King Charles III has taken on a significant new role, becoming patron of the Community Security Trust<\/strong><\/a>, the organisation responsible for monitoring antisemitism and protecting Jewish communities across Britain.<\/p>\n

The announcement, made during the charity\u2019s annual fundraising dinner, marks a clear and public stance from the monarch in support of a community facing increasing hostility. It also signals a broader commitment to confronting antisemitism at a national level.<\/p>\n

The decision reflects the King\u2019s longstanding support for interfaith engagement and social cohesion. His record has consistently emphasised dialogue between different faiths and the promotion of mutual respect.<\/p>\n

According to the Community Security Trust , the monarch’s decision to accept the patronage reflects “His Majesty’s long-standing support for the UK’s Jewish community and the wider fight against antisemitism”.<\/p>\n

This development, while part of a broader review of royal patronages, reinforces the importance of unity in a time of growing division. A Timely Intervention Amid Rising Threats<\/h2>\n

The announcement comes during a particularly difficult period for Britain\u2019s Jewish population, with concerns over antisemitic incidents continuing to rise.<\/p>\n

It follows a serious arson attack in Golders Green, where vehicles belonging to a Jewish volunteer ambulance service were set on fire in the early hours. The incident, now being treated as a hate crime, caused significant damage and heightened fears within the community.<\/p>\n

In this context, the King\u2019s support carries added significance, offering reassurance at a time of increased vulnerability.<\/p>\n

The role represents more than ceremonial backing\u2014it underscores the importance of standing against hatred and ensuring that all communities are protected.<\/p>\n

At a time when tensions are rising, such leadership highlights the enduring need for justice, accountability, and the protection of human dignity.<\/p>\n

The Bible Society has retracted its claims that there is a quiet revival of Christianity in Britain based on a faulty and unreliable YouGov survey.<\/p>\n

What was described as a \u201cquiet revival\u201d of Christianity led by Gen Z and younger adults offered a glimpse of renewed spiritual hunger in Britain.<\/p>\n

For years, church decline had dominated the narrative. Yet emerging data suggested something different: a generation beginning to rediscover faith, community, and purpose.<\/p>\n

Even as questions have been raised about the accuracy of the figures, the wider message endures,there are signs that people, particularly the young, are turning back to the Church in search of something deeper.<\/p>\n

The polling, carried out by YouGov<\/strong><\/a>, had found\u00a0churchgoing rose by 50 per cent between 2018 and 2024, led by Gen Z and younger adults. This equated to an estimated two million more people attending church.<\/p>\n

The Church of England championed the report with much fanfare, repeatedly citing it in its research, publications and sermons.<\/p>\n

Even Dame Sarah Mullally, the\u00a0newly enthroned\u00a0Archbishop of Canterbury, alluded to it in her first presidential address to the General Synod, the Church of England\u2019s lawmaking body, in February.<\/p>\n

She said: \u201cThere are early indications of a rise in attendance and participation having continued over the last year. Of course, we must be cautious. These are early figures, but the trend is clear.<\/p>\n

\u201cPeople are returning to the Church. They are finding a welcome, friendship, community, meaning and purpose. And we rejoice with God in these green shoots of hope.\u201d<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, the leader<\/strong><\/a> of a Christian charity is preparing for an extraordinary act of faith where he will carry the cross to the top of England’s tallest mountain.<\/p>\n

Paul Robinson, who leads the Christian charity Release International, has been undertaking rigorous training ahead of the Light Walk, during which he intends to haul a wooden cross to the peak of Scafell Pike.<\/p>\n

Mr Robinson says his endeavour aims to demonstrate unity with Christians facing persecution across the globe.<\/p>\n

The event will see him trek through darkness with the timber structure, reaching the 978-metre summit as the sun rises.<\/p>\n

He added his journey represents a physical expression of support for believers who cannot worship freely.<\/p>\n

A team of volunteers will accompany Mr Robinson on the demanding nocturnal ascent, which typically requires between three and four hours to complete.<\/p>\n
