On Monday Fox news <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/opinion\/2014\/03\/03\/team-obama-wins-fight-to-have-christian-home-school-family-deported\/\" target=\"_blank\">announced\u00a0<\/a><\/strong> &#8216;Team Obama wins fight to have Christian home-school family deported.&#8217;<\/p>\n<p>It came as a surprise to everybody when a Supervisor with the Department of Homeland Security called HSLD to say the Romeikes had been granted \u201cindefinite deferred status\u201d. The federal government\u2019s 24-hour turnaround was announced today on the Home School Legal Defense Association (HSLDA) <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/hslda\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>Facebook page<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Uwe Romeike commented in <a href=\"http:\/\/www.hslda.org\/legal\/cases\/romeike.asp\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>a statement on the HSLDA website<\/strong><\/a>: \u201cWe are happy to have indefinite status even though we won\u2019t be able to get American citizenship any time soon. As long as we can live at peace here, we are happy. We have always been ready to go wherever the Lord would lead us\u2014and I know my citizenship isn\u2019t really on earth.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>HSLDA Chairman Michael Farris gave the glory to God.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cThis is an incredible victory that I can only credit to Almighty God. I also want to thank those who spoke up on this issue\u2014including that long ago White House petition. We believe that the public outcry made a huge impact.
