The Hamas and PLO Charters<\/h2>\n

Let us not forget, Hamas is committed by its founding Charter<\/b><\/a> to destroy Israel \u2018from the Jordan River to the Mediterranean Sea.\u2019<\/p>\n

Its Charter (Article 7) repeats a Muslim article of faith in the Hadith (the sayings of Muhammed)\u00a0 that Muslims must kill all Jews<\/u>:
\n\u2018You (i.e. Muslims) will fight against the Jews and you will gain victory over them. The stones will (betray them) saying: \u2018O \u2018Abdullah (i.e. slave of Allah)! There is a Jew hiding behind me; so kill him.\u2019\u00a0 Hadith reported by Al-Bukhari<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n

The Charter of the Palestine Liberation Organisation<\/b><\/a>, dominated by Fatah, which runs what is popularly known as the \u2018West Bank\u2019, does not mention the Hadith, but still aims to expel what it calls \u2018Zionism\u2019, that is the State of Israel, through \u2018armed struggle\u2019.
