Muslim schools take-over plot revealed

Saltley School's head teacher, Mr Bains, resigned last year after a critical Ofsted report and a poor relationship with Muslim governors.
Targeted schools. Saltley School’s head teacher, Mr Bains, resigned last year after a critical Ofsted report and a campaign against him instigated by Islamist governors.

A Muslim plot to take over schools in Birmingham and Bradford shows how good they are and how poor Christians are at advancing their respective world-views.

Operation Trojan Horse, as the Islamic scheme is called, involves identifying schools in predominantly Muslim areas which are struggling.  For each school, a group of parents committed to Islam is built up.

Next comes a campaign to elect one or more faithful Muslims to the school governing body.

After that, the head teacher is undermined by the use of complaints to local MPs and education authorities as well as by identifying “weak and disgruntled staff” who can cause problems for the head with Ofsted.

A letter containing the details of the Muslim schools take-over plot came to light after it was leaked to the National Association of Head Teachers.

Muslim Campaign secures leadership changes in schools

It claims responsibility for leadership changes at four schools, Adderley Primary, Saltley School, Park View School and Regents Park Community Primary School.

Saltley’s head teacher resigned last year after a critical Ofsted report.  Inspectors said there was a “dysfunctional” relationship between head teacher Balwant Bains and governors which was hindering the school.

The inspectors’ statement appears to confirm claims in the letter that the group has “caused a great amount of organised disruption in Birmingham and as a result we have our own academies and are on the way to getting rid of more head teachers and taking over their schools”.

The letter, seen by the BBC, targets another 12 schools in Birmingham, and was also sent to a contact in Bradford.

It urges the recipient to use Ofsted reports to identify schools in predominantly Muslim areas which are struggling and adds: ”Operation ‘Trojan Horse’ has been very carefully thought through and is tried and tested within Birmingham, implementing it in Bradford will not be difficult for you.”

Schools ‘corrupting their children with sex education’

It states that parents could be encouraged to turn against the leadership team if they are told the school is “corrupting their children with sex education, teaching about homosexuals, making their children pray Christian prayers and [carrying out] mixed swimming and sport”.

Needless to say, the revelations have sent the politicians into a spin, with Liam Byrne, Labour MP for Hodge Hill, holding ‘urgent talks’ with Ofsted, City Council officials, the office of Michael Gove and DfE officials.

“These are deeply disturbing allegations, which is why Ofsted has been called in,” he said.

The chastening point for Christians will be that the inbuilt corruption in sex education and the pro-sodomy teaching which is now mandated by the Equality Act 2010, not to mention the pro-evolution slant of biology, affect Christian children as well, but that Christian parents have in the main shown not the slightest inclination to protect them from such ungodly influences.

Secularists and Muslims advancing their world-views

It may well be that Christian parents have always assumed that schools are much as they were when they went to school or that, believing in shared cultural values, they put too much trust into schools, teachers, experts and those in authority, even those in sex education promotion groups and working parties.

It has been obvious for some time that Secularists are far better at advancing their world-view than Christians, and it comes as no surprise given what we know of Islamic ambitions of world dominance to discover that Muslims are interested in advancing their world-view as well.

As the letter states: “We have an obligation to our children to fulfil our roles and ensure these schools are run on Islamic principles.”

Do Christians even know what a Christian world-view is?

But do Christians know what Christian principles are, apart from ‘love’?  We speak above of a secularist world-view, and of a Muslim world-view, but do Christians even know what a Christian world-view is?  Do Christians even know we have one?

Do we know that the ‘earth is the LORD’S, and the fulness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein’? (Psalm 24:1)

Are we aware that ‘Righteousness exalteth a nation: but sin is a reproach to any people’? (Prov 14:34)

Do we know that we are to teach the ways of the Lord ‘diligently unto thy children, and shalt talk of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, and when thou liest down, and when thou risest up’? (Deut 6:7)

Have we read that as much as parents should ‘provoke not your children to wrath’ that we have a responsibility to ‘bring them up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord’? (Eph 6:4), to ‘Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it’ (Prov 22:6)

Do we ‘go in the strength of the Lord GOD’ and ‘make mention of thy righteousness, even of thine only’? (Psalm 71:16).

Are we certain to say of God ‘Thy righteousness is an everlasting righteousness, and thy law is the truth’? (Psalm 119:142).

Or do we think that Jesus has swept away all the Old Testament to replace it with a ‘law of love’ that requires us to give in to evil, roll over and let our children take their chance?

Do we personalise away the injunction to go about ‘Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ’? (2Cor 10:5)

Have we remembered that providing for our families includes defending and protecting them: ‘But if any provide not for his own, and specially for those of his own house, he hath denied the faith, and is worse than an infidel’? (1Tim 5:8)

Advance the Christian faith

The Muslims behind ‘Operation Trojan Horse’ are simply doing what they should do as Muslim parents; make sure their children are being taught according to their faith.

Yes, there are Christian academies doing great work, but Christians could and should have been getting themselves onto school governing bodies and removing ungodly head teachers not just by ‘praying them out’ but by seeking God for what to do themselves.  It isn’t ‘unsporting’ or not quite ‘British’ to fight for what is right and advance the Christian faith in every avenue of life!

And we can surely think of a more positive and imaginative name for such a campaign than ‘Operation Trojan Horse’!

Porn and gay role-play for school sex-ed

Dominic Crouch, bullied to death after a homosexual role-play game.
Dominic Crouch, bullied to death after a homosexual role-play game.

School children will be taught that not all pornography is bad and act out scenes as homosexuals if teachers follow sex education guidance just issued by the Department for Education.

The Times says that it is the first time for 14 years that advice on sex education has been updated. The guidance currently in use makes no reference to issues such as internet safety or “sexting” using mobile devices.

However, rather than just update the advice to warn about those topics, the new guidelines have included pro-gay propganda and taken a sexual libertarian slant.

The guidelines were drawn up by Brook Advisory, the PSHE Association and the Sex Education Forum, all of which are pro-contraception, pro-abortion, pro-homosexual and frankly pro-promiscuity.

Although supported by the Department for Education, the new guidelines do not have legal force. But many teachers will assume they come down from authority and those who were already inclined that way will seize upon them to justify their position to worried parents.

One of the resources recommended to teachers, an e-magazine from the Sex Education Forum, advises teachers to “teach in a non-judgmental way” about pornography and tells them: “Pornography is hugely diverse — it’s not necessarily ‘all bad’.”

Last year Ofsted published a report saying that sex education was taught badly (whatever they mean by that) in between a third and half of schools and said that secondary schools should teach about the influence of pornography on students’ understanding of healthy sexual relationships.

It also says that sex education must not deal only with heterosexual relations. “Teachers should never assume that all intimate relationships are between opposite sexes. All sexual health information should be inclusive and should include LGBT people [lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender] in case studies, scenarios and role-plays.”

The advice ignores the dynamics of the playground. A pupil acting out a gay role-play will have that stigma attached for the rest of his school life.  It will give bullies a weapon and could cement the idea in an adolescent mind that he or she might indeed be homosexual.

The guidance is a recruiting-sergeant for the homosexual world and is certain to bring misery and possibly death in its wake.

On 18 May 2010, Dominic Crouch committed suicide by jumping off the roof of a six-storey block of flats near his school in Cheltenham. He was 15. In the note he left his family, he wrote: “Dear Family, I’m so so sorry for what I’m about to do. I have been bullied a lot recently and had a lot of shit made up about me that ain’t true.”

It emerged that Dominic had taken up a dare to kiss another boy on a school trip during a game of spin the bottle.  Some participants recorded the game on their mobile phones and the images circulated.  Dominic, who was dyslexic and found it difficult to formulate a quick retort, became the butt of jokes when he returned to St Edward’s after the trip.

The Stonewall homosexual campaign group jumped on the idea of ‘homophobic bullying’ and started putting it about that Dominic might have been homosexual, something he and his family always denied.  Stonewall even persuaded his father, Roger, to go around schools on a non-bullying mission and made him ‘hero of the year‘ on 3rd November 2011, the night Melanie Phillips was named ‘bigot of the year’ at the ceremony hosted by Stephen K Amos.  Weeks later, in December 2011, Roger Crouch committed suicide as well.

Let us pray that the authors of this guidance do not end up with blood on their hands.

Scotland will give asylum to Ugandans

Ugandan homosexual activists have learnt well from Western pro-sodomy propaganda.
Ugandan homosexual activists have learnt from Western pro-sodomy propaganda in their use of rainbow colours and moving the debate away from sex and onto ‘love’.

An independent Scotland will give asylum to Ugandans who consider themselves persecuted by anti-gay laws, reports The Herald.

Humza Yousaf, Scotland’s Minister For External Affairs, has written to UK Foreign Secretary William Hague detailing the Scottish Government’s gesture to welcome “any Ugandan” persecuted by the new laws.

He also intends to raise the matter with Ugandan ministers at the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow this summer.

Unless William Hague follows suit, the measure would need Scottish independence before coming into force.  It is however unlikely that the ‘No’ camp will use the announcement in the independence debate, so entrenched is the pro-homosexual position in British politics and media.

Humza Yousef. What tartan is that?
Humza Yousaf. Which tartan is that? If not Clan Yousaf, can anyone shed any light?

Humza Yousaf, 29, was elected via the Mixed Member Proportional Representation from the Party List.  He has been a spokesman for Islamic Relief.  Having a soft spot for sodomites is not normally an Islamic trait.

In his letter Mr Yousaf urges Mr Hague “to offer asylum to any Ugandans who feels threatened or persecuted by the legislation”, adding that “Scotland will play her part in providing asylum for those seeking refuge from this draconian legislation”.

He adds that during the Games “no one from any part of the Commonwealth who visits Scotland will be under any doubt about our values as a welcoming, open and tolerant society”.

But not tolerant of African values or Christian virtue, of course.

The announcement raises questions.  Nigeria, the biggest country in Africa, and also a Commonwealth member, has a recently-enacted law which also outlaws homosexual propaganda.  Will Humza extend Scotland’s offer to Nigerians?

Africans are resourceful people and not devoid of acting skills.  It is easy to claim to be homosexual and impossible to disprove.  Scotland can look forward to a flood of applications for asylum if independence goes through.

Teach children creation, says report

The construction of the giraffe's neck and blood vessels pose questions which evolutionists cannot answer.
The construction of the giraffe’s neck and blood vessels pose questions which evolutionists cannot answer.

Children should be taught about creationism in science lessons to avoid alienating those of strong faith, according to new research, reports The Times.

A study by academics at the University of York claims creationism should be tackled by science teachers in order to engage their religious pupils.

The study, reported in the Times Educational Supplement, said students with a strong faith were likely to be turned off science because it does not correspond with their own outlook on life. The findings contradict the views of the educational and political elite, which says any discusion of creation has no place in biology lessons.

“To avoid alienating students, understanding evolution should be emphasised instead of accepting it,” the study said. “If the topic is presented insensitively, students may feel compelled to choose between science and deep-rooted religious beliefs. Rather than asking whether religious views should be covered in science lessons, the question is can we afford not to talk about them?”

Researchers questioned more than 200 14-16 year olds who attended four secondary schools — one Christian faith-based, one non-faith with majority Muslim catchment zones and two non-faiths with mixed catchment zones.

The study found that most Muslim students believed that humans were “created by God pretty much in their current form”. More than half those at the Christian school also thought there had been some divine involvement.

“I wouldn’t for a moment say you should teach creationism in science, but you could certainly talk about evolution in the context of when Darwin first published his ideas, when it was challenging the religious orthodoxy,” said Pam Hanley, research fellow at the University of York’s Institute for Effective Education.

Michael Reiss, Professor of Science Education at the University of London’s Institute of Education, said the study revealed that the number of students who did not accept the theory of evolution was greater than thought. However, he told the TES: “What I would not recommend would be to enter into a discussion about the scriptures, be it the Bible, the Koran or whatever.

“Teachers should simply be respectful of their pupils’ beliefs, and say it is fine to have religious views, but add that science is about looking at the empirical evidence either for or against scientific theories.”

Funnily enough, our main complaint against the teaching of evolution in schools is that it fails to look at any evidence at all opposing the evolution dogma.  Children are taught total fabrications such as the ‘evolution of the horse’ as fact.

The Government has insisted that all state-funded schools must teach evolution, and not present creationism as a scientifically valid theory.

Tom Daley seduced by older man

Tom Daley in his video
Tom Daley in his video

Since the Olympic diver Tom Daley announced he was ‘in a relationship’ ‘with a guy’ the papers have been in a frenzy to find out the identity of the mystery ‘boyfriend’.

Our suspicions that it would turn out to be an older man have now been confirmed by a number of tabloids.

The individual concerned is American screenwriter and gay rights activist Dustin Lance Black who at 39 is more than twice Daley’s age.  It was Black who encouraged Daley to make his ill-considered video announcement.

Dustin Black in campaigning mode
Dustin Black in campaigning mode

The Daily Mirror reports that the diver ‘looks up to’ Black whom he met in March.  It would not be a stretch of the imagination to wonder if Black is filling the void left by Daley’s late father, Robert, who died tragically two years ago at the age of just 40.  The diver was devoted to his father, who never saw his son fulfill his dream of competing at the Olympic Games – and winning a medal.

Writing on Eurosport, Desmond Kane said: ‘In his private moments, Daley must feel like he has been shorn of his support network. The trademark smile must hide a lot with his mum being forced to deal with such ongoing grief. It all remains very raw.’

The Mirror also said that Daley and Black have fallen for each other’.  If Daley is having a sort of adolescent crush compensating for his dreadful loss, Dustin Black probably cannot believe his luck.  He has been able to initiate a teenage boy into sexual activities he probably would not even have known about this time last year.

A teenage crush on a teacher or classmate of the same sex is not uncommon, but the great majority grow out of such desires and progress to heterosexuality.  The danger comes when authority figures or role models signal that such feelings are indicative of an inate ‘orientation’.  For this reason as well as concern for his own development, it is encouraging at least that Tom Daley has refused to identify as ‘gay’ and has said he is still attracted to girls.

In April 2010 the American College of Pediatricians cautioned “educators about the management of students experiencing same-sex attraction or exhibiting symptoms of gender confusion.”

A press release explained:

‘The College reminds school superintendents that it is not uncommon for adolescents to experience transient confusion about their sexual orientation and that most students will ultimately adopt a heterosexual orientation if not otherwise encouraged. For this reason, schools should not seek to develop policy which “affirms” or encourages these non-heterosexual attractions among students who may merely be experimenting or experiencing temporary sexual confusion. Such premature labeling can lead some adolescents to engage in homosexual behaviors that carry serious physical and mental health risks.’

The Apostle Paul warned believers In Corinth that those engaged in homosexual activity would not ‘inherit the kingdom of God.’  In a perceptive following verse, he reminded these early Christians that some of them had not only been forgiven their sins but actually delivered from what the Bible describes as ‘vile affections’ by the power of Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit:

1Cor 6:11 And such were some of you: but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God.

The fact remains that, as the Lord Jesus himself said:

Mark 10:6 But from the beginning of the creation God made them male and female. 7 For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and cleave to his wife; 8 And they twain shall be one flesh: so then they are no more twain, but one flesh.

And despite all the campaigning for ‘gay marriage’ by people like Justin Black, becoming ‘one flesh’, in the full emotional and conjugal sense implied  by the Lord Jesus, is something a pair of homosexual men or women can never do.

Please pray for Tom Daley (and other young people experiencing similar emotional turmoil) that his homosexual feelings will indeed be transient and that he will grow out of them.  Pray that God will protect him from the diseases inherent in unnatural activity and that the Almighty will send people across his path to lead him onto the true way.

NSS Seeks to Block Christian Coronation

By Robin Phillips

Prince_Charles_2012
If the NSS get their way, Prince Charles will be blocked from having a Christian Coronation service

The National Secular Society (NSS) has announced a campaign to try to block Prince Charles from having a Christian coronation.

The group of radical secularists will be working with the Leigh Day law firm to mount a challenge to the coronation oath, which declares that “the whole world is subject to the Power and Empire of Christ our Redeemer…”

They will also be seeking to remove the monarch’s historic position as head of the Church of England

The coronation service, which goes back at least to the time of King Egbert in the ninth-century, allegedly violates human rights, the NSS claims.

Their case rests on article 9 of the European Convention on Human Rights, which grants citizens the freedom of religion, and article 14 which prohibits religious discrimination.

Up until now, the Secular Society has shown extreme ambivalence towards protecting religious freedom, having opposed British claimants at the European Court of Human Rights who believed their religious freedoms were undermined by equality laws. But now, in a bizarre twist, the NSS has decided to come to the ostensible defense of religious freedom, arguing that the coronation oath violates the monarch’s religious freedom as well as the freedom of the populace who have the ‘right’ to live in a society governed on stringently secularist grounds.

Keith Porteous Wood, the NSS executive director, commented, “The country has changed out of all recognition since the last coronation and we should now be devising an investiture ceremony for the next head of state everyone can feel part of.”

He continued: “A non-religious ceremony allows everybody to feel equally valued… It is no longer appropriate to install the head of state in a religious service of one Christian denomination which – on a normal Sunday – less than 2% of the population attend.”

“…modern-day Britain” the group dramatically added, “is no longer one nation under God. It is one nation under many gods…”

Referring to the monarch’s position as head of the church of England, the NSS announced, “But if we are to retain a monarchy in this country (and many think we should not, although that is not part of the NSS’s agenda) and the monarch is to be head of state, then he or she should not also be ex officio head of the Church of England, or any other particular religion or denomination.”

Keith Porteous Wood is Executive Director of the NSS
Keith Porteous Wood is Executive Director of the NSS

The fact that the Prince of Wales has expressed a desire to have a multi-faith coronation, in which he would dispense with the historic title of “Defender of the Faith” for the more watered-down “Defender of Faith”, has not even been sufficient to pacify the angry activists at the NSS. “We object almost as much to Prince Charles’s intention to be ‘defender of faith’” Keith Wood said.

This group of radical secularists has made clear that they will not be satisfied until they have turned Britain into a European-style secular state.

It is evident from the NSS website that their campaign hinges on the myth of religious neutrality and the spurious notion that secularism is a better guarantee of freedom than Christianity. The group’s website quotes the Dutch MEP Sophie in ‘t Veld who declared that “The promotion of a secular democracy, based on individual citizens’ rights, is the best guarantee for freedom of religion.” Those who have studied the history of the twentieth-century may well doubt the veracity of these statements, given that the rise of toleration has been largely pioneered by Christian, not secularists, statesmen.

At the Queen’s coronation in Westminster Abbey in 1953, she was anointed and crowned. Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth was asked by Archbishop Fisher, inter alia:

‘Will you to the utmost of your power maintain the Laws of God and the true profession of the Gospel?’
And the Queen replied: ‘All this I solemnly promise to do.’

At HMQ's coronation service in 1953, it was declared that ‘The whole world is subject to the Power and Empire of Christ our Redeemer.'
At HMQ’s coronation service in 1953, it was declared that ‘The whole world is subject to the Power and Empire of Christ our Redeemer.’

Next the Moderator of the General Assembly of the Church of Scotland presented the Bible to the Queen. Between them, the Archbishop and Moderator said to her:

‘The whole world is subject to the Power and Empire of Christ our Redeemer’

‘Our gracious Queen: to keep your majesty ever mindful of the Law and the Gospel of God as the Rule for the whole life and government of Christian Princes, we present you with this book, the most valuable thing that this world affords. Here is Wisdom; This is the royal Law; these are the lively oracles of God.’

The Archbishop told Her Majesty when she was given the Orb from the Crown Jewels:

‘Receive this Orb set under the Cross, and remember that the whole world is subject to the Power and Empire of Christ our Redeemer.’

Balding & Tatchell joint 2nd in ‘Pink List’

The lesbian BBC sports presenter Claire Balding and Peter Tatchell, ‘Outrage!’ leader and contributor to a 1980s paedophilia campaigning book, are joint second on the Independent’s 2013 ‘Pink List’ of 101 influential homosexuals.

Topping the list was a journalist by the name of Paris Lees, who was apparently born a man and has had a sex change.

Women’s Olympic boxing gold medal winner Nicola Adams MBE was fourth and Ruth Hunt, Deputy CEO of Stonewall, was fifth.

The judges included Ben Summerskill, Chief Executive of Stonewall, as well as a collection of Indy editors.

Matthew Parris, Sir Elton John, Stephen Fry and Sir Ian McKellen are among a celebrity-laden list of past or perhaps past-it campaigners, whom the Indy fervently hopes ‘don’t mind stepping aside  to pass on the baton to those who campaign today’.

The Indy’s ‘Pink List’ of politicians mentions members of David Cameron’s kitchen cabinet while the ‘ones to watch’ list includes the CEO of W.H.Smith.  Friends of LGBT people lists both Mr Cameron and Lynne Featherstone MP, who pushed gay marriage through Parliament.

Secularists behind ‘end oath’ campaign

PENTAX DIGITAL CAMERAMagistrates could ask the Government to end the ancient tradition of swearing on the Bible to tell the truth in court if a campaign by secularist groups succeeds.

The Magistrates’ Association, which represents 23,000 lay magistrates, has agreed to discuss a motion claiming that the oath should be abolished because some people do not take it seriously.

The Chief Executive of the Magistrates Association, Mr Chris Brace, has told Christian Voice that rather than being discussed at one of its policy committees, which was stated in the press, notably in the Daily Mail, the proposal is being made as a member’s motion at its Annual General Meeting.  We understand the date for the 2103 AGM is Saturday 19th October, but the Association had not at the time of writing put the date on its website.

Mr Brace said: ‘A member wishes to debate this at the AGM and the Board of Trustees decided that this was a motion worthy of debate, without fear or favour.’

Ian Abrahams, 62, a Bristol magistrate who is proposing the motion for scrapping the oath, said: ‘More and more I see people shrug their shoulders or say “whatever” when asked to take it.’I’m suggesting we take holy books out of the process. Instead, people will have to show they understand they could be sent to prison if they don’t tell the truth.

‘I don’t intend my motion to make any comment on religion. It is certainly not anti-religious.’

Christian Voice has now discovered that far from not being anti-religious, Mr Abraham’s initiative is supported by the Lawyers Secular Society, which has strong links to the rabidly anti-Christian National Secular Society. Last month the LSS secretary, Charlie Klendjian, spoke at the Secular Europe Campaign. The Secular Europe Campaign is supported by the British Humanist Association and Richard Dawkins, and is both supported and promoted by the NSS.

Church leaders, even without this information, also saw the underlying agenda.

The Rt Rev Michael Nazir-Ali, former Bishop of Rochester, said: ‘This could be the slippery slope towards the increasing secularisation of society. Where will it end – with the Coronation Oath?

‘The Bible is bound up with the constitution, institutions and history of this country. It is right for people to have a choice of oath, a religious or non-religious one.

‘But we are being urged, in the name of tolerance and secularisation, to restrict that choice.’

There is already an option for non-believers to take a secular oath, while those of other faiths can swear on their own holy texts. For example, Muslims may swear on the Koran or Jews on the Old Testament.

The Rev Arun Arora, director of communications for the Church of England, added: ‘Given that the last census showed almost 60 per cent of respondents self-identified as Christians and two thirds as people of faith, this proposal seems to ignore the statistical reality that we remain a faithful nation.

‘This kind of proposal seems driven more by blinkered campaigning agendas than abiding interests in justice and truth.’

Legal expert Lord Carlile said: ‘It would be unacceptable for the choice to take a religious oath to be removed.’

For hundreds of years Christian witnesses have been required to hold the Bible and state: ‘I swear by almighty God that I shall tell the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth.’

Under Mr Abrahams’ proposal, the holy books would be removed and the oath would read: ‘I promise very sincerely to tell the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth and I understand that if I fail to do so I will be committing an offence for which I will be punished and may be sent to prison.’

A Ministry of Justice spokesman said: ‘We have no plans to change the arrangements for swearing an oath or making an affirmation in court, which have worked well for many years and still do.’

Russian winter fun and games

The press fawn over a Russian homosexual activist in Moscow
The press fawn over a Russian homosexual activist.

Holding the Winter Olympics in Russia has turned into a jamboree for the professionally aggrieved.

Stephen Fry, described as an ‘actor, author and television presenter’ has written an open letter to Prime Minister David Cameron condemning what he describes as the “toxic mix of shaven headed thuggery and bigoted religion” currently ‘being used to demonise LGBT communities in Russia’.  As if there are no shaven-headed homosexual thugs and bigots.

Nick Griffin, leader of the British National Party, told Fry to “get over it”.  David Cameron said he was against a boycott.

However, A Downing Street spokesman said the Government remained ”greatly concerned“ about restrictions on the promotion of sodomy in Russia and said Mr Cameron had raised the issue directly with President Putin.  President Obama has also raised concerns, as well he might.   He has also declined to meet President Putin.  What with whistle-blower Snowden and now this attack on his nearest and dearest, it would make any President concerned to defend immorality flounce out of a summit.

The flurry of interest has arisen since Russia’s lower house of parliament, the Duma, passed a law prohibiting the provision of information about homosexuality to people under 18.  A fine can be imposed for promoting the Western man’s vice.

The WInter Olympics are due to be held in the Russian town of Sochi in February 2014.

By the way, has anyone else been struck by the uncanny similarlity between Stephen Fry and Nick Griffin?  Can they by any chance be related?  Or at least related to a common porcine ancestor?  Not that we do evolution here.

Proving Godwin’s Law, that at some stage Nazi Germany will be mentioned in any online discussion, Fry got his over-the-top retaliation in first, saying:

“The 1936 Berlin Olympics proceeded under the exultant aegis of a tyrant who had passed into law an act which singled out for special persecution a minority whose only crime was the accident of their birth.

”Putin is eerily repeating this insane crime, only this time against gay Russians.

“I am gay. I am a Jew. My mother lost over a dozen of her family to Hitler’s anti-Semitism. I for one, weep at seeing history repeat itself.”

I, for one, weep at the misuse of the comma, but I shan’t be writing to David Cameron about it..

Population rise heralds Muslim takeover

The future of Britain?
The future of Britain?

More babies were born in the UK in 2011-12 than any year since 1972, says the Office for National Statistics, as reported by the BBC.

In all, 813,200 UK births were recorded in the year, said the ONS, contributing to population growth that was, in absolute terms, the highest in the European Union.

ONS estimates say the population of the UK grew by 419,900 to 63.7 million between June 2011 and June 2012.

There were 254,400 more births than deaths and 165,600 more people coming to the UK than leaving.

There were 517,800 migrants from overseas while 352,100 people left the country.

Population growth is highest in London with the South-East of England coming in second.  Channel 4 has a useful map showing where population growth is highest.

After the low birth-rate a decade ago, births are on course to emulate the nineteen-eighties in around three years and to outstrip the sixties by 2020.

The difference is, in the sixties and eighties it was people of British origin having the babies.  Now, that demographic group are averaging below 2 children per woman of child-bearing age, while all the headline-grabbing stuff is coming from immigrants whose cultures still celebrate fecundity.

One Simon Ross, of anti-growth pressure group Population Matters, was reported widely, not least in the Daily Mail (which also has an interesting population chart by age).

He whined: ‘Our growing population is the root of many of our most pressing problems, including a lack of housing, pressure on services and development threats to our countryside and green spaces.

‘These, together with consequent infrastructure investments and transport issues are increasing costs for everyone.  Measures by the Government to limit net migration are to be welcomed. However, the Government should also promote the benefits to individuals and society of smaller families.’

That is actually nonsense.  The greater pressure on housing is coming from allowing families to split up so nonchalantly through divorce on demand.  Services and transport do not stand still.  They increase with population.  There is no benefit to society from smaller families.  A more informed opinion came from Jonathan Portes, director of the National Institute of Economic and Social Research.

He said: “The medium to long-term benefits are substantial.  The people who are being born now or the immigrants who are coming here now will help pay for our pensions and public services in the future.”

The danger is not increased population as such but the way our population is being skewed towards a particular religious group.

Dr Leon Moosavi of Liverpool University says the Muslim population in the UK grew from 1.5 million in 2001 to 3.0 million in 2011, from 2% of the total population to something between 4% and 5%.  And they are not slowing down yet.  If anything, those Muslims born here are even more culturally Islamic and productive of the next generation than their parents.

Vincent Cooper, writing for The Commentator, argues that on present population trends, Muslims will be in a majority in the UK by 2050.  Many of our cities will suffer that fate a lot earlier.  Ten years before that, the tipping point at which Muslims will form a majority in the House of Commons will arrive.

Cooper and The Commentator were widely rubbished by bodies such as Islamophobia Watch but the rebuttals were short on fact.  Of course Islam is an expansionist world view set on world domination by any means, even if a majority in the Oxford Union can vote that ‘Islam is a religion of peace’.

But let us not blame individual Muslims, let alone Muslim women, for having more children than the current 1.8 norm.  They are simply doing what God designed their bodies to do.  They are doing what Christians should be doing: Working hard and increasing in a land where they feel like the underdogs.

Centuries ago, before the time of Christ, the people of Judah were carried off to Babylon.  What did the Prophet Jeremiah urge them to do?  Sit around moping?  Watch the skies for their deliverance?  No, he told them to build, to plant, to increase and to pray:

Jer 29:4 Thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel, unto all that are carried away captives, whom I have caused to be carried away from Jerusalem unto Babylon;
5 Build ye houses, and dwell in them; and plant gardens, and eat the fruit of them;
6 Take ye wives, and beget sons and daughters; and take wives for your sons, and give your daughters to husbands, that they may bear sons and daughters; that ye may be increased there, and not diminished.
7 And seek the peace of the city whither I have caused you to be carried away captives, and pray unto the LORD for it: for in the peace thereof shall ye have peace.

What did the Lord Jesus tell his followers to do before his return?  ‘Occupy till I come.‘  (Luke 19:13)

Our society has a death-wish.  We kill our own children, we encourage families to fracture, we whisk children off into ‘care’ to be abused by paedophile rings, we celebrate sexual license, pornography and perversion, even allowing the practitioners of the latter to pretend to ‘marry’.

But the secularists who have engineered our present debauchery have a very short time in which to celebrate.  Like every civilisation which has ploughed this furrow before, we shall go down the rubbish-chute of history, being taken over within a generation by a stronger, monogamous culture.  That culture, on current trends, will be Islam.

If only it would be Christianity.  But that depends on the Church finding some confidence in historical, traditional, red-blooded Christianity.  The very future of the United Kingdom depends on whether Christian men will stand up to be counted.

Queen approves ‘Gay Marriage’

The first gay wedding cakes could be baked next summer.
‘Gay weddings’ could take place next summer.

Her Majesty the Queen has given her Royal Assent to the Bill legalising ‘gay marriage’ in England and Wales.

Speaker John Bercow MP told the House of Commons yesterday that Her Majesty had given the Marriage (Same Sex Couples) Bill her approval.  The Bill is now an Act of Parliament.

During Her Coronation on 2nd June 1953, and before she was anointed and crowned, Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth was asked by Archbishop Fisher, inter alia:

‘Will you to the utmost of your power maintain the Laws of God and the true profession of the Gospel?’

And the Queen replied: ‘All this I solemnly promise to do.’

Next the Moderator of the General Assembly of the Church of Scotland presented the Bible to the Queen. Between them, the Archbishop and Moderator said to her:

Orb

Her Majesty’s Government can no more change the definition of marriage than they can declare that God does not exist.

But they have done so, and as Her Majesty always acts on the advice of her ministers she has, and not for the first time, legislated against her Coronation Oath.

As we saw on Monday, the homosexuals will now be targeting freedom of speech and Christianity itself.  When will the gay hate speech Bill next raise its ugly head?  Who will be the first Christian teacher sacked for refusing to teach that ‘gay shows the way’?  Which will be the first church taken to court for refusing a ‘gay wedding’?  Watch this space.

Law Society pushes homosexual propaganda

LawSocThe Law Society, which represents solicitors in England and Wales, is promoting the London Gay Pride parade and sponsoring a conference looking ‘Beyond Legal Rights’, Christian Voice can reveal.

Last year, the Law Society banned a conference on marriage which had been booked at their HQ in London by Christian Concern.  CC were told just days before the event that it breached “equality and diversity” policies.

The conference speakers held mainstream views that marriage is between a man and a woman. They included academics, the head of a political think tank and a writer for the Telegraph newspaper.

Most reasonable people would take the view that the Law Society should have as much freedom to let their conference rooms to whoever they please as a Christian hotelier should have to decide who can sleep under their roof.  But for Lawyers to allow a booking and then break their contract doesn’t set a very good example to the rest of us.

Christian Concern have now reached an agreement with the Law Society in which the Society agrees that they are entitled to hold their views and can book the premises in future.  But CC point out that this kind of what they call ‘censorship’ is happening before any change in the law on marriage.

What will happen after ‘gay marriage’ is enacted is anyone’s guess, but our guesswork can be helped by the Law Society’s foray into the promotion of sodomites’ rights post ‘gay marriage’.

Fiona Woolf in her regalia as an Alderman of the City of London
Fiona Woolf in her regalia as an Alderman of the City of London

As well as taking part in the London Gay Pride Parade on 29th June 2013, and despite promising to hold ‘a debate on same-sex marriage’, the Law Society is sponsoring a conference next Thursday under the banner of the ‘InterLaw Diversity Forum’ to ‘secure real equality for LGBT+ people now that a comprehensive legal framework has been achieved’.  ‘Special guest speakers’ are Tim Hailes, MD of JP Morgan and Fiona Woolf, a previous president of the Law Society and diversity advocate who is about to become Lord Mayor of the City of London.

Now they have – or are about to get – legal equality (don’t tell them that the Marriage (Same Sex Couples) Bill now going through Parliament isn’t ‘equal marriage at all) ‘the gays’ want even more.

Dressing up their demands in terms of ‘anti-violence’ and ‘anti-LGBT+ bullying’ (no, we don’t know what the + is for either) ignores the fact that most violence against homosexuals occurs within their own network, and that their anti-bullying programmes encourage bullying.  The real agenda will be about how to shut up those opposed to them and how to push Christians out of public sector jobs.

You heard it here first.

Guides drop God for New Age pledge

Brownies making the guiding promise
Brownies making the guiding promise

The Girl Guides are to drop references to ‘God’ and ‘country’ from their traditional pledge but are to retain a public expression of allegiance to the Queen, reports the Daily Telegraph.

In the new Promise, which will take effect from 1st September, the words ‘to love my God’, which already had an individualistic feel, is to be replaced with ‘to be true to myself and develop my beliefs’, sounding like something out of a New Age self-help manual.

The Guides have retained their pledge to the Queen, who just happens to be Patron of the UK Girl Guides, but  the words ‘to serve the Queen and my community’, begging the question ‘who or what is “my community”?’ will replace ‘to serve the Queen and my country’.  A vow to “help other people” and to “do my best” will remain part of the new promise.

The Guides have no evidence that the old pledge was putting girls off joining, so the whole exercise seems driven by the secularist spirit of the age embodied in the group’s new chief executive, Julie Bentley, who has been in post for just over six months.  Ms Bentley stepped across from the militantly anti-Christian ‘fpa’, otherwise known as the Family Planning Association, and describes the Guides as “the ultimate feminist organisation”.

Stephen Evans, campaigns manager of the National Secular Society, applauded the Guides by getting out his secularist politically-correct phrase-book: “By omitting any explicit mention of God or religion the Guide Association has grasped the opportunity to make itself truly inclusive and relevant to the reality of 21st century Britain.

“The new secular promise can now be meaningful and relevant to all guides and potential leaders, whatever their beliefs – and sends a clear signal that Girlguiding is equally welcoming to all girls.”

The Guides website claims that the new promise will lead to them ‘welcoming more members’, but David Landrum, advocacy director at the Evangelical Alliance said: “No doubt, the Girls Brigade will be the main beneficiaries from this erroneous decision, because as the growing popularity of faith schools attests, parents will always seek to provide religious rather than secular humanist values for their children.”

In 2007 the Girl Guides started a programme called ‘Get Wise’ to teach about ‘sexual health’. The programme sank into embarrassed obscurity, but the organisation’s website had a page called ‘fit for life’ which promoted new age treatments such as aromatherapy, colour therapy (whatever that might be) and yoga.  The guiding website forum urges girls to ‘indulge your inner gossip queen‘.

We understand there is still a weblink to the fpa in the GirlGuiding members area but another, to a Government url astonishingly called ‘www.playingsafely.co.uk’, as if sex is just an adolescent recreational activity, appears to have been dropped. The link was redirected straight to a suggestive NHS website called condomessentialwear.co.uk.

The Girl Guides were founded in 1909 by Agnes Baden-Powell, sister of Robert Baden-Powell, the architect of the Scouting movement.

Humanists want the church out of schools

Ted Cantle, who wants an end to government funding for both faith schools and church-run soup kitchens, speaking at a conference organised by the National Secular Society.

A group of humanists are demanding that faith schools should be open to all children, regardless of their parents’ religion.

The Fair Admissions Campaign wants all state-funded schools in England and Wales to be open equally to all children, without regard to religion or belief.

The Church of England’s website says: ‘

Latest available statistics indicate one in four primary schools and one in 16 secondary schools in England are Church of England schools. Approaching one million pupils are educated in more than 4,700 Church of England schools.’

The Fair Admissions Campaign claims that it is ‘widely supported’, by those at its meetings perhaps.  In the real world, according the Church of England:

‘Seven in ten (72%) of the population agree that Church of England schools help young people to grow into responsible members of society and 8 in 10 (80%) agree that they promote good behaviour and positive attitudes.’

Reporting on the story for the Huffington Post, Simon Goulden said:

‘I think that it is quite clear that faith schools tend to have a strong ethos emphasising respect for authority, the virtues of hard work, discipline and a sense of duty rather than just rights, a commitment to high ideals, a willingness to learn and a sense of social responsibility. Their ethos also gives a preference for earned self-respect rather than unearned self-esteem and the idea of an objective moral order transcending subjective personal preferences.’

The Campaign is being supported by most of the usual secularist suspects including the Accord Coalition, the Association of Teachers and Lecturers, the British Humanist AssociationBritish Muslims for Secular Democracy, Professor Ted Cantle CBE and the iCoCo Foundation, the Centre for Studies on Inclusive Education, the anti-Christian think tank Ekklesia, the Hindu Academy, the Liberal Democrat Education AssociationLiberal YouthRichmond Inclusive Schools Campaign, the Runnymede Trust, the Socialist Educational Association (affiliated to the Labour Party), and the General Assembly of Unitarian and Free Christian Churches.

In a glimpse into the arcane and incestuous nature of secularism, the Accord Coaltion is itself an amalgamation of the Association of Teachers and Lecturers, the British Humanist Association, British Muslims for Secular Democracy, the Campaign for State Education, Ekklesia, the General Assembly of Unitarian and Free Christian Churches, the Hindu Academy, the Lesbian and Gay Christian Movement, Liberal Youth, the National Union of Teachers, the Socialist Education Association, the Runnymede Trust and Women Against Fundamentalism

Professor Ted Cantle, named as a leading figure behind the campaign, is anti-multicultural to the extent that he would ban the Government from giving any funding to church-run soup kitchens, on the grounds that ‘they fuel separation in communities’.

There is no evidence whatsoever that faith-based schools, by which we mean mainly Church of England schools, are divisive or that they are turning out suicide bombers or young men eager to knife soldiers on the streets of Greenwich.  There is no evidence that church-run soup kitchens, homeless shelters, drop-ins and other Christian contributions to the ‘big society’ fuel separation in any way at all.

But that will not stop the relentless assault on our Christian Heritage from those who hate the Lord Jesus Christ.

Kings of the Earth meet in Watford

'London's Country Estate' is how the 5-Star Grove Hotel describes itself
‘London’s Country Estate’ is how the 5-Star Grove Hotel describes itself

The world’s top politicians, industrialists and bankers will decide this weekend how the world will be run.

The ‘Bilderberg’ group is meeting at the Grove Hotel in Watford from 6th to 9th June 2013 under the chairmanship of Henri de Castries, Chairman and CEO of AXA, to plan and plot world events. Whatever these wealthy people decide, and their plans do not always work out, it will be designed to benefit them first and the rest of us a long way behind.

There is an especially large contingent from the UK this year:

Marcus Agius, Former Chairman, Barclays plc
Helen Alexander, Chairman, UBM plc
Ed Balls MP, Shadow Chancellor of the Exchequer
John Bell, Regius Professor of Medicine, University of Oxford
Peter, Lord Carrington, Former Honorary Chairman, Bilderberg Meetings
Kenneth Clarke MP, top Bilderberg insider
Sherard Cowper-Coles,Business Development Director, International, BAE Systems plc
Ian Davis, Senior Partner Emeritus, McKinsey & Company
Robert Dudley, Group Chief Executive, BP plc
Douglas J. Flint, Group Chairman, HSBC Holdings plc
Stuart Gulliver, Group Chief Executive, HSBC Holdings plc
Simon Henry, CFO, Royal Dutch Shell plc
John, Lord Kerr of Kinlochard, Former Diplomat
Peter, Lord Mandelson, Chairman, Global Counsel; Chairman, Lazard International
John Micklethwait, Editor-in-Chief, The Economist
David Omand, Visiting Professor, King’s College London
George Osborne, Chancellor of the Exchequer
Simon Robertson, Partner, Robertson Robey Associates LLP; Deputy Chairman, HSBC Holdings
Martin Taylor, Former Chairman, Syngenta AG
Peter R. Voser, CEO, Royal Dutch Shell plc
Shirley, Baroness Williams of Crosby
Martin H. Wolf, Chief Economics Commentator, The Financial Times
Wright, DavidVice Chairman, Barclays plc

There is apparently a new spirit of openess in Bilderberg, after years of utmost (and widely breached) secrecy, but do not expect to see too much of what is decided and how in the press, despite the presence of journalists among the delegates. Everything is under ‘Chatham House Rules’ and no comment is attibuted to anyone. Bilderberg say: ‘There is no detailed agenda, no resolutions are proposed, no votes are taken, and no policy statements are issued.’

The Bilderberg Group has had a website for a couple of years now. How open they are may be judged from the fact that they put up this year’s delegates list then took it down in a panic. That was not before it was picked up and circulated all around the world. You can see the full list here. They say: ‘About two thirds of the participants come from Europe and the rest from North America; one third from politics and government and the rest from other fields.’  (More delegates, and historical lists.)

Apparently, ‘the privacy of the meetings, … has no purpose other than to allow participants to speak their minds openly and freely’. ‘Bilderberg is a small, flexible, informal and off-the-record international forum in which different viewpoints can be expressed and mutual understanding enhanced’.

According to Bilderberg, despite having no agenda, they will be discussing (my comments in brackets):

• Can the US and Europe grow faster and create jobs? (and make money for the bankers)
• Jobs, entitlement and debt (and making money for the bankers)
• How big data is changing almost everything (you just can’t keep Bilderberg secret anymore)
• Nationalism and populism (they don’t like those two for sure!)
• US foreign policy (what new wars should we expect?)
• Africa’s challenges (how best to exploit the continent and promote abortion and sodomy)
• Cyber warfare and the proliferation of asymmetric threats (protecting themselves)
• Major trends in medical research (don’t expect too much Christian morality to intrude)
• Online education: promise and impacts (not sure how they will exploit that)
• Politics of the European Union (Help! The Euro dream is falling apart)
• Developments in the Middle East (they love ‘democracy’ and wars make money)
• Current affairs (preparing the way for the Antichrist? Just a guess!)

Pray that all plans for globalism and world domination are thwarted. Pray this Psalm:

Psalm 2:1 Why do the heathen rage, and the people imagine a vain thing?
2 The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the LORD, and against his anointed, saying,
3 Let us break their bands asunder, and cast away their cords from us.
4 He that sitteth in the heavens shall laugh: the Lord shall have them in derision.
5 Then shall he speak unto them in his wrath, and vex them in his sore displeasure.
6 Yet have I set my king upon my holy hill of Zion.
7 I will declare the decree: the LORD hath said unto me, Thou art my Son; this day have I begotten thee.
8 Ask of me, and I shall give thee the heathen for thine inheritance, and the uttermost parts of the earth for thy possession.
9 Thou shalt break them with a rod of iron; thou shalt dash them in pieces like a potter’s vessel.
10 Be wise now therefore, O ye kings: be instructed, ye judges of the earth.
11 Serve the LORD with fear, and rejoice with trembling.
12 Kiss the Son, lest he be angry, and ye perish from the way, when his wrath is kindled but a little. Blessed are all they that put their trust in him.

Boys & girls swop guns & dolls in Scotland

The Swedish arm of Toys R Us is suggesting girls play with guns. Zero Tolerance think this will reduce violence. But only against women.
The Swedish arm of Toys R Us is suggesting girls play with guns. Zero Tolerance think this will reduce violence. But only against women.  Violence against men doesn’t matter.

Nursery children in Scotland are the target of a new campaign that aims to end sexism in pre-schools and prevent future domestic violence by encouraging boys to swap their cars for dolls and little girls to dress up as pirates, says The Times.

The ‘Just Like a Child’ initiative being launched this week by ‘Zero Tolerance’, a charity that claims to ‘fight violence against women’, aims to ‘end gender stereotyping in nurseries’ by giving boys dolls to play with and encouraging girls to play with guns and be ‘strong and tough’.

Jenny Kemp, Zero Tolerance coordinator, writes: “We believe that it is never too early to question what is seen as ‘normal’ or what is traditionally expected of boys and girls in our society. In fact, we believe that doing so from a very young age helps to protect children from the negative consequences of inequality and discrimination as they grow into adults.”

Liz Ely, a ‘development officer’ at Zero Tolerance, said: “From the moment children are born they are told that boys must be strong and tough, and girls are delicate and pretty. These stereotypes have real and lasting consequences. The fact that as a society we tell boys not to express their emotions, and girls that they are not suited to science and maths, sets children on a path to inequality; this inequality lays the foundations for abuse and violence in later life.”

Dr Sarah Morton, a ‘family expert’ and psychologist at the University of Edinburgh, said ‘our research has found a clear link between gender stereotypes and violence against women and children.’

It would be interesting to see that research, and how ‘gender stereotypes’ were quantified, because common sense might lean to the view that it is insecurity rather than some supposed ‘inequality’ which lies at the heart of a desire to lash out, and that by encouraging insecurity in their gender identity this programme will increase the likelihood that these boys and girls will grow up unbalanced and abusive.

The website www.zerotolerance.org.uk says the organisation ‘is a charity working to tackle the causes of men’s violence against women. Too many women in Scotland, and around the world, experience violence from men – most often men they are close to and/or who are in a position of power over them. Men’s violence against women is caused by gender inequality, and it helps this inequality to continue.’

There is so much wrong in that unbalanced statement it is hard to know where to begin. For a start, women’s violence and abuse against men apparently either does not happen or does not matter to ‘Zero Tolerance’. The idea that men are always ‘in a position of power’ over women is laughable. Lastly, where does the idea come from that violence is simply and exclusively ’caused by gender inequality?’ Abuse of any sort is caused by sin, and the roots of it can lie in insecurity, irritation, drunkenness, provocation, mental problems or plain old wickedness. And the fair sex are not immune from any of those.

One strongly gets the impression that there is either an anti-Christian, feminist political agenda behind the approach of ‘Zero Tolerance’ or there are some personal issues becoming rather too public.  Either way, it is not just sad but frankly mendacious to involve children in a social experiment which could leave them trying to work out problems with gender identity later in life.

It would be better and more effective to teach boys that they have a responsibility to protect and care for girls, but of course that would reinforce the very ‘gender stereotype’ that the feministas at Zero Tolerance so detest.

Genesis 2:18 And the LORD God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him.

Isaiah 3:12 As for my people, children are their oppressors, and women rule over them. O my people, they which lead thee cause thee to err, and destroy the way of thy paths.

1Peter 3:7 Likewise, ye husbands, dwell with them according to knowledge, giving honour unto the wife, as unto the weaker vessel, and as being heirs together of the grace of life; that your prayers be not hindered

Hammond warns against redefining marriage

Rt Hon Philip Hammond MP
Rt Hon Philip Hammond MP

Secretary of State for Defence, Philip Hammond, has warned of the danger of redefining marriage.

Speaking on BBC’s Question Time, he said there was no great demand in the country for change and criticised the amount of parliamentary time devoted to the issue. “I have just never felt that this is what we should be focusing on,” he told the audience.

“This change does redefine marriage. For millions of people who are married, the meaning of marriage changes.

“There is a real sense of anger among many people who are married that any government thinks it can change the definition of an institution like marriage.

“There was no huge demand for this and we didn’t need to spend a lot of parliamentary time and upset vast numbers of people to do it,” he added.

The comments from such a senior Cabinet colleague will embarrass David Cameron, and encourage Parliamentary opposition to the measure.

French Legalise ‘Gay Marriage’

Francois Hollande has signed the Bill into law
Francois Hollande

France’s president has signed into law a controversial bill making the country the ninth in Europe, and 14th globally, to legalise gay marriage, reports the BBC.

On Friday, the Constitutional Council rejected a challenge by the opposition, clearing the way for Francois Hollande to sign the bill.

The deeply unpopular Hollande said: “I have taken [the decision]; now it is time to respect the law of the Republic.”

The first ‘gay wedding’ could be held 10 days after the bill’s signing.

The Constitutional Council ruled  that same-sex marriage “did not run contrary to any constitutional principles,” and that it did not infringe on “basic rights or liberties or national sovereignty”.

It said the interest of the child would be paramount in adoption cases, cautioning that legalising same-sex adoption would not automatically mean the “right to a child”.

50% of the French electorate oppose adoption of children by homosexuals and the opposition group Manif Pour Tous say that a majority of the electorate oppose Hollande’s flagship measure.

New Zealand legalised ‘gay marriage’ last month.  France is now the 14th country to overturn God’s institution of marriage in which a man joins a woman in a one-flesh union.  Commentators have pointed out that basic anatomy denies the ability to be ‘one flesh’ to two homosexuals, mandating a redefinition of marriage.

France is also the ninth country in Europe to allow same-sex marriage.  The others  are Norway, Sweden, Iceland, Denmark, Belgium, the Netherlands, Portugal and Spain.

South Africa, Canada, Uruguay and Argentina have also changed the definition of marriage.

In January, a protest in Paris against the bill by Manif Pour Tous attracted some 340,000 people according to police – one of the biggest public demonstrations in France in decades. Organisers put the figure at 800,000.

Last month, a youth organiser for Manif Pour Tous, Samuel Lafont, was attacked at Odeon métro station by a homosexual gang. He was stabbed in the back six times, as well as sustaining other injuries. Two persons accompanying him were also hurt.

The following morning there were tweets on Twitter that celebrated what happened. One stated that having no news from Lafont for hours, s/he hoped that Lafont was dead but “not from worry”.

Schoolgirls forced into lesbian role-play

Todd Starnes got the story right.
Todd Starnes got the story right.

Now who would force schoolgirls into lesbian role-play?  Would it be some sadistic sex-maniac?  The correct answer is the Principal of Linden Avenue Middle School in Red Hook, New York.

As part of an ‘anti-bullying presentation on gender identity and sexual orientation’ given to a class of 8th-graders (that’s 13-14 for us Brits), at least one of the girls was instructed to ask another girl for a kiss.

The story was reported by Todd Starnes of Fox News, who was immediately castigated by the liberal press.  Alternet accused him and Fox news of having got the story about a ‘forced lesbian kiss’ wrong.  But Starnes never said there was a forced kiss, only that the girls were forced to ask for one.  Another blogger said, amid bad language, that Starnes was wrong to call it ‘lesbian role play’, but it is difficult to know what else to call it.

But the line Starnes took was defended in eloquent terms by another blogger, Mr Conservative whose post is worth a read.  (In the US, we should point out, a ‘conservative’ is someone concerned to defend the status quo, including the Christian faith, the institution of the family and basic morality.)

According to the local paper, the PoughKeepsie Journal, parents were especially angry that no notice was given about the class, which included the now mandatory sex education propaganda about it being OK to have sex ‘when you are ready’.

‘”I am furious,” said Mandy Coon, whose daughter was in the class. “I am her parent. Where does anyone get the right to tell her that it’s okay for her to have sex?”’

Comments like that, of course, betray the 20th-century thinking that so many parents have.  Times have moved on.  The State is now your child’s parent, Mandy.  You are just her birth mother.  Or so it seems.

Mandy Coon told reporters that her daughter said, ‘Mom we all get teased and picked on enough. Now I’m going to be called a lesbian because I had to ask another girl if I could kiss her.’

The case illustrates that anti-bullying classes run by homosexuals, or designed to further the gay cause, are not about reducing bullying, they are about desensitising and indoctrinating with the ruling State philosophy that homosexuality is not just acceptable but good and to be promoted.

Tolerance towards homosexuals will hardly be increased by such lessons, but maybe just one child will start to think ‘maybe I’m gay’ and be recruited to the lifestyle.

This side of the pond, we have Sir Ian McKellen, Stonewall and organisations such as School’s Out driving the push to normalise homosexuality.

As the US National Organisation for Marriage points out, such lessons will become the norm in schools the moment ‘gay marriage’ is legalised, as it was in New York in July 2011.

The story has implications for the United Kingdom.  We should never think things can’t get worse.
