The First Woman Dies – And For What?

The death of Cpl Sarah Bryant in Afghanistan has again thrown the Armed Forces’ policy of allowing women to serve in action into stark relief.

Stephen Green, National Director of Christian Voice, said tonight:

‘It has been rightly said that any country which asks its women to fight for it is not worth fighting for. It was bad enough that hundreds of young British men have been sacrificed to be killed or maimed in Iraq and Afghanistan , but now a young wife has had her life taken.

‘If we have some strategic interest in Afghanistan , let the politicians tell us what it is. If it is an oil pipeline, let’s hear it. And if bringing ‘Democracy’ to far-away places with strange-sounding names is in our strategic interest, why don’t they explain how, exactly?

‘If it is just ‘Democracy’ for its own sake, why aren’t we extending our generosity to Zimbabwe, a Commonwealth country where we actually have friends and relations? In fact, why don’t we deploy all the troops at present being viewed as an occupying army in Iraq and Afghanistan into Zimbabwe, where they would be rightly seen as liberators?’

Succession Rules ‘Sexist’ Says Libdem MP

The law on royal succession which puts any son ahead of his elder sister are under attack again. Jeffrey, Lord Archer was the last parliamentarian to introduce a bill to change the rules before he was sent to prison.

Now Vera Baird, the Solicitor General has weighed in with an extraordinarily patronising statement that ‘what we have to do with the Royal Family is integrate them as far as possible into the human race.’ The ban on the monarch marrying a Roman Catholic is also ‘discriminatory’. A Single Equality Bill expected later this year may include measures to change both practises.

Libdem equality ‘spokesperson’, Lynne Featherstone MP, said a reform on the succession rules would receive cross-party support. ‘We can’t allow a blatantly sexist law on royal succession to continue,’ she said, ‘Let’s confine this outdated message that men are better than women to the dustbin of history.’

Even the Queen is said to be supportive of the change, which would only affect the children of Prince William, in the event he were to succeed and sire a legitimate daughter before a son. In fact, by the time Her Majesty’s great grand-child is due to succeed to what is left of the throne, Britain could be a very different place, so on one level to change the rules does not matter.

However, it will not have escaped the notice of those agitating for this change that the order of succession derives from the Christian faith. The Crown is treated in our law as property to be inherited which means the principles established in the case of Zelophehad’s Daughters apply. Numbers 27:8 established that inheritance should pass to the daughters if a man died and had no son. And whether the feminocracy like it or not, God made the man to rule over the woman. As it happens, they don’t like it, so this move to change the law is one more instance of overturning God’s created order and chipping away at our Christian Constitution.

The bulk of the human race to which the Royal Family is being invited to join is actually quite happy to see the man as head of the household. Businesses pass to sons along with aristocratic titles. and a woman marrying will take her husband’s name, as Lynne Featherstone (née Ryness) and Vera Baird (née Thomas) will no doubt testify.

Megamosque Prayer Next Saturday 6th October 2007

0

A morning prayer meeting at the proposed megamosque site in West Ham, London E15.

Prayer changes things.  Or rather, God changes things in answer to prayer.  Less than a week after our September prayer meeting, the Times published an article showing how the hardline Muslim Deobandi sect, of which the group behind the megamosque forms part, is in charge of almost half of Britain’s mosques:

Tablighi Jamaat, the group concerned, went on a charm offensive in July.

But Tablighi Jamaat was founded by a Deobandi scholar and it is undeniable that they are part of the Deobandi school.

Despite bizarre UK government denials, Tablighi Jamaat sponsors and encourages terrorism here and abroad.  Several British Muslim bombers have attended its schools and mosques. (See this report.)

In the UK , Tablighi Jamaat has virtually taken over the town of Dewsbury , the location of its European headquarters, complete with mosque and Islamic teaching school or ‘madrassa’.  The mosque was built with the Saudi money of the World Muslim League (see just above ‘Wolf in Sheep’s Clothing’ in this article)

With the threat of a planning application for the megamosque any day now, the need for prayer at the site, which is less than a mile from the 2012 Olympic village, is urgent.  Certainly, one can pray in church or at home, but the act of going to the site has a spiritual dimension.  It focuses our prayer and the effort of going shows God our prayer is serious, an important matter when we are praying for miracles.  And we believe our prayer is having results.  It is being felt in the existing mosque, a collection of old industrial buildings, and our prayers for confusion have, we believe, already disrupted the megamosque plans. We have also prayed in support of local councillor Alan Craig, whom the Lord has placed in Newham’s council chamber for just such a time as this. (See ‘Fears grow over Mega Mosque’)

Where and When: Meet outside West Ham Station from 10.00am to move off at 10.30am sharp on Saturday 6th October.  We shall finish around 12.30.  West Ham is between 20 minutes and half-an-hour from stations like Liverpool Street , Kings Cross and Paddington on the Hammersmith & City Line, Victoria on the District Line, Stratford , Waterloo and London Bridge on the Jubilee Line, and is on the Essex-bound line out of  Fenchurch Street . If you go to multimap and enter E15 3BN you can see West Ham Station and the actual mosque site to the north-west of the station.  Those coming from the west on the District line see the site on the left approaching the station. If you are late coming to West Ham, turn right and right again out of the station, walk a short way down Manor Road, cross the roundabout, turn right under the ‘Greenway’ sign onto a path, go left up the steps, then left again at the top.

We shall be overlooking the site, planning to praise the Lord Jesus Christ, seek the Lord for the United Kingdom, proclaim Christ’s Lordship over our land, bring our broken nation and its suffering people before Him, pray for justice and righteousness, peace and mercy, and for national repentance.  We may even blow a shofar!  Love for God and for our neighbour is what motivates us, so while we shall pray against Islam, we shall also pray for salvation for Muslims and for them to be brought into the kingdom of God by faith in the incarnate Son of God, the crucified, risen, ascended Lord Jesus Christ.

Finally please pray for good numbers to attend and please seek the Lord about coming yourself to the megamosque prayer morning.

Read Deut 5:6-21, 8:19; Psalm 10:16-18, 80:3-7; Isa 42:8, 56:1; Matt 4:10, 6:33; Rev 7:9-17, 19:1-16.

Bloody Bible Ad Reprinted in Humanist Rag

0

The Gay Police Association’s notorious ‘Bloody Bible’ advertisement, condemned last year by the Advertising Standards Authority, has been re-run in a homosexual magazine, leading to a renewed complaint to the ASA from the organisation Christian Voice.

The ad, which depicted a Bible and a pool of blood under the headline ‘in the name of the father’, claimed a 74% increase in ‘homophobic incidents’ in a year, giving the impression that Christians were subjecting homosexuals to bloody attacks.

Responding to a string of complaints, the Advertising Standards Authority discovered that the Gay Police Association, a recognised police staff association in receipt of thousands of pounds of taxpayers’ money, could not provide any figures to substantiate its preposterous claims. In October 2006 the ASA upheld complaints against the GPA on the grounds of decency, lack of substantiation, and crucially, truthfulness.

But now the advert has re-appeared in full colour on the back page of the Summer 2007 edition of the ‘Gay Humanist Quarterly’ which is distributed widely within the homosexual network and was on open display earlier this month at the Cardiff ‘Mardi Gras’.

In the advertisement, with only the figure changed from last year’s version, the GPA claims a ‘75% increase’ in ‘homophobic incidents, where the sole or primary motivating factor was the religious belief of the perpetrator’.

Last year, in answer to the demands of the ASA, the homosexual police were unable to say how many of those incidents arose from Christian belief, how many, if any, involved violence, what proportion resulted in a court conviction for violence or at the very least a criminal charge, or indeed, to substantiate the figures at all.

Without any factual backup, the figures alleged became little more than the figment of fevered imaginations, leading the ASA to rule that the Gay Police had failed the tests of substantiation and truthfulness, branding them, in plain terms, a bunch of liars.

Stephen Green, National Director of Christian Voice, said today:

‘Without the figures, the Gay Police Association’s central claim that Christians are using the Bible to justify an increasing number of bloody attacks on homosexuals was always indefensible. The ASA ruling last year was a welcome vindication for those of us who knew all the time that the Gay Police had been tipped over the edge into what appeared to be collective insanity.

‘But now, one year on, we find the same advertisement – curiously with the figure changed from 74% to 75% – in the Gay Humanist Quarterly. Obviously, the atheists in the ‘Gay & Lesbian Humanist Association’ – GALHA – have a lot in common with the members of the Gay Police Association. An irrational hatred of all things Christian and a complete disregard for truth and accuracy are among them. With no fear of God and hence no idea of objective right or wrong or dread of a Day of Judgment, atheists can lie to their hearts’ content. Sadly, by reprinting an advert already condemned as untruthful by the ASA they have proved the point.

‘Despite saying that, I am still shocked at the cavalier disregard for truth and accuracy within the ranks of the GPA and GALHA. Plainly, that verse in the New Testament which says, ‘Thou shalt not bear false witness’ is as difficult for them to get their minds around as the one which says ‘Thou shalt not lie with mankind as with womankind’ or the one which describes homosexual desires as ‘vile affections’. How they need conviction of their sin and to find forgiveness and the love of God in the Lord Jesus Christ.

‘But how deep is the hatred which the reprinting of the Bible ad shows to be seething in homosexual police officers against the peaceful, Christian law-abiding section of the population. This must spill over into their everyday policing and affect their judgment and their ability to testify honestly. To protect the public, I believe the police should remove officers prejudiced by such a personality flaw from duty.

”A couple of years ago, we suggested in a our booklet Homosexuality and the Police that homosexual police officers were living a lie and could not be trusted to tell the truth in Court. GALHA and the GPA have proved our point.’

Link to ASA: http://www.asa.org.uk/asa/adjudications/Public/TF_ADJ_41843.htm

The ‘Bible ad’ was placed by the Gay Police Association in The Independent newspaper on 29th June 2006. The advertisement carried a picture of a book with ‘HOLY BIBLE’ written on it, and a pool of what was clearly intended to look like blood. It was headed (all lower-case) ‘in the name of the father’, a very obvious reference to the Christian faith. It said, inter alia:

‘In the last 12 months, the Gay Police Association has recorded a 74% increase in homophobic incidents, where the sole or primary motivating factor was the religious belief of the perpetrator.’

In a letter dated 13th July 2006, sent to the Gay Police Association care of British Monomarks, the National Director of Christian Voice asked the GPA:

(a) To give figures to support the alleged 74% increase in ‘homophobic incidents, where the sole or primary motivating factor was the religious belief of the perpetrator’ in the months May 2005 to May 2006, and to state the force(s) or jurisdiction(s) in which this increase occurred,

(b) To categorise these alleged incidents by the recorded religious faith of the perpetrator,

(c) To state in how many of these alleged incidents there was violence,

(d) To state in how many of these alleged incidents there was the shedding of blood.

(e) To state how many of these alleged incidents went to court with a conviction secured,

(f) To state how the Gay Police Association complied the figures and whether or not that body is charged with the compilation of crime figures,

(g) To categorise ‘homophobic incidents’ further and by year since they have been recorded,

(h) To state whether the constitution of the Gay Police Association has as a statement of purpose the stirring up of religious hatred.

There was no reply.

Zoo ‘Gay Sunday’ Condemned as ‘Discriminatory’

1

London Zoo’s ‘Gay Sunday’, where homosexuals gained an additional discount and extra facilities at the venue, has been condemned by a Christian group.

Christian Voice said the event was ‘blatantly discriminatory’ and called for a similar event where families with children would be given the same discount and the same access to events as the homosexuals.

Members of the group held a witness outside the Zoo and gave out leaflets with the headline: ‘No favouritism for gays – we say discounts for all at London Zoo!’

Gay Sunday, which was only advertised in the homosexual press, and which could only be booked via a special page on the London Zoo website, involved the Zoo giving homosexuals:

  • A staggering 20% discount,
  • Access to the Mappin Terraces, where the bears are housed,
  • Admission both to the VIP chill-out lounge in the Mappin Pavilion, and to the prestigious Members’ Lawn and Terrace,
  • An ‘exclusive garden party’ – that’s how London Zoo described it – with a barbecue and a bar, and
  • A live band.

Stephen Green, National Director of Christian Voice, said today:

“London Zoo already charges enough – it costs £11.00, without the voluntary donation, just to get a 3-year-old child into the Zoo. Adults – that’s anyone 16 or over – are £14.50.

“OK, there is a 10% discount if you book online, but those booking online for ‘Gay Sunday’ had a whopping 20% off. They only paid £11.60, which is £1.45 less than the £13.05 everyone else has to pay when they book online.

“Incredibly, by paying less, the gays got more. The ordinary punter didn’t have an exclusive garden party or a barbecue – they had to queue for their overpriced food and drink with everyone else,

“They weren’t entertained by a live band, they weren’t treated like a VIP in the chill-out lounge in the Mappin Pavilion, and as for getting into the Members’ Lawn and Terrace – that was for the favoured few on ‘Gay Sunday’.

“Nor did the paying public have their normal view of the animals up on the Mappin Terraces. That was only open to those with a ‘Gay Sunday’ wristband. Ordinary folk booking online weren’t told part of the Zoo would be shut off.

“This event was only advertised in the homosexual press, notably in the ‘Pink Paper’, which was partnering London Zoo for the event. Latterly, posters were put up at London Zoo, which might have acted as a warning to those with children to avoid Sunday 16th altogether. A picture in the press last week showed that Guy the Gorilla was somewhat under-impressed by the posters.

“London Zoo should not treat homosexuals as a favoured group. Everyone should have had entrance to a smart garden party on the Mappin Terraces, get the best view of all the animals and have had free admission to the Members’ Lawn and Terrace, or nobody should have done.

“Even more to the point, everyone booking on a particular day should have the same online discount. It is blatantly discriminatory to have a special 20% discount only available to those who read homosexual newspapers.

“Although the Zoo website claimed ‘Gay Sunday’ is open to ‘people of all sexual orientations,’ in practice, only those ‘in the know’ about it clicked on it, and if ordinary people, especially those with children, found the page by accident or in the ‘events’ page, they were unlikely to take themselves along to an event like that.

“The bottom line is, London Zoo should treat everyone the same. There should have been an automatic 20% discount for everyone on the primary booking page for London Zoo for this day with a 10% discount on the turnstiles for those just turning up, who are mainly the tourists the Zoo is trying to attract. There should have been entertainment and a barbecue for everyone and the Mappin Terraces should have been fully open to the paying public as usual. Nor should it have encouraged homosexuals as a group or have been called ‘Gay Sunday’.

“Either that, or the Zoo should now have a ‘Family Sunday’ where people with children get in cheap and are treated like VIP’s. After all, a mere 1% of the population is homosexual. Why should they get preferred treatment? We should be creating a more family-friendly environment to encourage tourists to visit London . In fact, London Zoo is overwhelmingly patronised by people with children, and is hardly the most appropriate place for a ‘Gay Sunday’ anyway.

“The irony is, the Government brought in a law earlier this year to ban discrimination against homosexuals. Now we see it working out: in Britain , homosexuals may not be discriminated against, but a family venue like London Zoo can discriminate in their favour. It just isn’t right.”

People waiting to enter the Zoo just before 10am as the shutters are being raised. Many families with children go to this major London attraction. Did parents really want them exposed to the depravity of homosexuality?

The Member's Lawn. A sign says: 'This lawn is reserved for the use of Fellows and Friends of ZSL' (Zoological Society of London). And, as it happens, for homosexuals as well on Gay Sunday.
The Mappin Terraces. The public were excluded from seeing the animals up here on Gay Sunday while the gays had their Zoo-sponsored party, live band and barbecue. The privileged few could also chill out in the VIP lounge and sip a cool beer in the pavilion on the left of the picture.
Watch out for the vultures. A mum like this pays £36.50 on the gate to get herself and two 3-15 year-old children into the Zoo, £14.50 for her and £11.00 each for them. Food in the Zoo, face-painting for the kids, is all extra and expensive. Those booking for 'Gay Sunday' paid just £11.45 each.

Cardiff Mardi Gras 2007 – Report

0

Stephen Green, National Director of Christian Voice, said today:

“As expected, we had an entirely peaceful and good-natured evangelistic outreach on Saturday 1st September this year at the Cardiff Mardi Gras, the only homosexual event in Wales . South Wales Police made clear they had learnt lessons from last year and the ‘Minorities Support Unit’ was nowhere to be seen! Around 16 good souls came mostly from Wales from also from England and Scotland . The greater numbers were as a result of my arrest last year; Christians are increasingly standing together and refusing to be silenced by the politically-correct establishment.

“Around half went into the event and listened and talked to those from all backgrounds and persuasions while the rest of us remained at the gates and gave out an updated version of last year’s now-famous evangelistic tract with the so-catchy title: ‘Same-sex love, same-sex sex, what does the Bible say?’ (The one I was arrested last year for handing out).

“The leaflet has probably had its day now, and I should love to see a glossy tract with testimonies of ex-gay men and women next year. The accounts of those who have walked away from the homosexual lifestyle are highly challenging to homosexuals. Gay activists have to pretend the ex-gays do not exist, and they refuse to accept their stories, simply because they give the lie to the ‘born that way’ myth.

“However, our leaflet as it is struck terror into the stewards, who brought out a shredder and encouraged the punters to throw the ‘homophobic literature’ away without reading it. So much for freedom of speech. That led to a complaint from us, and they finally desisted at the request of the police. But that episode was encouraging as it showed the power of a simple Gospel tract and the lengths homosexuals will go to, to prevent the truth of their sad condition, their unholy desires and sinful practices coming out, as it were.

“It also allowed us to present the leaflet to the public as ‘the one they want to ban’ and I was suggesting people put them quickly into their pockets or bags and not let them be seen inside. The young people – and there were a lot of heterosexual kids going to the ‘Mardi Gras’ because they had nothing better to do – especially liked the idea of receiving a rather dangerous leaflet.

“One disappointing note: Cardiff City Church (United Reformed), had a pro-gay stand. Their minister became quite angry with the evangelists, and hated looking at the word of God. Some of his people were even ripping up our leaflets, such was their contempt for the saving blood of the Lord Jesus Christ mentioned therein. ‘The gays’ have apparently taken the building over and turned it into something distinctly less than a Christian church. Even the slogan on their teeshirts was, Godless, humanistic and antinomian: ‘Be yourself’. Personally, having tried that and found it to lead to the brink of hell, I believe God would rather me be what He wants me to be.

“But there were good conversations with people and we were united in joyful fellowship and prayer both before and after the event. Roll on next year!”

Police receive writ on eve of Mardi Gras

The Chief Constable of South Wales Police has been served with a High Court writ on the eve of this year’s homosexual ‘Mardi Gras’ in Cardiff, just as evangelists are gearing up for another witness and outreach at the event.

The writ seeks to establish that the police may not use the provisions of statute law, in particular of the Public Order Act 1986, to curtail freedom of speech and freedom of religious expression.

It comes exactly a year after Christian evangelist Stephen Green was arrested under Section 5 of the Act by the Force’s ‘Minority Support Group’ in 2006 and charged with using ‘threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour’ causing ‘harassment alarm or distress’ just for peacefully and quietly handing out evangelistic leaflets. All charges were later dropped by an embarrassed Crown Prosecution Service, and Green has said he will bring a County Court action against South Wales Police for wrongful arrest, unlawful imprisonment and malicious prosecution.

Stephen Green, who is National Director of the prayer and lobby group Christian Voice, said this morning:

‘Drag Queens’ at Cardiff Mardi Gras

‘I cannot believe that the police would be so oppressive or stupid as to arrest any of the team today, but we shall see.

‘All we intend doing is handing out a very similar leaflet to last year’s, showing that the Bible is opposed to homosexuality, that it is not the unforgivable sin, and that everyone can and should find forgiveness and healing in the Lord Jesus Christ. It is a standard Gospel message and impossible for the police to object to. I also hope that evangelists will go into the event itself – which is in a public park and is an open forum – to share the good news of Jesus Christ. In fact, the Cardiff Mardi Gras website claims to welcome ‘all people without judgment or prejudice’ so that must include us!

‘The only trouble is, South Wales Police set up a special section, the ‘Minorities Support Unit’, which is dedicated to supporting homosexuals against anyone who might ruffle their feathers. I think Inspector Chadd, who heads it up, got a bit carried away with an inflated sense of his own importance last year.

Stall at Cardiff Mardi Gras 2005

‘Of course if the police can use an Act of Parliament brought in to deal with football-related violence against entirely peaceful Christian evangelists then we are heading down the road to a police state, with all the repressive attitudes that implies. ‘So the purpose of our High Court action is to establish the principle that freedom of speech and freedom to express religious beliefs are not negotiable and may not be taken away on the whim of partisan police officers.

‘At the end of the day, we pray that the Gospel will go out in power and that sinners will repent and find salvation in the only name under heaven by which we can be saved, that of the Lord Jesus Christ. And of course we pray for the day when the abomination and disgrace of a homosexual event is never seen in our capital city again.’

Brighton Pride Witness Touches A Nerve

0

A Christian witness at the ‘gay and lesbian’ ‘Brighton Pride’ touched a nerve on Saturday 4th August this year. Brighton ‘Gay Pride’ is billed as Europe’s biggest homosexual event, but the thousands of homosexuals took great exception to a small witness of just 20 Christians at the southern entrance to the City’s Preston Park .

‘Shame on you’, chanted an overweight man, clutching his ‘boyfriend’s’ hand, seemingly unaware of the paradox of accusing others of shame while foaming out his own shame (Jude 1:13). Such perversion merely demonstrates the truth of the Bible when it says ‘the unjust knoweth no shame’ (Zeph 3:5). The Apostle Paul also writes of those ‘Whose end is destruction, whose God is their belly (Greek ‘koilia’) and whose glory is in their shame’ (Phil 3:19).

A small contingent of police officers facilitated the lawful Christian witness and prevented disorder. Arrests were made of a couple of individuals among a number whose enthusiasm for the principles of diversity, possibly enhanced by some alcoholic refreshment, compelled them to launch bottles and cans, most of them empty, at the Christians.

Others vented their hatred by yelling ‘Where are the lions?’ Things have not changed that much since the early Christians paid the ultimate price by objecting to the Roman concept of multifaith diversity and insisting ‘Jesus Christ is Lord’.

Obeying the Scriptural example from Psalm 20:5, ‘in the name of our God we will set up our banners,’ a number of placards were on display, with Bible verses only, from the King James (or ‘Authorised’) Version, as agreed with the police. Apart from one text, Mark 10:6-8, where the Lord Jesus endorsed heterosexual love and marriage in the God-given ‘one-flesh’ union, all the large texts were verses dealing with salvation in the name of Jesus Christ.

Stephen Green, National Director of Christian Voice, said today: ‘Last year, when our successful campaign against Jerry Springer the Opera finished up in Brighton , we were accused by homosexuals attending the doomed production of wanting to stifle free speech. I guess I shouldn’t be too shocked at the hypocrisy of the same people doing everything they could to silence our freedom of speech at the Brighton Gay Pride this year.

‘However, Sussex Police ensured there was no ‘heckler’s veto’ and safeguarded our right to freedom of association, freedom of religion and freedom of expression. The approach of the senior officer on the day was all the more commendable as his own Chief of Police, Joe Edwards, unprofessionally identified the whole Sussex force with homosexuality by walking with the liars of the Gay Police Association at the head of the parade.

‘Edwards did the same thing last year. It really beggars belief that a chief police officer would rather see decadence and depravity on his patch than righteousness, but as they say up north, “there’s nowt so queer as folk.”

‘Earlier on, before the parade turned up, we had some really good and constructive conversations sharing the Gospel with all manner of people. There was also the opportunity for some preaching and we gave out a good number of the famous “Same-sex love, same-sex sex, what does the Bible say?” leaflets.

‘In contrast to South Wales Police, where I was wrongfully arrested last September for handing out the very same evangelistic leaflets, in Brighton I gave them out in full view of the police with no trouble whatsoever.’

Inside Preston Park , there were stalls representing no fewer than seven police forces. Kent, Essex, the Metropolitan Police, Wiltshire, Hertfordshire, Devon & Cornwall (quite a drive) and Sussex, showing off their new Lotus police car, all had stands proclaiming their commitment to diversity and their desire to help homosexuals fabricate allegations of ‘homophobia’ against all who displease them.

Stephen Green continued: ‘It would be amusing in a way if our entirely lawful witness were reported by some sad individual to the same police force who policed it and then logged by them as a homophobic incident. Then again, nothing homosexual activists or the police do these days would surprise me. I wonder if it even embarrassed the police that other stands near theirs revealed the depths of depravity of the homosexual mind.

‘As I wandered around, I lost count of the number of outlets selling sexual paraphernalia, articles designed for penetration, drugs called ‘poppers’ which supposedly enhance sexual activity, ‘viagra’ for those who can’t quite manage it, lubrication to facilitate sodomy, fetish clothing, leather bondage harnesses, and even apparatus to inflict pain.

‘The whole thing revolved around sex, and there were people arriving with their children as if it were just a school PTA family fête. Here was a show celebrating all that is most depraved in human sexuality, with stalls selling imitation male body parts not from under the counter but on open display at a child’s eye’s height, and people were so stupid or irresponsible or careless of those whom the good Lord has placed in their parental care that they were taking little children in to view it all.

‘Can the judgment of God be long in coming on such a depraved, immoral, nation as Britain is today? Not only do we allow evil to flourish, we encourage it at the highest levels, we fawn over it, we almost worship it, we take our children along to corrupt their innocence by immersing them in it. Woe on us all.

Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved. (Acts 4:12)

For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth. (Romans 1:16)

For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. (Romans 6:23)

  • Vavoom Bar and V2 club (a ‘den of fabulousness’ with ‘cute topless barmen’, ‘double guest rooms’ upstairs and ‘karaoke with Miss Joyride’. Thanks for the warning.)

Footnote: What were the National Front doing turning up half-way down the parade? Homosexuals are not black or Asian as a rule, they are overwhelmingly white, and therefore totally scrumptious from a National Front point of view. If the NF get too close to where we are any time, they’ll prompt some preaching against racism from Acts 17:26 and Eph 3:15. Seems they didn’t do desperately well, if you can believe their report.

Funny how the NF have just picked up on the idea of protesting at gay pride events, three years after we started in London 2005. Could it be that some homosexual in the NF has worked out that their presence could devalue ours? No, they aren’t that bright, surely? But just maybe the spirit of homosexuality is still as inseparable from national socialism as it was when the Nazi Party began its obscene life in a Munich gay bar.  ttp://www.leaderu.com/jhs/lively.html

Police Group Links to Spoof Website

A police advisory body promoting homosexuality and the reporting of ‘homophobic incidents’ placed a hyperlink on its own website to a satirical website sending up the whole idea of diversity and hate crime, Christian Voice has learned.

The Independent Advisory Group, which liaises with Hertfordshire Police, linked to Christian Voice’s True Vision website.

Twenty-four hours after they noticed the link was to the wrong site, they changed it – but google still has the cached version.

Christian Voice designed www.true-vision.org.uk when David Blunkett was Home Secretary, as a foil to the Orwellian-sounding police ‘True Vision’ project. ‘True Vision’ was intended to get more homosexuals reporting instances of ‘homophobia’.  The site has been up so long some of the live web-links don’t work anymore, but its message is still crystal-clear.

The True-Vision.org.uk site makes it very clear that it is a satirical send-up of the police, with post-Iraq headings like ‘Bible passages can be deployed in 45 seconds’ and police-speak taken to absurdity as in ‘Christianity – together we’ll crack it’. However, it quotes a real police hate crime manual which claimed ‘the infection of homophobia’ was transmitted in families mainly by the elderly and then suggests the elderly are ‘the most subversive people in Britain ‘.

The site has ‘True Vision Police’ saying they are ‘on the side of the LGBT community – in all its rich diversity’, describing Evangelical Christians as ‘a danger to pluralist Britain’ and the Bible as ‘a manual of hate-speech’ while bishops who feel tempted to talk about sin and the healing power of Jesus Christ are advised to keep ‘their heads down’. Finally, it says: ‘TRUE VISION Police just will not tolerate intolerance. Full stop.’

In case anyone doesn’t get it, at the bottom of the True-Vision.org.uk home page is a prominent paragraph explaining the reason for the site, alongside a categorical statement from Christian Voice claiming ownership of the site and showing that it is not official (together with a link to the real police site), and links to Christian ministries specialising in healing for the underlying pathologies which lead to homosexual feelings. Other site pages carry Biblical texts about sexuality and repentance.

Stephen Green, National Director of Christian Voice, said today: ‘Firstly, I completely deny the imaginative accusation of the IAG’s Greg Rattey, who is ‘Chair of East Herts Reflective Group’ whatever that is, and homosexual, that we hacked into the site www.hertsiag.co.uk  and put up the link ourselves.

‘There are two possibilities in reality. The most likely is that the IAG people are so stupid and incompetent that they failed to read the True-Vision.org.uk site before linking to it. But more worryingly, they may be so illiberal and Christianophobic that they agreed with every absurd over-the-top word. Greg Rattey’s own profile talks of “being able to confront religious extremes face on”. Perhaps he sees religious extremes lurking around every corner but cannot acknowledge how extreme he himself has become. Certainly, no reasonable person could possibly think that True-Vision.org.uk is anything other then a send-up of the hate-crime industry.’

The other links from the Herts IAG website are predictably politically-correct but well over half of them are to campaigning homosexual bodies: the Gay Police Association, recently denounced as liars by the Advertising Standards Authority over the ‘Bloody Bible’ ad, the Metropolitan Community ‘Church’, ‘Gay Jews’, ‘Gay Muslims’, Lesbian and Gay ‘Christians’ and ‘Out Everywhere.’

However, one link is to a homosexual club in St Albans known as ‘Fudge’ and there is another link on the ‘events’ page to a ‘LGBT pride’ event on 15th July 2006 at the same venue – although the photos show nobody except a lone IAG person, Chris Auker-Howlett. In one picture, an environment-damaging patio heater stands forlorn on a deserted terrace.

But Stephen Green concluded: ‘A more recent claim to infamy for ‘Fudge’ was the holding in September last year of a ‘traffic light party,’ where wearing the colour green was an announcement that the wearer was sexually available, combined with a “shag-tag night”. I wonder how many members of the Hertfordshire Independent Advisory Group arrayed in green shirts and ballgowns trolled down to their endorsed venue for that refined evening out.’

Gay Pride March 2007

2

Some 15,000 homosexuals and hangers-on paraded perversion through the streets of a rainy London on Saturday 30th July. Just two dozen Christians stood in dignified witness and preached the Gospel of repentance and salvation in the Lord Jesus Christ to those declaring their sin as Sodom .

In shame, some major British companies took part in the parade, with British Airways and Lloyds Bank taking the lead. Nationwide and Barclays Bank also jostled in with promiscuous lesbians and young men desperate for their looks not to fade. And of course the Gay Police Association, caught out lying in the Bloody Bible ad, took pride (going before a fall) of place. (See the full list below.)

It is now the 5th year in a row that homosexual policemen and women have dishonoured their uniform by associating it with the corruption of homosexuality. The banner of the Gay Police Association, so recently reprimanded for their dishonesty by the Advertising Standards Authority, was carried aloft. The Fire Service also could have deployed a fire engine better somewhere else (helping those made homeless by floods?) than in such a disgusting exhibition.

The Army Chief of Staff, General Sir Richard Dannatt, an infantry-man and a vice-president of the Officers’ Christian Union, and his Royal Air Force counterpart, the experienced jet pilot Air Chief Marshall Sir Glenn Torpy, banned their personnel from wearing their uniforms in the parade.

Sadly, the Admiralty did not follow the same example. The Royal Navy is a member of the divisive Stonewall Diversity Champions scheme, and a spokesman said they would be using the parade ‘as a recruitment opportunity.’ The parents of normal young men and women contemplating a career in the Senior Service might take note that, to borrow the famous words of Sir Winston Churchill, rum might be out of fashion, and the lash abolished, but Naval chiefs are still rather keen on sodomy aboard ship.

Given the Navy’s repellent, even if quite undeserved, reputation for institutionalised homosexuality typified by Sir Winston’s joke about ‘rum, sodomy and the lash’, one would have thought Admiral Sir Jonathan Band, Chief of the Naval Staff, would be trying to distance the Service under his command from the unpleasant ‘hello sailor’ stereotype. But perhaps, as one who last commanded a ship a distant ten years ago, the Admiral has forgotten the close proximity in which sailors exist and the opportunities for abuse of power that provides on board ship. Anyway, his decision is beyond sense or parody.

There were floats from government departments, national charities, trades unions, banks, airlines – all wanting to show how politically-correct they are – alongside those of homosexual clubs. And then there were the marchers themselves, transvestites competing with body-building clones for attention, all flash on the outside, empty on the inside.

Stephen Green, National Director of Christian Voice, commented: ‘How these poor people need the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and how our nation needs to repent of its corporate sin. Facing thousands of gesticulating, hate-filled, aggressive gays, observing so many hell-bound souls and watching as such a degrading spectacle goes by is not a pleasant experience. But if Christians do not voice some disapproval of national sin, as the Holy Spirit-filled prophets did in their day, we aren’t fulfilling our calling of being salt or light. In a dysfunctional nation already under judgment, who knows what worse judgment than what we have already might come if we do not keep up our prayer and witness against evil. So it isn’t nice to do, but there is a sense in which prophetic witness is a bit like cleaning out the toilets – it’s a mucky job, but someone has to do it.’

Labour Figures’ Bizarre Link to Paedophile Groups

Their involvement with an organisation to which two groups campaigning for the legalisation of paedophilia were affiliated has come back to challenge three leading Labour Party figures.

Before she became an MP, Harriet Harman was the legal officer in the late 1970s for the National Council for Civil Liberties. When Miss Harman joined NCCL in 1978, PIE, the Paedophile Information Exchange, had already been affiliated for three years. Another group, Paedophile Action for Liberation, a Gay Liberation Front offshoot, had also been affiliated to NCCL until it was absorbed by PIE. PIE, which campaigned for adults to have sex legally with children, only broke off its relationship with NCCL when it went undercover in 1982, the same year that Harriet Harman left her NCCL post to become Member of Parliament for Peckham.

NCCL people were earlier involved in keeping the name of an NCCL council-member, Jonathan Walters, out of the People newspaper when it ran an exposé of Paedophile Action for Liberation, of which he was secretary, in 1975. The People still ran the story, but Walters was not named.

Even more extraordinary is the fact that a current Cabinet Minister was running the National Council of Civil Liberties at the time all this was going on.

The Rt Hon Patricia Hewitt MP, Secretary of State for Health, became General Secretary of NCCL in 1974. The very next year, 1975, NCCL invited the Paedophile Information Exchange and Paedophile Action for Liberation to affiliate. In the year after, 1976, the now-notorious paedophile Tom O’Carroll was invited to address the NCCL conference, which promptly voted to ‘deplore’ the use of chemical castration treatments for paedophiles.

Also in 1975, Patricia Hewitt joined the Campaign for Homosexual Equality, as a ‘straight’, in the same year that Keith Hose of the Paedophile Information Exchange addressed its second annual conference. Hose moved a motion of censure on the conference organising committee for ‘relegating paedophilia to ancillary status in conference.’ The motion was seconded by Trevor Locke, who just happened to be a member of the Executive Council of the NCCL. ‘An awareness and acceptance of the sexuality of children is an essential part of the liberation of the young homosexual,’ the motion went on. It was duly passed.

Jack Dromey, whom Harriet Harman married in 1982, and who is now Treasurer of the Labour Party, was also involved with the NCCL. He served on its Executive Committee from 1970 to 1979, so he was there when the decision to invite the two paedophile groups to affiliate was made. NCCL also set up a gay rights sub-committee at the same time, members of which included prominent paedophiles Peter Bremner (alias Roger Nash), Michael Burbidge, Keith Hose and Tom O’Carroll. And of course Walters and Locke were on the Executive.

Stephen Green, National Director of Christian Voice, commented:

‘It is timely that the ghosts of the 1970’s past should come back to haunt these three leading Labour Party politicians. Harriet Harman, Jack Dromey and Patricia Hewitt were in their mid- or late-twenties at the time, but that cannot really excuse the way NCCL came to regard paedophiles as an oppressed minority whose civil liberties needed to be fought for.

‘All three of them really need to explain why they were so friendly toward so many out campaigning homosexual paedophiles in their youth. Why did they allow the NCCL gay rights sub-committee to be stuffed with them? Why were they happy to work with paedophilia supporters on the NCCL Executive? It cannot have been sympathy with child-molestation, so was it a complete lack of judgment or was it moral cowardice?

‘NCCL has now been rebranded as ‘Liberty’ and is doing great work standing up to the Government to defend the civil liberties of us all. But thirty years ago some rather peculiar things went on, and I think we should be told why.’

Christian Wins Wikipedia War Over Gay Police Lies

0

Days after the Advertising Standards Authority revealed that the most-complained-about advertisement of 2006 was the Gay Police Association’s infamous ‘Bloody Bible’ travesty, a Christian activist has won a battle over the GPA’s entry on Wikipedia, the online encyclopaedia which anyone may edit.

On Wednesday 16th May, Christian Voice activist Tony Bennett inserted three entirely factual paragraphs in the GPA entry. The paragraphs make painful reading for those who are not as other men are, as they record that the ASA came as close as it ever can to calling them a bunch of liars over the preposterous advertisement, which taken as a whole accused Christians of perpetrating a non-existent 74% increase in bloody attacks on homosexuals.Indeed, the ASA asked the GPA to substantiate their claims, and the homosexual upholders of law and order, whose evidence the courts rely on when sending villains to jail, were entirely unable to do so.

A GPA activist swooped at 9.35am on Thursday 17th May 2007 to remove the paragraphs, hopefully not while he should have been working away locking up school children for calling each other’s clothing ‘gay’. Undeterred, Bennett put the articles back in later that day, and made a few other corrections to the biased GPA entry. Before they are removed again, here are the Bennett paragraphs, recorded for posterity:

In 2006, an advert by the Gay Police Association in The Independent attracted a record number of complaints and was censured by the Advertising Standards Authority (ASA). The GPA advert showed a Bible lying next to a pool of blood, accompanied by the following text: “In the last 12 months, the Gay Police Association has recorded a 74% increase in homophobic incidents, where the sole or primary motivating factor was the religious belief of the perpetrator”. Over 500 separate complaints were made – a record. The ASA upheld three classes of complaints. First, the advert was considered to be “likely to cause offence to those readers who were Christian” and breached Clause 5.1 of the Code of Advertising Practice.

Second, the advert, “by featuring spilled blood prominently, wrongly suggested that all the reported incidents involved physical injury” and breached Clause 7.1 of the Code.

Third, the GPA was unable to substantiate the claims made in the advert – a further breach of the Code, this time of Clause 3.1.The ASA’s actions including ”telling the GPA to ensure future campaigns were not presented in a way that could cause undue offence, reminding them that they should ensure the use of imagery did not send misleading messages to consumers, and asking them to ensure any statistics could be substantiated”.

In their defence, which Bennett allowed them to put up as part of a cease-fire deal, the GPA said that they “refused to provide the ASA with the personal details of those individuals who had suffered faith-based homophobia as this would have breached confidentiality and potentially exposed more gay people to suffering and harm”.

But even that is mealy-mouthed dodging and weaving. The GPA could have provided its statistics without the ‘personal details’ if it had any to back up its claims of a ‘74% increase in homophobic incidents’, the central claim in the advert.  It didn’t because, frankly, it couldn’t.

If the GPA have difficulty separating fact from fiction, perhaps that is because the whole homosexual lifestyle is founded on a lie, on the fiction that homosexual activity is in some way equivalent to Almighty God’s institution of heterosexual love and marriage.

Last year, we suggested that the GPA lost their grip on reality partly as a result of our spoof ‘True Vision’ website.

The balance of their collective mind was also disturbed, we suggested, by the publication of our factual booklet ‘Homosexuality and the Police’.

The Wikipedia entry for the GPA also makes reference to an award named after Matthew Windibank, the GPA’s founder. Windibank was not a policeman, but a police-employed civilian race relations agitator who committed suicide at the age of 39 in a Brighton hotel room in 1999 because he was ‘unlucky in love’.  See http://archive.theargus.co.uk/1999/4/29/197949.html

Poor Windibank was treading a path familiar to homosexuals, as hope turns to despair in what Quentin Crisp described as the ‘vain’ search for true love from a real man. Psychologist Dr David Reuben once said homosexuals were ‘trying the impossible; solving the puzzle with only half the pieces.’ Homosexuals, he said, ‘are in a difficult position – condemned eternally to search after what does not exist – after what never existed.’ The scandal is that a group of sad, emotionally-disturbed people have been allowed to form a staff association, have had it recognised by the Home Office as official, and have received tens of thousands of pounds of public money to promote their perversion.

‘Irresponsible’ Navy Puts Mother at Risk

The Royal Navy’s decision to put a young mother at risk was condemned as ‘irresponsible’ tonight by a Christian prayer group a day after the woman in question, Faye Turney, was paraded on Iranian television and had an interview which was recorded hours before her capture published in a daily newspaper.

Mrs Turney, a Leading Seaman, was captured by Iranian forces last Friday along with 14 sailors from HMS Cornwall after boarding a vessel in the Shatt Al-Arab waterway.

Last night she was pictured clad in a Muslim head-dress and smoking a cigarette before speaking on camera. Despite UK Government insistence that the sailors had been on the Iraqi side, Mrs Turney was shown confessing to being in Iranian waters, raising concerns that some kind of pressure had been applied to her. She was the only one of the sailors who was broadcast and the only woman amongst those seized.

Stephen Green, National Director of Christian Voice, said tonight:

‘It seems beyond doubt that psychological pressure has been brought to bear against Mrs Turney, possibly by playing on her natural motherly desire to return to her three-year-old daughter. The Iranians must have read the article in Wednesday’s Independent and even if they had not already discovered Mrs Turney’s maternal status in questioning, they would not be slow in using that to their purpose.’

In the article, Mrs Turney, 26, admits she is missing seeing her little girl grow up. Journalist Terri Judd said, ‘When I encountered her on the deck on HMS Cornwall, the first subject she talked about was Molly – a theme she returned to often during our numerous conversations.’

Mrs Turney spoke of the excitement of piloting the Navy’s inflatable speedboats and of the possible dangers of the mission. ‘But it was Molly, her three-year-old daughter, that she spoke of most,’ wrote Terri Judd. ‘She described the guilt of leaving behind her “bubbly, head-strong” little girl to be looked after by her husband Adam, also serving in the Navy but based in Plymouth . But she believed emphatically that this sacrifice would give her daughter every opportunity in life.’

Stephen Green continued:

‘Mrs Turney’s husband is a Petty Officer, the naval equivalent of a sergeant. It is certain that he has work to do in Plymouth , so the reality is that Molly is in some kind of day-care. Although I realise that the Government has ensured through the crippling burden of taxation that all but the best-off families now need two incomes to survive, even the wages of a leading seaman cannot possibly compensate for the lack of a mother’s day-to-day love, care and sheer presence in a child’s life.

‘A more civilised age would also set more value on Mrs Turney’s duty to be at her husband’s side in his demanding job. When the Bible speaks of Eve as a ‘help meet’ for Adam it gives recognition not just to a deep human need but to the reality of a healthy male-female relationship.

‘As for the Admiralty, their conduct in placing a woman, let alone a young mother, in such danger is as irresponsible as it is politically correct. They have put the mother of a three-year-old at risk, and on top of that have allowed her to be captured by Muslim men who are known to hold women in utter contempt.

‘It isn’t clever, it isn’t modern, it isn’t liberated for this country’s menfolk to expect our women to fight for us, it is barbaric and an insult to the next generation for whom they should be caring. I am ashamed to be part of a nation which separates young mothers from their children and exposes them to harm in battle all to appease the god of equality.

I am praying for the sailors’ release, and especially for Mrs Turney to be reunited with her husband and her daughter. I shall also pray the Navy ensures she does not leave her daughter again, and that other young mothers in the Navy – and it would be interesting to know how many there are – will be brought home. May God have mercy on us for exposing our women to such danger and for abandoning a generation of infants to the vagaries of childcare.’

MSP Receives Award Named After Paedophile

1

A LibDem Member of the Scottish Parliament is demanding an award she was given be renamed, after revelations that it was instituted in honour of the co-founder of the Paedophile Information Exchange.

Scottish Liberal Democrat Margaret Smith was presented with the Ian Dunn Award by the Terrence Higgins Trust for her work promoting homosexual perversion. However, she has now demanded the award be renamed. One previous winner was Patrick Harvie MSP, who also wants the name of Ian Dunn excised from memory.

Dunn was caught on tape bragging abut interfering with a fourteen-year-old boy. The existence of the tape caused him to abandon a libel action he had brought against a Sunday newspaper, which named him as a paedophile. The encounter itself does not seem to have been a one-off – at his funeral in 1998, a young man claimed Dunn had raped him when he was fifteen. Dunn also supported a paedophile magazine called ‘Minor Problems.’

Nor is a predilection for adolescents just one corrupt facet of the character of this leading Scottish homosexual celebrity. Ian Dunn, an officiant of the Gay and Lesbian Humanist Association, editor of Gay Scotland and a leader of Outright Scotland, also had an interest in urination and coprophilia which was well-known in Scottish homosexual circles. He was sexually aroused by human excrement even to the extent of campaigning for the right to be able to import coprophiliac pornography.

The award is not the only posthumous honour Ian Dunn has been given by homosexuals in Scotland, Christian Voice has learned.

Dunn, who set up PIE in the 1970’s, has a meeting room named after him in the Glasgow LGBT centre. It has also taken nine years for the Scottish LGBT network to become concerned with his connection with PIE, and that only after the embarrassment caused to Margaret Smith. The Ian Dunn Award was first presented by Outright Scotland in the year of Dunn’s death as part of Pride Scotia, ‘for work towards gay rights’. The homosexual AIDS charity Terrence Higgins Trust now administers the Ian Dunn Award.

Stephen Green, National Director of Christian Voice, commented:

‘I actually met Ian Dunn just before he died, on a TV show in which we were both participating. I did not know him before, but he came up and introduced himself. He was outwardly a likeable and plausible man, standing some six foot three, but although he was a big man, there seemed to be a void in him. He was emotionally like a child himself, desperately searching for fulfilment. His involvement in paedophilia had of course been well-documented by the time I wrote about it in my own book “The Sexual Dead-End” in 1992.

‘It is undeniable that all those who set up paedophile groups in the 1970s were leading homosexual activists, which makes sense, as paedophilia is really only a logical extension of homosexuality. Many in the homosexual world do not regard an interest in 14- and 15-year-old boys as paedophilia, and think an adolescent is fair game. Dunn’s official obituary on the ScotsGay website (cited above) denies he was a paedophile, while still carrying the report about the fifteen-year-old at his funeral.

‘At the time of debates on the homosexual age of consent, a banner claiming to be from Outrage, the militant homosexual group set up by Peter Tatchell, said that 16 is “just the start”. Tatchell himself contributed a chapter to a book published in 1986 – Betrayal of Youth, edited by a PIE committee member – which advocated paedophilia.

‘Margaret Smith has done us all a favour by instituting a debate which has revealed a lot about the murky world of homosexuality. I call on her to send the Ian Dunn award back whether it is renamed of not and to sever all links with this network of people who clearly have no moral boundaries at all.’

Christian Voice has challenged Outright Scotland, Pride Scotia and the Terrence Higgins Trust to name previous winners of the Ian Dunn award.

Sex Led to Death, Court Told

2

Drunken sex in a dark alley led to one homosexual man’s death and the life imprisonment of another, Northampton Crown Court heard earlier this month.

Sentencing him, Judge Charles Wide QC told teenager James Hyland: ‘After a sexual encounter you lashed out.’ Hyland and his victim, Michael Farndon, left the Boston Clipper, a homosexual pick-up venue in Northampton, in the early hours after a Saturday night drinking session in July last year. They went to a nearby darkened alley for sex.

Afterwards, Hyland killed 45-year-old Farndon, a factory worker. Appearing for Hyland, William Harbage QC described his client as ‘a confused young man’ who was high on drugs and had been abusing alcohol.

Predictably, homosexuals in Northampton blamed Farndon’s death on ‘hate’ and the Boston Clipper itself held a fundraising evening, ‘Kiss goodbye to homophobia.’ last September.

Stephen Green, National Director of Christian Voice, said today:

‘Yet again, the murder of a man after a sexual encounter has shown that violence against homosexuals is prevalent within their own network. Indeed, homosexual activists have written of their initial disgust with themselves after sexual encounters but paradoxically of their need to seek out anonymous men and ‘rough trade’ for quick sex.

‘Ordinary people will find this abnormal drive perplexing, but in the homosexual network it is thought quite normal to go off with a perfect stranger for orgiastic satisfaction. The thrill of danger often adds to the excitement.

‘You would need a heart of stone not to feel compassion for such men. Christians ought to be reaching out with the Gospel of forgiveness and healing in Jesus Christ. As for those who make money out of gays pretending that all is fine with homosexuality and that is all the fault of those outside, they should have a good look at their consciences.’

Government Steamrollers Anti-Conscience Regulations

The Government last night rode roughshod over Christian conscience as they won a House of Lords vote on the Sexual Orientation Regulations.

A motion by Democratic Unionist Peer Lord Morrow to annul the Regulations was heavily defeated as the Government’s ‘pay-roll’ vote turned out in force.

The vote means that the Sexual Orientation Regulations are now law in Northern Ireland and will be introduced in England and Wales in April. Scotland will also follow suit.

The Regulations will force the owners of Christian businesses to offer goods and services to homosexuals against their conscience. A Christian photographer could face jail for refusing to take pictures of a civil partnership event. The owner of a guest house would be forced to allow two practising homosexuals to share a bed under his roof. A Christian printer would be acting illegally if he decides not to produce leaflets for a ‘gay pride’ march.

A similar trend is happening around the world. The government in Brazil is bringing in a similar law. Canada already has one, though nowhere near as draconian as ours, after a court ruled that freedom of conscience must take precedence.

During the House of Lords debate, around two thousand Christians held a torch-lit act of witness opposite the House of Lords to stand up for freedom of conscience and freedom of religion. The Rev Ian Paisley MP came across from the House of Commons to address the protestors. Earlier, a petition of 20,000 names was delivered to Her Majesty the Queen.

It is the fifth time Christians have gathered outside the Houses of Parliament in under eighteen months. In July and October 2005 and then in February 2006 hundreds came to pray against the Governments’ religious hatred proposals. The Government were famously defeated by one vote when the Prime Minister missed the final division. Last year also saw a witness against Lord Joffe’s Assisted Dying Bill.

Stephen Green, National Director of Christian Voice was at the witness. He said afterwards:

‘The Government and their ‘gay rights’ friends have no right to impose their morality, or lack of it, on the 99% of the population who are not that way inclined. Christians, members of other faiths and indeed of none cannot be forced to act against their conscience by providing services to those whose activities they find perverted, disgusting or simply against the clear, unequivocal word of God.

‘The Government have totally misunderstood our position. They think we shall back down. But for Christians, it’s a case of “Can’t pay, won’t pay.” In other words it’s not that we are merely refusing to go along with the Governments’ wickedness. It is that we cannot do it in all conscience. For us to offer our services to those who are carrying on against nature as the children of disobedience would be to deny our faith. We can not and will not do that.

‘Already, some churches have said they will close their adoption agencies altogether rather than place children in the hands of homosexuals. Others are planning to stop hiring out their church halls to outside events. It is the wider community which will suffer.

‘The Churches are saying to the Government, “If you want a fight, we’ll give you one”.’

Note: Christian Voice will support any believer or church caught by these anti-Christian regulations. Let us know if you face any problems because of them.

School Gay Promos Will be Opposed on the Ground

0

A Christian group has today promised that gay and lesbian promotions in schools and police action against students who use ‘gay’ to mean ‘as a term of abuse will be opposed.

The Home Office issued guidance last week for schools to hold ‘lesbian, gay, bisexual and transsexual awareness months’.  They claim that these will eliminate what is described as ‘homophobic’ bullying and build tolerance and diversity.

But Christian Voice has cast doubt on the reality of so-called ‘anti-gay’ bullying and has suggested that forcing homosexuality on children will foster, not tolerance, but resentment and anger.

Stephen Green, National Director Christian Voice, said today:

“The Government have no right to impose their morality, or lack of it, on the rest of us.  At a time when it appears to be a real challenge for the Government to get school children to learn the basics of mathematics and written communication, let alone any of the other proper subjects, to force perversion upon them is hardly a constructive use of school time.

“The Government want teachers to be picking on pupils, pupils and parents spying on teachers, the police catching young thought-criminals all in a scary echo of the worst of Soviet communism or Orwell’s 1984.

“When kids call each ‘gay’ or ‘lezzi’ in the playground, these are simply terms of abuse.  Such name-calling is no more ‘anti-gay’ than calling someone a ‘pikey’ is anti-Irish.  Children can be spiteful and will always look for the odd one out or for some point of weakness.  Teachers need to reassure the bullied that they are not homosexual or dirty just because someone calls them a stupid name.

“Overall, school anti-bullying policies need to be holistic, led by example, and informed, not by some vague ‘citizenship’ rubbish, but by reference to the Christian faith.  Anything else will end in failure.  We also need to recognise that the police coming in to quiz pupils who use words like ‘gay’ as a term for ‘rubbish’ is itself a form of bullying.

“If any pupils are interviewed by the police, Christian Voice will certainly give every assistance so they can bring legal action against the force concerned.  We shall also oppose any ‘Gay Week’ or ‘LGBT Fortnight’ or ‘Diversity Month’ we hear of.

“More than that, when parents or school students contact us, we can help them to organise their own ground-level opposition to such events, facilitate real discussion of the truth about homosexuality, start to build an understanding of chastity and Godly living, and generally counter darkness with light.

“Standing up to the godless secular elite in the name of righteousness is exactly what the Lord Jesus did in His day.  He exposed their hypocrisy, their corruption and the way they imposed burdens on ordinary people. The hatred which those in power have for the ways of God and their contempt for those they see as the lower classes remains the same today.   The bullying gays, the thought-police and the diversity czars need to be stood up to today.  By the grace of God alone we can do it.”

Archers Gay Wedding ‘A Big Turn-Off’

1

A Civil Partnership scene being broadcast this week in Britain’s longest-running soap was described today as ‘nauseating’ and ‘a big turn-off’ by a Christian prayer and lobby group.

Two characters from Radio 4’s ‘The Archers’, farmer Adam Macy and chef Ian Craig, are due to perform the ceremony on Thursday 14th December 2006.

Stephen Green, National Director of Christian Voice, said today:

“Personally, seeing a picture of actors Andrew Wincott and Stephen Kennedy dressed up in wedding suits holding their glasses of fizz made me feel quite queasy. It brought home the enormity of the nauseating pretence and perversion of a real wedding which every ‘civil partnership’ is.

“My hope is that the remaining faithful listeners of ‘The Archers’, those who have endured the plaintive politically-correct story-lines of the last few years will at last wake up and find something less grating to listen to.

“After all, the poor things are now agonising over the destruction of Ruth and David’s marriage. How Editor in Chief Vanessa (‘to be politically correct is to be moral’) Whitburn justifies the morality of that is a mystery.

“They have recently had to endure such crude propaganda story-lines as the racial harassment of Usha, the Indian lawyer parachuted into the village, Linda Snell’s feng-shui obsession and the repellent ‘gay kiss’ in the polytunnel.

“Earlier, Ambridge had a woman vicar before the ink was even dry on the Church of England’s decision. Like biblical Athens , Ambridge must always tell of ‘some new thing.’  Indeed, the whole show has forty years of pioneering ‘form’. After all, Jennifer’s baby out of wedlock paved the way for the rest of rural England , whilst her consideration of an abortion was just what the Elite ordered during the furore around the Abortion Act in 1967.

“I recognise that real ‘Archers’ addicts will find it hard to turn off. There will be those as fascinated as a rabbit caught in the headlights by ‘Adam’ and ‘Ian’ ‘tying the knot’. Others will listen with morbid curiosity like spectators slowing down to get a good view of a road crash.

“I for one will be avoiding ‘The Archers’.  I prefer art which edifies, elevates and encourages to that which debases, disgusts and depresses. In any case, just before dinner is the wrong time to be rushing to the loo to be sick.  I am praying for a ‘big turn off’ for ‘Adam’ and ‘Ian’s’ anti-Christian charade.

“On the other hand, do tell me if the latest vicar of Ambridge turns into a Christ-centred evangelical determined to take the whole Gospel of Jesus Christ by word and by example to the needy sinners of the BBC’s progressive hell-on-earth. Revival starting in Ambridge? OK, I shan’t be holding my breath.”

Police Spent £2,000 on Gay Rights Party

2

The Metropolitan Police spent over £2,000 on a party for gay rights activists, Christian Voice has learned.  The party, a reception for European activists, was hosted by the ‘Met’ on the eve of the London Gay Pride Parade, ‘Europride’, in July this year.  In answer to a Freedom of Information Act request from Christian Voice, the Met were forced only yesterday to disclose that they spent £2,172.25 – £22.86 per head – as 14 Met Police Officers entertained 39 European and 42 UK representatives of “LGBT/Pride/HumanRights/Church Organisations”.

£930 was spent on food, and £500 on ‘Music’.  Between them, the assembled police officers, of whom the most senior was Commander Steve Allen, head of the Met’s Violent Crime Directorate, and the homosexual activists sunk an amazing £462- worth of ‘house wine’ and £112-worth of beer, which must equate to a bottle of wine and at least a couple of bottles of beer each.

Stephen Green, National Director of Christian Voice, said: “I hope no-one was driving home after downing that lot.  Commander Allen must be aware of the link between alcohol and violent crime, and yet he set out to ply emotionally fragile people such as homosexual activists with drink.  The Police said they were concerned for our safety when we set up a Christian witness at ‘Europride’ in the light of a threat stated in a homosexual newspaper.  To fuel possible violence with drink is totally irresponsible.

“On top of that, the Metropolitan Police have squandered public money making themselves look ‘gay-friendly.’  The public do not expect the police to splash their money around sucking up to contentious political groups.”

However, the police officer who claimed that a threat he had seen against Christian Voice gave him reason to move the group’s Europride protest site back from the parade, Chief Inspector Steve Deehan, has been undermined by the Met’s inability to provide details of the paper in which the alleged threat was made, and their categorical statement that ‘no threat was made regarding the presence of Christian Voice or any other organisation at the Europride Parade’.

Stephen Green concluded: “When you can’t trust a police officer to tell you the truth, what is the world coming to?”
