It is two years on from the 7th October 2023 massacre of Jews by Hamas Muslims. As we went to press, hopes were rising that Donald Trump might broker some form of peace in the Holy Land, as Hamas and Israel appear to be on the verge of an agreement in which the remaining still-alive hostages are released.

Matt 5:9 Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God.

Nevertheless, earlier this week, across the United Kingdom, students were looking for anything but peace, marking the sombre anniversary by joyfully celebrating the death of Jews and calling for the annihilation of the state of Israel. How has antisemitism and worship of those whom the Bible writers would describe as ‘sons of belial’, literally ‘sons of worthlessness’, or worthless men, become mainstream among the UK’s young?

Rape ‘rebranded as resistance’

In Spiked Online, Georgina Mumford explains how feminists at Goldsmith’s College in London abandoned the female victims of Hamas and rebranded rape and mutilation as ‘resistance’. In fact, ‘rape’ hardly conveys the despicable actions of men it is hard to believe were made in the image of God. Read Georgina’s account, if you can bear it.

Psa 28:4 Give them according to their deeds, and according to the wickedness of their endeavours: give them after the work of their hands; render to them their desert.

In another article, Miss Mumford explains how ‘Around a dozen British universities held Palestine rallies to coincide with 7th October. … Several of London’s top institutions, including King’s College London, LSE, UCL and SOAS, marched through the city centre with flags and placards. … Students in Sheffield, Manchester, Edinburgh, Glasgow and Strathclyde were also on the march. … The supposed aim of these demos, as organisers for the Manchester University protest explained on Instagram, was to protest two years of “genocide, forced starvation, murder, ethnic cleansing, imprisonment, torture and settler colonialism”.’

Jewish neighbours living in fear

No, not by Hamas, but supposedly by Israel. The irony of chanting ‘From the River (Jordan) to the (Mediterranean) Sea, Palestine will be free’, free of Jews, that is, not Islam, and protesting about non-existent ‘genocide’ at the same time, is lost on these antisemitic hordes, who, again, lest we forget, are made in the image of the Almighty. Scripture says of them:

Isa 59:3 For your hands are defiled with blood, and your fingers with iniquity; your lips have spoken lies, your tongue hath muttered perverseness.

The students did all this on the exact anniversary and they were even out celebrating the Yom Kippur attack in Manchester just days earlier. No wonder our Jewish neighbours are living in fear.

Glasgow University ‘Justice for Palestine Society’ invited students to ‘celebrate the glorious Al-Aqsa flood’. That is the name given by Hamas to the 7th October massacre. A hijab-wearing Muslim girl in London wearing her university lanyard nonchalantly told LBC on camera that ‘freedom’ would come when all Jews ‘go back to where they were born’. ‘I don’t think their feelings are valid,’ she went on.

Isa 28:15 Because ye have said, We have made a covenant with death, and with hell are we at agreement;

Where the hatred comes from

Of course, it is relatively easy for anyone not blinded by multiculturalism to understand why Muslims wish death and destruction to Jews. It is written in to their religion. Here is the Hadith of al-Bukhari:
‘You (i.e. Muslims) will fight against the Jews and you will gain victory over them. The stones will (betray them) saying: ‘O, Abdullah (i.e. slave of Allah)! There is a Jew hiding behind me; so kill him.’ (Sahih al-Bukhari 2926 Book 56, Hadith 139)

But what explains the hatred towards Israel and Jews expressed by godless leftists? By the way, it is no use them hiding behind ‘Anti-Zionism’ as if they feel free to criticise the Israeli government. What the Muslim girl expressed in the video above was ‘Anti-Zionism’.

‘Anti-Zionism’ is merely antisemitism (hatred of Jewish people) repackaged. But why are atheists on the street donning their kefiyehs and supporting a murderous bunch who would either slit their throats or hold them hostage if they so much as stepped foot in Gaza? Does the girl outside Holborn Station imagine she could walk around dressed like that in Gaza? We even see ‘Queers for Palestine’. What explains such stupidity, such evil?
Psalm 94:16 Who will rise up for me against the evildoers? or who will stand up for me against the workers of iniquity?

HMG’s anti-Israel propaganda

Rt Hon David Lammy MP as Foreign Secretary at the United Nations
Rt Hon David Lammy MP as Foreign Secretary at the United Nations

What has not helped is the torrent of anti-Israel propaganda from His Majesty’s Government. In September, the Rt Hon David Lammy MP, as His Majesty’s Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs told the United Nations: ‘What is happening in Gaza is indefensible… inhumane… utterly unjustifiable.’ he accused Israel of ‘denial of life-saving humanitarian aid and the catastrophic famine that it has caused’ and that it ‘escalates its military operations and displaces Palestinian families, again and again and again.’

Of course he described as ‘horrific’ the ‘acts by Hamas on October 7th that left children without their parents, and parents without their children’. But he did not acknowledge the victims as Jewish either there or when he referred to ‘the torment of families waiting desperately for the return of their loved ones from the most barbaric captivity’.

Mr Lammy condemned ‘the fanatical rule by Hamas, a vile, pitiless terrorist organisation that must have no future in Gaza’. But his denial of any responsibility by Hamas for deliberately keeping their subjects in Gaza in poverty and without food, running a protection racket, profiteering from stolen food aid, using the people as human shields, and his unquestioning acceptance of Hamas propaganda and his denunciations of Israel only added fuel to the street protests in London. It also appealed to his party’s Muslim electorate.

Antisemitic Palestinian Charters

The Guardian reported earlier that HMG had ‘not concluded’ that Israel was conducting genocide in Gaza rather then dismissing the allegation as without foundation and pointing to the actual declaration of genocidal intent in both the Hamas Charter and that of the Palestinian Authority. How Mr Lammy was able to look forward at the UN to ‘two states living side by side in peace and security’ betrays the elite’s delusions.

Psa 2:2 The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the LORD, and against his anointed…

In 2024, His Majesty’s Government suspended around 30 arms export licences to Israel for use in Gaza ‘over International Humanitarian Law concerns’. In August, as the BBC reports, they blocked an Israeli government delegation from an arms trade fair in London. In September 2025, they ‘formally recognised Palestine to protect the viability of a two-state solution and create a path towards lasting peace for the Israeli and Palestinian people’, so they said.

Sir Keir Starmer might well ‘vow to protect Jewish communities after Manchester attack’, as the BBC reports, but in a Times Radio video, crossbench peer Lord Walney (John Woodcock, previously a Labour MP and recently the British government’s independent adviser on political violence and disruption) said the Manchester synagogue attack was a result of the media and government ‘fuelling an obsessive focus on Israel.’ Israeli foreign minister Gideon Sar also said Britain had failed to take action to protect Jewish citizens.

Isa 59:4 None calleth for justice, nor any pleadeth for truth: they trust in vanity, and speak lies; they conceive mischief, and bring forth iniquity.

Home Secretary led BDS protest

Current Home Secretary Shabana Mahmood MP said she was ‘horrified by the antisemitic terrorist attack at a synagogue on the holiest day in the Jewish calendar’. She went on: ‘The government has stepped up security at synagogues across the whole of the country, and we will do whatever is required to keep our Jewish community safe.’

But can this be the same Shabana Mahmood who joined a demonstration in 2014 in Birmingham as part of the anti-Israel Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions (BDS) movement? She and her friends forced a Sainsbury’s supermarket to close for an afternoon over claims it was selling products from Israeli settlements. The Muslim activist MP said at the time: ‘We managed to close down that store at peak time on a Saturday. This is how we can make a difference.’ She was pictured holding a placard for the Palestine Solidarity Campaign. How seriously can the Rt Hon Shabana’s pro-Jewish assertions be taken today?

Esther 8:3 And Esther spake yet again before the king, and fell down at his feet, and besought him with tears to put away the mischief of Haman the Agagite, and his device that he had devised against the Jews.

London mayor and NHS doctor

In London, Muslim mayor Sadiq Khan has made no attempt to hide his pro-Hamas stance, failing to criticise antisemitic chants and banners in the numerous anti-Israel parades which have taken place in the capital. He has been at pains to equate antisemitism with ‘Islamophobia’ as ‘hate crime’. But whereas the Metropolitan Police recorded a 67% increase in anti-Muslim hate crime from September 2023 to August 2024, the rise in antisemitic hate crime was 286%.

We are also becoming too used to BBC antisemitism and to Muslim NHS doctors expressing support for Hamas extremism with no sanctions from their woke elite bosses. In the latest example, an NHS doctor escaped suspension despite allegedly denying the Holocaust has celebrated the 7th October massacre. Dr Rahmeh Aladwan, a junior medic training to be a trauma and orthopaedic surgeon, marked the two-year anniversary of the Hamas attack on Israel with social media posts including “glory to the breaking of the 17 year long illegal siege” and saying it was “officially 2 years of a holocaust”.

Isa 28:17 Judgment also will I lay to the line, and righteousness to the plummet: and the hail shall sweep away the refuge of lies, and the waters shall overflow the hiding place.

Polling reveals depth of antisemitism

The effects of the anti-Israel stance of the British elite may be further seen in a shocking YouGov poll just published. YouGov say:

* ‘More than a third of the British public (35%) say that they “don’t sympathise at all” with the Israeli side, a five point increase from July. Only 10% say they sympathise “a great deal” with the Israelis, while 29% say the sympathise “somewhat” – collectively these are at their lowest level since we first asked in November 2023.’
* ‘The number of Britons who believe Israel’s continued military operations in Gaza since October 2023 are not justified has risen six points since July to 57%, the highest level to date. At the same time, the 18% who continue to see the attacks as justified is the joint-lowest level we have recorded.’
* Another poll in UnHerd, conducted by Focaldata ‘found that a striking 54% of 18-24-year-olds agreed with the statement that “the state of Israel should not exist.” Just 21% disagreed.’ While all voters blamed Hamas rather than the Israeli government for the Gaza conflict by a slender majority of 31% to 27%, among 18-24s it was reversed, 25% holding Hamas to blame, and 50% Israel.

Psalm 2:1 Why do the heathen rage, and the people imagine a vain thing?

’No motive’ for Yom Kippur attack

Our elite still refuse to acknowledge that antisemitism is written in to the Muslim scriptures. As Associated Press report, a week after the Yom Kippur attack, the police are still struggling to find a motive for the attack, saying that ‘Al-Shamie “may have been influenced by extreme Islamist ideology”.’ You don’t say. The Met said ‘patrols at synagogues and other Jewish sites are being stepped up “to provide reassurance.”.’ Would people not be a lot more reassured if the patrols provided protection?

David Lammy was booed on stage in Manchester.
David Lammy was booed on stage in Manchester.

Instead of naming Islam as the threat it is, the elite claim to be standing against ‘those who seek to divide us’. Sadiq Khan, David Lammy, Keir Starmer have all come out with this expression built around an imaginary ‘community cohesion’. Now Rt Rev Sarah Mullally, named as the next leader of the Church of England, has said ‘hatred and racism of any kind cannot be allowed to tear us apart.’ David Lammy was booed in Manchester as he trotted out a string of establishment drivel. (Here too)

Prov 25:5 Take away the wicked from before the king, and his throne shall be established in righteousness.

Cultures and monocultures

Robert Jenrick MP

Conservative MP Robert Jenrick has now been exposed publicly lamenting the rise of the monocultural ethnic enclaves, after walking around Handsworth in Birmingham and not seeing another white face. Brendan O’Neill in Spiked Online has observed that Mr Jenrick found himself in hot water because he has ‘gone and forgotten the golden rule of the woke era. Namely, that you are permitted to bemoan a surplus of white people, but you must never clock an absence of white people.’

The comments were made at a Tory dinner some months ago but then leaked to the Guardian which published them on the eve of the Party’s conference. Out came the Usual Suspects. Hope Not Hate railed against his ‘inflammatory remarks’. A Birmingham Labour MP said Mr Jenrick peddled a ‘culture-warrior narrative’ with ‘far-right clichés’.

Rt Hon Kemi Badenoch MP
Rt Hon Kemi Badenoch MP

Last year, as a leadership contender, Kemi Badenoch ventured that ‘not all cultures are equally valid’ when it comes to deciding who should be allowed into the UK. ‘Those we chose to welcome, we expect to share our values and contribute to our society.’ But the sharing and the contribution just is not happening. The reality is, as Mr O’Neill scathingly put it, a ‘poverty-line Bangladeshi woman in Handsworth who can’t speak English, and doesn’t have to, because she’ll never cross paths with a non-Bengali speaker.’

Scripture shows such a society cannot endure. There must be unity of culture and purpose:
Exod 19:8 And all the people answered together, and said, All that the LORD hath spoken we will do. And Moses returned the words of the people unto the LORD.

It’s the Muslim vote which matters

The mathematics are clear. The Jewish community in the United Kingdom numbers 300,000 – 320,000. The Muslim population in the UK was estimated at approximately 3.9 million in the 2021 Census, representing 6.5% of the total population of England and Wales. This was an increase from 2.7 million (4.9%) in 2011. (The Muslim Council of Britain claims over half of them have been UK-born, while surveys have shown that second-generation Muslims take a harder line than their parents.) Labour Party analysts believe they depend on the votes of Muslims for MPs to keep their seats.

That is why Jewish people no longer believe those in office when they express concern for them, pledge to ‘increase security’ and witter on about ‘the bonds that bind us together as one nation, one people, one United Kingdom’, pleading for ‘common humanity’ from the Islamo-left, having ditched their support for Israel and its people over the last two years and welcomed in Muslim migrants over the last twenty-five.

Only repentance from our establishment will turn the tide. Let us pray it is not too late:

2Chron 20:12 O our God, wilt thou not judge them? for we have no might against this great company that cometh against us; neither know we what to do: but our eyes are upon thee.
