid servant, Abraham and Jacob notwithstanding, but between husband and wife, as with the first family recorded here: Gen 4:1 And Adam knew Eve his wife; and she conceived,
The Prophet Malachi (Mal 2:15) tells us bringing up children is a big part of what marriage is for.
The Lord Jesus said, as recorded in the Gospel of Mark: Mark 10:6 From the beginning of creation God made them male and female. 7 For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and cleave to his wife; 8 And they twain shall be one flesh: …
Megan and Whitney have reminded us that a ‘one flesh’ union is something a pair of lesbians can never achieve. Praise the Lord for that. But having explained the facts of life to the girls, here is another secret. The inequality between lesbians and proper couples, about which they complain, is God-given.
Why are taxpayers financing them?
By the grace of God it needs an egg from a woman and sperm from a man to make a baby. All either of them had to do was find a man and get married. IVF given to them by the NHS is a total waste of taxpayers’ money. Why exactly are the rest of us being forced into being financial partners in a fraud and a fancy? Why are we financing surgical intervention to satisfy an aesthetic conceit, or a social influencers’ fashion accessory?
Any government or NHS trust not shorn of all wisdom would tell them: ‘You want a baby? Great! Get married, proper married, not ‘gay-married’, and trust the Lord.
But that demands those who rule us be God-fearing and humble: Prov 15:33 The fear of the LORD is the instruction of wisdom; and before honour is humility.
Prayer and Action
The Bible tells us to pray for our leaders: 1Tim 2:1 I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men; 2 For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty. 3 For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour; 4 Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.
Let us not forget, it is not ‘loving’ to go along with what everyone demands. Sometimes, the cause of righteousness, indeed of our love for God and our neighbour, made in his image, demands we stand up and say ‘Stop!’
So pray that IVF for gays and lesbians fully able to conceive naturally is brought to an end. At the very least, may the public stop paying for it.

A Christian councillor who was suspended for tweeting that pride is not a virtue but a sin has been reinstated by a local Conservative group after having been suspended since July.
King Lawal, a Northamptonshire councillor, was being investigated by the Conservative Party for expressing his religious beliefs on social media. According to Mr Lawal, six other organisations cancelled him.
Responding to images of pride parades organised by LGBT groups at the end of last month, he wrote: ‘When did Pride become a thing to celebrate? Because of Pride, Satan fell as an arch Angel. Pride is not a virtue but a Sin. Those who have Pride should Repent of their sins and return to Jesus Christ. He can save you. #PrideMonth #Pride23 #PrideParade.’
Speaking on GBNews, Cllr Lawal said: ‘My Tweet was purely on Biblical truths, to express my Christian views on sin, and nothing more.’
‘The morning before the Tweet, I saw naked men shaking their bottoms around children watching. It disgusts me and brought out the righteous anger within me.’
The Bible says, Prov 16:18 Pride goeth before destruction, and an haughty spirit before a fall.
In a sudden turn of events, King Lawal has been stripped of his positions in various organisations and roles where he had been performing exceptionally. According to him, he received an email from the leader of North Northamptonshire Unitary Council, informing him of his suspension for a duration of 21 days, pending an investigation.
He faced dismissal as a trustee of Groundwork Northampton, suspension as an Academy Council member for Weavers Academy, removal as a Governor of Northampton Healthcare Foundation Trust, and a ban from holding a joint Police and Council surgery in the local library.
Again, forced to resign
There has been a concerning trend of pressuring individuals to resign based on their expression of religious beliefs. In Councillor Lawal’s situation, he stated that he was compelled to resign from his position in a nursing and care business. This occurred after he received an ultimatum from another local authority, claiming that his stance, as represented in a Tweet, was unattainable.
In June 2023, a senior British Army officer said he was forced to quit after being criticised for repeating that “men cannot be women”.
A Facebook post Colonel Kelvin Wright shared without any additional comment stated: ‘If women cannot stand in a public place and say, ‘men cannot be women’, then we do not have women’s rights at all.’
A Christian man also lost his job after his employer discovered his previous legal victory affirming his freedom of speech.
Felix Ngole faced expulsion from a social worker training course at Sheffield University. This came about because he had shared a Facebook post that cited Bible passages discussing the subject of same-sex marriage.
Our Lord said, John 8:32 And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.

A girl referred to the controversial Tavistock transgender clinic when she was 15 is the latest to express feeling like a “mutilated experiment gone wrong,” following the double mastectomy she underwent to remove her healthy breasts.

According to the Telegraph, Jasmine decided to ‘identify’ as a boy. She has since returned to seeing herself, correctly, as female. She now considers her original decision was a mistake made as a child but she adds “part of the onus is on the professionals that treated me”.
Jasmine said health professionals saw her at the clinic just three times. From the age of 17, Tavistock’s Gender Identity Development Service (GIDS) patients were transferred to adult services where they could then undergo the mutilatory ‘gender reassignment surgery’.
At her second 45-minute appointment at the adult clinic, she said she was referred to be prescribed cross-sex hormones and put on the waiting list for “top surgery”, a mastectomy. She now says this did not “help” or “fix” her but “made things a lot worse”.
Chloe Cole tells the US Congress of the ‘lifelong, irreversible harm’ she suffered at the hands of ‘gender-affirming’ rouge surgeons.
In the United States, a US House of Congress Judiciary Subcommittee heard similar harrowing evidence from Chloe Cole. Chloe testified before the House on 27th July 2023. She too had her healthy breasts removed after charlatan doctors asked her parents if they would prefer a live son to a dead daughter. Chloe says she was never suicidal. What was done to her, as to Jasmine, was barbaric. VIDEO HERE
At the hearing, Rep. Harriet Hageman (R-Wyo.) insisted that there is no such thing as a ‘successful sex-change operation’. The hearing was called to discuss “gender-affirming care” for children, which is gender activists’ language for the unethical, ungodly transition pathway. VIDEO HERE
Chloe Cole pleaded with those present at the hearing: “Please let me be your final warning.”
It is becoming clearer by the day (and see the scriptural witness below) that the doctors and surgeons involved in such an abuse of medicine should be struck off and such practices made illegal. In years to come people will look back at this evil not just as rebellion from the Almighty, but as one of the greatest medical scandals of our time, a point well made in the Telegraph on 4th August 2023 by Camilla Tominey.
Tavistock gender clinic services halted
On 28th July 2022, the NHS ordered the closure of the Central Transgender clinic by spring 2023. This follows a damning report published as part of an independent review by Dr Hilary Cass, a consultant paediatrician and former president of the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health.

Dr Cass concluded that the NHS’s clinic for transgender children was “not safe” and that there needed to be a “fundamentally different” service.
The (GIDS) is due to close in 2024, a year later than first planned. Two regional hubs will replace it. Our concern is they may employ the same people and adopt the same ethos until the Government steps in to ban these medical and surgical procedures entirely.
The demand for Tavistock services and children seeking help increased exponentially in the decade to 2020 but, after the Cass review was highly critical of referrals for the prescribing of puberty blockers and the clinic’s waiting times, the service was ordered to close. Activists claim thousands of children are now stuck in ‘medical limbo’, but they may just avoid the terrible consequences of the ‘GIDS pathway’.
Risks of Puberty Blockers
The adverse effects of administering puberty blockers to children or facilitating gender changes cannot be overstated. In the past, deaths resulting from “vaginoplasty” surgery have been recorded along with multiple regrets related to the use of “puberty blockers” in the name of treating “gender dysphoria” .
Even the NHS, on its website, admits that there are effects of hormone blockers which include suppression of body features. It is worth noting that trans-activist ‘charity’ Mermaids wrongly claim there are no long-term effects.

Meanwhile, In our previous article, we reported that the Tavistock Clinic’s Gender Identity Development Service (GIDS) has been administering puberty blockers to children as the treatment for “gender dysphoria” since 2011. These also ruined the life of Keira Bell.

Keira’s needs should have been addressed at a psychological, emotional and dare we say a spiritual level. She too had her perfectly healthy breasts removed and suffers from a deepened voice as a result of the hormones inflicted on her. Her experience, like that of Jasmine, highlight the perils of the ‘medical transition’ which follows the ‘social transitioning’ in which adolescent girls start using male pronouns and demand to be called by boys’ names.
The revelations shared by Jasmine, Keira Bell, and concerned parents are concrete evidence that children should receive genuine care instead of being encouraged towards any form of injections or surgeries. We need to pray for the UK governments to ban these satanic pathways which are destroying lives.
The Biblical witness
These girls lives have been destroyed. The Lord Jesus said: John 10:10 The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.
Plainly these girls, and boys who have endured similar treatment, have been lied to. Again the Lord Jesus said, and this must apply to the trans activists and doctors: John 8:44 Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.
How they need to hear the truth, that they were created bodily just fine and that it is sin which corrupts and distorts the soul, not puberty: John 8:32 And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.
We see that Almighty God has made each of us in his image with XY or XX genetics from the beginning of creation: Gen 1:27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.
How dare anyone say that God had it wrong and that he or she knows better: Isa 45:9 Woe unto him that striveth with his Maker! Let the potsherd strive with the potsherds of the earth. Shall the clay say to him that fashioneth it, What makest thou? or thy work, He hath no hands? 10 Woe unto him that saith unto his father, What begettest thou? or to the woman, What hast thou brought forth?
It follows that the manufacturers, pharmacists, doctors and surgeons making money out of this abomination are charlatans, prescribing treatments that are worse than worthless: Matthew 9:12 But when Jesus heard that, he said unto them, They that be whole need not a physician, but they that are sick.

Miriam Cates MP has proposed a bill to let parents see RSE materials.

A Tory MP has proposed a new law that would oblige schools and third-party sex educators to disclose sex education lesson plans and materials to parents.
Mrs Cates has warned that sex education lessons have become a “wild west”. She is proposing the legislation to create a legal duty for English schools to share materials used in relationships and sex education lessons with parents.
The legislation would also prevent schools from using unpublished materials if they are produced by a third-party provider.
It comes after a 47-year-old mum, Clare Page, lost a legal battle to see the sex education lesson plan used at her daughter’s school, even though the Education Secretary wrote to all schools in England telling them to disclose such lessons. Judge Sophie Buckley acknowledged Gillian Keegan’s letter only to ignore it. She ruled that the commercial interests of the third-party sex education provider outweighed the public interest in forcing the school to release the lesson plan under freedom of information laws.
Hence Miriam Cates’ Bill. However, firstly, without Government time the Bill stands no chance of becoming law. Its Second Reading might not even happen this year. Secondly, the Bill defines ‘publish’ as merely available to ministers and the media for a fee. True transparency demands all sex education material be openly and freely published to all. What do the sex educators have to hide? As our Lord said:
John 3:20 For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved.
Trans Guidance ‘political disaster’

In a separate development, the Telegraph reports that a long-awaited draft government guidance on whether children can ‘self identify’ as the opposite sex at school has been denounced as a ‘political disaster’.
Education Secretary Gillian Keegan’s draft guidance would allow children to adopt false pronouns if their parents agree. That would not only be weak, be damaging to children, put pressure on parents to ‘conform’ to trans ideology, and be an abrogation of the duty of care all adults should have for children, but fly in the face of scripture. The Bible says,
Gen 1:27 And God created Adam in his image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them.
Isa 29:16 Surely your turning of things upside down shall be esteemed as the potter’s clay: for shall the work say of him that made it, He made me not? or shall the thing framed say of him that framed it, He had no understanding?
A spokesperson for the Prime Minister said: ‘Children should not be influenced by the personal views of teachers when discussing transgender issues.’
Just to be clear, “transgenderism” has no place in children’s education . There should be no discussion of “transgenderism” in schools at all.
We may be certain trans activists will respond to Ms Keegan’s forthcoming consultation to argue that it is up to children themselves whether they want to tell their parents about embarking on a self-destructive path.
Clearly, it is the ideology driving them. They care nothing for the children involved. The Bible says: Proverbs 12:10 A righteous man regardeth the life of his beast: but the tender mercies of the wicked are cruel.
College investigated for Student identifying as cat
A school identified as Rye College is being investigated by the Department for Education (DfE) after a teacher called a pupil’s views despicable during a row over another allegedly identifying as a cat.
According the Telegraph, children at the school in East Sussex were reprimanded last week for refusing to accept their classmate’s decision to self-identify as a cat.

The children were told they would be reported to a senior leader after their teacher said they had “really upset” the fellow pupil by telling her: “You’re a girl.”
In the meantime, Christian Voice contacted a number of unrelated Schools all in England and Wales for a comment on the subject, but they are yet to respond.
It has emerged that students in British schools are now allowed to identify as dinosaurs, horses, or even a moon. However, teachers have been warned by the government to treat these incidents as safeguarding issues. However, the warnings lack teeth.
Downing Street has said that head teachers should intervene to stop children identifying as moons, cats, or other “neo-genders”. But yet again, this is not a statutory requirement, merely advice and ‘guidance’.

Prime Minister Rishi Sunak says he is deeply concerned about the content of sex education being taught to some pupils. He emphasised: ‘it is vital the right safeguards are in place.’

In March 2023, Mr Sunak pledged to put forward a review of statutory guidance on Relationships and Sex Education (RSE), in light of the “safeguarding scandal” of inappropriate materials being used in schools.
We acknowledge the Prime Minister’s declared effort to prioritise these safeguarding issues and restore sanity. However, we must say that it is not enough and shows the government have lost control of education and the whole LGBT debate.
Ministers and teachers are adults and should prevent unbiblical matters like “gender identity”, “gender reassignment”, “same-sex relationships” from intruding into children’s minds if they are to grow up as well-balanced individuals and if society itself is not to destroy itself.
The Bible says, 1Cor 13:11 When I was a child, I spoke as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child; but when I became a man, I put away childish things.
Deut 6:6-7; Prov 16:12, 25:5, 29:14; Ezek 16:49-50; Matthew 18:1-10; Ephesians 6:4; 1 John 3: 7-8. We thank God for this step by Mr Sunak and his ministers and MPs, but must continue to pray without ceasing for our leaders to repent for God’s institution of the family to be honoured and for our children to be protected. Pray also for Clare Page and her family to be emboldened and strengthened.

A father is taking legal action against the national health service(NHS) to stop surgeons from performing sex-change surgery on his “vulnerable” autistic son.
According to the Telegraph, the parent says that both Tavistock and NHS England’s “adult gender identity services” failed to explore issues surrounding his son’s autism, anxiety, and mental health and instead rushed his child down a path of “experimental treatment”.

On Saturday, June 10th, 2023, a 21-year-old boy with special needs, who requires professional care, is sadly being reduced to a lab rat scheduled to undergo surgery. The procedure is a “vaginoplasty” surgery which involves removing male genitalia and creating female parts.
‘We were just devastated when we heard he was getting surgery,’ his father said. He believes those with autism and developmental delays should not be able to consent to “surgery until at least 25”.
Meanwhile, we say there should be no mutilation, as it is an unnecessary, ungodly, and pure perversion of medicine. Even Scottish Autism said: ‘Autistic individuals are likely to have a different way of processing information. They have difficulty understanding and responding to the perspective of others.’
As the Bible says, Job 13:4 But ye are forgers of lies, ye are all physicians of no value.
According to the father of the autistic boy, ‘puberty blockers and cross-sex hormones administered by Tavistock actually worsened his son’s mental health’.
Meanwhile, when the boy was 13, he began attending Tavistock child gender clinic in London and was prescribed puberty-blocking drugs against his parents’ wishes at 16.
‘They were continually affirming him. I don’t think the adult services have taken into account his autism and fragile mental health.
‘He had a lot of self-harm and at least one suicide attempt that we know of,’ the father said.
Another young autistic man is himself suing the NHS over ‘gender surgery’ which should never have been done.
Transgender clinic shut down by NHS

The NHS ordered the closure of the Central Transgender clinic by spring 2023, based on an interim report by Dr. Hilary Cass, a former president at the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health, on 28th July 2022
According to the BBC, the closure includes Tavistock and Portman NHS Foundation Trust. The announcement was made in response to multiple allegations by parents and whistleblowers.
Their concerns were based on the clinic’s capacity, competence, and long-term negative effects of treatment on teenagers.
In several European countries, doctors moved to ban the use of puberty lockers for children and adolescents. According to the Daily Mail, 13 adolescents who were administered puberty blockers appeared to have adverse reactions in Sweden.
Moreover, the gender clinic in the UK is facing mass legal action from children who allege they were pressured into taking life-altering puberty blockers. The gender identity development service (GIDS) at the Tavistock and Portman NHS Trust has been accused by families of multiple failures in its duty of care.
Vaginoplasty surgery NOT safe
In September 2021, Tavistock and Portman NHS Foundation Trust were taken to court by Keira Bell, a 24-year-old female who began taking “puberty blockers” when she was 16 before “de-transitioning”.

Keira Bell regretted the entire transition process of being injected with “puberty blockers”, and says the clinic did not give her the right care.
Ms. Bell’s experience highlighted the perils of “medical transition”.
Moreso, A 16-year-old boy who had “vaginoplasty” surgery in a vain attempt to “change his gender” died from an infection. His death resulted from hormone blockers administered by Dutch researchers.
Moreso, our research online show that sex mutilation does not adequately address the psychosocial difficulties faced by people who identify as transgender. Even when the procedures are successful technically and cosmetically, and in cultures that are relatively “trans-friendly,” ‘transitioners’ still face poor outcomes.
According to Dr. Paul McHugh, a professor of psychiatry at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine: ‘Transgendered’ men do not become women, nor do ‘transgendered’ women become men.’

It is no longer news that parents have a crucial role to play in the upbringing of their children. However, the statement must not become cliche.
The Bible says Lo, children are an heritage of the LORD: and the fruit of the womb is his reward.
The father of the aforementioned 21-year-old boy has spoken up for his son. He has done this by taking legal action against this scandalous mutilation, alongside Ritchie Herron, an autistic “detransitioner” who says that gender reassignment surgery has ruined his body forever.
They accuse NHS England of failing to provide appropriate treatment for adults with “gender dysphoria” and to put in safeguards for the disproportionate number of people who believe they are “trans” and are also on the autism spectrum.
Now more than ever, we must put them in our prayers and believe in God for a victory.

Pray for the father to have victory in the court and the mutilation not to go ahead on Saturday. Pray for parents dealing with children with special needs. Pray for the wisdom of God on parents dealing with teenagers.

A Christian teacher has been stopped indefinitely from teaching in any sixth-form college or children’s home in England for “misgendering” a pupil.
Joshua Sutcliffe, 33, was banned from the teaching profession for addressing a girl as a girl.
Truth is fallen
According to the Telegraph, the Teaching Regulation Authority (TRA) ruled that Mr Sutcliffe had failed to treat a pupil with “dignity and respect”. They also claim he failed to protect the pupil’s well-being because he did not use the “preferred pronouns” of a girl who “identified as a boy”.
Apart from the allegations of “misgendering a pupil”, Mr Sutcliffe was also found in the wrong for expressing views against gay marriage when questioned by a pupil. He was accused of failing to “consider the potential impact” on his pupils, particularly those who may be practising same-sex relationships. We have stated the Biblical position on sodomy many times, not least here:
John 8:32 And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.
The prophets even condemn societies like ours:
Isaiah 59:14 And judgment is turned away backward, and justice standeth afar off: for truth is fallen in the street, and equity cannot enter.
Hosea 4:2 By swearing, and lying, and killing, and stealing, and committing adultery, they break out, and blood toucheth blood.
Given the reasons for this ban, it is safe to report the 33-year-old was stripped of his license because he spoke against sodomy, and used the correct pronouns to address a pupil. The former teacher can apply for the ban to be removed in 2025.
Mr Sutcliffe, a former maths teacher at the Cherwell School, a state secondary in Oxford, admitted to not using the pupil’s preferred pronouns and said he was “devastated” by the ruling, but owes no apology.
He plans to appeal and is being supported by the Christian Legal Centre.
‘I believe affirming children in gender confusion in the classroom is psychologically damaging for them. I refuse to go against my conscience and cause a child harm and refuse to apologise for that,’ he told the Telegraph.
Standards ‘broken’
The panel claimed the teacher fell significantly short of the standard expected of a teacher.
Meanwhile, the teaching guide says: “Teachers make the ‘education’ of their pupils their ‘first concern’, and are accountable for achieving the highest standards in work and conduct.
“Teachers act with ‘honesty and integrity’; have strong subject knowledge, keep their knowledge and skills as teachers up-to-date and are self-critical; forge positive professional relationships; and work with parents in the best interests of their pupils”.
How is it possible in that light that putting education first, and acting with honesty and integrity has become a crime? Read our related stories on the transgenderism scandal:
The ruling comes as schools wait for detailed government guidance for schools on how to respond to transgender pupils. The guidance is due to be published in summer 2023.
A Whitehall source told the Telegraph that the guidance will reflect the interim findings of the Cass review, an NHS-commissioned report by pediatrician Dr Hilary Cass.
She warned that allowing children to “socially transition” to their preferred gender was “not a neutral act” and could have a “significant” impact on their “psychological functioning”.
More Risks
In our previous articles , we made clear the risks of gender alteration, be it male or female.
Although critics claim that gender reassignment procedures can alleviate the distress and psychological pain they say young people with gender dysphoria experience, vaginoplasty surgery carries risks and potential complications on top of the ill-effects of hormonal medicines.
These risks include bleeding, infection, scarring, loss of sensation, complications related to anesthesia, or even death, as with the aforementioned 16-year-old.
Recovery time can also be lengthy, and follow-up care is often required to monitor healing and address any issues that may arise. The Lord Jesus said medicine is for people who are ill:

Education NOT indoctrination

In a separate case, a court has ruled against Christian parents who took a London school to court after it prevented pupils, including her 4-year-old son, from opting out of a school ‘gay pride’ event.
Ms Izzy Montague filed a complaint after she was told her son could not opt out of an LGBTQ event staged at Heavers Farm School despite the family’s Christian beliefs.
The parents, Izzy and Shane Montague are to appeal their case after the Central London County Court dismissed their claim against their child’s former school, Heavers Farm, for attempting to force him to participate in an “LGBT-themed Pride Parade”.
Truth is indeed fallen and equity cannot enter when the UK establishment passes such perverse rulings. They can run on for a long time, but in the end, God will not be mocked:
Eccl 5:8 If thou seest the oppression of the poor, and violent perverting of judgment and justice in a province, marvel not at the matter: for he that is higher than the highest regardeth; and there be higher than they.

The World Health Organisation (WHO) is under pressure to withdraw guidance for schools, recommending that children aged four and under be taught about “enjoyment and pleasure when touching one’s own body, early childhood masturbation”.
The organisation recommends that toddlers have “the right to ask questions about sexuality” and “the right to explore gender identities”. (Pictured right)
These topics are described by WHO as the “minimal standards that need to be covered by sexuality education”.
The World Health Assembly, with three delegates from each of the WHO’s 194 member states, is meeting in Geneva as we write. The delegates typically include a health minister, a health official, and your nation’s UN ambassador:
A Government spokesperson for the Department of Education told Christian Voice: “The UK Government does not recognise this WHO guidance and we don’t agree with its recommendations. We have not distributed or promoted it to schools.
“We offer our own guidance to help schools to teach children and young people about relationships and health. This is for primary school aged children and above.”
Christian Voice also contacted campaign groups who claim to represent children’s rights. Most declined to comment on this major issue involving the safety of children.
A spokesperson for Children’s Rights Alliance for England (CRAE) said: ‘The organisation is a very small team, and we haven’t looked at the WHO’s guidance on this. We also don’t do work surrounding this issue, so we are not able to comment on it’.
Barnados told us: ‘Unfortunately, we’re unable to help on this occasion’. Meanwhile, Save the Children Fund said: ‘We don’t have anything to add to this story, so we cannot help on this occasion’.
‘Children England’ are yet to get back to us. The Children’s Commissioner for England is yet to respond to our request for comment.
The UK Prime Minister reacts
The Telegraph reported that Mr Rishi Sunak is committed to bringing forward a review of statutory guidance on Relationships and Sex Education (RSE), in light of the “safeguarding scandal” of inappropriate materials being used in schools.
The Prime Minister made the pledge in the House of Commons in response to a question from Miriam Cates, MP for Penistone and Stocksbridge. Ms Cates also organised a letter to Mr Sunak from fellow Tory MPs.
She told Mr Sunak that children are being “subjected to lessons that are age-inappropriate, extreme, sexualising and inaccurate, often using resources from unregulated organisations that are actively campaigning to undermine parents. This is not a victory for equality, it is a catastrophe for childhood.”

MPs show concern
The Former Home Secretary Priti Patel MP, said: “It’s shocking to see what’s being taught to some children in our schools and concerning that parents are being ignored”.
Further, former Education Minister Brendan Clarke-Smith, who also signed the letter from Miriam Cates asking the Prime Minister to review sex education for children, warned: “To present contentious issues to young minds as facts is totally wrong”.
MP for Mansfield, Ben Bradley, stated, “I don’t think people have any real sense of what some children are being taught in their schools. I’ve spoken to many parents who have been horrified by some of the content”.
The Lord Jesus said in Matthew 18; 6 But whoso shall offend one of these little ones which believe in me, it were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and that he were drowned in the depth of the sea.
No to sexualisation of children
Frank Furedi, executive director of the think-tank, Mathias Corvinus Collegium (MCC) said: “The exploitation of young people for political ends is already causing serious damage. The promoters of sexuality education are disorienting and disturbing kids.
“They are plunging them into a crisis of identity from their very earliest years onwards”.
On Spiked-online, Professor Furedi went further: ‘The purpose of the WHO guidance, which has been eagerly taken up by educational and health authorities over the past 10 or so years, is not education – it is indoctrination. This is clear from the WHO’s emphasis on ‘sexuality education’, rather than what used to be known as ‘sex education’. There is an important difference between these two terms. Whereas sex education involves teaching children about sex and human reproduction, ‘sexuality education’ focusses on gender and sexual identity. As part of ‘sexuality education’, children are not being taught the facts of life. They’re being taught a highly contested ideology.’
He added that adult society needs to fight back against this silent campaign of indoctrination.
Welsh Government followed WHO
Incredibly, the Welsh Government based its sex education policy on exactly the WHO terminology Prof Furedi condemned. Its draft Relationships and Sexuality Education Guidance published in 2019 said: ‘The change in name to Relationships and Sexuality Education reflects the internationally recognised World Health Organisation (WHO) standards for sexuality education.’
Mercifully, the Wales published guidance (2021) avoids the worst excesses of the WHO guidance. However, it still says: ‘Across the learning strands, curriculum content in RSE must be inclusive and reflect diversity. It must include learning that develops learners’ awareness and understanding of different identities, views and values and a diversity of relationships, gender and sexuality, including LGBTQ+ lives. ‘ It is, in other words, woke propaganda. And indeed, the word ‘sexuality’ occurs 16 tines, ‘gender’ 17. From age 11, children should have ‘An ability to advocate for and advance the rights of all and understand and respect all people in relation to sex, gender and sexuality.
Earlier this month, Laura Anne Jones, Conservative shadow minister for education in Wales’ regional government, challenged the WHO to take down its guidelines for sex education in Europe.

In February 2023, the General Synod of the Church of England followed the Church in Wales down the path of allowing the ‘blessing’ of same-sex couples in its churches and cathedrals.
The decisions, particularly that of the Church of England, the ‘mother church’ of the Anglican Communion, have thrown Anglicanism into turmoil.
The churches of the Global South Fellowship of Anglicans (GSFA) and the Global Anglican Future Conference, representing some 85% of the world’s Anglicans, consider the CofE and the CiW have left the Christian faith.
GAFCON’s Archbishop Foley wrote in September 2022 to CofE Archbishop Justin Welby. In his letter he said: ‘It is those who depart from the established teaching of the Church who are causing the division (Epistle of Jude 18, 19). I implore you to call us all to repentance and to return to the Apostles’ Teaching of the Bible.’
As we are here to proclaim Biblical truth, let us begin by observing that homosexual relationships are condemned as decadent in Scripture:
Rom 1:26 For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature:
Of course proponents of the measure try to explain words like that away. But we have taken those arguments and the rest of ‘gay theology’ apart already:
Faithful members of both churches are now in turmoil. They are gathering to support each other. But are they seeking the Lord for something they can do? Or are they like the divisions of Reuben, contrasted here by Deborah with the men prepared to stand up and fight:
Jdg 5:15 And the princes of Issachar were with Deborah; even Issachar, and also Barak: he was sent on foot into the valley. For the divisions of Reuben there were great thoughts of heart. 16 Why abodest thou among the sheepfolds, to hear the bleatings of the flocks? For the divisions of Reuben, great searchings of heart.
Scripture shows God loves men, and women, of action. The Lord receives many prayers asking him to do something. Of course it is natural to pray along with the psalmist:
Psalm 119:126 It is time for thee, LORD, to work: for they have made void thy law.
But it remains that the Lord does not receive quite as many prayers asking him what we can do. That means that when we ask the Lord what we can do, he is quick to answer. The principle of ‘Lord, what can I do?’ may be applied almost anywhere. We may even become like these men – it’s Issachar again – from king David’s army:
1Chron 12:32 And of the children of Issachar, which were men that had understanding of the times, to know what Israel ought to do;
The Synod Decisions
The account of the decision taken by the Church of England in February 2023 is HERE.
The Church in Wales made its decision to introduce blessings for same-sex unions in July 2022. The decision was rubber-stamped by a vote in the Synod that September. See HERE.
A ‘Liturgy for the Blessing of a Same-sex Civil Marriage or Civil Partnership’ was actually put in place a year or two earlier: See HERE.
A liturgy of pious denial
The liturgy itself is a triumph of pious denial over truth and experience. It contains sentiments like this:
‘Beloved in Christ, we are gathered here today in the presence of God to celebrate N. and N.’s love for each other, to support them in life’s journey and to pray for God’s blessing on their Marriage / Civil Partnership as together they live a life of faithful love and commitment.’
A couple of lesbians or two gays may well live together and look after each other, but at a sexual level, especially for the men, the evidence shows ‘faithful love and commitment’ is a chimera. After all, the modern homosexual movement began by rejecting the model of monogamous marriage.
Furthermore, research shows promiscuity is built in to homosexuality. Thousands of sexual partners are not unknown in the network. ‘Flings’ outside living-together relationships are routine. The promiscuity is inherent and has a psychological or emotional root. In his book ‘Everything You Always Wanted to Know About Sex* (*But Were Afraid to Ask)’ psychologist Dr David Reuben said of homosexuals: ‘They are trying to solve the puzzle with only half the pieces.’
Where is the sexual activity?
There is no mention of sexual activity in the ‘gay-blessing’ liturgy at all. The conventional marriage service, on the other hand, is full of it. Even the modern service says things like this:
‘The gift of marriage brings husband and wife together in the delight and tenderness of sexual union and joyful commitment to the end of their lives. It is given as the foundation of family life in which children are [born and] nurtured.’
The couple promise sexual fidelity as the minister asks: ‘forsaking all others, be faithful to her/him as long as you both shall live?’ They consent to sexual intimacy: ‘With my body I honour you, all that I am I give to you.’ There is talk of children being conceived, born and raised.
There is none of that in the ‘gay blessings’. Even the promise of living ‘a life of faithful love and commitment’ omits the ‘sexual union’ bit and the ‘forsaking all others’. Perhaps these are completely platonic relationships being blessed. Or perhaps the ‘liturgy’ is simply recognising that sexual fidelity has no relevance to homosexual relationships. Or perhaps raising the matter of homosexual activities would be embarrassing and lead to unwanted prurience. Who knows what was in the mind of those who framed the gay blessing liturgy?
Reactions
The BBC reported on the Wales vote thus: ‘Same-sex couples can now have their marriage blessed by the Church in Wales after a vote was held. However, the church will still not marry same-sex couples.
‘Former Dean of St Albans, the Very Reverend Jeffrey John, supported the change but described it as a “halfway house” that did not go far enough.
‘The Evangelical Fellowship in the Church in Wales opposed the move, saying it did not uphold the “standard of Christian marriage between one man and one woman”. But Wales’ bishops said it was a step on the way towards repentance of a history which has “demonised and persecuted gay and lesbian people”.’
A direction of travel?
You may well ask: ‘the Church in Wales or of England will still not marry same-sex couples’, but for how long? Is there not a trajectory, a direction of travel, here?
Let us remember, the Church of Scotland voted at its 2022 General Assembly to allow ministers and deacons to ‘gay-marry’ same-sex couples if they choose. The Scottish Episcopal Church has been gay-marrying since 2017. If Christians in the Anglican denominations of Wales and England quietly accept the new rule, why should their churches not go the way of Scotland, which brought in ‘gay-marriage’ despite the clear ruling of the Lord Jesus, here recorded by Matthew (cf Mark 10:6-8)?
Matt 19:4 And he answered and said unto them, Have ye not read, that he which made them at the beginning made them male and female, 5 And said, For this cause shall a man leave father and mother, and shall cleave to his wife: and they twain shall be one flesh?
Why an Experimental Period?
The Church in Wales says: ‘The service will be used experimentally for five years and it will be up to individual clergy to decide whether or not they wish to lead it.’ In the Church of England it is a five-year ‘evaluation’ period.
Why are they having a five-year trial period? What is it for? It may be the wording was inserted to allow the measure more easily to pass. Maybe proponents of the measure want to learn from their experience and tinker with the order of service. They could use the period to document reactions from ‘the gays’ along the lines of those already voiced by Jeffrey John. As the end of the five years approaches, they will no doubt speak of a demand for full gay marriage.
But perhaps there is another reason. It is not exclusive. It does not negate the other reasons. But it is this:
I suggest the measure’s proponents want to see if the five year period will pass off without incident. Put bluntly, they want to see if they can get away with it.
During the experimental or evaluation period the proponents will be fully prepared for individual ministers and lay people to protest to their bishops. They will expect clergy to preach against it. They will foresee statements from evangelical fellowships. They won’t mind letters to periodicals. They will regard papers decrying it with equanimity, responding to them or ignoring them as they wish.
What They Do Not Want
The one thing they will not want is public protests. They will not be at all happy with action against the measure on the streets or in their churches. What about:
1 Prayer walks around churches or cathedrals which accept the trial. Perhaps we walk around them seven times and blow a shofar. We do not expect the building itself to tumble, but we do expect an impact on the spiritual forces behind the measure: Josh 6:15 And it came to pass on the seventh day, that they rose early about the dawning of the day, and compassed the city after the same manner seven times:
2 Public protests in the street outside a church conducting a ‘gay-blessing’ service. Perhaps leaflets are given to those going in. Perhaps banners or placards are raised in the name of the Lord with relevant scripture verses: Psalm 20:5 We will rejoice in thy salvation, and in the name of our God we will set up our banners: the LORD fulfil all thy petitions.
3 A protest inside a church or cathedral conducting such a service, speaking truth to power: Psalm 40:9 I have preached righteousness in the great congregation: lo, I have not refrained my lips, O LORD, thou knowest.
4 A witness outside the venue of the Synod from now on: Isa 58:1 Cry aloud, spare not, lift up thy voice like a trumpet, and shew my people their transgression, and the house of Jacob their sins.
5 A presence at specific ‘gay’ events or meetings: 1Sam 14:6 And Jonathan said to the young man that bare his armour, Come, and let us go over unto the garrison of these uncircumcised: it may be that the LORD will work for us: for there is no restraint to the LORD to save by many or by few.
The two churches need leaders
In practice, the Lord must raise up someone in leadership in respectively the Church in Wales and the Church of England to lead this project. We must pray someone is found who cares enough about the heritage of each province to stand up and lead. Whoever it is will need to:
(a) Enlist those who will report back with intelligence of the opposition’s movements and developments such as proposed services or gatherings,
(b) Encourage those prepared to stand outside a place of worship in protest, take part in a prayer walk, stand up in a place of worship to voice objections or even pitch up and minister the Gospel to the lost at the next meeting of a Diocese ‘LGBT+ Chaplaincy’.
Do What They Like Least
It is a maxim in sport that you do whatever the opposition would like least. In cricket, if a batsman favours spin, bring a fast bowler into the attack. If he likes the short ball, bowl it fuller. From this, we ask what our opposition are comfortable with, and what they would least like. Then we do the latter.
If what we are doing is outside their experience, all the better. In 2008, South Wales Echo published a blasphemous article. A small group of Christian Voice supporters walked into their reception area, which was combined open-plan with their whole ground-floor office. We prayed and sang hymns. We knew what we doing. We were holding a church service, albeit in unusual surroundings.
The newspaper folk, on the other hand, did not know what was going on. One could say they were impacted by the fear of God. Down came the directors and invited us into a meeting in the boardroom. They listened to us respectfully and published an apology in the very next issue. Without the impromptu ‘service’ that would never have happened.
What Do We Want to Achieve?
We should also ask ourselves in any given situation what we want to achieve. We then use all the godly means we know to achieve it.
Eccl 9:10 Whatsoever thy hand findeth to do, do it with thy might; for there is no work, nor device, nor knowledge, nor wisdom, in the grave, whither thou goest.
If what we want to achieve is to be considered nice, reasonable ‘Christian’ people, we can achieve that by continuing with polite discourse, patiently explaining the issues. We shall achieve our aim. We shall also see setback after setback.
If however we want to achieve an end to services of blessing of gay unions and a reversal of the current trend towards full acceptance of homosexuality, perhaps with recognition of transgenderism next on the list, we shall do something different. We shall take action of a kind they will not like.
Our action will lead to reaction from the opposition. Sometimes their reaction may prove to be of even greater value to the Kingdom of God than our initial action.
Do the Little Things
The last words of Saint David, just before his death on 1st March 589 were ‘Be joyful, keep the faith, and do the little things that you have heard and seen me do.’ ‘Do the little things’. In Welsh: ‘Gwnewch y pethau bychain.’‘
When we do the little things which only we can do, we can leave the big stuff, the miraculous, the things only God can do, to him. The Lord is looking to see whether our prayer is ‘fervent’, whether it is serious. If it is, it will avail much:
Jas 5:16 Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.
In 2006 the blasphemous Jerry Springer the Opera went on tour. Archbishop Barry Morgan called for a Christian protest outside Cardiff’s Millennium Centre. The people came in their hundreds. The theatre-goers stayed away. God did that.
As the show continued on its cursed tour, some dear ladies in Edinburgh would not join a similar protest outside the King’s Theatre. They just wanted to pray. But although they could have prayed at home, they came down to the theatre and prayed in the cafe, in the midst, as we might say, of Satan’s stronghold at the time.
When the tour of the show was ‘ruined’, as its writer Stewart Lee put it, they were pleased to have played their part in his downfall.
It was only a little thing those ladies did, but by coming down to the theatre, they showed the Lord their prayer was serious enough for him to answer it in power.
Pray and Work
It has been said, ‘When we work we work. When we pray, God works.’ But the Biblical witness of Jehoshaphat (2Chron 20), Esther, even the early church, shows it is not an ‘either/or’. It is a ‘both/and.’
After their united prayer and fasting had unleashed the Spirit of the Lord on Jahaziel to show them what to do, all Judah had to do was go out armed, not fighting, but singing psalms. In response, God sowed confusion amongst their enemies.
All Esther had to was go in to the king while her people fasted and prayed in unity. In response, God kept the king up all night reading how her uncle Mordecai had saved his life.
All the early church had to do was send out the Twelve and the Seventy with the Gospel. It was God who opened doors, made divine appointments and paved the way. When we pray and work, God works miracles.
A Need for Action
The Biblical witness shows that God loves and uses men of action like Moses, David, Jonathan, Samuel and the Apostles. Even the Prophets, filled with the spirit, men whose currency was words, put actions with the prophetic.
If the faithful do nothing ‘physical’ the opposition will concluded they don’t matter and they don’t care and they will press on. A strategy of response is needed in a language those in power will dislike but understand.
Anyone spurred to action will need to cover it all in prayer and trust in the grace and wisdom of God. Reversing these developments is do-able. A church, even a nation, repenting is do-able for God. For both church and nation, if we continue doing what we have been doing, we delude ourselves if we think we shall see anything different from the opposition’s relentless Fabian march.

Sir Lewis Hamilton used the occasion of last weekend’s 2023 Miami Grand Prix to blunder into the Florida sex education debate. So let’s look at that debate, at Lewis’s descent into wokeness and how since he went on that path his racing career appears to have stalled. Watch our video (you are reading the transcript):
According to the BBC: ‘Florida governor Ron DeSantis is set to widen a law barring public schools from teaching about sexual orientation and gender identity to all grades.’
The law is officially titled the ‘Parental Rights in Education Act’. It was passed in 2022 and currently applies to public, or state, schools from kindergarten, only up to ‘third grade’, which is 8-9 year-olds.
Extension of the law
In April 2023, the Florida Board of Education approved an extension of the ban to all grades, primary and secondary.
Mr DeSantis and other Republicans who support the law, and the extension, say it shields children from inappropriate content that does not belong in schools. They argue that parents, not teachers, should be holding discussions on topics like sexual orientation and gender identity with their children. The Bible supports them. In the Old Testament, in the book of Deuteronomy, chapter six, the Lord tells his people this about his laws:
Deut 6:7 And thou shalt teach them diligently unto thy children, and shalt talk of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, and when thou liest down, and when thou risest up.
Bring up your children in the Lord
And of course the New Testament agrees. We read in the Gospel of Luke, chapter two and verse fifty-one that the Lord Jesus was subject to his mother and father, while the Apostle Paul wrote to the Ephesians also in chapter six:
Eph 6:4 And, ye fathers, provoke not your children to wrath: but bring them up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord.
Parents, the Bible tells us, are responsible for their children’s education, not teachers, not sex educators, not LGBTQ+, or whatever the latest version is, activists.
Florida Commissioner of Education Manny Diaz Jr said in a tweet: ‘Students should be spending their time in school learning core academic subjects, not being force-fed radical gender and sexual ideology.’
As expected, Democratic President Joe Biden has called the law ‘hateful.’ Gay and Trans activists in the State and indeed across the US are also furious.

Lewis Hamilton’s LGBT Rainbow Helmet
And into the shallow mud of opposition has now waded our own national treasure Sir Lewis Hamilton to campaign for homosexuals and trans activists against parents and decency.
‘It’s not good. At all,’ said our Lewis. ‘I stand by the LGBTQ community here and hope they continue to push back.’
Push back against parental rights and responsibilities, eh? Mr Hamilton said he would race in Miami with a rainbow flag in support of LGBTQ rights on his helmet.
‘It is no different to when we were in Saudi,’ the Mercedes driver added. ‘It is not the right direction and not the right message.’
Oh dear, Lewis, in two places in the book of Proverbs we read:
Prov 14:12 (c/f 16:25) There is a way that seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.
‘I am here and hoping that just by showing up with my helmet I will be continuing to support the LGBT community and showing I stand with them in solidarity. I hope they continue to fight against it,’ he went on
Oh, Lewis. ‘Showing up’ with his rainbow helmet. It was, no doubt, the least he could do. But seriously, with his words and his helmet Lewis is trying to change opinion. He is interfering in another nation’s internal affairs. just as we see Western governments and foundations and sportsmen like the gay Tom Daley doing all over the world. And of course there is a spiritual dimension to Lewis’s intervention, coming inevitably from his secularist worship of a false woke god. The Lord’s Prophet Jeremiah said:
Jer 23:26 How long shall this be in the heart of the prophets that prophesy lies? yea, they are prophets of the deceit of their own heart;
Sex Education is ‘Vital’
Sir Lewis went on: ‘My sympathy and thoughts are with the people here in Miami. It’s not them making the decisions, it’s the people in government and that’s the issue.’
Really? Only last year Ron DeSantis beat his Democratic challenger Charlie Crist by over 19 percentage points. The Florida Governor specifically campaigned on the culture war and against the ‘woke’ values of Sir Lewis Hamilton and his celebrity friends.
You know, we are constantly told by the education establishment here in the UK that sex education is always age-appropriate, that it is essential to help children understand the modern world and that parents have nothing to worry about.
But now Lewis has given the game away. Sex Education is actually designed to promote homosexuality and transgenderism to children. It is apparently an essential plank in the armoury of gay and trans activists. It is, in the words of our own Director of Ofsted Amanda Spielman, ‘vital’ for children to hear the gay and trans ideology in Relationships and Sex Education. ‘Vital’, that is, for the woke cause. And it seems it is ‘vital’ for them world-wide.
That explains Plan International and the ‘gender-queer’ Comprehensive Sexuality Education toolkit that that Western-funded NGO tried to sneak into Rwanda.
It explains concerned parents being excluded from school board meetings across the United States. But there is a judgment coming. The Bible says:
Eccl 5:8 If thou seest the oppression of the poor, and violent perverting of judgment and justice in a province, marvel not at the matter: for he that is higher than the highest regardeth; and there be higher than they.
Seven World Titles
Back in the previous decade, it seemed as if the Lewis Hamilton / Mercedes partnership was unstoppable in Formula One. He won his first world championship in 2008 with McLaren.
He joined Mercedes in 2013, winning his second championship the following year. He won again in 2015.
Lewis lost the 2016 title to his team-mate Nico Rosberg, but went on to win four in a row from 2017 to 2020. Seven world titles equalled the record of Michael Schumacher. In our house, we cheered and prayed for the fresh-faced boy from Stevenage all the way.
But something changed during 2020. On 25th May, George Floyd, a 46-year-old black man, was murdered while being arrested in Minneapolis, Minnesota, by Derek Chauvin, a 44-year-old US police officer. The fact that the policeman was white gave ammunition to a Marxist-feminist bunch called ‘Black Lives Matter’, led by three fiercely anti-family, anti-capitalist lesbians. I say, ‘anti-capitalist’ but they certainly prospered from the death of the Mr Floyd. Derek Chauvin has since been convicted.
Going ‘woke’
In the wake of the murder, Lewis demanded his Mercedes be painted black and he started doing the knee business to show his support for the wealthy anti-family Marxists. Then in 2021 he switched his attention to homosexuality. He commissioned what Pink News described as ‘his intersex-inclusive Progress Pride flag helmet’ for the inaugural Grand Prix in Qatar, which he won. Why those born with the unfortunate intersex condition are dragged in, I have no idea, except for shameless political reasons, of course. The inaugural Saudi Arabia Grand Prix followed and Lewis won that too, also in his rainbow helmet.
Then followed the 2021 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix. Lewis turned up in his woke helmet for the third time in solidarity with homosexuality. Sodomy is illegal in all three countries. I suppose refusing to take part was not an option for a man with an eye on an eighth world title.
But look, here are three Muslim countries following the laws of God, which say, in Leviticus chapter twenty:
Lev 20:13 If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them.
You might object to that penalty, but in the UK there is no penalty at all for sodomy. Instead, it is promoted to 4-year-olds in school.
Bringing shame on the UK
Lewis was only calling attention to our national sin, bringing shame in Muslim eyes on the constitutional Christian country he represents. Moreover, his pro-gay virtue, or vice-signalling provides an additional reason to persecute individual Christians in that part of the world.
Anyway, the Abu Dhabi race was held on 12th December 2021. Coming into the race, Red Bull’s Max Verstappen and Lewis Hamilton each had 369.5 points. Lewis needed to win. He made a good start and led for most of the race. He appeared on course to win what would have been a record eighth World Drivers’ Championship. But as Jonny Cash sang, ‘You can run on for a long time, sooner or later God’ll cut you down.’ Or as the Bible says:
Prov 16:18 Pride goeth before destruction, and an haughty spirit before a fall.
On lap 53 of the 58-lap race Nicholas Latifi crashed his Williams and out came the safety car. Max Verstappen went into the pits for a change of tyres. Lewis stayed out. A controversial and erroneous safety car restart made it a one-lap race. Lewis, with his old tyres, was a sitting duck for the Dutchman, who overtook the Mercedes driver in the last moments of the race, clinching the championship.
Three days later, on 15th December 2021, Lewis Hamilton was knighted by the then Prince of Wales for services to motorsports. Some consolation.
Troubles at Mercedes
The official who made the wrong decision was demoted, but the race result stood. And then it really started to go wrong for Sir Lewis, and for his team-mate George Russell. After a re-design, the Mercedes car which emerged for the 2022 season appeared to have both an engine deficit and suspension problems. From eleven wins and three more podium finishes (that’s second or third) in 2020 and eight wins and a further nine podiums in 2021, the best Lewis could manage last year was nine podium finishes and no wins at all. Since he started racing, there had never been a season when Lewis did not win at least one race.
The car, and Lewis, are faring no better in 2023, with just one podium finish in five races. Lewis finished 6th in Miami, with his Mercedes team-mate George Russell in 4th place. In fairness, in the drivers’ overall standings those positions are reversed.
An upgraded Mercedes is coming for the next race, Emilia Romagna in Italy on Sunday 21st May 2023. However, team boss Toto Wolff is only looking to ‘make inroads into Red Bull’s advantage at the front’ and to be ‘the best of the rest’.
‘We just need to manage everybody’s expectation because we’re talking so much about that upgrade,’ he said. ‘We’re not going to put it down on the track and then drive circles around Red Bull, but it’s going be a good baseline, I think.’
Nasty Piece of Work
How can a car which was so good, suddenly become so bad? Why has it become, in Mr Wolff’s words, such ‘a nasty piece of work’ from one year to the next? Why, for that matter, was Lewis on the receiving end of such a poor decision in Abu Dhabi after such an unexpected late crash in only his third outing in his rainbow helmet? Just what is going on? Is he now under a curse? Well, how can there not be a spiritual dimension to these extraordinary catastrophes? If you disagree, what are you saying? That God would not do that? Or that God could not do that? The Bible says in the book of Ecclesiastes:
Eccl 9:11 I returned, and saw under the sun, that the race is not to the swift, nor the battle to the strong, neither yet bread to the wise, nor yet riches to men of understanding, nor yet favour to men of skill; but time and chance happeneth to them all.
But then again, the Bible promises success to those who follow God’s ways, for example, to Joshua:
Joshua 1:8 This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.
And to us all, in the very first Psalm, with a warning to Lewis and his LGBTQ friends:
Psa 1:1 Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. 2 But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night. 3 And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.
Psa 1:4 The ungodly are not so: but are like the chaff which the wind driveth away. 5 Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous. 6 For the LORD knoweth the way of the righteous: but the way of the ungodly shall perish.
Pray for his repentance
We don’t pray any more in our house for success for Lewis Hamilton. We pray now for his repentance. By choosing to support the enemies of the Lord he has put himself in the camp of the ungodly, the sinners and the scornful. The Bible says, in the book of Numbers:
Numb 10:35 And it came to pass, when the ark set forward, that Moses said, Rise up, LORD, and let thine enemies be scattered; and let them that hate thee flee before thee.
Will Sir Lewis Hamilton ever achieve that eighth world drivers’ championship and become the Greatest of All Time, or at least, the One with the Most Titles?
Or will he be like his friend the equally celebrity-woke Serena Williams, desperately chasing that one last title to, in Serena’s case, just take her level with Margaret Court, the Evangelical Christian derided by the press and the glitterati as ‘homophobic’? Serena never made it and has now retired. Margaret Court’s place in history is secure, as is her place in heaven. We read in the psalms:
Psa 146:9 The LORD preserveth the strangers; he relieveth the fatherless and widow: but the way of the wicked he turneth upside down.
That is the kind of God he is. On one level, Lewis has entertained the people and made his money. He has enjoyed success. But ambition is built into all of us. It is part of being made in the image of God. I am sure Lewis wants that eighth title. What a pity he has turned his back on the God who gave him his gift and who could give him his final goal if he would only humble himself and repent. The Lord Jesus said:
Matt 13:41 The Son of man shall send forth his angels, and they shall gather out of his kingdom all things that offend, and them which do iniquity; 42 And shall cast them into a furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth.
Yes, he is a God of judgment. But he is a God of mercy, and if your own life is being lived in rebellion from God, you too can turn from your wickedness right now, accept the Lord Jesus as your Saviour, your God and your King, and live to the full his risen life.

2Chron 16:9a For the eyes of the LORD run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to shew himself strong in the behalf of them whose heart is perfect toward him. Psa 94:2 Lift up thyself, thou judge of the earth: render a reward to the proud. Psa 119:21 Thou hast rebuked the proud that are cursed, which do err from thy commandments. Psa 138:6 Though the LORD be high, yet hath he respect unto the lowly: but the proud he knoweth afar off. Isa 2:12 For the day of the LORD of hosts shall be upon every one that is proud and lofty, and upon every one that is lifted up; and he shall be brought low: Jer 50:31 Behold, I am against thee, O thou most proud, saith the Lord GOD of hosts: for thy day is come, the time that I will visit thee. Luke 1:51 He hath shewed strength with his arm; he hath scattered the proud in the imagination of their hearts. Luke 14:11 For whosoever exalteth himself shall be abased; and he that humbleth himself shall be exalted. Romans 1:30 Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents, James 4:6 But he giveth more grace. Wherefore he saith, God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto the humble.

‘Together in Love and Faith’ is a pro-gay booklet by Rt Rev Steven Croft, Anglican Bishop of Oxford. The Oxford Diocese sees it as supporting the pro-gay ‘Living in Love and Faith’ project which is currently tearing the Church of England apart, as David Virtue reports here.
Here, I dissect ‘Together in Love and Faith’ and discover it is as intellectually lightweight as every other bit of ‘gay theology’.
But firstly, I’ll just remind you the House of Commons debated a proposal from the Church of England bishops for ‘gay blessings’ in a debate on 24th January 2023.
House of Commons berates bishops
The homosexual MP Ben Bradshaw (Exeter) (Lab) asked ‘the Second Church Estates Commissioner if he will make a statement on the outcome of the meeting of Church of England bishops on equal marriage in the Church of England.’ HANSARD is HERE. And here is this message in VIDEO:
Firstly, Mr Bradshaw used the expression ‘equal marriage’. ‘Gay-marriage’ will never be ‘equal’ to God’s divine institution. It isn’t even ‘equal’ in civil law, because homosexuals have no way to consummate their ‘gay-marriage’. To file for divorce, they can only commit adultery with a member of the opposite sex. ‘Equal marriage’ is not just a fiction, it is laughable.
All the same, the ‘Second Church Estates Commissioner’, Andrew Selous MP, responded thus:
‘Last Friday, the bishops of the Church of England published a pastoral letter and draft resources that will enable same-sex couples to come to a Church of England church to give thanks for their civil marriage or civil partnership, and to have a service in which there would be prayers of dedication, thanksgiving and blessing for the couple. The bishops also apologised for the rejection, exclusion and hostility that LGBTQI+ people have faced in some of our churches. The bishops are united in condemning homophobia, and urged churches to welcome same-sex couples “unreservedly and joyfully”. I am pleased to speak for a Church that has the humility to apologise and admit when it has behaved badly.’
Our Lord endorsed creation account
However, if the Church of England has ‘behaved badly’ it is by not meeting homosexuals at their actual point of need and offering healing and deliverance. Rather, for Mr Selous, objecting to ‘gay blessings’ is a failure ‘to go forward’.
During the debate, if we can call one-way traffic a ‘debate’, Sir Chris Bryant MP asked ‘Did Jesus say a single word about same-sex relationships or marriage?’ This writer was not aware the Rt Hon Member for Rhondda had a theological bent, but we should observe that the answer, not that any MP ventured it, is ‘Yes, our Lord did speak about human sexuality and marriage.’ He endorsed creation and God’s holy institution both in Mark chapter 10 and here in the Gospel of Matthew:
Matt 19:4 And he answered and said unto them, Have ye not read, that he which made them at the beginning made them male and female, 5 And said, For this cause shall a man leave father and mother, and shall cleave to his wife: and they twain shall be one flesh?
Furthermore, as an MP might have said, but didn’t, becoming ‘one flesh’, in the full spiritual and emotional sense, of which sexual intercourse is the physical expression, is something a pair of gays or two lesbians can never do. It’s because they lack between them the essential God-given complementary bodily equipment. That, by the way, is why they can never consummate a ‘gay-marriage’. It is also why ‘adultery’ must involve two people of opposite sexes.
Bishop’s offering has no science
A Christian Voice member very kindly and without any prompting (thank you, sir) sent this writer a copy of Together in Love and Faith. It was written in late 2022 by the Bishop of Oxford, the Rt Rev Steven Croft. It argues for full gay marriage in church. There are 49 pages of it, with some reference to scripture in pages 25 – 34.
The Bishop concedes in his offering that some New Testament texts ’lie at the foundation of the Church’s prohibitions against same-sex activity’. Nevertheless, the Bishop says their number ’is not large’. Furthermore, ’none of them is an extensive, intentional treatment of the subject’. He completely ignores Matthew 19 and Mark 10 as if they do not exist. Of course he does. Our Lord’s words embarrass him.
In his epistle to the church in Rome, the Apostle Paul, inspired by the Holy Spirit, wrote:
Rom 1:26 For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature: 27 And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet.
The bishop dismisses Roman 1:26-27 by saying ‘our science and knowledge of sexual identity and orientation has moved on’. He actually means fashions and his personal prejudices, because there is not one single reference in his ‘Endnotes’ to the scientific literature on homosexuality. Steven Croft has not studied it at all, let alone in the length this writer did in his book The Sexual Dead-End.
Bishop Croft believes the Biblical witness against homosexuality is really only contained in these two verses of Leviticus:
Lev 18:22 Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination.
Lev 20:13 If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them.
So is God happy with bestiality, Bishop?
However, after quoting them, or at least the first, he sneers: ‘How many other commandments and regulations in Leviticus does the church keep and teach today?’
Well, we note the tables of affinity from Lev 18 and 20, forbidding marriage between close relatives, are still observed in the church. We also hope it would both keep and teach these commandments against adultery, child sacrifice and bestiality, which, coincidentally, we find either side of the injunction against sodomy in Lev 18:22:
Lev 18:20 Moreover thou shalt not lie carnally with thy neighbour’s wife, to defile thyself with her.
Lev 18:21 And thou shalt not let any of thy seed pass through the fire to Molech, neither shalt thou profane the name of thy God: I am the LORD.
Lev 18:23 Neither shalt thou lie with any beast to defile thyself therewith: neither shall any woman stand before a beast to lie down thereto: it is confusion.
Furthermore, upon this verse in Leviticus stands Christian redemptive theology:
Lev 17:11 For the life of the flesh is in the blood: and I have given it to you upon the altar to make an atonement for your souls: for it is the blood that maketh an atonement for the soul.
Ceremonial Law abrogated
A more considered look at the book of Leviticus sees that apart from that verse and chapters 18 and 20, which are of universal application, the clue to the purpose of the rest of the book of Leviticus lies in the name. It carries instructions for the ceremonial temple duties of the tribe of Levi.
Bishop Croft does not seem to know that the ministry of the Lord Jesus abrogated the ceremonial laws of Leviticus. He even quotes in full a moment in a drama called The West Wing, where one of the characters quotes a version of the ‘Dr Laura’ questions doing the rounds at the time. For example:
‘I know from Leviticus 11:6-8 that touching the skin of a dead pig makes me unclean, but may I still play football if I wear gloves?’
It goes on (it really does go on) asking what penalties should apply today for sowing a field with different crops and wearing garments made with ‘different threads’ (it was wool and linen in Lev 19:19 – and Deut 22:11).
The idea of the questions is that the requirements of God’s law through Moses look silly and therefore that looking to the Bible for any questions of morality is silly. The questions fall down by making no distinction whatever between the judicial and moral laws of God, which in their general equity are still in force, and ceremonial matters of ritual holiness and the priesthood, which all passed with the sacrifice of Jesus.
The Genesis account
However, God’s design for human sexuality actually begins, not with Sodom, nor with Leviticus, but in the two Genesis passages brought together, as we saw above, by the Lord Jesus:
Gen 1:27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.
Gen 2:24 Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh.
Right there is God’s creation of mankind as ‘male and female’ and his institution of marriage. The Bishop has to talk about marriage, but he finesses these scriptures to be more about fellowship than about God’s division of the sexes. He dismisses the Genesis 18 and 19 account of Sodom as concerning rape rather than homosexuality. He accepts scripture informs scripture but ignores, or does not know, what the Prophet Ezekiel wrote about Sodom:
Ezek 16:50 And they were haughty, and committed abomination before me: therefore I took them away as I saw good.
He accepts that Jude 1:7 accepts that the sin of Sodom is, well, sodomy:
Jude 1:7 Even as Sodom and Gomorrha, and the cities about them in like manner, giving themselves over to fornication, and going after strange flesh, are set forth for an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire.
Less than scholarly
But that, for Bishop Croft, merely reflects ‘the tradition by this time’. The holy Apostle did not, you see, have the benefit of Mr Croft’s woke personal opinion that the sin of Sodom was rape and rape alone. Because, for Mr Croft, there is ‘an overall trajectory’ ‘within Scripture’. Moreover, he thinks people like him have authority to continue the ‘trajectory’ after the closing of the Canon. He gives what he hopes is a good example. Scripture also endorsed slavery, he says, but we now know that slavery is wrong.
This is another example of his less than scholarly approach. What he calls ‘slavery’ in the Bible was bond servitude, which formed part of an ancient social security system. However, capturing and selling another human being, the core of what we understand as actual slavery, carries the death penalty in God’s law:
Exod 21:16 And he that stealeth a man, and selleth him, or if he be found in his hand, he shall surely be put to death.
Mr Croft also cites Deuteronomy 23:17-18 and correctly identifies it as referring to ritual cult practice:
Deut 23:17 There shall be no whore of the daughters of Israel, nor a sodomite of the sons of Israel. 18 Thou shalt not bring the hire of a whore, or the price of a dog, into the house of the LORD thy God for any vow: for even both these are abomination unto the LORD thy God.
However, it would logically follow that if the Lord is cool with sodomy except when it forms part of pagan ritual, then surely he is also now happy with whoredom. Naturally, that is a clarification too far for the Bishop’s purpose.
Intellectually lightweight theology
All in all, Together in Love and Faith is an intellectually lightweight offering. Bishop Croft never engages with the mass of scientific literature on homosexual promiscuity despite speaking blithely of ‘faithful, stable, long-term same-sex relationships’ as if they are the norm rather than the exception in the homosexual sub-culture.
In fact, under that very heading (‘faithful … relationships’) he recalls a priest coming to him wanting to ‘marry’ his same-sex civil partner. We expect a declaration that this man and his civil partner had not been having ‘flings’ outside, which the homosexual literature reveals is common in male homosexual relationships. But there is nothing. Does the bishop even know this happens in the gay world?
Finally, despite his degree in classics and theology, the Bishop dodges any examination of the Greek words malekoi and arsenekoitai. The Apostle Paul uses these to describe homosexual men in 1Cor 6:9:
1Cor 6:9 Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind, 10 Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God. 11 And such were some of you: but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God.
What Bishop Croft doesn’t want to tell you is that ‘malakoi’ means ‘soft to the touch’. It’s ancient Greek slang equivalent to the 1960’s word ‘pansy’ or the KJV ‘effeminate’. ‘Arsenekoitai’, translated as the second underlining above, is literally ‘man in bed’ and matches the Greek word in the Septuagint’s translation of Leviticus 20:13. The Apostle is plainly referring us back to Leviticus. Put them together and the highly-educated and well-travelled Paul means passive and active homosexuals.
Bishop Croft must know this but he fears to go into that kind of depth. Then again, what do you expect? Homosexual theology relies on a lack of intellectual rigour. We mustn’t look at the Bible, or homosexual lifestyles, too closely. As long as a ‘theologian’ can come out with something, anything, the gays will be happy.
PRAY: Pray the Lord will raise up those who will speak truth to the church. Pray for true Christians in the Anglican Church worldwide to stand firm on Scripture and sound doctrine.

Cultural Climate Change
So what is Cultural Climate Change? Unlike alleged weather ‘climate change’, this one is totally man-made!
Cultural Climate Change is characterised by a disregard for the sanctity of life and the divine institution of marriage. It leads to an ice age of falling birthrates, a rising sea-level of immorality, an increase in the temperature of intolerance to prophetic warning voices and a cooling of the altruism we need to bind us together. Civilisations in the past have been here and done this, Rabbi Sacks argues. Every one of them has gone down the rubbish-chute of history, driven out by a stronger monotheistic and monogamous force. The word of God says:
Proverbs 16:12 It is an abomination to kings to commit wickedness: for the throne is established by righteousness.
If you want your nation to be blessed, those who lead you must set Jesus as their King. Scripture clearly says:
Psalm 33:12 Blessed is the nation whose God is the LORD;
Living in the Days of Lot
We can also say the West is now living in the Days of Lot. In the societies of Sodom and Gomorrah, immorality in the form of sodomy was not merely tolerated but encouraged by their legal and societal structures. They also practised child sacrifice. However, the West today goes one further. It uses government foreign aid programmes and immoral charitable foundations to export its immorality, funding local activist NGOs to spread Cultural Climate Change in their countries.
Psa 2:2 The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the LORD, and against his anointed, saying, 3 Let us break their bands asunder, and cast away their cords from us.
The West also employs diplomatic pressure. One forum where this can be seen is the Commonwealth Heads of Government meeting.
Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting
In previous years, pro-homosexual nations and activists within them have attempted to promote assumed LGBT rights in and around the meeting.
Australia put down a pro-sodomy motion at the CHOGM in October 2011. The United Kingdom supported it. In June 2011, Prime Minister David Cameron told a reception he gave for gay activists at No 10 Downing Street that he intended to use UK foreign aid as a lever to force recipient countries to liberalise their laws on homosexuality. His speech was reported in the UK homosexual website Pink News. This writer’s reaction to it was reported in DominicaNewsOnline. I said: ‘David Cameron needs to realise that the white man is not the fount of all wisdom’.
The Bible writers would surely call Mr Cameron a man ‘who did evil in the sight of the Lord’.
Commonwealth Secretary-General Baroness Scotland stands accused of cronyism and corruption.
Her Majesty the Queen signed a new Commonwealth Charter in 2013, which declared: ‘We are implacably opposed to all forms of discrimination, whether rooted in gender, race, colour, creed, political belief or other grounds.’ The Western nations wanted ‘sexual orientation’ included explicitly in the Charter. They lost, and will now try to argue that ‘or other grounds’ includes ‘sexuality’.
In 2015, the CHOGM elected Baroness Scotland as Secretary-General. Her Ladyship said she would use her tenure to promote decriminalisation of homosexuality in Commonwealth countries. She is now embroiled in accusations of corruption.
In 2018, Prime Minister Theresa May told the CHOGM that laws against unnatural practices were ‘wrong’. Prince William has expressed himself to be heavily pro-gay. Yet the Bible says:
Lev 18:22 Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination.
Division and Pushback
However, events around the UNFPA Nairobi Summit in November 2019, which promoted ‘Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights’ (SRHR: code for pro-LGBT and pro-abortion policies) together with Comprehensive Sexuality Education (CSE), exposed deep divisions between nations already engulfed by Cultural Climate Change and those threatened by it.
The Nordic Nations, Norway, Sweden, Finland and Denmark, were the primary funders of the Summit. Moreover, no end of blond young women activists attended the Summit. In contrast, African, Caribbean and Asian nations were dismayed by the Western attempts to promote immorality. Uganda and St Lucia stood with the US to condemn the UNFPA agenda. Norway then condemned what it saw as the ‘pushback’.
Christian Voice and Kenya Christian Voice were there. We handed out leaflets condemning abortion to those going in and our activities were noticed and made a real impact in the spiritual realm.
Freedom of Speech
There is, as mentioned above, a serious impact from Cultural Climate Change on freedom of speech and expression. Legalising homosexuality leads immediately to non-discrimination laws. The next step is a law mandating public authorities to promote ‘protected characteristics’. These include ‘sexual orientation’ and transgenderism. Scripture condemns such vanities:
Isaiah 5:20 Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!
The same public authorities, and other concerns and companies, use these laws to sack Christians and others who express misgivings about homosexual practice on social media. The church also begins to exercise self-censorship.
LGBT propaganda
The experience of the UK shows that legalising homosexuality also leads to the pretence of same-sex ‘marriage’. This, coupled with the public authority duty, leads to teachers corrupting primary school children with LGBT propaganda. Yet it is parents, not teachers, to whom God gives responsibility for children’s education:
Deut 11:18 Therefore shall ye lay up these my words in your heart and in your soul, … 19 And ye shall teach them your children, speaking of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, when thou liest down, and when thou risest up.
There is a trampling on parental responsibilities for their children’s education, even though these are enshrined not just in the Bible but in human rights legislation. In Birmingham, the courts denied parents freedom of assembly to protest against LGBT propaganda in Anderton Park and Parkfield Primary Schools.
Transgenderism
Schools in the UK are now also hotbeds of the horrors of transgenderism. The idea placed in the minds of even small children that they are ‘trapped in the wrong body’ has become so fashionable the UK government even allow doctors to prescribe hormonal drugs, ‘puberty blockers’ which interfere with children’s natural development.

Deut 22:5 The woman shall not wear that which pertaineth unto a man, neither shall a man put on a woman’s garment: for all that do so are abomination unto the LORD thy God.
Matt 19:4 And he (Jesus) answered and said unto them, Have ye not read, that he which made them at the beginning made them male and female?
(P.S. There has more recently been a pushback against transgenderism, with the closure of the UK’s Tavistock Clinic. The UK government also want to ensure fairness in sports. But at this time of posting [January 2023], the Scottish Parliament had voted to allow anyone to switch gender, without so much as a doctor’s note. Meanwhile the UK government were proposing to criminalise anyone, even a parent, who voiced concerns over even a child’s intention to ‘transition’.)
The prize of Jamaica
J-Flag: Jamaican campaigning homosexuals
Cultural Climate Change is being pushed in Africa and Asia and across the whole of the Caribbean. However, Jamaica, the largest Commonwealth island in the Caribbean, would be a highly significant prize if judges and/or lawmakers could be browbeaten into legalising sodomy and abortion. There is money to be made, particularly from abortion. Underneath is an anti-Christian population control agenda. We shall explore that at another time…
Anyway, the propaganda appears to be working for now. An article in the Guardian in December 2018 was headed ‘Welcome to Jamaica – no longer ‘the most homophobic place on Earth.’
The article highlighted what it described as ‘the work of Jamaica Forum for Lesbians, All-Sexuals and Gays (J-Flag), the country’s largest LGBT rights organisation, which this month celebrates its 20th anniversary.’
J-FLAG

So let us look at ‘J-FLAG’. According to its website, J-FLAG has six directors and no fewer than thirteen full-time members of staff, including a ‘Senior Youth Programme Officer’, one Sean Lord. Foreign-funded NGO jobs are among the most lucrative in the developing world. A Scottish gay charity has just admitted its youth outreach programmes amounted to grooming and sexual abuse.
Its 2017 annual report boasted of its ‘gay pride celebrations’, public visibility in its clearing beaches campaign, support from private sector companies and of being heard sympathetically in Parliament. It states that the Minister of Justice, Hon. Delory Chuck, called for decriminalisation of anti-sodomy laws, only to appear to back-track.
The Minister of Health, Dr Christopher Tufton, demanded ‘stigma and discrimination’ against ‘minority groups’ be ended. Most worrying, the Minister of Tourism, Edmund Bartlett, it says, told a London summit that Jamaica welcomes ‘LGBT travellers’. The latter bring tourism money, it is true. But they also bring heightened use of narcotics, sexual health risks and the corruption of ‘sex-tourism’ as well-heeled foreign homosexual men try to hire local boys for sex. The tourist industry is proposing a pact with the devil.
J-FLAG is also promoting feminist group ‘We-Change’, a magazine, ‘Pride ja’, a disturbing youth ‘outreach’, and a transsexual group, ‘Transwave’. They boasted of a partnership between J-Flag and ‘the Youth Division of the (Jamaica) Ministry of Youth, Sports & Culture.’
Confusing accounts
J-FLAG accounts are difficult to comprehend, even when it publishes them. It seldom lists its donors, but we’ll come to that. Its 2014 annual report lists 5,000,000 on administration, 17,500,000 pn staff, and 22,000,000 on ‘program’.
Its 2018 Annual Report showed a rise to 9,306,240 on administration, 10,133,405 on staff, and 71,811,593 on ‘program’ (p29). It does not say what currency these figures are in, which is a gross omission. It may be Jamaican dollars, which would put the listed expenditure in the £500k bracket.

LGBT promotion in the Caribbean
What is certain is that all the money comes from the West. The 2015/2016 Global Resources Report listed ‘Government and Philanthropic Support for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Intersex Communities’.
The top ten funders of ‘LGBTI’ funding for Latin America, South America and the Caribbean (p6) included Hivos (a wealthy humanist foundation in the Netherlands), the EU, Ford Foundation, Open Society Foundations (founded by George Soros), Astraea Lesbian Foundation for Justice and the San Francisco-based Tides Foundation.
Costa Rica is being deluged with Cultural Climate Change money, $5m in 2015/16, according to the report. But second is Jamaica, with $1,785,967 pouring in. As J-FLAG is about the only and certainly the largest LGBT CSO in Jamaica, the bulk of that money must be ending up in J-FLAG coffers.
Swedish heiress Sigrid Rausing, based in the UK, is at the forefront of LGBT funding worldwide.
Donors listed
J-FLAG’s 2014 annual report listed some of its donors (p 38 – [p42 in the pdf]): Digicell Foundation, European Union, FOSI, Foundation To Promote An Open Society (sounds like a Soros set-up), Human Dignity Trust, MAC-AIDS, Rights Now, Royal Norwegian, Sigrid Rausing Trust, US State Department, York University and VIIV Healthcare. (US State Dept. money for promoting sodomy dried up under President Trump only to restart under Joe Biden.)
Sigrid Rausing Trust admits, or boasts, of having sent £480,000 to J-FLAG over the years from 2009. They gave them £240,000 over three years starting in 2018. (Stop Press: Their current grant is £300,000 over three years from 2022./)
Last year, 2019, Astraea Lesbian Foundation gave J-FLAG £500,000.
Wealthy foundations
GiveOut founder, UK gay activist Elliot Vaughn.
Astraea itself is supported by other wealthy US foundations including Arcus, Tides and Ford and has strong links to Open Society Foundations.
We see Astraea and Open Society supporting similar groups around the world, for example, South Africa’s Triangle Project (pp 39-43). Other ‘usual suspects’ also appear, such as the Germany-based Heinrich Boll Foundation.
The Edge Funders Alliance ran a conference in 2013 helpfully listing many of the Western NGOs and Foundations funding groups promoting immorality in Africa, Asia and the Caribbean.
Returning to J-FLAG, we find a UK homosexual charity, GiveOut, fund-raising for J-FLAG’s ‘Community Hub’, ‘Rainbow House’. GiveOut have also provided funds for J-FLAG’s Transwave as well as the ‘United Caribbean Trans Network’ (UCTRANS).
Abortion
Jamaica’s IPPF-funded FAMPLAN ’s logo carries worrying allusions to China’s infamous ‘one-child’ policy .
Abortion is illegal in Jamaica except, obviously, to save the life of the mother. International Planned Parenthood run the Jamaica Family Planning Association, FAMPLAN. We read FAMPLAN is an advocate of sex education in schools. That will heighten demand for contraceptives, and when they fail, abortion.
In 2005 the pro-abortion Guttmacher Institute published a paper about ‘declining international funding’ for Caribbean family planning associations. Like the Jamaican LGBT-advocacy industry, FAMPLAN is totally reliant on Western funding. It’s money was coming from US-based IPPF, from the Canadian International Development Agency ‘and similar International organizations’. It received no money from the Jamaican government.
In Kenya, Marie Stopes has been caught out providing illegal abortions in its network on clinics in the country. The abortions are heavily subsidised from the West, notably some £48m from the UK taxpayer. Marie Stopes does not operate across the Caribbean. If IPPF is providing that service, we have found no evidence of it at this time of writing.
Propaganda
Nevertheless, IPPF would be well set to make a lot of money if abortion were ever legalised in Jamaica, so we should expect pro-abortion articles in the press, presentations to Parliament and similar propaganda, or ‘advocacy’ if one prefers.
Indeed, we read On an IPPF website: ‘FAMPLAN is a key player within a coalition of civil society organizations advocating for legal and policy changes related to sexual and reproductive health and rights, including the rights of LGBTQI+ individuals and women who have experienced violence. FAMPLAN also focuses on the health and rights of young people, and has been leading a collaborative effort to revise and strengthen school-based sexuality education, and remove the requirement of parental consent for youth under 18 who want to access sexual and reproductive health services.’
Whenever we read ‘sexual and reproductive health and rights’ (SRHR) alarm bells ring. The expression was prominent at the Nairobi UNFPA Summit in November 2019. It is code for liberalisation of laws around homosexuality and abortion. And we note FAMPLAN want to paint parents of under-18s out of the picture where their children’s sexual activities are concerned.
Christian response
That particular IPPF webpage is no longer available, but IPPF’s ‘Famplan’ section boasts of its Youth Advocacy Movement HERE and says HERE that despite ‘cultural barriers and stigma’ Famplan has ‘made its mark’. It is a challenge to the church in Jamaica and to Christian youth in particular. The church needs to identify these strongholds of Satan and take prayer action against them.
As well as confront evildoers, Christians are called to offer up:

Mass Resistance
Moving back to the LGBT agenda, Brian Camenker of US-based Mass Resistance was able to present a speech at a pro-family rally in Jamaica in 2013 hosted by Dr Wayne West.
According to the MassResistance website, ‘Camenker outlined — point by point — the progression that followed once homosexuality was legalized everywhere else — and would surely happen in Jamaica. After legalization comes: gay pride parades; non-discrimination laws; homosexuals’ adoption of children; the homosexual agenda in schools; forcing “gay marriage” on society; public funding to deal with increased homosexual-related social problems; the transgender agenda; large-scale loss of free speech; ban on counseling for kids with homosexual issues; and attacks on churches.’
Russian response
Under President Putin, Russia has been moving to a more pro-family and pro-life stance. It is one of the reasons Russia is now so hated by Western liberals.
In 2015 Russia banned Open Society Foundation from any activities in the country. Indeed, Russia now bans all organisations funded from abroad seeking to undermine the nation’s morals and corrupt its young. In 2013, Russia brought in a federal law ‘for the purpose of protecting children from information advocating for a denial of traditional family values’. Known as the ‘gay propaganda law’, this measure has already proved highly effective at preventing gay activists presenting homosexuality as a norm, or holding gay pride parades. Amnesty International and Western liberal opinion are appalled.
P.S. (Jan 2023) Yet even the UK now demands transparency around the activities of foreign powers. The Foreign Influence Registration Scheme (FIRS) was introduced to the National Security Bill by a government amendment in October 2022. The aim is to deter foreign power use of covert arrangements, activities and proxies, ‘where those activities are directed or carried out by entities established overseas or subject to foreign power control’.

Jamaica! Stand firm!
In the face of all the well-funded international pressure to bring Cultural Climate Change to Jamaica, we should be failing in our Christian prophetic duty if we were not to issue a warning to the people of Jamaica of their need to stand firm.
This ministry is therefore available to brief those in authority, diplomats, law-makers and pastors. We were present in Nairobi in November 2019 and are currently working on submissions to members of parliament in Kenya.
In Jamaica, it seems one necessary measure is to compel NGOs and CSOs which receive money from overseas to list each such donation in their annual published accounts. Russia’s example is one that has much to commend it as well.
The CHOGM 2020

Looking ahead to June 2020 and Kigali, delegates from Africa, Asia and the Caribbean should be aware at least one pro-LGBT NGO has achieved affiliate status at the CHOGM. The‘Commonwealth Equality Network’ will ensure the presence of LGBT activists in Kigali. It lists 47 of its ‘member’ LGBT groups across the Commonwealth HERE. An article in the Independent in April 2018 also listed homosexual activists from the UK, South Africa, Sri Lanka, Barbados, Malawi, Tonga, Belize, Malaysia, Seychelles and Australia. Clearly, the Commonwealth white nations are funding all the others.
The UK government may well be on ‘best behaviour’ in June 2020 as Boris Johnson focuses on trade deals. That provides an opportunity for Caribbean, African and Asian nations to put together a pro-family, pro-life resolution. High Commissioners in London could prove instrumental in deciding whether such an approach is feasible, and if so, in organising it, and if not, pondering what else should be done.
The hosting country has great influence, not least in speeches welcoming delegates. It would be helpful if President Paul Kagame could remind assembled nations of the need to respect traditional values, for example.

Research
More research should be done on the funding of pro-LGBT and pro-abortion NGOs, and this ministry stands ready to do whatever the Lord calls us to do to combat the global menace of Cultural Climate Change which threatens to destroy us all.
In particular, we are able to help and even set up pro-life and pro-family groups in the Caribbean. We are already responding to Christians who are establishing Christian Voice affiliates in Africa. This is a movement to stand for righteousness and pray for those in authority whose time is long overdue. Every Christian has a duty to offer up:

Scotland’s NHS service is planning to fast-track irreversible surgeries for people who believe they are the opposite sex, according to the Telegraph. A report by the service claims ‘barriers’ to gender reassignment surgery need to be removed and operations made more widely available. These operations include mastectomies, breast implants, and genital reassignment, as well as hormone treatments. The document also claims the new plan can ‘benefit’ patients who identify as a different gender. Furthermore, the report includes a suggestion that GPs rather than specialists be allowed to send patients for procedures. It says a single opinion is enough to refer for surgery in most cases.
Mental health issue
The group that wrote the report named it SPATH (Scottish Pathway for Trans Healthcare) in an apparent attempt to link itself to WPATH. World Association for Transgender Health(WPATH) is a group that advocates gender surgery for adolescents. Firstly, the report states that counselling or psychotherapy examining gender identity is not a prerequisite for any gender-affirming healthcare. This means that people could be sent for operations without any interrogation of alternative reasons for gender dysphoria. Additionally, It adds that no one is expected to describe their sexuality or current gender identity in stereotypical ways in order to access gender-affirming healthcare. ‘Access to hormones and surgeries can act as a prophylactic measure against distress. A person who identifies as a different gender can have persistent gender incongruence without distress and can still benefit from gender-affirming hormones or surgeries.’
Quick Fix?

A director with the For Women Scotland campaign group (FWS), said surgeries on healthy bodies should not be seen as a quick fix. Trina Budge added that there was no proof they resolved gender dysphoria. ‘This now appears to be a service to fast-track surgeries selected by the patient, to satisfy how they wish to look, rather than any clinical attempt to address a mental health issue’, she said. Meanwhile, Nicola Sturgeon’s government has urged Lady Haldane(Judge) to dismiss a case brought by FWS. The campaign group insists it is quite clear that UK legislation allows a male to become legally female. FWS argues that the change which the government hopes would boost the number of persons identifying as a different gender, is unlawful under the Equality Act. However, Ruth Crawford, KC, representing the government, believes that a person born male could be legally seen as a woman under the 2004 Gender Recognition Act.
‘Very troubling indeed’
The plans to enforce these rules in Scotland follow approaches advocated by a group called the World Professional Association for Transgender Health (WPATH). The organisation assert that it is unethical for medical professionals to stop children from receiving the treatment if they want to stop developing into the wrong sex. WPATH also suggests the age at which children should be able to receive such treatment should be lowered to 14. Dr David Bell, a whistleblower at England’s Gender Identity Service for children(GIDS) even said it was ‘very troubling indeed’ to see the Scottish moving in this direction. ‘We have an ethical duty towards young people and adults not to treat things at face value,’ he added. Christian Voice in several articles has said in accordance with the Bible that healthy people require no medications. Mark 2:17 When Jesus heard it, he saith unto them, They that are whole have no need of the physician, but they that are sick: I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance. Is it not harmful to society that young people will as a result of these new treatments make decisions that will have an adverse effect on their lives?
State-endorsed form of ‘social transition’
A spokesman for NHS Scotland said the organisation would soon submit its final recommendations for a new treatment to SNP ministers. ‘This new protocol draws upon the widest appropriate evidence base and relevant clinical data,’ he added. Subject to Scottish Government approval, it will replace the current arrangements. This will date from 2012 and determine gender reassignment pathways throughout NHS Scotland.
The Issue
Aside from the cost of living crisis, the treatment of gender and sexuality in children and adolescents is still a topic of public debate. The first shock came from psychoanalyst Dr. Marcus Evans, who served on the board of Tavistock Gender Identity Development Services (GIDS). The consultant quit his job after denouncing that doctors were subjected to censorship at the clinic.
They expressed concern, for example, about the hurried procedures that resulted in ‘inadequate clinical assessments’ and premature interventions on young patients. Dr. Evans also revealed that many of his colleagues were under attack from activist groups to keep the issue secret.
The Big Regret
The case of a 26-year-old female(now Sam) who underwent a double mastectomy and hormone therapy to become male is worth reading. The young lady, decided to pay for private therapy sessions when she began to question her gender identity at the age of 21. This follows a two and a half years wait period for an NHS appointment. She was initially thrilled to have had a private appointment, and after an online self-diagnosis was given the go-ahead to begin hormone therapy and undergo a double mastectomy. Just two years after the hormone treatment and a double mastectomy, she began suffering health complications. The young woman realised a full gender reassignment surgery was not the answer. By the time her initial NHS appointment came through, it fully dawned on her she had made a mistake and tried to seek help to re-transition. After two years of taking hormones, she began to suffer vaginal atrophy and decided to opt out of the gender reassignment surgery. She has transitioned back to living as a woman.
Other Cases
The story above is not an isolated case. As reported on our website, the stories are piling up of young people who change their gender and eventually regret it. A related organisation referred to as Detransition Advocacy Network was formed to bring them together. Meanwhile, hundreds of young adults are turning to the organisation. They are protesting that hormone treatment has not solved their problems. At the same time, the number of minors who turn to GIDS is increasing exponentially. In 2009, there were 77 children and adolescents. Ten years later, there are already 2590 referrals per year. What has caused this increase? Ideology? Interest? Or just a greater awareness of gender dysphoria? The Telegraph wrote that 35 doctors resigned from the GIDS, much like Dr. Evans in order to resist pressure from the campaign group Mermaids.
Scriptural and Scientific Evidence
The Bible in different chapters has made clear God’s intentions for mankind. Any attempt to alter God’s creation will eternally not bring peace except in the place of repentance. Mark 10:6-7 But from the beginning of the creation God made them male and female…For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and cleave to his wife. Genesis 5:1-2 This is the book of the generations of Adam. In the day that God created man, in the likeness of God made he him… Male and female created he them; and blessed them, and called their name Adam, in the day when they were created. Dr. Paul McHugh, a professor of psychiatry at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, says that ‘transgendered’ men do not become women, nor do ‘transgendered’ women become men. Research online maintains that sex reassignment does not adequately address the psychosocial difficulties faced by people who identify as transgender. Even when the procedures are successful technically and cosmetically. In cultures that are relatively ‘trans-friendly,’ transitioners still face poor outcomes. The Guardian summarised the results of a review by Birmingham University’s Aggressive Research Intelligence Facility(ARIF). ARIF concludes that none of the studies provides conclusive evidence that gender reassignment is beneficial for patients.

Following Saturday’s National Trust Annual General Meeting held on 5th November 2022 in Bath, Christian Voice today criticises the Trust over a new voting practice we describe as ‘corrupt’.
The National Trust is Britain’s top conservation charity, so its woke posturing and virtue-signalling matters and affects our spiritual and cultural climate. To avoid criticism of its wokeness, this year the National Trust introduced a controversial mechanism known as ‘Quick Vote’ this year. Members voting online were invited to tick the ‘Quick Vote’ box to vote for all the candidates for Council the Trust recommended and against the resolutions it disliked. ‘Quick Vote’ was even presented as ‘Option 1’, ahead of proper voting.
We have now framed a Resolution against Quick Vote for debate and vote at the 2023 AGM. We know our petition against Quick Vote will be voted down, ironically by their use of Quick Vote, but that will make our point even stronger, to the glory of God.

There were six resolutions in all. They included a policy resolution to stop banking with Barclays and another to pull the Trust back from a tunnel project for the A303 at Stonehenge.
Christian Voice proposed two resolutions, one to cease wilding and wetting projects on Trust farmland, the other to stop the Trust parading in gay pride. The latter topped the yes vote for policy resolutions. But it made no difference with Quick Vote in the mix.
Two management resolutions were proposed by pressure group Restore Trust. They were firstly to appoint an ombudsman for the Trust, and secondly to prevent the chairman skewing the vote on resolutions with ‘discretionary’ members’ proxy votes.
EVERY MEMBERS’ RESOLUTION VOTED DOWN!
But they were behind the curve. Overnight, the Trust had moved the goal-posts. In the event, as the headline over an article in the Daily Telegraph put it, the ‘Annual General Meeting featured (an) unusual moment when every resolution proposed by members was voted down.’
Discretionary proxy votes this year were down by a factor of ten from last year. In 2021 the chairman cast around 20,000 block votes against each resolution the Trust objected to. This year, 2022, that was down to around 2,000. But hiding in the ‘No’ vote were the Quick Votes. The Trust did not disclose the number of Quick Votes. They simply included them in the ‘No’ vote, making it appear as if the resolutions lacked much more popular support than they did.
Based on the figures below, Restore Trust probably won the popular vote on the Chairman’s use of discretionary votes. It is shameful that the National Trust used both discretionary votes and Quick Vote to vote down that very resolution. Furthermore, our resolution on the Trust’s participation in gay pride possibly came close to securing half of the popular vote.
QUICK VOTE SKEWS COUNCIL ELECTIONS
It was worse when it came to the Council Elections. Last year, a candidate needed between 34,402 and 43,536 votes to be elected. This year, however, with Quick Vote tilting the table, the winning candidates secured between 63,771 votes and 72,963.
The Restore Trust candidates scored between 28,205 and 46,612 votes. Not one of them was elected. Under last year’s members-only voting system, at least three, possibly four, would have made it.
Quick Vote appears to have raised the bar for election by an average of almost 30,000 votes.
FULL BREAKDOWN CHALLENGE
Stephen Green, National Director of Christian Voice, proposed the wilding and gay pride resolutions. Today he said:
‘I have already challenged the National Trust to disclose the full breakdown of voting, separating votes cast by ‘Quick Vote’ from those cast in the popular vote in both the Council Elections and the Resolutions. Let’s see if the Trust can follow Biblical principles of honesty and transparency. I remind them:
Matt 10:26b there is nothing covered, that shall not be revealed; and hid, that shall not be known.
‘Then I call upon the National Trust to declare elected to Council those candidates who took the first seven places in the popular vote alone. Candidates only sneaking in because of Quick Vote lack all credibility and legitimacy.
‘In the past, the Trust Chairman used to cast proxy votes for Council Candidates. The Trust stopped this corrupt practice only very recently. It has now returned, called ‘Quick Vote’ instead.’
A COUNCIL OF YES-MEN
‘Under Quick Vote, if your face doesn’t fit, you won’t be elected to the Council. No outsider need even apply any more. Quick Vote is a stitch-up. And if Council members want to be re-elected, they will know not to rock the boat, because now they must be a ‘recommended candidate’ to secure the Quick Vote.
‘It is clear the Trust have introduced Quick Vote to entrench the status quo. In future, no Members’ Resolution critical of the Trust will ever be passed. The Trust don’t trust the members to vote the right way or elect the correct people to the Council. They are now plainly trying to eliminate dissent and build a Council of time-servers and yes-men. Quick Vote is designed to prevent accountability.’
CHAIRMAN SHOULD BE ASHAMED
René Olivieri, Chairman of the National Trust, cast all the ‘Quick Votes’ against the members’ resolutions and for all the Trust’s recommended candidates.
‘The new Chairman, René Olivieri, was appointed in a fanfare as a safe pair of hands after the disastrously woke Tim Parker. But Mr Olivieri is entirely culpable for casting every single ‘Quick Vote’ to support the Trust’s establishment line and candidates. Brought in as a breath of fresh air, he has become just as corrupt as the rest of the National Trust Board. René Olivieri should be ashamed of himself.
‘Quick Vote is also now being used by a great many building societies, trying to avoid proper accountability just like the National Trust. The Building Societies Members Association (BSMA) is particularly critical of ‘Quick Vote’. In a list of desired changes, BSMA says: “All underhand practices such as the infamous ‘Quick Vote’ and tick boxes hidden in the small print should be banned”.’

STOP PRESS 11/11/2022
We have today heard from ‘Jo’ in ‘Governance’ who says the Trust won’t disclose the numbers:
‘Following the weekend’s AGM, the Trust will not be issuing any further details in respect of the breakdown of voting.
‘The voting results as published are already broken down into the number of specified votes and the number of discretionary proxy votes cast. Only the discretionary votes are cast by the Chair. Using Quick Vote means members specify how their vote is cast – and these are therefore counted in the specified votes declared in the results.
‘For the avoidance of doubt, the Chair has no rights in respect of casting votes on the Council elections. A discretionary voting option is not available for the elections.
‘There is no governance requirement to break down the results further.’
Indeed the couple of thousand ‘Discretionary’ Proxy Votes were cast at the Chairman’s discretion against all the Resolutions the Trust disliked. But so were the Quick Votes, in much larger numbers, AND they were cast for the Trust’s preferred candidates as well. It is just not true that the members ticking the Quick Vote box ‘specified’ how their votes were to be cast, resolution by resolution, candidate by candidate. They allowed the Trust to vote for them.
This lack of honesty and transparency in revealing the number is worse in its way than how Quick Vote has skewed, not just the resolution voting, but the Council Elections, as one might say, for everyone, for ever (or until it is ditched). This corruption is going to reflect very badly on the National Trust. Not only have they brought in a dishonest voting system, but they won’t even disclose how many votes it was responsible for! On any measure, the whole affair is disgraceful and will be seen as such.

England women’s player Shaunagh Brown declares ‘Deciding to have a baby would end my rugby career’.
No children with the women
She goes on: ‘A couple of seasons ago, Harlequins men won their first Premiership title for nine years. After the match, there were so many kids on the pitch celebrating with their dads.
‘As I watched the lovely scene, it hit me that if my team – Harlequins Women – won our Premier 15s final a couple of weeks later, nobody’s children would be on the pitch.
‘Why? Because nobody had any.
‘I am currently with England at the Rugby World Cup in New Zealand and we have one mum in our team: Marlie Packer.’
Oddly enough: ‘Marlie did not give birth to her son.’ Er, how did she manage that? Use a surrogate?

No. Shaunagh is too woke to admit it but Marlie’s ‘her son’ is not actually hers. Oliver is the child of her lesbian live-in lover Natasha. Ms Packer is quoted on the RFU’s website saying: ‘My team mates know that I’ve had a baby that my partner has carried.’ The expression ‘I have had a baby’ is truthfully only uttered by a mum who has actually given birth. Marlie Packer is fooling herself. She has not ‘had a baby.’ Natasha has.
The common sense view that a mother is one who has physically brought forth a child is endorsed by the Bible, both in the Old Testament: Song 8:5 Who is this that cometh up from the wilderness, leaning upon her beloved? I raised thee up under the apple tree: there thy mother brought thee forth: there she brought thee forth that bare thee.
And in the New: Luke 1:57 Now Elisabeth’s full time came that she should be delivered; and she brought forth a son.
Not just small men
But back to the topic. Shaunagh explains: ‘As a woman in rugby, it is the norm that you do not get pregnant until you finish your career.’
She is engaged but putting off marriage and/or starting a family until her playing days are over. She will also have to be aware of women’s biological clock.
‘I am 32 now. You have to stop playing contact rugby as soon as you get pregnant so that would at least be nine months out of the game.
‘Then you add on however long it would take me to get back after and at that age trying to get back to the highest level of rugby does not feel like a realistic goal.’
She is calling for ‘Good maternity policies’ which will ‘make you feel like you belong as a woman in rugby.’ The RFU ‘is bringing in a new policy that will offer us much more support as England players.’
She concludes: ‘We are women. We are different. We are not just small men. We have different needs.’
Women’s cricket
Why is maternity such a big topic? It’s because sports authorities, and above all the media, are obsessed with promoting women’s team sports. If it isn’t cricket, it’s football. If not football, rugby, even rugby league. But not hockey. Women’s hockey needs no promotion.
With the new ‘Hundred’ cricket format both the women and the men play matches against the same opposition on the same ground hours apart. The women go first, so the men have the prime spot and more TV coverage, despite the pretence that both sexes are equal.
And of course, the boundaries for the women are brought in and the balls they use are slightly smaller and lighter. Girls cannot hit the ball as far as the blokes and it’s nice for spectators to see sixes scored. The downside is that not as many 2’s are run in the women’s game, for two reasons. Firstly, there are not so many gaps on a smaller pitch. Secondly, men can run a lot faster between the wickets as Welsh Fire women’s bowler Alex Hartley explains on the BBC website.
Women fly economy
British Airways aren’t flying the England Rugby women to the World Cup in New Zealand.
For the women’s rugby union world cup, the pretence at equality fell apart at the airport. British Airways is ‘the Official Airline Partner to England Rugby’.
When the deal was struck in 2018, the airline and the RFU boasted that BA would fly the ‘men’s and women’s squads to tournaments around the world.’ A statement at the time read: “The partnership will see British Airways fly the England Men’s and Women’s teams to matches all around the world, including to Rugby World Cup 2019 in Japan and Women’s Rugby World Cup in 2021.”
However, this was before New Zealand were named as hosts of the women’s tournament. It was also shunted to 2022. BA does not fly to New Zealand. The women flew by Emirates, with, no doubt, a lengthy wait for transfer in Dubai. Moreover, whereas the men always fly business class, the women went economy. Why is that? GiveMeSport.com explain: ‘the RFU have stressed the women’s side is loss-making and that the organisation is limited in what it can invest in.’
Of course women athletes face the same problems trying to schedule child-bearing. The difference is athletics is not a contact sport. Women can continue to compete while pregnant. So are women rugby players asking too much? Is Shaunagh Brown railing against creation itself? After all, the Lord Jesus reminded his hearers: Mark 10:6 But from the beginning of the creation God made them male and female.
Is Shaunagh really picking a fight with God Almighty? The rugby unions can offer no end of advice on how to resume training after childbirth. But she is still a woman and the reality is, women carry babies and women give birth.
Men can carry on playing professional rugby into their late thirties, as we read here. Women who want a good shot at conceiving cannot sensibly do that.
Bodily exercise
Therefore, bearing in mind playing longevity and the extra marketability of men’s rugby, and clubs are more likely to invest in their men players rather than their women.
As the RFU admitted, women’s rugby makes a loss.
Obviously it’s good for the nation’s health if women are exercising. At the moment, twice as many men take part in physical activities as women. Christians are often reminded of the words of the Apostle Paul to Timothy: 1Tim 4:8 For bodily exercise profiteth little: but godliness is profitable unto all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come.
But that is a matter of priorities and the word ‘little’ means for the little time we are here. Moreover, that word was written by a man who thought nothing of walking from Jerusalem to Damascus and who used sports and training metaphors constantly: 1Cor 9:27 But I keep under my body, and bring it into subjection: lest that by any means, when I have preached to others, I myself should be a castaway.
Why the push for women’s sports?
So why the manic enthusiasm for women’s sports? Here is one Annie Bell desperate for some kind of women’s sports dividend from the triumph of the England women’s football team. They are called the ‘lionesses’ by the way. Whatever next? Are gender-specific words like ‘actress’, ‘seamstress’ and ‘manageress’ due for a comeback?

Here is CNN complaining about pay for women in sport while Anya Alvarez in the Guardian thinks she has spotted a disparity in the marketing budgets for men’s and women’s teams and players. Is that as unfair as she suggests? Digiday quotes one Ari Chambers, social creator at HighlightHER, saying: ‘Investment could be there if people are willing to believe that women can be profitable.”
Feminist ideology vs the market
No doubt the push to promote women’s team sports so avidly stems not from concerns over the health of the population but from feminist ideology. There will be some of the same thinking that sees it necessary to dragoon girls into Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths (STEM) subjects. Above all, clubs and national bodies, even advertisers, and especially media outlets, will not be spurning the opportunity of a nice bit of virtue-signalling.
Of course, we are bound to proclaim the Lord Jesus is God, not the market: 1Cor 15:25 For he must reign, till he hath put all enemies under his feet.
Nevertheless, if more people will pay more money to see testosterone-filled men crashing into each, hoicking cricket balls into the sky or making football passes that reliably find their intended target than the women’s version, then at some stage that is what ruling bodies and advertisers alike will have to confront. There is no real problem here, no injustice which scripture can condemn, only God-given gender realities and, if left to themselves, market forces.
So for heavens sake, Shaunagh Brown, regard your feminine biology as a gift from God, not an obstacle to your career.
