PWC security staff inexplicably attempt to move us off the public highway outside the firm’s HQ near London Bridge

Two banks and the world’s biggest firm of accountants were on the receiving end of a witness against name-calling by homosexuals yesterday.

Price Waterhouse Cooper, known as ‘PWC’, Coutts and Barclays are all sponsoring awards for the annual Stonewall pro-sodomy awards dinner.  Barclays Bank are sponsoring the ‘sports award’, Coutts Bank are funding ‘writer of the year’ and PWC are sponsoring ‘hero of the year’

But not content with congratulating those who have advanced the homosexual cause, Stonewall also have a ‘bigot of the year’ award, just to insult and bully their opponents.

Christian Voice supporters started outside Coutts Bank at lunchtime, before moving to Barclays flagship branch in Piccadiily Circus and finishing at PWC for going-home time.

In fairness, our leaflets pointed out that Barclays have at least condemned the ‘bigot award’ as ‘beyond the pale’ which is more than Coutts or PWC have done.  Nevertheless, all three institutions compliment Stonewall on their work.

PWC’s front entrance off Tooley Street, SE1. Do its directors agree with Stonewall’s demands for gay marriage or not?

Whether that means the directors of PWC, Coutts and Barclays support ‘gay marriage’, Stonewall’s big new demand, and the consequent redefinition of marriage and it key concept of ‘consummation’, none of them have yet addressed.

Last year, Nationwide Building Society sponsored the whole awards dinner, but after being made of the ‘bigot’ award by Christian Voice, pulled out of any more financial involvement with the dinner (see links below).

Stephen Green, National Director of Christian Voice, commented today:

‘This was a very blessed time for us, and we pray that some of the 250 leaflets we handed out to the well-dressed employees of Coutts opposite Charing Cross Station and the 100 at Barclays have made people think about whether these banks’ relationship with Stonewall is a bit too close.

‘The security staff at Coutts and Barclays were dignified enough to stay inside and allow our witness to proceed uninterrupted.  The same could not be said of PWC, whose bouncers tried to have us moved on.  PWC has a back entrance in the private ‘More London’ complex, and its main entrance is in Abbey Street off Tooley Street near London Bridge Station.

Don’t cross the line! The division between the public highway in Tooley St and More London’s diagonal paving in Abbey St.

‘They came out to remonstrate and even called the ‘More London’ staff when we were on the public highway in Tooley Street.  Clearly we struck a nerve, but the PWC staff were more willing than the Coutts folk or the Barclays customers and passers-by to take our leaflets.  Four hundred were given out at PWC, a total for the day of 750.

‘We also had an encounter with the police when someone complained that the leaflets were insulting, abusive or threatening, along the lines of Section 5 of the Public Order ACt 1986.  However, the police office who attended told us he saw that we were calm and reasonable, not causing an obstruction, and that there was nothing in the leaflet that could cause a reasonable person alarm or distress.

‘The leaflets also nailed five key lies told by the sodomy lobby and carried the gospel of Jesus Christ.  All in all it was a very worthwhile exercise and we pray that our gracious God will open someone’s mind to the sad truth about homosexuality and turn at least one heart to the truth that Jesus Christ died to release everyone who belives in him from both the stain of sin and the power of sin.

‘May God be praised and glorified in the Lord Jesus’

We the undersigned believe that the homosexual Stonewall group’s ‘Bigot of the Year’ award is a shameless piece of bullying and name-calling.

We are aghast that Barclays Bank, Coutts Bank and Price Waterhouse Cooper (PWC) are named as sponsors of Stonewall’s awards dinner on the website page for this year’s event on 1st November, at which a public figure will be insulted and vilified as ‘bigot of the year’.

We call on Barclays Bank, Coutts Bank and PWC to stop sponsoring this aggressive, immature and divisive group forthwith.

The five lies told by homosexual activists nailed by the Christian Voice leaflets:

‘(1) Homosexuals claim to be 10% of the population on the basis of the dishonest Kinsey Report.  The true figure from proper academic research is around 1.5%.
‘(2) They claim they were born that way, refusing to accept the evidence of ‘ex-gay’ men and women who have turned their backs on the gay lifestyle and been released from their homosexual desires.
‘(3) They insist they just want to live their lives in peace, yet they hold intimidating gay pride parades and their paid activists campaign for laws to silence dissenting voices and force all of us to respect their immorality.
‘(4) They do all they can to avoid discussing the reality of their abusive, dangerous sexual practices, framing their arguments instead in terms of ‘human rights’.
‘(5) They pretend their lives are just the same as everyone else’s, despite academic studies revealing promiscuity levels and associated ill-health in the gay world unheard of even in today’s sex-obsessed heterosexual society.’

  1. I don’t think it really matters whether the directors of Barclays support gay marriage or not. What matters to the public is that they should run their bank properly, not fiddle the Libor, etc. The answer probably is that some do support gay marriage, some don’t. Some support Arsenal, some don’t. Some support Oxfam, some don’t. They are, however, bankers, and we depend on them to do banking properly and well.

    • You could say the same of Coutts and PWC.

As sodomy is corrupt, promoting it shows a lack of wisdom at best, and a corrupt corporate mind at worst. That lack of wisdom and/or corruption will filter down into Libor scandals and sharp practice elsewhere.

In addition, some people, not just Christians, will use the information above to take one or a mixture of two courses of action:

They might decide to take their business elsewhere, on the basis that they don’t see why their money should prop up the bullying, self-serving people at Stonewall, and/or

They might leave some money in Barclays or Coutts, or maintain a shareholding in Barclays or PWC, and use that position to take the directors to task.

      • Hi Stephen

Can I challenge you on your reasoning that as sodomy is corrupt, it can only by supported by people who lack wisdom / who have a corrupt mind and this will therefore filter down into Libor scandals and sharp practice?

On this reasoning, every non-Christian banker would be involved with Libor scandals and sharp practice, but God prevents this. Romans 1 says that every non-Christian has a corrupt mind because they do not give thanks to God nor glorify him as God. Sodomy is one symptom of this, but every one who does not glorify Jesus by believing the gospel has a corrupt mind. As a result, everyone is far more capable of evil deeds than they admit. However, God’s common and restraining grace means that not every non-Christian banker does get involved in Libor fixing, in fact many, in self-righteousness, will take pride in not engaging in sharp practice, including those who support and practice sodomy.

Please take this as an encouragement towards accuracy and soundness so that your posts are more effective.

        Your brother, Kevin

    • There is a massive difference between a choice of football team and supporting homo marriage. Football is, in itself, not sinful but homosexuality is. There are many sincere Christians who have a liking for one football team or other but no true Christian supports homosexual perversion.

      • Yes, but we’re talking about a bank here, not a Christian church. Bankers can be Christians or Atheists or Muslims as they choose, they can be heterosexuals or homosexuals as they choose, they can support the football team they choose. This is not relevant to their banking.

Nor can you insist that a Christian-defined sin makes people morally ineligible to be bankers. Not all the employees or all the customers are Christians, and their definitions of “sin” or an equivalent would be different in some cases: what is required for bank staff is financial probity, not abstinence from pork or from homosexuality or from drawing pictures of Mohammed.

        • On the contrary, peoples’ spiritual beliefs have a vast impact on how they live their lives and run their businesses! And what you speak of as a ‘Christian-defined sin’ is actually a God-defined sin, in other words, a sin. Morality is a seamless garment. You can’t expect financial rectitude from those promoting sodomy, as the financial history of gay pride events illustrates only too well. Financial probity will have to be imposed from outside on those whose internal moral standards are not up to the job. Which is largely where we are today with the seemingly never-ending banking scandals.

          • It is very difficult to be entirely happy about this. It seems that only Christians can be trusted to be bankers, or to run any business. I don’t think that is right, nor would it be the wish of most customers.

          • I should narrow it down even further. I am not impressed when someone claims to be a ‘Christian’. The criteria are these:
Exodus 18:21 Moreover thou shalt provide out of all the people able men, such as fear God, men of truth, hating covetousness; and place such over them, to be rulers of thousands, and rulers of hundreds, rulers of fifties, and rulers of tens:
We need able, God-fearing, non-covetous men of truth as bankers, captains of industry and political leaders.
And in their absence, we need ever tighter external controls to keep the wicked men in there right now in check.
But I repeat, anyone whose moral compass is so skewed that he cannot see that promoting sodomy is out of order and if he sees that does not have the backbone to stand up against it is (a) not a fit and proper person to be in charge of a whelk stall and (b) likely to make immoral or plain bizarre decisions in whatever position he finds himself.

  2. If we as Christians protest and say that homosexuality is a sin, we can be accused of committing a “hate crime.”

However, Jesus gave his life out of love for us all and that by proclaiming this Gospel we are demonstrating the love that took Jesus to the Cross allowing hetero-sexuals and homosexuals to come to HIM, repent of sin and become a new creature in Christ Jesus.

The Bible does not declare that only homosexuals have sinned but that ALL HAVE SINNED and through the sacrifice of Christ whosoever cometh to HIM and repents of sin, then none shall be turned away!

Banks must understand that they must keep the Constitutional Obligation as promised by our Monarch to God “to keep the laws of God”, these laws being clear in his Word over what is sin and what is not!

For banks and our nation to prosper once more we must return to the book our Monarch swore on in 1953 and return to being the Christian Nation we once where – with Bank Managers as pillars in local communities rather than computer and system obeying zombies they now have become – with rulers above them who care little for our nation’s Christian heritage.

Our banks have moved from being highly respected to the joke of our society simply because they have forgotten God, chased after mammon and its immorality curse that needs to be removed from our nation.

    The fight must go on!

    • You are so right to say that we all need to come to Christ, homosexuals included.

Only the other day I was in Canterbury passing out tracts and a man come over to me trying to sell double-glazing. When I offered him a Gospel leaflet he told me he was “Gay”. I was able to tell him that Jesus could change him and do a work in his life. To be fair, he wasn’t one of those militant “gays” but was actually quite respectful. Sadly he changed the subject and wanted to talk about double-glazing, but I trust that those words “Jesus can change you” will play on his conscience and that he will seek the Lord in his life.

  3. We have to remember here is that the reason why these institutions etc are in support of homosexuals and their so called cries for equal rights is because their directors etc are themselves either closet gay or are living bi-sexual lives. And I would go as far as to say that it wouldn’t surprise me that some member of parliament etc are also this way. And the reason I say this is because how on earth was this so called new law that opened the door for civil marriages etc was ever made law! We need to stop seeing the surface of this and look beyond what we see. Ask the Lord to open our eyes.

  4. Stonewall took its name from a series of sodomite riots in New York in 1969, the riots were a rebellion against Police enforcing the law and raiding a variety of sodomite premises where illegal and immoral sexual practices were being facilitated. This organisation was born out of violence and rebellion and continues to promote violence and rebellion. Beneath its media savvy fluffy pink image is a vile and bullying movement who hate and target those who are courageous enough to stand against them.

Great work with the tracts and witness at the corporate premises of Couts, Barclays and PWC.

Maybe you should also target the Quakers HQ in Euston as they also are actively campaigning for the legalisation of same sex marriage.
