Well, I don’t usually agree with the Daily Express, not even with its front page weather headlines, actually.
But I mostly agree with their article by Stephen Pollard about a gender survey for 10 year olds . The fact is, still, that the vast majority of people in the country do not keep up with the thoughts of the London intelligentsia, and even parents are going to have unsure what “being comfortable with your gender” actually means . For the children, those same children who sometimes believe that eating cherries will stop you getting pregnant (and that came from interviewing some teenagers in London recently !), there are all sorts of misconceptions about what “being comfortable with your gender” might mean, leading to totally false answers and an invalid result to the entire research project (it that’s what it is) or to inappropriate treatment for individual children (if that is the aim of the NHS). It’s not unlike “Veiled in flesh the godhead see, hail the incarnate deity”. You really can’t expect primary school children to understand what you are on about.
I’m surprised that Mark hasn’t commented on this. But it is, as so often, a controversy where Muslims would actually agree with him. I’m sure Muslim fathers and uncles don’t want their hijabbed little girls to be encouraged to dress as boys, and some of the girls would be delighted to do so, if it caught on. Whatever next ? They might wear trousers. Oh, I think they do already, some of them !
This is another fulfilment of Romans 1, God has given them over to a debased mind.
Because those in rebellion against God have a debased mind they do the most obscene things in the name of “tolerance”.
That’s too much. I don’t think that running this survey, or even allowing boys to wear skirts (as in Scotland) can be called doing “the most obscene things” ! I’m sure that if Bob thinks very hard, he will be able to think of some much more obscene things.
