UK Christians assumed the\u00a0Government would favour their brothers and sisters. \u00a0But a Christian aid charity says this has not happened.<\/p>\n<p>the UK has been &#8216;out-sourcing&#8217; refugee selection to the UN. \u00a0But this has meant a lack of balance in refugee numbers.<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.heartpublications.co.uk\/uk-government-blocked-truth-about-left-behind-christians\/\" target=\"_blank\">Out of over 4,000 Syrian refugees welcomed into the UK in 12 months, only 64 were Christian<\/a><\/strong>. \u00a0This is just 1.5%, whereas 10% of Syria&#8217;s population was Christian before the UK-supported anti-Assad civil war.<\/p>\n<h2>UN camps dominated by jihadists<\/h2>\n<p>Syrian Christians and other religious minorities have been reluctant to go to refugee camps run by the United Nations. \u00a0The reason is that jihadist groups run\u00a0the camps. \u00a0The Christians say they are &#8216;discriminated against&#8217; in such camps. \u00a0That could be putting it mildly.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_9987\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-9987\" style=\"width: 300px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.christianvoice.org.uk\/index.php\/syrian-christians-not-welcome-uk\/syrianchurch\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-9987\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-9987\" src=\"https:\/\/www.christianvoice.org.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/syrianchurch-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"Churches in Syria have been looted and damaged by jihadists, many of them funded by the UK\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.christianvoice.org.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/syrianchurch-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.christianvoice.org.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/syrianchurch.jpg 480w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-9987\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Churches in Syria have been looted and damaged by jihadists, many of them funded by the UK<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/barnabasfund.org\/news\" target=\"_blank\">Barnabas Fund<\/a><\/strong>\u2019s Head of Research Dr Martin Parsons blamed the meagre numbers of Christians on the British government\u2019s reliance on the UN. &#8216;Much of the UK\u2019s problem lies with the UN, to whom the government continues to outsource its selection of Syrian refugees. It is imperative that the government challenges the UN on this deplorable situation,&#8217; he said.<\/p>\n<p>Barnabas Fund has instead been re-settling Christian refugees in countries such as Australia and Poland. \u00a0These have\u00a0pro-Christian policies and do not rely on the UN.<\/p>\n<p>The jihadist rule over\u00a0UN refugee camps has an impact on\u00a0refugee policy worldwide. \u00a0Syrian refugees can turn up\u00a0anywhere in the world after UN processing. \u00a0But they will very likely be Sunni Muslims, the sect of Al-Qaeda and Islamic State. \u00a0At the very least they will have been exposed to radical Islamist\u00a0ideas. \u00a0Indeed, Islamic State said they would use the refugee system to plant sleeper terrorists into Europe.<\/p>\n<h2>Syrian Christians deciding to stay<\/h2>\n<p>However, the UN&#8217;s collusion with the jihadis has had a side effect which could turn out well. \u00a0Many Syrian Christians are now\u00a0opting to stay where they are. \u00a0<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.christianvoice.org.uk\/index.php\/yes-aleppo-is-being-liberated\/\" target=\"_blank\">UK MP&#8217;s moaned about the &#8216;fall&#8217; of Aleppo in December<\/a><\/strong>. \u00a0But Syrian Christians welcomed the defeat of the jihadists. \u00a0<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.christianvoice.org.uk\/index.php\/boris-help-rebuild-syria\/\" target=\"_blank\">Christians celebrated Christmas in Aleppo in 2016 for the first time in five years<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_9988\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-9988\" style=\"width: 300px\" class=\"wp-caption alignleft\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.christianvoice.org.uk\/index.php\/syrian-christians-not-welcome-uk\/watermen\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-9988\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-9988\" src=\"https:\/\/www.christianvoice.org.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/watermen-300x169.jpg\" alt=\"Signs of hope - Syrian engineers prepare to repair the water supply to Damascus\" width=\"300\" height=\"169\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.christianvoice.org.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/watermen-300x169.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.christianvoice.org.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/watermen-600x338.jpg 600w, https:\/\/www.christianvoice.org.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/watermen.jpg 650w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-9988\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Signs of hope &#8211; Syrian engineers prepare to repair the water supply to Damascus<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Since then the Syrian Army has been making\u00a0more advances. \u00a0Days ago they <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.presstv.ir\/Detail\/2017\/02\/01\/508730\/Syria-Wadi-Barada-Daesh-Damascus-Homs-Aleppo\" target=\"_blank\">secured the Wadi Barada water supply to Damascus<\/a><\/strong>. \u00a0The Syrian Government and the armed factions joined peace talks for the first time in January. And it was\u00a0Russia, Turkey and Iran who brought this about, not the UK or US.<\/p>\n<p>The Apostle Luke tells us, in\u00a0Acts 11:26: &#8216;The disciples were called Christians first in Antioch&#8217;. \u00a0Antioch is now Antakya and lies just across the border inside Turkey. \u00a0And the Apostle Paul saw the light of Christ on the road to Damascus. \u00a0Syria has Christian history. \u00a0Syria\u2019s Orthodox churches claim to be the most ancient in the world.<\/p>\n<p>That is why <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.beliefnet.com\/faiths\/home-page-news-and-views\/syria-in-flames-is-this-how-to-defend-our-faith.aspx#oBiGlivWduxFdPba.99\" target=\"_blank\">some Syriac Christians say they are determined to stay<\/a><\/strong>. \u00a0They are proud of their historic roots and their high calling to be living witnesses of Christ\u2019s love, mercy and grace.<\/p>\n<h2>We used to live in peace<\/h2>\n<p>The various religious groups managed to get along \u00a0before the uprising, despite deep differences. \u00a0Those who encouraged the civil war, the UK, the US, Soros, ruined a functioning nation for nothing. \u00a0But in the aftermath, Christians in Syria resent\u00a0what was done.<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;We used to live in peace under Assad,&#8217; <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.beliefnet.com\/faiths\/home-page-news-and-views\/syria-in-flames-is-this-how-to-defend-our-faith.aspx#oBiGlivWduxFdPba.99\" target=\"_blank\">a Syrian Christian told International Christian Concern<\/a><\/strong>. &#8216;Assad is not a perfect man, yet he gave the Christians freedom and rights the same as Muslims. We could wear what we wanted and we had churches all over the country.<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;Then when the uprising started, we began to see many Islamist jihadists from Afghanistan and Saudi Arabia. They began to kill us (the Christians) and other minorities who are considered infidels. The Islamists killed us with knives and even decapitated some and burned down our churches.<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;Now, Christians are not welcome under their Islamist rule. No Western country will give us visas. Many times, we feel like the whole world wants to see the Christians of Syria slaughtered.&#8217;<\/p>\n<h2>Petition to the Foreign Secretary<\/h2>\n<p><strong>PRAY<\/strong>\u00a0the UK Government will take no more Syrian Muslim refugees until they welcome Christians. \u00a0<strong>PRAY<\/strong>\u00a0they will support Christians worldwide. \u00a0<strong>PRAY<\/strong> for the UK Government to stand for peace in Syria. \u00a0<strong>PRAY<\/strong> they understand that further support for rebel groups will only add to the bloodshed and destruction. \u00a0<strong>PRAY<\/strong> for them to accept reality and help bring the war to an end. \u00a0<strong>PRAY<\/strong> for them to send bricks to Syria and pressure Saudi Arabia to stop sending bombs and bullets.<\/p>\n<h2><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.petitions24.com\/boris_help_rebuild_syria\" target=\"_blank\">Boris!
