David Bryant: Injustice In Buggery Case

A former fireman convicted of a sex attack and held in jail for four years had his conviction quashed in July 2016 in the Court of Appeal.

David Bryant, now 66, of Grove Road East, Christchurch, Dorset, was accused of committing an offence against a man named in court as Danny Day, who was a 14-year-old boy in the 1970s.

Mr Bryant was found guilty of buggery by a majority verdict of a jury in December 2013. He was jailed for six years in January 2014, but appeal judges later increased the sentence to eight-and-a-half years ruling that the original term imposed at Bournemouth Crown Court was ‘unduly lenient’.

MAJORITY VERDICT

Only a courageous and relentless campaign by his wife, who continued to believe in him, led to the evidence of Mr Day being called into question. The latter’s greed in demanding compensation on false pretences also saw his credibility evaporate.

Mr Bryant’s conviction was overturned as ‘unsafe’ by Sir Brian Leveson, Mr Justice Singh and Mr Justice Holgate in the light of the new evidence.

Mr Day alleged David Bryant carried out the attack with another man who was working as a fireman in Christchurch after they had invited the schoolboy to their fire station to play darts with them.
At a previous Court of Appeal hearing a judge said the alleged victim did not report the alleged incident until 2012 ‘after being motivated to come forward in the aftermath of the Jimmy Savile affair’.

CORROBORATING EVIDENCE NOT NEEDED

The need for corroborating evidence in sexual cases was abolished by the Criminal Justice and Public Order Act 1994 in order to secure more convictions in rape cases.

Any case of alleged rape or sexual assault may now be determined simply on the word of the accuser against that of the alleged perpetrator. It all comes down to which of the two is more plausible. In some cases, particularly where celebrities are involved, police name the alleged rapist hoping other accusers will come forward to bolster the case.

A senior police source said in connection with the disgraced ‘Operation Midland’: ‘You don’t have forensics, you don’t have cell site evidence in these kinds of inquires. What you are looking for is other witnesses who are giving similar accounts.’

In Operation Midland the police believed a serial liar known as ‘Nick’ and both ex-MP Harvey Proctor and Lord Bramall, former Chief of the General Staff, endured months of suspicion. The singer Sir Cliff Richard also fell foul of supposed ’historic’ accusations with no merit.

But barrister Matthew Scott, writing on the David Bryant case at http://barristerblogger.com, says juries may not reach a proper verdict in a case where no evidence is offered other than the testimony of an accuser.

DAVID BRYANT CASE: ONLY ACCUSER’S WORD

Mr Scott says it is a ‘fallacy … that a jury of ordinary men and women, or for that matter a bench of magistrates or a single professional judge, can be relied upon, without extraneous evidence, to discern beyond reasonable doubt when someone is telling the truth.

‘Unfortunately, as we have learnt time and time again, neither jury nor professional judge can do anything of the sort. Liars sometimes look shifty and nervously play with their hair; but so do people telling the truth, especially when defending themselves in the witness box under extreme pressure. At other times liars are utterly believable.’

In the case of David Bryant, there was no evidence save the word of Mr Day. The jury were unable to ‘spot the liar’, exactly as Mr Scott contends. He was believed. An innocent man spent over two years behind bars.

NOT BOXING CHAMPION

Mr Day waived his right to anonymity in a series of newspaper interviews after the conviction. But he was finally exposed as a liar after detective work by Mrs Bryant and a team of lawyers and private investigators, who worked on the case ‘pro bono’.

After David Bryant’s conviction, Mr Day launched civil proceedings against Mr Bryant and Dorset County Council, which ran the fire service.

In those proceedings he claimed aggravated damages because he said the assault had ruined his chances of appearing at the Olympics in 1984.

Mr Day claimed to be a boxing champion with a record better than Muhammad Ali. He said he had given up his place on the British boxing team at the Los Angeles Olympics in 1984 because of the trauma of the sexual assault.

PSYCHIATRIST REPORT

Mr Scott says: ‘Mr Day had made a mistake. His insatiable greed led to his downfall. Unlike his allegation of rape, where it was just his word against Mr Bryant’s, his claim of having been an Olympic standard boxer was demonstrably untrue. There was no evidence that he had ever so much as stepped foot in a boxing ring.

‘Then he relied on the report of a psychiatrist to prove the extent of his suffering. But this led to his medical records – inexplicably perhaps overlooked or ignored by the police in the original investigation – being examined. It turned out that, to use the language of Mr Justice Singh: “over a period from 2000 to 2010 the complainant in this case had to seek medical attention from his GP in relation to what can only be described as his being a chronic liar”.

‘When the case eventually made its way back to the Court of Appeal even the Prosecution conceded that the conviction could not possibly stand and Mr Bryant was finally set free.’

BIBLICAL STANDARDS OF EVIDENCE

Under a Godly system, a miscarriage of justice such as has happened to David Bryant could not occur. The scriptures show some basic principles:

Firstly, no-one shall be convicted on the evidence of only one witness. Two or three witnesses are required to establish a conviction. God’s eternal standard is especially important in capital offences, but it applies to all.

READ: Exod 23:7; Numb 35:30; Deut 17:06; Matt 18:16; John 8:17-18; 2 Cor 13:1; 1 Tim 5:19; Heb 10:28.

Secondly, perjury is punishable by the same punishment as would have been inflicted upon the innocent man were he to have been found guilty. The witnesses bear the primary responsibility of conviction.

READ: Deut 17:07, 19:15-20, 1Kgs 21:13; Est 7:10.

Corroborating evidence, forensics, CCTV, for example, can plausibly stand as a ‘witness’. But the testimony of a single individual will not meet the standard. It should not even meet the lower standard of ‘beyond reasonable doubt’ adopted by our courts.

INNOCENT SHOULD NEVER BE CONVICTED

It was a solid Rabinnic principle that the innocent should never be convicted even if that meant some of the guilty also went free. The English jurist William Blackstone expressed the ratio like this: ‘All presumptive evidence of felony should be admitted cautiously; for the law holds it better that ten guilty persons escape, than that one innocent party suffer’.

Matthew Scott writes: ‘What I cannot accept is that criminal courts should be asked to decide cases from decades ago which depend on the word of one complainant against one defendant.

Distressing though it may be for individuals who were sexually abused when they were children not to be believed, the danger that justice will not be done in such cases is simply too great.

‘In 2003 the then Lord Chief Justice, Lord Woolf, quashed a conviction largely on the grounds that there was no rational way of deciding who was telling the truth in a case which turned on which of two people was right about an incident that allegedly occurred about 30 years earlier:

‘“At the heart of our criminal justice system is the principle that while it is important that justice is done to the prosecution and justice is done to the victim, in the final analysis the fact remains that it is even more important that an injustice is not done to a defendant. It is central to the way we administer justice in this country that although it may mean that some guilty people go unpunished, it is more important that the innocent are not wrongly convicted.”’

PRINCIPLE ‘IGNORED’ BY THE COURTS

But Mr Scott says even this principle is being ignored by the Courts. The matter is left to juries, and for the court of appeal to put right any wrongs. But juries should not be expected to convict on one party’s word against another, and the court of appeal cannot be relied upon.

PRAY: Thank God for the eventual acquittal of David Bryant and praise God for his wife who stood by him. But cry to God in anguish that such injustices are not rare in our land and are not easily put right.

Tim Farron: sodomy is sinful

Tim Farron has said he regrets saying he did not believe homosexual sex was a sin during last year’s general election.

During the six-week long campaign, he was asked repeatedly about his religious beliefs and, specifically, about whether he believed gay sex was a sin.

After initially appearing not to answer the question directly, he said he did not want people getting the ‘wrong impression’ about his views, telling the BBC ‘I don’t believe that gay sex is a sin’.

Foolish and wrong

But yesterday, the ex-Lib Dem leader told Premier Christian Radio he had been ‘foolish and wrong’ and had spoken partly to try and get the issue of his faith ‘off the table’.

The committed Christian said the focus on his beliefs stopped him getting his message across during the campaign.

‘It was a little bit like having your main advertising hoarding permanently damaged and vandalised,’ he said.

Mr Farron stepped down as leader of the Lib Dems after last year’s election. He is now his party’s environment spokesman.

But in an interview yesterday with Premier Christian Radio, he said he now regretted not being honest with himself at the time. Furthermore, he admitted his answers had been motivated, partly, by political expediency.

Tim Farron under pressure

Asked whether he had felt under pressure to deal with the issue while touring the country, he replied: ‘The bottom line is, of course, I did.’

‘There are things – including that – that I said that I regret. There was a sense I felt I had to get this off my table: here’s a general election, a great opportunity for the Liberal Democrats… and all they wanted to do was talk about my Christian beliefs and what it meant.’

‘I would say foolishly and wrongly, [I] attempted to push it away by giving an answer that, frankly, was not right.’

Part of the difficulty he said he found himself wrestling with was the different understanding of what sin constitutes for Christians and non-Christians.

‘In the end, if you are a Christian you have a very clear idea of what sin is. It is us falling short of the glory of God, and that is something all of us equally share.

‘So to be asked that question is essentially to persecute one group of human beings because sin is something, Jesus excepted, we are all guilty of. But if you are not a Christian, what does sin mean? It is to be accused of something, to be condemnatory, and so we are talking different languages.’

Society tolerant – apart from …

Reflecting on his experience, he said he did not believe there was ‘a wicked agenda’ to marginalise or ridicule Christians. Nevertheless, there was a risk of society becoming ‘tolerant of everything apart from the things we don’t like’.

He added: ‘There are some who just can’t comprehend that somebody can have really strong convictions and be a Bible-believing Christian on the one hand and at the same time really passionately believing in people’s rights to make their own choices, which essentially is what liberalism is.’

Our only point of difference with Mr Farron is over his belief that his faith should not colour his political views. That is a form of pietism. It stands in contrast to a theonomic view that God makes laws, not man. For example, Jacob Rees-Mogg holds, with Tim Farron, a scriptural view on the sinfulness of sodomy. But Mr Rees-Mogg voted against gay marriage. Mr Farron voted for it.

More Credit to Tim Farron than Vince Cable

Nevertheless, we give Tim Farron great credit. He did wrong, he has admitted it. And full credit also to Premier Christian Radio for giving him a platform. Ours is not an army which shoots its wounded. His humility and repentance should encourage us all to stand full-square on the rock of faith, trust the word of God and proclaim the truth.

In addition, we know where Tim Farron stands. He has made himself perfectly clear. The one who comes out with no credit at all is Vince Cable, current leader of the LibDems.

@vincecable tweeted: ‘I strongly disagree with @timfarron’s personal views expressed today. @libdems have a long & proud record of fighting for #LGBT+ rights: campaigning to repeal section 28, equalising age of consent and legislating for equal marriage. I will continue to champion rights and dignity.’

Is Mr Cable stupid or just being deliberately obtuse? Tim Farron voted for all those things. He may well have been wrong to do so, but he did.

‘Dangerous’ and ‘offensive’

Back in November 2017, Mr Farron gave a speech to the Theos think tank. He said devout Christians are seen as ‘dangerous’ and ‘offensive’ in modern Britain.

Tim Farron said the idea that there was a ‘unifying set of British values’ was a ‘myth’.

The MP for Westmorland and Lonsdale said: ‘If you actively hold a faith that is more than an expression of cultural identity you are deemed to be far worse than eccentric.

‘You are dangerous. You are offensive,’ he said.

‘Being homosexual’ not a sin

We want to be very clear that ‘being homosexual’; in the sense of suffering from same-sex attraction, is not a sin. It is pathological and may keep someone from full communion with the Almighty, but ‘being’ that way inclined is not a sin. It is doing homosexual acts which is sinful and dwelling on them ‘in the heart’. There is such a fine line between temptation and sin, but temptation as such is not sin. The Lord Jesus experienced temptation, but never sinned:

Heb 4:15 For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin.

Many of those who suffer same-sex attraction have been abused and then identify with the aggressor. A boy molested in a children’s home, for example, can then grow up thinking he is homosexual and experience those same desires. He needs the forgiveness of Christ, as we all do, but he also needs healing and probably deliverance. That being said, the word of God says plainly:

Lev 18:22 Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination. 23 Neither shalt thou lie with any beast to defile thyself therewith: neither shall any woman stand before a beast to lie down thereto: it is confusion.

Lev 20:13 If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them.

An abomination

Moreover, we read in the words above that homosexual activity is an abomination. Verse 22 is the only time that word is used in Leviticus 18 and verse 13 the only time in Lev 20. The Hebrew word is ‘To’ebah.’ It means morally disgusting.

(By the way, the word for shellfish and other unclean foods, also unfortunately translated ‘abomination’ all through Leviticus chapter 11 in the King James Bible, is the Hebrew word sheqets.’ Sheqets just means ‘dirty’. Not that homosexual acts aren’t dirty as well as being an abomination. But the Bible doesn’t say that. We digress. But we see the difference.)

In response to those homosexuals who snarl, ‘So I’m an abomination, am I?’ we need to say having same-sex desires itself is not an ‘abomination’. Nor is any individual homosexual ‘an abomination’. That is, not until their doing becomes their being. There comes a point where your day-to-day sinful activity defines you. And we have to say that promoting such activity to school children is an abominable thing to do as well.

Moreover, I strongly believe that such depravity in mind or body provides an open invitation to the demonic.

God’s plan for humanity

Many people think Leviticus, or even the story of Sodom in Genesis 19, is the first time God speaks about human sexuality. But it isn’t. The Creator’s plan is for humanity to be formed around the societal institution of heterosexual love and marriage is revealed in the first two chapters of the first book of the Bible. In Genesis we read:

Gen 1:27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.

Gen 2:23 And Adam said, This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man. 24 Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh.

The Lord Jesus brought these two scriptures together in his answer to the Pharisees:

Mark 10:6 But from the beginning of the creation God made them male and female.
7 For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and cleave to his wife;
8 And they twain shall be one flesh: so then they are no more twain, but one flesh.

And of course, being one flesh, in that full physical, emotional and spiritual sense, is something a pair of gays, or two lesbians, can never do. They lack the complementary physical, emotional and spiritual equipment.

Forgiveness, deliverance and change

We need to bring in some good news at this point. Yes, we know there are many routes into homosexuality, which we might define as an inability as an adult to relate emotionally and sexually to a person of the opposite sex.

Homosexual activity is sinful. Nevertheless, it is not an unforgiveable sin. Jesus Christ went to the cross so that all sinners might be forgiven. Furthermnore, the indwelling Holy Spirit, there for every believer, can heal and deliver.

So however someone became gay, they do not have to stay gay. There is a way out. Christ’s shed blood wipes away the stain of sin and releases believers from the power of sin.

It is do-able. Many men and women have walked away from homosexuality after realising that it was never God’s plan for their lives.

Why are the godless bothered?

Why is anyone who is not a Christian bothered about whether Christians believe homosexual activity is sinful in the eyes of God? To put it another way, why are we ‘dangerous and offensive, as Tim Farron suggests?

I suggest it may be because:

1 They are deeply intolerant of any view but their own,
2 They are totalitarian, wanting to impose their views on others,
3 Maybe they are worried God might exist and be right,
4 They know deep down what they (or homosexuals) are doing is wrong,
5 We challenge and disturb their cosy world,
6 The thought there is one higher than them to whom they are responsible annoys and terrifies them,
7 Because from sodomy being a sin to sodomy being a crime is just one theonomic step away.

Nevertheless, no atheist should be at all concerned that I and however many others think buggery and gross indecency should be re-criminalised and recent laws repealed in this respect. We are a long way from the corridors of power.

The traffic is all in the opposite direction. Children are being taught that sodomy is just great and the Government even want to increase the propaganda level. The Government want people to be able to change their God-given gender at will.

Rubbish chute of history

I, and our wonderful Christian Voice members, are just a voice crying in the wilderness, calling for national repentance, urging Christian to pray, and pointing out that every previous society which has passed this way has gone down the rubbish chute of history.

Moreover, every previous civilisation which allowed its family base to crumble and institutionalised sodomy has been conquered by a stronger, self-confident, monogamous culture.

Now, where would we look for one of those on our doorstep today?

Revoke Prince George Gay Prayer!

Provost Kelvin Holdsworth prayed for Prince George to be homosexual.

A renegade Scottish churchman has prayed for little Prince George to turn out homosexual.

We must come against this prayer in the power of the Holy Spirit. The people of God shall revoke the curse of the evil prayer by words of peace and righteousness and praying good for the young third-in-line to the throne.

Year-old blog post

The Very Reverend Kelvin Holdsworth wrote a blog post last year urging people to pray Prince George ‘to be blessed one day with the love of a fine young gentleman.’ Mr Holdsworth is provost of St Mary’s Cathedral in Glasgow. He is from the Scottish Episcopal Church, which voted to allow gay couples to gay-marry earlier this year. The BBC reported the story here.

Same-sex marriages in Anglican churches are banned in England and in Wales

In his blog post, Mr Holdsworth said that if Prince William’s four-year-old son married another man in the future it would help the Church of England become more inclusive.

‘A royal wedding might sort things out remarkably easily though we might have to wait 25 years for that to happen,’ he wrote.

‘Who knows whether that might be sooner than things might work out by other means?’

Royal wedding hijacked

Provost Holdsworth hijacked the wedding of Prince Harry & Meghan Markle

He tweeted the post again following the news of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s engagement.

‘This quote seems to be getting a lot of attention because it was picked up by a number of anti-gay campaigners in the Church of England,’ he said.

‘It is a shame that the happy news about the royal wedding has been hijacked in this way.’

(Which is a strange comment from one who hijacked it in the first place by retweeting a year-old post to make a pro-sodomy political point at the expense of Prince George off the back of Harry and Meghan’s forthcoming wedding.)

‘Unkind and destructive’

Gavin Ashenden, a former chaplain to the Queen and a Christian Episcopal Church missionary bishop, said the comments were not Christian.

‘To use prayer as a mechanism for wishing this on Prince George is an unkind and destructive thing to do,’ he told the BBC. It doesn’t have the prince’s best interests at heart, but uses him as a gender-political football to please 1.7% of the population.

‘What is especially odd and incongruous is the fact that it is suddenly OK to pray for someone to be gay, but totally unacceptable to pray for them to be free from being gay and to resume a sexuality that was in tune with their biology.

‘This seems not only contradictory but hypocritical.’

According to the Independent, Mr Ashenden told Christian Today: ‘It is an unkind and destabilising prayer. It is the theological equivalent of the curse of the wicked fairy in one of the fairy tales.

‘To co-opt the Royal children to service a narrow sexual agenda seems particularly tasteless.’

Bishop less than impressed

Susie Leafe, the director of the conservative evangelical group Reform, was also critical of Mr Holdsworth’s blog about Prince George. ‘I was very disappointed that he was prepared to bring a child in to this same-sex marriage debate,’ she told the BBC.

‘As a Christian minister he should pray for all people to come to know the love of Christ, rather than a fine young gentleman.’

Rt Rev Dr Gregor Duncan, Bishop of Glasgow and Galloway, indicated he was not at all pleased. He said: ‘The comments made by Provost Holdsworth were made on his personal blog.

‘As his blog indicates, the views expressed there are his personal ones.

‘They do not represent an official view of the Scottish Episcopal Church nor are they ones with which I would concur. I will be discussing this matter with Provost Holdsworth.’

Reality of homosexuality

The cover of King & King, a campaigning book for school sex education designed to groom children into accepting homosexuality as normal. Parents should be on their guard.

Gay activists maintain, contrary to the scientific evidence, that people are ‘born gay.’ They say it is impossible to change sexuality. If they are right, it is already determined whether Prince George is ‘straight’ or ‘gay’. The renegade provost would be praying for something which has already happened – or rather, not happened.

Some of us will acknowledge one can pray after the event, not knowing the outcome. The theology of that says the Lord knows we shall pray before we actually do, and he plainly has the capacity to change events according to the imminent prayer.

But the reality is that a combination of factors come into play in human development. As children grow up, many factors influence their young lives. Mothers have a role in leading their children to grow up normally.

It is especially important for fathers to affirm their sons in their maleness and their daughters in their femininity. Parents must also ‘recruit-proof’ their children by safeguarding them from predatory males – and some females – in the outside world.

Parents should also be on their guard for materials in school sex education designed to groom children into acceptance of homosexuality. The campaigning book ‘King and king’ is particularly pertinent here.

Identification with the aggressor

Tragically, many boys who would have grown up normally ended up in children’s homes in the recent past. There, firstly, pederast homosexuals got hold of them. Secondly, the boys identified with the aggressor. Look up ‘Stockholm Syndrome’. Thirdly, they grew up homosexual themselves, with the desire to repeat the pattern.

The inbuilt self-limitation of homosexuality is why gay men in particular have so many sexual partners. They are searching for affirmative maleness, but now sexualising it. They become involved in increasingly depraved sexual practice as they become immersed in the network. And, sorry Provost, but homosexual life is filled with more dirty boys than ‘fine young gentlemen’. That’s just the way it is. They are looking for what does not exist, a real man who will love a homosexual. And they are pressing a part of the anatomy perfectly designed for the extraction of water from bodily waste into a use our gracious Maker never intended.

Ex-gays in Corinth

But the good news is however anyone became gay they do not have to stay gay. Jesus Christ saves the lost, forgives their sin and transforms their lives. Christ can heal the underlying pathologies which arrested normal development. People, men and women, have walked away from the homosexual life and homosexual desires. Scripture says:

1Cor 6:9 Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind,
10 Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God. 11 And such were some of you: but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God.

Yes, there were ex-gays in the Corinthian church. But they were washed clean, sanctified and justified by the Holy Spirit in the name of Jesus. Recognise also that the practice and thoughts of homosexuality can lay a person open to spiritual oppression. For some, healing may not be enough. Deliverance could be in order.

Prayer Warfare

Christian Voice members know how seldom we comment on matters to do with the church. As in ‘Never’. There are enough targets for prayer in government, commerce and the judiciary. So we shall not cast more aspersions than we have on Provost Holdsworth. The Lord knows his eternal destiny. Those leaving comments please respect this position as well. But firstly, his subject-matter has allowed us to set out the context. Secondly, we urgently need to invite the Lord’s people into a campaign of prayer warfare over this issue. Thirdly, we have been able to praise Rev Gavin Ashenden and the Bishop of Glasgow. They have made clear a prayer such as that of the Provost has no place in the Christian faith.

We should be comforted by these scriptures, from the book of Proverbs:

Proverbs 15:8 The sacrifice of the wicked is an abomination to the LORD: but the prayer of the upright is his delight. … 29 The LORD is far from the wicked: but he heareth the prayer of the righteous.
Prov 28:9 He that turneth away his ear from hearing the law, even his prayer shall be abomination.
Prov 26:2 As the bird by wandering, as the swallow by flying, so the curse causeless shall not come.

Pushing at a open door

Equally, the Provost’s prayer, even as a wicked incantation, has undoubtedly set in motion something evil in the spiritual realm. However, in countering it, let us realise we are pushing at an open door. Twice in the last century the Lord took a bad man out of the way and placed a man of God upon the throne of England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland. Both King George V and King George VI had elder brothers quite unsuited to leading this United Kingdom through a time of war. God took Prince Albert by pneumonia. Edward VIII renounced the throne for the love of divorced Mrs Wallis Simpson.

Moreover, very recently, the wedding of William and Kate set the Parliamentary feminists in a spin. What if their first-born was a girl and a son came second? He would take precedence over her under the ancient rules of primogeniture. That, said the feminists, was unfair. Nick Clegg MP, the Deputy Prime Minister, introduced a ‘Succession to the Crown’ Bill. It changed the rule that the eldest son of a monarch would succeed to the throne. The Bill became an Act of Parliament on 25th April 2013. From that date, the eldest royal child would be next in line, male or female.

So we believe the hand of God is already on this princely child. The Lord will ensure George grows up normally. There will be no undue influences upon him.

God knows parents are raising all children today against a background of pro-sodomy state dogma.

Nevertheless, pray the Lord will safeguard George as his father affirms his masculinity in his formative years.

Prince George will progress into true manhood, in Jesus’s name.

Australia has voted for 'gay marriage' and gay activists are delighted. This march took place in Melbourne

Australia has voted overwhelmingly in favour of legalising same-sex marriage, reports the BBC.

The Australian Bureau of Statistics said 61.6% of people were in favour allowing same-sex couples to counterfeit marriage. 79.5% of voters took part in the non-binding postal vote.

Jubilant supporters celebrated in public spaces, waving rainbow flags and singing and dancing.

Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull said his government would aim to pass legislation in parliament by Christmas.

‘[Australians] have spoken in their millions and they have voted overwhelmingly yes for marriage equality,’ Mr Turnbull said after the result was announced.

‘They voted yes for fairness, yes for commitment, yes for love.’

God’s first social institution

The word of God describes marriage as God’s first social institution:

Genesis 2:23 And Adam said, This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man. 24 Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh.

Moreover, those words were reinforced by the Lord Jesus himself:

Mark10:6 But from the beginning of the creation God made them male and female. 7 For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and cleave to his wife; 8 And they twain shall be one flesh: so then they are no more twain, but one flesh.

Becoming ‘one flesh’ in the full emotional, spiritual and physical sense is something a pair of gays, or two women, cannot do. A pair of homosexuals can never engage in the defining act of marriage. So they engage in a variety of confected quasi-sexual activities, all of which are condemned in scripture:

Lev 18:22 Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination.

So, despite what Mr Turnbull says, homosexals won’t have equality or fairness. Nature itself is against them. It won’t be committment, because their relationships are inherently transient. As for love, people – brothers, a father and son, comrades in arms – can love each other without feeling the need to press the part of the body perfectly designed for the extraction of water from bodily waste into a use our gracious Maker never intended.

How gender is taught in schools

Felix Ngole was expelled for calling gay ‘marriage’ a sin on Facebook and an English court upheld it.

Australia’s No campaign put the focus on the definition of family. They also raised concerns about how issues like gender will be taught in schools.

Their concerns are well founded. England and Wales allowed homosexuals to get gay-married in 2013 under David Cameron’s Marriage (Same Sex Couples) Act. Theresa May described the measure recently as one of her greatest achievements. Scotland followed in 2014. Only Northern Ireland holds out against the tide of sodomy.

Consequently, since 2013, students and local authority workers have been harassed by the authorities for expressing traditionalist, Christian views. Many have been thrown off courses or lost their jobs.

In addition, the earlier Equality Act 2010 laid a duty on public authorities to advance homosexuality and transgenderism. A public authority is anything from a fire brigade to a hospital to a government department to a school.

Taken together, the UK’s Equality Act and Britain’s ‘gay marriage’ Act have given the green light to activist head teachers and Stonewall’s gay activists to groom schoolchildren into positive views of a lifestyle characterised by disease, degradation and early death. The Apostle Paul wrote to the church in Rome:

Sex and Culture

In his book Sex and Culture, anthropologist J.D. Unwin, warned that loose sexual mores would lead to cultural decline in the West.

The website EthikaPolitika says: ‘After a careful evaluation a variety of civilizations—including the Romans, Greeks, Sumerians, Moors, Babylonians, and Anglo-Saxons—a clear pattern emerged for Unwin: a perfect correlation between sexual fidelity and civilizational flourishing.

‘Though each civilization’s success correlated with strict sexual ethics, attitudes toward sex became increasingly liberalized and loosened. The consequences of the myth that sexual activity and its impacts could be confined to the private sphere soon became apparent. Premarital, extramarital and homosexual relationships proliferated and individuals began placing their individual desires over the common good. An increase in promiscuity corresponded to a subsequent decrease in the social energy required for civilizational maintenance and innovation. Ultimately, each civilization became less cohesive, less aggressive, and less resolute.’

Unwin said: ‘These societies lived in different geographical environments; they belonged to different racial stocks; but the history of their marriage customs is the same. In the beginning each society had the same ideas in regard to sexual regulations. Then the same struggles took place, the same sentiments were expressed, the same changes were made, the same results ensued. Each society reduced its sexual opportunity to a minimum and displaying great social energy, flourished greatly. Then it extended its sexual opportunity; its energy decreased, and faded away. The one outstanding feature of the whole story is its unrelieved monotony.’

Where ‘gay marriage’ is legal

Australia has joined not just Great Britain, but Argentina, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, Colombia, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Iceland, Ireland, Luxembourg, Malta, Mexico, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Portugal, South Africa, Spain, Sweden, some states of the United States and Uruguay.

Russia and Eastern Europe, Africa, apart from South Africa, and Asia, apart from Taiwan, are holding out.

Furthermore, many of those nations make the commission of unnatural acts a criminal offence.

Those countries which have legalised what Almighty God describes as an abomination, and then devalued God’s institution of marriage, are heading for judgment and disaster.

Unwin concluded: ‘Civilizations in this liminal phase then collapsed from either 1) an internal anarchic revolution, or 2) conquest by invaders with greater social energy.’

Now who could those ‘invaders with greater social energy’ be in Europe, Australia and the Western world in the twenty-first century?

Only hope is in repentance

There is however hope for each individual homosexual, as scripture speaks of them, and many other sinners, finding forgivness and release from the power of sin:

Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind, 10 Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God. 11 And such were some of you: but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God.

Moreover, there is hope for Australia, Britain and the rest of the decadent West, but only if Christian men will rise up and proclaim the crown rights of King Jesus, calling for and praying for national repentance. National Trust goes gay with 6-colour homosexual rainbow badges and lanyards.

The National Trust is in a row over the promotion of homosexuality after volunteers refused to wear homosexual equality symbols.

The National Trust is Britain’s leading conservation charity. It exists, according to its most recent Annual Report, to protect ‘the nation’s heritage and open spaces … for everyone to enjoy’. It operates in England, Wales and Northern Ireland. There is a separate National Trust for Scotland.

According to the BBC, the National Trust required staff and volunteers at Felbrigg Hall, a stately home in Norfolk, to wear rainbow badges and lanyards in support of a campaign to promote homosexuality.

Annabel Smith, the Trust’s head of volunteering and participation development, said ‘Whilst volunteering for the National Trust we do request and expect individuals to uphold the values of the organisation.’

But of course, the promotion of homosexuality does not appear in the aims or values of the National Trust.

Dissenting volunteers

By Friday, over 30 (and possibly as many as 75, depending where you read) of 350 volunteers refused to be part of the stunt.

Initially, National Trust management offered them duties away from the public gaze. Non-rainbowed staff would be an embarrassment. Its director general, Dame Helen Ghosh, said anyone who did not agree with the campaign was ‘free to step back from the volunteer role or take a different role for the duration’. Who said Victorian-style labour relations were dead?

But Lucy Pasha-Robinson writes in the Independent that 240 National Trust members revoked their membership over the weekend in disgust. Meanwhile, the volunteers went to the newspapers. They accused the Trust of encroaching on their political freedoms. The Trust began to get rattled.

Dame Helen was left humiliated as a National Trust official later issued a statement on Saturday. Now they were ‘making it clear to volunteers that the wearing of the badge is optional and a personal decision’.

Previous owner ‘outed’ as homosexual

Professor Richard Sandell has been promoting LGBT issues for twenty years.

One Robert Wyndham Ketton-Cremer owned Felbrigg Hall. The distinguished historian and author left his ancestral home to the National Trust when he died in 1969.

But as part of its pro-sodomy campaign – it actually has a special page for it – the National Trust latched onto rumours that Lord Ketton-Cremer was homosexual. It commissioned Professor Richard Sandell from the University of Leicester to dig up any dirt he could find.

In true gutter journalism style, Sandell trawled the local area for anyone prepared to say Ketton-Cremer’s sexuality was an ‘open secret’. He pored over his poems and books about acquaintances to try to find code words and possible euphemisms. But he failed to find anyone to say his subject engaged in any same-sex activity with anyone.

The Trust then hired the King of Crass, Stephen Fry, to voice a video. In the frankly tedious film, Fry states Ketton-Cremer ‘defied the conventions of his day’. Actually, he didn’t. He lived exactly as a bachelor of those days would do.

National Trust ‘hurtful’

The film appalled Ketton-Cramer’s nephew and niece. Ted Coryton and Katie Spencer are demanding to know what proof the Trust has that their uncle and godfather, known to them as ‘Bun’, was homosexual. Moreover, even if he was, what right did the National Trust have to ‘out’ someone who chose to keep his sexuality secret? The squire died two years after sodomy in private was decriminalised in 1967.

‘It is simply so hurtful,’ Mrs Spencer, 78, told the Daily Telegraph: ‘It is outrageous and totally unnecessary. The National Trust has done this to get publicity to get people to visit the hall and make money. I personally didn’t think there was any suggestion he was gay. The first I heard was when I was shown the article in the Telegraph about the Trust’s film. I would like to know what proof they actually have. I think Bun would have felt betrayed by the National Trust. He was a fascinating man, a brilliant historian and biographer. That was how he would want to be remembered. His sexuality was a private matter and should remain so.’

The siblings, from Cornwall, share the late Ketton-Cremer with another godson, Tristram Powell, from London. All believe the move represents a betrayal. Moreover, they argue it could have serious implications for future legacies to the Trust. They have a point. Who is going to leave property to the National Trust knowing its officials are prepared to seek and publicise salacious gossip about you years later?

Virtue signalling

The Trust’s pro-sodomy campaign does not end here. The National Trust has also signed up the BBC’s token sports lesbian, Clare Balding.

Miss Balding will do a series of podcasts on homosexually-themed National Trust properties. There turn out to be very few, by the way. And of course, this is not a serious attempt at increasing its membership among the 1% of the population who are sadly homosexual. If they like old houses, they will join the Trust’s four million other members anyway. No, the Trust is instead engaging in a perverted form of ‘virtue-signalling’ while blundering into the minefield of social engineering.

Indeed, Mr Fry said: ‘Some have asked why Prejudice and Pride is necessary – why the lives of people who challenged conventional ideas of gender and sexuality should be made public and celebrated in this way. The answer is quite simple – to do anything less is to suggest that same-sex love and gender diversity is somehow wrong, and keeping these stories hidden only lets prejudice – past and present – go unchallenged.’

Once again, Lord Ketton-Cremer did not ‘challenge conventional ideas of gender and sexuality’. Moreover, some 40& of the population still believe gay sex is wrong, after all the years of pro-sodomy propaganda. And we can venture the figure will be higher among National Trust members.

Professor Sandell added: ‘We have equality in many areas of the law but there is a need to build greater public understanding.’ I was right. It’s virtue-signalling and propaganda rolled into one.

Condescension

This is not the first controversy at the National Trust under Dame Helen’s tenure, says the Guardian. During her leadership, the Trust found itself drawn into debates about fracking and windfarms. The Trust quite likes the former, but is snooty about the latter. And earlier this year our members will recall it replaced the word ‘Easter’ by ‘Cadbury’ in publicity for its egg hunt.

Rachel Cooke, also in the Guardian, writes: ‘There is a growing sense in some quarters that the Trust is distracted from its main purpose – conservation – and that in its determination to be inclusive, it is, for want of a better description, dumbing down.’

Miss Cooke also has some acerbic observations on the Trust’s acquisition of land and on Dame Helen Ghosh, with whom she secured an interview. Dame Helen is a retired civil servant. The National Trust pays her £183,960 as its director general.

But Miss Cooke says: ‘Her manner is – how to put this? – edged with condescension. Five minutes into our conversation, she tells me about her first-class history degree from Oxford, as if this alone should settle my mind in her favour. … She talks loudly of the importance of listening to other views without ever really giving the impression that she is doing so.’

And now Dame Helen is returning to her alma mater. She gained a first in history, you know. She will leave her job at the National Trust in March 2018 to become the first woman master of Balliol College, Oxford. She is taking an obvious career step.

National Trust members and volunteers will be eager to attend its Annual General Meeting in Swindon on 21st October 2017. Will this topic come up? What will Dame Helen condescend to say to the backward member masses? Will her replacement will be as eager to force gayness down everyone’s throats? Is the National Trust going to continue alienating the public with repellent virtue-signalling? Will it return to its core business of protecting the nation’s heritage and open spaces for everyone to enjoy – not just the intellectual elite? When are the next elections to the National Trust’s Council?

BBC unwatchable on Gay Jubilee

Today is the fiftieth anniversary of the legalisation of sodomy. Consequently, the BBC will be unwatchable and unlistenable for a week at least.

Especially today, all BBC channels will be awash with ‘Gay Britania’. It is exactly fifty years since the enactment of the Sexual Offences Act 1967.

BBC reflecting the Establishment

One can argue the BBC is simply reflecting the Establishment. It is impossible to be a candidate for Labour, the LibDems or the Tories without being a ‘Diversity’ wonk. Plaid Cymru, SNP and Sinn Fein are almost as bad. And anyone Christian or just pro-family in government needs to keep his views to himself.

Moreover, in the broadcast media, Sky, ITV and Channel 4 news will no doubt be promoting what they will see as a joyous day. It is always interesting to discern between what is news and what is the advancement of the Establishment agenda. This author reckons BBC ‘news’ is usually 50% propaganda.

Nevertheless, TV viewers have a choice. RT (Freeview 135) ought to be free of homosexual promotion while Yesterday (19) and TBN (65) should be gay-free zones.

Never satisfied

The homosexual mindset is never satisfied. Neither with life as a whole, nor with sexual expression, nor indeed with political gains. It was never enough just to be left alone to do whatever they were going to do in private. As it happens, we all now know rather more than we ever wanted to about what homosexuals do in private. That is largely owing to the AIDS crisis, forcing gay charities like Terrence Higgins Trust to list homosexual activities in order of health risk.

So in 2004 Tony Blair enacted Civil Partnerships. The BBC celebrating that event with footage of happy couples. Nevertheless, civil partnerships were not good enough. Equally, gay politics had moved out of its Labour redoubt. Therefore, a Conservative Party Prime Minister, David Cameron, inflicted same-sex ‘marriage’ on the nation in 2013. More celebratory BBC footage, this time of gays getting gay-married.

And now the elite are moving on again. They want to allow anyone, for any reason or none, to change his gender at will. The Government have announced a new ‘Gender Recognition Bill’ for the autumn. Our story on that is here.

Homosexuality … universally condemned

How did it come to this? Was such a degradation of society in the minds of those who framed the Sexual Offences Act? Not at all. The 1967 Act was ‘permissive’ legislation. That does not mean it was part of the ‘permissive society’, although of course it was. It means it permitted something still illegal to happen in certain circumstances. The Abortion Act of the same year is another example of ‘permissive’ legislation.

So the Sexual Offences Act allowed acts of sodomy and gross indecency to take place in England and Wales between two consenting adults (aged 21 or over) in private. It was a Private Member’s Bill, brought in by Leo Abse MP, at the instigation of Antony Grey of the Albany Trust and the Homosexual Law Reform Society.

In the debates on the 1967 Sexual Offences Bill, MPs and Peers made clear Parliament was refusing to do anything more than permit homosexual acts in certain circumstances. This was emphasised again and again by, for example, Lord Arran, who said:

‘In all the discussions we have had, and in all the speeches, no single noble Lord or noble Lady has ever said that homosexuality is right or a good thing. It has been universally condemned from start to finish, and by every single member of the House.’

First Gay Pride March in 1972

Strangely enough, under a Christian legal system, there would be no need for the Sexual Offences Act. The Bible requires at least two witnesses before a court can convict anyone of a crime:

Deuteronomy 19:15 One witness shall not rise up against a man for any iniquity, or for any sin, in any sin that he sinneth: at the mouth of two witnesses, or at the mouth of three witnesses, shall the matter be established.

If two men were doing something indecent in private there would be no witnesses. Accordingly, there could be no prosecution.

But the sentiments of their Lordships, no doubt well-intended, were to fall on deaf ears. Homosexuality would not now stay private. Activists held the first ever gay pride march in London five years later in 1972. Veteran campaigner Peter Tatchell was on it. He gives a valuable Gay Liberation Front insider’s view here.

Eschew ostentatious behaviour and flaunting

In a later House of Lords debate, one Lord Henderson slightly misquoted the Earl of Arran. In 1967, said Henderson, Lord Arran ‘asked the homosexual people of the future to comport themselves quietly and with dignity and to eschew any form of ostentatious behaviour or public flouting.’ Lord Arran actually used the word ‘flaunting.’ He said any evidence of it would ‘make the sponsors of this Bill regret that they have done what they have done.’

One homosexual activist, John Marshall, summed up the arguments of the Bill’s supporters like this:

‘The protection afforded by the Sexual Offences Bill, particularly for young people, was stressed repeatedly; homosexuality was a lesser evil than the blackmail which its prohibition encouraged; relaxing the law would make it easier for homosexuals who wished to be free of their practices to seek help from the caring ministries.’

The Sexual Offences Act 1967 was extended to Scotland in 1980 and to Northern Ireland in 1982. The latter happened after a European Court ruling and despite a campaign led by the late Dr Ian Paisley MP to ‘Save Ulster from Sodomy.’

Homosexual lobby group founded

Even twenty-one years after the Sexual Offences Act, in 1988, homosexual activity was still viewed with distaste. That was the year of Section 28, which banned promotion of homosexuality in the classroom.

Section 28 and its description of homosexual couples as being in a ‘pretended family’ energised gay activists. They founded the Stonewall lobby group in 1989.

Five years later, under John Major, Parliament lowered the minimum age in the Sexual Offences Act to eighteen. The Criminal Justice and Public Order Act 1994 also permitted buggery on women.

The Christian Voice group was founded in the same year to inform Christians so they could pray into such matters and take action. But a tidal wave was approaching.

In 1998 activist MPs voted to lower the homosexual age again, this time to sixteen. The House of Lords objected. Undaunted, Prime Minister Tony Blair used the Parliament Act. Accordingly, in 2000 homosexual men gained legal access to sixteen-year-old boys. In 2003, his administration repealed Section 28. The Scottish Parliament repealed its equivalent in 2000.

In 2003, Parliament allowed homosexuals to adopt children. The following year saw civil partnerships. Also in 2004 Parliament legislated a lie. They passed the Gender Recognition Act. That allowed someone to go back and falsify his birth certificate if a doctor agreed he was a woman – or if a woman thought she was really a man.

Like a flood

Tony Blair used the Parliament Act to force the House of Lords to lower the minimum age for sodomy to sixteen. He also introduced civil partnerships. That would never be enough.

Gay-promoting legislation was now coming in like a flood. In 2007 we had the Sexual Orientation Regulations, forcing Christian B&B owners to offer beds to homosexual couples. In 2008 Parliament abolished the offence of blasphemy and passed their own blasphemy law, a ‘gay hate speech’ law.

2009 saw the Equality Act placing a duty on public authorities to promote sodomy and transgenderism. And then David Cameron forced through the Marriage (Same-Sex Couples) Act 2013.

It is difficult to promote homosexuality politically any more. The activists have achieved virtually everything. Accordingly, the BBC is simply leading today’s celebrations. Of course, reparative therapy offering people a progression out of same-sex attraction is still a target, because the idea there could be something wrong with being homosexual is anathema to the ungodly. Additionally, it is true there are still grumblings in society. For example, many parents still do not want teachers promoting homosexuality to their children. And the Independent says today that 42% of people in Britain still think homosexual activity is unnatural. Curiously, 59% of Brexit voters said gay sex was unnatural, compared to a quarter of Remain voters. (And if you want to know which countries in the world say sodomy is unacceptable, click here!)

But one UK institution in particular remains a thorn in the activists’ collective side. The stronger elements of Christianity are still holding out. Homosexuals demand full acceptance from the church. Tolerance is not enough. So our openly-lesbian Education Secretary has demanded churches offer ceremonies for people getting gay-married. According to the Daily Mirror, Justine Greening said: ‘I think it is important that the church in a way keeps up.’

Lift up a standard

The Bible shows God Almighty does not ‘keep up’ with wickedness. In contrast, the Prophet of God says:

Isaiah 59:19 So shall they fear the name of the LORD from the west, and his glory from the rising of the sun. When the enemy shall come in like a flood, the Spirit of the LORD shall lift up a standard against him.

And on this day of shame, this satanic jubilee, good Lord, that is what your Church is praying for. For men of God to be filled with the Holy Spirit, to lift up the Lord’s standard and press the Crown Rights of King Jesus!

Change gender ‘at will’

The Independent reports: ‘Under plans being considered by ministers, adults will be able to change their birth certificates at will without a doctor’s diagnosis, while non-binary gender people will be able to record their gender as “X”.’

The paper says: ‘Changes to the law will be consulted on and will ultimately be included in a planned Gender Recognition Bill, set to be published in the autumn.’

In stark contrast, just before we went to press, President Trump announced a ban on transgender personnel in the US military, citing ‘the need to focus on victory’, the Washington Post reported.

And then, according to RT, in true ‘couldn’t make it up mode’, Rear Admiral Alex Burton, commander UK Maritime Forces, tweeted: ‘As a Royal Navy LGBT champion and senior warfighter I am so glad we are not going this way.’ As one of those you would be glad, Admiral. But as a husband and father you should know better.

‘This is a choice’

Education and Equalities Secretary Justine Greening announced the move as MPs set off for their summer recess last Friday. Just days before, Jeremy Corbyn urged the Conservatives to allow people to ‘self-identify’. The fiftieth anniversary of legalising sodomy also appears to have influenced the timing. The Queen gave her Royal Assent to the Sexual Offences Act on 27th July 1967.

The Labour manifesto included plans for self-identification. The Conservatives’ did not. Nor did June’s Queen’s Speech include a Gender Recognition Bill. It is safe to say that had the Tories included such a divisive measure they would have lost the election.

According to RT, Miss Greening ‘told Sky News on Sunday the state needs to “stop treating people changing their gender as if it’s some medical problem that needs fixing. Actually this is a choice that people are making and we need to try and make that choice more straightforward than it already is.”’

Suzanna Hopwood, a member of the sodomy advocacy group Stonewall’s Trans Advisory Group, agrees. ‘It is “vital” the reform removes the requirement for medical evidence and an intrusive interview panel,’ she said. Miss Hopwood went on to describe the current system as ‘demeaning and broken.’ (‘Broken’ is a fashionable word with which to criticise Government policy or a state department’s handling of something.)

‘Still a long way to go’

A follow-up article in the Indy shows Prime Minister Theresa May as wholly supportive. She said “when it comes to rights and protections for trans people, there is still a long way to go”. Her predecessor, David Cameron, rode ‘gay marriage’ roughshod over his party’s opposition. He even boasted about it in his resignation speech

But Tory activist Mary Douglas of Grassroots Conservatives strongly disagreed. Speaking on Radio 4’s Today programme, she said she was ‘very concerned’ about the move. ‘In my view it should not be easy to do something as massive as change your gender,’ she said. ‘And the law is there to protect us, normally from other people, but also sometimes from ourselves. I think many people have profound concerns about this.’

She went on: ‘It is profoundly unconservative. Conservative with a big C and small C implies continuity with what has gone before.’ She was asked if Miss Greenings’ own self-declared homosexuality had anything to do with the announcement. Mrs Douglas replied: ‘It’s a possibility.’ She continued: ‘But I’m not going to suggest anything I don’t know. I don’t know Justine personally at all but the bigger issue here is not who is … considering introducing this policy, but the implications of the policy itself.’

‘They are deeply troubled’

The liberal Huffington Post reports activists were up in arms about further comments from Mrs Douglas. They took particular exception to her suggestion that those with gender dysphoria have mental or emotional problems.

Mrs Douglas asked: ‘If somebody thinks they have a mismatch between how they think and the way their body is, the question is: which should be changed?’

Answering her own question, she said: ‘What’s interesting is that many people who have gender dysphoria also have other mental health conditions like depression or drug addiction. They are deeply troubled and it has been proven that when they change their gender, that doesn’t solve those issues.’

Activists called her ‘rude’, ‘bigoted’, insensitive’, ‘old-fashioned’ and even ‘disgraceful.’ Crucially, no-one appears to have put together a coherent response to show she was wrong.

The practicalities

We need to be very clear about why Christians need to oppose this measure. Just at a practical level, it means that anyone can just decide to be the opposite gender to the one they were born with. They will need no evidence. Just their word will do. In no other area would we accept someone’s word against scientific evidence. The evidence here is that of simple genetics.

The proposal is a voyeurs’ charter, allowing men to visit ladies’ toilets and dressing rooms. They will also absurdly be able to compete in athletics events this time against proper women. We could be seeing the beginning of the end of women’s sport. Sadly, in today’s post-truth world, being ridiculous will not stop this preposterous measure being enacted.

Additionally, the move will give a further push to the already-rolling transgender bandwagon. More children will start deciding they are ‘in the wrong body’. Shockingly, teachers and social workers have been encouraging such children. Doctors too are prescribing powerful hormones to adolescent children to delay or block the onset of puberty. Medicine is intended to cure. Puberty blockers harm. Sadly, medicine is not free of charlatans. Surgeons too are ready to mutilate people’s God-given bodies into what they think they should be. Some, as Mrs Douglas implied, will regret it.

Adults are meant to safeguard children from bad decisions. But instead, authority figures are taking vicarious delight in these wrong-headed childish decisions. They are perpetrating child abuse. Some school or local authority, in a few years’ time, is going to be sued.

Rebellion against God’s creation

Moreover, at a theological level, we need to recognise that transgenderism is far worse than sodomy, even than ‘gay marriage’. Homosexuality rebels against God’s institution of the family.

The Bible records this moment in Genesis chapter 2:

Gen 2:23 And Adam said, This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man. 24 Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh.

However, transsexuals and transgender apologists are in rebellion against creation itself. If we go back a chapter in Genesis, we find the chromosonal reality of the division of the sexes as an expression of God’s very image:

Gen 1:27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.

God decides your gender, not you. Our generation wants to spit in the face of God. The church has to stand firm and proclaim the whole Gospel.

The economic and security dimension

This brings us to the economic and security dimension. When the UK voted to leave the European Union, all sides agreed our Parliament could now pass our own laws. The EU would not allow the UK that freedom. We expressed a hope that the UK would now repent and start to enact godly laws.

Allowing self-determined gender choice was not and never will be in a list of godly laws.

Accordingly, by enacting a measure in sheer defiance of God’s righteousness, our legislators are bringing even more of God’s judgment on us.

Furthermore, with Brexit negotiations going on and Islamic extremists stalking the streets, we need all the economic and security blessings – and all the wisdom – the Almighty can bestow.

Make no mistake, if our nation is doing well, we shall all be doing well. Moreover, Christian people want the best for those sad individuals caught up in gender dysphoria, for the nation’s children and for the country of which we are a temporal part. God’s words to the captives in Babylon still ring true:

Jeremiah 29:7 And seek the peace of the city whither I have caused you to be carried away captives, and pray unto the LORD for it: for in the peace thereof shall ye have peace.

Topshop being more progressive than thou at London Gay Pride this weekend.

Businesses and politicians fell over each other to support the London Gay Pride parade at the weekend.

The BBC reported: ‘With almost 50 official partners, ranging from airlines to mobile networks, and a list of over 60 supporters, companies are signing up to try to stamp out prejudice.’

Well, no, they are not trying to ‘stamp out prejudice’, BBC, they are simply trying to sell product. To do that, a bit of good old ‘virtue signalling’ will do the trick.

The inverted commas indicate that we have come to a strange place when supporting a group defined by vice is ‘virtue signalling’ in the first place. But clothing retailers such as Topshop are definitely adopting a ‘more progressive than thou’ stance.

Costa coffee also went rainbow coloured. In addition to the opportunists on the street, the ‘Pride in London’ website indeed lists around fifty corporate sponsors of one kind and another.

London Underground is a sponsor, putting the six-coloured rainbow up at Oxford Circus with a slogan: ‘#LoveisLove’. Or five minutes in the bushes on Hampstead Heath.

Barclays Bank was joint ‘headline’ sponsor with the Mayor of London.

That’s devout Muslim Mr Khan. There is obviously a time and a place for Islam in a politician’s life.

Gold sponsors include Starbucks and Tesco. Tesco seem not to have learnt the lesson of their disastrous financial calamities following their £30,000 sponsorship of the 2012 Gay Pride.

Politicians other than the mayor of London jumped on the bandwagon. The London Evening Standard gleefully reported that the Houses of Parliament were lit up in rainbow colours. Well, after a fashion.

“The rainbow illumination of Parliament is our signal of support for sodomy,” said John Bercow, the Commons Speaker. Sorry to misquote him. Actually, he said: ‘.. of support for equality’.

Moreover, the Prime Minister flew the rainbow flag over 10 Downing Street. Thersa May put every true Christian, Othodox Jew, Muslim and for that matter every decent person in the realm, firmly in their place.

From protest to fashionable

Gay Pride has moved from protest to fashionable in forty years. However, not everyone in the gay sub-culture is happy. Peter Tatchell complained in the Guardian: ‘What began in 1972 as a protest for gay rights has now morphed into a commercialised, bureaucratic and rule-bound event, which too often reflects the wishes of the city authorities, not the LGBT community.’

The veteran campaigner went on to observe ‘a mere 26,500 people will be permitted to march. This is a fraction of the number who would march if it were a free and open event’.

Many might think 26,500 is more than enough dysfunctional people parading through our capital city. But when Gay Pride becomes as much a part of the calendar as Christmas, we need to take notice and start praying very hard for our nation to repent. And keep our passports up to date just in case the mind of God is for judgment on the UK, rather than for mercy.

Meanwhile, one Jayne Ozanne, speaking at a weekend event in York, condemned so-called conversion therapy. This is where people who wish to be free of same-sex attraction seek psychiatric help. She said:

“Conversion therapy is condemned by professionals as being harmful to LGBT people as it is based on a misguided belief that being lesbian, gay, bisexual or transgender is wrong. This leads to increased mental health problems for LGBT community due to stigmatization.”

No, that’s not a ‘misguided belief’, Jayne, that is the plain teaching of scripture:

Gen 1:27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them. Gen 2:24 Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh.

Lev 18:22 Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination.

Mar 10:6 (Jesus said) But from the beginning of the creation God made them male and female. 7 For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and cleave to his wife; 8 And they twain shall be one flesh: so then they are no more twain, but one flesh.

And being ‘one flesh’, in that full wonderful God-given spiritual, emotional and physical sense, is something a pair of gays, or two lesbians, can never do. Moreover, the ‘increased mental health problems’ are from gays and lesbians knowing what they are doing is plain wrong. If it were from ‘stigmatization’, mental health problems for LGBT’s would be diminishing with greater media-driven acceptance. They aren’t. It isn’t.

An eight-month old baby has been given a Canadian health card with no gender marker. The media claim it is the first case in the world.

A health card seems to be a little like a British NHS card. It is not a registration of birth. A Canadian court will hear arguments over the latter.

The child’s mother, whom the mainstream media, such as the BBC and the Independent, ludicrously insist on calling ‘the parent’, does not want to admit her baby is either a girl or a boy.

Transgender pronoun nonsense

Therefore, the Province has issued the health card with a ‘U’ in the space for ‘sex’, which could be for ‘undetermined’ or ‘unassigned’. Essentially, this is a case of a grown-up forcing her own prejudices on an infant.

Naturally, it was left to the Daily Caller, the thinking man’s Huffington Post, to reveal the Canadian tot is actually a girl.

The BBC says: ‘Parent Kori Doty – a non-binary transgender person who identifies as neither male nor female – aims to allow the child to discover their own gender.’ She has hired a lawyer to fight to omit the child’s gender from her birth certificate.

The BBC totally goes along with the fiction and the transgender pronoun nonsense. Its website says: ‘The parent gave birth to Searyl Atli in November at a friend’s home in British Columbia. Kori Doty, who prefers to use the pronoun they, argues that a visual inspection at birth is unable to determine what gender that person will have or identify with later in life. They want to keep Searyl’s sex off all official records.’

Naturally, Searyl Atli is a ‘they’ as well.

The Independent chips in: ‘Doty claims a medical examination at birth cannot determine a child’s true gender because a baby might be intersex or grow up to identify with a gender that is different to their biological sex.

“When I was born, doctors looked at my genitals and made assumptions about who I would be, and those assignments followed me and followed my identification throughout my life,” they said. “Those assumptions were incorrect, and I ended up having to do a lot of adjustments since then”.’

Those ‘adjustments’ appear to be Kori Doty taking just enough male hormone tablets to sport a scraggy beard.

Clearly, charlatan surgeons have not yet adjusted anything ‘down below’ or in the nursing department to reflect the gender Kori thinks she is.

The Sun was not quite so bad, saying ‘its mum insists only the tot can decide what sex it wants to be’.

But the Sun signed up transgender Hayden Cross. Then the paper ridiculously called her Britain’s ‘first transgender dad’.

Daughter stands in the need of prayer

Canadian Broadcasting Corporation first ran the story about Kori Doti’s daughter. Naturally, CBC is just as politically correct. It quotes Kori Doty as saying: ‘I’m raising Searyl in in such a way that until they have the sense of self and command of vocabulary to tell me who they are, I’m recognising them as a baby and trying to give them all the love and support to be the most whole person that they can be outside of the restrictions that come with the boy box and the girl box.’

The Province of British Columbia refuses to issue Searyl a birth certificate with no gender on it. They only issued the health card so the child could access medical services.

Doty’s lawyer is one barbara findlay. That’s right, she objects to capital letters. Moreover, Ontario and Alberta are currently reviewing their policies to include a third, non-binary gender option on birth certificates. Doty herself is inevitably a member of the ‘Gender-Free ID Coalition’.

What will her daughter make of this nonsense when she is old enough to make decisions? Has her mother already cursed her with transgenderism? Or will she reject her mother’s words and her fantasy land? This daughter stands in the need of prayer.

Change coming to British Passports

Campaigners in the UK have already called for British passports to be allowed to include a third gender for people who do not identify as male or female.

The Government said earlier this year that it is reviewing rules on how gender is registered on official documents.

‘The UK already has strong laws in place to protect transgender people and we are committed to delivering further positive changes for them,’ a spokesperson said in April.

‘That is why we have committed to reviewing the Gender Recognition Act to look at ways of streamlining and de-medicalising the process for changing a person’s legal gender, as well as reviewing gender markers in official documents.’

The homosexual rebellion

The Queen enacted the Sexual Offences Act 1967 fifity years ago this month. The Act started the relentless promotion of sodomy and all things homosexual. Many of our readers might be tempted to say homosexual practice is just another sexual sin. However, it goes much further than that.

We object to all things sodomite on the grounds that homosexuality rebels against God’s natural order, that its activists clearly intended to destroy the family, that it brought appalling consequences of ill health on its practitioners and costs on the taxpayer, that those caught up in it would start recruiting the young, destroying lives along the way. Furthermore, we said the homosexual values of hedonism, crassness, self-absorption coupled with a disregard for self, others and the future would negatively impact on society as a whole. All that has come true.

But transgenderism goes back a step. It rebels against God’s created order itself:

We know about the sad condidtion of ‘intersex’, where external organs are typically at odds with internal ones. It is extremely rare, but the South African athlete Caster Semenya is one example.

She/he was born with the external manifestation of female genitalia, but with internal testes. Real women athletes understandably object to racing against the testosterone factory that is Caster. They simply cannot compete with someone awash with male hormones and built like a brick outhouse.

But we do not hear Kori Doti’s daughter has been diagnosed with intersexualism. God evidently made her, like Doti, genetically a girl. It is just Doti’s self-centred lunacy which is causing the problem.

Perversion of medicine

It is sheer idiocy for society to just go along with someone who decides his or her God-given gender is not satisfactory. Such people need psychological, emotional and indeed spiritual assistance to accept their God-given gender.

What they do not need is doctors prescribing powerful hormone drugs to stop the onset of puberty. That is child abuse. Nor do they need ‘reconstructive surgery. That is a perversion of medicine.

It is like me deciding I am Long John Silver and expecting you to fund my operation to remove my leg and buy me a parrot.

In no other area of life would we accept such a life-shattering decision to be made on the say-so of an individual. If I said someone had hit me, I should be expected to provide witnesses to prove my case in court. In other words, the court would require some evidence.

Here there is none. Indeed, any sensible society would say: ‘your own genetics witness against you.’

But we now allow an individual to play God with their own body. The UK’s Gender Recognition Act 2004 started the rot, allowing people to go back and falsify their birth certificates. Now we are at the stage of a Canadian mother imposing transgenderism on own daughter.

Welcome, again, to the post-truth world.

The singer Ariana Grande wished fans would die, according to 2014 report in the respected New York Daily News.

The paper reports: ‘While visiting a Manhattan radio station this summer (2014), the 21-year-old “Better Left Unsaid” singer should’ve left her thoughts unsaid.

‘I hope they all f—ing die’

‘“She did autographs and pics and was all smiles until she got into the elevator,” a stunned industry insider tells us. “And as soon as the doors shut she said, ‘I hope they all f—ing die.’ ”’

On 22nd May 2017, her death wish came true. IS-motivated Muslim bomber Salman Abedi took 22 innocent lives as he blew himself up at her ‘Dangerous Woman’ concert at Manchester Arena.

We ran a previous post asking why parents were actually taking their daughters (mainly) along to hear the potty-mouthed popstrel’s sexualised lyrics. A lesbian-themed launderette video still defiles her website home page.

But the new allegations must leave anyone with any sanity wondering why this young woman is still successful. If the reports are true, she despises her fan-base. Why do they turn out for her? Why do parents pay for tickets for her concerts? Don’t they even investigate her lyrics of lifestyle? A simple internet search and parents can easily explain to their children that she is nasty piece of work. Why don’t they love their children enough to do that and protect them from her influence?

The New York Times allegations are based, they say, on two separate witnesses. They are fueled by the singer’s reaction to the story. That fell far short of a denial.

According to the Daily Mail, Ariana Grande “said she had been ‘laughing out loud’ following the shock claims, in which it is said she blasted naive supporters in New York as soon as their backs were turned following a seemingly joyful encounter.”

Greedy

The Mail often runs stories which are not true, or are slanted, but here they quoted the NY Daily News and printed a copy of a tweet from the Ariana Grande twitter account. And indeed it said: ‘man some of these rumors which have been coming out about me lately have me laughing out loud – really can’t take ’em seriously’. That folks, is not a denial.

Also ‘coming out’ are reports that she charges fans $495 to have their picture taken with her. Such an amount is not out of the ordinary. But every other pop star has their picture taken with you alone. Ariana Grande has hers taken with up to six of her adoring fans together. That’s nudging three grand of dollars a shot.

New York Daily News reports: ‘Grande further dissed fans Monday by offering a $495 photo op for fans during her upcoming “Honeymoon Tour,” but stipulated that shoots are for groups of four to six people, not individuals.

‘“Really?” exclaimed one media industry tipster. “Bieber, Miley, Britney, Katy Perry all did individual pics when they sold these packages.”’

Ariana Grande says a lot about our culture

The ‘Love Manchester’ gig on Sunday 4th June should by rights be termed the ‘Exploit Manchester’. Ariana Grande is receiving exposure and virtue-signalling all in one. And making a few quid along the way, despite the charity emphasis.

But the character and nature of the centre of attention must focus attention on our civilisation. We have someone here who is crass, graceless, destructive, avaricious, self-centred, ill-mannered, foul-mouthed, indecent and got up like a prostitute. Far from telling her to repent and be saved by the blood of Jesus, the public and mainstream media fawn over Ariana Grande.

Parents encourage their daughters to watch her, to listen to her and to regard her as a role model. Then they will be surprised when their child comes out with foul language, insults them, dresses like a slag, turns lesbian or gets pregnant. Depraved, dissolute and disgusting hardly covers this culture. We are in decline, friends. We are just treading water at best, waiting for a stronger, militant people to destroy and supplant us. Now what could that militant culture be?

The Duke of Cambridge has received an award from a wealthy group calling itself the British LGBT awards.

The LGBT group designated Prince William as ‘straight ally of the year’. It appears the Prince was duped into supporting the homosexual activists’ Trojan horse of ‘anti-bullying’.

He has even appeared on the front cover of a homosexual magazine promoting the cause. Neither Prince William nor his advisors seem to have realised the anti-gay-bullying campaign is just another gay propaganda tool. The Bible says:

Proverbs 25:5 Take away the wicked from before the king, and his throne shall be established in righteousness.

Activists use anti-bullying in schools, to recruit vulnerable teenagers. Firstly they sucker schoolchildren into supporting the gay cause.

Secondly, if a child experiences any kind of homosexual attraction phase in adolescence, teachers and other authority figures encourage them to see themselves as possessing a ‘homosexual orientation’.

Nevertheless, she nauseatingly refers to Ms Garrett as ‘my ex-wifey’. Sarah Garrett gave birth to twin daughters by a sperm donor in 2007, when she was ‘with’ Ms Riley. Two women can now be named on a birth certificate. Welcome to the post-truth world.

As well as the LGBT awards, SPM also started something called ‘Alternative Parenting Week’. Naturally, the Queen made Ms Garrett a Member of the British Empire (MBE) in the 2017 New Years Honours List. We cannot be bothered to look it up, but the excuse was probably ‘Services to Diversity’. ‘Progess on Equality’ means LGBT awards not needed

In a sign of the times, the National Westminster Bank is the major sponsor of the LGBT awards. The awards become the ‘NatWest British LGBT awards’. But if that makes you want to switch banks, Barclays and HSBC are also sponsors and Lloyds was slated for an award. The Independent newspaper is ‘media sponsor’.

Sarah Garrett started up the LGBT Awards in 2015, when the Stonewall Awards closed down. Stonewall is the UK’s major sodomy-promoting pressure group. Their awards were notorious for including a ‘Bigot of the Year’ category. This author was nominated for that category but disappointingly lost out to Melanie Phillips in 2011.

Why did Stonewall end the awards? Stonewall Chief Executive Ruth Hunt cited society’s ‘progress on equality’ since the awards were first launched in 2005. So did Stonewall drop the awards and Sarah Garrett just pick up the loose ball? Did Stonewall possibly agree for Ms Garrett to take over? Or did she just muscle in? We shall probably never know.

What is safe to say is that Prince William took care to absent himself from bad company on Friday night. He sent a video recording to the sequin-attired gay glitterati.

Diving flop Tom Daley and his twice-as-old American seducer Dustin Lance Black were jointly named as ‘influencers of the year’. That award shows this ministry was right to criticise Daley after the 2016 Rio Olympics. The diver was promoting his new gay lifestyle relentlessly. By the grace of God he flopped in his final dive. We can only imagine how great an ‘influencer’ Daley would have been had he won. The BBC now refer to Black as Daley’s ‘husband’. The two seem now to be gay-married. But if Black is the ‘husband’ what does that make Daley?

Royal sanction for gay propaganda

The gay anti-bullying propaganda campaign now has royal sanction. Consequently, Pastors and parents will need to be on even greater alert. What are the schools teaching your children? You need to find out.

Meanwhile, we can only pray the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge will keep Prince George well away from the gay scene itself. But all their mixing with the ‘luvvies’ of the entertainment world at a time when the whole Establishment is promoting an anti-life lifestyle of disease, death and degradation will make that hard to do. Moreover, if his parents have totally lost their moral compass, the infant prince will be in real spiritual danger.

The triple-lock matters to pensioners - and there are almost twelve million of them.

As the political parties write their general election manifestos, one of them faces a particular challenge.

The Conservatives might think they have an unassailable lead, but they could easily snatch defeat from the jaws of victory. And that would put Brexit in peril.

NHI for the Self-Employed

Firstly., they would dearly like their manifesto to give them fiscal carte blanche. Their previous manifesto promised no rise in VAT, income tax or national health insurance (NHI) contributions. That may have been foolish, but it’s why Chancellor Philip Hammond came unstuck in March.

His March 2017 budget proposed to increase NHI for the self-employed. The Guardian found at least 18 Tory MPs prepared to vote that down. Hammond and Mrs May retreated.

But this time, if they take out the pledge, every Tory candidate will be signed up to the change. It follows they will be unable to object. But they may not have the opportunity. According to National Statistics, there are now over four and a half million self-employed in the UK. The trend shows not sign of slowing down. ONS say: ‘The level of self-employment in the UK increased from 3.8 million in 2008 to 4.6 million in 2015.’

The pensioners’ ‘triple-lock’

Secondly, the Conservatives would love to abolish the so-called ‘triple-lock’ with this general election. The coalition government began this scheme in 2010. It increases the state pension each year by inflation, the increase in average earnings or 2.5%, whichever is the highest. Maintaining the triple lock until at least 2020 was another David Cameron 2015 manifesto commitment.

Labour have already pledged to maintain the triple-lock. If the Tories take it away, they could alienate every one of the UK’s 11.8 million pensioners in one go. Nearly one million over-75s live in poverty, according to the BBC. At April 2014, the basic state pension was around £440 a year more than it would have been if it had been increased only in line with the increase in average earnings. So it matters to people. Almost 2 million pensioners may live in a household with a millionaire, but if self-interest or altruism kick in, Mrs May could be in trouble.

So that is twelve million pensioners and four-and-a-half million self-employed. Fifteen million is a huge voting block to alienate. There are just 44.7 million electors in the UK, according to ONS. You do the maths. The Tories stand to lose the votes of over a third of the electorate. And these are people who actually vote. Lose them and they lose the general election.

The Brexit dimension

The LibDems want to remain in the EU, or at least in the Single Market and Customs Union, which amounts to the same thing. Their leader, Tim Farron, is also promising a second referendum.

Labour’s shadow Brexit secretary Keir Starmer said today that his party would scrap Theresa May’s Brexit plans. Labour would unilaterally guarantee the rights of EU residents to stay before talks even start. Furthermore, he said the EU single market should be kept ‘on the table’.

Frankly, a general election yielding a Conservative majority is the only way of guaranteeing a full, proper, clean exit from the revived Roman Empire. Without putting trust in princes, Mrs May looks like she could achieve that. More EU jobs are dependent on the UK market than vice versa, but even World Trade Organisation tariffs are not actually that high across most sectors. Trade deals are good for trade, but companies manage to trade with foreign partners without them. There is no EU trade agreement with China, for example.

Pray for the General Election

We need to pray for Ben Gummer MP, the Ipswich MP in charge of writing the Conservative manifesto. Obviously he will be talking to party bigwigs, but they all need to realise what is at stake.

They may not realise that there is a massive spiritual battle going on over Brexit right now. Behind every material reality is a spiritual reality and we are aware of that.

Pray the Tories do not alienate voters by abandoning the NHI pledge and the triple-lock. The Chancellor will have to wait. The most vital matter today is Brexit. If the Conservatives mess up the election and put Brexit in jeopardy there will be massive public anger.

Easter Message

We also need to pray that Theresa May takes this opportunity to make good her Easter message. She clearly said people in public service should be able to share their faith without risk of losing their job. But they are losing their jobs. So dispel accusations of hypocrisy by making that a manifesto pledge.

She also said the UK should be standing up for Christians overseas. So stand up for the Christians of Syria, and support the Syrian Government which is their only protector. Stand up also for persecuted Christians in Pakistan, Malaysia and Saudi Arabia, for example.

We should obviously like to see measures promised opposing the abortion industry and euthanasia. Reform of the family courts and the scandal of overbearing child protection is overdue. Crucially for the nation’s children, the Tory manifesto should stand against the fashionable transgender scam, especially in schools. That would cause outcry, but not fifteen million voters’ worth of outcry.

Finally, on foreign affairs, let us pray for a manifesto commitment of peace. Pray to have a Secretary of State for Defence, rather than – as we currently have – one for Provocation. Pray for a reset with Russia. Mrs May could pledge in this general election never again to destablise other nations. She could promise the UK will approach diplomacy with maturity. At the moment, Boris Johnson and Sir Michael Fallon seem like a couple of adolescent stags trying to prove their virility. The anti-Russia rhetoric is ludicrous and embarrassing.

Be sure every lobby group will be doing the same. Not the praying bit, obviously.

And do also pray for the other parties. On some matters, their general election manifestos could at the very least change the parameters of debate. Labour and UKIP could be better disposed towards peace, for example. There are plainly other issues attracting attention in Scotland and Northern Ireland, and Wales to some extent. But if you live outside England, or even overseas, please spare some prayer time for the overall UK picture.

Manchester United goes gay with Stonewall

Manchester United Football Club have struck a Faustian deal with homosexual pressure group Stonewall.

The Premier League outfit, sometimes known as the ‘Red Devils’, have announced a new partnership with the LGBT activists. ManU is the first, and by God’s grace the last, UK football club to sell its soul to Stonewall.

Although, to be fair, AFC Bournemouth have done their best. The Cherries sponsored a divisive LGBT event and fundraised for a gay youth group only last month.

Manchester United ‘a leader’

Foolish managing director Richard Arnold said, ‘Manchester United always looks to be a leader in everything it does. We are proud to be the first sports club to sign up to TeamPride.’

Well, the club is currently not actually leading the Premier League, lying sixth in the table.

Crucially, they are outside the top four who will qualify for first-rank European football in the Champions League next year.

Indeed, the club has a challenging run-in at this end of this season. They face Chelsea twice and travel to Arsenal, Burnley and Tottenham Hotspur. They also face possible banana skins at home entertaining in-form Crystal Palace, Everton and Swansea. This was probably not the best time to bring the curse of gay pride down upon the club.

Stonewall able to promote sodomy through football

Stonewall already has government departments, the forces, big banks and major companies in thrall. However, to promote sodomy through a football club with its legions of young fans is an activist’s dream.

Stonewall’s chief executive Ruth Hunt said: ‘Manchester United’s support means we can reach millions of football fans both here and around the world, to encourage them to do their part in making all people feel welcome in sport.’

But men with a sexual interest in teenage boys will find they are still not as welcome as they would like to be. And they make up a significant part of the Stonewall constituency.

Sexual abuse scandal

A sexual abuse scandal involving young male victims began to emerge in November 2016. Allegations firstly centred on abuse of young players at Crewe Alexandra and Manchester City, from the clubs’ associations with one Barry Bennell. The homosexual was previously convicted of sexual abuse offences in the US and UK. Subsequent allegations included former Newcastle United youth coach George Ormond. He was imprisoned in 2002 for offences against young footballers in the area.

Former Chelsea player Gary Johnson accused coach Eddie Heath of sexually abusing him. The Sun newspaper said he ‘worked as a football chief scout in the 1960s and 1970s and looked out for new young talent’. Of course he did. Allegations of abuse by coach Bob Higgins at Southampton and Peterborough were also made.

Manchester United has not been untouched by the scandal. Matthew Monaghan was signed by the club from Crewe Alexander. But the three years of sexual abuse he endured at the hands of Barry Bennell took its toll. Monaghan lasted only two months at Old Trafford as a professional, unable to cope with the crippling anxiety caused by the abuse.

Now Manchester United and England captain Wayne Rooney is encouraging any player who has been sexually abused during their careers to call a new, dedicated football helpline.

Rainbow Laces

Ruth Hunt went on: ‘It’s crucial for organisations like Manchester United to show they not only welcome LGBT people, but are active in leading the change. At the moment, many LGBT people want to take part in sport, either as players or fans, but the behaviour of a minority can make them feel unsafe, unwelcome or unable to be themselves.’

Leading what change, exactly? Turning the club into a recruiting ground for pederasts? There can be no doubt the club has many homosexual fans. Chelsea’s gay fans even have a little banner, but that club hasn’t been stupid enough to join up with Stonewall. What does ‘unable to be themselves’ mean? Use the club’s toilets for cottaging? Pick up boys in the car parks?

‘There’s so much work left to do to ensure that all LGBT people feel able to participate in sport’, concluded Miss Hunt. ‘We hope to see other clubs take Manchester United’s lead and join the Rainbow Laces campaign to make this a reality.’

The ‘Rainbow Laces campaign’ is where players are browbeaten into putting multicoloured laces in their boots. Of course the reality is sport is awash with gays and lesbians. However, homosexual footballers, if there are any and if they were to ‘come out’, would face considerable opposition, and rightly so, as footballers are role models for young players.

Huge responsibility

Manchester United will bear a huge responsibility if through their actions an impressionable adolescent boy, going through a teenage phase, were to decide he was ‘gay’ because an authority body like ManU promoted that perversion. Some parents might even stop taking their children to the club if the see LGBT rubbish around.

It’s a sad day for football, and a worse one for Manchester United.

A ‘woman’ accused of raping a man is actually a man, Christian Voice has discovered.

All the press, including the Independent, and even RT, have reported the case in the following politically correct fashion:

‘A British woman is to stand trial accused of raping a man.

‘Katie Brannen appeared in Newcastle Crown Court accused of two offences of rape after allegedly attacking the man in January in South Shields.

‘The 24-year-old, of Julian Avenue, Newcastle, spoke only to confirm her name during the hearing.

‘Barrister Gavin Doig indicated a not guilty plea and said he would be looking for a trial date.

‘An approximate four-day trial was listed for 4th December and a review hearing, which she must attend, was scheduled for 25th September.

‘Brannen was granted bail on the condition she must not try to contact the alleged victim and must live at an address on Green Lane in South Shields.’

Katie Brannen is actually Gavin

The wheels of justice grind exceeding slow in Newcastle. The alleged victim of this offence must wait nine months for the trial. But leave that aside.

This is actually not a case of a ‘woman raping a man’. ‘Katie’ Brannen is actually a man named Gavin. Moreover, he appeared at South Tyneside Magistrates’ Court in April 2013. He racked up a £27 taxi bill from Newcastle. Brannen fled on arriving home in Laygate, South Shields. He was charged and convicted as Gavin Brannen. But he appeared in court dressed as a woman. The court heard on that occasion that he was going through gender reassignment and wanted to be known as Katie. In addition, his boyfriend, Cory Elstob, 20, also of Laygate, South Shields, failed to appear in court in relation to the same incident. Magistrates issued a warrant for his arrest.

The 22-year-old was back in court In August 2014, says the Shields Gazette. Once again he was accused of dodging a taxi fare. This time he appeared under the name of Katie Brannen. The court heard he dashed off at the end of another taxi ride from Sunderland to Frederick Street, South Shields. On the second occasion it was a £20 bill the transgender fare dodger tried to avoid.

Gender reassignment will not address mental issues

Firstly, Gavin Brannen has obvious mental, emotional and dare we say spiritual issues which gender reassignment will fail to address. How much more ethical it would be for doctors to address the underlying pathologies in those with gender dysphoria rather than to administer hormones and embark on surgical mutilation. In addition, his homosexuality appears to be another part of the problem. No doubt we shall find out in December more depressing detail about how the alleged rape was accomplished.

Secondly, memories of the emperor with no clothes come flooding back when our politically-correct press persist in referring to Brannen as ‘her’ and ‘she’. Er, Brannen is a bloke, guys. It’s actually easy to find that out. We took just two minutes. He may have gone back to falsify his birth certificate under the Gender Recognition Act 2004. But be assured it originally said ‘Gavin’. Those midwives did not get it wrong when they tied a blue ribbon around his ankle. He can take all the hormones he wants. Surgeons can cuts bits he was endowed with by his Creator right off. But he will always be genetically a man, despite all his protestations to the contrary.

Jenni Murray says ‘transwomen’ are ‘not real women’

Meanwhile, arch-feminist presenter of BBC Radio 4’s Woman’s Hour, Jenni Murray, has joined the fray. She wrote a piece on the subject in the Sunday Times.

Ms Murray took particular exception to a CofE minister who became a ‘trans-woman’, the late Rev Peter Stone. Jenni M recalls the conversation she had with ‘Carol’: ‘Her primary concerns, she told me, were finding the most suitable dress in which to meet her parishioners in her new persona and deciding if she should wear makeup or not.’

Her piece appeared under the heading: ‘Jenni Murray: Be trans, be proud – but don’t call yourself a ‘real woman’. Can someone who has lived as a man, with all the privilege that entails, really lay claim to womanhood? It takes more than a sex change and makeup.’

‘I believe I’m a woman’

She was immediately jumped on by Stonewall. Next, boxing promoter Frank Maloney pitched in. Despite being a man, he says: ‘I see myself as a woman and I believe I’m a woman’. As one’s children would remark, ‘Whatever’.

He was ‘shocked by broadcaster Dame Jenni Murray’s suggestion that people who have undergone “sex change” operations from male to female are not “real women”.’ His South London friends would probably say ‘Oh mate, get over it!’ Or words to that effect.

Frank appeared on ‘Loose Women’ (here’s the video if you can bear it) in May 2016 dressed up as ‘Kellie’.

He admits even his three children call him ‘dad in a frock.’ ‘They will always call me Dad’, he says. Again wittering on about dresses and makeup, he says: ‘it’s bloody hard being a woman.’ Especially when you aren’t, Frank.

Nigerian feminist Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie has also taken the Jenni Murray stance. She is opposed by a Nigerian man called Miss Sahhara. Apparently, feminists like Chimamanda are called TERF by the Miss Sahharas of this world. That stands for ‘Trans-Exclusionary Radical Feminist’. You wanted to know that.
