The Telegraph reports that Angela Rayner has backed down on timing for her Consultation of a definition for ‘Islamophobia’, after pressure from the Free Speech Union.
You can no longer respond from this LINK!. The new deadline was Sunday 20th July and has now passed. But you can pray and you can sign our Petition:
Petition: Oppose the
Islamophobia Definition →
Christians had just a week to respond to the proposal of ‘the Government adopting a definition of Anti-Muslim Hatred/Islamophobia’ which would certainly impede Christian apologists in exposing the errors of Islam. And respond they did, helped by our prompting to be a voice of scriptural witness.
It goes without saying that we love individual Muslims and pray for them to receive salvation in the Lord Jesus, but we must have the liberty to oppose the Islamic religion.
Heb 4:14 Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession. (KJV)
We are very aware that the Government never take any notice of what the people, let alone the good Lord, have to say on the issues of our day. Whether it’s on Buffer Zones or Sharia Courts or Sex Education, the Government publish a ‘consultation’ then ignore the results. However, the opening page of this latest consultation takes pre-judging the issue to a new level.
Priorities of British Muslims

On ‘gov.uk’ we read: ‘A new working group has been established to provide government with a working definition of Anti-Muslim Hatred/Islamophobia which is reflective of a wide range of perspectives and priorities of British Muslims.’
Note the emphasis is on ‘the perspectives and priorities of British Muslims’, not on public safety, or freedom of expression, or our Christian heritage.

The five members of the ‘Islamophobia/Anti-Muslim Hatred Definition working group’ are all well-placed Muslims, with the exception of Dominic Grieve KC, Barrister, remainer, insider and ex-minister, the pro-Islam multiculturalist (see here as well) who is chairing it. Three of the Muslim activists have been honoured by the elite with MBEs or OBEs already. They are: Professor Javed Khan OBE, Managing Director of EQUI, an Islamic think-tank, Baroness Shaista Gohir, OBE, MBE, CEO of something called the ‘Muslim Women’s Network UK’ (P.S. who has compared the violent Muslim Airport brothers to George Floyd) and Akeela Ahmed MBE, Co-Chair of the British Muslim Network (P.S. Who appears to be in line to benefit from an ‘Islamophobia’ definition). The fourth, one Asha Affi, is described as an ‘Independent Consultant’ but is actually a Somalian activist who leads the Council of Somali Organisations. No doubt the MBE is on its way.

Where are the Christians, Hindus, Secularists for that matter, who would provide some balance on the working group? Clearly, balance is not what the Government are aiming for, let alone honouring the Lord of life, as scripture demands:
Php 2:9 Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: 10 That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; 11 And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
‘Diversity enriches’
Given the inherent bias, it is hardly surprising we read on the ‘call for evidence page’ : ‘British Muslims hold a diverse range of opinions, identities, beliefs, and backgrounds. This diversity helps to enrich the fabric of UK society. There are countless examples of Muslim citizens achieving excellence across society – from entrepreneurs to public servants, from sports men and women to musicians and artists.’

This author is struggling to think of any Muslim musicians or artists enriching our society. Because Western music and art is ‘haram’ or forbidden they confine themselves to their own people. The Saudi National Orchestra (Go on!) demonstrate the point perfectly.
Furthermore, although it is not a welcome thought, in a fortnight when we are honouring the 52 innocent victims of the 7th July 2005 London bombings, and thanking the Lord for the deliverance from Islamic terrorism on the 21st July 2005, one might be forgiven for wondering how the jihadist aspect of Muslim ‘diversity’ has helped enrich UK society. Jihad is a ‘pillar’ of Islam.
The page goes on: ‘The UK Government has a responsibility to ensure that people of the UK receive equal treatment and can freely express their views, beliefs, and sense of identity. Sadly, this is not always the case; too many British Muslims have faced discrimination and hatred due to their religion.’ But can Christians freely express our views and beliefs in Britain today? And if Muslims have a separate ‘sense of identity’ derived from Islam, what does that say about their loyalty to Britain and our Christian culture, our political and legal systems?
No integration

The plain fact is, British Muslims show little inclination to integrate into British society. In a great number of our towns, they have formed their own enclaves in which English, where spoken at all, is a second language. Yet they now demand ‘equal treatment’ and the freedom to express their views and beliefs.
Would this include the belief among a section of Muslim men that poor, white, working-class British girls from broken family backgrounds, often in local-authority care, are legitimate prey for sexual exploitation and rape? Let us not forget our establishment tried to cover up that scandal, in the name of the same ‘multi-culturalism’ and ‘diversity’ expounded by the ‘Islamophobia working group’.

Sir Keir Starmer had to be backed into a corner by Baroness Casey before he would agree to a enquiry. Police forces, local authority councillors and social services child protection personnel, not to mention members of parliament, all turned to a blind eye to depravity and horror. They sacrificed young girls on the altar of the same ‘community cohesion’ now being proposed by Dominic Grieve and his Muslim activist friends.
Contrary to their multicultural chimera, scripture says community cohesion can only come through our nation’s recognition of and obedience to the one to whom King Charles knelt at his coronation on 6th May 2023:
1Tim 6:14 That thou keep this commandment without spot, unrebukeable, until the appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ: 15 Which in his times he shall shew, who is the blessed and only Potentate, the King of kings, and Lord of lords;
Cultural markers
The working group go on to invite sympathy for their cause by trying to enrol other religious groups. They claim: ‘Anti-Muslim hatred/Islamophobia can also impact communities that are perceived to be Muslim. There are often cultural markers which are adopted by wider faith communities like Sikh, Hindu, Jain and Buddhists which are used to attack communities that are mistakenly identified as Muslim.’
In Leicester, during any episode of inter-community violence, Hindu and Muslim youths find little difficulty knowing each other apart. The argument is a smoke-screen. The real concern of the ‘working group’ is to stop people speaking about Muslim political ambition, Islamic violence and Muslim crime.

They want to stop us revealing that there is no change of heart required in conversion to Islam. Because Islam is a religion of ‘works’, it is possible to be a good, observant Muslim while running a drugs ring, a prostitution racket or indeed a child grooming operation. The papers report that Qari Abdul Rauf, who led the Rochdale grooming gang, was ‘previously regarded as a respected religious figure who recited from the Koran’. The word ‘previously’ betrays a mindset informed by a Christian understanding. Muslims do not ‘fall from grace’ because there is no grace to fall from. In his native Pakistan, where he is apparently building a house while claiming legal aid in Britain, he still is respected. He has broken no Islamic rules. The rape of kafir girls in Rochdale is of no consequence to a Muslim mindset.
The British establishment should be unashamedly proclaiming the superiority of Christianity, that Kingdom, which as hymn-writer John Ellerton wrote: ‘stands, and grows forever, till all thy creatures own thy sway:’
Dan 7:13 I saw in the night visions, and, behold, one like the Son of man came with the clouds of heaven, and came to the Ancient of days, and they brought him near before him. 14 And there was given him dominion, and glory, and a kingdom, that all people, nations, and languages, should serve him: his dominion is an everlasting dominion, which shall not pass away, and his kingdom that which shall not be destroyed.
The actual definition

The webpage says: ‘The Group’s proposed definition will be non-statutory’. Nevertheless, it ‘will provide the government and other relevant bodies with an understanding of unacceptable treatment and prejudice against Muslim communities.’ ‘Any proposed definition must be compatible with the unchanging right of the UK’s people to exercise freedom of speech and expression – which includes the right to criticise, express dislike of, or insult religions and/or the beliefs and practices of adherents.’
But let us not be fooled. The ‘working group’ and the consultation itself seem concerned to keep any proposal of an actual definition under wraps. However, the All-Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) on British Muslims, which is nothing more than a pro-Islam pressure group, has already let the cat out of the bag. It defines Islamophobia as ‘rooted in racism and is a type of racism that targets expressions of Muslimness or perceived Muslimness’. Muslim groups like MEND are pushing hard for ministers to adopt this definition. But all these Muslim political ambitions oppose our Christian constitution in its biblical model:
2Chron 23:16 And Jehoiada made a covenant between him, and between all the people, and between the king, that they should be the LORD’S people.
Respond now!
Our opposition will need to be Christ-centred and Spirit-filled. Even the APPG proposed definition makes the assertion that any opposition to Islam stems from racism. That is categorically untrue. People of any colour should be welcome here so long as they honour and respect our Christian constitution. Muslims do not. It is incumbent on every Muslim to regard the Islamic way of life and Islamic government as superior to anything else and to campaign for it. This is a religious challenge, indeed a spiritual challenge, which we must and can only meet with the power and authority of the Lord Jesus.
Tell this consultation the truth. Pray into it, respond to it, do that little thing that only you can do, and trust the Lord to send a miracle.

Hi Stephen,
I’ve been trying to respond to the ‘Call for Evidence’ issued by the Islamophobia/Anti-Muslem hatred Definition Working Party and have got as far a Question 9. But it won’t let me go further to submit my ‘evidence’ unless I answer Question 9 (which I have just answered!). It this aubtle way of preventing the submission of evidence that they don’t want to hear?
How should I proceed?
By the way, I am no-longer ‘Jo & Tony Pennell’. My lovely wife, Jo, went to be with the Lord nearly 4 years ago, but your system doesn’t yet seem to have caught up with the fact!
Bless you,
Tony Pennell.
.
I drafted: ‘Government should not be appeasing Muslim demands for no discussion or criticism of them or their religion in this constitutionally-Christian United Kingdom.’ for Q9
Please accept my sincere condolences and I’ll make a note.
Surely this is a waste of time. The Government will ignore all the comments they disagree with.
Thanks for that opportunity to set out the principle.
No, scripture shows an act of prophetic witness is never a waste of time.
The prophets of old often had the same challenge, but they were instructed to tell the truth anyway:
Ezekiel 33:8 When I say unto the wicked, O wicked man, thou shalt surely die; if thou dost not speak to warn the wicked from his way, that wicked man shall die in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at thine hand.
