Today is the fiftieth anniversary of the legalisation of sodomy. Consequently, the BBC will be unwatchable and unlistenable for a week at least.
Especially today, all BBC channels will be awash with ‘Gay Britania’. It is exactly fifty years since the enactment of the Sexual Offences Act 1967.
BBC reflecting the Establishment
One can argue the BBC is simply reflecting the Establishment. It is impossible to be a candidate for Labour, the LibDems or the Tories without being a ‘Diversity’ wonk. Plaid Cymru, SNP and Sinn Fein are almost as bad. And anyone Christian or just pro-family in government needs to keep his views to himself.
Moreover, in the broadcast media, Sky, ITV and Channel 4 news will no doubt be promoting what they will see as a joyous day. It is always interesting to discern between what is news and what is the advancement of the Establishment agenda. This author reckons BBC ‘news’ is usually 50% propaganda.
Nevertheless, TV viewers have a choice. RT (Freeview 135) ought to be free of homosexual promotion while Yesterday (19) and TBN (65) should be gay-free zones.
Never satisfied
The homosexual mindset is never satisfied. Neither with life as a whole, nor with sexual expression, nor indeed with political gains. It was never enough just to be left alone to do whatever they were going to do in private. As it happens, we all now know rather more than we ever wanted to about what homosexuals do in private. That is largely owing to the AIDS crisis, forcing gay charities like Terrence Higgins Trust to list homosexual activities in order of health risk.
So in 2004 Tony Blair enacted Civil Partnerships. The BBC celebrating that event with footage of happy couples. Nevertheless, civil partnerships were not good enough. Equally, gay politics had moved out of its Labour redoubt. Therefore, a Conservative Party Prime Minister, David Cameron, inflicted same-sex ‘marriage’ on the nation in 2013. More celebratory BBC footage, this time of gays getting gay-married.
And now the elite are moving on again. They want to allow anyone, for any reason or none, to change his gender at will. The Government have announced a new ‘Gender Recognition Bill’ for the autumn. Our story on that is here.
Homosexuality … universally condemned

How did it come to this? Was such a degradation of society in the minds of those who framed the Sexual Offences Act? Not at all. The 1967 Act was ‘permissive’ legislation. That does not mean it was part of the ‘permissive society’, although of course it was. It means it permitted something still illegal to happen in certain circumstances. The Abortion Act of the same year is another example of ‘permissive’ legislation.
So the Sexual Offences Act allowed acts of sodomy and gross indecency to take place in England and Wales between two consenting adults (aged 21 or over) in private. It was a Private Member’s Bill, brought in by Leo Abse MP, at the instigation of Antony Grey of the Albany Trust and the Homosexual Law Reform Society.
In the debates on the 1967 Sexual Offences Bill, MPs and Peers made clear Parliament was refusing to do anything more than permit homosexual acts in certain circumstances. This was emphasised again and again by, for example, Lord Arran, who said:
‘In all the discussions we have had, and in all the speeches, no single noble Lord or noble Lady has ever said that homosexuality is right or a good thing. It has been universally condemned from start to finish, and by every single member of the House.’
First Gay Pride March in 1972
Strangely enough, under a Christian legal system, there would be no need for the Sexual Offences Act. The Bible requires at least two witnesses before a court can convict anyone of a crime:
Deuteronomy 19:15 One witness shall not rise up against a man for any iniquity, or for any sin, in any sin that he sinneth: at the mouth of two witnesses, or at the mouth of three witnesses, shall the matter be established.
If two men were doing something indecent in private there would be no witnesses. Accordingly, there could be no prosecution.

But the sentiments of their Lordships, no doubt well-intended, were to fall on deaf ears. Homosexuality would not now stay private. Activists held the first ever gay pride march in London five years later in 1972. Veteran campaigner Peter Tatchell was on it. He gives a valuable Gay Liberation Front insider’s view here.
Eschew ostentatious behaviour and flaunting
In a later House of Lords debate, one Lord Henderson slightly misquoted the Earl of Arran. In 1967, said Henderson, Lord Arran ‘asked the homosexual people of the future to comport themselves quietly and with dignity and to eschew any form of ostentatious behaviour or public flouting.’ Lord Arran actually used the word ‘flaunting.’ He said any evidence of it would ‘make the sponsors of this Bill regret that they have done what they have done.’
One homosexual activist, John Marshall, summed up the arguments of the Bill’s supporters like this:
‘The protection afforded by the Sexual Offences Bill, particularly for young people, was stressed repeatedly; homosexuality was a lesser evil than the blackmail which its prohibition encouraged; relaxing the law would make it easier for homosexuals who wished to be free of their practices to seek help from the caring ministries.’
The Sexual Offences Act 1967 was extended to Scotland in 1980 and to Northern Ireland in 1982. The latter happened after a European Court ruling and despite a campaign led by the late Dr Ian Paisley MP to ‘Save Ulster from Sodomy.’
Homosexual lobby group founded
Prime Minister John Major MP decriminalised buggery on women.
Even twenty-one years after the Sexual Offences Act, in 1988, homosexual activity was still viewed with distaste. That was the year of Section 28, which banned promotion of homosexuality in the classroom.
Section 28 and its description of homosexual couples as being in a ‘pretended family’ energised gay activists. They founded the Stonewall lobby group in 1989.
Five years later, under John Major, Parliament lowered the minimum age in the Sexual Offences Act to eighteen. The Criminal Justice and Public Order Act 1994 also permitted buggery on women.
The Christian Voice group was founded in the same year to inform Christians so they could pray into such matters and take action. But a tidal wave was approaching.
In 1998 activist MPs voted to lower the homosexual age again, this time to sixteen. The House of Lords objected. Undaunted, Prime Minister Tony Blair used the Parliament Act. Accordingly, in 2000 homosexual men gained legal access to sixteen-year-old boys. In 2003, his administration repealed Section 28. The Scottish Parliament repealed its equivalent in 2000.
In 2003, Parliament allowed homosexuals to adopt children. The following year saw civil partnerships. Also in 2004 Parliament legislated a lie. They passed the Gender Recognition Act. That allowed someone to go back and falsify his birth certificate if a doctor agreed he was a woman – or if a woman thought she was really a man.
Like a flood
Tony Blair used the Parliament Act to force the House of Lords to lower the minimum age for sodomy to sixteen. He also introduced civil partnerships. That would never be enough.
Gay-promoting legislation was now coming in like a flood. In 2007 we had the Sexual Orientation Regulations, forcing Christian B&B owners to offer beds to homosexual couples. In 2008 Parliament abolished the offence of blasphemy and passed their own blasphemy law, a ‘gay hate speech’ law.
2009 saw the Equality Act placing a duty on public authorities to promote sodomy and transgenderism. And then David Cameron forced through the Marriage (Same-Sex Couples) Act 2013.
It is difficult to promote homosexuality politically any more. The activists have achieved virtually everything. Accordingly, the BBC is simply leading today’s celebrations. Of course, reparative therapy offering people a progression out of same-sex attraction is still a target, because the idea there could be something wrong with being homosexual is anathema to the ungodly. Additionally, it is true there are still grumblings in society. For example, many parents still do not want teachers promoting homosexuality to their children. And the Independent says today that 42% of people in Britain still think homosexual activity is unnatural. Curiously, 59% of Brexit voters said gay sex was unnatural, compared to a quarter of Remain voters. (And if you want to know which countries in the world say sodomy is unacceptable, click here!)
But one UK institution in particular remains a thorn in the activists’ collective side. The stronger elements of Christianity are still holding out. Homosexuals demand full acceptance from the church. Tolerance is not enough. So our openly-lesbian Education Secretary has demanded churches offer ceremonies for people getting gay-married. According to the Daily Mirror, Justine Greening said: ‘I think it is important that the church in a way keeps up.’
Lift up a standard
The Bible shows God Almighty does not ‘keep up’ with wickedness. In contrast, the Prophet of God says:
Isaiah 59:19 So shall they fear the name of the LORD from the west, and his glory from the rising of the sun. When the enemy shall come in like a flood, the Spirit of the LORD shall lift up a standard against him.
And on this day of shame, this satanic jubilee, good Lord, that is what your Church is praying for. For men of God to be filled with the Holy Spirit, to lift up the Lord’s standard and press the Crown Rights of King Jesus!

Boots has come under attack from a leading abortionist angry at the Chemist’s pricing for the morning-after pill.
According to the BBC, the British Pregnancy Advisory Service (BPAS) issued a press release on Friday 21st July 2017. BPAS demanded Boots and other pharmacies reduce the cost of what it euphemistically called ’emergency contraception’ Levonelle. ‘Levonelle’ is a brand name for levonorgetsrel. Bayer PLC market the drug in the UK.
‘Incentivising inappropriate use’
Currently, the progestogen-based drug Levonelle costs £28.25 in Boots. The store sells a non-branded equivalent for £26.75. However, Tesco have the branded drug at £13.50. Meanwhile, Superdrug offer a generic version for 13.49. Additionally, Superdrug charges £27 for Levonelle and £35 for something called EllaOne (qv).
Clare Murphy, BPAS director of external affairs, said: ‘Most people believe women should be able to access emergency contraception from pharmacies at an affordable price.’ We do not know what evidence she has for that statement.
The chief pharmacist at Boots UK, Marc Donovan, said: ‘In our experience, the subject polarises public opinion and we receive frequent contact from individuals who voice their disapproval of the fact that [Boots] chooses to provide this service.
‘We would not want to be accused of incentivising inappropriate use, and provoking complaints, by significantly reducing the price of this product.’
He added that the chemist wanted to avoid the pill ‘being misused or overused’.
‘Patronising and pathetic’
Labour MP Yvette Cooper chimed in on Twitter. ‘This is patronising and pathetic – keeping emergency contraception price too high cos you don’t trust women and are scared of critics.’

The morning after pill is a powerful abortifacient. Bayer say they think it stops ovaries releasing eggs. It might also prevent fertilisation by sperm. But the Mayo Clinic say some morning-after pills also prevent an embryonic human being implanting in the womb. While the BBC say the pill ‘can be taken in the days after unprotected sex to prevent pregnancy’, Bayer make clear Levonelle must be taken within twelve hours. The Mayo Clinic add ‘recent evidence strongly suggests that levonorgestrel doesn’t keep a fertilized egg from implanting’. They add: ‘ It’s not clear if the same is true for Ella.’
We have been wondering why the UK’s biggest abortionist is cheer-leading for Bayer’s Levonelle. After all, would not an over-the-counter potion reduce their own market? But it seems Levonelle has only a small window of use. Moreover, it does not always work. A woman can take it according to instructions. She can then discover she is pregnant despite that. Additionally, her mind has fully taken against pregnancy. Therefore Levonelle use may actually increase BPAS core business of surgically ripping babies to pieces. the same may be true of other ’emergency contraceptives’. Abortionists have said in the past that contraceptive use in general increases demand for abortions.

BPAS; always chasing new market opportunities. ‘Caring for women since 1968?’ Doing abortions, that means.
In England, Levonelle and EllaOne are free of charge from most sexual health clinics. Moreover, many GP surgeries and most NHS walk-in centres give them out free. The BBC added ‘The drugs are free only to women in certain age groups from pharmacies in some parts of the country.’ Note ‘certain age groups’. What they meant is some pharmacies and school nurses give it out free to teenagers behind their parents’ backs.
In Scotland and Wales, the pill is available free of charge on the NHS from pharmacies, GPs and sexual health clinics. In Northern Ireland, some pharmacies allow it to be bought on the NHS, Sexual health clinics and GPs in the Province make it available free of charge.

Boots caves in to pressure
By Monday morning, Boots had caved in. The firm was ‘truly sorry’ for its response and its ‘poor choice of words’. It would look for cheaper alternatives to Levonelle, perhaps not quite what BPAS had in mind.
Now, the BBC reported Laura Perrins from the blog Conservative Women. Mrs Perrins said condemning a pharmacy for setting a price on a particular drug was itself a ‘form of moralising’.
She said Boots should not be forced to reduce the cost, saying Levonelle ‘is a drug that is unlike others and is a drug that can be given to under-age girls without parental consent’.
But Sandra Gidley, from the Royal Pharmaceutical Society, said the original stance taken by Boots was a ‘little uncomfortable’.
She said: ‘They seemed to be saying women would be irresponsible.’ ‘That can’t be the case because pharmacists have to ask a set number of questions. So if women are regularly trying to use the morning after pill as a method of contraception they’re simply not allowed to have it.’
Magaluf Mentality

Speaking on LBC, this author said a couple should not be engaging in conjugal relations if they were not open to the possibility of conception.
Furthermore, we take a medicine because there is something wrong with us. We have a ‘dis-ease’. So what ails a woman taking the morning-after-pill? Has fertility – or new life – now become an ailment? Levonelle and its competitors are not medicines, they are poisons.
Thanks to our divorce culture, we now have a crisis of young people deprived of (mainly) a father’s love. They are desperately seeking someone to love them. When this affects girls, they are prey to any young man who takes an interest in them. The absence of fathers in a boy’s life decreases morality and accountability. Add in Levonelle and the rest of the morning-after-pill drawer and you have a perfect storm for debauchery.
And a nice source of turnover for the British Pregnancy Advisory Service.

Businesses and politicians fell over each other to support the London Gay Pride parade at the weekend.
The BBC reported: ‘With almost 50 official partners, ranging from airlines to mobile networks, and a list of over 60 supporters, companies are signing up to try to stamp out prejudice.’
Well, no, they are not trying to ‘stamp out prejudice’, BBC, they are simply trying to sell product. To do that, a bit of good old ‘virtue signalling’ will do the trick.
The inverted commas indicate that we have come to a strange place when supporting a group defined by vice is ‘virtue signalling’ in the first place. But clothing retailers such as Topshop are definitely adopting a ‘more progressive than thou’ stance.

Costa coffee also went rainbow coloured. In addition to the opportunists on the street, the ‘Pride in London’ website indeed lists around fifty corporate sponsors of one kind and another.
London Underground is a sponsor, putting the six-coloured rainbow up at Oxford Circus with a slogan: ‘#LoveisLove’. Or five minutes in the bushes on Hampstead Heath.
Barclays Bank was joint ‘headline’ sponsor with the Mayor of London.
That’s devout Muslim Mr Khan. There is obviously a time and a place for Islam in a politician’s life.
Politicians other than the mayor of London jumped on the bandwagon. The London Evening Standard gleefully reported that the Houses of Parliament were lit up in rainbow colours. Well, after a fashion.
“The rainbow illumination of Parliament is our signal of support for sodomy,” said John Bercow, the Commons Speaker. Sorry to misquote him. Actually, he said: ‘.. of support for equality’.
Moreover, the Prime Minister flew the rainbow flag over 10 Downing Street. Thersa May put every true Christian, Othodox Jew, Muslim and for that matter every decent person in the realm, firmly in their place.
From protest to fashionable
Gay Pride has moved from protest to fashionable in forty years. However, not everyone in the gay sub-culture is happy. Peter Tatchell complained in the Guardian: ‘What began in 1972 as a protest for gay rights has now morphed into a commercialised, bureaucratic and rule-bound event, which too often reflects the wishes of the city authorities, not the LGBT community.’
The veteran campaigner went on to observe ‘a mere 26,500 people will be permitted to march. This is a fraction of the number who would march if it were a free and open event’.
Many might think 26,500 is more than enough dysfunctional people parading through our capital city. But when Gay Pride becomes as much a part of the calendar as Christmas, we need to take notice and start praying very hard for our nation to repent. And keep our passports up to date just in case the mind of God is for judgment on the UK, rather than for mercy.
Conversion therapy ‘abusive’, says Jayne

Meanwhile, one Jayne Ozanne, speaking at a weekend event in York, condemned so-called conversion therapy. This is where people who wish to be free of same-sex attraction seek psychiatric help. She said:
“Conversion therapy is condemned by professionals as being harmful to LGBT people as it is based on a misguided belief that being lesbian, gay, bisexual or transgender is wrong. This leads to increased mental health problems for LGBT community due to stigmatization.”
No, that’s not a ‘misguided belief’, Jayne, that is the plain teaching of scripture:
Gen 1:27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them. Gen 2:24 Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh.
Lev 18:22 Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination.
Mar 10:6 (Jesus said) But from the beginning of the creation God made them male and female. 7 For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and cleave to his wife; 8 And they twain shall be one flesh: so then they are no more twain, but one flesh.
And being ‘one flesh’, in that full wonderful God-given spiritual, emotional and physical sense, is something a pair of gays, or two lesbians, can never do. Moreover, the ‘increased mental health problems’ are from gays and lesbians knowing what they are doing is plain wrong. If it were from ‘stigmatization’, mental health problems for LGBT’s would be diminishing with greater media-driven acceptance. They aren’t. It isn’t.

The singer Ariana Grande wished fans would die, according to 2014 report in the respected New York Daily News.
The paper reports: ‘While visiting a Manhattan radio station this summer (2014), the 21-year-old “Better Left Unsaid” singer should’ve left her thoughts unsaid.
‘I hope they all f—ing die’
‘“She did autographs and pics and was all smiles until she got into the elevator,” a stunned industry insider tells us. “And as soon as the doors shut she said, ‘I hope they all f—ing die.’ ”’
On 22nd May 2017, her death wish came true. IS-motivated Muslim bomber Salman Abedi took 22 innocent lives as he blew himself up at her ‘Dangerous Woman’ concert at Manchester Arena.
We ran a previous post asking why parents were actually taking their daughters (mainly) along to hear the potty-mouthed popstrel’s sexualised lyrics. A lesbian-themed launderette video still defiles her website home page.
But the new allegations must leave anyone with any sanity wondering why this young woman is still successful. If the reports are true, she despises her fan-base. Why do they turn out for her? Why do parents pay for tickets for her concerts? Don’t they even investigate her lyrics of lifestyle? A simple internet search and parents can easily explain to their children that she is nasty piece of work. Why don’t they love their children enough to do that and protect them from her influence?
The New York Times allegations are based, they say, on two separate witnesses. They are fueled by the singer’s reaction to the story. That fell far short of a denial.
According to the Daily Mail, Ariana Grande “said she had been ‘laughing out loud’ following the shock claims, in which it is said she blasted naive supporters in New York as soon as their backs were turned following a seemingly joyful encounter.”
Greedy
The Mail often runs stories which are not true, or are slanted, but here they quoted the NY Daily News and printed a copy of a tweet from the Ariana Grande twitter account. And indeed it said: ‘man some of these rumors which have been coming out about me lately have me laughing out loud – really can’t take ’em seriously’. That folks, is not a denial.
Also ‘coming out’ are reports that she charges fans $495 to have their picture taken with her. Such an amount is not out of the ordinary. But every other pop star has their picture taken with you alone. Ariana Grande has hers taken with up to six of her adoring fans together. That’s nudging three grand of dollars a shot.
New York Daily News reports: ‘Grande further dissed fans Monday by offering a $495 photo op for fans during her upcoming “Honeymoon Tour,” but stipulated that shoots are for groups of four to six people, not individuals.
‘“Really?” exclaimed one media industry tipster. “Bieber, Miley, Britney, Katy Perry all did individual pics when they sold these packages.”’
The ‘Love Manchester’ gig on Sunday 4th June should by rights be termed the ‘Exploit Manchester’. Ariana Grande is receiving exposure and virtue-signalling all in one. And making a few quid along the way, despite the charity emphasis.
But the character and nature of the centre of attention must focus attention on our civilisation. We have someone here who is crass, graceless, destructive, avaricious, self-centred, ill-mannered, foul-mouthed, indecent and got up like a prostitute. Far from telling her to repent and be saved by the blood of Jesus, the public and mainstream media fawn over Ariana Grande.
Parents encourage their daughters to watch her, to listen to her and to regard her as a role model. Then they will be surprised when their child comes out with foul language, insults them, dresses like a slag, turns lesbian or gets pregnant. Depraved, dissolute and disgusting hardly covers this culture. We are in decline, friends. We are just treading water at best, waiting for a stronger, militant people to destroy and supplant us. Now what could that militant culture be?

A mosque and Islamic Centre south of Manchester are linked to the Manchester Arena bombing.
The bomber, identified in a leak from US security as Salman Ramadan Abedi, was a regular worshiper at Didsbury Mosque. His father is a leading player in the mosque. Abu Ismail Abedi regularly calls the men to prayer.
Didsbury mosque is in Burton Road, Didsbury, not far from Junction 5 of the M60. The mosque adjoins Manchester Islamic Centre. The building was originally Albert Park Methodist Chapel. Sadly the 19th-century chapel closed in 1962 and was later converted into a mosque. Didsbury Mosque has an attendance of around 1,000 people. The Manchester Islamic Centre is a registered charity.
The Guardian reported: ‘Abedi was known to the security services but was not part of any active investigation or regarded as a high risk. He was viewed as a peripheral figure in much the same way as the Westminster attacker, Khalid Masood.
Abedi ‘quiet’ and ‘devout’
The paper found several people at the mosque willing to speak to them. One member of Manchester’s Libyan community told the Guardian about Salman Abedi. ‘He was such a quiet boy, always very respectful towards me.’ Of course he was. That is just Middle-Eastern culture. Defending Abedi’s father, equally devout, the man said: ‘his boys learned the Qur’an by heart.’ There are no surprises there. The father is thought to be in Tripoli, and his sons had travelled there as well.

The interviewee went on to say, ‘Abu Ismail will be terribly distraught. He was always very confrontational with jihadi ideology, and this Isis thing isn’t even jihad, it’s criminality. The family will be devastated.’
Didsbury Mosque sermon problem
Others recalled very differently. Mohammed Saeed is a senior figure in Didsbury Mosque and Islamic Centre. He was born in Libya and came to the UK in 1980.
Saeed said he gave a strong sermon against terrorism and about the sanctity of life in 2015. He said 2,000 members of the mosque were with him; a small number were not; and a few signed a petition criticising him. ‘Salman showed me a face of hate after that sermon,’ he said. ‘He was showing me hatred.’
A trustee of Didsbury Mosque lied to the Financial Times about Salman Abedi: ‘We don’t know who he is. We’ve never seen him’.
Moreover, Didsbury Mosque has been in the spotlight before. Worshipper Abdalraouf Abdallah, 24, was jailed for nine and a half years last year after being convicted of funding terrorism and preparing acts of terrorism. Abdallah helped a number of men to travel to Syria and fight in the civil war. A family friend told the Guardian Abedi and Abdallah knew each other: ‘All the Libyan lads in Manchester know each other’.

News becomes propaganda
Meanwhile, news coverage of the atrocity in the mainstream media quickly moved into propaganda mode. Almost every segment on the BBC’s report on Tuesday night emphasised ‘coming together’. Political leaders especially said they were not allowing the bombing ‘to divide us’.
Likewise in the online mainstream print media. Professor George Kassimeris holds a chair in security studies at the University of Wolverhampton. He wrote on the changing face of terrorism in the Independent. ‘Yesterday’s terrorist attack in Manchester has traumatised all of us living in the UK’, he wrote. He was supposed to be contrasting the nature of Islamic terrorism with the old IRA and Red Brigades. And yet he concluded of the attack: ‘we must not allow it to poison and divide us.’ That is propaganda.
Meanwhile, the Mayor of Manchester, Labour’s Professor of Theology Andy Burnham, devalues political discourse by claiming bomber Abedi was ‘a terrorist not a Muslim’. That’s also propaganda. If he was not a Muslim, what was he? A Buddhist? If they can’t face the truth, how will this sort ever protect the public?
It is as if the Establishment are truly fearful of anyone joining up the dots. People might consequently criticise the multi-cultural paradigm. Broadcasters will therefore deny any link between Islam, Muslims, Mosques, the Quran and Terrorism. Ordinary voters must never make that connection. But, as the reports coming out of the mosque show all too well, Islam is a religion of works and those works include jihad. Moreover, Jihad, in the hands of a significant number of Muslims, means death to unbelievers.
Duty of the state to maintain peace
The state’s fundamental duty is to keep its people safe. That means firstly defending the realm from external attack. Thank God, that is not remotely our problem today. But secondly, the state’s duty is to maintain peace and security inside the realm. Here is where the problem lies
The Apostle Paul makes the duty of the state very clear in his letter to the church in Rome:
Rom 13:4b … he (the ruler) is the minister of God, a revenger to execute wrath upon him that doeth evil. … 6 For for this cause pay ye tribute also: for they are God’s ministers, attending continually upon this very thing.
In his letter to Timothy, he makes a similar point, urging prayer for leaders and giving a reason:
1Tim 2:2 (pray) For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty.
And this is no more than what Jeremiah told the Jewish captives in Babylon:
Jer 29:7 And seek the peace of the city whither I have caused you to be carried away captives, and pray unto the LORD for it: for in the peace thereof shall ye have peace.
What price security?

Peace and security are good things and they are what the state is God-ordained to bring. Here we have a big problem. Too many Muslims in Britain are intent on terrorism.
In addition, the security services knew Salman Abedi and Westminster killer Khalid Masood. Nevertheless, they had neither as part of any active investigation. They did not regard either as ‘a high risk’. The ‘spooks’ viewed both as ‘peripheral figures’. MI5 also had Michael Adebolajo and Michael Adebowale on the list, but allowed them to carry out the murder of Lee Rigby.
If peripheral figures can cause such mayhem, what can central figures achieve? Last year we learnt MI5 have 3,000 suspects on a terror watch list. It was previously 2,000. But MI5 need around 25 officers to keep tabs on every one of them round the clock.
Dame Stella Rimington told the BBC: ‘And if 2,000 people were to be followed like that, we’d be talking about 50,000 full-time spies doing nothing but following suspected terrorists. That’s more than 10 times the number of people employed by MI5. The numbers don’t add up.’
We want to be protected, not ‘reassured’
What are the alternatives? It appears a choice between internment and regular substantial loss of innocent life. What are our politicians going to suggest in this general election campaign, when it gets going again? Senior police officers have been on camera in the last few days. Deploying the Army on the streets is a good thing if it releases police officers for something more important. Soldiers will be more useful here than in Estonia anyway.
Some policemen and government ministers told the media deploying troops is about ‘reassuring the public’. It is not. Or if it is they have their priorities very wrong. We don’t desire to be ‘reassured’, thank you. We want to be protected.
Twenty-two people have died and fifty-nine are injured after a bomb attack at a concert given by one Ariana Grande.
The atrocity was carried out at Manchester Arena. It was a suicide attack. The attacker, thought to be a Muslim extremist, died in the attack.
Our thoughts and prayers are with those affected and their families.

We also need to focus on the nature of the concert. Eighteen months ago, in November 2015, gunmen struck at the Bataclan in Paris. A band called ‘Eagles of Death Metal’ were playing. I investigated the band, the genre and the lyrics and published a video at the time. Here it is.
The performance of Ariana Grande was not as dark and invoking quite so much pure evil as the Bataclan gig. Nevertheless, there are questions.
Ariana Grande, or Grande-Butera, is twenty-three and American. She appeals to a young audience, teens and younger. The youngest named victim to date was just eight years old. Wikipedia claims Grande ‘has a large following on social media’. I have to admit she is someone I never heard of before this morning. Nevertheless, it seems ‘she is the second most followed person on Instagram’.

With a young audience comes the responsibility of setting a good example. Sadly, with Ariana Grande, that is lacking. The home page of her website at this time of writing has moving images of what appears to be lesbian activity in a launderette. That may be fashionable, but it does not help her young fans to grow up to express normal attractions.
In keeping with modern de mode lesbian chic, there are images and videos around of Ariana Grande doing other lesbian-style stuff. She has or has had boyfriends. Nevertheless, her shameless promotion of bi- or pan-sexuality is plain irresponsible and thoughtless. But then, it is slanted to earn accolades from the bien pensants.
In ‘Moonlight’, the man she is singing about ‘Makes me want to give him my body’. In ‘Dangerous Woman’, the boy ‘Makes me wanna do things that I shouldn’t’. ‘All girls wanna be like that,’ she sings, ‘Bad girls underneath, like that,’ And then: ‘All that you got, skin to skin, oh my God, Don’t ya stop, boy.’ ‘Into you’ has ‘A little less conversation and a little more “touch my body” Cause I’m so into you, into you, into you, oh yeah.’
‘Let me love you’ features singer Dwayne Carter. His contribution is: ‘I say, “Girl, you need a hot boy.” She say, “You need to stop f*****’ with them thots, boy.” I say, “You need a real nigga?” She said, “Yes”, Lord.’ Dwayne is a black guy so he can get away with the racist bits but, once more, do you really want your pre-teen daughter listening to that?
And Ariana can do potty mouth as well. In Bad Decisions: ‘Boy, you make me make bad decisions. Don’t you know I ain’t f****** with them good boys? Know you love me like ain’t nobody here, boy. If you want it, boy, you got it. Ain’t you ever seen a princess be a bad bitch?’
No mention of atrocity on website
It must also be said that a full thirty-six hours after the attack at her gig, there was still no mention of it, or any expression of condolence for the victims, anywhere on her website. That may well be an oversight and could have been rectified by the time you read this.
The BBC quotes Ariana Grande as being ‘broken’ by the attack. The Independent said she was suspending her ‘Dangerous Woman’ world tour. It now seems to be back on. But she wants to pay for the victims’ funerals. How weird an expression of empathy is that? Mind you, that story is in the Daily Mail so it might not be true.
Prayer and Action
Once more, we have to call on parents to be aware of those who are influencing your children and exercise some control. You are responsible for them:
Ephesians 6:4 And, ye fathers, provoke not your children to wrath: but bring them up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord.
And please pray for our security services. They can only foil such attacks if things go well for them. I addressed some of these in this Brexit-themed video, ‘EU: Does the Lord Keep the City‘?
Psalm 127:1 Except the LORD build the house, they labour in vain that build it: except the LORD keep the city, the watchman waketh but in vain.
Does Manchester’s yearly gay pride parade make it the sort of city which will enjoy the Lord’s protection? As for Ariana Grande, does one really have to be an IS supporter to recognise debauchery in her work as well? Or do you just need a moral compass?
The anti-transgender bus is currently impounded in Madrid
A bus with an anti-transgender message in Spanish has been banned from Barcelona and not allowed to move in Madrid.
And now a judge has supported Madrid’s capture of the bus, reports the BBC. Jose Juan Escalonilla said the bus could not move until the slogans, including “if you are born a man, you are a man”, were removed.
The story made Breitbart, after which the BBC and RT took it up. Secularists, of course, are incensed. RT’s story gives more detail and pictures some anti-Christian slogans photo-shopped onto the original bus image.

In fact the slogans go further than that. The bus was painted in response to an advertisement placed by ‘trans’ activists featuring a crude cartoon of two boys and two girls, all naked, in which one of each sex is pictured with the genitalia of the other. In a sop to normality, the ‘boy’ figures have short hair, the ‘girl’ ones long hair. The BBC link above reprints the cartoon.
It said: “Hay niñas con pene y niños con vulva. Así de sencillo”. ‘Hay’ is ‘there are’, ‘niñas’ is ‘girls’, ‘niños’ is ‘boys’ while ‘Así de sencillo’ means ‘It’s that simple’. You can work out the obvious words for genitals.

But is it that simple? The bus disagreed: ‘Los niños tienen penes, las niñas tienen vulva, que no te engañen”. “Si naces hombre, eres hombre. Si eres mujer, seguirás siéndolo”.
To help you translate, ‘tienen’ is ‘they have’. ‘que no te engañen’ means ‘Don’t be fooled’. Breitbart helps us with the rest: ‘If you are born a man, you are a man. If you are a woman, you will still be one.’
The bus was impounded under municipal rules against outdoor advertising. The judge did not find the bus went as far as being a hate crime. However, he said the bus was an “act of contempt”. Moreover, it was meant to “injure” the dignity of people of a different sexual orientation, according to Spanish newspaper El Pais.
Furthermore, Señor Escalonilla said the bus may not move until the slogans are removed.
Make yourself heard

The bus belongs to a Catholic group, Hazte Oir, but it was funded anonymously. The group plans to take it on a nationwide tour of Spanish cities.
Ignacio Arsuaga, the president of Hazte Oir, which translates as “Make yourself heard”, argued the group had a right to protest against “laws of sexual indoctrination” and had the right to freedom of speech, says the BBC.
The group contend Madrid City Council’s “kidnap” of the bus was “clearly illegal”.
Mr Arsuaga claimed the slogan on the bus stated only “a fact of biology that is studied in schools”.
The Mayor of Barcelona said the controversial coach would not be welcome there. He wrote on Twitter: “In Barcelona there is no place for LGBT-phobic buses. We want our children to grow in freedom and without hatred.”
Of course, in the rarified atmosphere of gender identity, anti-transgender people speaking the truth have no defence against a charge of ‘hatred’.

But seriously, as if singing within your range is not serious, we all, from the President down, need to take a stand.
We all need to say very clearly that no amount of hormone drugs and no grotesque surgical mutilation will ever stop a man being genetically a man and a woman remaining genetically a woman. After all, if you seriously and honestly believed you were Long John Silver, would you really expect doctors to cut off your leg and buy you a parrot? Medicine is given because someone is ill. Doctors should heal, not destroy. Of course ‘Trans’ people have issues, but they need help to accept their body at a psychological, emotional and dare we say spiritual level. Some may even need deliverance. But none needs the surgeon’s knife.

In the UK of course, the House of Commons started the rot in 2004. Regrettably, they passed the Gender Recognition Act in that fateful year. Under it, men and women can now go back and falsify their birth certificates.
As a result, Parliament legislated a lie. So welcome to the ‘post-truth’ world.
Pray for the truth to triumph. Pray for righteousness to prevail in a world parting company with reality. You could pray the bus is released and continues on its prophetic journey through Spain. Pray it wakes us all up and starts a movement. Above all, never forget always to refer to people by their God-given gender, never by their assumed one!

Pressure to legalise abortion is growing world-wide, thanks to international funding led by financier George Soros, Christian Voice has discovered.
The billionaire is behind moves to repeal a pro-life constitutional amendment in the Republic of Ireland. He is almost certainly also involved with a Dutch abortion boat run by the ‘Women on Waves’ group.

Today, news broke that police in Guatemala have blocked a yacht offering abortion pills. Accordingly, Women on Waves, run by Dutch national Rebecca Gomperts, may not disembark the vessel. Police are also preventing anyone boarding. President Jimmy Morales deployed the army. A spokesman said it would defend “human life and the laws of our country” by preventing the group from carrying out abortions.
Reuters reports that the abortifacient dispensed ‘combines two medicines, mifepristone and misoprostol’. The news agency said: ‘It is more than 90 percent effective for women up to 10 weeks pregnant’.
The boat takes women out to international waters to administer the drug. It only docks in countries where abortion is illegal. But it is as much a publicity stunt as a ‘pro-choice’ facility.
Where does the money come from?
Women on Waves is coy about where the money comes from. Nevertheless, this document from a court dispute gives some details. It says Women on Waves ‘has received grants from organizations including the Global Fund for Women (United States), the Mondrian Foundation (Netherlands), and the Mama Cash Foundation (Netherlands)’.

To add to the mix, the Dutch humanist HIVOS group gave money towards a film about Women on Waves. Mama Cash, a source of money for anti-Christian projects worldwide, was also listed. The Soros Open Society says it provides joint funding with HIVOS. Where you find HIVOS you will usually find Soros. The world of antichrist funding groups is highly incestuous.
Meanwhile, abortionists are agitating in Ireland. The Republic passed the pro-life ‘Eighth Amendment’ of the Constitution of Ireland in 1983 by a two to one majority. The Amendment gives explicit recognition to the right to life of an unborn child. Accordingly, it effectively introduced a constitutional ban on abortion.
Strike4Repeal activists have similarities to previous Soros initiatives
But there is pressure to repeal the Amendment. Activists feel emboldened by the Republic’s vote to allow ‘gay marriage’ in 2015. They believe the times they are a-changing enough to secure a majority to scrap ‘the Eighth’. Nevertheless, there is hostility to them. Strangely enough, an LGBT group is among their opponents.
As part of the campaign, a group of girls who do not appear to have done much work are calling for a ‘strike of women.’No doubt the mainstream media will give ‘Strike4Repeal‘ huge publicity on 8th March 2017.
But who is funding Strike4Repeal? LifeSiteNews reports: Soros’ New York City-based Open Foundations document focuses on repealing the pro-life Eighth Amendment’. Consequently, he will give ‘heavy funding for the Abortion Rights Campaign, Amnesty International Ireland, and the Irish Family Planning Association. Above all, Soros intends they will “work collectively on a campaign to repeal Ireland’s (Eighth) constitutional amendment.”

But does Strike4Repeal receive Soros money? Firstly, any group like that needs money to carry out its campaign. Secondly, there are parallels between the modus operandi of Strike4Repeal and previous Soros agitations. He funded Pussy Riot and Femen who adopt similar poses (albeit bare-breasted in the case of Femen) and shock tactics. He was behind protests against Donald Trump’s inauguration. Thirdly, a Soros’ foundations document says ‘legalization of same-sex “marriage” presents “valuable and timely opportunities to advance the (pro-abortion) campaign.”’ Fourthly, it just has Soros fingerprints all over it.
One thing we can be certain of. Pro-abortion movements, like pro-sodomy ngos, do not spring up in countries out of the blue. They are rarely indigenous. There is always money from external affluent western ‘philanthropists’ behind them. If it is not Soros it is Hivos, or Mama Cash. If not them, Ford Foundation or Gates Foundation step in. Or Carnegie. Or the Rockefeller or Tides Foundaton. Similarly, the Atlantic Philanthropies may contribute. Or the Gulbenkian Foundation.

Please pray at this time particularly for Guatemala and the Republic of Ireland to stand firm against the abortionist assault. The Bible says: Proverbs 16:12 It is an abomination to kings to commit wickedness: for the throne is established by righteousness.
We read that only Christ will bring in perfect government, but that does not mean earthly governments should not try to rule by God’s standards: Hebrews 1:8 But unto the Son he saith, Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever: a sceptre of righteousness is the sceptre of thy kingdom.
As to the antichrist NGOs, the Bible says: Proverbs 25:5 Take away the wicked from before the king, and his throne shall be established in righteousness.
The Bible says of king Ahaz: 2Chr 28:3 Moreover he burnt incense in the valley of the son of Hinnom, and burnt his children in the fire, after the abominations of the heathen whom the LORD had cast out before the children of Israel.
The passage is speaking about child sacrifice. Abortion is our modern version of it. Many nations including Great Britain are now polluted because of this shedding of innocent blood. Israel did the same, as the Psalmist declares: Psalm 106:38 And shed innocent blood, even the blood of their sons and of their daughters, whom they sacrificed unto the idols of Canaan: and the land was polluted with blood. So pray also for repentance in those nations who have legalised this abomination, for the slaughter to stop.

Charles Keidan and Rebecca Steinfeld brought a case demanding the right to enter into a Civil Partnership. Currently, under the Civil Partnership Act, only homosexuals can apply. Or to be more specific, unrelated persons of the same sex.
Civil Partnership Act
Civil Partners are granted all the rights of marriage. They are free of inheritance tax on property which passes from one to the other on the death of a party to the ‘partnership’. They are also excused from being compelled to testify against each other. In general, neither can be compelled to give evidence against the other. That exemption could be crucial in a sexual abuse case involving a third party, for example.
The Act was meant to convey all the benefits of marriage. At the time it was passed, the Government of the day, under Tony Blair, gave a number of undertakings. Among them was an assurance that marriage for homosexual couples was out of the question. Heterosexuals had marriage, homosexuals had civil partnership, they said.
However, one parliament cannot bind a successor. David Cameron’s Conservatives legislated for ‘gay marriage’ in 2012. And of course all Tony Blair’s promises counted for nothing. Nor did the Tories do away with civil partnerships in the process. So homosexuals now have two options for state recognition of their relationship and heterosexuals just one. That is what Charles Keidan and Rebecca Steinfeld argued was unfair. And the judges agreed it breaches their right to a family life.
Government considering their options
Nevertheless, the couple did not secure a ruling that the situation was unlawful. The Government are considering their options at the moment. They are looking into the whole situation of civil partnerships in the light of gay marriage. That saved them.
But as Rebecca Steinfeld said after the hearing, the matter cannot stand as it is. There is an inequality. So what should we pray the Government do?
They can hardly repeal the Civil Partnership Act. Numerous homosexual couples took advantage of it. Most believied it was all they were going to get. Some have ‘converted’ their partnerships into ‘gay marriage’. But others reject the symbolism of marriage. Perhaps they are more astute.
But that leaves heterosexual couples who perhaps don’t care for the ‘patriarchy’ of marriage out on a limb. if Parliament extends civil partnerships to them, the Government will lose millions in inheritance tax. And what about spinster sisters living together? Should they include them as well?
What should we pray for?
We are like the travellers trying to reach a West Country town from deep in the Devon lanes. They asked a local man what route they should take. ‘Well’, he said, ‘If I was you, I wouldn’t be a-starting from ‘ere’.
Our Government instituted wickedness with the Civil Partnership Act. They made matters worse with the Marriage (Same Sex Couples) Act. Anything they do now will devalue marriage further. So what can we pray for except wholesale repentance? Leave your comment below, please!

Tom Daley finished last in his semi-final after leading the field.
After ‘That Tweet’ about how Tom Daley turning gay did him no favours at #Rio2016 a number of people were really sure God did not judge Daley in the diving pool for turning gay. Some said God wouldn’t judge him, either because ‘being gay’ isn’t a sin or because God can’t be bothered to intervene in the affairs of men, some said God couldn’t, some said there’s no God anyway, and some were just abusive.
So I thought I should brave this maelstrom and state my personal position on what I believe the Bible says.
DALEY PROMOTING HIMSELF AND HIS HOMOSEXUALITY
Tom Daley was talked about as a potential gold medal-winner before all the athletes set off. He said himself: ‘I’m going into this Olympic Games for a gold medal.’
I last wrote about Daley in December 2013, when he decided he was ‘gay’ after becoming involved with one Dustin Black. He came back into view as his gayness and his fait accompli individual gold medal were all over the media as Rio2016 approached.
The papers loved the relentless opportunities he gave them to photograph him with his twice-as-old boyfriend. There were pictures of Daley and Black holding hands, going shopping, eating out, being on the cover of sodomy magazines, kissing (yuk), talking about being ‘engaged’ to be gay-married, even about ‘having children’ together (which thing can’t biologically be done, but let that pass).

DIVING IS ALL IN THE MIND
At Rio 2016, Daley achieved a bronze medal with Dan Goodfellow in the men’s synchronised 10m platform. Even then, as Felicity Morse noted in iNews, newspaper coverage of the medal was all about Daley. Goodfellow was literally left out of the picture in both the Daily Telegraph and the Daily Mail. But when it came to the individual dive, from 1st place in the preliminary round, Daley slumped to last place in the semi-final.
From what I can see about diving, you can do all the training you want, and you have to, but at the crucial moment, it really is all in the mind. As he was lining up for what would turn out to be his last Rio2016 dive, something scrambled Tom Daley’s.
What that was, we shall probably never know. I might say ‘God did it’, while someone else will attribute it to a random thought (but where did that thought come from?) and others will say it was just an off-day. But even they will have to concede that to go from first place to last is a bit dramatic.
THE SPIRITUAL AFFECTS THE NATURAL
Here’s the theological question: Does one’s belief set really affect one’s life outcomes? Does pride go before a fall? Can the spiritual dimension of life affect the natural? Sceptics will say, ‘Of course not!’
We know from Matthew 5:45 that the sun shines on the evil and the good, and the rain falls on the just and the unjust. But that is the common grace of God. What about the Lord’s specific dealings with individuals? The Bible records God saying to Eli the priest:
1Samuel 2:30b but now the LORD saith, … them that honour me I will honour, and they that despise me shall be lightly esteemed.
Eli’s sons were apostate and his family was wiped out soon after. The prophecy came true.
The book of Psalms opens by saying:
Psalm 1:1 Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. 2 But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night. 3 And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper. 4 The ungodly are not so: but are like the chaff which the wind driveth away.
Like it or not, and if you are homosexual or liberal or from Plymouth you probably won’t, but Tom Daley is in the verse 4 category. And if anyone wants to say I am ‘judging’ him, just put ‘Tom Daley” into an internet search engine.

THE SIN OF SODOMY
It’s the word of God which is judging him, not me. Sodomy is said to be sinful all through the Bible. God brought judgment on Sodom itself. Men doing shameful acts with other men is condemned in the New Testament (Romans 1:24-27). The Lord Jesus said:
Mark 10:6 But from the beginning of the creation God made them male and female. 7 For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and cleave to his wife; 8 And they twain shall be one flesh: so then they are no more twain, but one flesh.
All I am doing is warning. The ministry I lead has been warning our nation of the effects of our corporate sin for over twenty years. We do it because we care about our nation and those in it.
Promoting sodomy and gay-marriage, as Daley does, is especially sinful. That is because it affects the cultural environment of impressionable young people. The ‘Daley-effect’ can make an adolescent boy think he is gay when he is actually passing through a phase of same-sex attraction. Tom Daley’s failure to win an Olympic gold medal has at least mitigated that effect to an extent.
JUDGMENT IS COMING
Of course there are those who are just as wicked who appear to get away with it all their lives. On the other hand, there are good people who suffer. Squaring those outcomes with the principle of Psalm 1 exercised the protagonists in the book of Job. The psalmist asked the question pointedly in Psalm 73, and Solomon in Ecclesiastes:
Eccl 7:15 All things have I seen in the days of my vanity: there is a just man that perisheth in his righteousness, and there is a wicked man that prolongeth his life in his wickedness.
But we have, as Job and the psalmists did, to keep to the Psalm 1 hope that anyone who turns away from the advice of the ungodly, who doesn’t hang around with those who are breaking God’s laws and who doesn’t mock or scorn God will be blessed and whatsoever he does will prosper in his time on earth. They were certain that judgment is coming eventually.
GOD REWARDS THOSE WHO SEEK HIM
The same spiritual principle operates in the New Testament. The book of Hebrews says those who diligently seek God will be rewarded:
Hebrews 11:6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.
The Lord Jesus himself spoke of rewards from following him, and he said they would happen in this life:
Luke 18:29 And he said unto them, Verily I say unto you, There is no man that hath left house, or parents, or brethren, or wife, or children, for the kingdom of God’s sake, 30 Who shall not receive manifold more in this present time, and in the world to come life everlasting.
Does that mean salvation itself is earned? No, it has all been done on the cross by Jesus:
1Corinthians 2:2 For I determined not to know any thing among you, save Jesus Christ, and him crucified.
Ephesians 2:8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
PUT YOUR TRUST IN JESUS
To be saved, you simply put all your trust, all your faith, in Jesus:
Romans 10:9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
Salvation is available to everyone who calls on the name of Jesus:
Romans 10:13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.
That applies to every one of us. If you do not yet believe that the Lord Jesus died on the cross to forgive you your sins, and that his resurrection will fill you with new life, call on his name right now, believe in him and tell everyone (that’s what the confess bit means) that he is your Saviour.
WHAT WOULD JESUS SAY?
What would Jesus say to Tom Daley? Carry on sinning? No, he would say what he said already:
Mark 1:14 Now after that John was put in prison, Jesus came into Galilee, preaching the gospel of the kingdom of God, 15 And saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel.
‘Repent and believe the Gospel’. Jesus says that still to every sinner today. You may think you are doing well, but God can still pull you down. If you spit in the face of God often enough and long enough, judgment is coming.
Salvation is a gift from God. It carries with it eternal life in heaven, in the presence of God, by the blood of Jesus Christ, the perfect lamb of God.
WOULD DALEY BE A BETTER DIVER IF HE TURNED TO CHRIST?
But the Bible also teaches there is a reward in this life for obedience to God’s laws. You succeed in life by following Kingdom principles.
Even the New Agers, drawing on Hinduism, have their idea of ‘Karma’. Our human spirit cries out that if there is no reward for virtue and no judgment for sin, what is the point of trying to lead a good life, however you define it? Is it all in the next life? No, the Bible teaches it is in the here and now as well.
So do I believe Tom Daley would be a better diver if he turned to Christ and renounced his homosexuality as a result of conviction of sin? Of course I do! By harnessing the power of prayer, he would find the Lord would help to focus his mind before every dive. God can do that, you know!
In addition, although Tom Daley would be persecuted by the gays for betrayal, he would have the peace of God in his heart. He would have the blessed assurance, as the hymn puts it, of salvation. I believe he would be a better diver, but even if I’m wrong in that, the sweet knowledge of salvation outweighs everything else this life affords.

The mother of two young Christian men accused of sexual assault against an eight-year-old girl told a court yesterday that nothing would happen in her home without her knowledge.
ALLEGATIONS OF RAPE
The girl alleges she was assaulted, indeed that she was raped in every possible way, by both defendants and their two younger siblings over a period of two years. This was a time, Wolverhampton Crown Court has heard, when the girl’s parents had split up. Her father had asked his cousin, the boys’ father, for child care for his daughter while he worked night shifts. That was how she came to be in the family’s home.
The girl first made her allegations when her mother confronted her about an obscene video she had made of herself. One of the defendants had caused her to do it, she said. Judge John Wait listened as the mother said her daughter said she was raped by the defendant. In a subsequent police interview, she categorically denied anyone else had been involved. But in a further police interview, she identified his older brother and then two younger siblings as assailants as well. In their statements, all denied any involvement.
MOTHER WOULD HEAR EVERY NOISE IN THE HOUSE
In court, under cross-examination, both young men continued to deny there had been any contact of a sexual nature between them and the girl, that she had ever watched anything on their mobile phones, that they had ever been alone with her let alone that she had been in their bedrooms with them, as she alleged.
Their father in his evidence spoke of ground rules in the house which said the girl was never to go into boys’ bedrooms in their home.
Their mother said that although one of the boys might run a bath for the girl, she would always undress and take her bath alone. She said she would hear every noise in the house, and would be aware of movements such as people going to the toilet, even when asleep. The girl slept in their bedroom. When the family moved to a bigger house, she slept in a bedroom with their four-year-old.
GIRL HAD WATCHED PORNOGRAPHY WITH FRIEND
It emerged earlier that a somewhat older female friend, connected with the girl’s mother, had shown pornography to the girl. Astonishingly, this older girl was never interviewed by the police nor her vital evidence presented in court.
Late in the day, one of the charges of sexual assault was dramatically dropped against the older defendant after the prosecution admitted the girl had made the allegation in one part of her evidence and then denied it in another.
At the start of the case, a doctor’s examination had found her hymen intact and no evidence of the systematic penetration she alleged had happened over the course of two years. This resulted in charges of rape and buggery being dropped on the opening day of the trial.
Forensic evidence was inconclusive. Forensic Scientist Mary Carr told the court in a statement her ‘scientific findings do not assist in to determining whether or not (one of the defendants) engaged in sexual activity with (the girl)’.
The evidence of an expert child psychologist obtained by the defence was not admitted by Judge Wait as he said it would cloud the minds of the jury of five men and seven women.
JUSTICE ACCORDING TO LAWS OF GOD
So the case will come down to her word against his – or theirs. That is not how justice is supposed to operate according to the laws of God:
Deuteronomy 19:15 One witness shall not rise up against a man for any iniquity, or for any sin, in any sin that he sinneth: at the mouth of two witnesses, or at the mouth of three witnesses, shall the matter be established.
Whether our lower standard of ‘beyond reasonable doubt’ is met will be decided by the jury. They will hear summing-up statements from prosecutor Paul Spratt and defence barristers Michael Edmonds and Victoria Meads on Monday morning before retiring to consider their verdict.
We are not allowed to identify the girl accuser in this case. We have chosen not to identify the defendants for reasons of equity and fairness.

Liam Nolan addresses the Conservative Party Conference, possibly in 2012.
A much feted self-styled ‘superhead’ will be stripped of the schools in Birmingham under his command following the discovery of financial mismanagement, but is extraordinarily going to keep his job as headteacher, according to reports.
Nolan subsequently fronted a Stonewall conference encouraging teachers to follow his example. It was called ‘Education for all’ with the subtitle ‘challenging homophobia and supporting young people.’
The Guardian reports Nolan and his Perry Beeches Academies Trust will be stripped of the five academies he runs as chief executive.
The Education Funding Agency investigated only after whistleblower allegations about the financial connection between Nolan and a supply company, Nexus Schools Ltd. The EFA Report found ‘Nexus Schools Ltd’ received £1.3m from the Government and paid another company, ‘Liam Nolan Ltd’, £160,000 over two years to add to his £120,000 per year salary as head teacher.
The Birmingham Mail reports that Liam Nolan has stepped down as the Academies Trust’s chief executive following a call from Birmingham Councillor Brigid Jones for the trustees to consider their positions.

The BBC reports that politicians from Michael Gove, as Education Secretary, and David Cameron praised Liam Nolan. The Prime Minister even invited the stalwart Labour supporter to address the Conservative Party Conference then opened his third academy, Perry Beeches III. This was despite their knowing about Nolan’s promotion of sodomy at Perry Beeches and his conviction for outraging public decency by a jury at Wolverhampton Crown Court in June 2007 where he was fined £1,000 with £1,500 costs. The man he was with was fined £250. At the time Nolan described himself as ‘gay’ and said he was ‘in a relationship’.
Nolan’s willingness to engage with the academy programme made him the Government’s poster-boy. But now that his sexual immorality has spilled over into financial mismanagement, critics are pointing out that the academies idea is open to anyone who wants to make a quick buck to take advantage of the system.

Hampstead Heath, a stone’s throw from West Hampstead, where Dr Nazeem Mahmood lived.
A homosexual campaigner is today concluding a walk from London to Birmingham.
Matthew Ogston has walked from West Hampstead in London to Handsworth in Birmingham, finishing today, to publicise his new charity ‘Naz and Matt’ campaigning against what he calls ‘gay conversion therapy’ and for parents to accept their children’s homosexuality against their religious principles.
Mr Ogston was the homosexual boyfriend of one Dr Mahmood, a specialist in cosmetic procedures, who fell from the balcony of his penthouse in West Hampstead on 30th July 2014.
An inquest heard that Dr Mahmood took his own life just two days after confiding in his Muslim mother for the first time about his sexuality.
The court was told she suggested he saw a psychiatrist to find a ‘cure’ when he revealed his sexuality.
My view is that Ogston is selfish and deluded.

Any death is a tragedy, and Dr Mahmood’s is no exception. Suicide is the biggest cause of death for young men in Britain today. Given that, to blame Dr Mahmood’s suicide on his mother’s failure to embrace her son’s perverted lifestyle is far too convenient. There could have been any number of reasons aggregating in his mind.
Matthew Ogston is deluded, claiming to hear Dr Mahmood’s voice from “beyond the grave” telling him specifically to set up a campaigning charity.
He is also selfish, showing no sensitivity to Dr Mahmood’s family, who will rightly feel great shame over their son’s suicide and emotional problems and must be dismayed that his death is now being dragged through the mud in public as a political football.
It is undeniable that men and women have walked away from homosexual attractions through the power of the Christian Gospel. Whether Islam is any help in such a process is open to debate, but the Christian faith offers enormous support to those seeking to reach their emotional potential. No-one has to “stay gay”.
Sandwell Valley is next-door to Handsworth, Matthew Ogston’s destination.
Mr Ogston is quoted as saying: “Being gay is loving someone, it’s not a disease, there’s nothing to be cured, it’s about love nothing else should matter.” A father and son or two brothers normally express their love without feeling the need to interfere with each other. No, ‘being gay’ is not just ‘about love’, it’s about emotional disorder, sexual abuse and perverting God’s created order.
By a strange coincidence, West Hampstead is just a stone’s throw from one homosexual cruising area, and Handsworth borders onto another. Most homosexual male couples engage in activities outside their primary relationship, for reasons which need not detain us at this moment. Just saying …

Education secretary Nicky Morgan has commissionednew guidance to schools for giving lessons about consent and rape to 11-year-olds. The new guidelines will start after the Easter holidays.
Scheduled to be taught in PSHE classes, the new lessons are supposed to givechildren “a better understanding of the society around them” so they can make smart choices and stay safe.
In an online statement, the PSHEA said: “The key learning set out in this guidance is respecting the rights of others, communication, negotiation and consider[ing] the freedom and capacity of others to make choices.” The association also said that students would learn that sexual activity for those under the age of 16 was illegal.
Additionally, students will learn about whether or not consent is attainable when a person is drunk, and the issue of gay rape will also be added to the curriculum later this year. Many of the lesson plans involve situational ethics and encourage the student to discuss what is right or wrong in these circumstances. For example, one of the questions is: “What misconceptions about consent would an alien get if their only evidence was from pornography?”
The Government has given formal guidelines for the classes, saying that the topic should be broached “before young people are sexually active,” because it will be ineffective after that. The proposal made sure to mention how acknowledgment of sexually active young people is not the same as “encouraging underage sexual activity.”
Ms Morgan publicized the measures on International Women’s Day and stressed that the curriculum will be age appropriate and in line with British values. The goal is to give instructors the tools and confidence to teach these difficult topics.
These guidelines were introduced amid growing concerns for the safety of children, particularly girls. Rising numbers of child “sexting” and child exploitation cases in Rotherham and Oxford are just some of the issues being cited.
Writing in The Sunday Times, Ms Morgan stated: ‘Mothers at the school gates often tell me about their worries for their daughters. They tell me that on top of the usual stress of school life and teenage years, they want to know their girls are being taught what a healthy relationship looks like and how to say “no.”‘
However, other parents are concerned that these classes could put even more pressure on children to engage in sexual activity at a young age, causing an “erosion of childhood.”
Family Education Trust spokeswoman Sarah Carter disagreed with the proposed effectiveness lessons, saying: ‘I work with vulnerable teenagers who have been groomed and this is not going to protect them. This creates the idea that you will find yourself in this situation so make sure you give express consent.’
This curriculum is not mandatory, and the PSHE Association has expressed disapproval of the fact that Morgan has made a harder push for these classes to be required in all schools.
The 60-page guidelines contain eight suggested lessons for teachers. By the end of the course students will understand what sexual consent is and what constitutes a healthy relationship (significantly, however, students are not taught that it is marriage that constitutes a healthy sexual relationship). Despite these efforts, many are concerned that ‘consent lessons’ will do virtually nothing to help children stay safe, particularly girls. In a rape situation the assailant is not going to desist simply because the person he is attacking does not give consent. That is why child exploitation is a problem in the first place. The lessons do not address the root of the problem, which is men who think it is acceptable to take advantage of a child or woman. Instead, all these lessons will accomplish will be to lower important the barriers of innocent children by prematurely introducing them to the disordered side of sexuality.
In the cases of sexual activity between school children, schools should do more to promote chastity. Just because children engage in underage sexual activity does not mean it is right or normal, even if the parties involved have both consented.

The terrible Malaysian airline disaster has focused attention on the 20th International AIDS Conference in Melbourne, Australia. After reports that over a hundred activists were on the tragic plane bound for the Conference, it turns out that there were just six.
But what of the conference, which is running as we go to press? Is it merely a symposium for good-hearted people who want to develop medicines to combat HIV and AIDS? Well, no, it isn’t. It is also a grindingly right-on campaigning forum advancing special rights for homosexuals, drug abusers and prostitutes.
Aung San Suu Kyi has allowed her name to be attached to the amoral Melbourne Declaration
The Declaration opens with a pretentious nod to the Animist Australian Aborigines:
‘We gather in Melbourne, the traditional meeting place of the Wurundjeri, Boonerwrung, Taungurong, Djajawurrung and the Wathaurung people, the original and enduring custodians of the lands that make up the Kulin Nation, to assess progress on the global HIV response and its future direction, at the 20th International AIDS Conference, AIDS 2014.’
The Declaration begins by claiming ‘that non-discrimination is fundamental to an evidence-based, rights-based and gender transformative response to HIV and effective public health programmes’. If it going to be ‘rights-based’ and to mess around with gender roles, one supposes that the elimination of discrimination, or of making any moral judgments at all, must be fundamental.
It then states that ‘nobody should be criminalized or discriminated against because of their gender, age, race, ethnicity, disability, religious or spiritual beliefs, country of origin, national status, sexual orientation, gender identity, status as a sex worker, prisoner or detainee, because they use or have used illicit drugs or because they are living with HIV.’
So Governments should not pass laws against prostitution or using illicit drugs? ‘Illicit’ means ‘forbidden by law, rules, or custom’. Drugs are ‘illicit’ because they are illegal. If you do something illegal you are criminalised.
Dr Joep Lange died in the Malaysian aircraft disaster.
The Declaration affirms everyone’s right to treatment, but spoils it by clothing it in terms of ‘social justice, equality, human rights’ which can mean anything.
In fact, for the International AIDS Conference, it means a sexual and – taken with the call to decriminalise currently illicit drugs – a drug-crazed free-for-all:
‘In over 80 countries’, it moans, ‘there are unacceptable laws that criminalize people on the basis of sexual orientation. All people, including lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and intersex people are entitled to the same rights as everyone else. All people are born free and equal and are equal members of the human family’.
Uganda’s President Museveni recently signed a law to protect young people from homosexual propaganda.
Yes, they are, but if they break the law they need to be brought to justice. Would the Melbourne signatories complain about laws that criminalise people on the basis that they steal, or murder, or bear false witness, or deliberately infect others, or have sexual relations with children? It is hard not to wonder whether they might.
‘Governments must repeal repressive laws and end policies that reinforce discriminatory and stigmatizing practices that increase the vulnerability to HIV, while also passing laws that actively promote equality’, they say. No, they must keep in place and enforce laws which protect children from predatory homosexuals, particularly, in the developing world, from those from rich Western nations on the look-out for exotic children to corrupt for a couple of dollars.
The Melbourne signatories want to shut up politicians like Uganda’s President Museveni and Nigeria’s President Goodluck Jonathan who speak about decency and Biblical morality:
‘Decision makers must not use international health meetings or conferences as a platform to promote discriminatory laws and policies that undermine health and wellbeing.’ Perish the thought that any challenging view should ruffle the feathers of AIDS activists.
Zambia’s Youth Alive programme would lose funding for opposing the distribution of condoms.
And they are very keen to keep as much project funding as they can in the hands of politically- correct people like them:
‘The exclusion of organisations that promote intolerance and discrimination including sexism, homophobia, and transphobia against individuals or groups, from donor funding for HIV programmes.’
Church-based programmes may find it difficult in future to offer their care and expertise to those in need because the Melbourne Declaration, so keen on non-discrimination, wants to discriminate against them:
‘All healthcare providers must demonstrate the implementation of non-discriminatory policies as a prerequisite for future HIV programme funding.
‘Restrictions on funding, such as the anti-prostitution pledge and the ban on purchasing needles and syringes, must be removed as they actively impede the struggle to combat HIV, sexually transmitted infections, and hepatitis C among sex workers and people who inject drugs.’
The Melbourne people refuse to concede that those who would crack down on prostitution, refuse to distribute condoms and ban the sale of needles to drug addicts are doing it out of good-hearted concern for society at large and trying to protect those who might get caught up in destructive practices.
There is only one way of looking at the world in the Melbourne Declaration and it is an amoral, Western liberal godless way, with avarice clothed in a veneer of altruism. The Melbourne Declaration is not just a recipe for moral degeneration, it is an anti-Christian, self-righteous, self-serving and self-absorbed recipe for moral degeneration.
It is a pity that it has taken an air disaster and the loss of so many lives to bring it to light.

Elton John may never become any kind of Christian leader, but he still thinks he should be.
On Sunday, according to the Washington Times, the ageing celeb said ‘that Jesus Christ would support the idea of two gay priests tying the knot and that the celibacy vow among clergy is an “old and stupid” rule that should be abolished’.
Mr. John, who hopes to ‘marry’ his sodomite civil partner David Furnish some time next year, said gay clergy should be allowed to ‘marry’ and have sexual relationships.
“These are old and stupid things. If Jesus Christ was alive today, I cannot see him, as the Christian person that he was and the great person that he was, saying this could not happen,” he said.
Apparently, the greater and more ‘Christian’ one is on planet Elton, the more one agrees that the rectum is an appropriate receptacle for the male anatomy.
That only confirms Elton as confused, crass and clueless about the Christian faith.
The Lord Jesus cannot be described as a ‘Christian person’ and he is alive. He was and is the Son of God who ministered on earth as a Jewish Pharisee, upheld and taught the laws of God and died on a cross to bear the sins of as many as would believe in him, sexual sins like sodomy included.
There is little evidence that Elton John understands this and even less that he has repented of his acts of sodomy and/or gross indecency with David Furnish and countless others. His ignorance of the Lord Jesus knows no bounds:
“He was all about love and compassion and forgiveness and trying to bring people together, and that’s what the church should be about.”
Actually, the Jesus we read about in scripture, not the one who is a figment of Elton’s imagination, is ‘all about’ division:
Luke 3:16 John answered, saying unto them all, I indeed baptize you with water; but one mightier than I cometh, the latchet of whose shoes I am not worthy to unloose: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost and with fire: 17 Whose fan is in his hand, and he will throughly purge his floor, and will gather the wheat into his garner; but the chaff he will burn with fire unquenchable.
Luke 12:51 Suppose ye that I am come to give peace on earth? I tell you, Nay; but rather division:
John 7:40 Many of the people therefore, when they heard this saying, said, Of a truth this is the Prophet. 41 Others said, This is the Christ. But some said, Shall Christ come out of Galilee? 42 Hath not the scripture said, That Christ cometh of the seed of David, and out of the town of Bethlehem, where David was? 43 So there was a division among the people because of him.
John 9:16 Therefore said some of the Pharisees, This man is not of God, because he keepeth not the sabbath day. Others said, How can a man that is a sinner do such miracles? And there was a division among them.
As to ‘love and compassion and forgiveness’, Elton, yes, the Lord Jesus will forgive all your sins if you turn to him, but if if you persist in your sin and go around promoting it in your pride and arrogance he will be a consuming fire.
The love of Christ is not some mawkish, sentimental endorsement of whatever goes, but a calling to repentance:
Mark 1:14 Now after that John was put in prison, Jesus came into Galilee, preaching the gospel of the kingdom of God, 15 And saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel.
2John 1:6 And this is love, that we walk after his commandments. This is the commandment, That, as ye have heard from the beginning, ye should walk in it.
Sir Elton told Sky News that ‘the global fight for gay rights was stalling’ and that he planned to talk with Russian President Vladimir Putin in November.
“Globally, we seem to have gone backwards over the last 18 months,” he said. “I will see Putin and talk to him. I don’t know what good it will do though.”
Let us hope and pray that President Putin will tell Elton John the truth, that sodomy is a act of abuse, that homosexual desires are vile affections and that Jesus Christ can release him from his sinful life. Then their meeting, if it takes place at all, will have done some good.

Despite the best efforts of local campaigners, Christian Voice and the Christian Institute, whose representative spoke at the hearing last week, Councillors in Cornwall approved the ‘Mrs Palm’ sex-shop in Little Castle Street, Truro. See previous Christian Voice story. BBC report HERE.
Thirty Christian campaigners, who included Christian Voice members and the Cornwall Community Standards Association, attended the hearing.
In April the High Court allowed a judicial review of Cornwall Council’s decision to grant the initial licence.

The Christian Institute, acting for Truro resident and former County Councillor Mrs Armorel Carlyon claimed that Cornwall Council disregarded relevant material relating to the suitability of the location, next-door to school outfitters Trevails, who organised a petition.
At the time the shop was already stocked and trading.
The owners of the shop immediately applied for a ‘waiver’ to trade without a licence in the interim which was granted by the council’s miscellaneous licensing committee. The Christian Institute challenged that decision but failed to have it overturned.
At the new hearing on Wednesday 7th September, the licence was again approved by councillors by a vote of 5 to 2. Five Councillors, including the two women on the committee, Cllr Lisa Dolley (Vice-Chairman; Independent) and Cllr Liz Penhaligon (Conservative) failed to attend or vote. The second licence allows the owner to sell co-called ‘adult’ DVDs.
We understand that Christian campaigners have vowed to fight on and are seeking the Lord for the next step.
