The charges against two anti-abortion activists were struck down by a District Judge last Monday.
Pro-life campaigners Kathryn Sloane and Andrew Stephenson were put on trial last week before Brighton Magistrates Court for allegedly “obstructing police” when asked to take down pictures of aborted babies they were displaying outside a clinic in Brighton last year.
District Judge Nicholson declared that the campaigners, who are part of the group Abort67, were within their rights to resist the police since the police were acting illegally. (Read the Telegraph Report ‘Anti-abortion campaigners hail ‘free speech victory’ as trial collapses.’)
This has been a great victory for freedom, in addition to increasing public awareness of what actually goes on behind the closed walls of abortion clinics.

What goes on behind the “closed walls of abortion clinincs” ? Well abortions, obviously ! What did you think was happening there; car manufacture ?
And before the abortion, sales talk. And during the abortion, the taking for reward of innocent human life. And after the abortion, getting rid of human tissue, one way or another.

Pro-lifers are like a kid getting a puppy – they get all excited about the little foetus, then lose interest once it is born and ignore it and leave it for the grown ups to look after
Alannah McPherson, Your comment is a simple ad hominem attack and whilst not unusual for someone who defends killing unborn children, it helps to point that out.
Your “defence” of abortion is simply that pro-lifers aren’t prepared to take care of the children that other people want to kill. Please allow me to explain where your assertion falls flat on its face.
Firstly, let’s suppose you’re right, that pro-lifers are the most selfish, childlike creatures around and they just care for the embryo or foetus. Does that mean that killing that embryo or foetus is now a morally neutral act? Isn’t that like saying if you aren’t prepared to give employment to an ex-slave you have no right to oppose slavery?
Secondly it is patently untrue that pro-lifers are not willing to look after children who are unwanted by others. The abortion industry is a multi-million pound business yet they offer no meaningful help to women should they decide to go ahead with their pregnancy. How is it that we so often hear girls tell us as they enter these abortion kill-inics that they feel they have no choice?
But there are many crisis pregnancy centres around the country that are run by volunteers offering practical, emotional and spiritual assistance all at their own expense.
