A Christian teacher has been stopped indefinitely from teaching in any sixth-form college or children’s home in England for \u201cmisgendering\u201d a pupil.<\/p>\n

Joshua Sutcliffe, 33,\u00a0 was banned from the teaching profession for addressing a girl as a girl.<\/p>\n

Truth is fallen<\/h2>\n

According to the Telegraph<\/b><\/a>, the Teaching Regulation Authority (TRA) ruled that Mr Sutcliffe had failed to treat a pupil with \u201cdignity and respect\u201d. They also claim he failed to protect the pupil’s well-being because he did not use the “preferred pronouns” of a girl who “identified as a boy”.<\/p>\n

Apart from the allegations of “misgendering a pupil”, Mr Sutcliffe was also found in the wrong for expressing views against gay marriage when questioned by a pupil. He was accused of failing to \u201cconsider the potential impact\u201d on his pupils, particularly those who may be practising same-sex relationships. We have stated the Biblical position on sodomy many times, not least here:<\/p>\n

Together in Love and Faith dissected \u2192<\/a><\/p>\n

On the matter of truth the word of God is clear.<\/p>\n

John 8:32 And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The prophets even condemn societies like ours:<\/p>\n

Isaiah 59:14 And judgment is turned away backward, and justice standeth afar off: for truth is fallen in the street, and equity cannot enter.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Hosea 4:2 By swearing, and lying, and killing, and stealing, a<\/strong>nd committing adultery, they break out, and blood toucheth blood.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Given the reasons for this ban,\u00a0 it is safe to report the 33-year-old was stripped of his license because he spoke against sodomy, and used the correct pronouns to address a pupil. The former teacher can apply for the ban to be removed in 2025.<\/p>\n

Teacher’s response<\/h2>\n

Mr Sutcliffe, a former maths teacher at the Cherwell School, a state secondary in Oxford, admitted to not using the pupil’s preferred pronouns and said he was \u201cdevastated\u201d by the ruling, but owes no apology.<\/p>\n

He plans to appeal and is being supported by the Christian Legal Centre.<\/p>\n

‘I believe affirming children in gender confusion in the classroom is psychologically damaging for them. I refuse to go against my conscience and cause a child harm and refuse to apologise for that,’ he told the Telegraph.<\/p>\n

Standards ‘broken’<\/h2>\n

The panel claimed the teacher fell significantly short of the standard expected of a teacher.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, the teaching guide <\/b><\/a> says: “Teachers make the ‘education’ of their pupils their ‘first concern’, and are accountable for achieving the highest standards in work and conduct.<\/p>\n

“Teachers act with ‘honesty and integrity’; have strong subject knowledge, keep their knowledge and skills as teachers up-to-date and are self-critical; forge positive professional relationships; and work with parents in the best interests of their pupils”.<\/p>\n

‘Psychologically damaging’ for children<\/h2>\n

The ruling comes as schools wait for detailed government guidance for schools on how to respond to transgender pupils. The guidance is due to be published in summer 2023.<\/p>\n

A Whitehall source told the Telegraph<\/b><\/a> that the guidance will reflect the interim findings of the Cass review, an NHS-commissioned report by pediatrician Dr Hilary Cass.<\/p>\n

She warned that allowing children to \u201csocially transition\u201d to their preferred gender was \u201cnot a neutral act\u201d and could have a \u201csignificant\u201d impact on their \u201cpsychological functioning\u201d.<\/p>\n

More Risks<\/h2>\n

In our previous articles<\/b><\/a> , we made clear the risks of gender alteration, be it male or female.<\/p>\n

Although critics claim that gender reassignment procedures can alleviate the distress and psychological pain they say young people with gender dysphoria experience, vaginoplasty surgery carries risks and potential complications on top of the ill-effects of hormonal medicines.<\/p>\n

These risks include bleeding, infection, scarring, loss of sensation, complications related to anesthesia, or even death, as with the aforementioned 16-year-old.<\/p>\n

Recovery time can also be lengthy, and follow-up care is often required to monitor healing and address any issues that may arise.\u00a0 The Lord Jesus said medicine is for people who are ill:<\/p>\n

Matthew 9:12 But when Jesus heard that, he said unto them, They that be whole need not a physician, but they that are sick.<\/b><\/p>\n

In a separate case, a court has ruled against Christian parents who took a London school to court after it prevented pupils, including her 4-year-old son, from opting out of a school ‘gay pride’ event.<\/p>\n

Ms Izzy Montague filed a complaint after she was told her son could not opt out of an LGBTQ event staged at Heavers Farm School despite the family\u2019s Christian beliefs.<\/p>\n

The parents, Izzy and Shane Montague are to appeal their case<\/b><\/a> after the Central London County Court dismissed their claim against their child\u2019s former school, Heavers Farm, for attempting to force him to participate in an “LGBT-themed Pride Parade”.
\n<\/b><\/p>\n

Truth is indeed fallen and equity cannot enter when the UK establishment passes such perverse rulings. They can run on for a long time, but in the end, God will not be mocked:<\/p>\n

Eccl 5:8 If thou seest the oppression of the poor, and violent perverting of judgment and justice in a province, marvel not at the matter: for he that is higher than the highest regardeth; and there be higher than they.<\/strong><\/p>\n
