Masai man herding sheep and cattle along the road.

This morning Judy and I travelled the 300 miles by train from Mombasa to Nairobi. (That’s the same as London to Ashington.) The train took six hours, but I could work on my laptop, at least in first class where we were. In case you think that was uber-posh, the fare was Ksh 4,500 each, that’s £28.50, less than London to Oxford standard class UK.

Swallows were hunting insects outside. It will be a couple of months before they think about migrating north to breed. People were growing sisal and maize, while the Masai were herding their goats, sheep and cattle along the way. There was not a deciduous tree in sight. The Equator passes through Kenya. Twice a year the noon-day sun passes directly overhead. This is the heart of the tropics.

Meeting with MP

We’ll value your prayers as we meet a senior member of parliament tomorrow in Nairobi. It’s a divine appointment.

On our agenda will be starting a prayer for parliament initiative. Please pray for that, of your kindness.

Above all, we are encouraging Kenyans to stand against Western evils, such as abortion, all shades of LGBT, easy divorce, CSE (UN-sponsored, even worse than UK-style RSE), climate fanaticism. You can stand with us:

Western money comes with strings

You would not believe how much money is flooding in from Western governments and foundations to local NGOs in Kenya for advocating and promoting Western evil. There is not a single one of those NGOs which is locally funded. Every single pro-LGBT, pro-CSE, pro-abortion, pro-‘green’ NGO in Africa, Asia and the Caribbean is funded from the West. There is of course little transparency over the funding.

On multiculturalism, at present big news in the UK, to say the least, at the coast (Mombasa) there is an uneasy tension. Muslims form around 41% of the population, but, as you might expect from the UK experience, they dominate political positions.

The Muslims are only kept in check by the forthright spirit-filled attitude of the bishops, pastors and born-again politicians, and the fact that Kenyan Christians heed the Bible’s command to ‘go forth and multiply’. The Muslims cannot outbreed us here!

So please pray for our affiliate, Kenya Christian Voice, as they seek to wake up the church to the challenges and the opportunities. As we are doing in the UK, of course.

We had the privilege of attending a committee meeting of KeCV yesterday (Saturday 12/01/24), which was a real blessing and an encouragement.

The brothers and sisters are together on the need to protect the youth from the insidious programme of pro-gay and pro-trans Comprehensive Sexuality Education sneaking in under the guise of ‘Sexual & Reproductive Health & Rights’, or preventing HIV & teenage pregnancies. It is UN-led, but comes from a multitude of foreign agencies, including Plan International. The team will be watching out for local programmes designed to browbeat teachers into corrupting the youth. They will be especially looking for the logos on SexEd materials. Help by signing our petition:

Uganda Outreach

The Uganda Martyrs memorial
The Uganda Martyrs memorial

God willing, we shall move to Uganda next week (20th to 24th Jan). Our local Uganda team, all volunteers, will be arranging TV & Radio, and we are waiting on the Lord for a meeting with MPs,

We’ll have similar intentions as with Kenya. In part because of the 1885/86 martyrs, when the king of Buganda executed 45 newly-converted Christian young men for refusing his sexual demands, Ugandans are even more firmly opposed to sodomy than Kenyans. Gay marriage? LGBT rights? Don’t even get them started. They see the spiritual dimension.

Finally, returning to Kenya, we have a conference arranged in Sondu, Kisumu/Kericho Co., for 25th/26th. Sondu is 300 miles from Nairobi in the opposite direction from Mombasa.

(Kenya is a big country. It enjoys more than twice the area of the UK [224,081 vs 94,354 sq miles], with a somewhat smaller population. Uganda is slightly smaller [93,264 sq miles] than the UK, with a smaller population than Kenya.)

The UK connection

Pro-gay, pro-abortion Andrew Mitchell MP pushed LGBT-rights at the Foreign Office.

And is there a UK connection to this trip which you can pray into? Yes, there is. In February 2024, under the Conservatives, the the UK Foreign Office instituted a £40m project to promote LGBT around the world. The Foreign Office website (FCDO) carried this boast: ‘The UK government has launched a new 5-year programme worth £40 million to advance the rights of LGBT+ people globally.’

The UK is a nation which needs repentance from its evils, a nation in whose midst are those worshiping a foreign god who are systematically as would an invading army, who are even tolerated and protected by its ruling class, whose leaders refuse to repent and return to the Living God, instead, exporting and promoting their death-wish abroad.

Need for prayer

Our leaders need your prayers for humility, for repentance, for wisdom from on high. And as we quietly, and under the covering and with the leading of the Holy Spirit, enable one nation at a time to stand against them in the power of the Gospel, we covet your prayers as well.

It is with your prayers, with your financial support, and by the grace of the Lord God of hosts, that the adversary of mankind will be put to flight.
