If built, the West Ham mega mosque would be the largest place of worship in Europe, accommodating between 10,000 and 40,000 worshipers, and the size of Battersea Power Station according to its architect.

The fundamentalist group behind it, Tablighi Jamaat, are associated with convicted and dead Islamic terrorists. So why did the Government not dismiss its appeal against a refusal to grant the scheme planning permission last month when they had the chance?

In this video, we expose the shocking reason why, and ask you to make the ‘mega mosque’ an election issue. If you have never seen the ‘mega mosque’ site, this is a good opportunity to take a look.

Come and join us for prayer at the site on Saturday 2nd May 2015 from 10.30am to 12.30pm. Nearest Station: Abbey Road DLR, SatNav E15 3ND. We meet where Canning Road crosses the Greenway.

Isaiah 42:8 I am the LORD: that is my name: and my glory will I not give to another, neither my praise to graven images. (KJV)

  1. There have been a lot of problems in France with Muslims praying in the streets on Fridays because there are not enough mosques for their use. Wouldn’t you prefer them to be peacefully tucked out of the way ?

      • Whether it’s inherently peaceful or not depends largely whether you consider some of the stories in books like Ibn Ishaq’s “Life of Muhammad” as “reliable” or not, the kind of thing Mohammed got up to once he had moved to Medina. Books opposing Islam or exposing its true nature tend to rely on these accounts, naturally, but if you confront the average Muslim with them, he will probably never have heard of Ibn Ishaq, or if he knows a little more, he will say that most of his book is “unreliable” (rather as there are many early Christian writings which are uncanonical).

On the other hand, there is no doubt in my mind that these alleged episodes in the life of Mohammed (which every Muslim has to emulate) are what folk like Islamic State think they are imitating. It seems to me that what is desperately needed is a big council of Islamic experts to decide what is canonical and what isn’t. However, although Christians managed this about 1600 years ago, Muslims tell me there is absolutely no chance of their “scholars” doing it now.
