Pro-Lifers shock Brighton Students

Students file past the Abort67 witness
Students file past the Abort67 witness

Pro-Life activists caused a stir yesterday by displaying abortion imagery at a Brighton campus.

Christians from Abort67 stood outside Sussex University with the graphic pictures as the students turned up in their hundreds for lectures.

The banners the activists used had only recently been returned to them following their acquittal on public order charges by Brighton Magistrates last month.  The material had been held by Brighton Police since their arrests last year.

Andy Stephenson of Abort67 was asked about the location of the witness and said yesterday: ‘Why university campuses? Because not only are 19-24 year olds having significant numbers of abortions, but this is where our future leaders are.

‘We saw people change their minds in this way today.  One guy who was studying nursing at another university talked at length with the team and left saying he was going to try and get us a three hour lecture spot for his medical faculty.  Others included a Law student who moved significantly in his position.’

Pro-abortion students attempt to obscure the pro-life message

Pro-abortion students mounted a counter-demonstration after a couple of hours, standing in front of the pictures shouting and swearing in the hope that people wouldn’t notice the pro-life witness.

Andy Stephenson continued: ‘I am fairly certain that the rest of the day, the only topic of conversation on campus was abortion.  Indeed before I even had a chance to unpack our things, a blogger at Huffington Post responded with an article.

‘It is unlikely (though not impossible) that those so entrenched in their pro-death position will ever move, but they are not our target audience.  A majority of people are just plain ambivalent about abortion. These are the ones with functioning consciences and enough intellectual honesty to recognise they have been lied to about who the baby is and what abortion will do to him/her.

‘I am always amazed that pro-aborts don’t see the irony in what they blindly recite over and over.  If people are distressed by what they believe to be a noble choice, it is because abortion is a distressing act. Of course, we are grateful for the coverage and the inclusion of one of our graphic images that will now be seen by countless people.

‘Do the pictures work?  The pro-aborts think so.’

Jeremy Hunt’s abortion view ‘untenable’

Baby in its amniotic sac eight weeks from conception

Jeremy Hunt’s view that the abortion limit should be halved to 12 weeks is untenable, says the National Director of Christian Voice.

The Health Secretary said he believed there is a moral case for cutting the current time limit of 24 weeks.
“Everyone looks at the evidence and comes to a view about when they think that moment is, and my own view is that 12 weeks is the right point for it,” Mr Hunt told The Times.

Mr Hunt, who was appointed to his post last month, denied that his view on abortion was based on religious belief.

He said: “It’s just my view about that incredibly difficult question about the moment that we should deem life to start. I don’t think the reason I have that view is for religious reasons.”

David Steel and Yvette Cooper would allow the legalised killing of this unborn child 20 weeks after conception

Prime Minister David Cameron, Culture Secretary Maria Miller and Home Secretary Theresa May backed a reduction of four weeks, to twenty weeks, but Mr Cameron stressed there were no plans to bring legislation forward.

Some Christian groups have urged their members to write and thank Mr Hunt, Mrs May and Mrs Miller but Anthony Ozimic of the Society for the Protection of Unborn Children said any move to reduce the abortion limit was doomed to failure. “There is a large pro-abortion majority in parliament which will ensure that any time-limiting amendments are rejected while using the opportunity to push for pro-abortion amendments,” he said.

“The real political debate about abortion in the UK should focus – as it does elsewhere in the world – on the right to life of all unborn children and on the way governments bankroll abortion access at home and abroad.”

Andrew Stephenson of Abort67 agreed. A Parliamentary debate “may allow the pro-aborts to slip in amendments to make access to abortion easier.”  He said a reduction might save a few babies from death but pointed out that well over 90% of abortions take place in the first trimester (13 weeks and below) in any case.

A baby in its amniotic sac less than a month after conception, sadly removed because it was growing ectopically, in the mother’s fallopian tube. Abortion can always be allowed to save the life of the mother – but not her lifestyle!

On a positive note, Mr Stephenson said:

“Any attack on the abortion industry is a good thing.  This puts them on the defensive and causes them to speak.  If you have listened to the abortion advocates speak you will know that they always provide us with new openings to expose how deceptive and corrupt they really are.   We want them to keep speaking!

“It also shows that there is growing discontent for the status quo.  When MPs feel they can stand up for issues that would have previously been considered too contentious they must know that things are changing; over 63% of people (and increasing) in a recent poll support a total ban on abortion.”

Stephen Green, National Director of Christian Voice, said:

“I am totally perplexed by Mr Hunt’s logic. Why should we ‘deem life to start’ at twelve weeks when all organs are in place at eight weeks, the baby’s heart is already beating four weeks after conception and all genetic material is there when sperm meets egg? His view is simply untenable.”  (See link here.)

Mr Hunt’s remarks drew a predictable tirade of abuse from abortionists and their supporters.

Lord Steel, the unrepentant architect of the Abortion Act 1967, responsible for the deaths of over 6 million British children, “expressed his dismay” while shadow home secretary Yvette Cooper described Mr Hunt’s remarks as “chilling”.

“David Cameron needs to make sure his health secretary doesn’t distort medical evidence and does not impose his own view on women about their health,” she said.

Stephen Green responded:

Child in the womb at 16 weeks gestation – an entirely separate human being from his mother.

“All but a handful of abortions are carried out on perfectly healthy women who just find this new human being growing inside them inconvenient.  As for medical evidence, Yvette Cooper merely needs to look at the wonderful new catalogue of images of children in the womb.  And if she wants something really ‘chilling’, she could take a look at the results of abortion.”  The results of abortion – pictures here.

Bill Gates and the Lucis Trust

Warren Buffett with Melinda and Bill Gates
Warren Buffett with Melinda and Bill Gates - Lucis Trust links?
Warren Buffett with Melinda and Bill Gates – Lucis Trust links?

One of our correspondents mentioned Luciferianism in connection with Bill and Melinda Gates, so we decided to investigate.

A web search led to Henry Makow’s article Bill Gates: Satanist in Sheep’s Clothes?  That led to the Lucis Trust, a disarmingly wacky New Age outfit with a surprising reach into the United Nations and the pockets of the wealthy.

Some years back, we were on the mailing list of the Lucis Trust.  They claim to be in touch with ‘the Ascended Masters’ (that’s demons to you and me) and to be working for ‘World Goodwill’ and ‘the planet’.  They observe ancient witchcraft festivals and enthuse over the phases of the moon and ‘spiritual energy‘.

Support Christian Voice →

Lucis Trust is a UN NGO

The Lucis Trust actually has consultative status as an NGO at the United Nations.  Lucis Trust has an international board of trustees.  They have been said to include John D Rockefeller and Robert McNamara, but there are no well-known names today.  The Lucis Trust Website lists the names of the current trustees.  These broadly agree with the ones listed by the UK Charities Commission.  The trust spent £495,300 according to its last accounts.

The Lucis Trust was founded by the theosophist Alice Bailey, a disciple of occultist Madame Helena Blavatsky.  There is more on Alice Bailey here as well as some strange stuff about an investment bank.  Bailey wrote of the one we call Satan:

‘For it is he who was the “Harbinger of Light,” bright radiant Lucifer, who opened the eyes of automaton (Adam) created by Jehovah, as alleged; and he who was first to whisper, “In the day ye eat thereof, ye shall be as Elohim, knowing good and evil” — can only be regarded in the light of a Saviour.’

That is Luciferianism in a nutshell, turning Christian theology on its head.  The Almighty becomes the bad guy and Lucifer the altruistic bringer of enlightenment.

Gates has financially supported Lucis Trust

The Lucis Trust has an offshoot called the New Group of World Servers‘.  These are ‘group forerunners of the (sic) Christ’.  We found the Gates Foundation in a List of Financial Groups in the New Group of World Servers.  But that page has mysteriously disappeared.

The Lucis Trust logo symbolises the rising of Lucifer as the morning sun

We also found a glowing reference to the Gates Foundation on the Lucis Trust website.  Appropriately, it was in a 2010 report on a conference about money, which the Lucis Trust like (a lot).  They talk about ‘the divine circulatory flow’ of money.  Naturally, that’s mainly when it comes to them.  And it appears that is exactly what money from Gates has done.  Strangely, the current webpage omits what we found in a previous gushing version about their donors:

‘Today there is a small but influential minority of responsible and wealthy citizens and organizations who are taking action and showing great leadership in alleviating the current sufferings. The ones we may have heard about are Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, George Soros, John D. Rockefeller, Henry Ford Foundation, Andrew Carnegie Endowment, as well as many others. These philanthropic efforts are certainly making constructive and positive impacts as well as setting a necessary example to other wealthy billionaires on how money can be channeled towards constructive means to help rebuild a better civilization, restore the divine circulatory flow and heal and uplift people from the scourge of poverty, war and disease.’

United Religions Initiative

Bill Gates, George Soros and the Lucis Trust World Service Fund are all said to have financed the United Religions Initiative.  Unsurprisingly, that was an interfaith movement with UN links.  It was founded in 1995 by Episcopalian Bishop William Spring.

Apart from Gates, Soros, Rockefeller, Ford and Carnegie are key players developing the doctrine of one-world government.  They are also spreading the immorality of abortion and sodomy mainly in Africa and Asia.  Warren Buffet’s donation of $3.17 billion to the Gates Foundation earlier in 2017 was widely reported.  Another sizeable donation in 2012 made Gates the world’s biggest donating foundation, outstripping both Ford and Rockefeller.  Warren Buffett is in favour of higher taxes and big government.  Additionally, he is pro-abortion, just like Bill and Melinda Gates.

Warren Buffet said of eugenics and abortion giant Planned Parenthood: “If by some magic we could make every child born in this country a wanted child, we would have incredibly fewer problems in all areas of society. The closest thing we have to that magic is Planned Parenthood.”  William H Gates Sr, Bill Gates’ father, was head of Planned Parenthood.

Bangladeshi ambassador

A brief and revealing summing-up of the 2010 Lucis conference is here.  It was addressed by Ambassador Anwarul K. Chowdhury.  He was the Bangladeshi ambassador to the United Nations before taking up a post there as UN Under-Secretary-General and High Representative for the Least Developed Countries.  He is therefore a UN insider.  The other speaker was one Barbara L. Valocore.

Steve Nation is on the boards of both the Lifebridge Foundation and Lucis Trust UK and is Co-Convenor of the Council of the ‘Spiritual Caucus at the United Nations’

Who is she?  She is ‘a long-time student of the Ageless Wisdomand President of the Lifebridge Foundation, Inc.  That’s a New Age group, a little like the UK-based Findhorn Foundation.  It is based near Rosendale, a town 80 miles up the Hudson river from New York.  Lifebridge give grants (promoting their ‘holistic vision’) to groups advocating the environmentalist New Age agenda.  One recipient has been the British Trust for Conservation Volunteers.  Lifebridge see all creation as alive.  Thy even carry a report by biologist Rupert Sheldrake on a summer-solstice conference asking if the sun is conscious.  They share two trustees, activist Steve Nation, and his ‘partner’ Barbara Valocore, with the Lucis Trust.

The same two are council members of the creepy UN Spiritual Caucus.  More on them here.

World Servers

The Lucis Trust organised a Festival for the New Group of World Servers from 21st to 28th December 2012. This happens once every seven years.  It is always an important target for our prayer, particularly the culminating full moon.  Appropriately enough, the key event was held at the Lifebridge Sanctuary:

‘For the Festival Week, the Rosendale World Service Group will be hosting a gathering at Lifebridge Sanctuary for the duration of the Week (December 21 – 28). The gathering will feature service meditations in support of the New Group of World Servers and study from the Alice Bailey books concentrating on the needs of humanity during this critical time of transition.

‘There will be a public gathering in observation of the Solstice (focused on the New Group of World Servers) for the local community, as well as a public meditation meeting for the full moon. The group staying at the Sanctuary will be meditating during the actual time of the full moon.’

Anti-abortion activists win their case

6
A baby of eight weeks gestation, a month younger than the typical age for abortion

The charges against two anti-abortion activists were struck down by a District Judge last Monday.

Pro-life campaigners Kathryn Sloane and Andrew Stephenson were put on trial last week before Brighton Magistrates Court for allegedly “obstructing police” when asked to take down pictures of aborted babies they were displaying outside a clinic in Brighton last year.

District Judge Nicholson declared that the campaigners, who are part of the group Abort67, were within their rights to resist the police since the police were acting illegally. (Read the Telegraph Report ‘Anti-abortion campaigners hail ‘free speech victory’ as trial collapses.’)

This has been a great victory for freedom, in addition to increasing public awareness of what actually goes on behind the closed walls of abortion clinics.

Locked-in man dies after losing case

20
The late Tony Nicklinson

Tony Nicklinson, who asked the High Court to grant his wife or a doctor the freedom to end his life has died days after the verdict which refused his petition.

And already the pro-euthanasia vultures are circling.

Mr Nicklinson had been refusing food for up to seven days after learning the outcome of his appeal last week. He developed pneumonia and deteriorated rapidly. In 2004 Mr Nicklinson issued an advanced directive refusing any life sustaining treatment should he fall ill.

Paradoxically, Mr Nicklinson’s wife said that the fight had gone out of him after the verdict. He had in a sense lost the will to live. When he died, around 10am on Wednesday morning, his wife, daughters Lauren and Beth and his sister Ginny were by his side.

Nicklinson developed ‘locked-in’ syndrome after a stroke. He wanted the court to agree to his request for an assisted suicide, saying that he had been condemned to a life which was ‘worse than death’.

Other victims of locked in syndrome have adopted a more positive outlook despite sympathy for the points Tony Nicklinson made in Court.  Michael and Wendy Cubiss, for example, bravely told the BBC that there are some positive factors. And the maxim remains that where there is life there is hope. No one can deny the possibility of a miracle.

Last week, three High Court judges ruled that they did not have the power to grant Mr Nicklinson’s request for a doctor to be given immunity from prosecution for murder by giving him a lethal dose of painkillers. It would be wrong, they said, for the court to depart from the long-established legal position that ‘voluntary euthanasia is murder, however understandable the motives may be’. Lord Justice Toulson said that it was not the place of the courts to ‘usurp the function of Parliament’.

Euthanasia campaigners have mounted a sustained campaign over many years with the result that MPs and peers have debated euthanasia on a number of occasions. The present case will provide a useful handle for them to revisit the matter. Labour peer Lord Joffe has already aired his view that Tony Nicklinson’s ‘incredible courage’ will ‘eventually lead to a change in the law’. The persistent euthanasia campaigner, who has previously presented assisted suicide bills, said the law needs to be changed and ‘MPs are not listening to society’.

Joel Lord Joffe relaxing at home

However, each time the matter has been debated in Parliament legislators have agreed with disability rights campaigners that there would be little or no protection for the elderly and vulnerable if the law changed to satisfy a small number of very hard and very tragic cases. They have not done so out of cowardice, as Mr Nicklinson alleged, but out of deep consideration for the wider implications.

Stephen Green, National Director of ChristianVoice, said today: ‘We had the greatest sympathy for Tony Nicklinson’s predicament but we welcomed the court verdict. His terrible ordeal is now at an end. It is only Almighty God who has the right to create and take life. In the end Mr Nicklinson has had his wish granted by a higher authority than any on this earth.’

Feast of the Holy Innocents Highlights Abortion Atrocity

Today is the Feast of the Holy Innocents, a day that Christians have historically set aside for remembering the baby boys of Bethlehem that Herod cruelly slaughtered (Matthew 2:16-18).

Also called Childermas, the Feast was instituted between 400 and 500 AD by the Latin-speaking church and intentionally placed within the octave of Christmas to emphasize that the Holy Innocents – considered by many to be the church’s first martyrs – gave their life for the newborn Saviour.

But the Feast is also a time when the church annually reaffirms her commitment to the sanctity of life. As George Grant observed last year,

It has long been the focus of the Christian Church’s commitment to protect and preserve the sanctity of human life–thus serving as a prophetic warning against the practicioners of abandonment and infanticide in the age of Antiquity, oblacy and pessiary in the Medieval epoch, and abortion and euthanasia in these Modern times. Generally set aside as a day of prayer, it culminates with a declaration of the covenant community’s unflinching commitment to the innocents who are unable to protect themselves.

As Dr. Grant’s words suggest, today is a time for us to mourn, not only over the Bethlehem martyrs, but over the tens of thousands of innocent victims who have been slain on the altar of the abortion industry. It is a time for us to pray against the modern day Herods who continue to act on the assumption that an infant derives its value (and hence its right to live) from members of the adult community.

At Christian Voice, we have made the sanctity of life a particular focus, and our our archives are filled with many articles on the evils of abortion. We would encourage you to read some of these articles, but more than that, we encourage you to make today a day of prayer for our nation. Ask the Lord to turn the hearts of our modern day Herods from murder to repentance.

Witness Success at Pro-Abortion Conference

3
Fetus

Christian Voice carried out a successful lobbying of the Marie Stopes Global ‘Safe’ Abortion Conference on Tuesday 23rd and Wednesday 24th October 2007 .  We leafleted those going in to the conference (sad to see so many African and Asian faces and hear Eastern European accents) and passers-by all day Tuesday.  We were there again on the Wednesday.  Christian Voice National Director Stephen Green ended up preaching as the abortionists and hangers-on were coming out, from Psalm 106:37-39, Proverbs 6:17 and Deuteronomy 27:25, 30:19 for conviction of sin, and Ephesians 1:7 and 1John 1:7 to show them how the blood of Jesus Christ could wash away the innocent blood from their hands.

So we were there when it started, and there when it ended, and they knew.  The leaflets accusing the conference organisers of cultural imperialism and branding Marie Stopes the racist eugenicist she was were taken into the meeting.  The police imposed no conditions whatsoever on our witness (not wanting to give any excuse for anyone to get arrested and have their picture in the papers, perhaps).  So all went well and as is normal at our events, entirely peacefully.

But commenting afterwards on possible attempts at amendments to the Governments’ ‘Human Tissue and Embryos Bill’, Stephen Green said:

‘The idea being promoted by certain parts of the pro-life movement of reducing the weeks limit on abortion is doomed.  The last time David Alton tried that, in 1990, it blew up in his face.  A limit of 24 weeks was voted in, at the top end of pro-lifers’ fears, while pro-death MPs drove a cart and horses through it by getting an exception for handicap – even minor cases like cleft pallet – up to birth.

‘We saw it on Sunday trading as well.  When the people of God stand firm on the principles of God, from the word of God, trusting in the power of God, He honours that and works miracles.  When we go for expediency and compromise, He turns His face from us.  And we never learn our lessons (Luke 16:8b).  God does not call for a bit less legalised killing of innocents, He wants none at all.  And He expects His prophets to proclaim His word, not their own ideas.  (Jer 14:14)  So expect all the effort being put into reducing the weeks to result in nothing, or maybe just a two-week reduction, with massive further liberalisation including just one doctor’s signature instead of two, and the legalisation of DIY back-street abortion kits.

‘This year has been the Wilberforce bicentenary.  On Saturday it will be 40 years from the passing of the Abortion Act 1967.  40 years in the eyes of God is a time of testing, of judgment, and this United Kingdom is ripe for judgment, just as it was then, profiting from the capture, buying and selling of fellow human beings.  It took Wilberforce 40 years to see slavery outlawed.  Did he bring in compromised Bills, to ban a bit of the slave trade, or do it more comfortably?  No, he went for abolition of the trade straight away, then the practice of slavery itself.  The pro-life lobbyists need to wake up and smell the breakfast beverage.  Forget compromise, stand for abolition.  The day in which one of our pro-life MPs brings in a Bill to repeal the 1967 Abortion Act, will be the day we start counting down with Wilberforce.’

Read: Deut 27:25, 30:19; Psalm 106:37-39, Psalm 139; Prov 6:17; Jer 2:34, 14:14; Micah 6:7-8; Luke 1:8-45; Gal 1:15; Eph 1:7 and 1John 1:7

Footnote:
Channel 4 newsreader Jon Snow pulled out of chairing a session at the Marie Stopes Abortion conference, after being inundated by critical emails, saying he would be ‘out of the country’.  His place was taken by Sue McGregor of Radio 4’s ‘Woman’s Hour’.  The coming together at the same conference of ‘Sooma’ and a Nicaraguan delegate bemoaning that country’s heroic new anti-abortion law should remind those with long memories of the masterpiece of self-parody run on Woman’s Hour a few years ago.  It lauded their latest feminist icon, a tractor-driving, abortion-inducing grandmother from, you’ve guessed it, Nicaragua .  Anyone tuning in to Woman’s Hour for a recipe for home-made chutney?  Ah, those were the days.

Life before birth – death before birth

Baby in Amniotic Sac

Some awesome photos of what we look like in the womb.

But be warned: there are some pictures further down the page of the effects of abortion.

The baby on the top left is in its amniotic sac.  It was removed from the mother because it was ectopic – growing in one of her fallopian tubes.  They can get blocked naturally or as the result of an infection like Chlamydia.  The age of the baby is probably four weeks.  Its heart started beating three weeks from conception.  So did yours.

The baby on the top right above is eight weeks from conception.  Everything is now perfectly formed.  We all looked like this at one stage – some of us a bit darker, of course.  All we have to do now is grow.

Incidentally, the baby grows the amniotic sac itself, not the mother.  Her womb is there simply to support and protect the baby.  Even in the placenta, the blood of mother and baby never mix.  Nutrients and waste pass in opposite directions from one to the other through the placenta by osmosis.  How clever is that?

The picture below is of a baby eleven weeks from conception.  Most abortions are done at this sort of age.

11 weeks from conception

No abortionist will tell a mother honestly what her baby looks like at that age.  To give an idea of the scale, the person on the right is holding the feet of a baby which was aborted.  They have been cleaned up for the picture.

Feet of 12-week-old baby

Here is where it gets a unpleasant, but you need to know the truth. Below will be more photos of aborted African-American babies.  A lot of abortions are carried out on black women in the States, for some reason.  We’ll be adding them to this page in a day or two, so please come back.

Commonwealth must resist pro-sodomy call

Do African nations really need gay pride marches? This sad and depraved scene took place in London.

CANBERRA, Australia — An official says leaders of former British Empire countries will be asked next weekend to legalize homosexuality.

Australian delegate Michael Kirby told Australian Broadcasting Corporation radio yesterday that the agenda includes a recommendation to legalize homosexuality.  Kirby claims countries have a difficult time educating populations about safe sex while also banning ‘gay sex’.

Leaders of 53 Commonwealth countries will meet in the Australian city of Perth over the weekend of 28th to 30th October 2011 for the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting.  As motions are determined by consensus, the Australian initiative will most likely get nowhere, but it is part of the pressure being exerted by the white donor nations on those they regard as less ‘enlightened’.

Australian activist Rob Lake says most Commonwealth countries outlaw homosexuality and the response to the recommendation would ‘test their human rights commitment’.

London Gay Pride March

The truth about HIV/AIDS

Firstly, Kirby’s claim is both self-serving and contradictory.  For years sodomy advocates have told the rest of us that HIV/AIDS is not a ‘gay disease’ and did not predominantly affect the homosexual network.  Now Kirby admits that it does.  So what is the truth?

In fact, HIV/AIDS is a bloodbourne disease which needs to get into the bloodstream direct or through an open wound.

So, firstly, the rectum is easily torn during sodomy, and the rectal wall is only one cell thick.  It is perfectly designed to extract water from bodily waste, so viruses of all sorts can be absorbed straight into the blood-stream during the unnatural act of sodomy.

Secondly, if sexually-transmitted diseases go untreated, they can leave lesions through which HIV can travel during normal sexual intercourse. Thirdly, reuse of hypodermic needles following inadequate sterilisation can transmit HIV in some countries’ medical establishments.  Chastity before marriage, faithfulness in marriage and good medical practice, which may need better funding, are much more effective than condoms in stopping HIV/AIDS.

Legalising homosexual acts will increase gay tourism

Legalising sodomy would only make matters worse, and will also lead to more of the horrors of gay tourism which already corrupt children in parts of Africa, the Caribbean and Asia.  Despite what Mr Lake and other ‘health’ and ‘human rights’ activists say, there is no human right to commit unnatural sexual acts in any human rights document.  Homosexual attraction is not inbuilt.  Both men and women have been released from it.

Lesbian aggression at Sidney Mardi Gras; one of the less indecent photos on the Mardi Gras website.

Let us look at the countries leading the pro-sodomy charge.  In Australia, the Sydney ‘Mardi Gras‘ has, according to its website, been taken up with enthusiasm by the city.  It, like every Mardi Gras and Gay Pride everywhere in the world, is an annual display of Western depravity and obscenity.

Activists promoting pro-gay teaching in schools

The UK hosts numerous homosexual events and promotes sodomy to school-children as young as five.  Every political party is now in favour of gay rights, none more so than the one headed by David Cameron, our ‘Conservative’ Prime Minister, who is so obsessed by homosexuality he wants homosexuals to be allowed to get ‘married‘ and has threatened African nations that he will withdraw foreign aid unless they legalise the Western vice of sodomy.

Cameron’s proposals have led to a Petition to Defend Marriage, and a Christian Voice campaign to Save Africa from Sodomy, which includes a seperate Petition on the subject linked to a hard-hitting video.

Call to resist Western depravity

Stephen Green, National Director of Christian Voice, said today:

‘Those Commonwealth nations who still respect morality and the sovereignty of Almighty God have to stand together against the cultural imperialism of rich white countries.   Britain, Australia, Canada and New Zealand still have a colonialist mindset in which the white man knows best.  Well perhaps Britain and the rest, where immorality in public policy is leading to a breakdown of society and even to violence on the streets, need to take some lessons in decency and respect from African, Caribbean and Asian nations.

‘I live in a country which has been rushing along a godless road to destruction for the past fifty years.  Britain legalised sodomy, abortion, divorce-on-demand and pornography in the 1960s.  Today Britain is described as brutal and broken even by leading politicians like David Cameron himself.

‘The nation which took the Gospel around the world is now intent on exporting our peculiar brand of wickedness.

‘Our experience in Britain shows that legalising sodomy leads to full gay rights, recognised homosexual partnerships and then ‘gay weddings’, hate crimes laws designed to prevent pastors speaking the truth about human sexuality, and an aggressive homosexual lobby which allows no dissent in political parties or in the corridors of power.

‘In Britain, it has led to hoteliers being forced to let rooms to pairs of homosexuals and forced those who oppose sodomy out of public-sector jobs.  Ours is a society going to a libertarian hell on earth where the rights of people to practice their Christian faith are openly trampled on.

‘And if activists want to talk about human rights, let them explain away the fact that in England and Wales, 189,574 children were killed by abortion in 2010 alone.  Every single day of the year, on average, over 500 unborn children are being torn out of what should be the safest place on God’s earth in the United Kingdom.  Where is their human right to life?  For some amazing pictures of life – and death – before birth, click HERE

‘Truly, David Cameron has no moral high ground at all from which to lecture non-white Commonwealth nations about ‘human rights’.

‘I hope and pray that those nations will stand together to tell Australia and Britain a few home truths about basic morality.’

ABORTION: KEEP WOMEN IN THE DARK

10
Big Ben and the House of Commons

The House of Commons has voted to keep women in ignorance of the consequences of abortion.

An attempt by Nadine Dorries MP to take away from abortion providers their role in counselling women about to buy abortions was heavily defeated in the House of Commons today.

We need your support: Please join Christian Voice

In practice, the amount of counselling they actually do is minimal, as they have abortions to sell, but the Dorries amendment would have opened the way for pro-life charities to offer counselling.

Abortion providers feared that pregnant women would be less inclined to go ahead with the operations if they discovered they were actually carrying a child with a beating heart, and that they would consequently lose revenue.  (A baby’s heart starts beating three weeks from conception.)

A split developed between the original supporters of the amendment after Frank Field MP was persuaded by the health minister, Anne Milton, that the government would try to implement ‘the spirit’ of the proposal, and withdrew his support.

Anne Milton told MPs: “The government is supportive of the spirit of these amendments and we intend to bring forward proposals for regulations accordingly, but after consultation. Primary legislation is not only unnecessary but would deprive parliament of the opportunity to consider the detail of how this service would develop and evolve.”

Mrs Dorries hailed Milton’s undertaking as a victory. She told the BBC’s Norman Smith: “We lost the battle but we have won the war.”  But she criticised the involvement of arch-atheist and ex-MP Evan Harris, who lobbied Deputy Prime Minister Nick Clegg, who persuaded David Cameron to withdraw his initial support for the amendment and to announce that health ministers and their parliamentary aides would vote against it.

MPs consequently voted by 368 votes to 118 (a majority of 250) to reject the amendment, but Mrs Dorries managed to win the support of three cabinet ministers – Iain Duncan Smith, the work and pensions secretary, Liam Fox, the defence secretary, and Owen Paterson, the Northern Ireland secretary.

It will now be up to pro-life peers in the House of Lords to try to carry the amendment.

The defeat was welcomed by the British Pregnancy Advisory Service, Britains second-biggest abortionist after Marie Stopes. Ann Furedi, its chief executive, said: “Bpas is pleased to see Nadine Dorries’ amendment so overwhelmingly rejected. We look forward to being able to focus our efforts on the issues which pose a genuine problem for women considering ending a pregnancy.”  And also continiuing to make money from ending innocent lives.

Strangely, Mrs Dorries insisted that she did not want to restrict access to abortion. “I do not want to return to the days of back street abortionists,” she said. “I am pro-choice. Abortion is here to stay.”

PRAY: That it isn’t.  Pray that an MP someday soon will find the courage by the grace of God to bring before the House of Commons a Bill to repeal the Abortion Act 1967.  That has never been done in the 44 years since the Act passed into law.

(Note that Elisabeth was six months pregnant at this time, and Mary had only just conceived.)

To anyone who has been involved with abortion, or had an abortion, and is now deeply sorry and in anguish, and wishes it had never happened, the Lord Jesus says: (Mark 3:28) Verily I say unto you, All sins shall be forgiven unto the sons of men.  Jesus went to the Cross so that the sins of every one who believes in him might be forgiven.  His disciple John wrote:
1John 2:1  My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous:  1John 2:12  I write unto you, little children, because your sins are forgiven you for his (Jesus’s) name’s sake.

No Christian Compassion from Dr. Martin

1

A leading Christian lobby group has scorned the claim by Dr Howard Martin that he was exercising ‘Christian compassion’ when he administered lethal injections to hasten the death of patients.

Stephen Green, National Director of Christian Voice, said:

‘Dr Martin was not exercising any form of compassion when he autocratically decided some of his patients were better off dead. Human life is not to be reckoned alongside that of a dog which we might ‘put down’. Such arrogance was taking upon himself the role of the Almighty, who alone should decide the time of our death. Dr Martin came to the point where he thought he could play God, and he has rightly been struck off the medical register with damning comments from the GMC panel.

‘As to falsely telling the family of Harry Gittins that his cancer had spread when he held no evidence that it had, well, if lying to a patient’s family is Christian compassion, the Ninth Commandment needs to be re-written.

‘I now call upon the police to re-open the case of murder against Dr Martin for the death of Harry Gittins and bring this arrogant and self-deluded old man, a disgrace to both his profession and to the Christian faith, to justice.’

Death Squad for Hire

1

For the first time, an abortionist has advertised its services on British television. As we went to press, a a thirty second advertisement by Marie Stopes entitled ‘Are you late?’ was scheduled to broadcast on Channel 4 on Monday 24th May just after 10.00pm.

The advertisement is the first of a series planned to run until the end of June. Its target audience is women whose period is late because they have conceived a baby following sexual intercourse. It advises them to call an 0845 number, the Marie Stopes telephone ‘helpline’. The only ‘help’ on offer will be hands ready, at a price, to tear limb from limb the innocent baby growing in the mother’s womb. The bereaved mother will be left with the knowledge that she has killed her child, and without repentance and forgiveness through the saving merits of the Lord Jesus Christ, she will carry that psychological burden until the day of her own death.

Most abortions in Great Britain are carried out from a gestational age of 8 to 13 weeks on what have been the first-born. A picture shows a baby at the gestational age of 8 weeks. The baby is recognisably human, with a head, a brain which reacts to stimuli such as pain, legs and arms, toes and fingers. The baby’s heart, like ours, was beating 3 weeks after conception and will not stop until the day you die.

Channel 4 is advertising the killing of a living, sentient human being. Marie Stopes is the world’s second biggest abortion provider, and claims to be responsible for one third of the almost 600 children murdered in their mothers’ wombs every single day in our land, 6 million in total since 1968, when the abortion Act came into force. Although designated a charity, Marie Stopes’ staff are well paid and have a vested interest in providing death by abortion. That is, after all, how they earn their daily bread.

The Bible says God hates the hands that shed innocent blood and that blood defiles the land. Abortion is our modern form of human sacrifice, and Satan derives power from it, especially from the blood of the first-born. But it brings judgment on us all. The judgment falls as a view that human life is expendable. We see it on the streets. It comes home to the families of youths killed for a mobile phone or a ‘disrespectful’ look. How much more will the judgment of God fall on those who are complicit in the murder of their fellow human beings.

READ: Gen 4:10, 9:6,12,13; Numb 35:30-33; Psalm 106:37-38; Prov 6:16-17; Jer 32:35; Micah 6:7-8; Matt 9:2; Mark 3:28; Rev 7:13-17.

PRAY: That the advertisements are stopped. Pray that discussion of abortion will bring across the humanity of the child in the womb.

Government’s Vadera Takes Sides on Abortion

0

A Government minister is speaking at a pro-abortion conference this week, contrary to a statement in today’s Observer that ‘the government would not get drawn into the forthcoming political battle over abortion.’

Shriti, Baroness Vadera, Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State for International Development, and a crony of Gordon Brown, is set to deliver a speech at the ‘Global Safe Abortion’ conference on Tuesday, run by abortion multinational Marie Stopes International.

A Whitehall source told the Observer: “Our position has been, is and will continue to be that it’s a matter for Parliament.”

But Stephen Green, National Director of Christian Voice, said that position had been undermined by Baroness Vadera’s attendance.  ‘By permitting Shriti Vadera to turn up at such a high-profile event promoting abortion on demand, the Government has done just what they said they wouldn’t do – they have been drawn into the battle and have allied themselves to abortion-on-demand extremists,’ he said.

The move comes as the Archbishop of Canterbury expressed anger over the way abortion is being treated as normal.  ‘We are losing our moral focus’ over the issue, he said.

Stephen Green said: ‘It is especially disturbing to have a Government spokeswoman of Indian origin supporting abortion on demand given the abuses of abortion in India . Selective foeticide has resulted in a gender imbalance of 80 girls being born for every 100 boys.  Clearly the Hindu dowry system is partly to blame, but abortion on demand in India is the evil which allows such an injustice to be done.  For Shriti Vadera to go and support abortion on demand knowing about the misogyny it encourages in India is simply callous.’

Christian Voice is planning to distribute a leaflet condemning the practice of abortion in the area surrounding the Queen Elizabeth II conference centre during the conference.

Blood Toucheth Blood

In a chilling reminder of the laws of cause and effect, an American Christian group have proposed a reason for the bloodshed of the Virginia Tech massacre.

On Monday morning, 16th April, 2007, a 23-year-old male student armed with two pistols and multiple clips of ammunition, murdered at least 30 people locked inside a Virginia Tech academic building in Blacksburgg, Virginia, before taking his own life.

The VA Tech senior is also suspected of killing two other students earlier in a co-ed dormitory building, for a total of 33 dead in the deadliest mass shooting in modern American history.  The mass on-campus killings are immediately, eerily, sadly, and tragically reminiscent of the Columbine High shootings on April 20, 1999 , which killed 15, including the two teen male student shooters.

President George Bush said on Monday, “Schools should be places of safety and sanctuary and learning.  When that sanctuary is violated, the impact is felt in every American classroom and every American community.”

But Columbia Christians for Life, based in Colombia , South Carolina, picking up on President Bush’s words, asked him:  ‘What about the violation of the “safety” and “sanctuary” of a mother’s womb by abortion, and that impact, Mr. Bush ?  Over 47 Million have been murdered by surgical abortion alone in America since 1973! (www.ldi.org).’  At VA Tech’s polytheistic ecumenical convocation Tuesday, President Bush said, “It’s impossible to make sense of such violence and suffering.”

Steve Lefemine, the Director of Columbia Christians for Life, said Mr Bush was wrong.  ‘If you will search the Scriptures you referred to in your remarks at VA Tech, perhaps you will see God’s commandment of obedience to Him, for a nation to enjoy peace and security (e.g., Lev. 26:5,6).’

Lefemine continued: ‘ABORTION, which is violence against children while in the wombs of their mothers, is the root cause of the violence that we see coming out of this generation of youth.  The Bible says, “Blood toucheth blood” (Hosea 4:2), or bloodshed follows bloodshed.  Innocent bloodshed in the womb is being followed by innocent bloodshed around our nation.  The 33 killed Monday at VA Tech is 1/100th of the estimated 3,300 murdered daily by surgical abortion alone on American soil in America ‘s approx. 740 child-murder-by-abortion domestic terror centers (www.ldi.org). There are spiritual principles of corporate bloodguilt and blood recompensation revealed in the Bible which apply when innocent blood is shed upon a land, as in the case today of government-protected child-murder-in-the-womb.

‘We adults should not be surprised that a generation of youth is resorting to violent murder to resolve their problems with others, even when it ends in the taking of their own lives.  The Bible says that God is not mocked, that we reap what we sow (Galatians 6:7).  For the last 34-plus years, we have sown violence into the next generation by murdering children in the womb.  God spoke through His servant the prophet Hosea over 2700 years ago, to the people of Israel:

“My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, … seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children.”   Hosea 4:6 KJV

‘It is time for the adults of America to repent.  We have sinned grievously and wickedly against the next generation.  We have killed one-third of the post-Roe generation by surgical abortion alone, and probably two to three times that number chemically with abortifacient birth control, e.g., birth control pills, Depo-Provera, Norplant, IUD, etc.  We have taught the next generation that it is OK to fornicate, and if necessary, it is OK to “choose” to kill those pre-birth human beings in the womb who are unwanted. Now (e.g., Columbine, VA Tech) we are reaping the bad fruit of what we have sown.  We have sown violence in the womb with abortion, and now we are reaping violence in schools, on the streets, in homes, and around the nation.  These shootings are a sign and a judgment from God Himself.

‘ Virginia delegate George Mason said in the 1787 Constitutional Convention, “By an inevitable chain of causes and effects, Providence punishes nation sins by national calamities.”  Child-murder-by-abortion is a national sin.  Columbine, 9-11, Katrina, and VA Tech have all been national calamities.  More and greater divine judgment is coming upon America , even destruction, unless we repent of the national sin of abortion.’

Stephen Green, National Director of Christian Voice, added: ‘It is not just America which needs to repent.  We have just the same anti-life attitude in Britain , the same sort of figures for abortions as a proportion of conceptions, the same determination to leave morality and marriage to the ‘market’, the same societal death-wish and the same sort of disaffected youth.  Our youth are into knives as well as guns, and increasingly carry the latter despite hand-guns being banned after Dunblane, to a chorus of how much safer our streets were going to be.  They use both to settle the most trivial of disputes, or to rob for peanuts, without any recognition of the worth of human life.

‘Britain and America also share responsibility for the wreckage of Iraq , where 200 people were murdered in Baghdad alone yesterday.  We seem able to export and amplify our lawlessness.  Unless we too repent of the evil of abortion, by which in Britain over 6 million children have died since 1968, and begin to rebuild morality and marriage, at every level of society, we can expect the judgment of God.  Nor will it just fall on the lower classes, whom our elite hold in contempt.  It will fall on our leaders as well.  They too will reap what they have sown.’

Police in China Protest Climbdown

0

The Metropolitan Police were forced into an embarrassing climb-down this morning, as they conceded that human rights and pro-life protestors have a lawful right peacefully to assemble on the pavement right outside the Chinese Embassy in London’s Portland Place.

A couple of dozen activists assembled at 10.30 am to witness against imprisonment without trial, torture and forced abortion in China, as half-a-dozen police looked on. Christian pastors of unregistered churches are regularly locked up and tortured in China, while China’s enforcement of its ‘one-child’ policy has resulted in forced abortions and now such a gender imbalance that a large proportion of Chinese men have no prospect of ever being married and having children of their own.

The turnaround is a landmark concession by a police force which had previously tried to shield the Chinese. A permanent protest by the Falun Gong movement, detailing the tortures inflicted upon their members, has been sited across the road outside the Royal Institute of British Architects on police instruction. Up until Friday morning, Marylebone Police Superintendent Jonathan Morgan was still threatening anyone who stood on the pavement outside the Embassy with arrest. It took the serving of papers for a judicial review yesterday for the Met to climb down.

The Chinese were less than pleased at the protest on their doorstep. At one point, a Met police superintendent was seen explaining to an irate Chinese diplomat the new reality that the police now acknowledge that British people have a lawful right to peaceful protest on the streets of London.

Rev Jim Dowson, leader of UK Life League, said today: “This is a massive victory over repression and the denial of basic human rights in our own land. A precedent was set today when Christians were permitted to stand outside the Chinese Embassy in peaceful protest at the despicable human rights record of the Chinese regime. It is the first time such a protest has been allowed, and the police had to be shamed into permitting it. I have spent the last three weeks in an increasingly unreal correspondence with Superintendent Morgan, to the point where I began to have fears for the man’s sanity. I still do not know whether it was him acting as a loose cannon, or whether he was under orders from above to try to spare the blushes of the Chinese. I have in any case taken the step of reporting Superintendent Morgan to the IPCC.”

Stephen Green, National Director of Christian Voice, said:

“It was important for us to stand in solidarity with our brothers and sisters in China, and to pray for an end to forced abortions, detention without trial and torture. It was the least we could do. We talk about the Church coming under persecution in the UK, but we cannot imagine what it must be like in a country with no freedom to evangelise or worship the Lord Jesus Christ except as the State decrees.

“I counted it a privilege to stand in witness outside the Chinese Embassy, read the word of God from the Bible and prayer for God’s will to be done in that land.”

It was all a far cry from what happened at a previous protest on 1st July, when the Met allowed themselves to be used as a private security force of the Chinese Government, serving a Section 14 notice under the Public Order Act 1986 banning prolifers and human rights activists from UK Life League and Christian Voice from the Chinese side of the road. Inspector Robert Hedderman then told the dozen or so bemused Christians that he believed “that the assembly may result in serious disruption to the life of the community” and that “the purpose of the persons taking part in the assembly is the intimidation of others with a view to compelling them not to do an act that they a right to do or to do an act they have a right not to do.”

Stephen Green, National Director of Christian Voice, said at the time:

“The legislation used against us to prevent our holding a peaceful act of witness on the pavement outside the Chinese Embassy was brought in to stop violent animal rights activists intimidating researchers. To see it used to save one of the most despotic regimes on God’s earth from shame on the eve of the G8 summit is nothing short of scandalous and an abuse of civil rights here in the UK.

“Moving us to the opposite side of the road hardly lessened the supposed ‘disruption to the life of the community’ which Inspector Hedderman pretended to be so worried about. The truth is, the British police are simply on the side of those who want to make money trading in the Chinese market. They should be on the side of peace and justice. I was able to kneel and say a few words of prayer actually outside the Embassy itself before the police moved me on, but they had no right to use such heavy-handed tactics just because the Chinese did not want the brothers of those they are torturing standing outside their London HQ.”

Rev Jim Dowson, leader of UK Life League added, “This is the regime which sent tanks into Tiannamen Square and routinely tortures dissidents who are simply detained without trial. If they feel intimidated by the prayers of a few protestors, then they must know we serve a mighty God indeed.”

Stephen Green continued: “We set up the vigil in the first place because of issues raised in the 2005 report from Amnesty International. The use of arbitrary detention and systematic torture as a means of repression is well documented, and that against unregistered Christians and the Falun Gong has reached sickening levels. Ms Gao Rongrong, a Falun Gong follower, died in June this year from appalling injuries sustained during prolonged torture, in particular, the use of electric batons to her face, head and neck. On top of that, we are horrified by:

“(a) The practice of forced abortions in China as part of that country’s notorious ‘one-child’ policy, financed in part through the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), which Britain supports,

“(b) The persecution of Christians in China. In particular, Amnesty have specifically recorded the widespread torture and detention of Chinese Protestant pastors which has been going on for years.

“We do not agree with Amnesty International on absolutely everything they do and all their policy positions, but the human rights abuses they catalogue in China are shaming to the UK, which is happy to trade with these torturers. Amnesty even cite the case of a woman who was forcibly aborted so she could be put to death on drugs charges – Chinese law does not allow the death penalty for pregnant women. She was eventually sentenced to life imprisonment. That case is evil and barbaric, as is much else in China. So we have no hesitation in condemning China on the basis of the Amnesty Report and calling for our Government to stop financing China’s human rights abuses and to ostracise China as a trading nation.”

Today’s protest will be embarrassing to both the Chinese and British Governments. Tony Blair has just been in China doing trade deals, and his main speech omitted any reference to torture or China’s infamous ‘one child’ policy. Mr Blair raised human rights with the Chinese premier, but not too strongly, with several orders in the balance, including one for Airbus planes.

Police Bow to Chinese Embassy Pressure

The Metropolitan Police allowed themselves to be used as a private security force of the Chinese Government this afternoon, when they served a Section 14 notice under the Public Order Act 1986 preventing a peaceful vigil right outside the Chinese Embassy by prolifers and human rights activists from UK Life League and Christian Voice.   Inspector Robert Hedderman told the dozen or so Christians that he believed “that the assembly may result in serious disruption to the life of the community” and that “the purpose of the persons taking part in the assembly is the intimidation of others with a view to compelling them not to do an act that they a right to do or to do an act they have a right not to do.”

China Human Rights Record Slammed

China’s record on human rights comes under scrutiny today as a Christian group joins pro-lifers outside the Chinese Embassy in Great Portland Street.
