Christian Voice Press Release – 14:45 hrs 18th February 2017
A premier league football club have accused a Christian group of ‘hate speech’. The complaint follows an article highlighting their sponsorship of a homosexual event targeted at young people.
AFC Bournemouth have reported Christian Voice to Sussex Police and football’s ‘KickitOut’ pressure group.
AFCB’s action was disclosed by their photographer Steve Cook, now know as ‘Sophie’, in a tweet yesterday, Friday 17th.
Divisive Homosexual Event
Christian Voice drew attention to AFC Bournemouth’s sponsoring what they called a ‘divisive’ homosexual event being held in the town today (Saturday 18th February 2017). The relegation strugglers are involved in the 2017 SchoolsOut’s LGBT History Month at Bournemouth University.
We also criticised the Club for funding a group which they say tries to convince adolescents they are gay – Space Youth Project.
But it is their refusal to accept that Bournemouth’s photographer, Steve Cook, is a woman which has drawn the particular ire of the South Coast outfit. Click here for the online article.
AFC Bournemouth would close down free speech
We have yet to hear from Sussex Police. We are puzzled in fact why AFCB would report us to Sussex rather than the Dorset force.
As to KickitOut, they have our full support in confronting racism. But the fact is, they will only dilute their message if they start promoting deviant sexual behaviour.
Clearly there is a constant need to defend freedom of speech. A corporate body like Bournemouth Football Club must not even think it can use the law to shut down those who would criticise its sponsorship policy.
This ministry will continue to criticise those who promote homosexuality to young people. We shall also continue to refer to ‘trans’ persons by their God-given gender. Post-truth is not the Christian world.

“but the Lord laughs at the wicked, for he knows their day is coming” (Prov 37:13)
sorry again, thats PSALM 37:13
sorry, correction, that should be “He”
Or maybe She, or He/She or They.
I wouldn’t like to meet Sophie on a dark night (and I don’t think that person could have any legal redress against what is my private opinion of such an experience, or on Christian/ess Voice for publishing it.

“(and I don’t think that person could have any legal redress against what is my private opinion of such an experience, or on Christian/ess Voice for publishing it. ”
Rox, it doesn’t matter what you think, its up to Steve Cook (Sophie)’s lawyer(s).
No, I think it would be up to the judge.
But honestly, it’s not very defamatory to say that I wouldn’t want to meet somebody (on a dark night or at any other time). I wouldn’t want to meet Bruce Forsyth or Nigel Farage either. I’m perfectly entitled to have and exchange the opinion that I wouldn’t enjoy the experience.
I don’t think even Jimmy Savile’s lawyers could have got me over that one. (I would never have wanted to meet him either).
For the sake of clarification: I am not intending to link Bruce Forsyth or Nigel Farage with Jimmy Savile in any way. I just don’t like what I see of them, which is up to me.
gosh Rox, you’ve had a go at Steve/Sophie, now its Bruce Forsyth, Nigel Farage and Jimmy Savile. Honestly, how much bird do you want to do? Still, in for a penny, in for a pound, I suppose
Jimmy Savile is not going to trouble me, and I don’t think Bruce Forsyth or Nigel Farage would want the publicity.
I just don’t like them, that ‘s all. I could summon lots of witnesses who don’t like them either. In fact, I’m rather looking forward to it .
I haven’t “had a go at” Steve/Sophie, although Trump-like, you are using language it’s difficult to define.
I just wouldn’t want to meet her, not even on a dark night when I could barely see her.
She probably wouldn’t want to spend a lot of time with Mark, so let’s all go our separate ways
Do you imagine for one minute that Bruce Forsyth and Nigel Farage read Christian Voice ?
Rox, you have made your comment, a retraction is probably too late. The old adage, “If you can’t do the time, don’t do the crime” springs to mind. We can only hope that Steve/Sophie and his/her lawyer(s) show mercy. Never mind, you’ll only get a few years tops, and with good behaviour, well, you’ll be out in no time. Perhaps you can swing an open prison, some are quite nice, I’ve heard, even comfortable. A couple of words of advice though: DON’T drop your soap in the shower, but if you do, DON’T bend over to pick it up.
I haven’t retracted it !
I WOULDN’T LIKE TO MEET SOPHIE ON A DARK NIGHT.
You don’t get a prison sentence for libel. It’s a civil matter. But this is not libel.
Like Stephen, your knowledge of homosexual practices seems surprisingly extensive.
That’s because the gays had to publish lists of them in the 1980s during the AIDS crisis categorising them in terms of risk.
A list which most people did not read !
Then you must rely on those who did take that trouble.
hi Rox: “Like Stephen, your knowledge of homosexual practices seems surprisingly extensive.”
Rox, you now seem to be inferring that there is something wrong with homosexual practice. This could, I think I may be right in saying, by itself now constitute a hate crime (a CRIMINAL matter).
When you’re in a hole, stop digging, son!
No. I know a woman whose knowledge of football teams is surprisingly extensive. That doesn’t mean I think that there is anything wrong with football or with her knowing about it.
I shall save a lot of money by defending myself, when the time comes.
If there is a lawsuit, I wonder if it will be case-managed by this bloke:

I wouldn’t mind meeting Dr Victoria McCloud on a dark night. I’m sure it would be most interesting.
Here we have a man dressing up as a woman, and then dressing up again as a woman dressing up as a man, but with a long-haired wig ? And she is a “Master in the High Court” ? Shouldn’t that be a “Mistress in the High Court”, if that is what she wants ?
Is the civil partner, Dr Annie McCloud, supposed to be male or female ? This is a plot which I really have lost. I’m too old.
But on investigation, I gather that Dr Annie McCloud is also a man who has become a woman, at least in a sense, so does that make them lesbians, in a sense ? Or maybe they are heterosexuals in a sense (or perhaps at least one thinks so), or maybe just rather confused male homosexuals ? I really don’t know.
I really don’t get this, but I wish them the best of luck. I’m sure they need it.
I hope they will forgive me if I have got it wrong. I’m not used to this sort of thing.
It is playing fast and loose with objective truth. And you are a human being made in the image of God, who is truth. So of course you don’t get it. They have to exercise severe mental gymnastics to get it. And I’m not sure in their hearts they really get it. Unless their conscience is totally seared…
I hope John All Man (that’s a relief) isn’t trying to entrap us, Stephen.
This is a high court judge, for goodness sake !
I know somebody who was once in a fairly similar high position who has a “vegetarian dog”, but I’m certainly not going to say who it is !
