Peter Tatchell, arch-republican that he is, has been moaning in the Guardian that the Queen is not ‘gay-friendly’.
We disagree – and show why below.
The charge sheet compiled by Mr Tatchell includes HMQ having not visited AIDS victims or mentioned LGBT people in her broadcasts. She had to be bullied, he says, into allowing homosexual staff in the royal household to bring their ‘partners’ to the annual Christmas ball at Buckingham Palace. ‘It was only after a protest outside the palace and the ensuing bad publicity that the royals dropped the ban’, he fumes.
Christian Voice can always be relied upon to take up the cause of the monarchy especially in this Her Majesty’s Diamond Jubilee year, so in Her Majesty’s defence to the Tatchell onslaught, we offer the following:
In 1967 HMQ gave her royal assent to the Sexual Offences Act, which decriminalised sodomy and gross indecency between men in private. The Act, brought in because a few homosexual civil servants had been caught with their shirts lifted, spawned the entire homosexual industry. The first ‘gay rights’ march was held in 1972. Bars, shops and magazines catering to the ‘pink market’ quickly followed. Sex education could now mention and even promote homosexuality. Britain was already slouching towards Gomorrah just fifteen years into the Queen’s reign.
There was a bit of a blip in 1988 when HM allowed Section 28 of the Local Government Act to outlaw teaching that homosexual relationships were normal, but Her Majesty went some distance to making amends in 1994, when her Criminal Justice and Public Order Act reduced the minimum age for sodomy to 18, legalised it upon women as well and redefined enforced sodomy as ‘rape’ to equate sodomy with sexual intercourse.
In the late 1980’s, Her Majesty’s Government spent millions trying to convince everyone that AIDS was not a homosexual disease, and spent further millions on ‘health education’ and free condoms for homosexuals and anyone who wanted one. She may not have visited AIDS victims as often as the late Diana Princess of Wales, but Her Majesty’s Government fund their Highly-Active Anti-Retoviral Treatments to the tune of hundreds of millions of pounds.
In her armed forces, which are very dear to Her Majesty’s heart, homosexual men and women became able openly to serve from 1999. By 2008, all three services were marching in uniform in the London Gay Pride march. As Peter Tatchell admits, her majesty’s homosexual staff can bring their partners in perversion right into Buckingham Palace for the annual Christmas ball.
Her Majesty gave homosexual men legal access to sodomise 16-year-old boys in 2000 with the Sexual Offences Amendment Act. Two years later, Her Majesty decided that homosexual men and women could legally adopt children.
With the Sexual Offences Act 2003, Her Majesty removed the offences of gross indecency and sodomy altogether. Section 28 (that 1988 blip) was removed in the same year, giving homosexual teachers and their allies full rein to promote homosexuality to both secondary and primary school children. In what was a bit of a boom year, she also gave her gracious assent to the idea that people committing criminal offences should receive heavier sentences if the victim was homosexual.
Then in 2004, Her Majesty hit a new peak by giving Royal Assent to the Gender Recognition Act, which allowed transsexuals to go back and falsify their original birth certificates, and the Civil Partnership Act, which gave pairs of homosexuals the same legal rights as married couples.

In 2003, the Sexual Orientation Employment Regulations had opened up all jobs, even those working with children and young people, to homosexuals.
Following that, Her Majesty gave her consent to the Equality Act 2006. That empowered the Queen’s ministers to bring in in the Sexual Orientation Regulations to force Christian hoteliers to let rooms to homosexuals in Northern Ireland. Great Britain followed with identical regulations in 2007.
2008 saw the Criminal Justice and Immigration Act, which brought in a homosexual incitement hate crime law and abolished the ancient offence of blasphemy, to the delight of secularist homosexuals including Peter Tatchell, who tried to read the lewd Gay News poem in public some years before. In the same year, she removed the need for a father or a mother in laws governing assisted reproduction in the Human Fertilisation and Embryology Act 2008, paving the way for lesbians and homosexual men to acquire children using donors and surrogates.
The Equality Act 2010, to which Her Majesty gave her gracious consent, placed a duty on local authorities to promote transsexualism and homosexuality as two of the ‘protected groups’ to be favoured by government and public authorities – including schools – throughout England and Wales.
Her Majesty’s Government is now working out ways to introduce ‘gay marriage’. If that is enacted, which God forbid, Her Majesty will easily give it her royal assent, just as she has given her royal assent to every previous bit of ‘gay rights’ legislation.
Contrary to what Peter Tatchell asserts, Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II has undoubtedly been the most ‘gay-friendly’ monarch in British history.

“… May she defend our laws” is one line of the national anthem. Sadly she has not defended our laws.
Once upon a time the laws of our nation were founded upon the ten commandments and upon God’s word. Today we have become a godless nation, to our shame and disgrace, we sin and godlessness enshrined in our laws. We have returned to the days of Sodom and Gomorrah in the UK.
This might seem to be a silly question, but who is Peter Tatchell exactly? He seems to be able to snap his little fingers to make so many people jump to his tune, and I just wonder why he has so much power and publicity at his disposal?
I wasn’t aware of widespread hatred for homosexuals when I was young, and I think most people were quite innocent about homosexuality, because I remember my dad used to put the wireless on BBC radio programmes on Sunday afternoon, and there was a program on called Round The Horne, with Kenneth Williams, and my dad had no idea at the time that the whole programme was full of homosexual double entendre, and the people in the programme were speaking in Polari. Also, I remember Larry Greyson, who had a programme on television, and he spoke in a funny voice and said “Shut that door” a lot for no apparent reason, but no-one in my family realised at the time that he was homosexual. I think a lot of people looked up to television people, as people that were better than they were, we didn’t realise at the time that the television and radio only broadcast what they wanted to broadcast, that they had an agenda. But looking back, I think there were a lot of homosexual people on television when I was young, and I dont remember lots of people being beaten up or mistreated because they were homosexual, so I can’t understand why gay rights has become a more important issue than disabled peoples rights, I think more disabled people probably get badly treated than gay people, because disabled people are less able to defend themselves, but they dont have any special laws and lots of people running round looking after them as homosexual people do.
Perhaps it isn’t fair to blame the Queen for everything, because she might have been just as naive as the rest of us. She might not have realised about things like Round the Horne and Shut that Door either. Another thing I remember from when I was a little girl is how people used to boast about winning WW2 and Britain standing like Goliath. I remember a song that the kids used to chant, “We won the war, in 1944”, and I don’t remember anyone thanking God for rescuing us. Perhaps God isn’t very pleased with us because we were arrogant about that, and took credit for all the bloodshed instead of humbly thanking him for rescuing us from a terrible threat? Perhaps if we had been more faithful to God as a nation we’d have realised about the filth that the BBC were broadcasting and made them stop doing it? The Queen might not have even realised what the BBC were broadcasting, she might not even have had time to listen to the radio, so she might not even have known about all of that. Its no use lumping all the blame for our collective attitude problem on the shoulders of one old lady, I don’t think it’s fair anyway. Anyway, the Queen did put her foot down about having a Freemason lodge at Buckingham Palace. The Queen has broken her Coronation Oath, but she did ask for all our help at the start of her reign, and said she couldn’t do it alone, that she needed us to help her keep it, and I don’t really think we did help, because I think as a nation we let ourselves get arrogant about all that terrible bloodshed instead of being humble and grateful for salvation, and God has let us all fall into a pit. I think we ALL need to repent, and say sorry to God, and also to the Queen, because I don’t think we really did help her keep her Coronation Oath, like she asked us to, and we’ve tried to shift all the blame onto her instead, which is what Adam and Eve did when they ate the forbidden fruit, they tried to shift the blame instead of owning up and saying sorry. Thats what I think anyway.
I agree with you sister in Christ, perhaps if the all the believers in the UK got behind and openly supported her as requested there might have been a shift in corrupt legislation. Whatever the Queen has put her royal signature to that is perviersion of God’s laws, is not necessarily what she agrees with. Her majesty does not make the laws and has no say in the matter, we hear the phrase over and over again “Her majestys Government”, it is they who create and make the laws not she,, the Royal signature is a mere formality. What she has to put a “Royal Seal” to more than likely disgusts her because of her strong faith and belief in God the creator of all things and His established laws, but she has no choice, especially when she is not getting the support she needs, she has to be seen to be supporting the Government. Hentry the 8th could have had peoples heads chopped off if he didnt like them, or what they stood for, not so for her majesy. As a worker in the social field, I had to employ homosexuals but that didnt mean I agreed with their homosexual lifestyle, I had no choice it was my job and I could not discriminate. The Queens speech regarding Parliamentary proposals etc is not her speech it is written for her. However her speech at Christmas and other more intimate occassionas is her own, then we hear the true heart of our Queen. All authority is given by God and whilst we may not agree with them we are called to honour them. and to pray for them. God will deal with those who abuse the authority He has given them and who go against His laws. He is the Lord and He reigns on high Amen.
Thanks for that, Linda, although of course if the Queen did signal her refusal to assent to an ungodly measure all that would happen (so to speak!) would be a constitutional crisis and the government of the day would have to appeal to the electorate in a general election on that issue. As the overwhelming majority (possibly even all) of the ungodly legislation passed in the past 60 years has been against public opinion, the Queen (or those supporting her) should win said general election.
Hi Stephen, actually I have very strong views on these points. In my opinion the Queen has let down any faith she might have had and has certainly allowed too much freedom to many other unChristian things. She has allowed all these mosques to be built and used in our Christian Country, as well as all the Sodomy that has been allowed. I am not proud to be British any more and look forward with even more enthusiasm to my leaving this earth altogether. My wife is not very far from it and I cannot wait for my own departure. This country and the whole world has gone way beyond the pale for me. Every day I see more and more anti-Christ propaganda and ritual. However I am pleased with your fight for the faith and will uphold you as much as I am able. I am behind you all the way. My prayers are continually with you and thanks for corresponding on these matter.
Yours in the mighty name of Jesus and may His return be imminent. God bless and keep you from your brother in Christ, Dave.
Thanks, David,
But do remember that Christ has the victory. And do not forget:
Deut 31:6 Be strong and of a good courage, fear not, nor be afraid of them: for the LORD thy God, he it is that doth go with thee; he will not fail thee, nor forsake thee.
Eccl 9:4 For to him that is joined to all the living there is hope: for a living dog is better than a dead lion.
John 16:33 These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.
Stephen Green is a hero. I love his ability to speak the truth unafraid and free which is a gift from the Holy Spirit. What a blessing!
I agree with Barbara (we seem to be of the similar age) The topic was in a discreet place in society back then and so many people happily went to their grave unaware of it. My mother was a nurse and she never encountered anything but looking back now she realizes, again, it was tactfully dealt with so as not to offend natural decency to all and sundry.
Re- David Cameron Reading from St Paul’s Epistle.
I must google the reading so that we can keep reminding D.C.of it’s contents as he continues to break every commandment going in his joint legislation’s.
If he adhered to this guidance from St Paul we, as a nation, will be in a safer situation.
It did make me hoot with laughter as I heard him quoting St Paul and thought the Queen herself may have had a hand in it as I think she must be so fed up with these anti- Christian shenanigans bothering her good and faithful citizens. She is very aware don’t you think?
The service at St Paul’s was excellent the words read by PM David Cameron from Romans 12 and the Proverb 8 and Archbishop Rowan shocked me with his words giving honour to our Lord Jesus Christ and to God I was praying hard that this would happen and rejoicing that those unbelievers in the audience would be changed by the word of God that was spoken which will penetrate to joint & marrow soul & Spirit. But it was very apparent that the Queen is being silenced – She never spoke live – the message she gave was very dissappointing & I felt she was being controlled. May she have the boldness & confidence to speak out againt all unrighteousness and may William and Kate know the Lord God and turn this Nation back to the truth. Hoping Charles will not reign unless he is led by the true God.
BUT WHAT CAN THE RIGHTEOUS DO ABOUT IT?

More and more everyday Christian beliefs and values are being marginalised and sadly the Queen who is head of the Church of England seemingly has now power to actually uphold her faith as far as legislation is concerned.
Sometimes I am almost filled with despair when I see what is happening everyday especially with the ‘gay lobby’ and what power and influence they have. I think in a way they are causing more homophobia as like you say the majority of people were not aware of their way of life before but now they seem to want to thrust it into the limelight more and more. Even the Exeter MP Ben Bradshaw who is gay, cannot understand why they are pushing for same sex marriage. If it is merely to have the same financial rights as a couple as hetrosexual couples then this has been recognised with the legislation for Civil Partnerships. They seem to forget that the creator of the Universe, even if they don’t believe in God, designed men and women completely physcially and emotionally different to complement each other and the sexual act primarily to procreate – if men were meant to be in a sexual relationship with each other they would have been designed to produce babies without women.
Just because homosexuals cannot agree with the natural law does not mean they are right and everyone else is wrong. I cannot imagine what it is like to have relationships with someone of the same sex but if that suits them then they are free to choose that way of living but they don’t have to flaunt the fact in public and I find it offensive not just as a person but also as a Christian. I also find it very upsetting that homosexuality is being pushed on to very young children in schools.
So I hope many more people will have the courage to stand up and defend their beliefs.
I find it grates when the LGBT people start to compare their situation with racial oppression. I understand that sexuality is complex but the Christian message is clear. I feel very sad that David Cameron felt he had to fight for same sex marriage and upset so many people in doing so. He of all people, with his education should have understood that marriage is a sacrament and that it is about one man and a woman who together become one through that union. It is the bedrock of family life. We daren’t speak about this anymore for fear of being marginalized as being homophobic . It is no longer allowed to speak out for what is ‘normal’. When I was young, we enjoyed Janet and John books, people grew up and got married. Education was important. Today, all of these vales are scorned and yet the message is clear, that this is the way to a happy, fulfilled life. Of course, not everyone is going to be called to marriage. I remember so clearly the emphasis on family life and how marriage and procreation were so important.
I do understand the need to ‘move forward’ and to accept today’s challenges. However, surely the basic message is still there. Respect for this and others has simply fallen by the wayside. What was wrong with the introduction of civil partnerships? We all have choice. The Vible makes that clear, and by bringing in such a thing al least homosexuals who chose to live with another had the same financial and legal protection as a married couple. To amend marriage is so wrong; it is a redefinition and I become so fed up of hearing the argument that it is being opened up to all. That surely is a contradiction in terms. I politely but firmly pointed this out on the pink news website, when there was an article criticizing the Archbishop of Canterbury and taking an article by him and quoting it out of context.
We are living in turbulent times; they are like those of a legalized sodom and Gomorrah. We have people looking to the church for guidance, who need it’s love and compassion. Can the dhurch fulfil it’s duty when it is considering blessing same sex unions? When it has an openly homosexual bishop who has a civil partbership with his partner. I agree the church is there for all, but isn’t the message simple.
I was brought up to believe that we are all sinners and through The Lord Jesus Christ we can enter heaven and into everlasting life with God the Father almighty. The church is the bedrock and I worry when this trendy approach and openness to accepting sinful practise as the norm for society is acceptable.i know that we need to pray hard, and this move flat homosexuality is ‘normal’ is confusing and wrong.
