  1. Dear Stephen
Spot on as usual. I was sent an article by Melanie Philips on Brexit (Ref below)
And now you reveal the last minute ditching of the intention to vote – the Lord
    is hearing our prayers!

In the meantime here is a prayer for Brexit. sent by a friend.

1 Tim 2:1 Heavenly Father I give thanks for our government.
1 Tim 2:2 I pray for all men and women having authority over us in any way.

Rev 2:5 Let this nation remember from where we have fallen,
Rev 2:5 repenting, and returning to doing our first works,
1 Chr 22:19 setting our hearts and souls to seek the Lord,

Heb 3:13 Soften the hearts that are hardened through the deceitfulness of sin.
Ps 107:20 Deliver them from their destructions.
2Pet 3:9 Father, you have been long-suffering towards us,
2 Pet 3:9 not willing that any should perish,
2 Pet 3:9 but that all should come to repentance.
Isa 49:22 Raise up a standard in this nation.
Zech 10:1 Cause the rains of Your Spirit to flood this land

My comment on Melanie Philips article:
It really cast light on the “sell out” that lies under the surface
    of this pseudo Brexit proposal.
Having seen how hostile and dishonourable the EU are towards the UK
my vote to leave would not change if we had another referendum.
“No deal” seems very acceptable, once you push past all the propaganda and misinformation threatening pending disasters if we do not go May’s Way.
Melanie Phillips article is well worth a read.

      Somebody knows her Bible!

  2. If things do turn out to be a bit shaky with no deal, surely it will because the Lord knows we need shaking and He has promised to shake all things that can be shaken. It will not be a bad thing because we will be cast upon Him,
and we are receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken. Hebrews 12:27-28

Please God, give us a No Deal!

OK, Heb 12:27-28 is written to believers. That’ll be individual believers or dare I say it a believing nation.
And that requires national repentance. It requires a prime minister who will re-dedicate the United Kingdom to the Lord and put our national trust in him.
But you see, men can go one of two ways. In the reign of Josiah:
2Chr 34:18 Then Shaphan the scribe told the king, saying, Hilkiah the priest hath given me a book. And Shaphan read it before the king.
They sought the Lord under an inspired leader and repented. And threw the sodomites out into the bargain!
But in Revelation, when the wrath fell, they did not repent. They hid:
      Rev 6:15 And the kings of the earth, and the great men, and the rich men, and the chief captains, and the mighty men, and every bondman, and every free man, hid themselves in the dens and in the rocks of the mountains;
Rev 6:16 And said to the mountains and rocks, Fall on us, and hide us from the face of him that sitteth on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb:
So our prayer, as always, is for the Queen’s ministers to repent, or for the Lord to replace them with men after his own heart.
In his mercy, the Lord could use this debacle to do just that. Or if his mind is for judgment, it could go the other way.
We had best remind him of his mercy, his faithfulness, his grace in giving the Ref 2016 result, and keep praying.
