    Prayer will humble proud Tesco

    Boycott Tesco and email their Chief Executive. Remember: Every Little Helps!

    Or to put it more accurately, God will humble proud Tesco, in answer to prayer.

    As the Daily Mail has reported, retail giant Tesco have stopped sponsoring Cancer Research UK and switched their support to that annual display of aggression and depravity, London Gay Pride.  But the Bible says: When pride cometh, then cometh shame (Prov 11:2).

    Mr Richard Littlejohnsaid: ‘If gays want to dress up as Carmen Miranda or mince up and down The Mall in nothing but their knickers, that’s fine by me. But why would Britain’s biggest supermarket want to be associated with such an event, at the expense of cancer victims?’ 

    And this is on top of Tesco secretly selling halal lamb and chicken to unsuspecting shoppers.

    There are five important and effective things Christians can do:

    1 Pray that God will send repentance into the Tesco boardroom, and that they will reverse their grant to gay pride..

    2 Boycott Tesco and encourage others to do the same.

    3 Mount a witness with banners and/or give leaflets out to shoppers outside Tesco’s high street stores ‘Tesco Direct’ (they can throw you out of their car park, but you have every right to witness on the street).  Contact us for leaflets.  The text of the LEAFLET is HERE

    Aggressive and depraved - London Gay Pride

    Tesco’s spin centres on ‘diversity’ as an ‘inclusive store’ – they even have an ‘Out at Tesco’ webpage promoting sodomy amongst their employees and a page commending staff for taking part in the 2010 parade – and ignores the fact that Gay Pride is a provocative and aggressive display of indecency and perversion.  For all their posturing, would Tesco actually like a gay pride march through one of their stores?  And if they are really interested in diversity, will they be sponsoring the ex-gay movement?  Don’t hold your breath.

    If you can bear it, here is a video link of Soho Pride, part of the London set-up in 2008.  And it that was not enough, here is a video link showing just what the gentle, tolerant gays and their supporters think of those who disagree with them with music from someone called Lily Allen.  Thanks, Anglican Mainstream.

    Tesco have denied that sponsoring gay pride was at the expense of Cancer Research, but the facts are that Tesco’s support for the annual fundraising Race for Life, the UK’s largest women-only charity event, helped Cancer Research raise more than £400million for the fight against cancer since it began in 1994.

    Tesco announced it would be a headline sponsor of Pride London just days after ending their partnership with Cancer Research.  Tesco’s Head of Research and Development, a militant anti-Christian homosexual called Nick Lansley, lobbied hard for that decision. 

    Here at Christian Voice we have a soft spot for cancer charities ever since Maggies Centres courageously turned down tainted money from the blasphemous Jerry Springer the Opera in 2006 and were rewarded by making far more from the publicity around that decision than what they would have received from the show.  Why on earth should Tesco think that dumping a cancer charity to take up with Gay Pride is a clever (even a good commercial) decision?

    The militant atheist magazine Freethinker helpfully points out that the Co-op sponsor Manchester Gay Pride (as well as throwing Christian Voice out of their bank) and that ASDA’s parent Wal-Mart give benefits to gay partners of employees in the USA.  Unless ‘Christian fundies want to starve themselves’, they chuckle, ‘they better (sic) start thinking fast of joining the grow-your-own movement’.

    Well that’s a good idea in itself, but have they forgotten Sainsbury, not to mention your local shops?  In addition, as we pointed out in our video on the supermarkets and halal, if you want to be sure of avoiding halal-slaughtered fresh meat, just shop at M&S or Morrisons.

    Some words from Proverbs and from Mary on the subject of pride to inform your prayer.  Remind the Lord of his word as you pray:

    Prov 8:13  The fear of the LORD is to hate evil: pride, and arrogancy, and the evil way, and the froward mouth, do I hate.
    Prov 11:2  When pride cometh, then cometh shame: but with the lowly is wisdom.
    Prov 13:10  Only by pride cometh contention: but with the well advised is wisdom.
    Prov 14:3  In the mouth of the foolish is a rod of pride: but the lips of the wise shall preserve them.
    Prov 16:5  Every one that is proud in heart is an abomination to the LORD: though hand join in hand, he shall not be unpunished.
    Prov 16:18  Pride goeth before destruction, and an haughty spirit before a fall.
    Prov 29:23  A man’s pride shall bring him low: but honour shall uphold the humble in spirit.

    Luke 1:49 For he that is mighty hath done to me great things; and holy is his name. 50 And his mercy is on them that fear him from generation to generation. 51 He hath shewed strength with his arm; he hath scattered the proud in the imagination of their hearts. 52 He hath put down the mighty from their seats, and exalted them of low degree.

    Homosexuals hold sway in Ireland

    All the unsuspecting man did was write a column headed:

    ‘Loud and proud gays want to take over rest of society’

    Eamon Delaney said ‘Increasingly, it seems as if the homosexual community has forgotten that it is the minority’ with its demands for gay marriage, adoption, children’s birth certificates falsified to show two ‘mothers’ or two ‘fathers’, etc, etc.

    And it is as if the wrath of Juno has landed on his head.  The column, in the Irish Independent, attracted over 500 comments in a week, the vast bulk of them adverse.

    Just google ‘Eamon Delany gay’ and see how viral the whole thing went.  But some are standing up for him, with the Irish Iona Institute (not to be confused with a similar sounding body this side of the Irish Sea) among the best.

    This is in a country which did not even legalise sodomy until 1995.  Just sixteen years later and righteousness cannot even raise its voice, just like Lot in Sodom.  And look at what is happening in the UK.

    What a lesson to African and Caribbean countries to keep their anti-sodomy laws, as Shirley Richards has pointed out in a very articulate and well-researched article in the Jamaica Gleaner.

    If you let the camel get his nose inside the tent, pretty soon you have the unwelcome company of his backside.

    Stonewall ‘cowards’ call Melanie Phillips ‘Bigot of the Year’

    The respected journalist Melanie Phillips has been congratulated by Christian Voice on her award of ‘Bigot of the Year’ by the Stonewall homosexual lobby group.  But we have accused Stonewall of cowardice for not inviting any of those shortlisted to their awards dinner last night.

    Stephen Green, National Director of Christian Voice, was also shortlisted for the award for his comments about Elton John’s designer baby and for championing the right of African nations to keep sodomy as a criminal offence.

    The others shortlisted on the Stonewall website were the Rt Rev Arthur Roche, Scottish Section 28 campaigner Sir Brian Souter and Bill Walker MSP.  Not one of those shortlisted was actually invited to the awards ceremony and dinner, an omission described as a ‘grave discourtesy’ by Christian Voice.

    Stephen Green said today:

    ‘It was a great honour to be shortlisted for Stonewall’s ‘Bigot of the Year’ award and I am disappointed not to have won.  I really must put more effort into opposing the gay rights lobby before next year’s event.  All the same, I congratulate Melanie Phillips for her winning position of standing up for the right of children not to be abused by Stonewall-devised homosexual imagery in sex education.

    ‘Yesterday I described Stonewall’s failure to invite those shortlisted for such an important award as a grave discourtesy.  I expressed disappointment that a group which has, as I put it, “such lofty ideals as the promotion of buggery and gross indecency” should be so lacking in the fundamentals of social intercourse.

    ‘When any public body holds an awards ceremony, they invite those shortlisted for each award as a courtesy.  But ‘Bigot of the Year’ is not a serious award, it is merely an attempt by the homosexuals to bully and humiliate someone in public life.  Chris Grayling MP, Jan Moir and the Earl of Devon have been on the receiving end in previous years for imagined slights against homosexuals.

    ‘However, the last thing a bully wants is for their victim to stand up and give them a taste of their own medicine.  Stonewall don’t actually have the courage to invite those shortlisted for fear that the winner might tell the assembled gays a few home truths.  They daren’t risk that.  Like all bullies, they are cowards.

    ‘The Nationwide Building Society sponsor the Stonewall annual awards dinner, which does not stop the greedy gay group from charging those attending £180.00 a ticket.

    ‘The ‘Bigot’ award ought to be an embarrassment to them and that may be the reason why they don’t mention it when patting themselves on the back on their company website. 

    ‘I call on Nationwide to apologise to those whom Stonewall has accused of ‘bigotry’ or state that they approve of bullying and humiliating public figures and the cowardice of not allowing them to answer back.’

    Edmund Burke Would Not Be Pleased

    On this very day (4 November) in 1789, the Frenchman Charles-Jean-François Depont wrote to Edmund Burke MP, requesting that he endorse the Revolution that had just broken out in France.

    Burke’s response to Charles-Jean turned into one of the most celebrated political tracts in history, and for good reason. Not only did Burke’s Reflections on the Revolution in France become a pillar of conservative political thought, but it stands alongside the works of Shakespeare and the King James Bible as being the greatest literary achievement in the English language.

    Christian Voice did a biography of Edmund Burke in our January 2010 newsletter as part of our ongoing series of Christian heroes. (To join Christian Voice and receive our monthly newsletter, click HERE.) We explored Burke’s idea that true freedom can only be preserved by reverencing our ancestors. This is because liberty is not, according to Burke, a natural right of man but the product of tradition, family, and faith. As such, liberty is passed on in much the same way that property is transmitted, from one generation to another through inheritance.

    To support this notion of liberty as an inheritance, Burke pointed to the great freedoms of the British tradition, showing that they had accumulated over a period stretching back to the Declaration of Rights, the Magna Charta and the entire network of common law freedoms preserved by the hereditary monarchy. He warned that the legacy of these liberties would not long abide a generation that was willing to cast off the heritage of their ancestors. At the same time, however, Burke did not advocate a static traditionalism; rather, whenever he wished to reform, it was in order to conserve. He understood the wisdom of Proverbs when it says, “Remove not the ancient landmark, which thy fathers have set” (Prov. 22:28) and “My son, fear thou the LORD and the king: and meddle not with them that are given to change: For their calamity shall rise suddenly; and who knoweth the ruin of them both?” (Prov. 24:21-22)

    If Burke had lived long enough to see our own age, I do not think he would be pleased. We live at a time when the common law foundations that have been transmitted to us by our ancestors are under constant attack. Consider that

    • The previous Government discussed a blueprint for “sweep[ing] away centuries of tradition”  by turning the House of Lords into an elected chamber.
    • In the last part of the 20th century and early 21st century, Government pared down our Common Law freedoms at an astonishing rate, including the right not to be punished until a court has decided that the law has been broken, the right to private communication, the right to trial by jury, the right to silence, the right to demonstrate and protest, the right to travel without surveillance and the presumption of innocence. (See Robin Phillips’ article,  ‘The Orwellian Legacy of Tony Blair‘)
    • In 2008, the BBC reported that the Justice Secretary was considering replacing the British constitution with a written document like that possessed by the United States.
    • In April 2007, Parliament functionally nullified key aspects of the Magna Carta in order to meet the demands of homosexual activists. (See Scott Lively’s article ‘Requiem for the Magna Carta.‘)

    Edmund Bruke would not be pleased by these developments. In fact, in his critique of the revolutionary mentality, he warned against this very thing. He cautioned against overturning years of established precedent to meet the demands of the latest fad.

    Burke would also not be pleased by the way the present Government has taken it upon itself to challenge centuries of Common Law by suggesting that the rules regulating the succession of the British throne should be changed. (See our earlier article ‘Christian Voice Takes Stand For Male Primogeniture‘.) The campaign against male primogeniture is only one example of our leaders pandering to those who are “given to change” or attempting to remove “the ancient landmark” that Proverbs 22:28 enjoins us not to remove. Some translations refer to this as a ‘boundary stone’, bringing to mind the image of a person trying to increase his property through dishonest manipulation. However, more is at stake in this verse than mere property rights, a point made by Duane Garrett in his commentary on Proverbs:

    “To move a boundary stone was to attempt to seize land furtively. More is involved here, however, than real property. The boundary stone represented the ancient constitution of Israel, and to violate that heritage was to undermine the distinctive character of the land in Israelite society.

    In our day, no less than in ancient Israel, there are those who are attempting attempted to tamper with our Christian Constitution, and undermining the distinctive character of our land in the process. Let us join our voices with those of Burke in opposing such innovations.

    Commonwealth ignores gay rights

    Gay rights activists were left disappointed this weekend as the Commonwealth ignored their demands to legalise homosexual acts.

    The Commonwealth: Calls for gay rights fell flat

    Calls from Australia and Canada at the 2011 Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting in Perth, Western Australia, echoing William Hague’s earlier speech to the Commonwealth People’s Forum, were opposed by African, Asian and Caribbean nations.   Only Australia, Canada, New Zealand and the United Kingdom have enacted full gay rights.  India’s High Court legalised sodomy and gross indecency in 2009, and South Africa has legalised homosexual activity in line with their pro-gay constitution, but both have stopped way short of the kind of measures which have seen Christians targeted by homosexual activists in the United Kingdom.

    This positive outcome is a victory for righteousness and comes after Christian Voice organised a campaign of prayer throughout the Commonwealth.  Christian Voice also exposed Michael Kirby, the Australian delegate who put down the motion to legalise unnatural acts, as an obsessive homosexual.

    We give God the glory that David Cameron was left blustering on BBC’s Andrew Marr Show that he would use foreign aid to enforce his view, but admitting that any country’s position on gay rights was just ‘one of the things that will determine our aid policy’ and recognising that ‘they are in a different place to us on this issue’, suggested by Andrew Marr as ‘some sort of bizarre Western fetish’.  You can watch the interview until 5th November 2011.

    The reality is that Britain must get rid of its overseas aid budget somewhere.  If it refuses to give aid to those African and Caribbean nations which view sodomy with disgust, it is a bit stuck.  However, in the past it has used aid ‘creatively’ to support projects aimed at softening up populations to accept immorality and feminism.

    The Department for International Development is targeting its aid to fewer countries.  Its website says: ‘Our resources and impact will be concentrated on 27 countries which account for three quarters of global maternal mortality and nearly three quarters of global malaria deaths: Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Burma, Democratic Republic of Congo, Ethiopia, Ghana, India, Kenya, Kyrgyzstan, Liberia, Malawi, Mozambique, Nepal, Nigeria, Occupied Palestinian Territories, Pakistan, Rwanda, Sierra Leone, Somalia, South Africa, Sudan, Tajikistan,Tanzania, Uganda,Yemen, Zambia and Zimbabwe.’

    If International Development Secretary Andrew Mitchell takes out all the countries which criminalise sodomy, he will be left with Burma, the Congo, India, Kyrgyzstan, Nepal, South Africa and Tajikistan.  But even then, public displays of homosexuality are a cultural taboo in pretty well all of them.  Those committing homosexual acts in Congo, for example, are prosecuted under public decency laws.  So are the children of current British aid recipients going to be denied secure schooling, vaccination,  safe drinking water and improved sanitation?  Does Cameron want women to die in pregnancy and childbirth and newborn babies to die needlessly without British aid?

    Actually, African voices are beginning to voice the idea that foreign aid does more harm than good and if it is going to be attached to pro-gay strings the argument is made all the stronger.  A good argument is made that foreign aid is there to make our politicians look caring for their own political advantage.

    By a picture of a smirking Mitchell, the DfID website also says it wants to ‘help 10 million more women get access to modern family planning’.  Mitchell is one of the House of Commons’ most pro-gay and pro-abortion MPs.  As ‘modern family planning ‘ means abortion, and as the British Government is going to use foreign aid to campaign for that as well as for gay rights, these aid recipients are better off without it.

    Love and tolerance = hate and violence

    Legalising homosexual acts leads to a tyranny against those who disagree with gay rights, as shown in this shocking video showing violence from homosexuals against Christians on 13th Agust 2011 in Brisbane, Australia.

    Australians in Brisbane should have the fear of God after the floods which devastated it earlier this year, but here are gays flaunting their sin as Sodom and assaulting Christians preaching the Gospel.  Ironically, the homosexual rally against which the Christians were witnessing called for tolerance and was promoted by ‘Equal Love’.

    In the United Kingdom, we have had similar homosexual violence against Christians and we are now seeing persecution of Christians at work and in business in the name of ‘equality’ and ‘diversity’.

    The latest case in Britain involves housing manager Adrian Smith, demoted for not backing gay marriage.  Smith, a practising Christian, has had his pay slashed because he said on his private Facebook page that that allowing gay weddings in churches was ‘an equality too far’.

    Sodomy and gross indecency between men were only decriminalised in the United Kingdom in 2003, but already our public sector is awash with cases where Christians have been sacked for things like refusing to conduct ‘gay civil partnerships’, being unable to help gays with their sex lives or for not placing children to be adopted by homosexuals.

    British Catholic adoption agencies have been closed down by our ‘sexual orientation regulations’ and Christian public sector workers are now afraid to express any view against homosexuality.  The aggressive ‘gay lobby’ rules in Parliament, the Courts and Town Halls up and down the land, imposing its immorality on the rest of society.

    Two homosexual men even used Government money to sue Christian hoteliers who refused to give them a double bed – and won.

     We post this ahead of the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting this weekend (28th to 30th October 2011), and pray that African, caribbean and Asian Commonwealth nations will stand against the motion being moved by Australian homosexual activist Michael Kirby. 

    We call for compassion for all those caught in sexual sin.  The Church should be ministering the saving and healing grace of Jesus Christ to these unfortunate individuls.  Equally, human rights include no right to commit acts against nature.  The experience of the United Kingdom and Australia, to say nothing of the USA, shows what inevitably happens to those nations which legalise unnatural acts. 

     

    Commonwealth homosexual activist exposed

    Obsessive: Michael Kirby admiring a picture of himself

    The Australian delegate who is trying to pressurise African and Caribbean nations to decriminalise sodomy at the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting is an obsessive homosexual, Christian Voice has discovered.

    Michael Kirby, part of the Australian delegation and a retired Australian High Court judge, has been promoting homosexuality since he named one Johan van Vloten, a non-believer, as his ‘long-term partner’ in 1999. Despite claiming to be an Anglican, he has publicly attacked his own Archbishop of Sydney, called fellow Christians ‘God-botherers’ in a video on the TEDxSydney Youtube Channel, and denounced believers at the so-called ‘Parliament of the World’s Religions‘ in December 2009.

    He is an advocate of sex education based on promiscuity with condoms, thinks prostitutes are merely ‘sex workers’ and would force the legalisation of both prostitution and homosexuality world-wide.

    He has called for the State to apologise to homosexuals and for the Church to apologise for its ‘non-acceptance’ of homosexuality (but not, oddly enough, for its ‘non-acceptance’ of adultery, thieving and perjury).  For Kirby, mere tolerance for sodomy and its practitioners is not enough.  He demands acceptance, claiming, against the growing evidence of those released from homosexuality, that the science is ‘settled’ and that homosexuality is ‘genetic’, a position he must know that no geneticist actually accepts.

    As a practising homosexual, Kirby has made no end of speeches promoting the homosexual cause.  Some are listed on the SaltShakers webiste HERE.  He promotes homosexuality fanatically, in the UN and other world bodies like UNAIDS.

    In any other walk of life, someone who could not stop banging on about some aspect of his life would be regarded as a crushing bore.  But Kirby has been garlanded with awards and honorary degrees around the world.

    Now just because you are paranoid it does not mean they are not out to get you.  But for Kirby, anyone who disagrees with him in any way – is motivated by ‘hate’.  The reality is, he has no moral high ground from which to make such a charge.

    In 2006 Michael Kirby described fellow celebrity lawyer John Marsden, a drug-user and self-described promiscuous homosexual, glowingly as ‘a pioneer for openly gay people in the law’.  He went on to hail him as a ‘an example of courage … to homosexual people and other minorities in Australia’.

    Alfred Kinsey - exposed as a pervert, eulogised by Kirby

    Michael Kirby is astonishingly on the board of the Kinsey Institute and constantly eulogises Alfred Kinsey, a pervert who included prison inmates and paedophiles in his research, as well as sexual experiments done on children, to ‘prove’ his contention that 10% of the population were homosexual (the true figure, even in the decadent West, is around 1%) and that children could – and should – experience sexual pleasure.

    Nor does the fact that Kirby has a long-term partner mean that they have necessarliy been sexually faithful to each other.  We just don’t know.  But in the majority of homosexual couples, one or the other or both have sexual contacts outside their relationship.  Fidelity is not a concept which has any relevance in homosexual life.

    The founder of Liberty Chrisitian Ministries, Christopher Keane, in his testimony ‘Choices’, has said that:

    in the many years that he lived the gay lifestyle, truly monogamous gay relationships are all but impossible, and that those relationships which he encountered that had a semblance of monogamy were very often a facade.  Many in those relationships were sleeping around behind their partners’ backs; or there was an arrangement where both partners agreed to stay together while ‘permitting’ the other partner to have sex on the side. 

    Kirby says it is ‘ridulous and wicked’ to deny homosexuals the right to marry.  On the contrary, it is ‘ridulous and wicked’ to allow it.  Wicked because it flies in the face of the ordinance of Almighty God, endorsed by the Lord Jesus, that marriage is between one man and one woman.  Ridiculous because a marriage must be consumated in law to be valid.  How can a pair of homosexuals, lacking between them the complementary parts of the anatomy necessary for such an act of sexual intercourse, possibly do that?

    Kirby pretends that African attitudes to homosexuality were introduced by colonialists.  The truth is that homosexuality and other sexual immorality has been contrary to African attitudes for generations.  The irony is, Kirby’s motion at the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting in October 2011 is a shameless attempt at neo-colonialism, where rich white nations use threats of withdrawal of foreign aid to browbeat those less wealthy than themselves.

    Motions at the Commonwealth meetings are only passed if they are agreed by consensus.  If the African, Caribbean and Asian Commonwealth nations stand together for truth and morality, Kirby’s self-serving motion will deservedly fail.

    Christian School Hit by Homosexual ‘Hate Crime’

    American homosexual activists have taken their agenda to a new level of ‘domestic terrorism’ with acts of vandalism against Christian Liberty Academy in Arlington Heights, Illinois.

    The violence, which resulted in damaged doors and windows having to be boarded up, occurred on the morning of 15 October, the day the school had scheduled a talk from Dr Scott Lively, author of The Pink Swastika: Homosexuality and the Nazi Party.

    Dr Lively’s speech, sponsored by the Naperville-based organization, Americans for Truth Against Homosexuality, proceeded as planned.

    One of the pieces of concrete thrown through the window had a note attached to it that read: “This is just a sample of what we will do if you don’t shut down Scott Lively and AFTAH … Quit the homophobic (expletive)!”

    Other bricks had the words ‘Shut down Lively’ written on them in addition to obscene phrases.
    Hours after the attack an email was sent to AFTAH President Peter LaBarbera by someone claiming responsibility for the crime and threatening more violence against the school. It read:

    ‘In the early morning hours of October 15th, we put two chunks of concrete through the glass windows and doors of the Christian Liberty Academy…. We did this because at 6 p.m. today they will be hosting an event organized by the homophobic hate group Americans For Truth About Homosexuality, that [sic] will be presenting an award to Scott Lively.”

    ‘These chunks of concrete were thrown through these windows and doors for two reasons: to show that there is a consequence for hatred and homophobia in our community and to directly cause this event to be shut down. If this event is not shut down, and the homophobic day trainings do not end, the Christian Liberty Academy will continue to be under constant attack.”

    Peter LaBarbera, head of AFTAH, commented that if the vandalism had been against a pro-gay group there would have been a hate crime probe.

    “We see the homosexual agenda is becoming so arrogant in its growing power,” LaBarbera commented, “but we’ve never seen this before, what we would call ‘homofascism’ being raised to the level of domestic terrorism.”

    “A lot of Christians cower in fear before the power and influence of the homosexual lobby. It’s not helpful. If you demonstrate you can be intimidated, you reward the bully. The ‘gay’ bully has been rewarded enough times, so many times they think they can get their way. We hope more churches will refuse to be bullied and will stand up to tell the truth about the homosexual agenda.”

    His words were echoed by Dr Lively who said, “I don’t want to be overly dramatic, but I believe this incident may represent a turning point in the culture war. The claim of responsibility and threat of future violence by the ‘gay’ militants, ala Islamist terrorists, is unprecedented.”

    Dr Lively, the author of five books and president of the California-based Abiding Truth Ministries, has long been an object of hatred among militant homosexualualists.

    PRAY: Thank the Lord for the courage demonstrated by Dr Lively and the AFTAH. Calvin Lindstrom, pastor of Christian Liberty, was asked how the church was responding to the attack, and he answered, “In prayer. The Lord is our ultimate defender, and we trust the Lord will give us safety and will bring whoever did this to justice.” Their example is worthy for us to follow. May we also turn immediately to God in prayer when faced with troubles.

    Do African nations really need gay pride marches? This sad and depraved scene took place in London.

    CANBERRA, Australia — An official says leaders of former British Empire countries will be asked next weekend to legalize homosexuality.

    Australian delegate Michael Kirby told Australian Broadcasting Corporation radio yesterday that the agenda includes a recommendation to legalize homosexuality.  Kirby claims countries have a difficult time educating populations about safe sex while also banning ‘gay sex’.

    Leaders of 53 Commonwealth countries will meet in the Australian city of Perth over the weekend of 28th to 30th October 2011 for the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting.  As motions are determined by consensus, the Australian initiative will most likely get nowhere, but it is part of the pressure being exerted by the white donor nations on those they regard as less ‘enlightened’.

    Australian activist Rob Lake says most Commonwealth countries outlaw homosexuality and the response to the recommendation would ‘test their human rights commitment’.

    The truth about HIV/AIDS

    Firstly, Kirby’s claim is both self-serving and contradictory.  For years sodomy advocates have told the rest of us that HIV/AIDS is not a ‘gay disease’ and did not predominantly affect the homosexual network.  Now Kirby admits that it does.  So what is the truth?

    In fact, HIV/AIDS is a bloodbourne disease which needs to get into the bloodstream direct or through an open wound.

    So, firstly, the rectum is easily torn during sodomy, and the rectal wall is only one cell thick.  It is perfectly designed to extract water from bodily waste, so viruses of all sorts can be absorbed straight into the blood-stream during the unnatural act of sodomy.

    Secondly, if sexually-transmitted diseases go untreated, they can leave lesions through which HIV can travel during normal sexual intercourse. Thirdly, reuse of hypodermic needles following inadequate sterilisation can transmit HIV in some countries’ medical establishments.  Chastity before marriage, faithfulness in marriage and good medical practice, which may need better funding, are much more effective than condoms in stopping HIV/AIDS.

    Legalising homosexual acts will increase gay tourism

    Legalising sodomy would only make matters worse, and will also lead to more of the horrors of gay tourism which already corrupt children in parts of Africa, the Caribbean and Asia.  Despite what Mr Lake and other ‘health’ and ‘human rights’ activists say, there is no human right to commit unnatural sexual acts in any human rights document.  Homosexual attraction is not inbuilt.  Both men and women have been released from it.

    Let us look at the countries leading the pro-sodomy charge.  In Australia, the Sydney ‘Mardi Gras‘ has, according to its website, been taken up with enthusiasm by the city.  It, like every Mardi Gras and Gay Pride everywhere in the world, is an annual display of Western depravity and obscenity.

    The UK hosts numerous homosexual events and promotes sodomy to school-children as young as five.  Every political party is now in favour of gay rights, none more so than the one headed by David Cameron, our ‘Conservative’ Prime Minister, who is so obsessed by homosexuality he wants homosexuals to be allowed to get ‘married‘ and has threatened African nations that he will withdraw foreign aid unless they legalise the Western vice of sodomy.

    Cameron’s proposals have led to a Petition to Defend Marriage, and a Christian Voice campaign to Save Africa from Sodomy, which includes a seperate Petition on the subject linked to a hard-hitting video.

    Call to resist Western depravity

    ‘Those Commonwealth nations who still respect morality and the sovereignty of Almighty God have to stand together against the cultural imperialism of rich white countries.   Britain, Australia, Canada and New Zealand still have a colonialist mindset in which the white man knows best.  Well perhaps Britain and the rest, where immorality in public policy is leading to a breakdown of society and even to violence on the streets, need to take some lessons in decency and respect from African, Caribbean and Asian nations.

    ‘I live in a country which has been rushing along a godless road to destruction for the past fifty years.  Britain legalised sodomy, abortion, divorce-on-demand and pornography in the 1960s.  Today Britain is described as brutal and broken even by leading politicians like David Cameron himself.

    ‘The nation which took the Gospel around the world is now intent on exporting our peculiar brand of wickedness.

    ‘Our experience in Britain shows that legalising sodomy leads to full gay rights, recognised homosexual partnerships and then ‘gay weddings’, hate crimes laws designed to prevent pastors speaking the truth about human sexuality, and an aggressive homosexual lobby which allows no dissent in political parties or in the corridors of power.

    ‘In Britain, it has led to hoteliers being forced to let rooms to pairs of homosexuals and forced those who oppose sodomy out of public-sector jobs.  Ours is a society going to a libertarian hell on earth where the rights of people to practice their Christian faith are openly trampled on.

    Christian Voice Takes Stand For Male Primogeniture

    News that David Cameron is supporting changes to the laws regulating the crown’s succession was met with a firestorm of protest by lobby group, Christian Voice.

    The activist organization claimed that the current laws, which give preference to firstborn males, are rooted in the Bible and cannot be changed without seriously compromising the integrity of the monarchy.

    In a public announcement on 18 October, Christian Voice pledged to take all possible action to block the proposed changes, which seek to amend the 1701 Act of Settlement.

    The group also said that they were putting together a Parliamentary Briefing Paper outlining the legal and scriptural reasons for maintaining the current rules.

    The present laws of succession, rooted in traditions going back at least to the time of the Norman invasion, were condemned by David Cameron last week as ‘an anomaly’ that allegedly helps to ‘enshrine male superiority.’

    Although the previous Labour government supported a change to the rules, it was not until the lead-up to the wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton that the issue was again thrust into the national limelight. Policy makers began to point out that if the royal couple’s first-born child happens to be female, it would be unfair to deprive her of the throne. Leicester East MP Keith Vaz even went so far as to argue that the present rules constitute a case of ‘sex discrimination.’

    Robin Phillips, press secretary for Christian Voice, commented today, “Fairness isn’t the pertinent issue here. An hereditary monarchy is already about as unfair as you can get. If we were to alter the succession rules in order to not ‘discriminate’ against firstborn females, then it would be hard to answer those who are using similar arguments to suggest that the monarchy should be completely abandoned. A representative of the anti-monarchy group Republic recently wrote me saying, ‘once we concede the principle that the throne should be open to women, the debate will raise a lot more questions: why not a second born daughter? Why not someone else’s daughter? So, we are looking forward to this debate to enable us to highlight the unfairness of the hereditary principle in and of itself.’ If we begin pandering to the idol of equality and political correctness, we may find that we have inadvertently unlocked a Pandora’s box that can only culminate in ceding ground to those republicans who wish to dissolve the monarchy completely.”

    Phillips pointed out that “Critics of male-preference primogeniture often speak about it as a simple matter of getting the Commonwealth countries to agree to amend the Act of Settlement. What they normally fail to take into account is that the Act of Settlement was only legal in the first place because it was rooted in centuries of English common law. Tampering with the common law in order to meet the demands of political correctness is something that William Blackstone warned against back in the 1760s when he wrote his Commentaries on the Laws of England.”

    When asked about the Queen having ‘let it be known’ that she supports such a change, Mr Phillips replied, “Her Majesty the Queen is certainly free to support the present proposals if she so desires. However, we must not forget that her fundamental obligation remains to be ‘ever mindful of the Law and the Gospel of God as the Rule for the whole life and government of Christian Princes.’ Her primary responsibility as our sovereign is to conform the monarchy to the standards of God’s laws. We will be arguing in our briefing paper that scripture supports male preference primogeniture and we trust that Her Majesty the Queen will take our arguments seriously.”

    The Prime Minister will raise the issue for discussion at the Commonwealth Heads of Government meeting later this month. If his proposals are eventually implemented, then a first-born daughter of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge could become Queen.

    Evangelism opportunity at Anglesey Mardi Gras

    Beaumaris on a typical Welsh morning!

    PLANS to stage next year’s North Wales Mardi Gras in an Anglesey town have been rightly attacked by the leader of a local church, according to the Holyhead and Anglesey Mail.

    Reverend Philip Evans, of Oasis Ministries in Beaumaris, said the event should not be held in the town as it was “a promotion of gay rights”.

    The organiser of the Mardi Gras, Alan Jones, responded: “The church has a right to object to the Mardi Gras and we respect their right to peaceful protest, but we will carry on regardless.  We won’t be put off and we won’t be upset by the criticism.  We will welcome them if they want to attend and will treat them civilly.”

     

    Gay parades are aggressive and intimidating

    That would be a first.

    “The event does not promote homosexuality,” claimed Mr Jones, “It’s an event for everyone which brings the gay community and the straight community together.”

    That would be another first.  Every Gay Pride and homosexual Mardi Gras is there to promote homosexuality and gay rights and to intimidate and de-sensitize ordinary people.  The pictures on this page are of other ‘Pride’ or ‘Mardi Gras’ events in England and Wales.

    The event, said the paper, is planned to take place from 27th to 29th April, 2012.  For more information, they advised to visit www.northwalesmardigras.com which carries thanks to various ‘drag queens’ with indecent names and to two Anglesey hotels, Tre-Ysgawen Hall at Capel Coch, Llangefni, and the Victoria Hotel at Menai Bridge.  If the webpage is correct, these are venues to be avoided by decent people.

    Parading their sin - You would need a heart of stone not to weep for the poor souls caught up in sodomy.

    Mr Evans is intending to lead an evangelistic witness at the Beaumaris Mardi Gras, if it goes ahead: “We think the best thing is for it not to take place, but we want to be there if it does,” he said. “Homosexuality is a choice people make and people can change.  God would help them to be as He intended them to be.”

    Christian Voice fully intends to stand with Mr Evans in a concerted evangelistic outreach and witness.  Last April 2011, tucked away in the Mona Showground, the participants were isolated from any criticism or evangelism.  Next year, the narrow streets of Beaumaris are perfect for preaching and one-to-one conversations, so we can share the good news of Jesus Christ, and let these sad and damaged people know that Jesus releases not just from the stain of sin but from the power of sin.  Make a note of the date, all you evangelists out there!

     

    Defend Marriage Petition

     A petition to defend marriage is now up-and-running.

    The text is simple:

    ‘We the undersigned believe that marriage was ordained by God to be the union of one man and one woman and that marriage between two persons of the same sex can not and should not be legalised by any earthly government.’

    The UK Government has signalled its intention to legalise gay marriage so this matter is urgent and signing the petition is one vital way of standing up for Christ.

    Carry on Preaching, say police

     After an initial flurry in which two intellectually-challenged policemen from the Lancashire Constabulary told the owner of a Christian cafe in Blackpool that displaying this Bible texts was a breach of public order laws, the police have now apologised.

    Jamie Murray, the owner of the Salt and Light coffeehouse, uses a set of DVDs that display the words of the New Testament on a screen on the cafe’s back wall.

    Apparently, two officers from Lancashire Constabulary told Mr Murray that a member of the public had complained about ‘homophobic material’ and sid he was in breach of section 5 of the Public Order Act 1986.

    The police, as the Christian Institute pointed out, ‘got the law wrong’. The cafe can carry on displaying the word of God. There is no need, as some are arguing, for a change in the law to remove the word ‘insulting’ from the Public Order Act.  Atheists are certainly in favour of such a change because of the embarrassment they feel in the face of each new episode of anti-Christian police persecution.

    But as Ann Widdecombe has pointed out, in every case the police have had to back down and pay compensation to those falsely arrested or charged.

    With all the pressures from secularists are and the government to legalise gay marriage, the demands of our time in the fields of abortion and sex education, but a continued threat of civil action against Christian hoteliers, surely we have more important things to concern us.

    The police are slow learners, but there will come a time when the lowliest officer on the beat actually knows the law and the judgement of thank you Lord Justice Sedley in the case of Alison Redmond-Bate (1999).

    The message is clear: ‘Carry on Preaching’!

    … not to cry – or is it not to laugh?

    As the Government announces its intention to legislate a lie and allow two men or two women to ‘marry’, here are two of the most ludicrous recent civil partnerships which are already bringing marriage into disrepute.

    The first is the Star-Trek-themed bash in Swansea where two middle-aged women, one of whom accompanied by her two young sons, became ‘civil partners’.  In other words, at least one of the pair was a fully-functioning heterosexual before deciding to be a lesbian.

    The Daily Mail, in all seriousness, reported: ‘46-year-old Anita’s children threw themselves into looking good for their mother’s big day.’  Now either Anita was one of the one-in-six adults currently living in sin, or she was married, in which latter case, she would have had a rather more Godly ‘big day’ before these two boys were born.

    The second is the civil partnership between two male-female transsexuals in Cambridge, one of whom served as mayor of the City and the other as his consort.

    The Cambridge News reported:  ‘The ceremony at Shire Hall only took a few minutes and was attended by two witnesses who threw confetti over the happy couple.

    ‘Antoinette Jackson, chief executive of the city council, said: “Jenny and Jennifer had a great year when they were mayor and mayoress, and we’d like to wish them all the best on their happy day.” ‘

     

    Gay marriage proposal overturns reality

    Gay 'blessing tent' at Cardiff Mardi Gras

    We have become accustomed to gay rights taking precedence over the right to express the Christian faith.  Whether you are a counsellor like Gary McFarlane, or Christian hoteliers like Peter and Hazelmary Bull, or a registrar like Lilian Ladele, you will find that the law no longer upholds the Christian faith when it runs up against the new legal steamroller of homosexual equality.

    But now gay rights is about to over-rule reality.  Equalities minister Lynne Featherstone MP announced in the safety of the Liberal Democrat 2011 annual conference that pairs of homosexuals will be able to enter into a marriage.  A consultation on the mechanics but not the principle will begin in March 2012.  The proviso that they will only be able to ‘marry’ at a registry office and not in church is carefully designed to silence opposition from the mainstream denominations – and also from Muslims.

    Christians must still oppose this measure and point out the enormity of what is being done.  Human Society has understood marriage to be the union of a man and a woman for 6,000 years.  With the exception of the decadent West, it is still understood like that all over the world.  What the Government is proposing is a seismic shift in the definition of marriage. 

     

    It is easy enough to demonstrate the absurdities of the idea.  Are two men both going to be ‘bridegrooms’?  Lesbian couples often call each other ‘brides’ as in ‘the brides wore matching dresses’ or ‘one of the brides wore a dress and the other a tuxedo.’  We recently reported on two of the more ludicrous recent civil partnerships.  And when they are married, will one call him/her-self the ‘husband’ and describe the other as his / her wife?  Or will they both be ‘husbands’ or both ‘wives’?  Or will they risk an epidemic of nausea by each pretending to be ‘the spouse’ of the other?

    Are the Government seriously expecting these sham marriages to be recognised as the real thing when the parties travel overseas?   And what of civil partnerships?  Are they to be abandoned or retained?

    The deputy prime minister and leader of the Liberal Democrats Nick Clegg wrote: “I support gay marriage. Love is the same, straight or gay, so the civil institution should be the same, too. All couples should be able to make that commitment to one another.”

    But love is not the same, Nick.  The love you have for your wife is expressed sexually.  The love you have for your brothers and sisters is not.  Homosexuals eroticise a love which should be platonic.  This is usually because of unmet needs in childhood, by a lack of affirmation from the parent of the same sex as a man or as a woman.  It is not pathological to be emotionally a nine-year old at the age of nine.  It is at the age of twenty-nine.

    Homosexuals need understanding, and they need healing for the underlying pathologies.  That healing may come from the psychiatric profession, but now that most of them have gone like dead fish with the politically-correct flow, the gap should be filled by the Church, ministering the saving and healing power of Jesus Christ.  However someone became gay, they do not have to stay gay.  That is a choice.

    Where this is headed is anyone’s guess.  Nine years ago, 41% of Scots agreed with gay marriage.  That displays a shocking enough lack of connection with the reality of life.

    But today, after just five years of civil partnerships being conducted in the UK, including in Scotland, that figure has risen to 61% in favour.  If public opinion can be swayed like that by a new law combined with the preaching of politicians and the media, how long will it be until all but a remnant in Scotland, and in the UK for that matter, are in favour of enshrining in law what God describes as an abomination and of overturning the natural created order?  On a dispassionate reading, Sodom was like that.  And can a Sodom-esque clamp-down on the freedom of speech of those who disagree be far behind?

    The Lord Jesus Christ said (in Mark 10:6-8) that from the beginning of the creation God made us male and female and that is why a man leaves his father and mother to cleave to his wife.

    So (1) Jesus believed in creation not in evolution,

    (2) He spoke of some kind of marital ceremony in which the wider society is approvingly involved and

    (3) He then said ‘they twain shall be one flesh’ and reinforced the point ‘so then they are no more twain, but one flesh’.
    And being one flesh is something a pair of homosexuals, two men or two women, can never be.  Between them they physically lack the complementary parts of the body necessary for that God-ordained one-flesh union, and their lack of physical complementarity speaks of a lack of emotional compatibility as well.  The author and physician David Reuben said ‘homosexuals are trying to solve the puzzle with only half the pieces.’

    Given that a marriage has to be consumated to be valid in law, how are two people who do not possess between them the full set of parts of the anatomy necessary for such an act supposed to do that?  Or will that requirement be thrown away?

    None of these arguments will make any difference to the Governments’ gay rights juggernaut.  Facts don’t matter in a post-modern society.  But Christians have the right, indeed the duty, to witness to the truth in season and out of season, (and it is very much out of season right now).

    PRAY: For this nation to wake up and come to its senses.  For righteousness in the Queen’s ministers or for them to be replaced with men after God’s heart.  For compassion and healing for those suffering from same-sex attraction.  We have no power or might against the forces of the gay rights lobby in government and the media, but our eyes are on the Lord of heaven and earth who can send a miracle to a praying, believing, active people.

    Paedophiles ‘not sick’, say academics

    No attempt is made to restrict the age of those attending homosexual events, not even on the Crimestoppers stall at the Cardiff 'Mardi Gras'

    A pro-paedophilia group and several academics have launched an offensive for the normalization and legalization of paedophilia in America.

    On August 17 of this year, the pro-paedophilia group B4U-ACT sponsored an event in Baltimore, USA, attended by researchers, professors, mental health professionals, and “minor-attracted persons” (MAP, a euphemism for “adults who crave sex with children”).

    Chris Banescu, who reported on the event, says:
    ‘Referring to Judeo-Christian moral principles and values as “cultural baggage of wrongfulness” and an adult’s desire to sexually molest a child as “normative,” these predators with Ph.D.s are hell-bent on destroying key moral boundaries and critical societal norms that protect innocent children from pathological and dangerous adults.’

    The individuals, who included academics from Johns Hopkins University, Albert Einstein College of Medicine, Harvard Medical School, and the London School of Economics, consider adult molestation of children not as a sexual perversion but as normal.

    Among the statements made and positions taken at the conference were these:
    •”We are not required to interfere with or inhibit our child’s sexuality.”
    •”Children are not inherently unable to consent” to sex with an adult.
    •An adult’s desire to have sex with children is “normative.”

    Banescu says those present already ‘advocate for the declassification of pedophilia as a mental illness by the American Psychiatric Association (APA).’

    In the early 1970s, Peter Tatchell, who contributed to the British paedophile campaigning book ‘Betrayal of Youth’, and other homosexuals, put political pressure on the APA to declassify homosexual attraction as a psychiatric disorder.  They brought no evidence, but turned up remorselessly to disrupt meetings and browbeat APA officials until the Association gave in.

    Forty years later, the same slippery slope has descended to pressure for the declassification of paedophilia from the APA’s Diagnostic and Statistical Manual. After all, Jacob Breslow, Graduate Student in Gender Research at the LSE, in the paper he presented at the Baltimore meeting, said: Allowing for a form of non-diagnosable minor attraction is exciting (and) a step that follows historically and theoretically from the removal of homosexuality (from the DSM) .  Abstracts Here.

    September 15, 2011 (LifeSiteNews.com) – Homosexual activists are pressuring PayPal to cut off the accounts of pro-family Christian organizations that oppose the homosexual political agenda and uphold sexual morality, and PayPal is showing signs that it may capitulate to their demands.

    The homosexual organization behind the effort, All Out, claims that such organizations as Tradition, Family, and Property, and Americans for Truth About Homosexuality (AFTAH), as well as pro-family Christian activist Julio Severo, promote “hate, violence, and intolerance” and are “extremist.”

    “Thanks to PayPal, its (sic) easier than ever to send and receive money across currencies and continents – but it is also PayPal’s responsibility to make sure this technology doesn’t fall in the wrong hands. Anti-LGBT extremists all over the world are currently using PayPal to fundraise for their dangerous cause,” writes All Out.   “Not only is it against PayPal’s rules to promote promote ‘hate, violence, [and] racial intolerance,’ hate groups also damage PayPal’s brand and credibility. We ask that PayPal join the fight against online hate and immediately shut down the accounts of anti-LGBT extremist groups using the service.”

    All Out says that is has collected almost 35,000 signatures on its online petition.

    According to the European homosexual news service PinkNews, PayPal has responded by stating, “We take very seriously any cases where a user has incited hatred, violence or intolerance because of a person’s sexual orientation.”
    Although it adds, “we also take into account the rights of free speech and freedom of religion,” PayPal reportedly goes on to note, “we regularly review organisations and websites that use our service, and stop working with those that break our Acceptable Use Policy.”

    LifeSiteNews.com has created its own online petition at the website ProFamilyFreedom.net, which states: “I protest the attack by homosexual organizations on Christian activists Julio Severo, Americans for Truth About Homosexualty (AFTAH), and Tradition, Family, and Property (TFP). I encourage PayPal to affirm the right of pro-family organizations to use its service and to reject attacks on the Christian faith and other religions that uphold sexual morality and defend family values.”

    The campaign has originated in the US, but could easily transfer this side of the water.  Please sign the petition to stand up for religious values, conscience and free speech.

    Rain on Time At Cardiff Mardi Gras

    We held a worthwhile witness at the Cardiff Mardi Gras on Saturday 3rd September 2011.  Though we were few, we were a happy few, a band of brothers, and those who were not there will feel themselves, if not accursed, at least having missed an opportunity.  But thank you to all those who were praying; and those who prayed for rain, as I did, can feel especially blessed – the rain arrived just as we finished the witness.

    We gave out around 1,000 leaflets explaining that through the saving and healing grace of Jesus Christ it is possible to walk away from the homosexual lifestyle and homosexual desires.

    But in response to Christ’s question: ‘Wilt thou be made whole?’ (John 5:6) so many chose to say, ‘No, thanks, I’m fine as I am.’  Even the testimony of Peter, who left the homosexual life by the power of the Gospel, could not convince them.  In an age when we are supposed to listen to one another’s ‘stories’ his story was one they simply refused to hear.

    Isopropyl Nitrite drugs, known as ‘poppers’, which are supposed to offer sexual enhancement, were openly on sale outside the venue.  There is an obsession with sexual activity in the homosexual network, and poppers are commonly sniffed, despite their bland description as ‘room odourisers’.

    Our leaflets were deemed such a threat that after an hour, the organisers sent out stewards to persuade people to bin them rather than read them.  Clearly there is a limit on how open-minded those attending Cardiff Mardi Gras are allowed to be.  Undaunted, we switched to sharing the Gospel and had some good conversations.  One young lady decided to sing two lines from Tom Robinson’s song ‘Sing if you’re glad to be gay’ continuously for around an hour in an attempt to put us off, in which quest she failed.  We had to admire the staying power of her vocal chords, even if the musicality was less than wonderful.  No-one else appeared as glad as she was, so she sang alone.  Ironically, Tom, who wrote the song as a homosexual, decided he would be gladder still heterosexual, and he is now married with two children.

    What was rather disturbing was that the age of teenagers coming along seems to be decreasing and their numbers increasing.  The Government’s school sex education in its ‘relationships’ guise is now overwhelmingly pro-gay, and parents seem to lack the moral courage to stand up to it.  It is well established that young people can go through a adolescent pseudo-homosexual phase.  The overwhelming majority grow out of it, but if it is reinforced by an affirmative message from the authorities, it can become cemented in place and hard to shake off.  ‘Never label yourself as “gay”‘ was the message we had for these young people.

    We caught a camp gay activist telling a group of very young children, probably 11 or 12, that 10% of the population are gay, so we stood up to him.  How dare he lie to them like that?  Alfred Kinsey only achieved that figure by including sexual perverts and criminals, including paedophiles, in his surveys.

    The true figure, discovered in the NATSAL Survey in Britain and in the Smith study in Chicago, is around 1%, slightly more for men, and slightly less for women, but the number of people in the UK population reporting a same-sex encounter in the last five years has more than doubled from 1% to 2.6% from 1990 to 2000.  The number of currently active homosexuals will be fewer, and NATSAL 2000 found about 1 per cent of 16–24-year-olds had had one or more new same sex partners in the previous year.

    As shattered familes and sexual abuse are classic features of most gay life stories, and in the face of relentless promotion of homosexuality by the media and our political elite, don’t be expecting that 1% figure to drop any time soon.

    PRAY: Thank God for protection at the Cardiff Mardi Gras and for this opportunity to witness and evangelise.  Pray that someone has taken a leaflet or heard a word that will lead to them finding salvation and healing at the foot of the Cross of Jesus Christ.  The sower went forth to sow.  And even if no seed found fertile ground this time, please pray that at the very least we may have turned over the soil, allowed some light in, for someone else to sow the seed of faith in the future.

    This is a leaflet for intelligent, open-minded people, exploring the spiritual side of human sexuality.
    There can be no doubt about it, spirituality and religious faith are vitally important.
    Everyone is looking for something to fulfill them. In this leaflet we try to answer the important questions of life in a positive, life-affirming way.  It’s time to speak of freedom!

    Michael Glatze totally self-identified as gay from the age of 13.  He founded a media outreach group for young gays.  He never questioned his same-sex desires.  He questioned everything except his homosexuality.  He simply assumed that he had been born like it.

    But the death of his own father made Michael look at his own health and literally put the fear of God into him.  He even began to question his sexuality, something he was told never to do.  Just looking at ex-gay websites felt like he was breaking some kind of unwritten law.  It was like a taboo subject, like a form of social control.

    ‘I believed in things that made no sense’
    As soon as Michael began noticing the nature of his desires and believing they could change, the realisation, he says, ‘became very religious’.
    ‘When I started moving through the process of seeking God’s will, and trying to understand what that meant, I was buying less into things I had long believed.  I had believed in things that made no sense – they held no weight.’  He saw the life he was living was a fraud.
    Michael found a sense of freedom.  He also began making up his own mind: ‘When I started to read the Gospels and specifically what Jesus wrote, that’s when I started to gain an understanding of what was actually happening to me – the notion of a new life.’
    He says: ‘ In the Gospels, Jesus was giving up his life for my sake – giving me a new life.’

    Campaigning lesbian questioned her life
    Charlene Cothran was a campaigning lesbian for 29 years, organising and participating in marches, editing a gay periodical and lobbying for gay rights.
    Like Michael, she experienced for herself the power struggles within gay relationships – so much so that her close friend was shot dead by that woman’s lesbian ex- lover.  Charlene witnessed some of the violence that led up to the murder and said afterwards: ‘I stood at the very gates of hell’,
    ‘Oh my God!’ is a common expression of surprise but by the grace of God, Charlene began to question her life and knew that God was asking her whether she would give him her heart and soul.  And that’s what she did.

    ‘We were NOT born this way’
    Charlene says: ‘Know that we were NOT born this way. This myth was fashioned by the gay establishment as a basis for changing laws in favour of gay rights.
    ‘Do not resist God’s call on your life; get alone with God and let him minster the truth directly to you.  Accept Jesus Christ – enjoy your life to a new degree, without the burden of sin and with all God’s promises on your side.  Break free.
    ‘It’s possible to have a better time than you did in the clubs, in the parks, better than all those secret encounters with folks whose names you’ve long forgotten.’

    What did Jesus say about human sexuality?
    When Jesus spoke about sexual morality, he quoted from the two first chapters of the first book of the Bible, Genesis, about heterosexual ‘one flesh’ marriage!
    ‘Have you not read’, Jesus asked, ‘That he which made them at the beginning made them male and female?  And said: For this cause shall a man leave father and mother and cleave to his wife and they twain shall be one flesh?’ (Gospel of Matthew Chapter 19)
    So Jesus taught heterosexuality.  And that ‘one flesh’ union the Bible speaks of is something only a man and a woman can achieve.  Our private parts are designed by God for each other, just as he designed man and woman for each other spiritually and emotionally as well.

    Trying to solve the puzzle with only half the pieces
    In the words of psychiatrist Dr David Reuben, gays and lesbians are ‘trying to solve the puzzle with only half the pieces’.
    Try as they might, a man can never be ‘one flesh’ with another man, and a woman can never be ‘one flesh’ with another woman.  That search for what has never existed might explain the rampant promiscuity in the gay world, orders of magnitude greater than among heterosexuals, even according to homosexual researchers.

    Messing up the body God gave us
    And of course the promiscuity brings in its wake a raft of sexually-transmitted diseases.  Gay men are now the main reservoir for syphilis and rectal gonorrhoea.  It is a disgrace that children are now being told in our schools that there is nothing wrong with homosexuality.
    According to the surveys, fewer than 2% of adults are homosexual, although you would think it was more from the noise the media make about it.  But around 25% of adolescents can be confused about their sexuality.  Most grow out of that phase but some can be persuaded that it is their ‘true identity’, and once in, it is hard to get free.  So never label yourself as gay.
    It’s time to speak of freedom, freedom from unnatural desires and freedom from sin.  As Michael Glatze and Charlene Cothran showed, a ‘gay identity’ is a lie.  They walked away from it by the power of Jesus Christ.

    Jesus, friend of sinners,  is tough on sin
    You will hear Jesus described as ‘friend of sinners’ but that’s not because he ever condoned sin.  It’s because He showed sinners the error of their ways and said that through him they could get right with God.  Jesus’s first words in his public ministry were ‘The kingdom of God is at hand. Repent and believe the Gospel.’  (Mark 1:15)
    Jesus is tough on sin and tough on the causes of sin. He condemned those who lead the young astray by saying they should have millstones tied around their necks and be thrown into the sea.

    So homosexuals are going to hell?
    All sinners are going to hell.  God’s Commandments can never be repealed: sin is worshipping anything other than God, blasphemy, pride, disrespect to parents and those in authority, murder, stealing, lying, adultery, envy, lust and all sexual sin – not just sodomy.  To break any of God’s Commandments is to stand condemned.
    But we are bringing good news!  If you repent of all you have done wrong, believe and call out to Jesus for mercy, He will forgive you.  In Jesus, who never sinned, God became one of us, and died on the Cross to reconcile to God all who would believe in Him.  When He was crucified, Jesus took our evil deeds – our sins – upon Him and clothed us in his righteousness.
    However far we have gone away from God, He will welcome us back if we recognise that we have done wrong and are ready to put things right.  ‘For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God.’
    ‘All’ means you too, but Jesus has the power to forgive you and give you a new life.  Turn from your sins, call upon the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and you will be saved.  Jesus gave his life on the cross so that all those who believe in Him could be justified before God by faith in His once-for-all sacrifice of Himself.

    Ye shall be free indeed
    But it did not end in his death.  Jesus rose from the dead and Christians live in His risen life, through the power of the Holy Spirit whom Jesus sends.
    We have seen that men and women have been released from homosexual desires.  No-one has to stay gay.  Every person identifying as gay or lesbian can walk away to freedom through belief in the Lord Jesus Christ.  ‘If the Son shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.’
    After he rose from the dead, Jesus ascended into heaven, and now has the right to rule over all the kingdoms of the world.  Not only is Jesus King, but He is also the righteous judge.  One day He will return in judgment, to redeem his own and condemn the wicked and the unbelievers. How will you stand in that day?

    ‘The way, the truth and the life’
    You can’t cover your own sin, only Jesus Christ is the way to heaven.  He said: ‘I am the way, the truth and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.’  He also said:  ‘For God so loved the world, that He gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.’  That promise still stands today.

    Gay Marriage Threat Worsens

    The Scottish Government has started a consultation with the intention of legalising same-sex marriage on the same day as a Conservative MP called for churches to be banned from celebrating marriages at all if they banned similar services for gays.

    The Scottish consultation (find it HERE), ‘The Registration of Civil Partnerships / Same-Sex Marriage – A Consultation’, ends on 9th December.

    The SNP government has already prejudiced the consultation.  In the introduction to the paper, deputy first minister Nicola Sturgeon, says: “The Scottish government is choosing to make its initial views clear at the outset of this consultation.

    “We tend towards the view that religious ceremonies for civil partnerships should no longer be prohibited and that same sex marriage should be introduced so that same sex couples have the option of getting married if that is how they wish to demonstrate their commitment to each other.

    “We also believe that no religious body or its celebrants should be required to carry out same sex marriages or civil partnership ceremonies.”

    The proposals come just as the Scottish Social Attitudes Survey has disclosed that the proportion of Scots thinking that homosexuals have the right to ‘marry’ has increased from 41% in 2002 to 61% in 2010.  The proportion disagreeing has gone down from 29% to 19% over the same period.

    Attitude has followed the law.  The authors observe: ‘Much of this shift in attitudes has occurred during the last five years – that is, since the introduction of civil partnerships in December 2005, which thus appears to have had a considerable impact on attitudes.’

    In response, we should say, firstly, that allowing such ceremonies to take place in church would allow homosexual activists their first step to having the Church honour their distorted relationships.  Respect from the Church is one of only two measures missing for them, their having won everything else.

    (The other missing link in the gay rights chain is a full hate-crimes law to forbid adverse comment on their activities and lifestyle.  Under ‘hate-crimes’, Section 74 of the Criminal Justice and Immigration Act 2008 extended hate-crimes legislation in the United Kingdom to homosexuality, but a ‘freedom of expression’ clause inserted against the UK Governments’ wishes allowed ‘discussion or criticism of sexual conduct or practices, or the urging of persons to refrain from or modify such conduct or practices.’)

    Secondly, it is easy to say at this point that religious bodies and ministers would not be forced to carry out same sex marriages or civil partnership ceremonies, but those behind the legislation (the civil servants and gay rights activists in the corridors of power, not necessarily the minister) will be back within a year or two calling on simple logic and the demands of equality to remove that concession.

    And right on time to prove this very point, step forward the Conservative Member of Parliament for Hove, one Mike Weatherley.   He has called for churches to be banned from holding marriages if they won’t also carry out civil partnerships for homosexuals.

    Mr Weatherley’s constituency lies in Brighton and Hove which has the most same-sex households in the UK.  In a letter to Prime Minister David Cameron, published today, he said:

    ‘Several campaigns are currently calling for, variously, the creation of a right to a Marriage for same-sex couples and the creation of a right to a Civil Partnership for opposite-sex couples. Such proposals may seemingly be the next logical step in the campaign for equality but, if enacted, would still leave us with a messy compromise. As long as religious groups can refuse to preside over ceremonies for same-sex couples, there will be inequality. Such behaviour is not be tolerated (sic)  in other areas, such as adoption, after all.’

    The shape of things to come...

    The UK Government, like its Scottish counterpart, is already preparing to bring forward legislation to allow civil partnerships to be conducted on religious premises, something specifically banned in the Civil Partnership Act 2004.  This intention on its own shows how equality legislation advances by a Fabian process of creep.

    Gay activists probably hope Mr Weatherley’s extreme intervention will shift the parameters of debate so that the UK Government’s proposal (and for that matter that of the Scottish Parliament) looks reasonable.  But instead he has let the cat out of the bag, and shown us what will be done if not under this adminstration then when Labour return to power.

    PRAY: Thank God for revealing the true intentions of the anti-Christian homosexual movement and pray that the churches will take note and arise to tell the governments north and south of the border that we will not accept this attack on the Church of Jesus Christ, that no-one has the authority to over-ride what God has stated in Scripture.
