New figures for the  numbers of Muslims in prison have revealed the shocking connection between Islam and criminality.

Despite being less than 5% of the population at the time of writing, Muslims represented 12 percent (9795) of the prison population in England and Wales in 2008, according to the latest available figures.

Muslim gangs are running many prisons, according to a BBC report.  In high security prisons, Muslim percentages are well above average.   In 2008, Muslim prisoners accounted for 34 percent of prisoners in HMP Whitemoor, in Cambridgeshire, and about 24 percent of inmates in HMP Long Lartin, in Worcestershire.

Ironically, Muslim criminals enforce a strict Islamic code in many of our prisons: people can be beaten up for eating pork or listening to western music.  Inmates are being recruited into Islam and Muslim lags are being radicalised.

Britain is not alone: In Belgium the figure is 16% (12.8% Moroccans, 3.1% Turks) (EUMAP), 35% (NEWS) in Denmark 20% (NEWS).  French prisons have between 50% and 70% Muslims (NEWS, NEWS, NEWS) whilst in Norway the figure is over 30% (NEWS) and in Spain 70% (NEWS).  Not even Switzerland escapes, with 57.8% Muslims in Champ-Dollon prison alone (Champ-Dollon PDF).  See HERE for the source of that information and more figures.

“The connection between criminality and Islamism is very tight in Europe,” said Michael Radu, a terrorism analyst at the Foreign Policy Research Institute.  See Islamic radicalization feared in Europe’s jails.

Now it’s very hard for us in these islands, with our strong Christian heritage, to get into our minds that a mosque in an area can promote criminality. We are used to religion being a force for good. It’s a real scandal when a priest is caught molesting a choir-boy, a vicar committing adultery or a pastor failing to account for funds. People say they expect better from a Christian and they are right. The example of Jesus Christ leads Christians to peace and to keeping the law.

You don’t find Christians in prison for running illegal betting syndicates, manufacturing drugs, organising prostitution rackets,using violence to protect their interests.  But it is not at all out of the ordinary for Muslims to be involved in these activities. You can do all of that and still be a ‘good Muslim’. Sadly, the example of Mohammed, who according to the Islamic scriptures was a brigand, a murderer, a torturer, a slave-owner and a rapist, who changed the rules to suit himself and taught his followers to lie in the cause of Islam leaves plenty of scope.  See HERE

That is why the building of a mosque will lead to an increase in criminality in an area.  Radicalisation does not just bring the threat of terrorism, it brings the prospect of protection rackets and prostitution for the reason that Muslims – and radical Muslims in particular – despise non-Muslims and the indigenous population of the land.  We are viewed as fair game to be plundered for the increase of Islam, whilst young un-attached non-Muslim females are seen as little more than the booty of war.

The disturbing reality of Muslim gangs grooming non-Muslim girls was exposed earlier this year.  We shall return to this topic which gives added impetus to our prayer against the proposed ‘megamosque’ in West Ham.

    Many thanks for providing this information, of which I was formerly unaware. It provides very strong support for anyone anywhee in the UK, (or indeed any European Union country), who would argue against the establishment of a mosque in their Council area/locality.   2. By this logic a C of E church in your area would be a fightening prospect ince somewhere around 80% of prisoners would claim that religion. Of course you will say that they are only nominal members of the C of E but Muslims will say that those convicted of these things are only nominal Muslims and my experience of life in the secure estate would confirm that. Most of those claiming to be Muslim are as ignorant of their religion as those who claim to be Christian. I remember during one service saying that Jesus rose from the dead, this was clearly brand new information for one “member” of the C of E. I know “Muslims” who can’t name the five pillars of Islam or the six core beliefs.

    A Mosque in your area does not mean an increase in crime and your logic is laughable bringing the Name of Christ and Christians into disrepute, by making Christians appear both stupid and bigotted

    • Andrew has made a serious point using human “logic”, albeit using somewhat unhelpful and emotive language (“stupid and bigoted” – please note correct spelling). However his parallelism is completely wrong, and the quicker he disabuses himself of it the better!.A Christian prison-worker friend says there are about 30% Muslims in his prison. Virtually all (especially once they let others know that they ARE Muslim!) congregate to attend their Friday prayer time, and to demand their religious “rights” and privileges (halal meat, head coverings, 3pm prayer times set aside in winter etc.). To this extent they are “practising” their faith. By contrast he says that almost no “Christian” ones do likewise, apart from those who get born again whilst in prison! He also notes the general dishonesty among Muslims – equipment “disappearing” from rooms vacated to allow Muslim “prayer”. Ultimately Islam is a false and demonic religion, and Muslims do not have the Holy Spirit. We should oppose its spread.

        There won’t be any Christian equivalent to the Muslim gatherings simply because born-again spirit-filled Christians don’t get involved with crime. The only Christians meeting together are, as you correctly point out, those who become born again in prison itself.

      I think you have missed a key point – the key statistic in Stephen’s argument is that Muslims make up 12% of the prison population but only 5% of the population at large. Do you have evidence that the Christian population of prisons is twice as large proportionately as their share of the total population?

  3. I’m horrified at the way our country is being perverted and dragged down without the politicians we elect guarding our national sovereignty for our best interests.

    Christianity civilises because we fear a Greater Power to whom we will have to answer at the judgment seat.

    Islamisation perverts and enslaves people to error whilst the new (ish) religion, ‘Evolution’ is for a survival of the fittest and to the wall for the rest.

    Apparently it costs British tax payers £800 a week to keep each of these people in jail. Enoch Powell was going to repatriate them for just £100 each!

  4. It is time that our leaders recognised Islam as Satanic and made a determined effort to rid our Christian nation of its curse. When God ruled Britain, Britain ruled the world. Weakness, unprincipled and corrupt politicians are responsible for reducing this nation to its knees before the false god of greed and immorality. I would like to ask Mr Cameron this question, ‘Mr Cameron, If you & your wife were unable to take care of your lovely daughter, would you be happy for a homosexual couple to either foster or adopt her?’ It is time to listen to the people – before the people stop listening to the politicians and begin to take action.

    Our scriptures make it absolutely plain – just read 2 Chronicles ch 7 v 14: It’s all about us taking action for ourselves. It makes it clear what WE have to do. It’s worth noting also it’s not the nominal christians but “my people who are called by name”. There’s much humbling – much praying – much seeking of God’s face – much turning (by us) from OUR wicked ways.

    What would happen if we all did that ? I feel convicted even as I type this.

  8. What total garbage. As a friend of mine pointed out, since 95% of the prison population are men, are we to wipe them out first, since that would clearly reduce crime by more?

    You lot give Jesus a bad name. What about he who is without sin casting the first stone (Matthew 7:1)? Or living thy neighbour?

      I understand you work on voluntary sector involvement in the criminal justice sector, so thanks for your comment. Actually, we aren’t involved with prostitution, drug-dealing or indeed with any criminality here, so I think we are free and indeed bound, by the Lord’s command to love our neighbours, to comment on the criminality of Muslims.

  15. Ben how can we give Jesus the Son of God a bad name, as opposed to islam, real Christianity is totally different, try reading about the Hebrides revival, and Duncan Campbell, Smith Wigglesworth, and see the lives of real people, you can find references to these people on the web.
    But remember not everyone that says they are Christians,are Christians, we get imposters trying to look good, wolves in sheep’s clothing, their lives do not line up with Scripture.

  17. There is a black sheep in every society, no doubts muslims growing up in england are not all equall. I m a muslim and i know some very good christians and some not so good. Those who are bad i will not blame Jesus peace be upon him, for its a personal choice. I do think that a lot of conclusions have been made in your article prematurely, with all respects. Any one could make a similar article for the christians. History is full of christian mass murderers too, it doesnt mean christians learn this from the bible. You also missed out that the 80% of people converting to a religion in prisons choose islam this also makes the figure go high. There is a racism in the society, i as a muslim know this by experience, muslims are sometimes victim of harsh treatment and arrests where others may have got away with. Article like yours is not a solution you r creating more haterid in the society and giving a bad picture of christanity, would Jesus peace be upon him, have done that??

    • No, no-one could write a similar article about Christians because Christians observe the laws of the land. Those ‘choosing’ Islam in prison do not reform, they just become Muslim criminals. When someone turns to Christ in prison he is transformed and does not re-offend. The same cannot be said of Muslims. As to why so many choose to become Muslim in prison, there is pressure, there is favourable treatment for Muslims, halal food etc, and Muslim gangs run protection rackets for their own in prison.
      And I’ll tell you what Jesus would say and does say to you. He says, ‘Repent and believe the Gospel.’ You need a living Saviour, not a dead prophet.

      • Hi Stephen. You should be happy there are more muslims in prison. Isn’t that where they belong? What i want to ask you is if the entire muslim prison population is 12%, what the other law abiding Christian citizens in prison for? Not paying their road tax?

        They are all criminals who are there to be rehabilitated. Let’s not separate one from the other.

        • The population of Christians in prison is very small. Most prisoners do not believe in either Allah/Mohammed or in Jesus. But the difference between our faiths is you can be a good Muslim and still be a drug-dealer, pimp or racketeer. When someone becomes a Christian he turns from all that.

    You clearly haven’t read the Quran, because it clearly establishes rules with regards to a crime and it’s punishment. It is not mentioned anywhere in the Quran that it is permitted to break the law of the country you live in and commit crimes against it’s population. I’d like you to prove me wrong, if you are true in what you say.
