Sir Keir Starmer, UK prime minister
Sir Keir Starmer has said the state will take more ‘control in people’s lives, according to the Telegraph.
The prime minister said this during his first speech at the Labour conference since entering N0 10.
Mr. Starmer’s declaration that the state will take greater ‘control’ over people’s lives marks a concerning turn toward excessive government control. Invoking the infamous Brexit slogan ‘take back control,‘ he aims to draw parallels between this approach and the perceived failures of free markets. However, this rhetoric signals a dangerous drift toward a nanny state, where individual freedoms are increasingly eroded in favour of top-down governance.
The PM’s plan to extend government oversight into areas such as the NHS, energy, justice, and education may seem, on the surface, like a practical response to ongoing crises, but it raises serious questions about the limits of state power. His eagerness to expand government involvement risks creating a system where personal autonomy is sacrificed for bureaucratic control. By framing the issue as one of ‘necessary trade-offs,’ the Labour leader implies that the public must surrender even more liberties to a state apparatus that has already demonstrated inefficiency in many of the very sectors he seeks to expand.
While he couches his intentions in the language of responsibility, the prime minister’s willingness to push aside public opposition—whether over controversial infrastructure projects like pylons or his handling of asylum seekers—suggests a troubling disregard for democratic input. It is one thing to lead decisively, but quite another to impose unpopular policies without fully considering the consequences for individual freedoms.
The Bible says, Proverbs 29:2 When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice: but when the wicked beareth rule, the people mourn.
Galatians 5:1: “Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage.
Keir Starmer’s comments on ‘immigration, particularly his claim that concerns about it are ‘legitimate,’ expose a glaring contradiction in his approach to policy. On one hand, he acknowledges the public’s frustrations over sectors that import labour despite an eager domestic workforce. Yet, at the same time, he seems intent on maintaining a flow of immigration, arguing that solving illegal migration will necessitate granting asylum to certain individuals. This contradictory stance offers little in the way of a coherent immigration strategy, and instead, plays both sides in an attempt to appeal to a broad voter base.
Sir Keir Starmer, UK prime minister
His critique of industries that rely on foreign labour while millions of young people remain unemployed is a hollow gesture when followed by his admission that Labour’s solution to illegal immigration involves inevitable ‘trade-offs’ in the form of accepting asylum seekers. Sir Kier’s willingness to critique but not rectify this labour imbalance speaks to his inability or unwillingness to confront the deeper structural issues that perpetuate these dynamics. It also ignores the potential strain on public services, which are already buckling under pressure, a reality many Britons are acutely aware of.
By positioning himself as both sympathetic to immigration concerns and a champion of asylum seekers, Sir Starmer fails to take a firm stand on a divisive issue. His approach suggests a leader more interested in preserving his political capital than in addressing the real, often uncomfortable, challenges that immigration poses for the nation. The result is a weak policy direction that lacks substance and fails to deliver the clarity voters deserve.
Jesus said; Matthew 23:3 All therefore whatsoever they bid you observe, that observe and do; but do not ye after their works: for they say, and do not.
2 Corinthians 3:17 Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.
The prime minister’s emphasis on ‘trade-offs’ throughout his speech is little more than an attempt to gloss over the real sacrifices his policies will demand from the British public. The construction of unsightly pylons in picturesque countryside to lower energy costs is but one example of the difficult compromises he insists are unavoidable. Yet, these so-called ‘necessary’ trade-offs are more a reflection of Labour’s inability to find innovative solutions than of genuine economic constraints.
Instead of exploring creative alternatives such as underground cabling or decentralised energy solutions, Mr. Starmer offers an oversimplified choice: accept visible environmental disruption, or face soaring costs. His framing of the issue suggests that Labour is resigned to following the path of least resistance, rather than leading with vision. The same logic applies to his stance on asylum seekers, where the ‘trade-off’ is simply presented as a foregone conclusion rather than a policy problem to be tackled head-on.
This defeatist approach undermines public trust. Sir Starmer is effectively telling the electorate that their concerns, whether about their local environment or immigration, are less important than the broader policy agenda. His approach suggests an inflexibility that not only lacks imagination but also reflects a deeper unwillingness to engage with alternative viewpoints. Rather than offering genuine leadership, his reliance on ‘trade-offs’ smacks of political expedience and a desire to dodge the tough decisions.
This tendency to impose harsh choices reflects poorly on a leader. In the Bible;
Proverbs 11:14 Where no counsel is, the people fall: but in the multitude of counsellors there is safety.
James 1:25 But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed.
Co-opting Brexit rhetoric to mask weak governance
One of the most cynical aspects of Mr. Starmer’s speech is his appropriation of the Brexit slogan ‘take back control.’ By recycling this phrase, he attempts to tap into the frustration many Britons feel about the failures of recent governments. However, instead of offering genuine solutions to the problems that have plagued the nation since Brexit, the PM’s version of ‘taking back control’ involves little more than increasing the state’s grip on everyday life.
It is hard to ignore the irony of the PM, who once supported remaining in the EU, now adopting the very language of the ‘Leave campaign’. His invocation of ‘control’ is nothing more than a hollow attempt to connect with voters who feel betrayed by the Conservative government’s failure to deliver on immigration and other promises. But rather than empowering individuals or communities, Sir Starmer’s vision is one where power is concentrated in government hands, with less autonomy and fewer freedoms for the public.
His co-opting of Brexit rhetoric may resonate with some disillusioned voters, but it raises the question of whether Labour truly offers a distinct alternative to the status quo. By focusing on expanding state control, Sir Starmer risks alienating voters who supported Brexit in the hopes of gaining more local and national sovereignty. Instead of delivering on those aspirations, he offers only a bigger, more intrusive government that is out of touch with the concerns of ordinary Britons.
The PM’s speech represents a troubling pivot toward an overreaching state that not only seeks to expand its influence but also ignores the real needs and desires of the electorate. By focusing on ‘trade-offs’ and symbolic rhetoric, Sir Starmer demonstrates a lack of innovation and a concerning disregard for personal freedoms. His leadership thus far seems less about addressing Britain’s deep-rooted challenges and more about consolidating power under the guise of taking back control.
The Bible warns against leaders who seek power for the sake of control.
1 Peter 5:3 Neither as being lords over God’s heritage, but being examples to the flock.

The depravity of trans ideology is becoming increasingly apparent as it takes over various aspects of society.
The Regent Street website, run astonishingly by the Crown Estate, thinks the proliferation of ‘Progress Pride’ flags on its patch is wonderful. But broadcaster James May describes them as ‘authoritarian’ and ‘oppressive’.
Social Media Platforms like TikTok are also at the forefront, promoting and glorifying sodomy and especially transgenderism to impressionable young audiences.
The influence extends beyond social media, infiltrating major corporations, the NHS, and other key institutions. This widespread promotion is not about ‘inclusivity’ but has taken a hedonistic and lustful turn, brooking, as Mr May observes, no dissent.
Tiktok in its “you belong here” article said: ‘We are inspired and uplifted by the vibrant diversity and talent of the LGBTQIA+ community on TikTok as they continue to create change, set trends, and empower over 1 billion people around the world. In honour of Pride Month, we are celebrating and recognising the collective visibility and power of our LGBTQIA+ community through You Belong Here, our 2024 Pride campaign.
‘Throughout this month, we’re thrilled to unveil a series of community celebrations and workshops, programmed hashtags, TikTok LIVE events and music playlists to celebrate our diverse LGBTQIA+ community on TikTok and beyond.
‘At TikTok, we’re committed to amplifying the voices of our diverse community of LGBTQIA+ creators as they reach new audiences, build careers, and create positive impact on and beyond the platform.’
TikTok gives LGBT creators ‘new shopping social experience’
TikTok has unveiled its annual lineup of ‘Visionary Voices,’ claiming to spotlight talent and provide ‘LGBTQ’ individuals a platform to showcase ‘queer-led’ businesses on TikTok Shop.
However, this initiative, presented as support for the ‘LGBTQ+ community’, often includes the display of naked and mutilated men in public spaces, even in front of children. Why indeed do the ‘pride’ participants always prance about half-naked?
Such exhibitions raise serious concerns about the impact on young viewers and the broader message being sent.
We must not allow this resurgence of behaviour reminiscent of Sodom and Gomorrah to persist. It is crucial to protect the integrity of public spaces and ensure that support for any community is expressed in a manner that respects all individuals, especially the impressionable youth.
The Bible says, Ezekiel 16:49,50 Behold, this was the iniquity of thy sister Sodom, pride, fulness of bread, and abundance of idleness was in her and in her daughters, neither did she strengthen the hand of the poor and needy..And they were haughty, and committed abomination before me: therefore I took them away as I saw good.
Dennis Kavanagh, veteran gay activist, has said Pride month, particularly this year’s, feels hollow to him because trans activists have high-jacked it at the expense of homosexuals:
‘In 2024, it’s hard to find any pride among the ‘LGBT activist’ community, as the betrayal of ‘gay youth’ in favour of gender ideology has become glaringly evident.
The Cass Review, released in April, uncovered the issues within the NHS’s treatment of ‘gender confused’ children.
It highlighted how the NHS’s Gender Identity Development Services (GIDS) pushed troubled, often youth into undergoing significant hormonal and drug treatments. When these young people, who were attracted to the same sex, needed support from the so called ‘gay rights movement’, they were let down.
The Bible says, Proverbs 16:18 Pride goeth before destruction, and an haughty spirit before a fall.
Mr Kavanagh asked: ‘How effective can the ‘gay rights’ movement be if it permits the chemical castration of its future generation?
‘How powerful can a movement be if it tolerates the deplatforming, harassment, and dismissal of ‘lesbians’ such as Kathleen Stock or Julie Bindel for opposing gender ideology?’
As the Bible says, Galatians 6:7 Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.
Dr. Jordan Peterson, an outspoken critic of gender-affirming surgery, has said the annual ‘celebration of sexuality’ is foisted on people across the globe.
Speaking to FOX news he said, ‘You should be very careful what you name things, and “pride” is not a virtue”.
‘Pretty much all of it’s a lie, and it’s a dangerous lie, and it’s a lie with real monsters hovering on the edges. Pride is a cardinal sin, and there’s a reason for that.’
He went further to remind everyone the meaning of pride as being ‘something like stubborn refusal to change when evidence of error is accruing, and it’s not a good thing.’
Dr. Peterson said people object to his point by noting that LGBTQ people simply want to affirm their own identity, and they don’t mean “pride” the way it’s used when mentioned as a sin.
‘Fair enough, I suppose, to some degree, but that was the name that was chosen, and that’s the name that stuck. There’s a real tinge of narcissism, sexual narcissism, about the whole pride spectacle,’ he continued. “Do people have the right to express their sexuality the way they see fit? To some degree, if it’s consensual and among adults, but generally among human beings with any degree of civilised comportment whatsoever, it’s a pretty damn private affair.’
It’s also the case that identity based on something as narrow as sexual desire, let’s say, aren’t identities at all. They’re pronouncements of subjection to instinctual whim,” Peterson said.
The Bible says. Psalm 9:17 The wicked shall be turned into hell, and all the nations that forget God.
Further, People with different views are either punished by loosing their means of livelihood or tagged as ‘homophobic’.
Recently, Christians in the UK have faced increasing criticism and accusations of ‘hate speech’. Many have reported losing their jobs and positions for speaking out against sodomy.
This backlash reflects a significant shift in societal attitudes, where traditional views are often met with harsh consequences.
Parents are also grappling with the mandatory inclusion of age-inappropriate content in ‘comprehensive sex education’ programs. They feel compelled to let their children be exposed to topics they believe are unsuitable for their age. Additionally, children are now allowed to identify as any gender or even animal they choose, with schools introducing gender-neutral uniforms and teaching the concept that ‘love is love’.
These changes have sparked considerable debate and concern. The pressure on Christians for their beliefs and the push for progressive education reforms highlight the tension between upholding traditional values and ’embracing modern inclusive ideologies’.
Our Lord tells us what love is, 1 John 4:16 And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him.
1 John 4:16 And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him.
Pray for Britain
As the UK prepares for its general elections, campaign promises have been made by the Conservatives to protect single sex spaces, women and girls, to eradicate the teachings of age-inappropriate content for children, checkmate ‘trans’ideologies and restore sanity.
As the Bible says, Ecclesiastes 5:7-9 Talk is cheap, like daydreams and other useless activities. Fear God instead.
We must pray for whoever the Lord chooses to lead this country to do that with the fear and wisdom of God.
Isaiah 26:02 Open ye the gates, that the righteous nation which keepeth the truth may enter in.

Pressure to legalise abortion is growing world-wide, thanks to international funding led by financier George Soros, Christian Voice has discovered.
The billionaire is behind moves to repeal a pro-life constitutional amendment in the Republic of Ireland. He is almost certainly also involved with a Dutch abortion boat run by the ‘Women on Waves’ group.
A Guatemalan guard faces members of Women on Waves (Reuters)
Today, news broke that police in Guatemala have blocked a yacht offering abortion pills. Accordingly, Women on Waves, run by Dutch national Rebecca Gomperts, may not disembark the vessel. Police are also preventing anyone boarding. President Jimmy Morales deployed the army. A spokesman said it would defend “human life and the laws of our country” by preventing the group from carrying out abortions.
Reuters reports that the abortifacient dispensed ‘combines two medicines, mifepristone and misoprostol’. The news agency said: ‘It is more than 90 percent effective for women up to 10 weeks pregnant’.
The boat takes women out to international waters to administer the drug. It only docks in countries where abortion is illegal. But it is as much a publicity stunt as a ‘pro-choice’ facility.
Where does the money come from?
Women on Waves is coy about where the money comes from. Nevertheless, this document from a court dispute gives some details. It says Women on Waves ‘has received grants from organizations including the Global Fund for Women (United States), the Mondrian Foundation (Netherlands), and the Mama Cash Foundation (Netherlands)’.
The cabin of the Women on Waves yacht (Reuters)
To add to the mix, the Dutch humanist HIVOS group gave money towards a film about Women on Waves. Mama Cash, a source of money for anti-Christian projects worldwide, was also listed. The Soros Open Society says it provides joint funding with HIVOS. Where you find HIVOS you will usually find Soros. The world of antichrist funding groups is highly incestuous.
Meanwhile, abortionists are agitating in Ireland. The Republic passed the pro-life ‘Eighth Amendment’ of the Constitution of Ireland in 1983 by a two to one majority. The Amendment gives explicit recognition to the right to life of an unborn child. Accordingly, it effectively introduced a constitutional ban on abortion.
Strike4Repeal activists have similarities to previous Soros initiatives
But there is pressure to repeal the Amendment. Activists feel emboldened by the Republic’s vote to allow ‘gay marriage’ in 2015. They believe the times they are a-changing enough to secure a majority to scrap ‘the Eighth’. Nevertheless, there is hostility to them. Strangely enough, an LGBT group is among their opponents.
As part of the campaign, a group of girls who do not appear to have done much work are calling for a ‘strike of women.’No doubt the mainstream media will give ‘Strike4Repeal‘ huge publicity on 8th March 2017.
But who is funding Strike4Repeal? LifeSiteNews reports: Soros’ New York City-based Open Foundations document focuses on repealing the pro-life Eighth Amendment’. Consequently, he will give ‘heavy funding for the Abortion Rights Campaign, Amnesty International Ireland, and the Irish Family Planning Association. Above all, Soros intends they will “work collectively on a campaign to repeal Ireland’s (Eighth) constitutional amendment.”
Soros fingerprints
Billionaire financier George Soros
But does Strike4Repeal receive Soros money? Firstly, any group like that needs money to carry out its campaign. Secondly, there are parallels between the modus operandi of Strike4Repeal and previous Soros agitations. He funded Pussy Riot and Femen who adopt similar poses (albeit bare-breasted in the case of Femen) and shock tactics. He was behind protests against Donald Trump’s inauguration. Thirdly, a Soros’ foundations document says ‘legalization of same-sex “marriage” presents “valuable and timely opportunities to advance the (pro-abortion) campaign.”’ Fourthly, it just has Soros fingerprints all over it.
One thing we can be certain of. Pro-abortion movements, like pro-sodomy ngos, do not spring up in countries out of the blue. They are rarely indigenous. There is always money from external affluent western ‘philanthropists’ behind them. If it is not Soros it is Hivos, or Mama Cash. If not them, Ford Foundation or Gates Foundation step in. Or Carnegie. Or the Rockefeller or Tides Foundaton. Similarly, the Atlantic Philanthropies may contribute. Or the Gulbenkian Foundation.
Prayer points
Please pray at this time particularly for Guatemala and the Republic of Ireland to stand firm against the abortionist assault. The Bible says: Proverbs 16:12 It is an abomination to kings to commit wickedness: for the throne is established by righteousness.
We read that only Christ will bring in perfect government, but that does not mean earthly governments should not try to rule by God’s standards: Hebrews 1:8 But unto the Son he saith, Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever: a sceptre of righteousness is the sceptre of thy kingdom.
As to the antichrist NGOs, the Bible says: Proverbs 25:5 Take away the wicked from before the king, and his throne shall be established in righteousness.
The Bible says of king Ahaz: 2Chr 28:3 Moreover he burnt incense in the valley of the son of Hinnom, and burnt his children in the fire, after the abominations of the heathen whom the LORD had cast out before the children of Israel.
The passage is speaking about child sacrifice. Abortion is our modern version of it. Many nations including Great Britain are now polluted because of this shedding of innocent blood. Israel did the same, as the Psalmist declares: Psalm 106:38 And shed innocent blood, even the blood of their sons and of their daughters, whom they sacrificed unto the idols of Canaan: and the land was polluted with blood. So pray also for repentance in those nations who have legalised this abomination, for the slaughter to stop.

16 and 17-year-olds to be able to vote in next general election, government plans
16 and 17-year-olds to be able to vote in next general election, government plans
The government is preparing to give 16- and 17-year-olds the right to vote in the next UK General Election.
The proposal is being hailed as a “seismic” democratic change by Democracy Minister Rushanara Ali. Labour claims that allowing teenagers to vote will ensure their voices are heard.
But behind the rhetoric lies a different reality. There is no widespread demand for this from young people themselves. No protests. No movements. No campaigns.
As recent research from the National Centre for Social Research confirms, young people are statistically more likely to vote this current government.
Isaiah 5:20 Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness.
The question is not whether young people matter—of course they do. The question is whether they are ready to take part in the sober, moral weight of national decision-making.
Children today are already under immense pressure. Their minds are still forming. Their views are still being shaped. At 16, they are still growing physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. They are navigating exams and peer pressure. Many still need parental permission to travel or make medical choices.
And yet, under this bill, they will be handed the power to decide the future of the nation.
To make it more absurd, the government is proposing that 16-year-olds may vote, but cannot stand for public office until 18. In other words: you are old enough to help elect leaders, but not old enough to be one.
If you are not trusted to lead, why are you trusted to choose those who will?
1 Corinthians 13:11 When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things.
If anyone had the right to lead at a young age, it was Jesus Christ.
Luke 2:46-47 And it came to pass, that after three days they found him in the temple, sitting in the midst of the doctors, both hearing them, and asking them questions…And all that heard him were astonished at his understanding and answers.
Luke 3:23 And Jesus himself began to be about thirty years of age, being (as was supposed) the son of Joseph.
He waited. He matured. He lived humbly and quietly until the time was right.
Spiritual growth, emotional maturity, and life experience matter. Wisdom is not downloaded overnight. Leadership comes with a burden, one that children were never meant to carry.
Let us not confuse early passion with Godly preparedness.
Voting is not a TikTok trend or an Instagram poll. It is a holy responsibility—a decision about the laws, morals, and values that will shape a nation for generations.
At its core, voting is a spiritual act. It is a statement about what kind of world we believe in. And Scripture consistently places that burden on mature adults.
Even in ancient Israel, elders led the people. Heads of households, men of age and wisdom, were responsible for decisions affecting the community.
To surrender such weighty decisions to the immature is to abdicate adult duty. This is not love. It is neglect wrapped in activism.
Lamentations 3:27 It is good for a man that he bear the yoke in his youth.
A call for discernment
The government sees children not as souls to be nurtured, but as voters to be won. And in doing so, they turn schools into political factories and teenagers into political tools.
This is not only wrong. It is unrighteous.
Our task, as Christian citizens, is to stand for wisdom and pray for discernment. To protect the minds of the young and guard the moral foundations of our nation.
Let us teach our children how to grow strong in truth and righteousness—not how to vote before they understand what voting truly means.
Proverbs 4:7 Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding.

PRAY:Let us pray our leaders. And let us continue to stand—in truth, in love, and in hope.
