{"id":35846,"date":"2025-09-25T17:20:00","date_gmt":"2025-09-25T16:20:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.christianvoice.org.uk\/?p=35846"},"modified":"2025-09-27T10:02:04","modified_gmt":"2025-09-27T09:02:04","slug":"council-to-replace-the-word-women-with-people-with-ovaries","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.christianvoice.org.uk\/index.php\/council-to-replace-the-word-women-with-people-with-ovaries\/","title":{"rendered":"&#8216;Women&#8217; are &#8216;people with ovaries&#8217; in city council"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A woke council has plunged into a \u201ctransgender&#8221; row after insisting that women should be called \u201cpeople with ovaries\u201d, according to the <a title=\"Opens in a new tab or window \u00a3\" href=\"https:\/\/www.thetimes.com\/uk\/article\/council-branded-offensive-for-calling-women-people-with-ovaries-drtwww0t3\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><b>Times.<\/b><\/a><\/p>\n<p>In a 39-page submission to the Equality and Human Rights Commission (EHRC), Bristol city council maintained that defining sex as biological \u201cmisgenders trans people\u201d and risks discrimination.<\/p>\n<p>The council has been accused of offending women with \u201cvirtue-signalling madness\u201d.<\/p>\n<p><b>Genesis 1:27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.<\/b><\/p>\n<p><a style=\"font-size: 18px; font-family: Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif; color: #ffff00; font-weight: bold; text-decoration: none; border-radius: 9px; background-color: #800080; border-top: 9px solid #800080; border-bottom: 9px solid #800080; border-right: 18px solid #800080; border-left: 18px solid #800080; display: inline-block;\" title=\"Opens in a new tab\" href=\"https:\/\/www.christianvoice.org.uk\/index.php\/information\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Join or Support Christian Voice \u2192<\/a><\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"YouTube video player\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/xXwEWKRKHcM?si=oeluxYiYO5M6yAZu&amp;start=2\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<h2>Greens want to protect \u2018people who chest-feed\u2019<\/h2>\n<p>The &#8220;woke&#8221; council whose\u00a0Green Party\u00a0leader Tony Dyer has criticised the Supreme Court ruling, raised a number of objections, including urging the EHRC to drop gendered language when referring to pregnancy, maternity and breastfeeding.<\/p>\n<p>It wrote that \u201cnot all pregnant individuals would use the pronouns \u2018she\/her\u2019\u201d so it could lead to \u201cemotional and psychological distress\u201d for \u201ctrans men, non-binary, gender diverse or intersex individuals\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe strongly advise the use of more inclusive language such as using \u2018they\/them\u2019 to refer to all individuals, or include other identities to reflect the diversity of individuals who access maternity or paternity services.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis could include \u2018people with ovaries\u2019 or the term \u2018people who use paternity services\u2019. We also recognise that individuals may not identify with the word maternity and prefer paternity as it is gender neutral.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAdditionally, it is unclear what support will be available to trans people who chest-feed to ensure they are protected from discrimination.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Protections based on biological sex are \u201ctoo vague\u201d, the response added, as: \u201cIt is unclear whether it refers to anyone capable of pregnancy, or only those who were assigned female at birth.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Council officials complained that the new guidance implies that \u201ctrans women are not \u2018really\u2019 women\u201d and risked \u201ccreating a hostile environment in public services\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>This raises medical questions, ethical concerns, and deep unease about robbing mothers of their unique God-given role.<\/p>\n<p>To strip away the words \u201cmother\u201d and \u201cbreastfeeding\u201d in favour of \u201cchest-feeding\u201d is not inclusivity but an assault on motherhood itself. Instead of adjusting policy, they seek ways around it.<\/p>\n<p><a title=\"Opens in a new tab or window \" href=\"https:\/\/www.christianvoice.org.uk\/index.php\/nurse-can-refer-to-transgender-doctor-as-a-man-in-legal-victory\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><b>NHS Fife<\/b><\/a> Tribunal (Scotland): At a tribunal involving nurse Sandie Peggie, who objected to sharing a changing room with a trans-identifying male, NHS Fife\u2019s barrister appeared to undermine the Supreme Court ruling, suggesting that trans women may not legally be male under the Equality Act.<\/p>\n<p>The Labour Party <a title=\"Opens in a new tab or window\" href=\"https:\/\/www.bbc.co.uk\/news\/articles\/c7v77rgp4peo\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><b>cancelled<\/b><\/a> its women\u2019s conference after the ruling, fearing legal risks if \u201cself-identified women\u201d were admitted to spaces reserved by law for biological women. Instead of embracing the clarity of law, the Party chose to appease activists.<\/p>\n<p><b>Corinthians 14:33 God is not the author of confusion, but of peace, as in all churches of the saints.<\/b><\/p>\n<h2>Battle against womanhood<\/h2>\n<p><a title=\"Opens in a new tab or window\" href=\"https:\/\/www.christianvoice.org.uk\/index.php\/why-defy-the-supreme-courts-biological-realities\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><b>In August 2025<\/b><\/a>, UK\u2019s first transgender judge, Jason Williams, who now according to the <a title=\"Opens in a new tab or window\" href=\"https:\/\/www.christianvoice.org.uk\/index.php\/why-defy-the-supreme-courts-biological-realities\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><b>Telegraph<\/b><\/a> goes by the name \u2018Dr. Victoria McCloud\u2019 launched a legal challenge against the United Kingdom itself in the European Court of Human Rights.<\/p>\n<p>Supported by activist lawyers, the retired judge is contesting the April ruling of the Supreme Court which affirmed that the word \u201cwoman\u201d in the <a title=\"Opens in a new tab or window\" href=\"https:\/\/www.legislation.gov.uk\/ukpga\/2010\/15\/contents\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><b>Equality Act 2010<\/b><\/a> refers only to biological women, not to men who identify as female.<\/p>\n<p>This landmark judgement brought long-needed clarity, yet we are now faced with the question: Why should anyone defy the authority of the Supreme Court of the United
