News is emerging that Chancellor Rt Hon Mr Philip Hammond MP is working against Brexit.
Mr Hammond was a disaster as Foreign Secretary, funding Jihadist groups in Syria and encouraging them with his ‘Assad must go’ mantra.
President Assad was and is the only guarantor of stability in Syria. He protects the religious minorities such as Christians, Alawites and Druze targeted by the Jihadis.
Philip Hammond and his predecessor, William, Lord Hague, have blood on their hands. They bear huge responsibility for the carnage in Syria, the displacement of millions of people from the region and the spread of Islamic State terrorists across Europe.
Now, as Chancellor of the Exchequer, Mr Hammond, who campaigned for ‘Remain’ is actively working against the will of the British, the stated aim of his Prime Minister, Theresa May, and the purpose of Almighty God. It was the Lord who exercised mercy by pulling the UK out of the EU’s Revived Roman Empire.
Please pray that Mr Hammond will repent or that the Lord will replace him with a man after his own heart.
Psalm 75:6 For promotion cometh neither from the east, nor from the west, nor from the south. 7 But God is the judge: he putteth down one, and setteth up another.

This was a referendum to determine the will of the British people, as you say.
I don’t see how you can call the result “the purpose of Almighty God”.
At this rate, you could call anything which happens the purpose of Almighty God, in which case there is no point at all in trying to influence what happens one way or the other. Almighty God will have his way.
No, my reasoning is spiritual and goes like this:
1 The European Union is a deliberately-designed revived Roman Empire,
2 A revived Roman Empire will be at war with the Lamb (Jesus Christ),
3 It will be good for a nation to be on the right side in that event,
4 It’s only by the grace of God that the UK would end up on the right side,
5 … because the lot, or the vote, is in the hands of the Almighty,
6 Therefore it is by the grace of God the UK voted for Brexit.
You say that the vote is in the hands of the Almighty,
therefore it is by the grace of God the UK voted for Brexit.
So democratic votes are in fact decided by God.
We might as well be ruled by a king with divine right, then, and not bother with democracy.
The USA in particular wastes a huge amount of money on pointless elections.
Who do you think God has chosen to be the next president ?
Rox, it’s more complicated than that. There is the corporate vs the individual, the power of prayer, the principle of judgment, the grace of God, rebellious man, all ingredients in the spiritual melting pot.
Do I believe the Lord can determine the outcome of an election? Absolutely!
Daniel says the Lord is perfectly capable of setting up and deposing rulers:
Dan 2:21 And he changeth the times and the seasons: he removeth kings, and setteth up kings: he giveth wisdom unto the wise, and knowledge to them that know understanding:
Do I believe every election is determined by the Lord, everywhere in the world? No, not if the Lord’s people don’t pray. And even if they do pray, and a different result occurs from what they were praying for, maybe they have not sought the Lord. Maybe the heart of the Lord is set differently from theirs.
So in our referendum if anyone was praying, ‘Lord, let us remain in the EU so I don’t have to get a visa to evangelise in Latvia, I think such a silly prayer would get a dusty answer. On the other hand, ‘Lord we are sinners, but have mercy!’ is better placed.
Looking at the ‘Lord have mercy’ prayer and personalising it, anyone praying ‘Lord have mercy on me, and forgive me my sins by the cross of Jesus,’ will definitely be answered in the affirmative:
Romans 10:13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.
In the USA, for me, the election of Trump will show the Lord being merciful while the election of Hilary will be his act of judgment.
Let’s watch with interest.
