It is coming to something when the Russian Foreign Minister is more believable than your own.
Four days ago, The Rt Hon William Hague, talking about the unrest in Eastern Ukraine, said, ‘There can’t really be any real doubt that this is something that has been planned and brought about by Russia. … violation of the independence and sovereignty of Ukraine … There has to be a clear and united international response.’
Back in March, President Obama said ‘Make no mistake, neither the United States nor Europe has any interest in controlling Ukraine.’ (Was that before or after US officals were overheard discussing who they wanted to install as Ukrainian president?) That video is admittedly published by Russia Today but those are his words.
In contrast, the Russian Foreign Minister has denied that Russia has stoked up the problems. And the truth is, Russia did neither fund nor organise the pro-EU demonstrations and take-over of government in Kiev, ousting pro-Russian President Yanakovich in the process, which started the Ukraine crisis in the first place.
We have already reported how Western NGO’s financed the ‘Maidan Square’ protest movement. But Christian Voice has discovered that millions of dollars have been pouring into Ukrainian NGO’s and ‘civil society’ organisations for the last couple of years. Principal donors include the Open Society Foundation and the Charles Stewart Mott Foundation.
The Foundation Centre lists over $18 million of grants by US NGO’s to Ukrainian ‘civil society’ recipients. The breakdown can be seen by clicking on each recipient. To take one example, the Open Society Foundation for Ukraine – directly fingered in the pro-EU rioting – received over $535,000 jointly from the Charles Stewart Mott Foundation and the National Endowment for Democracy. The Civil Society Institute, an EU sock-puppet, got $450,00 dollars. An Open Society front organisation, the Ukrainian Step by Step Foundation, was given $1,527,000. An organisation called Ednannia was given the most money, $1,550,000.
One grant of $250,000 from Mott to Ednannia was ‘to foster the development of community foundations in Ukraine.’ Indeed, one can read the whole grant profile (three-quarters of the way down this page) and be none the wiser what Ednannia actually do, apart from ‘social action’. The Mott Foundation’s own website says it especially likes ‘the development of community foundations’
What are those? Well, a click on the link reveals that they are ‘Rooted Locally, Growing Globally’ and are favoured for being ‘local leaders of positive change’. Call us cynical, but if positive change involves taking up arms, storming government buildings, ousting elected governments and trying to join the European Union by force, then it looks less than desirable.
Even Chatham House, an elitist body itself, admits that NGO’s in countries like Ukraine are funded entirely from the Western elite and almost entirely disconnected from ordinary people. Pretending to be ‘democratic’, they could not be less empowered with any semblance of a popular mandate.
William Hague said on Monday that the EU summit would focus on “how we support democratic institutions and the elections in Ukraine”. The EU’s idea of doing that is apparently funding exactly those NGO’s Chatham House identifies as the least democratic and overturning elected officials in sovereign states by force. It was Orwellian newspeak from Mr Hague.
The Bible says: Exodus 18:21 Moreover thou shalt provide out of all the people able men, such as fear God, men of truth, hating covetousness; and place such over them, to be rulers of thousands, and rulers of hundreds, rulers of fifties, and rulers of tens:
How many of members of the British Establishment would pass that test? Would William Hague?
What a sorry state we are in, when HM Foreign Secretary is the least believable man in Britain.

Hagues just another mouthpiece puppet dancing to the tune of his master, anyone who believes a politician these days needs a reality check, theyre all liars
He has become a U.S. style neo-con.
If you understand the history of these people you will understand why we now have a form of British conservatism that represents anything but traditional conservative values namely: (1) a social policy based on cultural Marxism (e.g. gay marriage) (2) A foreign policy divorced from British interests and based on pushing the N.W.O. agenda and beating up innocent Arab nations (3) An economic policy based on privileged treatment for the banking cartel over and above real economic activity.
Most U.S. neocons have a history of far left activism and a Jewish cultural background. Sometime in the 1980s they apparently had a conversion to conservatism (or rather they infiltrated and corrupted traditional conservatism from within). They are the elite who have hijacked U.S. power from under the noses of the people and destroyed America’s reputation. They are answerable for most of the world’s crisis.
Poor Hague, Kerry, EU baroness what’s her name, et al they are having a really turgid time with Russia over Ukraine. The problem being that as the drivers of the one world government/order (Bilderbergers) Mr Putin is not playing the game according to the script but has decided on a nationalistic power game of his own. Ukraine could be added in to the confirmed “controlled“territory of the one world government and the EU could move on to the next chunk of land such as Turkey. But for Putin challenging and spoiling it all ie Crimea. Obama got quite hysterical hinting about conventional war (we got a better conventional army than you). What a joke! Still the poor man had to try and look tough after he lost the Syria game some months ago. The US has been cutting down on its armed forces and could only field about 350 000 men whereas Russia has 700 000. Sorry, forgot we could cut the British army by another 10 000 and we could take Russia on as in days of old. Ridiculous? Yes! but so is the drive for a bigger EU and the belief that it has the moral high ground/ is heaven on earth/ nirvana / eldorado/ paradise and is the only game in town. Psalm 59:8 But You, O LORD, shall laugh at them; You shall have all the nations in derision. 1 Corinthians 3:19 For the wisdom of this world is foolishness to God. As the Scriptures say, “He traps the wise in the snare of their own cleverness.”
” But You, O LORD, shall laugh at them; You shall have all the nations in derision. ”
If this really does refer to all the countries in the world at any period in history, then being the foreign minister of any country, or having any part in the government of any country, is never going to be much fun.
“For the wisdom of this world is foolishness to God. ”
No point, then, in education, or trying to give people wise advice, or doing anything well really.
Context, Rox. You have to read and set these verses in their context. A good start is to read the whole psalm or chapter.
But as to the first quote, remember what Harold Macmillan said in reply to the question ‘What is most likely to bring down a government?’:
‘Events, dear boy, events.’ And every Christian reading this will be able to tell you of at least one occasion when something quite unexpected has happened which although a sceptic might try to explain it as a coincidence, could only sensibly be attributed to God.
Context indeed. I did write “IF it really does refer to all the countries in the world at any period in history” . Because I too doubted that it could apply to any context at all.
But if it doesn’t, then how does Davidw know which nations it applies to and when?
For me, the context is national (or supra-national) leaders getting together and trying to organise things in their own strength, or in opposition to the purposes of God, as if the Almighty neither matters nor cares.
I further suggest the moment they think they really have something going is the moment when they are going to fall the furthest. I believe it is called ‘hubris’.
So if a nation such as the US, an empire such as the EU or an oligarchy such as the Bilderberg group think they can manipulate world events to their own agenda, they are more than likely to come seriously unstuck.
And as what they plot is designed to benefit themselves first and the rest of us a long way behind, if at all, I hope we all say ‘Thank God’ to that.
As an avowed nationalist, Putin’s chief concern is for the well being of his nation. Oh that our politicians were the same. Western governments are all together in pushing for globalism, with the welfare of their own country coming as an afterthought. Who would have believed that the policies of the west would be more Marxist than those of Russia?!
