In an perceptive Telegraph article headed: ‘In a land without morals, it’s no wonder children kill each other<\/a>‘, author Jeff Randall quoted the Chief Rabbi.\u00a0 Here is what he said:<\/p>\n

‘ Britain ‘s Chief Rabbi, Sir Jonathan Sacks, sums up the anxieties of many: “We are living through the death of civility \u2026 Today, it is commonplace to encounter road rage, muggings, street crime, drunkenness, lager louts, hoodies, yobbishness and laddishness. Teachers are attacked in the classroom. Nurses encounter violence from patients.”‘<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Yes, indeed, the death of civility.\u00a0 Now could this be the same Chief Rabbi who has repeatedly failed to condemn the blasphemous, pornographic, thoroughly uncivil statue of Jesus Christ with a phallus stuck on the front, owned by his well-healed friends Poju and Anita Zabludowicz?\u00a0 The statue which they stubbornly kept on public display at the Baltic Centre in Gateshead earlier this year knowing full well it was offending good taste and decency and the civilised values of ordinary people including Christians, among them Christian friends of Israel and the Jewish people?\u00a0 The statue they still refuse to destroy, making their friend the Chief Rabbi look like a total hypocrite when he calls piously for people to respect what others hold sacred?\u00a0 www.chiefrabbi.org\/articles\/tftd\/03feb06.htm<\/p>\n

Yes sadly it is the same Chief Rabbi, and the same statue.\u00a0 And the Chief Rabbi just cannot stop pontificating about the importance of civilised values, despite failing to display them in his own ministry and his chums trampling them in the mud.\u00a0 ‘Can I respect your faith?’ he asked in Thought for the Day.\u00a0 www.chiefrabbi.org\/articles\/tftd\/03feb06.htm<\/p>\n

No, Sir Jonathan, you can’t.\u00a0 We are living through the death of civility.\u00a0 And what a shame it is that you and your friends are helping to kill it.<\/p>\n
