  1. Surely it was the girl who was pretending to be a boy who was “misgendering”, not the teacher who referred to her and other girls as “girls”. This is ridiculous.

Various unfortunates in the news are often assured by politicians and others that the whole country is ” praying” for them. This is probably appropriate in the USA, but I’m afraid it no longer is in the UK. It would be more sincere and accurate to use a phrase like “has only the best of wishes for you in this situation”. However, if you are really stuck in a difficult situation yourself. that might be different, like when people die. You can see from any cemetery that when Granny dies, people remember the Biblical teaching that she will be asleep in the arms of Jesus. When a young man dies, his parents often remember the Biblical ritual of laying his teddy bears and dinky toys on his grave.

An aisle is essential of course if you get married, and on this occasion a supermarket aisle just won’t do. This one is strangely different from the USA, where even devout Christians have a penchant for getting married in Disneyland by an Elvis Presley impersonator, that sort of thing. People are not always rational.
