England and Northern Ireland are at odds with Wales and Scotland over the issue of “puberty blockers”. Below you will find prayers and links to email your MP, MLA, MS or MSP.
We are not the only ones to have noticed, with Joanna Williams saying the same on Spiked Online.
The National Health Service has confirmed that children will no longer be prescribed life-altering puberty blockers at gender identity clinics in England. Its major ‘trans’ hub, the Tavistock Centre, will close. Northern Ireland’s Health minister Robin Swann has announced the Province will follow England’s lead.
But there are no plans to protect children in either Wales or Scotland. A survey has found all schools in Wales are allowing children to change gender, many without telling their parents. In Scotland, Glasgow’s Sandyford clinic will continue giving out the experimental drugs. The Scottish Government said NHS England’s “position” is being “closely considered.”
‘Landmark Decision’

The UK government said it welcomed the “landmark decision” of NHS England, adding it would help ensure care is based on evidence and is in the “best interests of the child”.
It follows a public consultation on the issue and an interim policy, and comes after NHS England commissioned an independent review of gender identity services for children under 18 in 2020 under consultant paediatrician Dr Hilary Cass OBE.
The review followed a sharp rise in referrals to the Gender Identity Development Service (GIDS) – a specialised service for young people who experience difficulties in the development of their gender identity, which is closing at the end of March following repeated scrutiny.
Run by the Tavistock and Portman NHS Foundation Trust, GIDS had 5,000 referrals in 2021/22, compared to just under 250 a decade earlier. GIDS is now set to close, to be replaced by regional centres, as we report below.
Schools in Wales allow puberty blockers

Under Welsh Labour and the SNP’s Scotland, the safety of children is being sacrificed on the altar of ideology. Schools in Wales are allowing children to change gender without informing parents. This has prompted concern among parents to speak out over the situation when pupils start to question their gender in schools.
All 68 schools in Wales revealed in freedom of information requests that they would enable the ‘gender transition’ of a pupil. However, only 28% of the schools said they would tell parents.
Responding, the Welsh Government has promised to release draft guidance for schools in the spring, aiming to advise them on handling situations where children question their gender.
In January, the Welsh Government announced the “trans” guidance for schools in England ‘will not apply to schools in Wales’. Trans ideology is driving policy in Wales and harming children. Not only does homosexual minister Jeremy Miles AM not care, but newly elected first minister Vaughan Gething has pledged to ‘continue to support the right of trans people to self-identify as the gender of their choice’..
Scotland’s gender recognition bill

Scotland’s gender recognition bill was blocked, thank God, by Rishi Sunak in Westminster with a notice under Section 35 of the Scotland Act 1998. The bill, passed by the Scottish parliament in December, aimed to make it easier for people to ‘change their gender’. However, in January, the UK Government refused to let the bill become law.
This is the first time in nearly 25 years that Westminster has blocked a Scottish bill. The Court of Appeal upheld the ‘Section 35 notice’ and the Scottish Government will not appeal it. However, the direction of travel is still firmly towards the trans activists and their ideology rather than towards the well-being of children. The Scottish government refuse to abandon the Bill.
Scottish ‘Social Justice’ Secretary Shirley-Anne Somerville said: ‘We are unwavering in our commitment to supporting and empowering LGBTQI+ people in Scotland.’ And not vulnerable children.
Tavistock closure

On 28th July 2022, the NHS ordered the closure of the Central Transgender clinic by spring 2023. This followed the interim report by Dr. Hilary Cass, who is also a former president at the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health.
Dr Cass expressed concern that young people were ‘at substantial danger’ of poor mental health and anxiety from advice and treatment at the Tavistock.
All the UK nations are behind the curve. In February 2022, the Swedish government ended the practice of prescribing puberty blockers and cross-sex hormones for under 18s. They rejected the ‘Dutch Protocol’ of medical “affirmation”, which had been endorsed, naturally, by the trans-activist WPATH ”Standards of Care 7” guidelines. Sweden called it ‘experimental’. The Lord Jesus said:
Mark 10:6 But from the beginning of the creation God made them male and female. … and …
Matthew 9:12b They that be whole need not a physician, but they that are sick.

Two gender service centres to open

Two new centres will open in April at two specialist children’s hospitals in England: Great Ormond Street in London and Alder Hey children’s hospital in Liverpool.
NHS England hopes to ultimately create seven or eight centres. However, the services they provide will be what NHS sources say will be “fundamentally different from the current service, in line with the Cass recommendations”.
Maria Caulfield, the health minister, said: ‘We welcome this landmark decision by the NHS to end the routine prescription of puberty blockers and this guidance which recognises that care must be based on evidence, expert clinical opinion and in the best interests of the child.
‘The NHS must ensure its Gender Identity Services protect, support and act in the best interests of children and we will continue to work with NHS England to protect children in this area.’
However, as we report elsewhere and in our video below, NHS Trusts are self-governing and at liberty to be as ‘pro-trans’ as they want. That is why the Gender Recognition Act and the Equality Act must go.
The NHS website admits that the effects of hormone blockers include infertility. Yet they may still be allowed for 18’s and over. In the light of the words of the Lord Jesus, and the medical principle of first not doing harm, we are campaigning for a complete ban UK-wide on sex-change drugs and on the mutilation of ‘gender-affirming surgery.’ Sign our Petition:
