The London Borough of Newham is inviting objections to a planning application for a project dubbed the West Ham ‘megamosque’.<\/p>\n

An Islamic\u00a0separatist group, Tablighi Jamaat, have submitted the application for outline planning permission for a project that would have a capacity of 9,350, including 1,830 segregated places for women, with an additional dining hall for 2,000.<\/p>\n

Tablighi Jamaat’s followers have been linked<\/a><\/strong> to a number of planned and actual terrorist atrocities.\u00a0 They\u00a0are said to operate as a charity in England and Wales under the name Anjuman-E-Islahul-Muslimeed of London (UK), in whose name the\u00a0application has been made.<\/p>\n

A search at the Charity Commission did not yield such a name, but the similar-sounding ‘Anjuman-E-Islah-Al-Muslimeen (Madrasa Taleem Ul Islam) Of United Kingdom<\/a><\/strong>‘ runs the Tablighi Jamaat mosque in Dewsbury, Yorkshire as registered charity 505732.<\/p>\n

Christian Voice members have been meeting for prayer on the Greenway overlooking the site on the first Saturday morning of every month without fail since January 2007, in response to Tablighi Jamaat’s\u00a0boast that they would have their mega-mosque up and operating in time for the London Olympics.\u00a0 They failed to do that.\u00a0 In the time we have been praying we have seen two sets of architects and one bunch of public relations people sacked and general confusion has reigned, all in answer to our prayer.<\/p>\n

Battersea Power Station<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

According to the group’s latest architect, Richard Owers of NRAP in Cambridge<\/a><\/strong>, the project will be the size of Battersea Power Station, with almost 50′ (15m) minarets which will dwarf even the local landmark of Channel Sea House.<\/p>\n

In May 2011, Tablighi Jamaat won the right to stay on site<\/a><\/strong> with temporary planning permission for a further two years during which time they are required to put in a planning application setting out their plans in<\/strong> full.<\/p>\n

The Planning Application is HERE on Newham’s Planning Portal<\/a>.\u00a0 <\/strong>Over six hundred comments have been left, the majority of which are supportive, because emails and texts\u00a0from Tablighi Jamaat went around the world urging the ummah, the Muslim faithful, to support the application.\u00a0 However, we understand that comments will be given more weight the nearer the respondent lives to the site itself.<\/p>\n

PRAY<\/strong> for wisdom for all those opposing the application of Tablighi Jamaat.\u00a0 Pray that the project’s opponents will enjoy favour with Newham Council Planning Officials so that they will reject this application.\u00a0 Pray the Council will follow all proper procedures so that there are no loopholes which may be exploited at the appeal stage.\u00a0 Pray for Alan Craig and the Megamosque No Thanks<\/a> team as they raise local awareness.\u00a0 Pray for confusion amongst the enemies of the sovereign incarnate Son of God, the Lord Jesus Christ, King of kings and Lord of lords.\u00a0 Pray also for those taking the Gospel to Muslims in the UK and around the world.\u00a0 May they see a mighty move of the Holy Spirit and the lost turing from their dead prophet to the living Saviour .<\/p>\n
