A 10- minute rule Bill is being put forward today that would enable the partners of gay peers to receive titles.
Under the current system, the wife of a knight, lord or sir is given a title and becomes a lady, although the reverse does not apply.
The proposed reforms, put forward by Tory MP Oliver Colville, would extend this privilege to the partners of gay knights and lords. For example, Sir Elton John’s civil partner, David Furnish, would be given the right to use an honorary title.
What remains vague is exactly what title the partner in perversion would be eligible for since currently the only title available for the spouse of a male peer is ‘lady.’ Somehow, “Lady David Furnish” doesn’t quite seem right.
Mr Colville hopes his bill, called The Honours (Equality of Titles for Partners) Bill, will bring ‘equality’ to the system. The motion is significant because it comes at a time when Government is already considering Lords reform. It insists “that leave be given to bring in a Bill to make provision for husbands and civil partners of those receiving honours to be allowed to use equivalent honorary titles to those available to women”.
Mr. Colville commented, “If you are made a peer or a knight, your wife automatically gets the title lady, but if you are gay or are a woman and become a dame your partner gets nothing. I just think it’s an anomaly which needs to be put right.”
These proposals will be debated in more detail when the question of gay ‘marriage’ comes before Parliament.

PRAY: We have warned again and again that tampering with the definition of marriage will start a chain reaction of unforeseeable consequences. Even though same-sex ‘marriage’ has not passed Parliament, Mr Colville’s Bill gives us a glimpse of the types of problems our nation will face if same-sex ‘marriage’ is legalized. Pray that God’s judgement will fall upon those who are devising these wicked plans. Also ask our heavenly father to allow this 10- minute rule Bill to expose the tangled web of absurdities that arise from abandoning God’s natural order.
WRITE: To your MP and protest against these plans. Ask for your concerns to be forwarded to the relevant minister.

Robin, you are obsessed with homosexuality. It’s all you write about. You do know what’s said about those who protest too much.
Don’t be silly, Neil, it’s not all Robin writes about. But who is more obsessed with homosexuality, the guys who report on it, or the Stonewall lobby group and their mouthpiece Oliver Colville MP who has spent considerable time and energy putting a 10-minute-rule bill together and initiating a debate so that David Furnish can become Dame Elton?
I think true Christians are becoming the most hated people in Britain now. We are held in contempt and everything Christians fought for, and suffered for is slowly being eroded and destroyed. I just think of the Lord looking at this country now, and I imagine He feels like He did overlooking Jerusalem before His arrest and sentence. He looked at the City Council with love not hate. May we His Body flow with love, faith and compassion, and receive a baptism of the Holy Spirit to preach the gospel like the early Church. I agree we are becoming a hated people if we stand for what is right and true. The BIBLE is clear that if you stand for CHRIST you will be hated and vilified. Thank you Stephen for you stand and commitment for the truth. We support you.
Please, if you can, go and have a look at our parliamentarians and the staff that support them. You will see with your own eyes the types of questionable characters who inhabit that place, built to govern Britain. Many of these parliamentarians are clearly struggling with the concept of decency and morality. Many feel threatened when they come across a clean soul. But do not be afraid, Satan will always be overcome by righteousness and purity. As Christians, we will forever be wearing God’s armour of protection, and undivided in our unity.
Think of all the problems that the next generation of children are going to have to live with. In years to come if things continue they will not even know what sex they are. Childern will come out of a bottle and and be available to any type of person, paedophiles will be in their element, because children will not know what is right or wrong. They will not even be able to ask a Priest or Paster because some churches are turning away from the TRUTH and allowing these things to happen.
This Country that we all Love is Quickly Turning into a SODOM and GOMORRAH, and look how the Lord dealt with them because they would not change.
I’m totally dumbfounded by the pettiness of this complaint. If Christians spent as much time bitching and complaining about gay people as they did helping a 3rd world country (which is surely a much more pressing issue than this?) then we would have solved poverty by now. I can’t understand why so many people judge gay people without evening knowing one, let alone if they can raise a child successfully. The bible says so many things that many Christian’s do not follow, so why choose this one issue to fight against when you could be spending that time questioning whether everything the bible says can be taken seriously any more?
