Bill Gates and the New Malthusians

To commemorate the 100th anniversary of the first eugenics conference, the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation put on a family planning conference this summer.

The conference, which began on 11 July and was co-hosted by the UK Department for International Development, included among its coalition partners such organizations as Planned Parenthood, Marie Stopes International, and the United Nations Populations Fund (UNFPA).

From Hard Eugenics to Soft Eugenics

The original conference that Bill Gates wished to commemorate was titled The First International Eugenics Congress. It was convened in London from 24-29 July, 1912, and was presided over by Leonard Darwin, the son of Charles Darwin. The conference was dedicated to Charles Darwin’s half-cousin Francis Galton (1822–1911). Galton invented the term Eugenics to describe his theory that man could be perfected through strategic breeding. His ideas that certain races are genetically superior to other races had a profound impact on later Nazi theorists.

The 1912 conference included an exhibit by the American Breeders’ Association, whose former president, Harry Laughlin, proposed to eradicate the “inferior” members of society through compulsory sterilization. The conference featured a presentation from Bleeker van Wagenen, who gave a report on the progress of sterilization laws in the United States and advocated compulsory sterilization as a means for improving the human gene pool.

Early 20th century Eugenics theory was often accompanied by the notion that economics can be improved by decreasing the surplus population. Such ideas were based on the theories of Thomas Malthus (1766 –1834) who suggested that the poor were draining the world’s recourses. One of Malthus’s solutions for reducing the surplus population was to introduce policies specifically designed to bring death to large numbers of peasants. For example, he encouraged poor people to move near swamps, because he knew that they would catch diseases there and begin dying off.

The conference that the Gates Foundation put on to commemorate The First International Eugenics Congress included no calls for forced sterilization, but Bill and Malinda Gates did pledge hundreds of millions of dollars to improve access to contraception in the developing world. Following in the footsteps of early 20th century social engineering theory, they echoed Malthus by suggesting that we have an economic responsibility to ensure that there are fewer people. Wendy Wright has rightly called this the “latest effort to blame children for poverty and women’s troubles.”

Bill Gates is quick to repudiate his dependence on Malthus. In an interview with PBS, he told Moyers that “The one issue that really grabbed me as urgent were issues related to population” and he shared how originally he “thought that the Malthusian principles applied at least in the developing countries.” Gates went on to say how he came to understand that “essentially Malthus was wrong” and that alternatives to Malthus’s doomsday scenarios included raising wealth, improving health and educating women.

But we should not be too quick to assume that Bill and Melinda Gates have completely abandoned their earlier Malthusian framework. On the contrary, Mr and Mrs Gates have both frequently drawn attention to the economic ramifications of there being too many people. This was made explicit by Melinda Gates in 2011 when she commented that “Government leaders…are now beginning to understand that providing access to contraceptives is a cost-effective way to foster economic growth…”

So what exactly is the relation between contraception and economic growth? The connection is simple: fewer people = more resources. This may not be the hard eugenics of Malthus, but it certainly involves what Andressen Blom and James Bell have appropriately termed “soft negative eugenics.” In an article for The American Thinker last June, Blom and Bell define soft eugenics as follows:

“for economic reasons governments should use taxpayer dollars to underwrite the decisions of citizens to pursue recreational sexual activity.  The underlying economic assumption is that the prospective children of the poor citizens likely to utilize such government-funded programs would be likely to hamper economic growth if they are born.”

Decreasing the Surplus Population

This is not the first time that Bill and Malinda Gates have ventured into population control. At the Technology, Entertainment and Design 2010 Conference, Bill Gates gave a talk in which he suggested that the solution to global warming is to have fewer people.

This is part of a new groundswell of interest in population control which posits a direct relationship between global warming and the amount of people on the earth. The Microsoft founder reduced our planet’s problem to a simple equation: CO2=P x S x E x C CO2 (total population-emitted CO2 per year) = P (people) x S (services per person) x E (average energy per service) x C (average CO2 emitted per unit of energy).

The goal, Gates said, was to “get this down to zero.” Referring to P(eople) specifically, he said, “Now if we do a really great job on new vaccines, healthcare, reproductive health services, we could lower that by perhaps 10 or 15 percent.”

That’s right. Rather than leading to more life, which was the original purpose of vaccines and healthcare, their great advantage in Gates’ mind is that they can lead to fewer people. While this is obviously true when it comes to contraception, it is hard to understand how vaccination is specifically related to a decrease in the population. (But hold onto that thought.)

The Gates Foundation are certainly doing all they can to decrease what it sees as surplus population. In May of this year, they gave a grant of $100,000 to researchers at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill to develop a new type of ultrasound which has been described as a “non-invasive, reversible form of birth control for men.” Already tested on animals, it would make a man infertile for up to six months. Nine other grants were given to other scientists attempting to create new forms of contraception.

Forced Sterilization

One of the coalition partners in last month’s conference was Planned Parenthood, whose founder Margaret Sanger hoped to “assist the race towards the elimination of the unfit.” Similarly, Marie Stopes International, who also had a prominent presence at the conference, was started by a woman who advocated for “the sterilization of those totally unfit for parenthood [to be] made an immediate possibility, indeed made compulsory.”  (To read more about forced sterilization in the 20th century, see my article ‘Social Engineering and the Dark Side of American Liberalism.’)

But while these organizations previously supported forced sterilization, surely no one in the West still thinks that the poor and ‘feeble minded’ ought to be subjected to compulsory sterilization, right? Well, not so fast. Consider the following facts:

The Hidden Truth About Vaccines and Forced Sterilization

Rather than leading to more life, which was the original purpose of vaccines and healthcare, their great advantage in Gates’ mind (at least according to his remarks at the Technology, Entertainment and Design 2010 Conference) is that they can lead to fewer people. While this is obviously true when it comes to contraception, it is hard to understand how vaccines are specifically related to a decrease in the population.

The connection between vaccines and population control becomes clearer if we consider an event that occurred in the early 1990’s. The World Health Organization, working under the control of the UN, launched a campaign to vaccinate millions of people in Nicaragua, Mexico and the Philippines against tetanus. The project was supported by the Rockefeller Foundation, the World Bank, the UN Development Programme, and the US’s National Institutes of Health.

Tetanus is a potentially lethal infection caused by external wounds or cuts from things like rusty nails. There is nothing unusual in tetanus inoculations, which are routine in the Western World. But there was something that didn’t quite add up about these particular vaccinations.

For one thing, the WHO was choosing to only vaccinate females. For another thing, the girls they chose to vaccinate are primarily those between the ages of 15 and 45 (in Nicaragua the age range was 12-49.)

It wasn’t just disease experts who noticed that something was amiss. After all, it doesn’t take a great deal of intelligence to know that men and boys are more prone to wounds from cuts and rusty nails than ladies. So why was the WHO only choosing to vaccinate girls of child-bearing age?

To make matters more suspicious, the vaccination protocols were calling for multiple injections — three within three months and a total of five altogether. However, tetanus vaccinations provide protection for ten years or more, so why this call for multiple inoculations?

These were the questions that Comite Pro Vida de Mexico, a Roman Catholic lay organization, began asking and why they decided to have some vaccine samples tested.

The tests revealed that the tetanus vaccine contained human chorionic gonadotrophin (hCG). hCG is a natural hormone that is secreted during the initial stages of pregnancy. When this hormone is combined with the tetanus toxoid carrier, it tricks the body into thinking that hCG is an invading enemy, with the result that a woman’s body begins producing anti-hCG antibodies, making it impossible for her to ever maintain a pregnancy.

After a number of labs exposed that the vaccine was really a life-time birth control shot, WHO officials tried to keep things quiet and continued administering the anti-fertility injections. It was only after the courts intervened that the WHO was forced to stop administering the vaccine. Unfortunately, by then the damage had already been done and thousands of girls in Nicaragua, Mexico and the Philippines had been rendered permanently infertile. The scandal made it all the way up to the Philippines Supreme Court. To quote from an article on Lifesite news,

LifeSiteNews.com reported that in 1995, the Catholic Women’s League of the Philippines won a court order halting a UNICEF anti-tetanus program because the vaccine had been laced with B-hCG, which when given in a vaccine permanently causes women to be unable to sustain a pregnancy. The Supreme Court of the Philippines found the surreptitious sterilization program had already vaccinated three million women, aged 12 to 45. B-hCG-laced vaccine was also found in at least four other developing countries.

Was the 1990s tetanus scandal simply a medical blunder? Hardly! For 20 years prior to the incident, WHO researchers had been actively involved in creating anti-fertility vaccines utilizing hCG tied to tetanus toxoid as a carrier. This was publically documented in medical journals from the 70s through to the 90s.

What could possibly have motivated the World Health Organization to knowingly, but covertly, sterilize thousands of women in third world countries? While we do not have sufficient information to answer this question for definite, the answer could have something to do with the fact that population control is once again a growing public concern among the world’s elite. Consider that

  • Population control seems to be the pet topic among those men who control much of the world’s wealth. Not only Bill Gates but also Warren Buffett and Ted Turner have all spoken publically in favour of drastically reducing the human species, and supported programs designed to eliminate the excess in babies. For example, in 1996, Ted Turner stated that, “A total population of 250-300 million people, a 95% decline from present levels, would be ideal.”
  • In an interview with the New York Times in 2009, Supreme Court Justice Ginsburg alluded to the fact that abortion is all about getting rid of certain types of people that we do not want around: “Frankly I had thought that at the time Roe was decided, there was concern about population growth and particularly growth in populations that we don’t want to have too many of.”
  • Echoing comments made by the Optimum Population Trust in 2007, The London School of Economics suggested in 2009 that the best way to combat global warming is to reduce the surplus population through contraception and abortion. Their logic is simple: more people = more polluters.
  • A 2007 report, written by specialist Professor Barry Walters for the Australian medical journal, called for couples with more than two children to be charged a lifelong tax to offset their extra offspring’s carbon dioxide emissions. Parents would be charged $5,000 a head for every child after their second, and an annual tax of up to $800.
  • In a 1981 interview, Thomas Ferguson of the United States Department Office of Population Affairs, commented that “we must reduce population levels. Either governments do it our way, through nice clean methods, or they will get the kinds of mess that we have in El Salvador, or in Iran or in Beirut. Population is a political problem. Once population is out of control, it requires authoritarian government, even fascism, to reduce it…”
  • College professors and leaders frequently cite the Georgia Guidestones to in arguing that that we should “maintain humanity under 500,000,000 in perpetual balance with nature.” To achieve that, the human population would have to be thinned by 90%.
  • The Anglo-Dutch financial empire has been and still is committed to reducing the world’s population from the present 6.7 billion, to under 2 billion persons. This has been stated repeatedly in the post-war period by such leading spokesmen as Lord Bertrand Russell, Julian Huxley, and World Wildlife Fund founders Prince Bernhard of the Netherlands and the still-living Prince Philip, who has reiterated many times his desire to see the human population thinned.
  • Robert McNamara of the World Bank has said, “Excessive population growth is the greatest single obstacle to the economic and social advancement of most of the societies in the developing world.”
  • An initiative for the United Nations ECO-92 Earth Charter reads, “The present vast overpopulation, now far beyond the world carrying capacity, cannot be answered by future reductions in the birth rate due to contraception, sterilization and abortion, but must be met in the present by the reduction of numbers presently existing. This must be done by whatever means necessary.”
  • Dr. Henry Kissinger has said “World population needs to be decreased by 50%.”
  • Friends of the Earth founder, David Brower, has stated, “That’s the first thing to do, start controlling the population in affluent white America, where a child born to a white American will use about fifty times the resources of a child born in the black ghetto.” “Childbearing [should be] a punishable crime against society, unless the parents hold a government license…. All potential parents [should be] required to use contraceptive chemicals, the government issuing antidotes to citizens chosen for childbearing.”
  • President Obama’s top science and technology advisor, John P. Holdren, has advocated the possibility of a “planetary regime” that would use a “global police force” to enforce totalitarian measures of population control, including forced abortions, mass sterilization programs conducted via the food and water supply, as well as mandatory bodily implants that would prevent couples from having children.
  • The Secretary of State for International Development, Rt Hon Andrew Mitchell MP, is a hard-line pro-abortionist in his ideal job.  In November 2010 he proposed to “hard-wire” abortion and contraceptive services into overseas development programmes.  In December 2010 this came to fruition as he announced plans to spend an extra £2.1 billion on programmes including abortion and contraception, drawing a rebuke from the Society for the Protection of Unborn Children.  The Governments’ abortion policy is now an integral part of their foreign aid packages.

WRITE: To your MP and ask your MP to protest to the Secretary of State for International Development about the way that Government money was used last month to commemorate the legacy of 20th century Eugenics.  Your MP’s address is House of Commons, London, SW1A 0AA.  If you do not know who your MP is or wish to email your MP instead, click here to go direct to the UK Parliament’s list of MPs.

PRAY: That the Lord will continue to expose the evil being promoted by family planners and population control advocates.  Pray that the plans of Bill and Melinda Gates will be channelled towards life rather than death.  Pray that legislators overseas will become alert to the evil enclosed in the Trojan Horses of aid from the Gates Foundation and the UK Government.  Pray that God will grant Andrew Mitchell a spirit of repentance or remove him and that the UK’s pro-abortion policy will not stand.

‘Evil Olympics’ closes but Rogge honoured ‘Palestinians’

Jaques Rogge pictured in Forbes Magazine wearing Palestinian colours

The Olympic closing ceremony has focussed attention on Jacques Rogge, President of the International Olympic Committee (IOC).  Outside the Olympics, the Muslim ‘Evil Olympics’ group tried to hold a demonstration.  Whatever misgivings Christians had about the Games, we thank God they passed peacefully.

M. Rogge was on hand to award the medals for the Men’s Marathon in the last medal ceremony of the games.

No ‘One Minute of Silence’

The IOC refused to hold a minute’s silence to remember the 11 Israeli victims of the Munich massacre in 1972.  Demands for such an observance came from the governments of Canada, Australia, USA, Germany, Italy and Israel,  but not from that of the UK.  In response, IOC officials attended a small ceremony on 6th August outside the games organised by the Israeli Embassy.

Suspicions have been raised of a pro-Palestinian bias in the IOC by a photograph published by Forbes magazine in November 2011. The caption below it read:

‘President of the International Olympic Committee Jacques Rogge pauses during a press conference in the West Bank city of Ramallah, Tuesday, Oct. 5, 2010. Rogge on Tuesday expressed concern over “obstacles” facing Palestinian athletes, and in veiled criticism of Israel said athletes should be granted free movement regardless of politics.’

There was in fact a Palestinian team at the London Olympics in 2012, as there has been in every Olympic Games since 1996.  None of the five athletes progressed to the finals.

‘Evil Olympics’ is ‘Muslims against Crusades’ revisited

Meanwhile, outside the stadium, a planned demonstration against the ‘Evil Olympics’ by Islamists was called off when police refused it a static license.

The new group has put up a website, http://evilolympics.com/index.php#, on which they complain that nations taking part are ‘oppressing Muslims’.  In reality, the new group is merely the banned ‘Muslims against the Crusades’ under a new name.  SMS messages were sent out from a number associated with Anjem Choudary, who describes himself as Chairman of the Society of Muslim Lawyers, Judge at the Shari’ah Court of the UK and Former UK Head of Al-Muhajiroun.

‘Evil Olympics’ singles out four countries for particularly oppressing Muslims.

The first is Israel, so that is no surprise, accused of being where the mainly-Sunni Muslim Palestinians want to be. The second is China, which dislikes any religion, and is mounting a Ramadan clampdown on the Uighur Sunni Muslims in the northwestern region of Xinjiang.  The third country is Burma, where the Buddhist regime has closed mosques attended by the Sunni Muslim Rohingya people in Arakan.

Interestingly, the fourth country accused by ‘Evil Olympics’ of oppressing Muslims is Syria.  Syria is usually thought of as a Muslim state.  However, In Syria, the Alawite Shia minority, led by President Assad, is fighting for its life against Sunni Muslim rebels, as we have reported before. (see links below)

The Sunni / Shia divide

It is curious that in all four countries accused of oppressing Muslims, it is Sunni Muslims whom ‘Evil Olympics’ support.  It can be argued that Sunnis form the majority of Muslims in the UK and worldwide, and we shall come to that.  But ‘Evil Olympics’ taking sides in Syria makes sense when we realise that Anjem Choudary has been identified as a Sunni Muslim.  Al-Muhajiroun, of which Anjem Choudary was the UK head and Sheik Omar Bakri the spiritual leader, is said by US intelligence to be a Sunni Muslim group.  Al Quaeda is Sunni Muslim, as is its birthplace of Saudi Arabia, which is why they are supporting the Syrian rebels rather than President Assad.

‘Evil Olympics’ also castigate the USA and UK for their actions in Iraq and Afghanistan.  Christian Voice has consistently opposed British involvement in both countries.  But Afghanistan has a Sunni Muslim majority, whilst the deposed Saddam Hussein was a Sunni Muslim in a majority Shia nation.  The terrorist group Hezbollah, prominent in Lebanon and supported by Syria and Iran, is Shia Muslim.  Iran is 93% Shia, Azerbaijan 75%, Iraq 63% and Bahrain 61%.  Yemen is 47% Shia and Lebanon 41% Shia.  All other Muslim countries have greater Sunni majorities.

Worldwide, Muslims split into an estimated 90% Sunni and 10% Shia.  Most Muslims in Britain (around 95%) are Sunni Muslim.  See this pro-Muslim link: http://guide.muslimsinbritain.org/guide3.html

Finally, we thank God there was no terrorist incident at the Games.  That can mean the conspiracy theorists were wrong or that it was only averted because of the noise they made, according to one’s point of view.

£32.5m for the anti-Christian Syrian rebels

Rt Hon William Hague MP, Her Majesty’s Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs

The UK Government is giving millions to the Syrian rebels to spend on logistical support, according to the BBC.

Last month we reported on the growing persecution of Syria’s 10% Christian minority by its Sunni Muslim rebels and the flat refusal of the UK government to acknowledge that this was happening.

The attitude of the rebels is clearly summed up by: “The Christians to Beirut, the Alawites to the grave” Only the Russians and Chinese, we said in our article, were standing between the Christians, Syria’s Alawite minority, of whom President Assad is the most prominent member, the state of Israel, and a bloodbath.

Days later the BBC news also reported the attacks on the church.

Now Mr William Hague MP, HM Foreign Secretary, (who, incidentally, is not known for his support of Israel) is giving £5m of taxpayers’ money to the Syrian rebels, for ‘communications and body armour’ to go with the £27.5m he has already given them for ‘humanitarian aid’ and the weapons they are getting from Saudi Arabia.  It is reported that the American CIA are also helping to arm the rebels.

If we step out of Mr Hague’s simplistic ‘Assad = dictator = bad, rebels = democracy = good’ mindset, we see that no one side is a pure as the driven snow, but that the deciding factor is that the USA/EU/Soros sponsored rise of the Muslim brotherhood and Al Quaeda elements in Syria and across the Middle East is a thoroughly bad thing.

Now some may protest that the rise of militant Islam is all ‘part of the end times’ and we should not be surprised.  Indeed, no-one should be surprised at any of the evident spiritual wickedness in high places today, nor at any time in human history.  With no restraint, the heart of the sons of men is fully set in them to do evil (Eccl 8:11) and the kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the LORD, and against his anointed (Psalm 2:2).

But it is taking the ‘end times’ idea to the point where we do nothing except gaze at the gathering clouds in hopeful expectation to which Christian Voice is opposed.  The Lord said ‘Occupy till I come’ (Luke 19:13).

We can and should be praying for our brethren in Syria and everywhere else the church is persecuted and we should be witnessing to our MPs and asking questions of them.

PRAY: That Britain will pull back from its unqualified support of the Syrian rebels and realise that the Assad regime, with all its faults, remains the last protector of the Christian and Alawite minorities in Syria.  Pray for more even reporting of the conflict.  Pray that the Russians and Chinese will stand firm against Western and Saudi duplicity.

Ask your MPEmail address HERE – to ask the Foreign Secretary:

1 What budget is this £32.5million for the Syrian rebels coming out of?

2 At a time of austerity, what is the benefit to Britain?

3 What does Mr Hague’s intelligence tell him about the attitude of the rebels to Syria’s Christian and Alawite minorities?

4 What does his intelligence tell him about what is happening to Christians in Iraq, Tunisia, Libya and Egypt?

5 When will he stop his support of Islamic militants set on the extermination of minorities in Syria and begin to deal even-handedly to bring peace, not escalation?

6 Ask your MP to ask Mr Hague and Alastair Burt, his deputy, to rescind the £32.5m.

An Explosion of Olympic Conspiracy Theories

A series of surprising coincidences have led some theorists to issue a warning that the Illuminati may have a bomb that they are planning to detonate during the 2012 London Olympics. Many Christian Voice members have been concerned about this and have asked us to investigate the warnings raised in the video ‘London 2012 Olympics – 100,000 to Die?

We would like to make clear from the outset that we are not jumping on board with this conspiracy theory. Instead our intent is simply to present the relevant facts in as objective a manner as possible, so that our members (particularly those who live or work in London) are in a better position to make up their own minds on the matter.
We begin by simply stating the facts.

FACT #1: Large-scale disasters are often anticipated in comics, novels, simulations or TV programs prior to the event itself. These often mirror the real event with surprising detail.

In 1886 a novelist anticipated the sinking of the Titanic in a book titled The Sinking of a Modern Liner. The website titanic.com website explains how there were amazing correspondences between the details in the novel and what actually transpired in 1912. But this was not the only premonition of the disaster. In 1898, the American author Morgan Robertson wrote a novel titled Futility, or the Wreck of the Titan, in which he also predicted the 1912 disaster with an almost uncanny precision. (To read more, see ‘Titanic Sinking Foretold In Fictional Accounts Years Before Disaster)

Prior to the bombing of the Twin Towers on September 11, 2001, there were a number of references to it in stories and TV programs. Some of these described the event in surprising detail.  This includes:

  • a June 1983 edition of the Marvel Comic Book shows the tops of the Twin Towers destroyed after a take-over of the Third Reich.
  • A 1992 Deathstroke comic book shows one of the twin towers on fire with an eerie resemblance to what would later transpire.
  • In 1993 the French Comic Book Mortadelo & Filemon showed an image of a plane crashing into the World Trade Center in nearly the exact location that the first plane hit in 2001
  • In 1995 Steve Jackson’s Illuminati: New World Order game was released. Included in the playing cards was one for ‘Terrorist Nuke’ which had pictures which almost perfectly depicted the attack of 9/11.
  • The 1998 movie Armageddon shows the World Trade Center on fire in a scene that looks almost identical to how the buildings looked in real life after being attacked
  • The original album cover for the music group ‘The Coup’s’ 2001 album ‘Party Music’ depicted members of the group standing in front of the twin towers while they are being destroyed by huge explosives. The album’s planned release date was just after the September 11 attacks, but the cover art was quickly changed.
  • For years the US military had run drills years of planes being used as weapons against the World Trade Center. In fact, on September 11th 2001, the government happened to be running a simulation of a plane crashing into a building. Read more about this here and here.
  • In March 2001, the pilot episode of ‘The Lone Gunman’ dealt with the hijacking of a commercial airliner and the aborted attempt to crash the airliner into the World Trade Center.

Prior to the  London bombings on 7 July 2005, BBC Panorama ran a program which featured a mock exercise in which terrorists bombed three underground trains and one road vehicle. In the fictional program, these events take place over a short space of time during the morning rush hour, leading to a public announcement that “the attacks bear the hallmarks of Al-Qaeda.’ The Program ran on 16 May 2004, nearly a year before 7/7 bombings which also involved bombs on three underground trains and one road vehicle during a short space of time during the morning rush hour, followed by Jack Straw announcing, “The attacks bear the hallmarks of al-Qaeda.” (Information about the Panorama program can be obtained from the BBC website, while a transcript of it is available here.)

Moreover, leading up to the 7/7 bombings there were four other simulations or fictional scenarios which anticipated the event with a surprising degree of accuracy. These have been documented here and here.

On July 20th, Colorado university conducted an Advanced Disaster Life Support Training exercise based around an imagined gunman firing at people in a movie theater. A few hours later that day, the imagined event occurred in real life as James Holmes entered a Colorado movie theatre and began firing on viewers. What was spooky was the detail in which the simulated event mirrored the real one. (For more information, see ‘Eerie Coincidence: Colorado University Had Identical Drill On Same Day As ‘Batman’ Massacre.’)

FACT #2: the idea that a major catastrophe will happen during the London Olympics has been occurring in media and other places, even as premonitions or intimations of the disasters mentioned above have occurred prior to the event.

In his article, ‘Will There Be A Terrorist Attack at the 2012 London Olympics? Christopher Woodward noted that “In recent years there have been many signs within the media signalling a planned terrorist attack at the 2012 London Olympics.”

The main example of this is that in August 2008 the BBC broadcasted a series of programs called Spooks: Code 9. The program envisaged a nuclear attack on the Olympic Stadium during the London 2012 Olympics. Woodward adds to this the following examples, some of which are no longer applicable now that the opening ceremony has come and gone without incident:

The movie 2012 contains a scene in which a character is looking for a map inside a plane when trying to escape an exploding volcano. The first map he picks up and then fully opens is a map of the London underground, which can be clearly seen to viewers. Is this a sign of a future threat in London in 2012?

The late August 2011 edition of the British political satire magazine Private Eye had a cover title with the words ‘Olympic Rehearsal’, accompanied by an image of the recent London riots containing a speech balloon with the words ‘This is the worst opening ceremony ever.’

Another card used in the Illuminati game has a picture of Big Ben being blown up and five men, each of them wearing different colours, red, blue, yellow, green and black – the same colours of the five Olympic rings. In the same way as the cards depicting the 9/11 attacks, could this card be a sign of a planned terrorist attack at the London Olympics?

In July 2005, soon after London had won the bid to host the Olympics, it was reported that the Olympic Park site where the Games were planned to take place is the site of a former nuclear reactor.

In 2010, the Rockefeller Foundation released a report entitled Scenarios for the Future of Technology and International Development. In one of the potential future scenarios considered, the report stated that, “the years 2010 to 2020 were dubbed the “doom decade” for good reason; the 2012 Olympic bombing, which killed 13,000.”

Given that the number 13 is considered to be a key number used by the illuminati to reveal a secret coded message, and the significance of the Rockefeller Foundation in working to bring about a new world order behind the scenes, alongside other tax-exempt foundations, is this report yet another sign of a planned terrorist attack at the London Olympics?

To the above should be added the fact that the London Olympics produced an eerie advertisement in which an athlete squashes Big Ben before pulling the world together. (While the videoOlympic Adverts predicting an attack on London?’ has some bizarre conspiracy theories about Zionists, it is useful in showing the original advert.)

FACT #3: The 2012 London Olympics, and the stories about an Olympic holocaust, have been saturated in Illuminati and Freemasonry symbolism.

The video ‘London 2012 Olympics – 100,000 to Die? demonstrates the proliferation of Illuminati symbolism in the Olympics, in everything from the one-eyed mascots to the design of the stadium lighting.

Furthermore, Spooks: Code 9, which seemingly predicts a large scale disaster during the games, is replete with similar symbolism. Quoting again from Christopher Woodward’s article:

There are a number of scenes in [Spooks: Code 9] in which the background contains the all-seeing eye symbol, as displayed on dollar notes, and commonly placed in the background on the logos of many corporations. It is thought to signal a coded message from the Iluminati. The all-seeing eye is similarly displayed on the homepage of Kudos, the production company behind Spooks: Code 9, and also depicted on Wenlock and Mandeville, the London 2012 official mascots.

In the first episode, a character asks to have exactly 330 minutes to find a killer. What may appear to be an unusual and illogical amount of time to request, may actually be a deliberately coded message. The number 330 may be a reference to 33, which points to the 33 degrees of Freemasonry. This could be a sign that the Freemasons are behind the programme and are conveying a secret coded message. The decision to include the phrase Code 9 in the title could be a signal towards a coded message in the programme, conveying that the events that take place in the series are planned to happen in the real world.

FACT #4: The global elites use large-scale crises to legitimize totalitarian measures and to push us closer to a one-world government.

The global elites know that the public is usually willing to surrender substantial liberties if they feel their security is at stake. Often a high-profile emergency will legitimise legislation that was already waiting in the wings, ready to be put forward after a disaster has ‘primed’ the public to believe it is necessary.

This basic principle is nothing new. Classical Greece and Rome had a tradition of appointing a dictator during times of crisis. After the crisis finished, the dictator stepped down and government returned to normal, usually to some form republic or oligarchy. Following this tradition, modern leaders frequently appeal to times of real or alleged ‘crisis’ to persuade the populace to entrust them abnormal powers. The other difference is that the totalitarian provisions introduced by modern leaders do not go away after the crisis is over but remain operative.

We see this time and again. Consider only a few examples.

  • On 13th March 1996, one Thomas Hamilton murdered 16 children and one adult at Dunblane in Scotland.  The official report expressed concerns over Hamilton’s mental state and known sexual pre-occupation with young boys, and police errors over the renewal of his gun license. Four months later on 27th February 1997 the Firearms (Amendment) Act was enacted, banning all hand-guns. (For further reading about this, see Blair’s Protection of Elite Paedophile Rings Spells the End For His Career’ and ‘Police ‘lost’ key files on Dunblane killer.’)
  • When the Twin Towers were bombed on 9/11, conservatives as well as liberals in America were ready to embrace the ‘War on Terror.’ Now, eleven years later, this ‘war’ is being used to justify the introduction of wartime conditions into America. Because this conflict is against an undefined and ubiquitous foe, the conditions for surrender can never be met.
  • After the 7/7 bombings, the Government increased the amount of time people could be held for questioning.  Moreover, as action group Liberty warned on their website a year after the events, these bombings created an atmosphere favourable to “counter-productive legislation which restricts fundamental rights and freedoms in the name of fighting terrorism.”
  • After the tragic murder of ‘Baby P in 2009, the social services in the UK began interfering in family life to an unprecedented extent, with full support from the Government.
  • When the riots broke out in London last year, almost immediately government was ready with legislation to increase police powers and restrict internet freedom. (See ‘UK Riots: the Totalitarian Aftermath.’)
  • John Laughland has showed in his book The Tainted Source: Undemocratic Origins of the European Idea how the earliest defenders of the European Union appealed to the disaster of fascism to justify the abolition of national sovereignty.
  • George Soros and Co. have appealed to the disaster of the Rwandan genocide in order to justify a new theory of national sovereignty which creates the template for a one world government.

The pattern holds again and again: high-scale disaster followed by either tighter governmental control, or a type of centralization which seeks to undermine the division between nations. David Rockefeller put his finger on it in 1994 when he declared, “All we need is the right major crisis and the nations will accept the new World Order.”

CONCLUSION

The above facts are leading many to fear that a high-scale disaster is being planned to occur sometime during the London Olympics. However, the concern is based largely on Fact #1, which might be attributable to simple coincidence. It could be that millions of weird coincidences occur every day but we only hear about the dramatic ones or the ones that people have had an incentive to discover through hours of careful research. For this reason, Christian Voice remains sceptical. Moreover, we certainly do not believe that ‘the Jews’ are behind it all, as some of the conspiracy theorists cited above have alleged.

No doubt many terrorist groups would like to cause trouble at the Olympics, and no doubt our government would love to curtail our liberties even more, but we remain sceptical that those in power in London would allow an atrocity to proceed which would damage the international standing of their capital city, let alone a nuclear explosion which would close it down completely.

All the same, we have wanted to present these objective facts to our members so that they can make up their own minds and share this post with friends.

We certainly urge prayer that the Lord will bring any plots to light and thwart all and any attempts to cause loss of life or liberty at the games.

One last thing is certain, whether or not the conspiracy theorists are right, the Olympic enterprise is under judgment from God because of the paganism at its root and the sexual licentiousness with which it has come to be associated. (See ‘Olympic Village Sex Fest for a shocking report on what has been going on during these Olympics.)

‘World’s first’ multi-faith centre – in Cornwall

What is claimed to be the world’s first multi-faith facility is being planned, rather appropriately, on land owned by Cornwall Council in the grounds of Penmount Crematorium in Truro, Cornwall’s county town and home to Truro Cathedral.

The Dor Kemmyn Interfaith Centre, according to the Western Morning News, ‘is hoped to serve (sic) the needs of all faith groups, including Buddhists, Hindus, Pagans, Jews, Muslims, Bahais and Christians’.  Christians are always last on lists like that.

All that is needed now for the construction of the elliptical facility is a cool £750,000.  In the meantime, there will be ‘a contemporary circle of timber posts that maps out the geometry of the building’, which Cornwall Faith Forum, the charity behind the project (Charty number 1147514), are calling ‘Woodhenge’.

Despite such a nod towards paganism, real pagans appear unimpressed by Dor Kemmyn and the Cornwall Faith Forum, with one describing the latter as ‘just playing to the PC brigade.’

Matt Robinson, of Matt Robinson Architecture, is the building designer and a spokesman for the charity.  He says ‘the build schedule (depends) on fundraising’.

He continued: “We are trying to do it for people who are curious about faith.

“They may want to find out about Islam or Buddhism so this will act as a library or a resource centre, which can also be used for funerals and weddings.”

So if you want some faith, you can pop along to the Dor Kemmyn centre and choose from those on display.

But all is not quite as Mr Robinson would make it appear.  ‘Dor Kemmyn’ is Cornish for ‘Common Ground’, so this is a syncretisitc project in which all religions are basically the same, agreeing in essentials and disagreeing merely in peripheral matters.  As they say:

The centre will take an inclusive rather than an exclusive approach and will be for the use of all those who can sign up to an agreed, shared set of common values rather than through any attempt to define or list individual “faiths or belief systems”.

The Dor Kemmyn website carries many quotes, and has a page on what it calls Cornwall’s ‘Spiritual Heritage’ on which we find that Cornwall’s ancient Buddhist heritage dates back as far as the 1970s and that there are no Hindu temples in Cornwall.

Nowhere on the Dor Kemmyn website do we find anything pressing the crown rights or the saving grace of Jesus Christ.  And that is surprising, given that the contact for its parent charity, the Cornwall Faith Forum, according to the Charity Commission, is Rev Andrew Yates, of the Truro Diocese Board of Finance, and one of the trustees is the current Bishop of Truro, Rt Rev Tim Thornton, who is standing up for marriage.  Dor Kemmyn itself is contacted via Diocesan House, Kenwyn, Truro, Cornwall, TR1 1JQ where the contact is Rita Stephen, the Interfaith Development Worker, whose email is given as: info@dorkemmyn.org.uk

Here is a quote, currently on the Dor Kemmyn ‘events’ page, from one Dhirasanta Das, a Hindu: ‘Interfaith centres can provide a space suitable for multi-religious education and its practices. This will help check the imbalance of values in life, achieve real unity within the community and peace throughout the world.’

No it won’t.  The Bible says that peace is only found in the Lord Jesus, who said (John 14:27) ‘Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid’.  The same Lord Jesus told us that there will be ‘wars and rumours of wars’.

The Dor Kemmyn website says: ‘Recent events in Cornwall including vandalism, graffiti etc have also indicated that a centre such as this is needed to help support the community in addressing potential conflict through dialogue rather than through violence’.  ‘To help support the community’?  What does that mean?

It might be argued that those committing acts of vandalism need to be brought before the courts, that the need for the Dor Kemmyn centre, and the interim ‘Woodhenge’, is just as alive as those going into the incinerators of the neighbouring Penmount Crematorium.

How to protect your email address

This is very important, so please read it carefully.  Increasingly we receive emails showing that people we know have been hacked.  Leaving aside anti-virus like AVG and programmes such as MALWAREBYTES, you must use common sense and take basic precautions!

The hackers work in two main ways:

1 Email links.  They try to get you to click on a bogus web-link in an email apparently from someone you know whom they have already hacked.  SO: NEVER EVER click on links in a short email about a ‘private message’ or ‘photographs’ or ‘make serious money’ or just a link on its own.  NEVER EVER click on a link which appears to be from your email provider saying it is an update or claiming you will lose your emails if you don’t respond. or from your bank.  Such emails are known as ‘phishing’.  They wait for some unsuspecting person to take a bait.   Also, it goes without saying:  NEVER OPEN an attachment you were not expecting.

These links and attachments will all lead to ‘trojan’ websites which leave viruses or search for personal information on your computer.  They then hack into your email client programme and repeat the process to all your contacts in the twinkling of an eye.

2 Phone calls out of the blue in which a plausible young man or woman asks you to verify your email address and password (or your bank account, or whatever).  NEVER EVER give these people any information at all.  If you are ringing your internet provider it is a different matter of course.

If you receive a pleading email saying that a friend has been mugged in Spain or London (these are the most popular) or indeed anywhere else in the world and asking for money, they have been hacked in one of the ways above.  Don’t reply, but ring your friend immediately to let them know what has happened.  The hackers will have sent the mail to everyone on your friend’s address book and then they will have deleted the address book contents for good measure.  That is why you should not rely on web-based address books and should always back up addresses on your computer.  (If you do not know how to do that, email us)

We hope this helps you protect your email address and personal details.  Please circulate this webpage widely, but not as an anonymous link!  Tell your friends what it is about and authenticate it with a personal message.

Finally, to anyone who uses their work computer, particularly in the public sector, for Kingdom business, it will be wise especially in these days to let your Christian contacts know your personal email instead.  Also, obviously, you should not be doing Kingdom work in the firm’s time.

Syria – Thank God for the Russians

A Syrian rebel brandishes a looted cross in stolen vestments – attribution to www.prisonplanet.com

Only Russian and Chinese resistance to Western stupidity is standing between Israel, Syria’s Alawite minority, the Christians in Syria – and a bloodbath.

The Christian church will go the same way as our brothers in Iraq where the American and British invasion and toppling of Saddam, despotic as he was, has led directly to systematic persecution of the Christian church.  In every country affected by the ‘Arab Spring’ the writing is on the wall for Christians.  Similarly in Syria, if the Islamic fundamentalist rebels gain power, they will be gradually exterminated.

Stop Press: The BBC News at Ten reported on the growing persecution on the Syrian church on 31st July, just four days after this post was filed.  Hard to take what the Muslim Brotherhood man says at the end, mind!

The same fate will befall the Alawites, of whom President Assad is the most prominent figure, if his secular regime falls.

And if Syria’s stock of chemical and biological weapons falls into the hands of the Islamic rebels, there could be carnage both in Syria and in Israel.  Sales of gas masks are already booming in the latter.  While it is true that Syria has funded and supplied Hezbollah with weapons used against Israel, a fundamentalist regime running Syria with control of President Assad’s arsenal – which he has never used – is a dangerous prospect indeed.

Britain is ‘fanning the flames of violence’

Russia has said that Western and Saudi calls for Syrian President Bashar al-Assad to step down are blocking efforts to end 16 months of unrest in the country, reports Israel Nation News.

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov warned that such calls — made by the United States, Britain, several European and Arab governments and Turkey — were fanning the flames of violence.  Support for Syrian rebel groups was tantamount to backing terrorism, he said.

“We propose things that would allow for an immediate ceasefire, but the other side says, ‘No, either the regime capitulates or we will continue to back … the opposition’s armed fight’, justifying terrorist acts,” Lavrov said.

The Russians and Chinese are both standing against the doctrine of ‘Responsibility to Protect’, developed and funded by George Soros, by which nations who regard themselves as global policemen can enforce regime change on countries which are not democratic enough.  Christian Voice reported last August on WorldNetDaily’s exposure of the Global Centre for Responsibility to Protect in connection with Libya.

(SInce then it has emerged that Soros persuaded President Obama to send troops to Uganda, ostensibly to arrest the leader of the so-called Lord’s Resistance Army, but really to safeguard the oil interests of one George Soros.)

Israel will strike if rebels raid weapons

Israel’s foreign minister warned on Wednesday his country will act immediately if it discovers Islamic militants are raiding Syria’s chemical or biological weapons stocks, Associated Press has reported.

Israeli political and security leaders have been watching the intensified bloodletting in neighbouring Syria with mounting concern, afraid that Lebanon’s Hezbollah and other militant groups could raid these arsenals should the central government in Damascus collapse. In recent days, Israeli political leaders have said they would be prepared to strike weapons depots to prevent this from happening.

Destroy all churches

On 12th March this year, Sheik Abdul Aziz bin Abdullah, the grand mufti of Saudi Arabia, declared that it is “necessary to destroy all the churches of the region.” The mufti based his decision on a story that on his deathbed, Muhammad declared, “There are not to be two religions in the [Arabian] Peninsula.”

Churches have always been banned in Saudi Arabia, but in the Iraq of Saddam Hussein, in Syria, and in other Muslim lands before they came under the sway of the George Soros-funded Muslim Brotherhood, Christians were allowed to practise their faith and formed a thriving minority community.

As the Washington Times reported at the time: ‘This is not a small-time radical imam trying to stir up his followers with fiery hate speech. This was a considered, deliberate and specific ruling from one of the most important leaders in the Muslim world. It does not just create a religious obligation for those over whom the mufti has direct authority; it is also a signal to others in the Muslim world that destroying churches is not only permitted but mandatory.’

Saudi Arabia is supporting the Syrian rebels with money and weaponry.

Naive and simplistic

The approach of the British Government is both naive and simplistic.  In following the slavish devotion to democracy at all costs promoted and financed by the Open Society movement of George Soros, they are encouraging the Muslim Sunni majority in Syria to destroy all others.

It is not, as Mr Hague seems to think; ‘Assad bad, rebels good’.  Nor can the rebel reports given pride of place on the BBC be trusted as the gospel truth.  There is spin and worse on all sides of this conflict.

In a letter to a constituent dated 24th July, Mr Hague said: ‘You have raised concerns regarding the persecution of Christians in Syria.  Since the Syria uprising more than a year ago, the Assad regime has demonstrated time and again that it is unwilling to protect the rights, freedoms and interests of all its fellow citizens.’

Mr Hague’s statement is duplicitous.  Mr Assad is not persecuting Christians and never has.  It is the rebels who are doing that already and who will do it all the more if they gain power.   In addition, President Assad is part of a minority group himself.  He is an Alawite Shia Muslim, despised by the 74% of Syria’s population who follow the Islamic Sunni religion.

Mr Hague goes on: ‘In our regular dialogue, we are encouraging Syrian opposition groups to reach out and engage with minority communities, including Christians, and to maintain a clear commitment to a peaceful and non-sectarian approach.’

So Mr Hague admits he is in touch with the rebels.  Worryingly, he expects them to behave as if they were taking part in a vicarage tea party.  He speaks as if he really thinks the world is like a civilised home counties drawing room.  He may really believe that or he may be pretending to.  Either way, by backing the rebels, our Government like that of America and most of Europe is preparing the way for a middle-east bloodbath.

Thank God for the Russians and the Chinese.

Ask your MPEmail address HERE – to ask the Foreign Secretary what contacts Her Majesty’s Government is having with Syrian rebels and what political, financial and weaponry assistance it has given them.  You could ask your MP to ask the Foreign Secretary to support President Assad instead.  Ask your MP also to ask the Foreign Secretary to comment on the reports of Syrian rebel persecution of Christians and Alawites (he won’t say anything positive, and will not say what assistance he is giving, but he will know you are there and concerned.)

Nationwide in ‘Bigot’ award challenge

Christian Voice Press Release – 10.40 hrs 14th July 2012

The Nationwide Building Society is to be challenged over its association with the Stonewall ‘Bigot of the Year’ award at its AGM this coming Thursday.

Stephen Green, who was shortlisted for the award last November along with Sir Brian Souter, Bishop Arthur Roche, Bill Walker MSP and the eventual ‘winner’ journalist Melanie Phillips, plans to put down a question at the AGM, to be held in Manchester at 11am at the Bridgewater Hall in Lower Mosley Street, Manchester, M2 3WS.  Doors open at 10am and any Nationwide member with at least £100 in savings or owed on a mortgage can attend.

Mr Green, who is National Director of Christian Voice, the group best known for its successful campaign against Jerry Springer the Opera, is a Nationwide member.  He said today:

Nationwide sponsored the 2011 Stonewall awards dinner, which did not stop the greedy lobby group charging £180 a ticket (£150 plus VAT).  I intend to ask how much money Nationwide gave, whether they knew the nature of the event they were sponsoring, whether they support the redefinition of marriage, one of Stonewall’s key aims, and when they plan to apologise for bank-rolling an event which insulted and humiliated not just a humble Nationwide member like me, but respected public figures.

‘In particular, Sir Brian was awarded a knighthood by Her Majesty in June 2011, just months before he was vilified by Stonewall.

‘Nationwide have said they are “not supportive of the vilification of individuals” and that they “have made this clear to Stonewall”.  They have pulled out of sponsoring future events, while remaining ‘members’ of Stonewall.  No-one on the Nationwide Board of Directors has yet been man enough to apologise to any of the individuals concerned, and I think they should.

‘Of course, not one of those shortlisted was invited by Stonewall to attend, which was a grave discourtesy.  But as “Bigot of the Year” is merely an attempt by Stonewall to bully and humiliate someone in public life, Stonewall won’t ever find the courage to invite those shortlisted for fear that the winner might tell the assembled gays a few home truths.

‘It seems homosexuality can only advance by insulting and browbeating its opponents.  But I hope the Nationwide experience will send a message through the world of business that the Stonewall awards dinner is a toxic brand.’

The Church of England’s Foreign Secretary

Dr Charles Reed

Archbishops’ Council Europe Policy explained:

A single Church of England official was behind a pro-EU submission by the Archbishops’ Council to the House of Commons Foreign Affairs Select Committee, Christian Voice has discovered.

Dr Charles Reed, described as the Church of England’s Foreign Policy Advisor, has sent out an email distancing the Archbishops from the comments in the submission.  They did not make the remarks personally, he said.  The submission, says Dr Reed, was prepared by the ‘Europe Bishops’ Panel’.  It was then submitted by the ‘Mission and Public Affairs Council’, which is a sub committee of the Archbishops’ Council, direct to the Select Committee.  In a subsequent email, Dr Reed clarified that neither Archbishop approved the submission, and he is ‘not aware that either (of the) Archbishops saw the submission’ before it went out in their name.

On his blog, modestly entitled ‘ethical comment’, Dr Reed is rather more bullish about the submission.  He says he was encouraged by the opposition it drew in the pages of Eurosceptic publications.  He writes:

‘You can always gauge how sensible ones (sic) comments are on Europe by the furore they create in certain quarters. The more sensible the comments, the more severe the tongue lashing.’

The first of Dr Reed’s sensible comments was the submission’s second paragraph in which he cast the UK as unequivocally ‘without credibility’ and ‘unreliable’ for exercising a veto last December 2011:

‘At the December 2011 European Council, the United Kingdom found itself not only without allies, but without credibility as a negotiating partner as it opposed measures which were intended to achieve broad policy goals which are fully in line with UK national interest. This exposed the domestic constraints on the British government and left its partners with the impression that it was an unreliable partner. An opportunity to show solidarity with partners was missed. The UK must work to rebuild trust with its EU partners.’

The origin of the ‘Europe Bishops’ Panel’ is a debate in the General Synod in July 2004 which endorsed a report by the Mission and Public Affairs Council and the ‘Council for Christian Unity’ entitled ‘The Church of England and Europe’.

The report set out ‘aims for work at all levels of the Church in the Europe of the new century’ among which were:

‘to work locally, nationally and internationally with other churches to ensure the most effective presentation of the Gospel, to join in debate and action for the future of Europe, the harmony and values of its people, and the building of peace and social justice in this continent and beyond’;

There was ‘particular emphasis upon sustainable development and tackling world poverty.’

The two leading lights of the Europe Bishops’ Panel emerged as the Rt Revd Christopher Herbert, Bishop of St Albans,  and the Bishop of Guildford, the Rt Revd Christopher Hill. The latter was also the Chair of the Council for Christian Unity, the CofE’s ecumenical body, at the time of writing. The Panel appointed a secretary to give voice to their views.  That secretary was Dr Charles Reed.  This is what Dr Reed says about European policy on his blog:

‘For the Church the primary purpose of politics – even European politics – is the promotion of human flourishing and the conditions that are necessary to make this happen. On the whole the Church has over the years held that while it has reservations over certain characteristics of European integration – its democratic deficit etc – our propensity as humans created in the image of God to be creative, productive and responsible and generous beings is enhanced by pooling certain elements of national sovereignty in a common European project.’

So far so pan-European.  According to its terms of reference, ‘The Panel is committed both to promoting and shaping an open and transparent Europe close to its citizens and to monitoring the EU institutions in so far as they affect Church life and practice.’

This mandate is interpreted freely.  In 2008 the Europe Bishops’ Panel complained to the European Commission that ‘the EU Budget fails to provide sufficiently for the European common good.’  It went on: ‘Faced by the global challenge of climate change, the EU budget should be refocused in support of low carbon growth both within the EU’s border and beyond.’

Also in 2008, the Europe Bishops’ Panel appointed the first Church of England Representative to the European Union, the Revd Dr Gary Wilton.  The Panel, at the hand of its secretary, Dr Reed, also sent a submission to a European Union Committee on climate change.  Like the submission to the Commons Select Committee, it was sent under the name of the Archbishops’ Council.

Describing the EU Emissions Trading Scheme as ‘the jewel in the crown of the EU’s climate change programme’ the submission argued for more carbon trading and the ‘innovation necessary to achieve a low carbon and sustainable economy’ before going on to discuss which industries and sectors of the economy should be in the scheme and which should not, all from very practical points of view.  Climate sceptics will not be impressed.

The submission is on the website of the Climate Justice Fund, a joint Tear Fund and Church of England enterprise set up in September 2009 following a General Synod resolution passed in 2008. The Fund is setting up projects to help African communities adapt to drought, and campaigning on climate change.  The man in charge of it is Dr Charles Reed, now described on its website as the ‘International Development Secretary for the Archbishops’ Council’.

There may not be any reliance placed on scripture in reports from the Europe Bishops’ Panel, but they refer ‘to the integrity of God’s creation, the vocation of humanity to actively steward and care for creation, and the awareness that climate change is already impacting disproportionately on many of the world’s poorest communities.’

In 2010, this time in the name of the Archbishops’ Council, the House of Bishops’ Europe Panel (which appears to be the same thing as the Europe Bishops’ Panel) sent a submission to the European Commission on ‘EU 2020: a new strategy to make the EU a smarter, greener social market.’  They complained that the EU strategy was too materialistic.  ‘The EU 2020 vision would be made easier if the vision for an economically efficient and innovative market economy is (sic) supplemented more clearly by policies for solidarity that extend across national borders to assist the most disadvantaged’, it said.

Dr Charles Reed describes himself as the Church of England’s Foreign Policy Advisor and as the International Development Secretary for the Archbishops’ Council.  He is referred to in the Church of England’s Seven-Year Plan on Climate Change and the Environment as the Church’s International Policy Advisor, and elsewhere as being from the Church’s Mission and Public Affairs Council, which is a division of the Archbishops’ Council.

Dr Reed is a House of Lords staff member for the Bishop of Wakefield, where he becomes the Archbishops’ Council’s Parliamentary Adviser on Foreign Affairs.  He is the Secretary of the Europe Bishops’ Panel, he writes their submissions, and via them, he establishes the position of the Archbishops’ Council, which the Archbishops themselves do not approve, and may not even see.  Dr Reed also represents the Church of England on the Church and Society Commission of the Conference of European Churches.

Dr Charles Reed is in all but name the Church of England’s Foreign Secretary, but hardly anyone knows of him.  He keeps in the background and lets others take the glory – or the blame – for what he writes.  There will be different opinions on the various positions he brings the church to adopt, but no-one can doubt that Dr Reed wields considerable power and influence in our national church.

Kings of the Earth meet this weekend

Rt Hon Kenneth Clarke MP

News breaks that some favoured politicians and bankers from the United Kingdom are shunning our gracious Queen’s diamond jubilee celebrations this weekend to cosy up to the movers and shakers of the world’s elite.

The ‘Bilderberg’ group is meeting in Chantilly, Virginia, USA from 31st May to 3rd June under the chairmanship of Henri de Castries, Chairman and CEO of AXA, to plan and plot world events.  Whatever these people decide, and their plans do not always work out, it is likely to be designed to benefit them first and the rest of us a long way behind.

On the invitation list from the UK are:

* Bankers Marcus Agius, Chairman of Barclays and Douglas J. Flint, Group Chairman of HSBC Holdings.

* Oilmen Robert Dudley, Group Chief Executive of BP and Peter Voser, the CEO of Royal Dutch Shell

* Journalists John Micklethwait, the Editor-in-Chief of The Economist, Gideon Rachman, Chief Foreign Affairs Commentator of The Financial Times and the FT’s Chief Economics Commentator, Martin H. Wolf.  Vendeline von Bredow, the Business Correspondent of The Economist and the same publication’s Foreign Correspondent, Adrian D. Wooldridge are denoted ‘Rapporteurs’ for the meeting, but despite that designation, and the presence of such well-connected journo’s, don’t expect to see anything about the meeting in the papers.  It’s top secret, you see, with armed guards and a publicity ban.

The UK’s gay mafia is well represented with Peter, Lord Mandelson, who is now Chairman of ‘Global Counsel’, whatever that is, and Nick Boles, MP, a member of David Cameron’s kitchen cabinet and a good friend of modernisers Boris Johnson and Francis Maude.  Kenneth Clarke, MP is a long-standing Bilderberg member and part of its inner circle, as are Agius and the remaining UK delegate, retired diplomat John Lord Kerr of Kinlochard.

Only recently, the Bilderberg Group has started a website and now publishes a press release.  You can see it at http://www.bilderbergmeetings.org/meeting_2012.html and you can click on the other buttons on the site to see the full list of those attending together with the ‘Governance’ of the group.

Apparently, ‘the privacy of the meetings, … has no purpose other than to allow  participants to speak their minds openly and freely’.  ‘Bilderberg is a small, flexible, informal and off-the-record international forum in which different viewpoints can be expressed and mutual understanding enhanced’.  ‘Bilderberg’s only activity is its annual Conference. At the meetings, no resolutions are proposed, no votes taken, and no policy statements issued’.

So that’s alright then.  Pray that all plans for globalism and world domination are thwarted.  Pray this Psalm:

Psalm 2:1  Why do the heathen rage, and the people imagine a vain thing?
2  The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the LORD, and against his anointed, saying,
3  Let us break their bands asunder, and cast away their cords from us.
4  He that sitteth in the heavens shall laugh: the Lord shall have them in derision.
5  Then shall he speak unto them in his wrath, and vex them in his sore displeasure.
6  Yet have I set my king upon my holy hill of Zion.
7  I will declare the decree: the LORD hath said unto me, Thou art my Son; this day have I begotten thee.
8  Ask of me, and I shall give thee the heathen for thine inheritance, and the uttermost parts of the earth for thy possession.
9  Thou shalt break them with a rod of iron; thou shalt dash them in pieces like a potter’s vessel.
10  Be wise now therefore, O ye kings: be instructed, ye judges of the earth.
11  Serve the LORD with fear, and rejoice with trembling.
12  Kiss the Son, lest he be angry, and ye perish from the way, when his wrath is kindled but a little. Blessed are all they that put their trust in him.

David Cameron does God – up to a point

David Cameron has quoted from the Gospel of Luke and spoken of ‘we’ Christians at a pre-Easter reception at Downing Street.

Tony Blair and Alastair Campbell famously didn’t ‘Do God’, but Mr Cameron is making rather a habit of it.  As Easter Sunday approaches, Mr Cameron has decided to “do God” in public, as Alastair Campbell might say.

In December last year, the Prime Minster called for a return to Christian values during a service held in Westminster Abbey to commemorate the 400th anniversary of the King James Bible.

He said there were three reasons why the King James Bible was as relevant today as any point in its history.

“First, the King James Bible has bequeathed a body of language that permeates every aspect of our culture and heritage. Second, just as our language and culture is steeped in the Bible, so too is our politics.

“Third, we are a Christian country. And we should not be afraid to say so. Let me be clear: I am not in any way saying that to have another faith – or no faith – is somehow wrong.”

Now Mr Cameron has held a reception in Downing Street and quoted from the Gospel of Luke as he spoke of “we”  Christians.

“This is the time when, as Christians, we remember the life, sacrifice and living legacy of Christ. The New Testament tells us so much about the character of Jesus; a man of incomparable compassion, generosity, grace, humility and love. These are the values that Jesus embraced, and I believe these are values people of any faith, or no faith, can also share in, and admire.

“It is values like these that make our country what it is – a place which is tolerant, generous and caring. A nation which has an established faith, that together is most content when we are defined by what we are for, rather than defined by what we are against. In the book of Luke, we are told that Jesus said, ‘Do to others as you would have them do to you’ – advice that when followed makes for a happier, and better society for everyone.”

He told the assembled guests that he welcomed a Christian “fightback”. He said: “I think there’s something of a fightback going on, and we should welcome that. The values of the Bible, the values of Christianity, are the values that we need.”

Interestingly, this is what Jesus said about marriage, which Mr Cameron wants to change into a ‘gay’ version:

Mar 10:6  “But from the beginning of the creation God made them male and female. 7 For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and cleave to his wife; 8 And they twain shall be one flesh: so then they are no more twain, but one flesh. 9 What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder.”

Stephen Green, National Director of Christian Voice, said:

“The last verse, Mark 10:9, is normally taken to refer to individual marriages, which people in Britain today set aside as a routine.  I’ve been on the receiving end of divorce on demand.  Some fifty percent of marriages are now being put asunder because one party simply decides to walk out.

“But David Cameron wants to put asunder the whole institution of marriage as ordained in the beginning by God Almighty.  In 2007 he voted for the Sexual Orientation Goods and Services Regulations which have been used against Christian hoteliers operating the values of the Bible, yet now he urges a ‘fightback’ against secularism.

“David Cameron voted to abolish the blasphemy laws in May 2008, which provided a foundation for a culture of respect for both God and man.  In the same month he voted to allow animal/human hybrid embryos.  A day later he voted to allow abortion – or the murder of children in the womb – at 16 weeks gestation, a time when every organ and every brain function is in place and operating.  It was good that he quoted Christ’s ‘golden rule’ from Luke 6:13 (and Matthew 7:12) but he would not allow to be done to him what he allows to be done to children in the womb.

“It is a good beginning to call for Christian values and to urge a Christian fight-back, but Mr Cameron’s thinking needs to be joined up.  He needs to be transformed by the renewing of his mind.  How can he in all seriousness urge a ‘fight-back’ against the marginalisation of Christianity and against attempts to ban the wearing of crosses and crucifixes when the Home Office is fighting in the European Court to uphold exactly such a ban?

“David Cameron is right that the values of Christianity are the values that we need’ but he needs our prayers to realise that he cannot pick and choose from the Bible or from the teachings of the Lord.  Yes, respect for property helps stop youth looting from shops.  Yes, doing unto others as you would have them do unto you helps maintain order in society.

“But keeping a few of Christ’s commandments while breaking a raft of others is to break them all, as the Apostle James points out.

“A little like some of the church today, Mr Cameron overdoes the love and compassion of Christ, but shies away from his laws and judgments.  But even then he is selective.  He likes being compassionate to homosexuals to the extent of overturning God’s holy institution of marriage, but he doesn’t want a lot of compassion to be shown to last summer’s rioters, or for that matter to the disabled people being made redundant by Remploy.

“Napoleon liked religion when it maintained peace and order, and not when it challenged his assumed right to autocratic rule.  Such a convenient approach seems to be catching to leaders.

“I repeat, David Cameron needs our prayers; and a few letters might not go amiss either.”

EU Seeks to Indoctrinate School Children

Judith Schilling manned a resource stall for the European Commission at the Education Show in Birmingham.

Last week we reported on the way homosexual activists are actively trying to recruit school children, with some openly admitting it.

The ‘gay’ lobby is not the only group that has fixated on school children. A report in the Express last week showed how the Brussels’ propaganda machine is introducing resources designed to teach children about the benefits of the EU.

A film was taken at an Education Show in Birmingham in which Judith Schilling was interviewed about her display of resources from the European Commission.

In the film Mrs. Schilling commented, “…everybody has now picked up the idea that we will never succeed in convincing people about the value of being a member of the European Union if we do not start early enough with the young people, before they form prejudices and are misinformed by other sources.”

The free literature for teachers included a resource titled, “The EU: What’s in it for me?” explaining “how we benefit from membership of the EU in our daily life, everything between lower roaming charges and cleaner bathing water.”

Robin Phillips, press secretary for Christian Voice, commented, “The EU is getting desperate because they know that the majority of people in Britain, as well as many of the other states, are not in favour of continuing EU membership. Thus, the EU’s only hope is to try to raise up a new generation that accept the European Union as not only normal but beneficial. To do that, however, they have to start when the children are very young.”

Who ate the Queen’s halal nosh?

The Queen held a state banquet of halal food for the President of Turkey on 22nd November at which she assured him that HM Government would help Turkey join the European Union.
(1) Where and how and by whom were the animals slaughtered and cooked and which Muslim certifying authority approved it?
(2) Since when did it become HM Gvt policy to campaign for Turkey to join the EU?  Actually, the answer to this is since at least 2007, when David Milliband visited Turkey.  But it does not hurt to ask.
(3) Did no Christian on the guest list object to eating food sacrificed to an idol?
WRITE to Her Majesty at the following address:
Her Majesty The Queen

Or telephone during working hours: (+44) (0)20 7930 4832.
Letters begin ‘May it please Your Majesty.’
They end ‘I have the honour to be Your Majesty’s obedient servant,’ followed by your name.

So who ate the Queen’s Halal nosh?  Unless he went for the vegetarian option, the Archbishop of Canterbury was among those who feasted on food sacrificed to the idol ‘Allah’ at the Queen’s table.  When the Queen or the Archbishop are guests of the President of Turkey (as HM was in 2008 on her state visit) do their hosts serve up and sit down to meat slaughtered in the British way, ie stunned and with no incantations to their god, in deference to the sensibilities of their honoured guests?  No, because the Turks take their religion seriously.

Prayer will humble proud Tesco

Boycott Tesco and email their Chief Executive. Remember: Every Little Helps!

Or to put it more accurately, God will humble proud Tesco, in answer to prayer.

As the Daily Mail has reported, retail giant Tesco have stopped sponsoring Cancer Research UK and switched their support to that annual display of aggression and depravity, London Gay Pride.  But the Bible says: When pride cometh, then cometh shame (Prov 11:2).

Tesco’s idea of family – sad body-building homosexuals obessessed by looks and the male anatomy

Mr Richard Littlejohnsaid: ‘If gays want to dress up as Carmen Miranda or mince up and down The Mall in nothing but their knickers, that’s fine by me. But why would Britain’s biggest supermarket want to be associated with such an event, at the expense of cancer victims?’

And this is on top of Tesco secretly selling halal lamb and chicken to unsuspecting shoppers.

There are five important and effective things Christians can do:

1 Pray that God will send repentance into the Tesco boardroom, and that they will reverse their grant to gay pride..

2 Boycott Tesco and encourage others to do the same.

3 Mount a witness with banners and/or give leaflets out to shoppers outside Tesco’s high street stores ‘Tesco Direct’ (they can throw you out of their car park, but you have every right to witness on the street).  Contact us for leaflets.  The text of the LEAFLET is HERE

4 Email/write to the Tesco Group Chief Executive, Philip Clark,  philip.clarke@tesco.com and their Marketing Director, Richard Brasher:  richard.brasher@tesco.com.  You can also write to their new Chairman, Sir Richard Broadbent, at New Tesco House, Delamare Rd, Cheshunt, Herts, EN8 9SL.  His email seems to be: richard.broadbent@tesco.com   (HERE is what one ex-Tesco-customer wrote.)

5 Sign our petition ‘Boycott Tesco’.  Make sure you right-click and then open it in a new tab or window to keep this page on-screen.

There are a couple of other really effective things to do as well, but we shall let Christian Voice members exclusively know about them at the proper time through our newsletter which never goes up on the web!

Aggressive and depraved - London Gay Pride

Tesco’s spin centres on ‘diversity’ as an ‘inclusive store’ – they even have an ‘Out at Tesco’ webpage promoting sodomy amongst their employees and a page commending staff for taking part in the 2010 parade – and ignores the fact that Gay Pride is a provocative and aggressive display of indecency and perversion.  For all their posturing, would Tesco actually like a gay pride march through one of their stores?  And if they are really interested in diversity, will they be sponsoring the ex-gay movement?  Don’t hold your breath.

If you can bear it, here is a video link of Soho Pride, part of the London set-up in 2008.  And it that was not enough, here is a video link showing just what the gentle, tolerant gays and their supporters think of those who disagree with them with music from someone called Lily Allen.  Thanks, Anglican Mainstream.

Tesco have denied that sponsoring gay pride was at the expense of Cancer Research, but the facts are that Tesco’s support for the annual fundraising Race for Life, the UK’s largest women-only charity event, helped Cancer Research raise more than £400million for the fight against cancer since it began in 1994.

Tesco announced it would be a headline sponsor of Pride London just days after ending their partnership with Cancer Research.  Tesco’s Head of Research and Development, a militant anti-Christian homosexual called Nick Lansley, lobbied hard for that decision.

Here at Christian Voice we have a soft spot for cancer charities ever since Maggies Centres courageously turned down tainted money from the blasphemous Jerry Springer the Opera in 2006 and were rewarded by making far more from the publicity around that decision than what they would have received from the show.  Why on earth should Tesco think that dumping a cancer charity to take up with Gay Pride is a clever (even a good commercial) decision?

The militant atheist magazine Freethinker helpfully points out that the Co-op sponsor Manchester Gay Pride (as well as throwing Christian Voice out of their bank) and that ASDA’s parent Wal-Mart give benefits to gay partners of employees in the USA.  Unless ‘Christian fundies want to starve themselves’, they chuckle, ‘they better (sic) start thinking fast of joining the grow-your-own movement’.

Well that’s a good idea in itself, but have they forgotten Sainsbury, not to mention your local shops?  In addition, as we pointed out in our video on the supermarkets and halal, if you want to be sure of avoiding halal-slaughtered fresh meat, just shop at M&S or Morrisons.

Some words from Proverbs and from Mary on the subject of pride to inform your prayer.  Remind the Lord of his word as you pray:

Prov 8:13  The fear of the LORD is to hate evil: pride, and arrogancy, and the evil way, and the froward mouth, do I hate.
Prov 11:2  When pride cometh, then cometh shame: but with the lowly is wisdom.
Prov 13:10  Only by pride cometh contention: but with the well advised is wisdom.
Prov 14:3  In the mouth of the foolish is a rod of pride: but the lips of the wise shall preserve them.
Prov 16:5  Every one that is proud in heart is an abomination to the LORD: though hand join in hand, he shall not be unpunished.
Prov 16:18  Pride goeth before destruction, and an haughty spirit before a fall.
Prov 29:23  A man’s pride shall bring him low: but honour shall uphold the humble in spirit.

Luke 1:49 For he that is mighty hath done to me great things; and holy is his name. 50 And his mercy is on them that fear him from generation to generation. 51 He hath shewed strength with his arm; he hath scattered the proud in the imagination of their hearts. 52 He hath put down the mighty from their seats, and exalted them of low degree.

James 4:6  Wherefore he saith, God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto the humble.

Eurocrats Prop up Dagon

Then the Philistines took the ark of God and brought it from Ebenezer to Ashdod. When the Philistines took the ark of God, they brought it into the house of Dagonand set it by Dagon. And when the people of Ashdod arose early in the morning, there was Dagon, fallen on its face to the earth before the ark of the LORD. So they took Dagon and set it in its place again. And when they arose early the next morning, there was Dagon, fallen on its face to the ground before the ark of the LORD. The head of Dagon and both the palms of its hands were broken off on the threshold; only Dagon’s torso was left of it. Therefore neither the priests of Dagon nor any who come into Dagon’s house tread on the threshold of Dagon in Ashdod to this day. (1 Samuel 5: 1-5)

Twenty-two years ago on this day, 9 November, I remember watching the evening news with my parents as the Berlin wall come tumbling down. Though I was only a child, the event had a marked effect on me.

You see, three years earlier, when I had been eleven, my family had traveled to West Germany. One afternoon my dad drove us to see the wall separating West and East Germany. I still remember how ominous the electric fence looked which divided the free world from the “evil empire.”

As we emerged from the car, we were met by a chill, drizzling rain. On the other side of the fence a lone guard stared gloomily at us. The rest of my family had their picture taken about thirty feet from the fence, but I was too afraid to venture near. A few minutes later I plucked up the courage and asked my dad to photograph me next to the terrible barrier, or as close to it as I dared approach.

That was three years before that evening in 1989 when I sat with my brothers and parents to watch the wall being torn down. Communism had collapsed and Eastern Europe was finally free.

The fall of the Berlin Wall twenty-two years ago reminds us that that when the state confuses itself with God, its days are numbered.

A year after these momentous changes, we went back to Germany. This time there was no fence preventing us driving into the Eastern section. We traveled to Berlin where the remnants of the wall still zigzagged through the city like a serpent. In some areas there were portions of the wall still intact. Here and there I saw people dismantling the remains of this hated emblem of totalitarianism.

There was something strangely moving in seeing the broken concrete all over the ground and thinking, “So this is all that is left of a regime that tried to turn the state into God.” I stooped down and collected some big chunks of the rubble, determined one day to show them to my own children.

The fall of the Berlin Wall on 9 November 1989 reminds us that God judges regimes that try to usurp His place as redeemer. Make no mistake, for that is exactly what the communist parties of Eastern Europe did. In preaching that government was the solution to all of society’s ills, in teaching that public policy can bring civic regeneration and utopia, the communist parties of Eastern Europe presented a parody of the true gospel and a false narrative of redemption. The fall of the Berlin wall twenty-two years ago reminds us that government cannot be God, and all attempts to deify the state are doomed to end in abject failure. The fall of the Berlin wall revealed the utter futility of what David Galland recently called the “unblinking faith in an all-caring, omnipotent ‘Godvernment’.”

While the communism of the Eastern block may have failed, idolatrous attempts to deify the state continue. Indeed, the latest attempt to invest Government with quasi-divine powers can be seen in the gross idolatry of the European Union.

With utopian zeal, the pioneers of a united Europe have defended the project by attributing a near messianic status to their institutions. One of the chief areas where this messianism plays out is in the EU’s promotion of secular sanctification. The EU is concerned, not simply with promoting law and order, but in how citizens should think, how they should speak, what medicines they may take, what wealth they may retain, what risks they are permitted to run, how much they may pay for wearing their own noses and, this week, when they may or may not fly the Union Jack. In short, the EU has been interested in managing the minutia of our personal lives, claiming for itself the kind of authority our Saviour invoked in Mt. 28:18.

The utopian fervour to use totalitarian governments as a mechanism for ushering in the new heavens and the new earth reached a climax of blasphemy in May of last year when a special liturgy was conducted at Westminster Abbey to commemorate the 60th Anniversary of the Schuman Declaration, a document that is viewed as the first step in the foundation of the present European Union. In a strange synthesis of Christianity and state worship, the flag of the European Union was presented at the Westminster altar while an extract from the Schuman Declaration was read from the Pulpit, together with scripture passages about the New Heavens and the New Earth. (To learn more about this blasphemous service, see ‘European Union Invokes New Heavens and New Earth’.)

On Monday David Cameron insisted that Britain’s "national interests" would be served by British tax payers ploughing £40billion into the euro debt crisis.

If the fall of the Berlin Wall on 9 November revealed the utter failure of the messianic state within the communist Eastern block, so the recent breakup of Europe’s financial systems points to the failure of the EU to play the part of God. Yet there is a difference. When the Berlin wall fell to the ground, the leaders of Eastern Europe knew that their game was up. By contrast, as Europe’s financial systems lay in disarray all around us, our leaders remain trapped in what David Galland has described as “a delusional and self-destructive cycle of believing that the Godvernments can solve all that ails – even though almost all that ails is caused or made worse by those very same institutions – then things can only get worse from here.”

As in the story in 1 Samuel 5, the god Dagon has fallen. Yet like the foolish Philistines, Eurocrats keep trying to prop their idol back into place with multiple unsuccessful bailout plans and economic patch-up jobs. To admit what everyone knows – that the Euro-zone is imploding on itself – would be to acknowledge the failure of the entire European project. However, this is something that our leaders are still unwilling to do. Thus, they continue to prop-up the idol of the messianic state with ‘solutions’ that can only defer, but never abate, the Euro’s eventual collapse. We see this every time Europe’s governments attempts to treat the debt crisis with more debt, not least this week when David Cameron confirmed that Britain’s stake in the bailout machine known as the International Monetary Fund would increase from the current level of £29.5billion to up to £40billion.

We can therefore expect Dagon to keep coming unglued and crashing to the ground. This point (minus the Biblical elusions) was made by David Galland in the article I have already cited:

“expect the latest eurozone patch-up job to come unglued. When you have the heads of the eurozone’s largest countries talking about levering up bailout funds or ringing up the Chinese to ask for money, you know the latest ‘solution’ to the eurozone’s intractable problems is little more than a hastily concocted plan to kick the wine bottle just a bit further down the road. The problem is that nothing suggested begins to resolve the structural problems of the eurozone – because nothing can be done to resolve those problems. Thus, a heads-up speculator will look for ways of betting on failure and place those bets during brief flare-ups of euro-optimism.”

In our forthcoming newsletter, which should be with our members this weekend, we have unveiled a new strategy to effectively campaign to get Britain out of the EU. To join Christian Voice and begin receiving a copy of our monthly newsletter, see the information below.

Commonwealth ignores gay rights

Gay rights activists were left disappointed this weekend as the Commonwealth ignored their demands to legalise homosexual acts.

The Commonwealth: Calls for gay rights fell flat

Calls from Australia and Canada at the 2011 Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting in Perth, Western Australia, echoing William Hague’s earlier speech to the Commonwealth People’s Forum, were opposed by African, Asian and Caribbean nations.   Only Australia, Canada, New Zealand and the United Kingdom have enacted full gay rights.  India’s High Court legalised sodomy and gross indecency in 2009, and South Africa has legalised homosexual activity in line with their pro-gay constitution, but both have stopped way short of the kind of measures which have seen Christians targeted by homosexual activists in the United Kingdom.

This positive outcome is a victory for righteousness and comes after Christian Voice organised a campaign of prayer throughout the Commonwealth.  Christian Voice also exposed Michael Kirby, the Australian delegate who put down the motion to legalise unnatural acts, as an obsessive homosexual.

We give God the glory that David Cameron was left blustering on BBC’s Andrew Marr Show that he would use foreign aid to enforce his view, but admitting that any country’s position on gay rights was just ‘one of the things that will determine our aid policy’ and recognising that ‘they are in a different place to us on this issue’, suggested by Andrew Marr as ‘some sort of bizarre Western fetish’.  You can watch the interview until 5th November 2011.

The reality is that Britain must get rid of its overseas aid budget somewhere.  If it refuses to give aid to those African and Caribbean nations which view sodomy with disgust, it is a bit stuck.  However, in the past it has used aid ‘creatively’ to support projects aimed at softening up populations to accept immorality and feminism.

The Department for International Development is targeting its aid to fewer countries.  Its website says: ‘Our resources and impact will be concentrated on 27 countries which account for three quarters of global maternal mortality and nearly three quarters of global malaria deaths: Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Burma, Democratic Republic of Congo, Ethiopia, Ghana, India, Kenya, Kyrgyzstan, Liberia, Malawi, Mozambique, Nepal, Nigeria, Occupied Palestinian Territories, Pakistan, Rwanda, Sierra Leone, Somalia, South Africa, Sudan, Tajikistan,Tanzania, Uganda,Yemen, Zambia and Zimbabwe.’

If International Development Secretary Andrew Mitchell takes out all the countries which criminalise sodomy, he will be left with Burma, the Congo, India, Kyrgyzstan, Nepal, South Africa and Tajikistan.  But even then, public displays of homosexuality are a cultural taboo in pretty well all of them.  Those committing homosexual acts in Congo, for example, are prosecuted under public decency laws.  So are the children of current British aid recipients going to be denied secure schooling, vaccination,  safe drinking water and improved sanitation?  Does Cameron want women to die in pregnancy and childbirth and newborn babies to die needlessly without British aid?

Actually, African voices are beginning to voice the idea that foreign aid does more harm than good and if it is going to be attached to pro-gay strings the argument is made all the stronger.  A good argument is made that foreign aid is there to make our politicians look caring for their own political advantage.

By a picture of a smirking Mitchell, the DfID website also says it wants to ‘help 10 million more women get access to modern family planning’.  Mitchell is one of the House of Commons’ most pro-gay and pro-abortion MPs.  As ‘modern family planning ‘ means abortion, and as the British Government is going to use foreign aid to campaign for that as well as for gay rights, these aid recipients are better off without it.

Government Squashes Referendum Hopes

It will be increasingly difficult for Cameron to continue to present himself as a Eurosceptic

The motion to give the people of Britain a referendum on the EU was defeated in a vote of 483 to 111 after David Cameron ordered his MPs to vote against the proposal.

(How did your MP vote?  Click HERE for surname order, or click HERE for constituency order.  Both pages have links to the debate itself and for your MP’s email address.)

But while the coalition Government was successful in blocking the referendum (to read the text of the motion, see our earlier report), they have been significantly weakened after the largest backbench rebellion since they took power.

The outcome of yesterday’s vote was practically guaranteed after the Prime Minister invoked a mechanism known as the ‘three-line whip’, requiring MPs in Government jobs to follow the Prime Minister’s lead or lose their positions.

Despite the pressure from Downing Street, Tory MPs Stewart Jackson and Adam Holloway defied the Prime Minister’s whips and will consequently be resigning from their posts. They were joined by numerous backbenchers (see list below) in their insistence that the people of Britain have a right to a referendum.

‘Humiliation to the Government’

Referring to the 81 Tories who defied the Prime Minister, Labour leader Ed Miliband said the backbench rebellion was a “humiliation” to the Government. “If he can’t win the argument with his own backbenchers,” Miliband commented, “how can the country have confidence that he can win the arguments that matter for Britain?”

A Spokesman from Number 10 Downing Street defended the Prime Minister, saying, “It was important to take a strong lead – because Britain’s best interests are served by being in the EU.”

‘U-Turn’

Christian Voice accused David Cameron of making a ‘U-Turn’ after years of promoting himself as a Eurosceptic. Robin Phillips, press secretary for Christian Voice, commented, “He continually promises to change Britain’s relationship with Europe and even gave a ‘cast iron guarantee’ that his Government would support a referendum on the Lisbon Treaty. After yesterday’s events, the image of Cameron as a Eurosceptic will be increasingly difficult to sustain.”

“But it is not just David Cameron that is guilty of making a U-turn” Phillips continued. “In the run-up to the last general election the Liberal Democrats campaigned for a referendum [see photo below from their campaign flier]. However, when faced with a choice of keeping to their promise, they have capitulated to David Cameron’s europhilia.

The tyrant is dead, long live the tyrant

Jewish commentator Daniel Greenfield has posted an article about Libya on his blog.  Here are some edited highlghts with our links:

Despot: Colonel Gadhafi with Gordon Brown

‘The tyrant is dead, and the head of Libya’s Transitional National Council, Mustafa Abdul-Jalil,  (who was also Gaddafi’s former Justice Minister), has declared that Libya has been liberated.

‘What a glorious day it is when a country is liberated from its justice minister by its justice minister. If only Gaddafi had been quicker on the ball, he could have staged a revolution against himself and liberated the country from himself.

‘But don’t pop the champagne corks just yet. Mustafa Abdul-Jalil, who liberated Libya from himself, has also declared that it will be governed under Islamic law and that laws which contradict Islam will be abolished.

‘What can the Libyan people look forward to? In Egypt, a fellow who said something about Islam on Facebook got sentenced to three years of hard labor. Egypt, lest we forget, is a moderate Muslim state. How can you tell Egypt is a moderate Muslim state? He didn’t get the death penalty, the way he would have in Pakistan.

‘Westerners who are always on the prowl for moderate Muslims might take caution from his example. The difference between a moderate Muslim and an immoderate one, is the difference between three years of hard labor for saying the wrong thing on Facebook… and the death penalty. Instead of searching for moderate psychopaths, we might be better off asking whether we really need psychopaths at all.

‘Blasphemy laws in the Muslim world are not really about cartoons of exploding turbans and the free press, those are things that don’t exist and never really existed anyway. They’re a convenient way to keep down uppity minorities. Back when there were still Jews living in the Muslim world, charges of blasphemy were a common way of depriving them of their property or their lives. Today Christians are the main target– for as long as they’re around.

‘The Arab Spring which overthrew a moderate Tunisian government put an end to the last vestiges of tolerance. And Islamists have already been gathering outside the synagogue in Tunis and chanting the usual cheerfully peaceful slogans about the Battle of Khaybar. Which is the Muslim equivalent of snapping a Nazi salute and yelling, “See you in Auschwitz.”

‘Back in Libya there is no Jewish community, and a foolishly optimistic fellow who traveled to rebuild the synagogue there was quickly told where he could shove his liberty, fraternity and equality.

‘The Gaddafi regime was a money-grubbing totalitarian mafia, and it will be replaced by a totalitarian money-grubbing mafia, many of whose members will be alumni of the original mafia. Whoever runs the new mafia, whether it’s a “moderate” like Mustafa Abdul-Jalil, Gaddafi’s old justice minister, who wants to abolish all laws that contradict Sharia, or an immoderate, like Abdel Hakim Belhadj, commander of the Tripoli Military Council who’s also a veteran of the local Al-Qaeda franchise.

Happier days: Gadhafi meets Barack Hussein Obama

‘The death of Gaddafi does not mean a new era of human rights, only a transition to a new tyranny. The robed maniac was not the first king, sultan, bey and tyrant to be brought down by an armed mob and some foreign backed revolutionaries. This is how it has always been. The tyrant delivers his patriotic speeches, leers into the camera, alternately panders to the mob or shoots it down, and passes down power to his son.

‘What brought down Gaddafi, Mubarak and the rest of them was not the mythical popular awakening, but well-funded domestic revolutions with international backing and training, and international pressure backed by bombing raids.

‘The tyrant is dead, long live the tyrant.’

MPs to Vote on EU Referendum

BBC News reported that MPs have agreed to stage an historic debate on whether to hold a referendum on Britain’s future in the EU.

The day-long debate will occur next Monday and will culminate in MPs voting on whether to give the people of Britain a referendum.

Although originally scheduled for Thursday, Downing Street brought it forward to Monday amid fears that the party might use Cameron’s absence later in the week to stage a rebellion against his pro-EU policies.

All three political parties are putting pressure on their members to vote against the referendum and the BBC reported that conservative MPs may even be facing a three-line whip. This is a procedure that would require MPs in Government jobs to follow the Prime Minister’s lead or be threatened with losing  their positions. If Europhile David Cameron does order his MPs to vote against the referendum, it would practically ensure its defeat.

Even if MPs vote in favour of the motion next Monday, David Cameron is not bound to enforce the result, although it could be politically dangerous for him not to.

The motion that MPs will vote on reads:

This House calls upon the Government to introduce a Bill in the next session of Parliament to provide for the holding of a national referendum on whether the United Kingdom:
A) Should remain a member of the European Union on the current terms;
B) Should leave the European Union;
C) Should re-negotiate the terms of its membership in order to create a new relationship based on trade and co-operation.

Tory back-benchers voted to hold the debate after more than 100,000 people signed a petition demanding a choice. Conservative MP David Nuttall articulated the case for the referendum when he said, “I believe that a referendum along these lines would allow the public to make clear their views about our current membership of the European Union.”

“It is 36 years since we last held a referendum and our relationship with what was then known as the Common Market and the European Union has changed out of all recognition.”

Pressure on David Cameron has been mounting ever since his 2009 U-turn on the Lisbon treaty referendum. If he chooses to use his weight to block the referendum in next week’s vote, he could force a mutiny within his own party.

Speaking of the prospect of Down Street intervention, Tory MP Bill Cash said it would be ‘beyond belief’, commenting,

“It would be quite extraordinary for the Prime Minister to prevent the British people from having their say on a European project that is quite clearly failing. We have protests and riots all over Europe, we have billions of pounds being poured into bailouts and we have a trade balance with the EU which has deteriorated by £40billion. For the Prime Minister to ask the Conservative Party to vote against asking people their views would be beyond belief.”

SIGN THE PETITION at The People’s Pledge to register your support of a referendum. Also sign the Express’s e-petition.

PHONE your MP and ask how he intends to vote next week. Emphasize that we need a referendum since no one under the age of 54 has ever had a say on Britain’s relationship with the EU. Information on contacting MPs can be found here.
