Boris Johnson
Boris Johnson

Boris Johnson is in trouble with the Guardian not just for saying the European Union is planning a new Roman Empire, but for saying Napoleon and Adolf Hitler had that dream as well.

(A more sympathetic view of Mr Johnson’s speech is here at the Daily Express!)

We say there is actually no need to invoke Hitler and Napoleon.  Neither of them was educated enough to go to Rome to start their project.

But some clever chap in the EU was smart enough to organise the perfect place for such an endeavour.

So is Boris right to say the European Union is reviving the Roman Empire?

Take at look at our video on this very subject recorded in Rome itself and decide for yourself.  No-one has ever before joined up these particular dots.  Prepare to be amazed:

  1. Very attractive views of Rome, and very interesting.

Most people would think that God is the only God, and so Jupiter was a fiction which did not really exist, and so presents no problem. However, if you think it is necessary to cast him out and consecrate the Palazzo dei Conservatori to Jesus, is it too late to do this ? Perhaps you could persuade someone like the Archbishop of York to do it. Then would the European Union be OK after all ?

Actually, Rome was soon conquered by Napoleon and the Pope taken prisoner to France. Later, he made his son King of Rome. You may remember that he abolished the Holy Roman Empire, and had himself crowned Emperor. Hitler visited Rome in 1938 and watched fascist rallies amongst the ancient buildings. Both of them were well aware of the symbolism of the Roman empire, although of course Mussolini was in a better position to benefit from this than his ally.

    • Of course the Almighty is the only true God, the Creator, Sustainer and Deliverer, but there is a spiritual dimension to life and a demonic realm with a degree of power.
No, the Archbishop of York has no authority over the city of Rome.
Watch The European Union’s Tower of Babel to see how even the EU’s architecture celebrates man’s first political rebellion against God.
And watch The European Union’s Woman on the Beast to see how the EU has adopted the Greek myth of Europa, whom they identify as Europe, being carted off and raped by the demon-god Zeus.
Zeus as the Bull is even on EU residence permits, pictured over five stars which are the Hyades, the head of the Bull in the Taurus constellation. Yes, the EU does astrology.
It really does not matter what you or I think, Eurocrats really believe they are setting up a revived Roman Empire. And it will bring a curse on every nation involved in it.

      • I Believe God is all powerful and that the Roman and Greek gods were myths and therefore have no power. I also believe Romans 13 v 1-7 which includes the words “…The authorities that exist have been established by God….” and though I agree with the video that the EU Treaties have a humanistic set of values I believe that God is in control and uses this imperfect vessel to do much good and will break it up if he desires.
I like to apply the “What would Jesus do..” test. When I read the Gospels I see that Christ’s emphasis was on preaching to ordinary people about being in God’s Kingdom. He lived at a time when Europe and the middle East was ruled by the Roman Empire. The fact that Jesus and his followers didn’t spend any time preaching against this European Superstate makes me believe our priorities are with preaching that Jesus Saves and not creating complex conspiracy theories based on Architectural observations.
I know some Christians who are Eurocrats, who you condemn. I have no actual statistics to prove this but I’m pretty sure there are more Christians working for the EU than there are worshipers of Jupiter. Those Christians like the ones in our own parliament work to influence a secular organisation and they are the salt which fights off the decay.
The Church I belong to sends Christians around the world and having the freedom to be able to take the Christian message to 500million people with the protections of the EU is significant.
Let’s not be scared of the EU, Let’s rejoice in the freedoms and peace that it has bought to us and lets use it to spread the Gospel and unite the Church in Europe.

        • Of course the demonic realm has power! Otherwise we should not be taught to have nothing to do with witchcraft.
2Kings 3:27 speaks of incredible spiritual forces arising from a human sacrifice.
And does not Satan himself draw power from the shedding of innocent human blood?
All that being said, the name of Jesus has more power, if we will but speak in his name.
What would Jesus do? Go to the cross on a charge of sedition, actually.
The Apostle Paul speaks against the assumed super-sovereignty of Caesar in Romans 13, The Lord told Pilate of a higher rule than his and of one due greater allegiance than Caesar, and the followers of Jesus were accused of having ‘another king, one Jesus.’ The prophets of old spoke out against Antichrist customs, but I don’t read of a referendum on the Roman Empire in the first century so the arguments could be better aired.
It’s not complex, and it’s not a conspiracy. It’s plain and obvious, hidden in the open, if you like.
The fact that good people are working in the EU and being, we hope and pray, salt and light makes it not one jot less of an attempt by the elite to set up a revived Roman Empire.
And don’t worry, Brexit won’t mean an end to world travel.

  2. Dear Stephen,

I agree with you that the Roman Catholic Church is the whore of Babylon, as stated in Revelation 17:2-6.

I was wandering what are your views on the timing of the rapture of the Church (1 Th 4:16-18, 2 Th 2:7-8 Mat 24:40-41, Lu 17:34-36, 1 Co 15:51-53) or as the KJV states “shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the lord in the air” (1 Th 4:17).

Do you believe that the rapture is before the 70th week of Daniel (e.g. a pre-tribulation rapture) or do you believe the rapture is after the 70th week (e.g. a post-tribulation rapture)? I personally believe the rapture is before the 70th week of Daniel (e.g. “pre-trib”) and that the “post-tribulation” rapture is a false Roman Catholic teaching promoted by the Jesuit order. What are your thoughts?

        • Well, quite. It is plain from the text that the earthly kingdoms of Daniel 2:32-40 are being referred to and that the EU’s founders have decided to set up the one in Daniel 2:41-43 and Rev 17:9,12-13, the revived Roman Empire. But it will come to a sticky end as prophesied in Daniel 2:44 and Revelation 17:14.
As to Daniel’s 70th week, people waste too much time pondering and arguing over such things. Better simply to live each day in the fear of God and the salvation of Christ.
