Labour Figures’ Bizarre Link to Paedophile Groups

Their involvement with an organisation to which two groups campaigning for the legalisation of paedophilia were affiliated has come back to challenge three leading Labour Party figures.

Before she became an MP, Harriet Harman was the legal officer in the late 1970s for the National Council for Civil Liberties. When Miss Harman joined NCCL in 1978, PIE, the Paedophile Information Exchange, had already been affiliated for three years. Another group, Paedophile Action for Liberation, a Gay Liberation Front offshoot, had also been affiliated to NCCL until it was absorbed by PIE. PIE, which campaigned for adults to have sex legally with children, only broke off its relationship with NCCL when it went undercover in 1982, the same year that Harriet Harman left her NCCL post to become Member of Parliament for Peckham.

NCCL people were earlier involved in keeping the name of an NCCL council-member, Jonathan Walters, out of the People newspaper when it ran an exposé of Paedophile Action for Liberation, of which he was secretary, in 1975. The People still ran the story, but Walters was not named.

Even more extraordinary is the fact that a current Cabinet Minister was running the National Council of Civil Liberties at the time all this was going on.

The Rt Hon Patricia Hewitt MP, Secretary of State for Health, became General Secretary of NCCL in 1974. The very next year, 1975, NCCL invited the Paedophile Information Exchange and Paedophile Action for Liberation to affiliate. In the year after, 1976, the now-notorious paedophile Tom O’Carroll was invited to address the NCCL conference, which promptly voted to ‘deplore’ the use of chemical castration treatments for paedophiles.

Also in 1975, Patricia Hewitt joined the Campaign for Homosexual Equality, as a ‘straight’, in the same year that Keith Hose of the Paedophile Information Exchange addressed its second annual conference. Hose moved a motion of censure on the conference organising committee for ‘relegating paedophilia to ancillary status in conference.’ The motion was seconded by Trevor Locke, who just happened to be a member of the Executive Council of the NCCL. ‘An awareness and acceptance of the sexuality of children is an essential part of the liberation of the young homosexual,’ the motion went on. It was duly passed.

Jack Dromey, whom Harriet Harman married in 1982, and who is now Treasurer of the Labour Party, was also involved with the NCCL. He served on its Executive Committee from 1970 to 1979, so he was there when the decision to invite the two paedophile groups to affiliate was made. NCCL also set up a gay rights sub-committee at the same time, members of which included prominent paedophiles Peter Bremner (alias Roger Nash), Michael Burbidge, Keith Hose and Tom O’Carroll. And of course Walters and Locke were on the Executive.

Stephen Green, National Director of Christian Voice, commented:

‘It is timely that the ghosts of the 1970’s past should come back to haunt these three leading Labour Party politicians. Harriet Harman, Jack Dromey and Patricia Hewitt were in their mid- or late-twenties at the time, but that cannot really excuse the way NCCL came to regard paedophiles as an oppressed minority whose civil liberties needed to be fought for.

‘All three of them really need to explain why they were so friendly toward so many out campaigning homosexual paedophiles in their youth. Why did they allow the NCCL gay rights sub-committee to be stuffed with them? Why were they happy to work with paedophilia supporters on the NCCL Executive? It cannot have been sympathy with child-molestation, so was it a complete lack of judgment or was it moral cowardice?

‘NCCL has now been rebranded as ‘Liberty’ and is doing great work standing up to the Government to defend the civil liberties of us all. But thirty years ago some rather peculiar things went on, and I think we should be told why.’

What a load of Tory propaganda.
1/ If you have evidence why haven’t you gone to the police?
2/ all you have is smears and innuendo where are our facts?
    3/ http://www.labour25.co.uk doesn’t exist
Just for once be honest and tell the truth.
    Utter, utter rubbish

    1. Stephen

Do we allege someone has done something illegal? If not, why would the police be interested? We have the supporting documents relating to NCCL, its personnel and the PIE affiliations, don’t worry! I expect that is why none of the people named have sued us, or any of the mainstream press, notably the Telegraph, who have picked the story up.

      1. Tim

It’s clearly stated everywhere that they were never “invited”, they chose to pay for affiliate status in an open umbrella organisation which was composed of OVER A THOUSAND separate activist groups

You seem to be another nasty vindictive person hiding behind the “christian” moniker, why can’t you just clearly state the facts if you’re so sure?

Jesus thought nothing of associating with prostitutes and lepers because he never lost sight of their humanity. Perhaps you should read a bit about him and decide whether you want to be righteous for god or righteous for yourself and your own shallow prejudices before you write any more

        1. Stephen

Don’t believe all you read either in the papers or from the mouths of politicians. In 1975 Nettie Pollard, the NCCL Gay Rights organiser, wrote a letter inviting PIE to affiliate to NCCL. PIE and Paedophile Action for Liberation, of which NCCL executive member Jonathan Walters was a member, both affiliated officially during that year. They remained affiliated until 1982, which was the year Harriet Harman left her post, having joined NCCL as its legal officer in 1978.

By 1975, one Patricia Hewitt had been the General Secretary of NCCL for just one year. In the following year, 1976, out campaigning paedophile Tom O’Carroll was invited by NCCL to address its conference on the issue of chemical castration treatments for paedophiles. The conference voted to “deplore” not paedophilia, but the treatment.

When “The People” exposed five “ringleaders” of Paedophile Action for Liberation in 1975, these were just the hedonists. The “politicos” like Jonathan Walters and convener Tony Hughes negotiated their way out with the help of a future senior Labour politician who was representing NCCL, who told the journalists that they were persecuting paedophiles on account of their sexual orientation. NCCL made representations to the Press Council over the story and came out in support of PAL’s “work” with Patricia Hewitt describing it in a local paper as “just a counselling group.”

In 1974 the National Council for Civil Liberties set up a Gay Rights sub-committee, which continued right through Harriet Harman’s tenure. It was run by Nettie Pollard and contained at various times PIE’s Peter Bremner (alias Roger Nash), Michael Burbridge, Keith Hose and Tom O’Carroll, serving alongside Roland Jeffrey, Anna Coote, Adrian Fulford (now a QC), Bernard Greaves, Anthony Grey and Geoffrey Robertson (also now a QC).

Would it not be a better idea for Harriet Harman and Patricia Hewitt simply to say honestly: ‘Yes, we supported paedophiles in the heady days of the late 70s and early 80s thinking they were a legitimate sexual minority and a subsection of the gay world, which we idolised as an anti-Christian revolutionary sexual front. We were young and silly, and we hope we know better now.’ (They can of course omit the last sentence if they still have a lingering fondness for the idea of children’s sexual rights and the abolition of the institution of the family.)

What a load of trollop ! Christian voive who are you ? Christanity and other forms of religion in the main have caused more atrocities and wars than you could shake a stick off , so whoever your propaganding for get of your soap box and get a life

    1. Stephen

All the atheist arrogance and ignorance of history and grammar wrapped up in one inarticulate comment. Thank you.

      1. diane

I am not an atheist. i was raised from early age going to sunday school , and believing in God, and all what he stands for. that was many years ago. I am a 56 year old nanny of 2 beautiful babies.
it saddens me so much, as you learn to realise, that religion is 1. something most cling onto out of fear of unknown. 2. it is and always seems through time , be the cause for war. it is not about peace, its about one religion believing theres is the be all and end all, and heaven help others believe different.
you can all sit in your church, mosques, and places of worship, believing different. has anything changed, aren’t wars still being fought in the name of religion..YES
well about time we came to our senses and realise, that its about dominance, being brain washed, that if someone does not believe in your ideology , lets go to war again with religion as yet another lame excuse.
i tried to explain to my GRANDDAUGHTER , at the tender age of 3 1/2, when she aSKED WHO IS GOD.I truly answer her, i felt sick

  3. Bill Foster

Party politics don’t enter into it.

The Tories have had, and still have, their fair share pf paedophiles.

One wonders why there is such a lack of names being brought forward for ‘Savile and others’ by Operation Yewtree.

Savile did not ply his evil trade alone, and the crop of faded ‘celebs’ being fed to the media are not representative of the real paedophiles that are supposed to be being investigated.

  4. Char

This is so shocking, but worse is all the horror and depth of Labour’s Grim sickening filth, it appears to be infested right from the top, perhaps operation Yewtree needs to dig deep into Labour’s alleged Pedophilia ring?

a Google search reveals some websites below, it’s horrific if true?

Some of this is extreme stuff, where does it all come from, no smoke without fire comes to mind.
    The public are not safe.

  5. Robert Pemberton

Why can’t the these 3 wise, caring, pc politicians simply explain what they were doing or not doing with this quite revolting group called PIE in the seventies. Did they believe what they were doing was worth supporting or not. If not how did they distance themselves from the group.

Is Harriet Harman related to Lord Longford and did she gain her seemingly liberal views from that connection.

  6. Isabel

I agree, it is very strange that all this evil stuff has not been revealed by our Press. On the other hand perhaps it is not so strange. Many in the media are to the left and far-left of politics. It is amazing how many nasty things the BBC do not touch which are connected with Labour.

However, I am surprised that the Daily Mail, a conservative leaning paper, has not brought this up before. I read about these disgusting things some years ago, online, but not seen a mention in the papers or the BBC or Sky.

With reference to Gay marriage. Why did they have to take over a heterosexual ceremony? A marriage to me is still between a man and a women with the primary reason of procreation between the two spouses. It is nothing like a homosexual union. I really do not know who Cameron was trying to impress because many homosexuals stated that they never asked for this as they had just been given their Partnerships. Is Cameron TRYING to destroy the Conservative Party? He appears to have pushed most of the true Tories out of the Cabinet to the fringes of the Party. The LibDems would never have gone into coalition with the original true Conservatives. This Tory Party is not much different than the LibDems now. By the way, I am not a Tory voter.

  7. David

Why did Patricia Hewitt appoint so many scientologists to quangos and other influential organisations when she was in Power? Does she have an involvement in scientology?

    1. Stephen

      For example?

  8. Rex Mutt

Power corrupts and the powerful corruptors of our lives are the evil ‘elected’.

  9. Brad F

Paedophiles are paedophiles at the end of the day, not any normal thinking person in this strange world would even want to imagine harming a child let alone sexually abusing children. Government or no government, this world is corrupt and each to there own. You have got to look after yourself as nobody else will look after you or your children. I believe Paedophiles have been around for a long time and its gets dealt with differently in many country’s across the world. Its a disgusting thing and completely unimaginable but some humans brains cannot function accordingly and a small minority of the people take it upon themselves to sexually abuse children. In all eyes and religions this is wrong and those who think differently should suffer the consequences. If you perform a sexual act on a child or planning too should face life imprisonment as this would be a danger to future society, a leopard never changes its spots!

    1. Stephen

Incredibly, paedophiles do not regard what they do as harming the child. Even if the child then grows up homosexual as a result of the abuse, they (and probably our government as well) will not see that as ‘harm’. I believe that the power of Christ can help the leopard change its spots, but without that, recidivism is rife amongst paedophiles.

  10. linda

I agree with you completely … have you see the website …. wwwlabour25.co.uk ?

This shows very clearly the truly hideous truth about THE LABOUR PARTY .

  11. Robert Morgan

What do you suggest, vote Tory?

  12. Stephen

Vote for the party which gave us ‘gay marriage’. Interesting suggestion.

  13. diane

YES.. and I think they are as useless as each other.
but please, surely, these despicable people, that think disgusting sick vile paedophiles , have the right to do what they want, sexualy to our innocent children, or even have a voice, may as well hold that child down, while these monsters do what they want
